14th Federation Air Squadron
The Novovaritsyan air force reached the Qapese islands earlier than the navy. It is the 14th Federation Air Squadron, tasked with patrolling the area before the intervention force arrives. It's not a big fighter squadron; it just consists of five Novovaritsyan OG-25s. The leader, Squadron Leader Dmitry Popov, watched the area, waiting for enemy aircraft to show up.
Dmitry detected several aircraft, unknown to Novovaritsyan radar. "All pilots, on me," he said through the radio, "form battle formation; we're going to see what the radar will bring us to." "Roger that, Falcon 0-1," one of them replied. The five jets formed a battle formation and then moved towards the place where the plane was spotted, just to find several trainer aircraft.
"Sir, should we?" One of Dmitry's pilots asked "I wonder who the heck conducted air training in this kind of situation, but let's not. You don't want to be court martialed, right?" Dmitry replied. Dmitry decided to turn around and head towards the aircraft carrier due to low fuel.
Spetsnaz
"All Spetsnaz personnel, report to your helicopters immediately." The sound of the speaker can be heard through the entire FWS Shark 08, an aircraft carrier carrying Spetsnaz soldiers. First Lieutenant Igor Volkov awaited in front of his fireteam's VHA 5, an attack and transport helicopter used by the spetsnaz for this kind of operation. He told his men to get inside the helicopter as soon as they arrived. Once they were all inside, Igor walked in and closed the helicopter's door.
Igor's helmet is on his right hand. His torso is covered with a bulletproof vest with two pouches attached on his shoulder, one pouch on his chest, four pouches above the belt, and a T79B-AN slung on his chest. His shoulders are protected by armor plates with the symbol of the Omega Fireteam attached to one on the right. He's standing at 6.5 feet, with a scar on his right eye and a black balaclava covering his head (except for the eyes). Igor looked big and terrifying in that uniform, and that was probably what made him known as "Golem".
"Listen up!" he shouted to his man. His voice sounds deep and loud, giving his men a feeling of fear once they heard his voice: "We are not here for recreation. This is a war, and we are heading to the plains of blood. If you don't want your blood to flood these plains, then you need to stay on high alert. I don't want to lose any soldiers in this operation, and we all better go in and out of this mission alive. Eto yasno?" "Aye, sir!" they all shouted. "Omega 0-1 to command; the Omega Fireteam is ready to leave and finish this mission." "Roger that, Omega 0-1. Godspeed," someone replied through the radio.
The VHA 5 is taking off from the aircraft carrier. From inside, the soldiers can see that the other VHA 5s are also taking off from the aircraft carrier, followed by VH 12 and VHA 8. They are now heading to hell.

Lasan Jeraq sat in the cockpit of the MiG-41, he had never sat at the controls of a jet this fancy and high-tech, but he was a natural. At only 19 he was the most talented pilot to ever come out of the Qapese Air Academy, his instructors had called him the best pilot they had ever seen(Which wasn't saying much considering the Qapese air-force is...horrible), but even international trainers agreed he was a prodigy. He had been given a week to master the MiG-41, and 3 days in, he had a pretty good feel of how to fly it.
Suddenly he heard a noise on his radar. "Damn it." he muttered, possible enemy fighter jets were flying too close to the trainer aircraft airspace. He decided to try to swerve out of enemy radar range and attempt to observe what they would do. Seeing they had turned around he decided that now would be a nice test. He pushed on the throttle to try to chase down the aircraft and give them a small scare before hopefully turning back and perhaps drawing the enemies into potential anti-aircraft missile range.
OOC: If this is too unrealistic, please feel free to tell me. Aircraft and Aerial Warfare is not my strong point.

Qataab
The citizens of Qataab looked out at the waters, on the sea was a sight that they had seen only a few times, and unlike the other times where a few outdated destroyers fired blanks during military parades, these ships seemed legit. Many civilians and military members tried to get close to the shore to see what flag these ships could be waving. The people seemed relived that perhaps some international aid was coming to help them and a few brave souls tried swimming out to the ships. Then the guns fired. The people on the shore went from having hope to running for their lives. Shells slammed into the shoreline and into the outskirts of the city. Within minutes Qataab's once beautiful shores and scenic coast line were ruined, the bodies of many were spread across the ground, military and civilian alike.
After hearing of such horrifying news, the mayor of Qataab contemplated surrender, but surrender was a cowardly option and after much convincing he was persuaded to fight. One of the only real naval patrols was sent out to delay the elite naval forces, 5 small patrol boats armed with machine guns. All DRQ presence in the areas surrounding Qataab were called into the city to fortify for the inevitable upcoming battle...Greater Rostoria wrote:snip for sizeStatement from the Coalition for Democracy in Qap

The situation in Qap is potentially advantageous for Kerberosian expansion, should The Liberal Socialist Front (LSF) gain control of any portion of the nation of Qap. Currently several nations have provided support to all sides, including the LSF, however such support appears to be limited and poorly implemented. Our intelligence gathering capabilities have been enhanced by the near universal lack of detailed planning with the exception of The Federation of Rostoria. From what information we have currently gathered they seem to be limiting their involvement to supporting The Coalition for Democracy (CDQ) with humanitarian aid, as such our goals will likely coincide in several possible operations.CURRENT OBJECTIVES:
1: Make formal contact with the LSF leadership, assess their needs and respond based on said needs.
2: Establish a naval presence in the region to facilitate potential operations.
3: Insert intelligence assets to gain first hand intel, recommend utilizing civilian aid efforts to insert agents.
4: Locate ideal locations for humanitarian aid, and arrange delivery and security of aid.
5: Mobilize the 12th Infantry Parachute Brigade and 2nd Strategic Transport Squadron for deployment as needed.
This report is a basic and brief overview for the proposed Operation Crimson, further reports will provide details on specific aspects as needed.

General Teresa Web watched as the massive flying wing slowly circled the base, the new Roc cargo planes were impressive but untested in combat drop conditions. She wasn't worried however, the 12th Brigade was arguably the best unit in the nation, they trained constantly in small unit tactics, against superior forces. Every soldier under her command had at least twelve jumps under their belt, each had marksmanship badges and had completed a full tour in the KRA before being selected for the 12th. They where waiting, placed on standby for some CCV operation, apparently they might be dropped into Qap, some little group of islands on the other side of the world. If they deployed they would be helping some little rebellion gain control of the nation or at least part of it. Only time would tell what was to come next.....

"They're not even trying to hide their involvement are they?" Chairman Maria Smith's voice had a questioning tone. The latest briefing included satellite photos of cargo ships unloading men and equipment in Qap.
A young man in a well fitting suit nodded and gestured to a row of armoured vehicles. "As you can see there's a wide variety of armour here, but the tank force has us confused, they appear to be Panther 2s, the design is at least 70 years old and completely outdated, their main armaments where deadly in their time but will barely scratch modern composite armour, and every vehicle mounted cannon in our inventory can penetrate their frontal plates." He paused, thinking for a moment. "From what I gathered over penetration will likely occur if we use sabot darts, likely we'll need to issue HEAT or HESH shells to guarantee a reliable kill if it gets ugly."
Maria nodded, a sinister smirk crossing her normally elegant face. "The 12th has been issued our new RGL-3s, we'll make sure to drop extra 120mm HEAT rounds for them, its time we taught a lesson to these arrogant fools in the German-Eurpean Union, we'll show them a warm welcome to the 21st century."

Captain Graham was an old sea dog, in his forty-three years he had sailed everything from trash barges his current charge the Helicopter Carrier KNC Fortune. She had started life as a 400 meter long container ship, now her holds where hangers and troop quarters, her deck was leveled into a vast landing pad for up to a dozen utility helicopters. She wasn't a true warship however, with only eight AK-630 rotary cannons for point defence, no the main fire power came from her escorts, six Argos Class destroyers and six Rebirth Class frigates. The fleet wasn't overly threatening but there was no doubt they could put up a nasty fight if cornered. All this was in the Captain's mind as they drew ever closer to Qap's territorial waters, officially they were to operate in a support role, airlifting humanitarian aid with their compliment of 24 Mil-8s, but everyone knew that if things escalated then they would be in the thick of things...

Soros Udam stood in the empty bombed building, he and a few other high ranking generals had taken up residence here. Soros Udam was 74 and had been fighting the corrupt government since 14. He had seen it all, the first rebellion when the Junta had come to power had been crushed. The rebellions when the Congress was disbanded, he had seen it. He had risen to power in the LSF nearly 30 years ago and had not wavered in preparing a civil war plan. Now that the war was occurring, the plan was put in action. If the LSF could take control of the 4 major cities of Qap, the main war would be over. Only a few towns would remain and it could all be taken back over time. Udam had heard about global powers giving support, but he hadn't heard much in support for the LSF. "If we are going to win this war, support is necessary. If someone needs to contact us, we have a system of informants in any major populated area. We need people to know how to get to us and help us."

The outgoing fire was intense, the crackle of small arms and thump of explosives were punctuated by the sharp snaps of Kerberosian 6x49mm rifles, slowly the fire slacked off as targets dropped, either dead or taking cover. "CEASE FIRE, CEASE FIRE!!!" Falkers voice rang over the local radio, she was still behind the turret of the APC, scanning the area with her goggles. Moments later silence surrounded the soldiers, cries of pain and the clatter of spent casings replacing the deafening roar of battle. The KRA troopers still scanned the area, ready to open fire, or advance, whichever was needed. Falker shouted into the darkness, her voice harsh and threatening. "SURRENDER AND YOU WON'T BE HURT!"
