Setting our course for The Eternal Frontier, we saw the chance to have some fun. Well after a few delays the May 2023 report for The League and Concord is finally ready, this time there will be no follow up announcement with news of TL/C changing sides in the R/D unfortunately, much to the dismay of many I'm sure.

TL/C News and Events

• On the 18th of April Concord began its transition to becoming a Frontier as had long been anticipated in both TL and Concord, finishing the transition on the 2nd of may with the first nation to spawn inside being the nation ofMuffinland.
• Gagium has been appointed the new Director of Culture after the last Director (Jack Empire) was dismissed from his post by the Consulate.
• Mechnocracy hit a record of 188 endorsements but ended the month with 180 endorsements, with both Vice-Delegates of Concord also getting record endorsement numbers. Creeperopolis ended the month with 228 endorsements.
• Anjan Kloss has kept up their #1 spot in the recruitment listing this month, with over 204.5 hours of recruitment, The Eltran came in second with 162.5 hours of recruitment, and Quebecshire in third with 90.5 hours of recruitment.
• The Ranger program in Concord is down to about 146 nations, with numbers being lowered by ongoing military operations.
• The TL/C Minecraft server was relaunched this month by the Cultural Department, much to the cheers of many within the Community.

LDF Updates

• This month the LDF helped The North Pacific as they secured The Wellspring, with over 32 members of the LDF joining that operation.
• The LDF assisted with a raid of The End after Varanius in their infinite searching of NS noticed it was being transitioned to a frontier.
• The LDF also assisted with many smaller operations in Libcord this month.

TL/C Foreign Affairs Updates

• TL/C and our allies in Europeia held a joint celebration this month to celebrate both Concord and Europeia becoming Frontiers on the same day.
• TL/C and some of our allies released a joint statement on The North Pacific which can be read here.
• The Valencia Community have joined the Department of Foreign Affairs as a diplomatic agent this month aswell.

If raiders are good for much, it's certainly not productive use of time. For about a month and a half, the supposedly fearsome Vampire King spent his days as a paper pusher, carrying out the bureaucratic work for a regime of newer players he was desperate to climb the ladders of to initiate his attack. After serving as the Chief Justice, though, his goal was finally in reach - the infiltrator was appointed Guardian and his next invasion was just a reach away.

With the day of the invasion ready, assassins and their lackeys swept in and seized the delegacy, an event which startled the natives of the peaceful Frontier. After all of this time lounging around in Canada, you may have expected full advantage to be taken of this situation, the failure to permanently seize Canada certainly left a bad taste in raider mouths.

No, of course not. They got right to work acting on hubris, ejecting over a hundred random nations, primarily non-WAs, burning all of the influence they had worked so hard to gain as a Guardian. As it drained and they instead attempted to mock natives on the regional board, liberation efforts began planning.

The Vampire King's ship goes down as he flees the Sahara...

There is a reason raiders tend to target smaller, inactive, or weaker regions. It's easier - they can purge unsuspecting and quiet nations, jeer at the few that engage their nonsense, and pat themselves on the back. Targeting a region with an active community and a fighting spirit will more often than not put them out of their depth. Indeed, regions like China and New Westphalia saw intense and successful liberation efforts due to the contributions of their native communities.

Similarly, the native government of Greater Sahara was resolved to oust the traitor that used their community for his own gratification. Lave Deldederady and Inner Kilvaka both partook in liberation efforts with grace - gaining over 80 endorsements in our jump point in addition to their native ones. As our coalition poured in, Lave Deldederady secured a verified 101 endorsements, completely outpacing and seizing the delegacy from the turncoat and his foreign backers.

Undoubtedly the raiders knew their loss was imminent and their time fairly wasted, as bans came few and far between before the final outsting of the infiltrator. With nothing else to do, they ended their long operation with some final jeers on the message board, out of other options.

Best of luck to the natives of Greater Sahara in recovering from this raid.

Maybe Koth should've raided a noob region on behalf of a UCR he didn't even run, cling to power for a decade, participate in a few ponderous 10,000 word agendaposts that still don't manage to reach the dubious 'glory' of his UCR backer calling the shots, and leave the region a backwater that lacks any appeal whatsoever.

Perhaps then NS woud have another player as illustrious as North East Somerset.
