Wait, is it a reference to the theme song? Because I'm definitely going to be skipping over that entirely every single time, I won't be revisiting that for old times' sake at all. Of all the things I remember most vividly it's how bad that intro is.

Instrumental isn't too bad.

Pretty well put together trailer.

Kelvin trope with that shuttle, more Gorn, Rigel VII looks pretty much the same, live action LDS looks good, generally does a decent job of showing off snippets which look interesting.

It would've been nice if SNW was a 25th century show instead of another 23rd century in-between-quel, but I can't deny that I do generally enjoy it.

I have to admit; it grew on me. I tried watching it and was meh. Watched discovery and then found it made sense to me the next time I tried it.

The Pegasus was really weighing on Rikers mind. I've seen weight flux from stress, but dang son, gaining and losing 40 pounds over a few days is rough.

Okay, my brief break from Star Trek is over and I've officially started watching Enterprise, essentially for the first time ever. I remember its plotlines and a few big moments, but episode by episode is truly going to feel like watching for the first time. Unlike every other series, I have literally never seen an episode of Enterprise beyond when it aired. I also don't think I ever finished watching the series, so that's going to be an interesting experience for sure, knowing the reputation of the final episode.

And I have to IMMEDIATELY point out how fucking bad censorship on TV is. Those were the most blatant nipples I've ever seen on television. Good god in heaven, T'Pol could have been fully naked and it wouldn't have made a difference.

EDIT: Now Archer's dick and balls are hanging out!? What is happening in this show!?!?!?

You're in for a recurring theme of annoying immaturity. Happily, it usually stays on the sidelines and mostly goes away in the fourth season.

But other than that, a certain cold war, and some stale episode plots, I think ENT is a fairly okay show. Solidly in the middle at worst.

Could be worse, I've seen a local PBS station blur a nude painting (pretty sure it was a Goya even...) in the background of a scene in Inspector Morse, but then let actual topless scenes in Sharpe air completely uncensored...

Fuck yeah SNW is back and hitting the ground running.

Oh look, real Klingons, not whatever the Abrams fuck we got in Disco. Well done.

They're playing a little loose with the canon lore here, I'm guessing the Gorn war won't actually happen, but Arena was supposed to be the official first contact with Gorn. If they have a war, beforehand that would complicate things.

Also, Carol Kane as the wacky centuries old chief engineer? Yes please.

Pretty solid opening for sure.
Makes sense they went with an action and adventure kind of plot for the opening, and I’m guessing the courtroom drama is next week.
