Rodinia decriminalizes Same-sex relationships
Grand Secretary Katerina Shoigu has signed legislation passed through the Advisory Council decriminalizing homosexuality. Homosexuality had been illegal in Rodinia from 1802 until 1933, and again from 2002 until the repeal of the Unnatural Secual Acts Bill signed into law by Alcina Zakhaeva. As part of the throngist agenda, the government is seeking to declare sexuality and gender identity as something beyond the state's paygrade, and something that should be left up to the individual.

Throngist improvements of social freedoms are a front for covering up continuing political repression

Do not believe the lies of the Throngist state media. Although they claim to desire to improve Rodinia's human rights record and give its citizens more freedoms, United Rodinia, the party led by Grand Secretary Katerina Shoigu has every intention of continuing the political repression of Alcina Zakhaeva and her regime. The only reason Zakhaeva was overthrown was because of a personal grudge against her Over ideological differences, not a desire for true democracy. To the international community, Radio Free Rodinia warns you not to believe a word out of the mouths of the Rodinian government.

The Juvraz Herald
Motion of referendum on ROS membership passes Parliament in a 594-206 vote

Late last week, Chancellor Tohar's government announced they would hold a vote known as a "motion of referendum" on whether or not Takiv should join the Raedlon Organization of States (ROS). The motion passed with the required 2/3rds majority in a vote of 594-206. All three parties in the government supported it unanimously, with 83 members of the opposition National Union Party also voting in favor. NUP leader Ranzik Nogha voted in favor of the motion. The success of the motion does not mean that the Chancellor will sign the Treaty of Sarruc and seek its ratification, nor does it mean that the government will seek the approval of the current members of the ROS regarding Takivaj membership. The success of a motion of referendum means that the issue of seeking ROS membership will be put to a referendum two weeks from now, on 11 December. If a simple majority of the public agrees that Takiv should move forward with joining the ROS, the government can then formally request candidate member status in the organization, sign the treaty, and ratify it. Ratification will once again take a 2/3rds vote, this time without Parliament acting in joint session, but in their separate chambers. If, at least 6 months after Takiv is granted candidate status, both chambers of Parliament ratify the Treaty of Sarruc, the current members of the ROS do not object to full Takivaj membership in the ROS, and the King grants royal assent to the treaty's ratification, Takiv will be officially granted full membership in the ROS. This process, though it may take a while, has the potential to be very beneficial to Takiv. Joining the ROS would bring Takiv into the region's largest trade bloc, and it would further integrate Takiv into Raedlon.
The Kingdom of Takiv is a nation in the Western Isles.

New First Secretary Cebra Tolar orders a number of new releases from prison in a fight against internal division and for National Reconciliation

New Head of State and Party, First Secretary of the Throngist Movement Party of Lesva, the Honorable Cebra Tolar, announces a number of new releases from prison and amnesty provisions for the formerly incarcerated people in a continued policy of National Unity and fixing internal division

Image

New Head of State and Party, First Secretary of the Throngist Movement Party of Lesva, the Honorable Cebra Tolar, is continuing the initiated, unofficially named Policy of National Reconciliation, Strengthening Unity and Fixing Rows, Rifts and Divisions, by declaring that there would be two new policy change announcements made today. The first was made at the State Realm of the Throngist Republic of Lesva, where the First Secretary of the Throngist Movement Party of Lesva announced before the Presidium and Political Bureau that there would be new releases from prison carried out. The details stayed behind closed doors, but later, First Secretary of the Throngist Movement Party of Lesva Cebra Tolar came to the Supreme National Carto of the Throngist Republic of Lesva to read out the list of new releases from prison and new cases of granting of amnesty before Members of the Throngist Movement Party of Lesva.

Speaking before Party Members at the Supreme National Carto, First Secretary Cebra Tolar read out a list of those newly released and provided with amnesty.

The list of those released and given amnesty is as follows:

Students and faculty who signed extremist documents:

Students and faculty, who were apprehended during a nationwide raid, for signing extremist documents proclaiming support for arrested extremists.

Members of garage band Chain:

A group of young musicians from the Glorious City of Saela, the National Capital of the Throngist Republic of Lesva, who were arrested for playing music and writing songs that were, at the time, considered to contain extremist content designed to fuel unrest and disorder.

Apprehended members of the extremist Blue Lotus movement:

An extremist movement with no centralized leadership and a widespread anonymity of members. The group emerged and was especially active during one of the past unrests, which caused for a number of its' members, caught in the middle of extremist activity, to be apprehended by Law Enforcement.

Signatories of extremist document Covenant 8:

Citizens from various walks of life, who had signed an extremist and illegal document that encourages chaos and anarchy in the Throngist Republic of Lesva through a provocation of violent insurrection.

Participants of past riots:

Everyone involved in the unrest in solidarity with pro-extremist students and faculty, who signed petitions to support extremists and the unrest after Lesvan Throngist Republic and Balniki Federation signed the Treaty on the Creation of the United Federation of Gael. This category does not include those involved with the recent unrest and riots, as First Secretary Cebra Tolar released them and provided them with amnesty earlier.

Participants of the rally against Lesvan Throngist Republic's military aid to Throngist Revolutions abroad:

Citizens undermining Revolutionary Confidence of fellow citizens towards the Lesvan Throngist Republic's efforts to support the Liberation Struggles of fellow Throngist Revolutionaries in other countries.

First Secretary Cebra Tolar argued that the release of many of these people might not immediately be accepted as the right course of action, but insisted that their crimes were not severe or dangerous for the Country enough for there to be a warranted need for these prisoners to remain isolated. Instead, the Head of State and Party weighed the benefits that these releases would have for the internal civil situation and domestic reconciliation. On an additional note, the First Secretary also talked about a Reannese spy, who was caught some time back, and confirmed that the Lesvan Throngist Republic and the Reannese Republic had exchanged the spy in a quiet transfer back when former First Secretary of the Throngist Movement Party of Lesva, the Honorable Jarren Prica, led the Country.

GLPRIE and CPRLIE struggle to find formats for potential future merger

Image Image

Flags used by Lesvan dissidents, the Government of the Lesvan Presidential Republic in exile (GLPRIE), the Council of the President of the Republic of Lesva in exile (CPRLIE), the Lesvan Resistance Forces (LRF), the Lesvan Liberation Army (LLA) and the Lesvan Volunteer Regiment (LVR). Symbols used by the Free Lesvan Army (FLA) are currently unknown.

Following a meeting in an anonymous third party location between the leaderships of the Government of the Lesvan Presidential Republic in exile (GLPRIE) and the Council of the President of the Republic of Lesva in exile (CPRLIE), ex-Prime Minister Agen Vopal, who presently heads GLPRIE as the political body's president, conversed with some representatives of the press in a news conference. He stated that it was pleasant that GLPRIE and CPRLIE are starting to once again find common ground after the fall-out that was experienced by members of both political bodies and officials of the former ousted Lesvan government, which fell after the Throngist takeover. Vopal called it a breakthrough that ousted President Puicu Gevin brought up the possibility of a merger between GLPRIE and CPRLIE to the level of his Council even possibly integrating into GLPRIE, because GLPRIE shares more international recognition and is a better contender to be legally considered an alternative government of Lesva to the Throngist dictatorship. At the same time, the ex-Prime Minister recognized that despite being part of the same last Lesvan government before the Saela Spring, the coup and the subsequent Throngist takeover, an ideological difference has developed between those in GLPRIE and CPRLIE despite them being on the same side once. This difference makes it more difficult for the parties to find how this possible merger or cooperation between them could occur and currently there is a lack of vision or formats how this could be realized. At the same time, GLPRIE and CPRLIE still agree that it would be more effective to strife for a creation of a single government-in-exile and a single alternative government of Lesva that could oppose the Throngist regime from the exile, therefore, both sides had at least agreed they would start looking for ways how to achieve this. As mentioned in our last story on this topic, Lesvan diaspora remains sceptical with relatively low approval rating of GLPRIE and CPRLIE because of the authoritarian government they formed in Lesva prior to their overthrow and the takeover of the present-day Throngist regime.

First Secretary Cebra Tolar announces an end to the military aid to the Barquetallian Throngist Front and the Old Guard Throngists in Lancenshire: Military returns home from aid supply missions

Head of State and Party, First Secretary of the Throngist Movement Party of Lesva, the Honorable Cebra Tolar, has announced that the Throngist Republic of Lesva would be ending the sending of military assistance to the Barquetallian Throngist Front (BTF) and the Old Guard Throngist Rebels in Lancenshire, with the Military ordered to head back towards the Lesvan Throngist Republic

Head of State and Party, First Secretary of the Throngist Movement Party of Lesva, the Honorable Cebra Tolar, declared that there would be two big announcements made today. The first, the People already know and that was the announcement of a new big number of releases in a continued effort to fix the divisions of internal struggle. That first announcement took place in the earlier part of the day by our local time. Now, as the Lesvan Throngist Republic approaches evening, the First Secretary of the Throngist Movement Party has come out with a new grand announcement, which likewise being presented as a change of policy for the sake of bringing ease to the Lesvan Throngist Republic from the unproductive strain and strife it has faced, instead looking for ways how to achieve our Revolutionary Goals by taking other roads.

At the Supreme National Carto of the Throngist Republic of Lesva, First Secretary of the Throngist Movement Party of Lesva Cebra Tolar came out before Members of the Throngist Movement Party of Lesva to make a second big announcement of today, which this time concerns foreign policy. First Secretary Cebra Tolar announced that after the Lesvan Throngist Republic paused military aid to the Barquetallian Throngist Front (BTF) Revolutionaries in Barquetallia under the Leadership of former First Secretary of the Throngist Movement Party of Lesva, the Honorable Jarren Prica, under the current Leadership of First Secretary Cebra Tolar, the Lesvan Throngist Republic would be ending military aid to BTF Revolutionaries in Barquetallia. Also, with the apparent conclusion of the civil war in Lancenshire, the Lesvan Throngist Republic would also be ending military aid to the Old Guard of the Throngist Revolutionaries in Lacenshire. Lesvan Throngist Armed Forces, specifically the Lesvan Throngist Air Force and the Lesvan Throngist Navy, were tasked with sending military aid to BTF in Barquetallia and the Old Guard in Lancenshire, however, with the Lesvan Throngist Republic now ending both those Operations, the Lesvan Throngist Air Force and the Lesvan Throngist Navy would now be leaving those parts of the Isles and returning back to the Lesvan Throngist Republic.

The decision to end Operations in relation to Barquetallia and Lancenshire, was made at a meeting at the State Realm of the Throngist Republic of Lesva with the participation of Head of State and Party, First Secretary of the Throngist Movement Party of Lesva, the Honorable Cebra Tolar, Head of Government, Chairman of the Council of Ministers of the Throngist Republic of Lesva, the Honorable Relac Calaidi, Minister-Secretary General of the Presidium and Political Bureau of the State Realm of the Throngist Republic of Lesva, the Honorable Ari Asvent, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Throngist Republic of Lesva, the Honorable Bera Rivasi, Minister of the Lesvan Throngist Armed Forces, the Honorable Colonel Velar Shrieva, and Chief of the General Staff of the Lesvan Throngist Armed Forces, the Honorable Major General Belo Motar. First Secretary Cebra Tolar convinced Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Throngist Republic of Lesva Bera Rivasi, who served under former First Secretary Jarren Prica and now under First Secretary Cebra Tolar, that the strategy needed to change and these two Operations had to conclude. Those gathered agreed with the First Secretary.

At the Supreme National Carto, when speaking with Party Members about the policy change, First Secretary Cebra Tolar gave the following justification:

"The strategy of military support to armed Throngist Revolutions has been a cause that did not achieve any results and did not bring about the achievement of goals of Liberation Struggles of these Peoples. Instead, it only caused destruction on the battlefield and prolonged fighting, while the Lesvan Throngist Republic was suffering under strain by draining ourselves to provide a lifeline for our Throngist brethren. But this bleeding dry did not help our fellow Revolutionaries and was not making life any better for us here. There was suffering with no result and a light at the end of the tunnel. Therefore, we had agreed that a much better strategy would be to take other paths in supporting our fellow Throngist Revolutionaries. We are not betraying anybody, but we are instead converting to a different methods of joining hands with our fellow Throngists and helping advance the Revolution and the multinational cause of all Peoples fighting for Liberation and for new meaning, a new type of life in a new type of society and a new type of humanity. Our beloved Capital Saela will soon host a historic inaugural summit of Throngist International, which would be the first ever such gathering of Throngists of all nationalities, from a number of countries, in a single location for the very first time. That is going to be the historic event that will prove we are trully an International Movement and that is going to be where we will discuss how to advance the Revolution in a more civilized manner and in what ways we will be building our bonds."

The speech was followed by applause from the gathered Party Members. Currently, Lesvan Throngist Republic is still sending military aid to Throngist Rebels in Vacrus and Butatlu.

National Council Votes to Join Raedlon Organization of States

Image
Highmoor / Amber Blackwood - Murmurings of wider political integration have come to fruition as the National Council votes 242-68 to send a letter of interest to Solaryia, Nhoor, and Belantica on joining the ROS. Speaker Ashcroft spoke of the value of joining the organization prior to the vote "We are experiencing a world dividing itself in twain, no nation can stand alone in this world longer, even one as powerful and great as Skilles. It is thus we must find allies, friends, partners of all kinds to bring about the future we so desire... The nations of the ROS are our closest partners, we trade with them, we share their values and they ours; peace, justice, and prosperity".

Notable dissenters include prominent Agrarians and Nationalist, divided over free movement of peoples and the stability of Skillen agriculture when facing foreign competitors. Julius Burton, Minister for Rural Affairs, attempted to temper his bloc's anger, noting the value brought to olive producers with the eliminated tariffs. The Office of Statistics suggests that GDP growth may increase by 10% (from 2.9% to 3.2%) should the Nation be accepted into the organization. Hawk member, ADM. August Lee spoke highly of the ROS members military strength, and the value mutual defence brings to the nation.

Following the vote George Wallace, Minister for Foreign Affairs, spoke directly to the members of the ROS, countering accusations of Skilles' faithlessness to human rights; "Democracy is no more a synonym to freedom as it is to quality. The rights of men are guaranteed not by being popular but by protected by strong legislative and judicial instruments. Here the people enjoy no less, perhaps even more, liberty than in other places among the Isles. The right to life, liberty, and privacy are enshrined in our constitution, they are protected by our judges and councilors, they are practiced by every man women and child. I express here, in the strongest terms I am capable of, that anyone so bold to suggest our people are subjugated to say such a thing to any Skillen on the street, and watch as they laugh."

Plane Carrying Kravatoan Basketball Team Located.

Image

The wreckage of flight 1403 was located earlier this morning by a bush plane.

NOVEMBER 19- The sports world is grappling with the harrowing loss that has unfolded over the past 48 hours. The Kaplo Bolts, a basketball team from Kravato, had embarked on a friendly match series with Baumish teams that took an unexpected tragic twist. The team had been in Baumes for nearly a week, participating in matches across Rochelle, Santiara, and Cavilas. After a recent game in Cavilas, the Kaplo Bolts chartered two flights from Caumas Air, a local charter airline based in Sizela, Baumes, intending to play their next game against the Guarem Tigers in the city of Sizela.

The Avia R1 aircraft, carrying a total of 28 people including players, coaching staff, and support personnel, took off from Cavilas sometime after 2pm for what should have been a routine short flight to Sizela. However, Flight 1403 took an unexpected turn. The aircraft declared a distress call as it began its descent towards Sizela. Reports from air traffic control indicate that both engines failed, leaving the crew with no choice but to initiate an emergency landing in the challenging Baumish rainforest terrain. Making a safe emergency landing in Sizela was deemed impossible under the circumstances. Unfortunately, the aircraft disappeared from radar screens after this distress call.

Baumish authorities immediately launched a search and rescue operation, deploying teams to navigate the dense rainforest in an effort to locate the crash site. The challenging conditions present at the time, including heavy rain and fog, have complicated the search efforts, making recovering the aircraft nearly impossible. The wreckage was spotted early this morning roughly northeast of the Cekalin mountains in the province of Ovada. The crash site indicates a very harsh landing, with the Avia R1 rolling over upon impact, resulting in the destruction of its wings. The aircraft split into three pieces, and the cockpit section suffered severe damage, almost disintegrating upon impact with trees. However, ten individuals, out of the 28 on board, have been found alive.

Miraculously, there was very little fire following the crash. The main fuel tank remained mostly intact, sparing those who had survived the initial impact from the threat of fire. The survivors, including players and members of the coaching staff, are currently receiving medical attention. Their conditions range from minor injuries to more severe trauma, and medical teams on-site are providing necessary care. Authorities are also recovering the remains of those who may not have survived the crash and collecting any evidence from the scene. The crash of Flight 1403 has also prompted an immediate investigation by the Baumish Aviation Authority to determine the cause of the incident.

Baumish Minister of Infrastructure and Transportation Alfredo Medeiros addressed the media earlier today, offering reassurance and outlining the ongoing efforts.

"This is a saddening incident, and our hearts go out to the Kaplo Bolts community and their families. Our search and rescue teams are working tirelessly to access the crash site, provide medical assistance to the survivors, and conduct a thorough investigation into the circumstances of this tragic event. We understand the anguish of those awaiting news, and we are committed to transparency in this process. Rest assured, no stone will be left unturned."

The Envoy will keep you notified on any possible updates regarding the situation.

BREAKING NEWS

REBEIRA: Mentally Insane Citizen Enacts Mass Shooting On Pre-Tertiary School In Unprecedented Hate Crime

The people of Rebeira, Tricklandia, and the nation as a whole, are "shocked and dismayed" at the events perpetrated a few hours ago.

Vânlē Rishar Chae'La Nihâman, 34-year-old foreign citizen residing in Tricklandia on a temporary work visa, reached the entrance of Law & International Relations Pre-Tertiary Institute of Southern Rebeira today November 29th, 2023, at approx. 3.30pm, embracing an illegally owned semi-automatic assault rifle, and opened fire on the main hall, purposely targetting Maurican and Maurican-looking individuals. The man then proceeded to hold hostage several classrooms in the ground and first floor of the building, ordering all non-Mauricans to leave the classes and metodically shooting the remaining people.

He then quickly escaped before the assigned contingent of TAL soldiers reached the crime scene.

Rishar Nihâman's folly claimed the lives of 4 people, and injured 13 more. Today, Tricklandia mourns the death of Mariz Sinchal (17, law student), Pedro Álmerio da Silva (18, international relations student), Mariana Setúbal (18, international relations student), Fábio Ruben Mendes (40, Gaeltic culture teacher).

The deranged shooter was known to healthcare professionals as suffering from paranoid personality disorder, obsessive-compulsive personality disorder, psychosis and mental delusions. He was prescribed several psychoactive medicines after a consultance with a psychiatrist in Tricklandia, and it is yet unknown if he stopped assuming them regularly.

Rishar Nihâman's intention were clearly political in mind. He posted a manifesto, which The Sentinel will not report as to not grant visibility to the shooter or his words, yesterday on his personal social media pages; the manifesto had clear, deplorable maurophobic and anti-Tricklandian sentiment, and allegedly linked him to an extreme, ultra-nationalist foreign historical paramilitary organization, the Red Hand Regiment (RHR), involved in the Trials of the Tsunterlands (1970-2000), responsible for several abhorrent hate and war crimes and forcibly disbanded in the 1990s.

More will follow as the situation unfolds.

Raedlon nations united in League vote

SĀRRUC, 27 November 2023 | The League of The Western Isles has elected a Deputy Secretary General. While this is not the most noteworthy event emanating from the League, note was taken in Nhoor by the fact that all voting nations on continental Raedlon supported the candidate from the Kingdom of Takiv, Mr Bazav Lokuj, the former Speaker of his country’s General Assembly. Despite the fact that the eventual winning candidate, Ms Grace Bosley, an ambassador from Great Altera, had a more distinguished resume and is better known internationally, the three delegations from Belantica, Nhoor, and Solaryia all voted for Mr Lokuj, in a move that could be interpreted as a gesture from those countries as a response to Takiv’s recent interest in the Raedlon Organization of States (ROS).

“I don’t think the ROS nations have ever presented themselves as united as they did in this case”, a spokesperson of the centre right party Citizens’ Initiative (Vastona jan Miruchea̦j, VM) said. “I am not even sure if it is a coincidence or if the member states arranged this before the vote.”

“If the ROS members were as agreed on more important issues than the Deputy Secretary General of the League, the organisation would make a lot more sense!” Sordws Debeqen, leader of the conservative and ROS-sceptic Party of Agrarians and Fishermen (Cwstana qo Curhisorhanoqo s Jo̦qhuroqo, CCJ) commented.

The vote on the Secretary General of the League a couple of weeks ago was more divided, with Belantica voting for Mr Samson from Biaten, who eventually won the election, Nhoor for Prime Minister Gorlazh of Bavarno, and the other nations of continental Raedlon abstaining. None of the nations on Raedlon however voted in favour of the recent Lesvan resolution to accept Throngism as a normal political ideology.

Political analyst Ɵriƨytus Bīcela̦ch is not ready yet to accept progress in ROS’s diplomatic integration. “The reason for the current unanimity could simply be that there was a candidate from Raedlon, while this was not the case with previous votes. As for the Lesvan resolution, it may be clear that no democratic nation would have supported it, no matter on which continent they are located.”

WORD OF MOUTH Tricklandian News
Inside The Mind Of A Killer: Rishar Nihâman's Manifesto

Our nation is still reeling in shock after the unprecedented massacre at the hands of Vânlē Rishar Chae'La Nihâman, 34-year-old man of Tsunter nationality who just executed four people of Maurican origin and injured 13 more in cold blood at Law & International Relations Pre-Tertiary Institute of Southern Rebeira, in a racial hate-fueled shooting the scale of which hasn't been seen in Tricklandia for almost a century.

Concerns about safety are starting to be raised, with the killer having been able to run away from the scene before the TAL could reach the area. He is currently loose, suspected to be somewhere in Mo'orahi Island, planning to escape to outside destinations.

Rishar Nihâman had posted a clear manifesto, apparently linking him to an old ethnic Tsunter supremacist paramilitary organization, the Red Hand Regiment (RHR), on all of his social media just yesterday; it has now been scrubbed from the Internet, but we at WOM have kept a back-up copy and will unveil it to you, right now.

Rishar wrote yesterday:
"I am not a Nihâman for nothing. I met Colonel Shrike in my sleep last night, and he officially told me: it is time to do my bidding. I've been here as a sleeper agent for far too long now; I was simply waiting. The Red Hand Regiment, back in my glorious home, told me. Colonel Shrike told me. I told it to myself too.

A month in this rotten piece disgracing the Eterna Sea has been more than enough to turn me from slightly hesitant to iron-willed. They call it Tricklandia, but it would be more accurate to scrub that name off the maps and replace it with "Greater Límnian", for it's what it is. This soil I stand on is what constitutes Tsunter nightmares: it counts 25 million fucking people, of which barely nine are native of this land. The fucking foreigners managed to tear the place apart century after century, and now it's theirs. The trains here speak six languages, and the one that actually belongs to this place is not the first, not the second, but the third one to be announced. And they are OK with it!

The A'ana are what the Tsunter would be were they fatter, lazier, and without a fucking spine. They're helpless in a sea of so called "positive diversity", and they lull each other to sleep singing songs of other worlds, pretending they can co-habit them."

He then added in a subsequent post, an hour later:

"My bidding will be done tomorrow afternoon. I already picked the target, long ago. I could smell those filthies everywhere, even in far-off towns, but this city in particular struck me.

It has a filthy Baumish name, filthy Baumish people, and yet it manages to be even filthier than Baumes. They have penetrated every nook and cranny of what A'ana call society. They have become a severe minority in their own fucking home.

I even discovered Tsunters living here from generations. They're OK with it somehow. Traitors.

But tomorrow, oh tomorrow... Shrike will at last announce his return through me. A'ana not going to change anything? Well, the Red Hand will swiftly come helping. You will see, filthy Tricklandia. You will see, glorious Tsunterlands. You will see, Isles. You will fucking see, Maurican world order."

First Secretary Cebra Tolar sends condolences to Tricklandia following mass shooting

Head of State and Party, First Secretary of the Throngist Movement Party of Lesva, the Honorable Cebra Tolar, sends condolences to the People of Tricklandia, following mass shooting in the country

The Supreme National Carto of the Throngist Republic of Lesva began today's session with a moment of silence. Members of the Throngist Movement Party of Lesva stood up and remained in silence for about a minute. This was done in honor of the victims of a shocking mass shooting in Tricklandia. Following the moment of silence, Head of State and Party, First Secretary of the Throngist Movement Party of Lesva, the Honorable Cebra Tolar, stood up and walked up to the podium. The First Secretary of the Throngist Movement Party of Lesva offered condolences to the People of Tricklandia over the tragedy.

First Secretary of the Throngist Movement Party of Lesva Cebra Tolar stated:

"Regardless of politics or the relationship between our countries, our hearts hurt for the People of Tricklandia. We want to stand with you as you heal from this tragedy and if there is anything the Lesvan Throngist Republic can do to help right now or during this situation, we are willing to step forth upon the first instance, when Tricklandia lets us know. Any mass shooting or killing is a tragedy regardless of context, but the fact that this was carried out as a hate crime hits close to home for us. We had a history of conflicts among Lesvans based on ethnic issues and the crisis we had gone through most recently with the riots, was likewise related to ethnic issues. We are not makong this about us, but we are simply stating that our own history and recent experience allows us to understand how dreadful these kinds of conflicts are. We wish this will not become an isolated tragedy that will be forgotten until the next similar one occurs. The Isles needs to make proper conclusions with each country separately and on an international law level to agree on measures we could adopt together to prevent tragedies like this. I am saying this as a former Minister of Ethnic and Cultural Issues, so these kinds of tragedies and issues are especially close to home for me, but this is not about me."

VinFrey Auto to open new Alteran Factory,
reviving a classic bus icon

Image

VinFrey Auto, an EV manufacturer based in the nation of Reann, has announced a deal to open up a new factory in Great Altera.

The new factory will produce a variety of large EVs for the Alteran market, namely focusing on electric buses and trucks.

VinFrey will primarily focus on an initial production of a modernised icon of the road in the 20th Century.

A new special production line will focus on the manufacture and assembly of a new 21st century version of the Altera Cromwell Automotives “Commuter” bus.

The deal is part of a ₠5 billion investment in Altera, utilising both private and public funds.

The factory is expected to create thousands of jobs and boost the local economy, as well as reduce greenhouse gas emissions and improve air quality.

VinFrey founder and CEO Lachlan Danton expressed his excitement about the partnership between Altera and Reann, saying that they are rising to meet the challenge of global climate change.

“We are thrilled to bring our innovative EV technology to Altera, a country that shares our vision of a sustainable and prosperous future."

"We believe that our electric buses and trucks will transform the transportation sector and make a positive impact on the environment and society.”

A spokesman from Cromwell, the original manufacturer of the Commuter bus, also celebrated the rebirth of a 1950s classic vehicle and how it will revolutionise a national icon.

“The Commuter bus is a symbol of Alteran culture and history, and we are proud to collaborate with VinFrey to give it a new lease of life."

"The new Commuter bus will retain its iconic design, but with a modern twist."

"It will be powered by a VinFrey EV battery, which will offer superior performance, efficiency, and reliability."

"It will also have smart features, such as wireless charging, autonomous driving, and digital signage."

"We are confident that the new Commuter bus will delight the passengers and drivers alike, and become a new favourite on the roads.”

Operations are scheduled to start in late 2024, and the first batch of the new Commuter buses is expected to roll out in early 2025.

Alongside the revived double-decker classic, VinFrey have also unveiled plans for a single deck, low-floor design for quieter low-density routes.

The Cromwell-VinFrey partnership will also explore the possibility of exporting the EVs to other countries, as well as licensing the VinFrey EV technology to Cromwell for its trucks and lorries for the domestic and military market.

The new factory is also a testament to Altera’s commitment to cutting greenhouse gas emissions and transitioning to a low-carbon economy.

The United Commonwealths continues to pioneer and lead the region in terms of renewable energy, with a high share of wind and nuclear power in its electricity mix.

Altera has also closed all its coal power plants in 2021, and has invested heavily in new Modular Nuclear Reactors and wind energy projects.

In addition, Altera has two major EV manufacturers, VinFrey Auto and Felix Automotives, that are producing high-quality and affordable EVs for the domestic and international markets.

Altera’s government has also implemented various policies and incentives to encourage the adoption of EVs, such as tax breaks, subsidies, charging infrastructure, and emission standards.

The government's efforts have been recognised by the international community, and the country has been praised for its leadership and innovation in tackling climate change.

Having a popular EV bus along the nation's commuter routes, replacing large numbers of polluting diesel vehicles, will only continue to foster that reputation and the drive for a secure green energy market.

Eagles Suffer Humiliating Start to IAFA Cup

Kravato - The Kaskalman Eagles have suffered a humiliating start to the IAFA Cup after two consecutive defeats, putting the nation in an embarrassing thirteenth place out of sixteen.

The national team was left battered after being throttled 31-17 last week. Receiver Michael Collins was knocked out of the game in the first quarter by a concussion, and his backup, Hans Köller, suffered a sprained ankle in the last quarter.

This week brought slightly better, yet still disappointing results. Scoring 27 points against the Oscotia Raptors, the Eagles fell just short of victory when they failed a two-point conversion in the last minute. Third-line receiver Derek Griffin performed exceptionally well, receiving for over 100 yards and scoring two touchdowns. However, the defensive team performed very poorly, with only one sack and no interceptions.

These results were significantly worse than many fans, analysts, and even players expected. Many fans are blaming the head coach, Charles Moore, for the poor performance. Following the previous head coach Dietrich ‘Deet’ Ollerich’s retirement, Moore was elected head coach for the national team. Moore was a control choice, considered a ‘rookie’ by many coaches; his only professional experience is two seasons as the head coach of the Whitecliff Privateers.

Most analysts, however, blame the team’s poor cohesion. In previous years, the team has mainly been made up of players from the Big Three: Neu Danzig, Ziezar, and Erding. Though this year marked a change, with players from teams all over Kaskalma, more importantly, from different conferences. The high turnover in players has led to more morale-related issues and divided the team.

If the Eagles are to have any hope of winning the IAFA, they’ll need to pull their act together. A stronger defensive line and better team cohesion are key to the team’s future success. With fans demanding better results and the League holding high expectations, the Eagles certainly face a lot of pressure in the buildup to Week 3.

Tricklandia Shooting: Perpetrator claims to have been inspired by Tsunter ultranationalists.

Image
"Colonel Shrike" Nihâman (52), photographed in 1975
Rishar Nihâman, the Tsunter citizen who killed four people and injured more than a dozen others in Rebeira, Tricklandia on Wednesday, claimed to have been motivated by visions of convicted war criminal “Colonel Shrike,” according to his manifesto published by Word of Mouth. The Tricklandian news blog claimed to have saved a backup of the manifesto, originally published by Rishar Nihâman before his killing spree, before being taken down by social media platforms following his attack. “Colonel Shrike” was the pseudonym of Trofimo Sevērin Chae’La Nihâman, who led the Red Hand Regiment, the ultranationalist paramilitary responsible for a number of bloody massacres of civilians during the late 1980s.

Born in the Interior in 1923, Nihâman served in the Free Tsunter Forces during the Imperial War, and, following the liberation of the country, was commissioned as an officer in the Armed Forces of the Republic of the Tsunterlands. Primarily responsible for overseeing the training of new recruits, he swiftly rose to the rank of colonel and became the commanding officer of a now decommissioned Infantry Training Centre in the Interior. The nickname “Colonel Shrike” came from his infamously shrill voice. Nihâman also became a leading light of the Tsunter Volunteers, a “community safety organization” from Tsunters living in the Interior and organized a number of counter-protests against the Maurican Civil Rights Movement.

Nihâman left the military in protest of the forced proscription of the Tsunter Volunteers following the killing of a Maurican 13-year-old in 1964, receiving an honourable discharge in the process. Although the events surrounding the formation of the RHR remain contested according to Shrike’s autobiography (published posthumously), he was approached in 1966 by a number of “like-minded, patriotic, and well-connected” individuals about organizing an underground, better-armed, and better-trained successor to the Tsunter Volunteers. This successor organization would eventually become known as the Red Hand Regiment (RHR), taking its name from a rebel group that had fought for the Tsunterlands' independence during the 1910s. Its’ existence would be revealed in 1971, and for the next two decades, the RHR would be an active paramilitary organization, primarily working to battle the Maurican Sovereignty Front (MSF) and other organizations fighting for an independent Maurican majority state to be carved out of the Tsunter Interior.

Image
"Shrike" Nihâman (83), standing trial in 2006
The RHR would commit a number of atrocities during this time. In 1973, they seized control of the town of Ekairetikí in the Interior, evicting local police forces and hunting down suspected Maurican Separatists, executing eight and torturing dozens more. They were also responsible for the kidnapping and executing Serafim Santini, who led the political wing of the Maurican Separatist movement. These actions were all committed under the leadership of Colonel Shrike. The RHR would play a significant role in assisting the military in overthrowing the democratic government of the Tsunterlands in 1979, and, under the Junta government, the organization would reach both the zenith of its power and the peak of its terror. The Junta increasingly relied on Shrike and the RHR to keep order in the Interior as it sought to reduce the number of soldiers active in the conflict. In an effort to “control the Maurican population,” tens of thousands of Maurican civilians were forcibly moved into fenced-off security settlements by government forces. In 1986, the RHR would enter many of these settlements, gather up the inhabitants, and massacre them. In total, around 20,000 Mauricans would lose their lives in these attacks. In 2004, Shrike confessed to organizing these mass killings in coordination with the Junta government.

Following the overthrow of the Military government in 1987 and the arrival of foreign peacekeepers as part of the International Stabilization Mission, the tide of war turned against Nihâman and the RHR. Nihâman would surrender to government forces in December of 1990. He spent the rest of his life in custody, being tried in the early 2000s and eventually being charged in 2007 with 21 counts of war crimes and sentenced to a whole-life tariff. In March of 2015, he was released on humanitarian grounds before dying the same year. Despite his many confessions, he maintained until his death he did not regret any action he took while leader of the Red Hand Regiment.

It is not yet known if Rishar Nihâman, the perpetrator of Wednesday’s Rebeira Shooting, had any personal connection with Colonel Shrike. It has been reported that many in the Nihâman clan still revere Shrike and his actions. However, so far, the evidence suggests that the primary reason for Rishar Nihâman’s actions were due to him being mentally deficient. In his manifesto, Rishar Nihâman claimed to have spoken with the deceased Shrike in his dreams who told him to take action against the Maurican population living in Tricklandia. Nihâman also claimed to be motivated by the difficult demographic situation of Tricklandia, a country whose indigenous people, the A’ana, have become a minority due to the influx of migrant and refugee communities. Nihâman cited the “Greater Límnian” conspiracy theory, which alleges that Baumish and Maurican-backed youths are manipulating public opinion and international affairs in order to establish a Maurican ethnostate, encompassing Argus and many former Baumish colonies. The “Greater Límnian” Theory was used during the 1970s to create support for the RHR in their mission to fight against Maurican separatism.

There are a number of inactive groups claiming to be successors of the RHR present in the Tsunterlands; however, none have claimed ownership of the attack in Rebeira. So far, the response from the Tsunterlands has been nothing but lamentation for the Tricklandias and condemnation of this tragedy. Multiple high-ranking members of the government, including all seven members of the Executive Council, have deplored Nihâman’s actions, with the phrase “Not In Our Name” being used to denounce the shooting. However, in the Maurican community, many are already jumping to conclusions about the RHR still being active and a threat and using the tragic killing of four incidents nearly a sea away to push their own political agendas. It will take patience, open communication, and forgiveness to ensure that three decades of hard-won peace are not lost due to the actions of a sick loner.

Ironmen Kick Off A Strong Season
It's the second week in the IAFA Cup, and the national American Football team, the Ironmen, are leading a strong start to the season. With only one loss and a win, the Ironmen have already placed themselves in the Top 5 of the tournament, thanks to a strong defense this year. On top of that, the team has a strong sesne of cohesion between themselves and the coaches.

"This year, we have assembled a top-notch team from some of the best players around the country," head coach Dale Gerr said in a press conference yesterday," and with our focus on a strong defense with a worthwhile offense, we should be in a good position throughout the season. We're only in the beginning, but myself, the other coaches, and the players are quite confident in our overall performance going forward. With that being said, we have strong competition this year, especially from the Raptors and the Knights, but we think that the Ironmen will be able to hold their own and climb their way further into the top positions."

With week 3 upon us, fans everywhere are getting ready for the heat to turn up, and bets are being made on how the positions will change as Week 3 starts.

Weather in Ahnerten, Wesland today: - Cloudy, Low of 0C, High of 9C

DOMESTIC: New high speed rail in Ainslie revives calls for Mandara Airport curfew

MANDARA (ANE) - The upcoming opening of Ainslie's third high speed rail line has re-opened debate on whether the Mandara International Airport - located along the urban Sunset Coast - should be subject to a curfew, ending the airport's 24-7 status that it has held since it opened. Up until now, Mandara's relative isolation had made the change somewhat unlikely. However, with government at all levels eager to make sure the ambitious greenfield rail project is a success, those advocating for the curfew are likely to get pragmatic support from the nation's leaders.

Mandara, a well known tourist city set on a coast of near uninterrupted beaches, has attracted those from across Ainslie and another nations to its shores - and its shopping precincts. HVR-3 is set to dramatically improve the capacity constraints at the city's airport and make it possible to further explore the prospect of a curfew.

Opinion remains divided, with local community groups campaigning for the curfew. Many of them cite the increased aircraft noise and the ever-growing frequency of planes flying into Mandara Airport as justification to make the change.

"Mandara Airport was never designed to have so many planes fly into it. The fact that Mandara has become such an important city for air travel highlights the success of our city, but a small few bare the disproportionate negative impacts. It is time for that to change, for the burden to be shared a bit more", a statement from seven residents groups representing those closest to the airport reads.

Local tourism operators are less than receptive to attempts to revive a discussion that had been shelved over five years ago.

"Mandara is a 24-7 city, unlike any other in the country. We are lively, vibrant and an attractive place for tourism. To say that a high speed rail line is going to be a viable option for the thousands who fly into the city overnight from nations far from here simply makes no sense. Practically, if someone is going to choose between being able to fly into an destination and fly into and have to catch a train to get to the city you want to, they're going to pick that first option. There is definitely a segment in the market who visit Mandara from Ahnerten or Arborai, but the reality of the matter is much of the overseas flights have nothing to do with the rest of the country - they are people visiting Mandara, and that's it. An airport curfew would make it significantly more difficult for this to occur and would send a message not only to the market but to tourism more broadly that Mandara is simply not open anymore."

Unlike in Arborai and Ahnerten where the airports are relatively far from urban areas, Mandara's airport sits in an urban corridor surging in growth between the city centre and the growing centre of Caranore. The greater metropolitan area now has in excess of three million residents, many of whom rely on the airport for travel outside of their city.

"To visit Arborai or Ahnerten from Mandara up until next year means to fly. To visit practically anywhere outside of our immediate region has meant to fly.", Mandara-based transit commentator Betran Barell told Arindai.

The reliance on the airport, and hence the lack of workability of a curfew, has been largely attributed to the fact Mandara is unique amongst Ahnslen cities as a major urban centre that has been consistently somewhat isolated in terms of infrastructure. As Terelli Garva, a member of the Arenessé Elessar, explains:

"Mandara is relatively unique amongst Ahnslen cities. We are our own urban corridor here, our own urban centre. It is only here that the sort of large nation-building infrastructure has not taken place. It is true we are over-reliant on our airport and that is an indictment on how governments have simply built us a highway and an airport and hoped we would make do with that. The calls for a Mandara Airport curfew are only so controversial simply because up to now we have had no option to go long distances other than personal vehicle, standard rail or airport."

The relative isolation is set to end though, as Hau Vellosie Rall 3 (English: High Speed Rail 3) will cut travel times between Mandara and other Ahnslen centres such as Arborai and Ahnerten - significantly lessening the need for domestic air travel along what has been up until now some of the most popular routes in the nation. It is on this basis that many are now saying it is time to allow thousands to have a good night's sleep, prioritise international travel during the day and promote HVR-3 for domestic travellers.

"The success of the HVR-1 can become the success of the HVR-3. There is going to be so many travellers already transferring at Reneau to take advantage of a speedy connection to Harlessie. Many can and should be convinced that the southward transfer is equally a good option. A curfew would help move people towards cleaner, greener and friendlier transport options", Barell, who is in support of the airport curfew, explains.

Whilst it is unclear whether the government will entertain the renewed interest in an airport curfew, it is reasonable to believe that reviews of the HVR-3 - which are to include "nation-wide transport adjustments" across the centre of the nation - would include how to better connect and use existing infrastructure such as the Mandara Airport in light of the new rail options.

"HVR-3 is a gamechanger for central Ainslie, and with major changes, there is a need to review wider arrangements so everything works together and not against one another", reads a Ministry for Infrastructure Consultation Paper which focuses on the development of urban centres along the rail line.

DOMESTIC: Unease about Lesva spreads across Sapphire Coast border communities

DENAROW (ANE) - Communities are becoming increasingly nervous in a small stretch of strategically important coastline between Lesva and Arborai. This is as a result of warnings given by Lesvan diaspora civil society groups in Arborai that the regime in Saela is planning an imminent invasion of the area. In particular, the comments of Siva Gaven - a political science professor in exile - have struck a chord across the north of Ainslie. She explains:

"The regime, or regimes, in Saela I should say, have become increasingly irrational and belligerant in the international community. They have supported many overseas wars and it seems possible they may draw upon settled history to justify a claim over the Sapphire Coast, which is rightfully Ahnslen."

This settled history Gaven speaks of is the transition and transformation of the area from a Lesvan-majority region to an Ahnslen majority region following the War of the Arlacene which saw the Kingdom of Norland annex the land. The Kingdom of Norland then joined the nation of Ainslie, resulting in the land becoming Ahnslen. However, sizeable Lesvan minorities still remain - particularly in border communities such as Reslen and Nerau. Gaven, in an opinion article offered to News 24 today, described this shift as "something the unapologetically nostalgic and unpredictable autocrats of Lesva" would see as a mistake.

Growing tensions in the area since the Saela Spring have created a situation where there has been a rise in anti-Lesvan sentiment. Life in the Sapphire Coast has been becoming increasingly difficult as locals are surging ahead with a renaissance in the use of the Arnish language. This goes against trends in the rest of the country, particularly in non-Arnish areas where there has been a steady adoption and prioritisation of English. Shop signs, government documents and common conversation is increasingly occuring in Arnish as is the preferred language in classes. The government has also confirmed that applications for gun licenses have increased in the area, as have small civil demonstrations organised by nationalist groups who have been gaining more support from locals in the area. Publically available statistics document a surge in reports of suspected racial discrimination in many of the urban centres in and in the vicinity of the region.

Following a visit to Denarow in Ainslie's north for unrelated reasons, the Ahnslen Foreign Minister had a chance meeting with Lesvan activists who had been holding community engagement talks in the area. Ms. Carvali offered a rather direct response to a small but vocal group made up of Lesvan activists, Ahnslen nationalists and locals who confronted her outside of the town hall in Denarow.

"We have no reason to think Lesva will attack the Sapphire Coast. If they do, they will not be met with open arms and the outcome would be disastorous for them. They have no reason to invade Ainslie, and a powerful reason not to."

The comments have not quelled the frustrations of local communities who have been demanding increasingly anti-Lesvan policies and programs - particularly in what they see as a necessary move to lessen the influence of Lesva across the Sapphire Coast. The Ahnslen Government has not entertained these, nor has the Electoral Government of Norlands who have direct oversight over the region.

It is expected that eventually the Lesvan regime will respond to the events occuring just over its border, though it is hoped these will be rather measured and diplomatic, in tandem with Ainslie's publicised approach with Saela so far.

On the final day of the First Inaugural Congress of Throngist International, the most important vote of selecting the leader and face of Throngist International has been made. Head of State and Party, First Secretary of the Throngist Movement Party of Lesva, the Honorable Cebra Tolar, was elected Secretary General of Throngist International. The Leader now simultaneously holds two positions of being the Head of State and Party of the Lesvan Throngist Republic and also Head and Face of Throngist International. The First Secretary of the Throngist Movement Party of Lesva stated that Throngist International will hopefully lay the ground work for eventually creating a Throngist bloc of countries. Currently, the Throngist Republic of Lesva remains the sole official Throngist State, despite Revolutionary Liberation Struggles for a Throngist Future taking place in other countries right now, however, the Federation of Rodinia appears to be on the rise as the second Throngist State.

In other news
  • Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Throngist Republic of Lesva, the Honorable Bera Rivasi: "If the Federation of Rodinia is indeed a second country, where the Throngist Revolution has triumphed, then we will definitely be looking forward to extending our hand of fraternal Throngist partnership."

  • Head of Government, Chairman of the Council of Ministers of the Throngist Republic of Lesva, the Honorable Relac Calaidi, will be visiting the border of the Throngist Republic of Lesva with the United Electorates of Ainslie to address extremists aiming to decay the Ahnslen-Lesvan relationship.

Lesvan diaspora perceives Throngist Lesva's participation in the Islesvision Song Contest as a PR stunt and propaganda strategy for the regime

Lesvan diaspora is sceptical of the legitimacy of Throngist Lesva's participation in the Islesvision Song Contest after the Throngist regime decided to partake in the international musical competition. After the recent end of radical Jarren Prica's hardliner reign in Throngist Lesva, the current head of the regime Cebra Tolar has started a moderate era with attempts of changing policy and moving Throngist Lesva in a different direction than the one where Prica and other predecessors moved the country in. This is indicated by unprecedented mass releases of political prisoners, amnesties, rehabilitation of the repressed, as well as a reversal of Prica's radical sponsorship of multiple Throngist rebellions abroad for the cause of spreading Throngism. The Throngist regime under Tolar instead seems to be focused on efforts to move away from the radical and militaristic image of predecessors towards a softer, more human and more moderate reputation and that is where the Islesvision Song Contest may be coming into play.

Although the Lesvan diaspora is happy for whichever artist or artists will get to represent Lesva at an international song and musical competition and they will be even more happy in proud of that artist's victory, the Lesvan diaspora is sceptical of Throngist Lesva's participation and its' legitimacy, believing that it could play into the regime's hands as a PR stunt and a win for the regime's propaganda strategy. In case of Lesvan victory, which would cause internal patriotic joy among the anti-Throngist Lesvan diaspora, the concern would be that the Throngist regime could claim it as its' own victory. Some Lesvan organizations abroad are consiferingnwriting to the organizers of the contest with a request to ban Throngist Lesva from participating, however, there is doubt that the non-poltical competition would agree to ban a coubtry from participating for political reasons and also, there is not much support for the initiative among the Lesvan diaspora, because it would deprive a fellow Lesvan or multiple Lesvan artists from participating. Ultimately, ylthe ban would hurt the artists and not the regime.

Rodinian authorities ask Grand Court to declare LGBT rights a social issue rather than a political one, allowing the LGBT community to have freedom of expression

The Throngist government of Rodinia has formally requested the Grand Court declare that LGBT rights and LGBT activism be deemed a social issue, rather than an attack on the state and its policies. As part of a continuing move to socially liberalize the nation, the Rodinian state is moving to declare sexuality and gender identity a matter of the individual, rather than something being the state's responsibility.
