The dairy cows hereabouts eat a lot of alfalfa. We've got a mess of it growing in our back forty that one of the local dairy farmers harvests.

There is a formula for what causes inflation, and it's very simple. It is costs plus corporate profits. That's how you get inflation. If costs increase for a company because workers want higher wages or because the cost of raw materials go up, you can get inflation. If corporate profits go up, you can get inflation. Now, you may remember a lot of economists last year saying that corporations or corporate greed was not driving inflation, but corporate profits could be a driver of inflation. It's right there in the inflation formula, says Andrew Glover at the Federal Reserve Bank of Kansas City.

So the government is trying to blame the private sector for its shortcomings?

They feed mostly alfalfa hay here, but the dairy men grow their own.

It’s because they’re already depleting their own aquifers doing the same thing over there, so their agricultural know-how pretty much extends to using massive amounts of fossil fuels to pump groundwater up onto extremely sunny desert monoculture plantations, and they’re so rich that bulk-shipping it back home to feed their own cows is a rounding error. Fortunately, their pliant American ally also has deserts with big aquifers to tap, so they’re not limited to the land and water supply of the Kingdom. Don’t you love when modern agroindustry turns water into a non-renewable feedstock, to create more arable land which it then also uses as a non-renewable feedstock?

I’m well aware of why they do it.

I live in Arizona. Fortunately though at the end of the year they won’t be doing it anymore as the state government has ceased supporting them

Isn't this the same parent who has complained about several other things too? Florida strikes again. I feel if Democrats could ever take the majority and win the governorship that these laws will be reversed in a heartbeat.

Winning in Jacksonville is a great first step to regaining power. The last Democrat elected governor was Lawton Chiles who served from 1991 to 1998. His Lieutenant Governor Buddy Mackay was the Democratic nominee to succeed him and lost the election to Jeb Bush. MacKay would briefly become Governor after Chiles passing in December of that year from a heart attack.

Ron DeSantis is currently on Twitter with Elon Musk declaring for the Republican nomination as President of the USA, I hope Ron DeSantis understands that if he comes in second place to President Trump by whatever Percentage % as expected, their will be a lot of political pressure at the Republican convention and outside the Republican convention, for him and President Trump to kiss and make up like politics works, and for Ron DeSantis to be President Trump's 2024 Vice President of the USA. of course they will have to work out the 12th amendment problem similar to how Bush and Cheney worked it out.

John Eastman has asked the Supreme Court to wipe away a ruling that said evidence showed that he and Trump may have been plotting a crime.

It's really a moot point because the evidence was handed over to the now defunct Jan 6th Committee. However, it seems Eastman's likely hidden motive is to hopefully null and void the evidence that will probably (there's a good chance) be used if he were to be indicted. Yeah, it just screams desperation.

Ron DeSantis was supposed to announce formally he was running for President on Twitter with Elon Musk. Instead, massive technical glitches on Twitter that kept him from declaring his candidacy, leading to ridicule with the hashtag #DeSaster trending. Not how you want to start your campaign.

Should have announced on a more traditional basis but given his lack of charisma, it made sense why he chose this route. Too bad for him, it was an epic failure that Trump is bound to seize on.

Desaster too is, ironically, also a metal band as I've learned just now.

Too much copium I know. I’ll stop.
