It was time. Sarabola led the players on to the field, their green away jerseys shining in the floodlights. Across the halfway line, the second-best independent association lined up. Trolleborg was going to be a real test for the Claws, and one that would have them backpedaling through the group. After the anthems and opening announcements, the squads jogged over to the field boards to have their pictures taken. It was a varied squad from the one that had started in Saterun's very first IAC, several cycles ago. The starting XI was mostly unchanged from the one that began the tournament this time round, except for Jeffery Copeland starting in for a tired Andrei Corio. The players found their position, stretched a bit, and were ready to go.

Although there was some bright possesion play, Trolleborg had control of the ball right from the start. Their midfield was bossing the central area, with Kenneth Pathmoor passing circles around both Becker and Copeland. The Claws were initially very disciplined, and were able to combat the Trolleborg team's attacking play with rigid defense covering every area of the field. However, as the game wore on, the Saterun players began to get more disorganized. Several times there were too many players in one position and not enough elsewhere. That, arguably, was what lead to the first Trolleborg goal. A developing pass from Holst was intercepted in Saterun's third, and both he and Sarabola went for the opposing player. This left Karsten Gould completely open at the edge of the box, where he played a perfectly lifted ball into the box for Morten Kroonquist to finish with a delicate header into the bottom left. As the players wheeled off in celebration, they left Abiatti screaming at his defense to organize themselves. After 21 minutes, Saterun were down a goal.

Ralf's intimidation of his defenders seemed to work for the duration of the half. Although they were still under heavy pressure, they communicated well and cleared every Trolleborg chance. In the 42nd, Bates scraped the post in what would have been his third of the tournament. The team, although dissapointed with conceding, went into the lockers with high spirits. Kameron made sure to give a short and sweet speech, usually the best for this situation. He brought on Mohammed Halle for some pace in his defense.

But Trolleborg had also used the break to good effect. When they came out, they were raring to go, full of desire. The Claws, not so much. And the situation inside of the first five minutes only increased that. Trolleborg got so close to doubling their lead, only for Addams to clear it off the line. If Saterun had been gaining ground near the end of the first half, they were certainly losing it now. And the pressure kept piling on. It started to get to the Claws, who put in some bad challenges. In the 67th minute, Avishai Demare two-footed Kendall Kerl inside the box. It was an instant penalty. The question was if it deserved a red or a yellow. After VAR review, the referee decided to give Demare a yellow due to the fact that he showed intent to go for the ball. However, it was still a penalty. Kerl slotted it home with ease to take the score to 2-0. And so it remained for the rest of the game. Even though both teams got chances, the most notable one being Torben Scantorp grazing the crossbar from 23 yards out, the score would remain unchanged.

As the final whistle blew, Kameron Boyd had a lot on his mind. Yes, this was expected to be a challenging match, but he was shocked at how easily his team had crumbled under the pressure. They needed to work on that in training. As he strode into the dressing room, he saw many long faces. Yes, it would be easier to just leave the stadium without saying anything to his players, but that's not what a good manager would do. "I know this match was hard for you. So let's break it down. I think our main strengths came at the end of the first half. Maksymillian, your effort could have easily been a goal. I think we made strides in that time, but the break stopped our momentum. We definetely need to work on holding our shape and our calm. Avishai, I know you may have been going for the ball, but we need to maintain a level of perfessionalism with our tackles. We should never give away penalties. Even though this wasn't our best performance, it does give us something to work on. I expect to see you all at training tommorrow. Have a good night, and understand that I'm not angry at you. You were fighting an uphill battle. But, every time you do, you make the hill a little flatter."

The debut for the "new" Kick Corps was going as well as it could possibly go. It was all that player-manager Ellzidan could hope for. She strong-armed DISC (read: threatened them at knifepoint) to hire her as the manager for the new generation of the Corps, following the firing of the Elite Eleven. It was done with the intention of allowing a smoother transition from one team to the next, as 80% of the incoming roster had zero World Cup level experience. About half of the team had gained experience playing as the "Expo Corps" in a couple Brevity Cups, but the World Cup is probably fifty times more difficult than the Brevity.

Though the new-look Corps would fall just short of qualification in their first cycle, their first Independents Cup was perfect through the first three games of the group stage. When the Elite Eleven took over the national team, their first IAC was also a 5-game group stage, in which they went 4-1-0 and cruised to a semifinal loss, followed by a loss to the Squornshelan Remnant States in the 3PPO. The goal for this tournament, though it may be much more difficult now than back then, is to beat that mark one way or another.

The schedule happens to be quite backloaded for Drawkland in this group stage. They began with two glorified warmups between debutants and a nation outside the top 50, and their first challenge came against IAC-ranked 46 Britonisea. The opener against Katten en Kittens van de Wereld, a nation and team made up of actual cats, went swimmingly. Shelby Rider, Cam Cross, and Electra Gordon all scored in the first half, and the team rotated to backups for the second half to save energy for the starters en route to a 3-1 win. For the second match against unranked Supermassive Sea Dome Anarchists, Ellzidan rested the starters and had a bench lineup compete for the whole game. Rookie midfielder Emily Tobin scored twice, and the defense only gave up one goal to snag the 2-1 win. A hybrid lineup was used for the third match against Britonisea. Tobin scored once again, alongside Cam Cross (again), and two goals from Praxis Collingwood, who got the start at CF rather than her normal WF. It was a 4-1 win, bringing Drawkland to a tournament-best +6 PD and 9 points.

Almost too quickly, the biggest challenge of the cycle comes against Juvencus in the fourth match of the stage. This isn't your average Revoda Sea Rivalry game. This is IAC #1, defending champion Juvencus playing a rebuilding Drawkland. For the first time in years, if ever, the Kick Corps will be the underdogs against Gli attaccanti. That said, the challenge isn't impossible. This Corps offense has been on fire, though the defense has a little to be desired. This is both a blessing and a curse against the hyper-offensive Juvencus front. You need the offense to be able to score on demand in order to keep up in a possible shootout, but you also have to hope the defense can tighten up just enough to keep Gli attaccanti from surging too far ahead.

Though the remaining schedule of #1 Juvencus and #22 Valentine Z is no picnic, the Corps did their job against the lower seeds to keep their playoff hopes healthy. It's too early for a clinch, especially if the Corps pulls zero points from the Juvencus matchup. Still, with the top two in each group making the playoffs in addition to the four best third-placers, Drawkland is in a very good spot even with a potential collapse on the cards. Aspirations of a playoff run are another thing entirely, but this match against our Sonnelian brothers will do a lot to show just how much mettle this new Corps has.

Knockout Door Opened

Mudra, Poafmersia — The 19th edition of Independent Association Cup have reached its fourth group stage match. And Cakranegara who is drawn in Group A was facing the group's favorite and pot 1 team, HUElavia. The team was in high spirit after a huge win in the third match against Khoxsa. They enter Red Mudra Lane with hope to be able to win the match and secure their place in the knockout stage. The match went so tight as both teams were eyeing the leader of the group. Unfortunately, Cakranegara have to admit their lose. Only been able to scored 2 goals from Musadi and Fatoni, they were one goal short from HUElavia who scored 3 goals in the match and bring them to victory. It was also becomes Cakranegara's first lose in this IAC edition. Despite losing, Cakranegara is still in their path to the knockout stage. The result make them on hold in the second place with 3 points difference than group leader, HUElavia and a better head-to-head with Harry Islands who is placed 3rd.

In the last group stage match, Cakranegara will be facing Aquatian. The team have to win their last match in order to secure their automatic qualification to the knockout stage as the top 2 of the group. On the other hand, HUElavia and Harry Islands will be facing each other in the last match day. A draw is enough for HUElavia to lead the group even if Cakranegara win its match as HUElavia will lead 1 point ahead of them. For the last match, Cakranegara will travel to Kistina in Ramadu Trish province. Stadium Theatre of Light in the city will be the venue of their match. Tickets quota for Cakranegaran supporters are not sold out as only a few of them that are able to watch the match live in Poafmersia. But for domestic viewers, COK, Cakranegaran public broadcaster as the official broadcaster of IAC 19 will broadcasted the match.

Part 1 | Part 2 | Part 3

Qadari is playing with his coffee spoon in his private meeting room. After a rather intense meeting with Pemecutan Patih Made yesterday, he is now meet the leader of neighboring country, Cakranegara. He hoped that Hambali, Cakranegaran President might agree to unification. However...

"It won't be happening. I'm sorry, Qadari," said Hambali after he was given the question.
"Can't you persuade the mass? The parliament?" asked Qadari as he drink his coffee.
Hambali shakes his head. "You must understand the hatred that build up in the heart of Cakranegaran towards Pemecutan. Despite it's already decades ago but it is still there. How they interfere in our Civil War and became the decider of the outcome. They took Gili Tangkong from us," explain Hambali.
Qadari nod. "I do understand. I just thought that you can make an exception in this because it will be helping our country too."
"You know that the opposition have growing lately just because I made some deal with Pemecutan?" informed Hambali. "Any cooperation with Pemecutan is seen as a stain. Our people are still angry with their government," he added.
Qadari sighing heavily. He feels like facing a huge and big wall in front of him. Seems like most of the countries objected the unification. Or is it too soon?

As the second meeting also become a failure, Qadari feel it is a wasting time to asked the remaining members. He can predict that Gili Anakan won't agree too. Their relationship with Cakranegara is also not improving much despite the open border. And Soracana Islands? They just like Pemecutan puppet state. Being under the protection of that Mandarin powerhouse have made Soracana Islands took the same view as Pemecutan. "Then this meeting become useless", he say to himself. Maybe if he can get news from Rarungan then he will feel better. But it seems that Rarungan might also pullout their support. Then, he is alone in this unification plan? He must do something tomorrow, the last day of the meeting. The gathering have been prepare but nothing has come out as plan. He enter his private chamber and lock the door behind him. He don't want to be disturb.

In Matchday 4. Maraonia was beaten by Indusse 2-1 which sees the Maraonians drop to 4th place in the group. The only goal from Maraonia came from Sebastião Proença. Maraonia have still got 1 game to go in the IAC 19 Group stages until the knockout stages.

Abanhfleft 2 X 3 Harry Islands

An exciting and historic game for Harry Islands.
Minutes before the start of the game, the Harry Islands fans were rocking the stadium! The fans had a huge party inside and outside the Stadium, with the band Harryan playing at full volume, always in support of the team, when the players arrived at the stadium, the fans went crazy, when the game started, the fans looked for all ways to provoke and distract opposing players, there were even some small incidents with fireworks.
Abanhfleft scored 2 - 0 in the first half (Abanhfleft's first goal in the 15th minute, second goal in the 34th minute), but at the end of the first half, in the 43rd minute, Artur Santos scored a beautiful goal with a strong shot from outside the box, and the crowd jumps wildly celebrating and singing.
In the second half, the competition is fierce, with both teams managing to attack and create good chances, until at 26', Abanhfleft scores a goal, but it was invalidated due to an offside, the Harryan fans feel an immediate and gigantic relief, a few minutes later, at 32', Eduardo Ramos, in a counterattack by Harry Islands, doesn't think twice and runs as fast as he can, and scores a goal with a low shot into the right corner, and thus ties the game, the fans jumped again and sang intensely, the stadium was in a true earthquake of euphoria, at the end of the game, in the 87' minute, Artur Santos manages to dribble past the midfielders and advances towards the penalty area, until he suffers a foul outside from the penalty area, the referee did not apply any card (and the Harryan fans complained), the opposing players form a barrier, and Artur was designated to charge, Artur prepares, takes a deep breath and shoots, the ball curves to the bottom right corner and comes in, a beautiful goal, and again, the Harryan fans celebrate, it was an immense and contagious joy, they never thought that Harry Islands could come back in such a close game, with a team so experienced in the championship, everyone just shouted one name in the stands: Artur.
When the referee whistled the end of the game, the screams of celebration became increasingly intense, the stadium shook, and Artur Santos was crowned best player of the match by the Harryans, and also by some from Abanhfleft, a fan said after the end of the game: "I almost had a heart attack, but I can finally rest easy again haha, I'm going to extend my stay here, I never thought we would advance to the knockout rounds."
When the players arrived at the hotel where they were staying, a huge crowd of fans and curious locals occupied the front of the hotel waiting for the team's arrival. The fans reciprocated with their great support and thanks, as well as later dispersing to leave the players resting.

Boot It: We Have SOMETHING!

Postby TJUN-ia » Sat Sep 16, 2023 1:40 pm

By Peter Davis

FINALLY! We have SOMETHING!

After all the recent pain and suffering that the Jagaurs of TJUN-ia had suffered at this IAC, this matchup against Shinshiro and Yashio finally would give us all the joy in the world. Both halves would end up being tight affairs, but the overall score certainly did compliment us overall. S&Y did manage to score twice past Alex McVerner, but our players were never going to accept that and goals from Jackson Smith-Scott (2), Jose Lozano de la Cruz and Frederico Jiminez would ensure these crucial 3 points headed our way.

Only one game left to go, against Montana Verde, before we know whether or not we have done enough to secure our place in the knockout rounds. We're going to try everything within our abilities to try and get those damn points and make our cases heard. But will it be enough? That I do not know. GO JAGS!

A lot rode on this game. Yes, Saterun were the favorites, but many a time in this competition had they lost out to worse teams. And always at crucial times like these. The Claws could still technically make it out even if they lost, but it would make their job a lot harder. The players knew this. After the game against Trolleborg, Kameron knew he needed to start a full strength squad. The next 93 minutes showed him exactly why.

The Claws got off to a strong start and never looked like stopping. Thiago Esparza was picked out by Glenn Lundquist at the far post and headed a clean ball into the back of the net in the 13th minute. No one on the Saterun squad could score like Thiago did. His profiecency in front of goal had given him 82 goals for the Claws, and he had just added one more. The stadium was raucous, the players were energized from a good start, and were about to kick it up a gear. Starting with Johnothan Post collecting the ball in the back and working it down the side through Kaka Sarabola, the Claws began a fierce passing game. The whole team worked together to laser the ball down the field, where it eventually found the feet of rising star Maksymillian Bates. He cut back onto his right, steadied himself, and let fly. The ball clipped the underside of the bar, knocked off the inside of the post, and bounced in. There was nothing the goalkeeper could have done. 10 minutes after the first goal, Saterun had doubled their lead.

After that, it did get a little shaky. Zeldaxa was pushed on by desperation, knowing they were out if they lost and results in other places didn't go their way. A mistake by Saveli Holst under pressure lead to the unranked team getting a clear shot on Ralf Abiatti, and a well placed bottom corner shot cut the Claws back down to earth. In the moment, Kameron remembered a common football saying: "2-0 is the most dangerous scoreline." The leading team got complacent, and the losing team had nothing further to lose. He needed to stop this. But it wasn't time for a substitution yet. He yelled over to his players as they were getting set up. A slightly different formation was in order. Johnothan shifted slightly forward, while Alojzy Addams shifted slightly back. Out on the wings, Holst shifted up while Avishai Demare shifted down. The result was a zig-zaging line that Kameron hoped could cover more of the field.

Not only did it do its intended job, but the shifted back line also started playing more dangerous distribution balls. After that change had been made, it was all over. Johnothan and Saveli played several dangerous through balls, and Alojzy and Avishai were on top of their defending. In the 42nd, after a long build up play from Saveli and Glenn, Maksymillian found the net again to push Saterun a bit further from danger. Kameron really didn't have to say much at halftime. He just reminded his players to keep their current shape and prayed that the tactical bet would continue to pay off. It did, with Avishai getting his first senior squad goal after a mazy run through several Zeldaxian players. Kameron was amazed at his left-back's scintillating play. He had always known that Avishai had an attacking side, but this was something else. By the 66th minute, it was 4-1.

But the Claws would just not let up. They put together several more dangerous plays between the fourth goal and the fifth, with most just missing the final product. They enjoyed complete domination over the other team, passing around them with ease and dictating the play. Finally, after 15 minutes of this, Hans-Jürgen Becker scored from just inside the box. It was turning into a route. The Zeldaxians did get one back in the 84th, but at this point it was merely consolation. And Kaka had one final trick up his sleeve. Maksymillian was brought down 25 yards out from the goal. And, thought Kaka, why not? They were ahead 5-2, and game was slowing down, it was time to have fun. And so he unleashed a worldie. Perfectly placed into the side netting to make it 6-2. At the end of the game, no one felt as if the win was undeserved. Kameron felt a twinge of compassion when seeing the Zeldaxian players learn that they were eliminated. But that was international sport. For now, he just had to focus on the positives from this game, and prepare for the penultimate next match against Stevencousin.

LA SQUADRA EMERGES VICTORIOUS AS REVODA SEA 9-GOAL THRILLER ENDS IN ITS FAVOR

La Squadra's dream nearly turned into a nightmare as the rivals from across the pond managed to equalise the 0-4 half-time lead

Revoda Sea matches are a breed of their own. They are usually action-packed affairs filled with many goals and the winner is never certain, which just showcases the strength of the two teams involved in it, Juvencus and Drawkland. For a long time, a match that the universe refused to give the teams the chance to enjoy to its fullest, now turned into an annual affair between Sonnel's most successful sporting nations on the big stage. This time was no different, from it being a 9-goal matchday, to the Drawkians nearly successfully reverse sweeping a 4-goal half-time advantadge, to Audiol saving the day with a last-minute winner. This bout was one for the ages and luckily, Margaret was on Juvencus' side this time.

Both teams had fielded their full-strength lineups from the get go, being the top two seeds of the group they both needed a victory. Juvencus to solidify a spot in the top 3 and to avenge the hiccup against Valentine Z, while Drawkland was looking to finish the job and punch an early ticket to the round of 16 of the Independents Cup. However, the game would unfold much differently than expected. Gli attaccanti entered the game with an air of confidence not seen by the team before, while the Corps had entered the game in a hesitant playstyle that was uncharacteristic of the team that's known as Sonnel's strongest. A hailstorm of opportunities was created and it was an one-sided affair for most of the first half, as Audiol would break the ice in the first 5 minutes of the match. While Pereyra would double up the goals on the 12th minute, as an elastico-turned nutmeg performed against Nicole Warren was followed by a gorgeous finesse shot that left Joetta Mullins glued to her place as the ball initially hit the crossbar, then was nailed into the net.

The dominance of gli attaccanti remained during the rest of the first half, as the Drawkian side was forced to crawl into itself due to la squadra's immense pressure. That is not to say Mullins was not having a good day. Several shots by Audiol, Pereyra and the rest of the team were saved by Mullins. There was only so much she could do however, as the backline's inadequacy couldn't stop an on-form Oliveira from scoring a wonderful goal from around 30 yards off. A dreamy half-time 0-4 was nailed after an Acquati corner kick was converted into a goal following a Carlos Coste header, the Couno Rangers defender would make the ball bounce off the ground and into the net. This would however come at the cost of a harsh landing, which would force him to be subbed off immediately following the celebrations, in his place would enter Stafylidi.

Half-time Juven chants turned into silence as Ellzidan decided to take matters into her own hands in the second half.

The game's pace would turn upside down during the second half as Drawkland's elf player-manager and also its co-founder, Ellzidan would enter the field. Ellzidan is a player who is much familiar with the style of play of Juven players and even their general thought process, owing to her several thousand years of exposure to Juven people from the start of history till now combined with the fact that she is one of the most experienced Drawkian players ever. Ellzidan alone would give a huge morale boost to the Corps and this became visible from the first minutes of the second half.

What was a walk in the park for the Juven side suddenly turned into the worst nightmare scenario as the Corps would play their own super-aggressive football that they could not manage to play in the first half. Ellzidan herself would score from near the half-way line to start a reverse-sweep that would come to haunt the Juven team following the game. Her leadership, turned the Drawkian team into a team of demons with the ball on their feet. Ellzidan would feed Riley Fields with a through-ball that Stafylidi would not be able to catch and Fields herself would score yet another goal for the Drawkian team. Now at 2-4, the advantadge of the Juven side seemed all but lost still at this point in the game, but it was clear that Ellzidan's will alone would carry her team forward.

The Juven team would come close to scoring a 5th goal at the 64th minute. An Oliveira-Pereyra series of successive passes from the right side would see the latter try to shoot from an uncompromising angle, only for his shot to be deflected by Mullins onto the left side of her bar and then kicked wide by Nicole Warren. That same kick would start a Drawkian counter-attack which would see Praxis Collinwood chipping the ball over Ungaro's head to make it 3-4. And now, the game seemed to be in danger. And danger it was as in the 81st minute, Ellzidan would send a cross forward to Shelby Rider and the latter would capitalise on the volley given to her to equalise. A 0-4 advantadge was given away and the Drawkians would erupt in celebrations unseen before even for such a side.

However, this was not meant to be, as Pereyra would be tackled by Nicole Warren just outside the box in the 89th minute. Audiol would be the one to take the subsequent free-kick and he would nail it on the top right side as Mullins' leap and small touch of the ball would not be enough. This goal would be enough to also cut the Drawkian advancement towards a 5th goal which seemed highly-likely with the way the match was being played. However, thanks to Audiol, danger would be averted and Juvencus is keeping its title defence chances active as next matchday is against Katten en Kittens van de Wereld, a side that has been eliminated from the competition.

Greetings, compatriots!
It’s TTV from Poafmersia. Our entire team, like the whole country, is in severe shock from the results of the national team playing here in the IAC, but we sincerely hope for the best. However, of course, times right now is really difficult: the last time our players performed so unsuccessfully in the group stage of this tournament was in its twelfth edition, seven years ago. Previously, the national team was eliminated from the CoH with an unprecedentedly bad result, and the club teams had a terrible season in ICFC tournaments. What is even more traumathic is that this results looks completely undeserved: both national and club teams put decent efforts, did what it could, but in the end invariably found themselves defeated, and right now we are one step before elimination from tournament where we considered one of the favorites. Having suffered a sensational and unexpected defeat – at least according to the multibillion army of football fans in our country – from Archalit, before the last round match with Oscioru our team is in a difficult position, even a draw cannot guarantee anything, and with some bad luck our players will leave home.

The head coach left the field with a face darker than a waters of Northwest Sea, and on the eve of the last game of the group stage he considered it necessary to resort to the services of three veterans of the national team, who had long since finished playing for it, including the legendary captain of the “golden team” Morten Troll. In fact, many people said all along that giving young people the opportunity to show themselves should not come at the expense of results - whoever is better should play, no matter how old he is. It is not very clear how useful the former captain will be to the team after a grueling season and tough run in international club tournaments, but perhaps the head coach is counting on the psychological impact of his presence. In the end, no one questions the skill of our football players, and if we throw out the usual insinuations about the machinations of envious people in such cases, the problem lies somewhere in the field of psychology. Let's see if Morten Troghil can find the right recipe ot fight it.

HUElavia 3–2 Cakranegara
(Musadi 29', Fatoni 56' | Rossi-Rigoni 15', Si 50', Aveiro 87')
Red Mudra Lane, Mudra, Poafmersia

Options, Options, Options...

HUElavia nearly clinches the knockouts, but there are options for them and all the other groups in finding out who will be the Last 16.

Another IAC match, another close victory. HUElavia and Cakranegara went into a see-saw battle that had plenty of goals and excitement, but much like the several games HUElavia had of similar nature, they come out on top with a late header from Aveiro to send Red Mudra Lane into a frenzy for the HUElavian supporters, while Aveiro was mobbed by his teammates for the game-winning goal. With the victory HUElavia maintains 1st Place, continuing their march in the tournament.

Entering Matchday 5, only hosts Poafmersia are the only team to officially qualify for the Round-of-16, while one could argue that HUElavia, Valentine Z, and Juvencus are virtually qualified with their points. Thus, here is the look as to what games are to watch for each match on Matchday 5:

Group A-
Matches of interest: Harry Islands vs HUElavia, Cakranegara vs Abanhfleft

# Group A Pld W D L GF GA GD Pts
1 HUElavia 4 4 0 0 11 5 +6 12 X
2 Cakranegara 4 3 0 1 9 5 +4 9 X
3 Harry Islands 4 3 0 1 8 3 +5 9 X

HUElavia have been strong in this group stage, being the highest-scoring team of the Group, as well as tied for 3rd highest scoring team of this tournament, up to now. Despite defeating their opponents up to now, Harry Islands is the last team Los Amarillos/Os Amarelos are yet to face, and Harry Islands comes in with options to pull an upset. HUElavia wins the group with a victory or draw, where a loss will complicate direct advance (assuming that HUElavia suffers a catastrophic beatdown). Cakranegara can win the group if they defeat already eliminated Abanhfleft and Harry Islands defeats HUElavia, considering that they can win on goal difference. They advance automatically if they win or draw, regardless of what happens in the other match. Harry Islands can win the Group if they beat HUElavia and Cakranegara does not defeat Abanhfleft, which also serves roughly the same scenario to advance automatically.

Group B-
Matches of Interest: Trolleborg vs Oscioru, Zeldaxa vs Archalit, Stevencousin vs Saterun

# Group B Pld W D L GF GA GD Pts
1 Stevencousin 4 2 2 0 9 6 +3 8
2 Trolleborg 4 2 1 1 6 2 +4 7
3 Saterun 4 2 1 1 11 6 +5 7
4 Oscioru 4 2 1 1 10 9 +1 7
5 Archalit 4 1 1 2 6 8 −2 4
6 Zeldaxa 4 0 0 4 2 13 −11 0 E

While Zeldaxa is eliminated, the entire group is still wide open in terms of who can advance. There are many permutations in terms of who can advance based on what result from one game and the other two. The main goal for each game is Win and you'll very likely advance (with the exception of Archalit, who may need help from the other two matches to possibly advance as a runner up or one of the best four 3rd placed teams).

Group C-
Matches of interest: Valentine Z vs Drawkland, Juvencus vs Katten en Kittens van de Wereld

Group C Pld W D L GF GA GD Pts
1 Valentine Z 4 3 1 0 11 5 +6 10 X
2 Juvencus 4 3 1 0 13 8 +5 10 X
3 Drawkland 4 3 0 1 13 8 +5 9 X

Group C does have three teams nearly advancing, but one of the matches will guarantee one team in a win-and-in match, the other may be to shake up the standings. Valentine Z wins the group with a victory AND Juvencus does not win by a large margin, OR Win AND Juvencus draws or losses their game. Juvencus wins their group with a victory AND Valentine Z does not win by a large margin, OR Win and Valentine Z draws or loses. Drawkland advances Wins Group C with a victory AND Juvencus does not win their match. A draw or loss complicates the team to advance as one of the best 3rd placed teams.

Group D-
Matches of Interest: Belnegau vs Quintessence of Dust, Ile de Richelieu vs Poafmersia, Xeola vs Liamot

# Group D Pld W D L GF GA GD Pts
1 Poafmersia 4 4 0 0 7 1 +6 12 Q
2 Belnegau 4 2 0 2 5 2 +3 6
3 Quintessence of Dust 4 2 0 2 7 8 −1 6
4 Ile de Richelieu 4 2 0 2 6 6 0 6
5 Liamot 4 1 0 3 5 9 −4 3 Z
Xeola 4 1 0 3 3 7 −4 3 Z

As mentioned by the official table, Liamot and Xeola cannot advance as Top 2, but if either team wins, they need help from either of the Belnegau or QoD teams with either winning AND Poafmersia winning to have a hope to advance as best 3rd placed teams. A draw by them will eliminate them automatically. Poafmersia has officially advanced to the Round-of-16, regardless of what happens with all the matches. Belnegau and QoD advance automatically with a victory one over the other, or a draw may help, assuming that Ile de Richelieu loses to Poafmersia. Ile de Richelieu could advance automatically if they win their match and Belnegau and QoD ends in a draw.

Group E-
Matches of Interest: Toluiwa vs Shinshiro and Yashio, Greater Kamilistan vs Delaclava, TJUN-ia vs Montaña Verde

# Group E Pld W D L GF GA GD Pts
1 Montaña Verde 4 3 0 1 10 7 +3 9 X
2 Toluiwa 4 3 0 1 7 3 +4 9 X
3 TJUN-ia 4 2 0 2 9 10 −1 6
4 Delaclava 4 1 1 2 6 7 −1 4 Z
5 Shinshiro and Yashio 4 1 1 2 6 9 −3 4 Z
6 Greater Kamilistan 4 1 0 3 7 9 −2 3 Z

Two of the teams are guaranteed Top 3, while three are in contention for possible advance as best 3rd Placed teams. Out of the three teams with options, Delaclava has the best odds, needing to win and hope that TJUN-ia does not win against Montaña Verde to claim possibly 3rd and possibly advance. Greater Kamilistan needs to win AND for both Shinshiry & Yashio and TJUN-ia to lose their matches, with the latter needing to lose by a large margin to possibly advance. Shinshiro and Yashio needs to win against Toluiwa AND for TJUN-ia to lose and Delaclava to not win their match. As for the Top 3 in the group, Montaña Verde wins the group with a victory or with a draw, assuming that Toluiwa draws or loses their match. Toluiwa's scenario is similar, to where they need to win AND for Montaña Verde to not win their match. TJUN-ia needs to win in order to have possibilities. A draw would complicate things, but still there is opportunity if things shake out their way.

Group F-
Matches of Interest: Sajnur vs Indusse, Sixty-ninE X vs Sudilia, Maraonia vs Adab

# Group F Pld W D L GF GA GD Pts
1 Indusse 4 2 1 1 10 7 +3 7
2 Sudilia 4 2 1 1 10 11 −1 7
3 Adab 4 1 2 1 10 10 0 5
Maraonia 4 1 2 1 6 6 0 5
5 Sixty-ninE X 4 1 1 2 8 9 −1 4
6 Sajnur 4 0 3 1 7 8 −1 3 Z

The most open group of the Group Stage so far, Sajnur needs to win by a large margin AND for Maraonia vs Adab to end in a draw in order to aspire to be among the best 3rd Placed teams. For all others, the openness of the group makes it to have too many permutations to be able to give a clear enough picture. In general, a victory may very well clinch a team into the knockouts, especially for the likes of Indusse and Sudilia.

If in the situation that all games end in a draw, Drawkland, Harry Islands, Saterun, and either TJUN-ia or Quintissence of Dust would be the four 3rd Placed teams advancing to the Round-of-16.

The next 6 days will be slate filled with dramatic matches that can shape up to be a very entertaining knockout stage, along with likely plenty of new faces in the knockouts, and many major teams going out early. Here's to the next set of matches!

Space Themed Cards: HMRC to another level

By Teekay Sharma

The Hind Metro Rail Corporation decided t introduce space themed cards as their transit card category hours ago. They even decided the names on how the cards would be known to the public here after. They've decided to name the cards as Aurora Pass, Quasar Pass and Infinity Pass which is ordered according to their respective features. The Rewards you get by using them changes according to the pass you purchase. The HMRC has instilled Credit based system with the transit card system.

Introducing the "Transit Rewards Credit System" (TRCS), a feature that can be generated from the Hind Transit Pass, offering commuters an innovative way to earn credits while traveling throughout the city. There are multiple ways as to how you could earn credits for the card and it's been categorised into four methods and they are:

Distance-Based Credits: Passholders earn credits based on the distance they travel using the Transit Pass. The longer the journey, the more credits they accumulate.

Off-Peak Bonuses: To incentivize travel during less congested hours, passengers receive bonus credits for using the system during off-peak times. This helps distribute the commuter load more evenly throughout the day.

Multi-Mode Transport Rewards: Passengers who use multiple modes of transportation in a single journey, such as combining the Water Metro, Inland Metro, and Bus Service, receive additional credits as an acknowledgment of their contribution to a more integrated transit network.

Eco-Friendly Commuting: Encouraging sustainable travel, the TRCS offers extra credits to passengers who use public transportation on designated "Green Transit Days," promoting a reduction in carbon emissions.

What are Green Transit Days?
Green Transit Days are designated days within the system's schedule that promote and encourage eco-friendly and sustainable modes of transportation. These days are organized by the Hind Metro Rail Corporation with the help of the state government as to raise awareness about environmental conservation and reduce the carbon footprint associated with commuting. This day typically involves a few events which are:

Promotion of Public Transportation: On Green Transit Days, focus is put on promoting the use of public transportation, such as buses, metro, water metro, and HMRC Green Autos or Electric Bikes. Passengers are encouraged to leave their cars and private vehichles at home and use these eco-friendly alternatives for their daily commute.

Reduced Fares or Incentives: To incentivize people to choose public transit, HMRC offer reduced fares or special discounts on Green Transit Days. This makes it more cost-effective for individuals and families to use public transportation.

Free or Discounted Bike Rentals: HMRC provide heavily discounted bike rentals on Green Transit Days to promote cycling as a sustainable mode of transportation. This encourages people to combine biking with public transit for a greener commute. HMRC works with "Symbiont", a famous cycle and electric bike brand in Indusse to get bikes for rental purposes in the system.

No Private Vehicles Zones: In certain areas, streets may be temporarily closed to private vehicles on Green Transit Days, creating private vehicle zones where pedestrians and cyclists can move freely and safely. Public Transportation would be heavily extended to these areas so that the commute through these areas are not interrupted.

Environmental Education: Transit authorities often use Green Transit Days as an opportunity to educate the public about the environmental benefits of using public transportation. They may distribute informative pamphlets or host events like Skits, Screening of Short Films at transit stations to raise awareness about reducing air pollution and conserving energy. Green Transit Days may also involve community events, such as tree plantings, clean-up initiatives, or eco-friendly fairs, to engage the local community and foster a sense of environmental responsibility.

Promotion of Carpooling and Ride-Sharing: Carpooling and ride-sharing initiatives are encouraged on Green Transit Days to reduce the number of individual cars on the road and promote more efficient transportation. Eventhough these are done through Private Taxis, Government of Indusse introduced its own Public sector "Private Taxi" system known as "HyDrive" which plays a major role in this part of Green Transit Days. Only Electric and CNG Cars run on these days but on the rest of days, HyDrive functions as normal.

Moralistic Democracy

Postby Drawkland » Sun Sep 17, 2023 9:12 pm

The situation at halftime was dire. Down 0-4, scratching their heads at the brilliance of Ceferino Audiol and crew, the Kick Corps was not in a good spot. To say nothing of the fact that a loss would put them in a bad spot for the playoff race, losing by four goals to your main regional rival could be catastrophic from a trash-talking perspective for years to come.

Drawkland's national team trudged into the locker room. They didn't walk, it was a sadder, more plodding stride that showed the morale was at an all-time low. The Corps had come close to qualification but fallen just short, but that wasn't expected for their first cycle. Though they were a little sad about the end result, they were happy to have had such a successful comeback season in general. In this game, though, it was clear that this was the first real clunker of the new Kick Corps tenure.

Ellzidan, however, was not trudging. After going through a dozen lifetimes of soccer, she was no longer fazed by a mild blowout at the halfway point. Sure, the Corps had work to do, but the hill was not impossible to climb. As the team wandered into their positions in the locker room underneath the Camp of Power, Ellzidan had a moment to herself in the tunnel. Her squad needed a moment to defuse, but she couldn't let them stew in pity for too long. An idea popped into her mind, and she considered it thoughtfully.

Though Ellzidan was a player-manager, she hadn't yet played a match in the tenure of the new Corps. She figured she'd let the mortal players get as much glory as they deserved. At some point, though, you have to justify spending the roster spot on yourself. To have a chance at pulling off a comeback against Juvencus in a game like this, the team needed a jolt. This could be the jolt. This was the exact justification she was looking for. The Drawkionel handed a quick note to her assistant coaches as she entered the locker room. They knew what was coming.

"This game is NOT OVER." Ellzidan proclaimed loudly, coming into the central area of the locker room where the team was assembled. "I don't want to hear a single word out of any of your mouths about a loss tonight. They think we're on the ropes. They think you're ready to lay down and die. Are you?!"

Nobody spoke a word. Ellzidan's voice was loud, forceful, and commanding, but she didn't seem angry somehow. She stared down the room with an intensity few on the team had seen before. In the back of the room, Nicole Warren, Sarah Arrowsword, and Cam Cross nodded sagely. They knew what was coming.

"If you're going to die, you make them use every drop of blood, sweat, and tears to do it. This is Drawkland, for river's sake. We don't die on our knees, but on our feet. Leave them with a scar they will never forget." As Ellzidan said this, she started undressing. She unzipped her light jacket and threw it aside. She slipped her athletic slacks off in one swift motion. Underneath was her pristine Kick Corps uniform, in all its ediraf glory. Several of the players in the room gasped softly when they realized what that meant.

"As your general, I shall lead the charge." Ellzidan looked at the players in turn as she addressed them. "Gordon, you're off. It must be done. Bright, I may sub you off around 75 if you're falling behind. We have to be perfect on defense to pull this off. Mullins, you're in. This is your mess, it is your duty to redeem yourself."

"Yes ma'am," each of those three players said in response.

"Corps!" Ellzidan stood straight, hands on her hips, chin raised defiantly. "Tonight is not the end of this journey. Win or lose, rejoice in fighting another day. Yet we cannot allow this performance to haunt us. We must all redeem ourselves, on our honor as representatives of this great nation. Tonight, we fight! ON CORPS!"

"ON CORPS!" The rest of the team shouted in response. As Ellzidan had continued to speak, each player stood up, until the entire squad was on its feet. A couple minutes later, the Kick Corps charged out of the tunnel with a renewed energy.

Perhaps it was complacency, perhaps it was being put off by the opponent's newfound confidence, perhaps the Corps was simply putting it together better. Either way, La Squadra of Juvencus was caught on its heels coming out of the half. Drawkland got the ball to begin the half, and with the Elf now at the helm, it was truly a new ballgame. In the opening minutes, as the Corps passed the ball around and regained their bearings, Ellzidan flipped the momentum almost singlehandedly. From the middle of the center circle, she casually received a pass, moving slightly to get a little separation from Giuseppe Conte, and suddenly unleashed a huge kick. The ball arced, twisted, and tailed in the air, eliciting a chorus of awe from the crowd. The Juven defense realized what was happened too late. The ball had a perfect path, spinning right past the outstretched arms of Juan Carlos Ungaro and into the corner of the goal. Camp of Power erupted in shocked cheers. The highlight boot made the score 1-4, and the winds seemed to change.

Over the next 40 minutes, the Kick Corps clawed back, tooth and nail. Gli attacanti tried their hardest to break the momentum, but they couldn't. Riley Fields buried a through ball from Ellzidan to make the score 2-4. Praxis Collingwood took advantage of a sudden reversal and counterattack, shooting one over the head of Ungaro ... 3-4. As time waned in the 81st minute, Ellzidan got a crosser to Shelby Rider, who promptly tied the game 4-4. It seemed like the Corps had done it, they had somehow come all the way back from death, and now had just enough time to play spoiler.

Or so they thought. The magic ran out at the very end, with a bad tackle from Nicole Warren in the 89th proved to be the killing blow. Audiol scored his second of the game on the free kick to bring the score to 4-5, and not enough time for the Corps to reequalize.

So the Corps went back to the locker rooms in dampened spirits, but they carried Ellzidan's words in their hearts. They may not have won the battle, but they sure scared the shit out of every Juven in attendance. After all, they were the underdogs by rank. What else are rivalry games for?

OptaPoaf explains: The hybrid seeding system for Playoffs
Fiskadaha - As we head into the final matchday, we will head into the playoffs, where 16 teams will meet together to battle for the IAC title. This time round, given that we have 6 groups of 6 teams each, the hybrid seeding system will be used instead. This is a supposed statistical variation of the more traditional seeding methods to the playoffs, allowing for teams to avoid group-stage rematches as far as possible, while taking into account the team's performance as compared to other teams of the same ranking. The method was first proposed by Qusmo, while they were bidding for the Copa Rushmori XXXII. The Copa Rushmori was a first of its own - while there were some eyebrows raised as to the complicated level of this format, others saw it as something unique and attempting to overcome the issues created by group-based splits and issues arising from seeding by pure ranks. In fact, in Rushmore (the region), they liked it so much that they agreed to use it again 6 years later, this time at CR35.

Let us talk about what is the traditional seed-by-group format. The seed-by-group format will likely pre-allocate 4 of the 6 groups to play against third-placed teams. More complicated ones will adjust that based on which 4 third-placed teams qualify, and will pre-compute some sort of a table for such calculations. The issue is obvious - basically, from the start, certain groups stand to benefit from this allocation over other groups. If you put the same 6 teams in Group A versus in Group D, the seeding might be very very different. There is no symmetry whatsoever. In Group A, getting this result might reward you a third-placed team. In another group, the exact same result might net you a slug against a strong second-placed team. This is the craziness of this format. Like all seed-by-group formats, there may very well be a "path of death" since 2 groups are likely paired against each other for the first 1-2 rounds. So grouping matters a lot.

On the other hand, the rank-by-group format. Many see it as the other exreme of things. Get a good performane in the group, and you guarentee the "weakest" team. Or not. If a group is generally harder, the points get lower and closer to each other, and this might not exactly reflect a team's true "position" by seeding. Basically, there is no moderation by group difficulty. And then of course, you have the issue of group stage rematches. Sure, you can forcefully adjust the seeding, but in which direction? And also group stage rematches will probably come earlier than expected.

So what is this new format? Basically, an attempt to bring the best of both sides. Do things by seeding so that dominant teams get rewarded, but also make sure that group stage rematches continue to be avoided. And on the other hand, don't fully use the seeding, so the exact seed does not make too much of a difference as compared to the seeding system. We will talk about how the draw is done.

We first seed the 6 group winners as per a normal rank-based seeding bracket. This means that the top 2 group winners will be separated and have no other group winners in their quarter, and then 1st, 4th and 5th seeds on one half, while 2nd, 3rd and 6th seeds on the other half. We then look at which groups are represented on the left side, and then which groups are represented on the right side, and rank the runners-up accordingly. The runners-up of each group are not placed on the side half as their partner. The worst-performing group runner-up of each half will play the worst-performing group winner of the other half, and the other two runner-ups play each other. Well, usually this is the case, but we will talk about it later.

Among the third-placed teams, each quarter will now have one team each. Each third-placed team will be assigned to a quarter which has no tteam coming from that group. If there are multiple options, we will always keep the one where the opponent of the top-ranked group champion is the lowest possible third-placed team. If there is a tie, we then look at the one where the opponent of the second-ranked group champion is the second lowest possible third-placed team.

Sounds simple? Now, the confusion comes when we hit the cases where we are unable to allocate teams by the previous paragraph. We then take a step back to the point where we force the lowest-ranked runners-up to play the lowest-ranked group-winner of the opposite side. We will swap the allocation for the 6th ranked group-winner (overall), to play aaginst the 2nd-ranked runners-up of the other side.

We go back to our national team. As of writing, Poafmersia will likely be a high-ranked group winner, and without surprise should be one of the top 2 seeds. As such, we will get a third-placed team as our opponent, and likely see 2 other runners-up play in the other half of our quarter.

_# First-placed Teams Pld W D L GF GA GD Pts
A1 HUElavia 5 5 0 0 14 5 +9 15 Top-half
C1 Juvencus 5 4 1 0 17 10 +7 13 Bottom-half
E1 Montaña Verde 5 4 0 1 13 8 +5 12 Bottom-half

D1 Poafmersia 5 4 0 1 7 3 +4 12 Top-half
B1 Stevencousin 5 3 2 0 11 6 +5 11 Top-half

F1 Indusse 5 3 1 1 15 8 +7 10 Bottom-half

The first 6 teams are seeded normally per a 16-team bracket.

_# Top-half Runners-up Teams Pld W D L GF GA GD Pts
A2 Cakranegara 5 4 0 1 10 5 +5 12
B2 Trolleborg 5 3 1 1 8 2 +6 10
D2 Belnegau 5 3 0 2 9 3 +6 9

The runners-up from the top-half groups, namely Groups A, B and D, are ranked as per above. They will be placed in the bottom-half, with worst-performing Belnegau playing worst-performing champion of that half, Indusse.

_# Bottom-half Runners-up Teams Pld W D L GF GA GD Pts
C2 Valentine Z 5 4 1 0 16 9 +7 13
E2 Toluiwa 5 4 0 1 10 3 +7 12
F2 Adab 5 2 2 1 14 11 +3 8

The runners-up from the bottom-half groups, namely Groups C, E and F, are ranked as per above. They will be placed in the top-half, with worst-performing Adab playing worst-performing champion of that half, Stevencousin.

At this point we do a review of the four quarters.
Quarter 1: HUElavia (A1) vs ?, Valentine Z (C2) vs Toluiwa (E2) - Missing B/D/F
Quarter 2: Poafmersia (D1) vs ?, Stevencousin (B1) vs Adab (F2) - Missing A/C/E
Quarter 3: Juvencus (C1) vs ?, Cakranegara (A2) vs Trolleborg (B2) - Missing D/E/F
Quarter 4: Montaña Verde (E1) vs ?, Indusse (F1) vs Belnegau (D2) - Missing A/B/C

## Third-placed Teams Pld W D L GF GA GD Pts
C3 Drawkland 5 3 0 2 17 13 +4 9
A3 Harry Islands 5 3 0 2 8 6 +2 9*
D3 Ile de Richelieu 5 3 0 2 8 6 +2 9*
B3 Saterun 5 2 1 2 11 8 +3 7

*IC Coinflip (Scored using Roster & RP Bonus only): Harry Islands 5–4 Ile de Richelieu

Quarter 3 only can accept Ile de Richelieu, so they are slotted against Juvencus. Therefore Quarter 1 is only left with Group B's Saterun, and therefore they are slotted against HUElavia. Since both Harry Islands and Drawkland can be taken by the second and fourth quarters, therefore the better-performing group champions, Montaña Verde, will take the worse performing group third-placed team, Harry Islands. And then Poafmersia will take Drawkland. Therefore the bracket is as per that listed here (open for predicitions as well!

The matches are also listed below with the locations:

HUElavia vs Saterun @ Totalaha Stadium, Takarti, Tikhas (cap. 49,000)
Valentine Z vs Toluiwa @ Naksa Stadium, Naksa, Trimidau Island, Piskn (cap. 41,000)

Poafmersia vs Drawkland @ United Park, Greater Mancodas, Cochas (cap. 61,000)
Stevencousin vs Adab @ Bikarish Stadium, Bikarish, Nitrishi-pai (cap. 48,000)

Juvencus vs Ile de Richelieu @ Red Mudra Lane, Mudra, Hitimatias (cap. 58,000)
Cakranegara vs Trolleborg @ Dalaris State Stadium, City of Dalaris, Dalaris (cap. 46,500)

Montaña Verde vs Harry Islands @ Offsdi Stadium, Kingsford, Piskn (cap. 55,500)
Indusse vs Belnegau @ Stadia Cochin, Cochin, Bikasta (cap. 49,000)

Edit 1 (0816 UTC, 18th Sept 2023): There was a massive typo in assuming Drawkland to come from Group D, not Group C, resulting in an error in seeding. This has since been corrected.

20': "Aveiro on the ball, he wants to get a goal once more, he's being covered by Kemp... He's nutmegged Kemp, he's running all alone! One-on-one with Santos... Takes the shot!!! Ahhhh and it's narrowly wide... What a play there to nutmeg Kemp, very talented play there dedspite his age, he has some energy left in the tank."

42': "Thanks to a foul by Valdovinos, Harry Islands has a dangerous chance here with this free kick. Santos looks to take the shot here. He runs up... It hits the bar! But it's out for a goal kick! Uuf, what a shot there! Over the wall and even Mok did not expect it to get past the wall, but it hits the upright and bounces up and out for a goal kick. Uuf, dangerous shot there!"

A nice cross into the box, Hwangbo wins the header over O'Brien and sends the ball past Santos into the goal, what a nice connection between the Jeong-HUElavian players. What a fantastic display from HUElavia tonight!"

End: "And that's it! HUElavia wins the match 0-3, and sweeps Group A with a perfect 5-0-0 record, with 15 Points to boot! Harry Islands finishes in 3rd as we have word that Cakranegara defeated Aquatian 1-0, meaning HUElavia and Cakranegara qualify automatically to the Last 16. Harry Islands will have to wait to see how the other groups shake out, but odds are, they may be continuing in the IAC. We'll see you next week for HUElavia's Round-of-16 match!"

Revolutionizing Transportation Security: Federal Transport Police Set to Absorb Harbor, Railway, and Airport Units for Unprecedented Efficiency

The decision to expand the Federal Transport Police to absorb the Harbor Police, Railway Police, and Airport Police is a strategic move aimed at enhancing law enforcement and security in the transportation sector. By consolidating these specialized units under one umbrella organization, the government aims to streamline operations, improve coordination, and ensure more efficient allocation of resources. The Harbor Police, Railway Police, and Airport Police currently have separate jurisdictions and responsibilities within their respective areas of operation. However, merging them into the Federal Transport Police will enable better integration of their efforts, knowledge, and expertise. This consolidation will create a more comprehensive and cohesive law enforcement agency that can effectively address the unique challenges and risks associated with transportation security.

The Federal Transport Police which fall under the Ministry of Transport and Maritime jurisdiction, as an expanded entity, will have a broader mandate that spans across all modes of transportation, including maritime, rail, and aviation. This will enable them to provide a more seamless approach to security, ensuring consistent standards and procedures are implemented throughout the various transport sectors.

Additionally, the expansion of the Federal Transport Police will likely result in increased manpower and resources being allocated to the transportation security sector. With a larger and more specialized force, the agency will be better equipped to respond to security threats, enforce regulations, and safeguard the integrity and safety of the nation's transportation infrastructure. It is important to note that this expansion will require careful planning, coordination, and training to ensure a smooth transition and the effective integration of personnel and resources. The government will need to develop comprehensive strategies, establish clear lines of communication, and collaboration, and allocate resources effectively to address the complex challenges facing our society. One key aspect of these strategies should be the development of clear goals and objectives that outline the desired outcomes and milestones to be achieved.

TITLE DEFENCE HOPES STAY STRONG AS GLI ATTACCANTI SCORE 4 PAST THE WHISKERS

Exciting matchday sees la squadra secure yet another victory on its way to defend their Independents Cup champion status

The last matchday of the group stages of the Independents Cup was a crucial one for la squadra. While qualification to the round of 16 was pretty much certain even in worst case scenario, the team needed that victory to -preferably- clinch top of the group. Katten en Kittens van de Wereld on the other hand were eliminated and they were looking to go out leaving an impression. That was especially obvious in the first half as the teams exchanged 4 goals in extravagant fashion but as the second half unfolded, the class of la squadra shone bright to take the win.

Nobody was ready for the way the first half unfolded, both teams entered the game desperate to score goals. It was especially odd of the Whiskers, since they are a more defensive team. Both teams exchanged shots on target within the first 10 minutes of the game, it was gli attaccanti who would break the ice. Sara Ponce would notice a misplacement of the Whiskers' goalkeeper, Grey and would shoot a cannonball from very close to the middle of the pitch. The ball would take an odd trajectory, which would not be stopped by Grey, despite his best attempts to catch it. Celebrations would not last for long, as a beautiful run by Holly and subsequent through-ball would find Ella scoring an easy tap it to equalise.

The aggressive gameplay would not subside despite the early goals. Joao Peres who was be playing his first matchday for gli attaccanti, would make a run from the left, dribbling through Aree and Joaozinho in quick succession. Then, cutting in, he would find the smallest gap between the rest of the defending Whiskers and pass it to Bevilacqua with the latter nailing the ball on the top left side of Grey. Again, this would not really phase Katten en Kittens van de Wereld, as they would make sure to shut mouths again at the conclusion of the second half. This time, a long range shot by Norsk would be enough to make it even once again, despite Imeri's best efforts. Gli attaccanti would get close to making it 3-2, but Urruchi's shot would be stopped by the crossbar.

In a showcase of wholesomeness, several Juven fans started petting some of the feline fans from Katten en Kittens van de Wereld. It was an adorable moment to keep spirits high for both sides.

The second half did not deliver the same action that the first half had as it developed to be an one-sided affair. A high-pressure line by gli attaccanti alongside the typical possession-based gameplay would act as a demoraliser for the Whiskers. While no effort of worth was made in the first 15 minutes of the second half, the entries of Oliveira in the place of Alfonso and Campana in the place of Urruchi would completely change the tempo of the game. As soon as both men entered the pitch, they seemed to have great combinations and would get really close to scoring in the 75th minute, as Oliveira would kite through the left side of the Whiskers and with a swift cross would find Campana to take advantadge of the volley which would however hit the left bar and then head wide.

High tempo from the right side would be maintained as Oliveira would be having a field day in conjunction to Tatiana Vicario. The two wingers would exchange passes to one another rapidly and it would lead to Oliveira delivering yet another cross. This time, however, Campana would not miss his opportunity as he would score a magnificent screamer to make it 3-2 in favor of gli attaccanti. This same energy persisted throught the remainder of the game, with a similar goal being scored in the 88th minute, again with an Oliveira cross. Only this time it would be Campana's head pushing the ball in to make it 4-2 and sealing the game and the qualification to the knockout stages of the Independents Cup.

With this victory, the top spot of the group was secured due to a coinflip, as both Juvencus and Valentine Z had scored identical points, goals difference and had drawn against each other in their bout on matchday 2. Following the draw for the round of 16, Juvencus was drawn against familiar foes Île de Richelieu which la squadra had barely scraped through with a 2-1 scoreline on their last meetup on the winning run of Independents Cup 18.

Credits : The Newest Attraction

By Teekay Sharma

The Transit Reward Credit System (TRCS) by HMRC which has been integrated to their Transit Passes have slowly started to take over the news. The Green Transit Days and other ways by which one could generate credits for the TRCS were explained in the last edition of the publication. You were able to generate credits through commuting through out the metropolitan transport system. How do you redeem these credits for your future use? Let's take a look at the ways you could do that.

Free Rides: Passengers can redeem accumulated credits to enjoy free rides on any of the transit systems covered by the Transit Pass. A specific number of credits equals a free journey, depending on the distance traveled.

Discounted Services: In addition to free rides, passholders can use their credits to access discounted services such as bike rentals, park-and-ride facilities, or even discounts at partner businesses located near transit stations.

Charitable Donations: Passengers who wish to contribute to a good cause can opt to convert their credits into donations for community projects or environmental initiatives supported by the transit authority.

Vouchers and Coupons: Passengers can generate their favourite shopping coupons through the credits available since the credits at end could be converted in to real time currency.

Retail Partnerships: Transit authorities can partner with local businesses to offer discounts or rewards to Transit Card holders when they shop, dine, or use services within the vicinity of transit stations.

Tourist Attractions: In the State of Hind which is home to various tourist attractions, Transit Cards can provide discounts or free admission to museums, galleries, parks, or other points of interest to enhance the overall travel experience.

Emergency Services: Transit Cards can include a feature that allows passengers to quickly contact emergency services or request assistance in case of accidents or emergencies during their transit journey.

Environmental Initiatives: Transit Cards can be linked to environmental programs, allowing passengers to donate their rewards or credits to support local environmental projects or carbon offset initiatives

All these methods helps you to redeem your credits in useful ways for both yourself and the Hind Metro Rail Corporation. Another attraction of this system is the methods they offer for the management of the credits. Take a look at how you could manage the credits you have:

Mobile App Integration: Passholders can easily track their earned credits and redeem them through a dedicated mobile app associated with the Transit Pass. This app is yet to be released and is going to be a major breakthrough to this project. This app also provides real-time transit information and personalized suggestions for maximizing credit accumulation.

Credit Expiry and Transparency: The TRCS maintains a transparent credit system, where passengers are informed about credit expiry dates and conditions for earning and redeeming credits. This ensures fairness and accountability. So don't think of accumulating a ton of credits, you'll have to redeem each on of them on the way before it expires to have some use of it.

Greetings, compatriots!
It's TTV from 19th edition of IAC. Fortunately, our team, within the framework of this tournament, was able to prevent a catastrophe that was clearly visible on the horizon just a couple of days ago. After rather unconvincing – many on social networks even called them outright failure, although in our opinion this is too far fetched – game of the team in clashes with Stevencousin and Archalit, our players found themselves one step away from being eliminated from the tournament. There have already been several sensations at this IAC, and, looking at our team, decisive and skillful, but seemingly confused and not really understanding what to do, as if they had been send to play softball, it was impossible to get rid of the feeling that our team may well “delight” the world of football with one more sensation. Although many expected this, our head coach did not allow any of the three veterans called into the team to play on the field, apparently deciding to give an opportunity to prove themselves to those who had been called up to the national team’s banner in the last couple of years. In general, we can say that the team showed itself with dignity, this time all the players looked properly concentrated, and there was no sign of nervousness.

Oscioru at this tournament showed themselves to be a team skillful in attack but reckless in defense, approaching the final game with 10 goals scored and 9 missed, and they had a reason to play with full dedication - a victory would take them to the playoffs, and even a draw would allow them to count on this. Fortunately, our players were able to extinguish the attacking impulse of opponents. It must be admitted that the only thing they are doing well, and, most importantly, systematically, in the last two years, is fighting against teams that tend towards sharp-attacking football, without being rough and drying up the game.

The young guys from Oscioru's attacking line caused a few unpleasant moments for Trolleborg football fans in the first minutes, but, fortunately, their impulse did not result in anything serious. On the other half of the field, our players soon began to burden defensive trio Vale - Bernard - Antunez with work, and it quickly became clear that without additional support they are in trouble, and the support of Oscioru's attack-oriented central midfielders could only be provided to a limited extent. After a quarter of an hour, Kollimor made a run along right sideline and seemed to miss the best opportunity to develop an attack by running too far towards the corner flag. However, as it turned out, he simply focused the attention of his opponents on himself and was waiting for the moment to resort to another option: an accurate back diagonal pass followed. Skrta appeared right where the ball arrived, in the complete absence of opponents around, who were focused on neutralizing our forwards, who were creating a flurry of activity in the penalty area, and shot accurately and clearly. The shot was excellent, no one would dare reproach Joel Franco for failing to parry it.

In the second half, our players once again showed that the recent failures are not a consequence of a lack of skill. Again Kollimor took advantage of the opportunity, making an accurate pass into the center of the penalty area at exactly the right moment. Giovanni Bernard, in our opinion, slightly lacked the experience to calculate the full picture, lost himself, missed chance to intercept ball by few inches and there Kendall Kerl, playing on the verge of offside, made a shot with one touch. Joel Franco in such circumstances not had the split of second he needed to parry such a ball.

Well, 2:0, and our lads make it to the playoffs. We will see what awaits the team there today, but, of course, we hope that they will be able to support the revived spirit of domestic football fans.
