The fourth division is nothing to scoff at. Plenty of players got their start here straight out of university/academy and were at this level before moving up to the third, second, or first. Many Ko-orenites will try to convince you that this is the tier with the best scouts - or maybe just a better local network of guys whose neighbours' colleagues' acquaintance's son is really good at football in rainy Strongfair, freezing Launott, or scorching Suinohiro. Either way, it's hard to earn promotion from this to the de facto professional third tier, with Myaranowra Salamantica making the jump not for the first time in club history. Aminey Avalanche - definitely a presence in the city that's obsessed with Aminey CS - also go up. Heartbreak for Launott, who really thought they were ready for a step up this season, but fall short right at the end on goal difference, with many Intermarean clubs just behind, also not making any jump soon. Ferncombe had been eyeing a lateral move into the South, but with the onslaught of powerful southwestern clubs - finally realising their potential with the fully open pyramid - storming the higher divisions, Ferncombe has to stay put with biweekly long travel. Grainshire United also thought they were ready for promotion but they were closer to a move down than a move up.
Playoffs Division 3-4
Limecroft Et Abyss FC - Teragaseki Agg. 4-1 (1-0 3-1)
Huthwich Et Iduloren FC - Mawrystwyth Agg. 3-3 (0-0 3-3) pen 3-4
The playoff picture is pretty interesting: Limecroft Et Abyss FC won both legs and will finally be going up - Central Surbourneshire, without many towns or cities but with a significant contribution to the national GDP through agriculture, is finally represented. The club is financially extremely well off for a 'small' club from the sticks, and now they leave Teragaseki behind, a club with plenty of experience on and off the field with professional football as high as the Second Division. The first match was close enough, but in Teragaseki, Limecroft ran up the score to 3-0 after half an hour, then sat back. The home team couldn't do much and the fans watched another 60 minutes where their club only could get one back. The other playoff was very close, with three lead changes in the final half of the second leg and needing penalties to get anywhere. Huthwich geared up to finally get what they deserve higher in the rankings but Mawrystwyth was just a little more efficient on home turf.

Now we're starting to talk. The Fifth Division is not to be underestimated, even if it counts as fully amateur. It's the highest all-amateur tier in the pyramid, home to many players that once were pros, were close to becoming pros, or players that have always treated football as a hobby or a plan B. That still means that of the 24 teams, eight will continue in the sixth tier, with Mayara Soccer Guild - a modern addition to the pyramid, and a much maligned corporate-sounding one - as one of them. The once-ambitious Anarcourt, as well as the Grenslanden and Eaglebury join them. You'll probably find many football fans who have heard of these teams, as solid, stable teams in the fourth tier under the old system, each threatening promotion to the third tier at some point. Those plans are in the fridge now, if they ever escape the sixth tier again. For the South, we'll no longer see rivals Norille and Linieux, though at least that rivalry of the central riverlands continues elsewhere, and Llandy and Yonenomura also go down.
But what about the top? Well, Aerellen Honoa, a team from the northeast that has been looking vaguely dangerous for a bit in Serevne's wake, has won the north ahead of Gakhithrau, who have earned their first stint in semi-pro football, as a rare Greater Capitals team. In the South, we find Opalshire - now looking to put pressure on regional rivals Cirelbourne (both of them, actually) and Bruncester, and Cirelbourne United themselves - so at least one southeastern rivalry continues. They'll join Zinchester Town in the fourth division south for a slightly suboptimal pairing of rivals - especially without Bruncester or Cirelbourne Townside, but eastern Surbourneshire remains well represented at least.
Playoffs Division 4-5
Sauzjaregaun Saulrag - Laringen Almoedskapers Agg. 4-3 (1-1 3-2)
April Bassin FC - Granon Altair CF Agg. 1-7 (1-6 0-1)
Bellmare Union - Nitoya Ninabasa Agg. 4-1 (0-0 4-1)
Liberazul Epitieres - Cerryrhos yDhiwmydis Agg. 3-3 (1-1 2-2) pen 5-6
Taking on the unlucky fourth tier teams, Granon Altair completely destroy April Bassin - so much for the latter's ambitions to join the national top. The 1-6 in the first match kind of decides it. Bellmare Union retain their spot with a 1-4 away win at Nitoya, with Sauzjaregaun also staying put with a late 2-3 winner at Laringen. The fourth pairing is all draws until we go straight to penalties after the 90th minute in Cerryrhos, and with that, the southwesterners kick Epitieres down one rung.

Greencaster have found their winning ways last season after years of being among the top teams - can they repeat for another title? Or will
Leeshire make good on their promises and return to their season 15 form?
East Surbourneshire are on the scene, typically not the team you think of for First Class cricket but the new generation cannot be ignored.
Mawryshire are the team with the longest title drought (since season 7) but could they have just enough with their young batting lineup to get it done? Their bowling is certainly more experienced, is this a winning mix - the veterans taking wickets on unpredictable Mawr soil and the batsmen showcasing faster scoring rates in other ovals?
West Surbourneshire
Willowbourne

Greencaster Heralds finally, finally got their trophy. After years of domination but falling short in the finals, they finally got there. In eleven seasons, we have had only one repeat winner (the
Greencaster Bears, two titles) and that highlights the fun (or randomness) of this competition. For this edition, we're looking towards the
Eastern Miners,
Mawrystwyth Mustangs, and
Redberry Meadows Aldermen for success - yes, the Aldermen, taking over from the Linieux Lieutenants as the first and only move so far in this competition.
