From Haji Esmail Ibrahim Desk
It has been a thrilling season in the Anjung Batu Football League, and we have witnessed some impressive performances from the teams. Anjung Batu Police FC has truly dominated this season, clinching the championship with an outstanding record of 13 wins, 3 draws, and only 2 losses. Their solid defense, having conceded just 9 goals, played a significant role in their success. Congratulations to Anjung Batu Police FC for their well-deserved title! Sungai Sepat Sportiva FC also had a commendable season, finishing in second place with 32 points. Their attacking prowess was on display with 30 goals scored, showcasing their ability to find the back of the net consistently. Kayangan FC and Anjung Hilir Athletic FC had a close battle for third place, with both teams finishing on 25 points. It was a tough competition, but Kayangan FC secured the higher position due to a better goal difference.

Kolompo FC and Anjung Motor FC finished closely behind, both accumulating 23 points. The competition was tight in the middle of the table, with these teams showcasing their skills and resilience. Kuala Sauh City FC, Anjung Petro FC, Pejabat President FC, and Armed Force FC had their fair share of struggles this season. However, they fought hard and gave their best on the field. Sadly, Armed Force FC will face relegation to a lower division, as they finished in the 10th position with 17 points. It's always disappointing to see a team drop down, but I'm confident they will bounce back stronger in the future.

In the depths of the Anjung Batu Football League, a season of intrigue and suspense has unfolded, brimming with tumultuous battles and feats of astonishing skill. It is with great admiration and appreciation that we extend our heartfelt congratulations to the valiant teams who have exhibited unwavering determination and demonstrated their mettle on the field. As the curtain falls on this captivating chapter, we eagerly anticipate the arrival of future seasons, where we shall bear witness to the inexorable evolution of these talented sides, as they continue to leave their indelible mark upon the beautiful game.

Club Review
In the gritty and unforgiving world of Anjung Batu Police FC, Season 5 was a testament to their indomitable spirit and unwavering determination. Emerging victorious as league champions for the second consecutive year, the Cop's dominance on the field was no mere stroke of luck. Under the astute guidance of Chief Coach Agus Gusti, revered by the fans as the "Magician," they orchestrated a symphony of tactical brilliance that left their opponents in awe. At the heart of their success stood the dynamic duo of playmaker Remont Thomas and goal machine Geoffroy Toussaint, whose contributions were nothing short of priceless for the club. Yet, their triumph was not solely dependent on the prowess of their outfield players; the import goalkeeper, Anthonye Engleford, with his lightning-quick reflexes and agile maneuvers, proved to be a crucial asset between the posts. And let us not forget the impregnable wall of defense led by the indomitable Haqem Rusli, a force to be reckoned with, as they succumbed to a mere two defeats and conceded a paltry nine goals throughout the season. Anjung Batu Police FC, a force to be feared and respected, had etched its name in the annals of football history.

The Central Police Stadium, named after its significance as the dedicated stadium of the Police Forces, is a prominent sports venue. Established in 2003, the stadium boasts a capacity of 10,000 spectators. Located in the heart of Anjung Hilir, it enjoys a prime position just a short stroll away from the city center. Public transportation is readily available, with the Anjung Peninjau train station conveniently nearby, ensuring easy access for attendees. The stadium is also surrounded by a range of hotels and restaurants, providing convenient options for visitors. As a modern facility, the stadium offers an exceptional experience for both fans and players. The pitch is meticulously maintained, ensuring optimal playing conditions, while the stands provide excellent views of the thrilling action on the field. In 2013, the stadium underwent renovations to enhance visitor amenities, including the addition of more toilets and an expanded parking lot. This commitment to continuous improvement ensures that the Central Police Stadium remains a top-notch venue for sporting events.

Agus Gusti's Anjung Batu Police FC Mastering the Art of Pressing Trap and Counter-Pressing: A Tactical Analysis

by Colonel Rafeed Khan
Ladies and gentlemen, it is a pleasure to be here once again, providing my insights and analysis on the beautiful game. Today, I want to discuss two tactical concepts that have been making waves in modern football: the pressing trap and counter-pressing. These strategies have become increasingly popular and are being employed by teams all around the globe. Let's start with the pressing trap. This approach involves a team pressuring their opponents relentlessly, aiming to force them into making mistakes. By applying intense pressure on the ball carrier, the team seeks to disrupt the opposition's passing lanes and provoke errors. The pressing trap can be an effective way to win back possession high up the pitch, leading to scoring opportunities. However, it is not without its risks. If the opposing team can bypass the pressing trap, they may find themselves with acres of space to exploit on the counter-attack. On the other hand, we have counter-pressing, a strategy that focuses on immediately pressing the opposition after losing possession. This tactic is particularly useful for teams that favor possession-based football. When these teams lose the ball in the attacking third, counter-pressing allows them to quickly regain possession and launch a swift counter-attack. It's a calculated gamble that requires the entire team to react quickly and apply intense pressure collectively.

Both the pressing trap and counter-pressing have proven to be highly effective in the right circumstances. However, they also demand caution and tactical awareness. Implementing these strategies without proper organization and coordination can leave a team vulnerable to counter-attacks, especially if the defensive line is positioned high up the pitch. The head coach of Anjung Batu Police FC, Agus Gusti, seems to be well aware of these nuances as he frequently employs both tactics with caution and tactical acumen. The pressing trap is often paired with a high defensive line. By positioning the defenders closer to the opposition's goal, it becomes easier for them to engage in pressing and disrupt the opponent's play. On the other hand, counter-pressing aligns well with possession-based football, as teams playing this style are more likely to lose possession in the attacking third. The ability to swiftly win back the ball allows them to transition into a counter-attack and capitalize on the opposition's momentary disorganization. To sum it up, both the pressing trap and counter-pressing are potent tactical concepts that can yield fruitful results on the football pitch. However, they come with inherent risks and must be employed judiciously. Agus Gusti and his Anjung Batu Police FC seem to have embraced these tactics, employing them with caution and astute decision-making. It will be fascinating to observe how they use these strategies to their advantage in the matches to come.
