RaiderCon is an annual event held in the summer that celebrates the past, present, and future of raiding on NationStates. This convention first took place in 2015 to commemorate the 10 year anniversary of The Black Hawks, and now coincides with The Raiding Hall of Fame. Players across NationStates come together to engage in discussions, games, and of course, raiding. RaiderCon has daily programs that examine raiding from various angles and it is a fun time! If you are interested in checking out the content from years past, they can all be found in these dispatches.

The discord server will be opened shortly. Please note that RaiderCon is an event intended to examine raiding and celebrate various aspects of it. The Coordinators have the authority to not mask someone or remove someone that is unverifiable, showcases they will not adhere to that mission, or engages in behavior in the server that negatively affects others.

RAIDERCON 2023: A NEW FRONTIER

Hosted by the 6 raider organisations this year, Raidercon was originally created in 2015 to celebrate TBH's 10th anniversary on 2nd July. As we enter our 8th year of raidercon, we aim to raise a party that all of you will enjoy while taking a closer look at raiding and its culture in NS.

Raidercon will officially start on the 8th - 16th of july and we have a whole host of events planned out for the whole week. From flag contests, to evil update events, there's something for everyone. Do check out our event schedule below!

The highlight of 2023 in the R/D sphere was the release of the new Frontier/Stronghold mechanic on 18th April, and that has provided a slew of changes that can be seen and felt in how we play this game.

We have invited several prominent names in raiderdom to share their thoughts in lectures and panels on frontiers. Keep your eyes peeled for the lecture schedule to be posted!

Some things remain the same, but many others have changed.
Update will arrive at the next region. But what about your endorsements? What about you?

BB was getting antsy. She had just woken up from her nap, and was filled with a restless energy. Her friends had called her up earlier and asked her if she wanted to go for a bike ride and, for some unbeknownst reason, she had agreed...despite not actually owning a bicycle D:

As it turned out, that wasn't a problem! Nota and Ben showed up with a massive tandem bicycle that they expected everyone to ride together!
BB was very confused by this. How were they to steer such a massive thing?

As it turned out, steering was not a problem! All of their friends lived in a straight line, and they had no destination in mind other than forward. After picking up everyone, Alex explained that the tandem bicycle was a deliberate choice. More people pedaling meant more power and more speed! Jyezet informed her that their goal was not to take a leisurely ride through the park. No no...they were going to break The speed of Sound!

The bicycle stopped at the top of a large hill. Koth, Musa, and Destiny were ready, their eyes glowed with a lust for speed. Nova and Agustin looked nervous...they had never gone that fast before, and were scared that they might get hurt!

The only one who looked calm was Porcupine. They seemed at ease with what they were about to do, as if they were already an experienced speedster...which is more than BB could say, as she was busy freaking out.

Nota and Alex started to pedal, and the bike creeped forward, slowly at first, then faster and faster as the gang picked up speed. "PEDALLL!!!" screamed Destiny, whose need for speed had driven her into a frenzy. BB's heart pounded in her chest, as her legs pumped furiously to keep up

Faster and Faster the bike speed, the friends pumping their burning legs as fast as they could. Finally, they reached the bottom of the hill, and Ben checked the speedometer...

Mach 1. This was it. They had broken the speed of sound, and were now traveling faster than any bicyclists had before. Their surroundings turned into a blur as they teared down the roadway...and BB didn't notice that they had passed a cop, until she saw the flashing lights behind them. Quickly, and safely, the group decelerated the bike, and pulled over to the side of the road.

"Excuse me, do any of y'all know how fast you were going?" Asked the cop, who was clearly unamused.

"Hell yeah we do! We just broke the speed of sound!" beamed Alex, as they tried to give the cop a high-five.

"The speed of sound, eh?" said the cop, "That's about 742 mph above the speed limit here"

He scribbled something on his note pad, and handed BB a large speeding ticket.

Unfortunately, their legs got tired, so they never quite got to the speed of sound….although they did acquire a rather hefty speeding ticket. (hey, you win some you lose some)
