CAFA Cup 6: and the City -- Signup/Bid Thread

Welcome to the sixth edition of Anaia’s regional association football championship. The CAFA Cup is Anaia’s Regional Championship for Association Football. It is open only to nations in the Anaia Region, provided that they remain a member of the region for the duration of this competition, and that they also do not sign up for any other regional association football cup.

To sign up for the CAFA Cup, please post in this thread with your roster information.
Sign-ups without a roster will not be accepted*, and posting placeholders (i.e. “reserved for roster information”) will be looked at poorly.
This will be strictly enforced in current and future CAFAs.
If you are posting a roster, it is also recommended to include an RP permissions box. An example of this can be found in the spoiler below:
Code: Select all
RP Permissions Box
If my opponent RPs our match first, I give them permission to:
Godmod scoring events: Y/N
RP Injuries to my players: Y/N
Godmod injuries to my players: Y/N
Hand out yellow cards to my players: Y/N
Hand out red cards to my players: Y/N

I prefer you pick these goalscorers for my side:

Puppet Entries:
If a user signs up with a nation that entered the previous CAFA, they may enter up to two nations, provided they were both in the Anaia region at the time that this post was created and remain for the duration of the tournament. In their signup/roster post, users must indicate their second nation -- typically called a puppet -- as such. Undeclared puppets who do not comply with this rule may have all nations associated with their user removed from the tournament.

Host Bids:
Host bids are encouraged to be posted in this thread. Prospective hosts should indicate their plans for format, scorinator, RP Bonus, tiebreakers, and any other elements as needed. Approved hosts will take over all operation of the tournament from the CAFA account for the edition they are voted to host, including determining signup deadlines and overall schedule.
The deadline for host bids shall be 72 hours after the first host bid posted by someone who has also submitted a roster, or one week from the time of this post, whichever is later.
The entry deadline shall be set by the host, but shall be no sooner than April 10th 2023 at 20:00 UTC.

Current CAFA Rankings:
The current CAFA rankings are available here. They will be updated to reflect the post-WC93 rankings when those are available, which may affect your ranking by up to one ranking point.

Please do not post in this thread if you are not a member of the Anaia region or a moderator performing their duties. Otherwise, your post will be considered spam, and may bring moderator action.

Though Yesopalitha enters first, it is Chromatika's puppet. Also, absolutely fine to cut this as a numbers puppet.

The Aleirave Football Association
Baptism of Fire LXXVIII Champions
Roster for CAFA Cup VI
Image

OOC: All players in blue are ethnically Klysevian, all players in red are native Aleiravan.

The island nation of Aleirave is a rather small one, with a population of barely 50 thousand, located by a sea they know as the Retakono Me'a, or the sea of mystery. The only islands that were anywhere near them seemed to sink under the sea a couple years back, leaving them as the most isolated nation in the region of Anaia.

The nation of Aleirave was originally founded by Fyodor Tereyev, who was a puteshestvennik (or "traveller") from Klysevia, about 350 years ago. His descendants ruled the island up until the year 2023, when Alexandr Tereyev was shot and killed by a lone gunman in a peaceful protest. Since then, the island has been ruled as an Special Administrative Unit of Eshialand, effectively acting as its own democratic nation within a nation.

The year of 2026 marked an interesting chapter in Aleiravan foorball history, that's for sure. Haulafo Paka'ula was told that he'd have to make Aleirave go to the semifinals of CAFA V in order to keep his job, and he did exactly that, leading the Seagulls to their second 4th-place finish in three CAFA Cups. Not bad for a small island with barely enough population to sustain its own economy, but the yearning to finally crack into the podium this time around remains.

As for World Cup Qualifying, it's viewed by many fans as a missed opportunity. They went from holding down a playoff spot as late as Matchday 16 to a 6th-place finish by the end, being sent to the Cup of Harmony. Hey, at least they did decently in their group and even snagged a draw against Saint Eleanor. They couldn't beat Eshialand, but oh well, it was a decent run.

Now, it's time for CAFA Cup VI. Two young new players have joined up with the squad, and they're now ready to take on any challenge that comes their way... or get fourth again. It remains to be seen what exactly will happen. One thing is for sure, however, and that is that they'll try their best to be the greatest speck of sand Anaia has ever seen!

First international: Audioslavia 4-0 Aleirave (CAFA II)
First win: Aleirave 6-3 Space Laser Dinosaur Robot Pirate Land (CAFA III)

Worst loss: Audioslavia 4-0 Aleirave (CAFA II)

Most goals against: Audioslavia 4-0 Aleirave (CAFA II), Eraman 4–4 Aleirave (WCQ XCIII)
Highest-scoring match: Aleirave 6-3 Space Laser Dinosaur Robot Pirate Land (CAFA III), Caribbia 3-6 Aleirave (BoF LXXVIII), Aleirave 7–2 The Cannaland Islands (WCQ XCIII)

Coach: Haulafo PAKA'ULA (M, 56)
Given the political situation in Aleirave, Coach Paka'ula was not supposed to form this team. His grand scheme when he decided to craft this team was to show that natives could be just as good at football as the Klysevians, and that the two could work together in an international competition. President Tereyev flatly denied Haulafo's request to start the team, so he did what any normal person would do and assembled the team anyway.

Stadium Assignments
Aminey, Aminey - Stade sur la Baie (70000) - home to Aminey CS (and the Aminey Caspians, Aminey Buffaloes, and Aminey Owls).
The flagship stadium, huge production values, the works.

Schemerdrecht, Intermare - Orange Bowl (54000) - home to Schemerdrecht SVV (and the Schemerdrecht Admirals).
More associated perhaps with the Admirals than the SVV, but it's nearly always sold out venue for great crowds in any sport.

Maethoru, KCT - Rikalathen Arena (39000) - home to Maethoru SC (and Mayara Wanderers-Vulpecula).
Close to the KFA's training grounds, at least it has that going for it. Crowds aren't great here.

Étouille, Cote Austral - Stade Amandine (30000) - home to Tanques AOE (and the Etouille Vultures).
Some amazing drone shots over a stadium, a city, and a crowd that knows what makes life fun.

Santa Teresa, Finisterre - Estádio Fortaleza (29000) - home to Miradela GD (and the Santa Teresa Sabres).
Made to be exactly 1000 seats larger than their rivals' stadium, the Fortaleza is the upper-class stadium.
OR
Santa Teresa, Finisterre - Estádio Marítimo (28000) - home to Branvon CD.
The working class stadium that is, in all facets, a bit inferior to the Fortaleza. Except the crowds. There's no better stadium for wild crowds.

Maynard, Leeshire - Armskirk Municipal Ground (26000) - home to Maynard AFC.
The unlucky Maynard team have asked the KFA to have their stadium used by the national team - as the only southwestern stadium.

Katashi, Katashi - Suzumebachi Stadium (25000) - home to Katashi-Kanatsu.
The biggest stadium in the east, Katashi deserves a game. The fans will mostly just cheer for the Yoshiman players, though.

Greencaster, Surbourneshire - Golhampton Grounds (25000) - home to Sydberg Olympia.
Greencaster never had a big football culture, but that's changed, and the local Olympia have kept pace with the hype. Biggest city in the country, too.

Aevanna, Aerellen - Northern Arena (32000) - home to university team 'Aevanna Ecologiske Universitet'.
The KFA wants some games geographically spread across the country, and so the cold, dark, and cold gridiron Northern Arena is on the list.

Alara, Alara - Spider Stadium (27100) - home to Advance Alara.
Eastern but not on the island Katashi's on. Fans are used to seeing a lot of goals - which the Dragonflies don't do.

Straudum, Sudaefjoll - Hazel Arena (25400) - home to Straudum VV.
Biggest stadium in the northeast, as far as the mainland goes. Straudum's style matches the NT's style perfectly. Propped up by the massive (rich) IT sector.

Eaglebury, WSR - Uriagali Field (18000) - home to WSR AFC and Pride of Eaglebury.
Biggest/only stadium on the west coast. Eaglebury has an amazing, flourishing sports culture and it's no longer completely ignored by the other 99% of the country.

1 GK Edou Bittencourt (KOR, 30) - Miradela GD, a martyr, strong, playmaker

10 GK Wemagun Cyamou (KOR, 23) - Maethoru SC, a questioning, plump, tactician
20 GK Carl Malmstroom (KOR, 28) - Tanques AOE, a fanatical, compact, debater

Bittencourt is easily the best goalie in the country as it stands, but he's only recently gotten the nod to be the long-term starter, as his tendency to join passing plays was seen as a weakness rather than a strength. Cyamou is the obvious backup - Maethoru have done it again. Malmstroom might be the better goalkeeper on reflexes, his smaller frame hinders him.

Image
2 RF Edialor Aiamara (KOR, 32) - Maethoru SC, a egotistical, beefy, mercenary
3 RB Aoremis Aelea (KOR, 25) - Holdenberg, EUR, a loud, fit, tackler
4 CB Jubenar Mallerbury (KOR, 29) - Zilverstraat SC, TSA, a evil, agile, dynamo
5 LB Harmon Mulvahil (KOR, 28) - Osarese Marcadia, AUD, a good, staunch, aggressor
6 LF Emi (f) van Kalvenhaar (KOR, 29) - Urrheddiao, CMT, a active, bulky, all-rounder

11 RB Phineas Betteridge (KOR, 30) - Kawarthas District, KSK, a dynamic, powerful, pace setter
12 RB Charley Mellowby (KOR, 18) - Maynard AFC, a aggressive, petite, box-to-box player
13 CB Egesa Aedil (KOR, 20) - Tanques AOE, a polite, muscular, wall
14 LB Marc Hoevink (KOR, 29) - IFK Liverpool United, DAR, a soft, instinctive, gladiator
15 LF Kaneyoshi Kaji (KOR, 20) - Katashi-Kanatsu, a dense, petite, mercenary
16 LF Obadiah Gillinghurst (KOR, 21) - Schemerdrecht SVV, a soft, powerful, leader

The starting five are solid enough. Especially at the three centreback positions (RB, CB, LB), Ko-oren have more talent than they could ever field if there were ten tournaments going on at the same time. At the wingback positions, either you get a group of very aging players (right wing: Aiamara is the only one aging like wine as opposed to Mizuno (33) and Grootenhuis (35) already past it and Boulanger and Aberg aging like milk) or a genuinely exciting group of talents. Of those, Van Kalvenhaar is the starter and probably the best player on the team entirely. Kaji is the golden boy, but Gillinghurst isn't far behind - in fact, Gillinghurst is developing far quicker on a Schemerdrecht team that he's allowed to put under his wing as far as a 21-year old is able to. Aelea is a new name for the starting five, Mallerbury gets there on individual talent alone but isn't much of a teammate, and Mulvahil also isn't much of 'cement' between the lines to forge eleven individuals into a true team. It might be a continuation of a rocky World Cup 93: we've moved from a tactical, intelligent trio of centrebacks to three guys that basically just want to test out how sliding tackle-resistant the pitch is. Luckily, give it a few cycles and there's Mellowby for a passing option, Aedil as a motivator and teammate, and then there's Hoevink and Betteridge as experienced alternatives for our back line butchers.

Image
7 DM Jolgurasaun Dhentingun (KOR, 30) - Mercia Bromham, KRY, a helpful, bulky, box-to-box player
8 RM Ciriaco Laza (KOR, 20) - Miradela GD, a cruel, compact, showman
9 CM Purelbusak Entatingun (KOR, 23) - Maethoru SC, a noncompetitive, heavy, mercenary
X LM Khidinu Daraluthen (KOR, 27) - Menomonie United, DAR, a pretentious, thin, playmaker

17 DM Orinosuke Uozumi (KOR, 23) - Katashi-Kanatsu, a circumspect, trim, aggressor
18 RM Naohiro Enokida (KOR, 27) - Advance Alara, a neat, pacy, maestro
19 CM Geomraff yCinrhadd (KOR, 28) - Shamrock Cathair, AUD, a loving, stocky, architect
1X LM Shutel Tehinnau (KOR, 20) - Maethoru SC, a political, tiny, captain
1= AM Teiichi Tsuchimoto (KOR, 20) - Katashi-Kanatsu, a mean, quick, debater
21 AM Rachel (f) Walbuck (KOR, 22) - Tanques AOE, a fearless, toned, workhorse

It's better late than never for Dhentingun, often overlooked as an option in favour of Uozomi but given his knowledge of mainland clubs (playing for a Krytie team) he probably has a better encyclopedic knowledge of how to disassemble attackers from other Anaian nations. It's also for the first time that our midfield will trend more to a 1-3 than a diamond, with the exclusion of a central attacking midfielder - from now on, our attacks will be wing-based a bit more. Laza and Daraluthen get the opportunity to show off what they can do: Daraluthen makes his debut at 27, Laza has been on-and-off for a while. Entatingun is a tremendous playmaker and the second best player on the team (after Van Kalvenhaar). On the bench: Uozomi with plenty of NT experience, Enokida who continues to dazzle while on Alara but lacks the structure around him to do the same on the Dragonflies (because Alara just play his exact style), with Tehinnau getting his first call-up on the other wing. yCinrhadd will see a lot of play as the most versatile being we've ever seen: has the stamina and pace to play anywhere, the vision to play anywhere, and the technical skills to add value all over the place. Tsuchimoto and Walbuck are the attacking options, should we miss a central option like Longchambon always was. Going from a compact team playing in the middle to a possession-based team that uses the wings is a huge paradigm shift for the Dragonflies - bigger than you might imagine.

Image
= RS Aenemere Erisia (KOR, 34) - Stanton Town, KRY, a childlike, slender, opportunist
22 SS Hurorinul Bonstirthinden (KOR, 27) - Aminey CS, a inhibited, gigantic, glass cannon
23 LS Rex Archer (KOR, 27) - Aminey CS, a relaxed, lanky, cheater

Any one of the three could be starting. With Erisia, you're getting an uncomplicated and confident striker who just gets goals (but doesn't like the other bits of football. Defensive structures? Gameplans? Yuck). Archer gets you a True Ko-orenite Striker (tm): nasty, invisible for hours, then gets one chance and finishes it, while spending the rest of the time positioning himself to stop any turnover or breakout by the opposition. Professional yet annoying. Bonstirthinden will utilise the 4-man midfield behind him to set up chances, will rarely take the shot himself but can create danger by putting nearly every other player in 1-on-1s.

Image
We play post-football, a term coined during World Cup 89 to put words to a horrible semifinal between Audioslavia and the Dragonflies, which ended 0-0 after 120 minutes, then all but one penalty was scored in the ensuing series. Post-football means no singing. No cheering. No scoring. Post-football is sideways passes, looking like the same, repetitive movements for minutes on end, but with tiny variations that at some point will get to you. It could be a counterattack, or a shot from distance, or a set piece. Post-football doesn't care if it takes 90 or 120 minutes, or more.

This team is all about containing their opponent, letting them make mistakes, and capitalising on those. Let the other guys get impatient, lose the ball, and immediately go for the counter attack. Yes, it's frustrating to play against, but you have to admit that there's a certain beauty to doing this near-flawlessly every single time. The Dragonflies aren't a very physical team, but can match almost every opponent in stamina (not so much power or speed, though. Typically only the wingers are pacy). Instead, they rely on tactics and patience. The team is also good enough to be in possession a lot and dictate the tempo, though they're not always creative enough to break down the opposing defence - for that, the Dragonflies have learned to be very, very good on counterattacks, set pieces, and a few patterns in open play. Given the experience most of these players have, it's hard to come up with something new they've never seen - and then do that well enough to reliably score. In order to beat us, you'll need to bring two (or more) of the following: power, speed, caution.

Basically, this team comes prepared, is patient, and keeps a cool head.

Image
Numbers 1 to = typically start (but not always, feel free to choose your starters). That's 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, X, and =.
Numbers 1-1= are typically selected as starters or subs (but not always, feel free to select some 23+-ers as subs or starters).
Numbers 20 and over are mostly there as emergency replacements, but can be part of the squad for some games. These are almost always younger players with a lot of promise.

Image
The standard for this team. Five defenders, a defensive midfielder-slash-pivot, two wingers, an attacking midfielder-annex-second striker, and a pure finisher up front. In possession, one of the defenders can push up: this might be one of the fullbacks to provide width, but can also be one of the centrebacks, in which case the defensive midfielder makes way. The wingers will be wider or narrower based on the opposition, and the same determines how far the fullbacks will advance. In defence, the team becomes narrower, with the defensive midfielder playing spoiler to whoever is trying to find space between the Ko-orenite lines, and the wingers falling back to meet opposing fullbacks. The striker and attacking midfielder will almost always look for space to launch a counterattack. Alternate formations almost all include changes to the midfield. The diamond - played with either two wingers (RM-LM) or two central midfielders (CM-CM) or even a combination of those two - can turn into a 2-2 with two defensively minded (if not DMs) players and two offensively minded (if not AMs) ones. A 3-1 (three defensive players) is somewhat rare given the heavy backline, but there may be a reason to play it: maybe the fullbacks push up the wings and we need to cover something. Or the centrebacks get a lot of space to advance the ball and our midfielders cover them. A 1-3 (three offensive players) is far more likely, especially against smaller opponents in qualifiers, to chase more goals. At that point, we might even bring on a second striker (SS) or striker (LS/RS/ST) and play (formally) a 5-3-2. Honestly, the formation is secondary to the gameplan and the space our opponents give us: if we need a 2-3-5 to get us the biggest chance at a win (and a clean sheet while we're at it) we'll do it.

Squad for CAFA Cup 6

GOALKEEPERS
## Position Name Age Club
1 G Constance Creighton 27 Shamrock Cathair
13 G Curipurinho 27 AC Izotz Zubia
22 G Dalton Speare 26 Oljestaden IF
Audioslavian goalkeepers tend to be wild-eyed heretics, preaching forbidden sermons from the Gospel According to Saint Get Rid Of It Then?!. Your average Audioslavian goalie is about 6'1 max and more likely to punch crosses to safety rather than risk going for a catch. When the ball's at the other end of the field, Audioslavian keepers can be found strutting around the edge of their area like a peacock, shouting instructions at their strikers as if the speed of sound didn't exist. Current number one Creighton is 5'11 and stocky, quieter than usual but making up for volume shortcomings with his heavy use of violent sexual imagery when shouting. Audioslavia is a solid 6/10 for goalkeepers.

Centre Halves
## Position Name Age Club
2 D RC Everton Bolding 27 Sabrefell Moths
5 D C Sandy Harkness 26 Shamrock Cathair
6 D/M C Reuben Corkhill 30 KT Moreazerua
15 D C Valerién Tibère 27 1830 Cathair
23 D C Bartol Villanueva 23 AC Izotz Zubia
24 D C Obadele Volonte 35 Directus
Audioslavian centre halves are tall by local standards (5'10 - 6'2) but in international football are often lacking a bit of power compared to their opposite numbers. The tall, rangy Volonte, a last-minute call-up after he sneaked through a fitness test, is an exception here. He's assured on the ball, if occasionally lacking in concentration, and weirdly enough just quite nice a person. Audioslavians are 6/10 for centre-halves, which is one of the reasons Savigliane international Valerién Tibère was drafted into the squad the second his former nation dissolved.

Full Backs
## Position Name Age Club
2 D/M R Olavo Larrea 29 AC Izotz Zubia
3 D/M L Hernán Mata-Curie 28 1830 Cathair
21 D/M RL Orson MacGowan 25 Shamrock Cathair
Although historically a 9/10 position for Audioslavian teams, the current 'Post-Tiago Brown' era of full-backs aren't quite up to the usual standard. Mata-Curie has been bombing up and down the flanks for 1830 Cathair and the National Team for as long as anyone can remember, and Olavo Larrea has held a place down at AC Izotz Zubia for a few seasons, but neither are quite the diminutive six-lunged slaloming firecracker you'd expect at 2 and 3. Alaba may even opt to go for Everton Bolding at right-back for a little more solidity - the muscular 5'10 defender isn't afraid to get forward, but at the end of the day is more of a wandering centre half than your average Audioslavian full-back - a winger that can stay sober long enough to remember to pay his taxes.

Defensive Midfielders
## Position Name Age Club
4 DM C Iñigo Higgs 26 Cazadores Cathair
16 DM C Iker Munir 26 AC Izotz Zubia
20 DM C Gael Morea 26 KT Moreazerua
Alaba's insistence on having a versatile, all-action DM at Zozi has rubbed off on the national team, who tend to select at least three in each squad. Higgs is generally accepted as being the better of these three, but Alaba trusts Munir to play the water-carrier more than he does Higgs to play the spoiler. Bulls teams are typically 6/10 for defensive midfielders. For information on what happens when a nation of shithouses produces top quality defensive midfielders, please consult our entry on Brenecian Midfielders, which you might find under the subheading of Major National League Imports

Central Midfielders
## Position Name Age Club
7 M C Yuriorkis Stelea 33 KT Itzalovalle
8 M C Unai Cappadonna 29 AC Izotz Zubia
18 M C Gabriel Buvalelli 29 Osarese Marcadia
Audioslavian football is always a bit 4/10 for central midfielders. Cappadonna is a reliable playmaker, Stelea formerly a box-to-box midfielder but now more of a water-carrier. Buvalelli is the second of the Savigliano imports in this roster, and takes over the all-action role vacated by Stelea at the behest of his own knees.

Wingers
## Position Name Age Club
11 M L Marc-Antoine Trigintillion 22 Shamrock Cathair
14 M R Briareo Asaguirreiturri 29 KT Ferramendiak
17 M LC Ivan Molinar 27 Laivana JPS
Typically a 10/10 position for the Bulls, what with the national team's historical insistence on playing a counter-attacking game. Marc-Antoine Trigintillion, the bald-headed youngster at Shamrock, fits that mould, but is still finding more game time for the national team than he does for his club. Briareo was born and raised in Chromatika and therefore is much calmer and better at passing than any Audioslavian should have any right to be, while untested Laivana winger Ivan Molinar just stinks of 'here to make up the numbers'.

Forwards
## Position Name Age Club
9 AM/F C Helios Roy 26 Raynor City United
10 AM/F C Wilhelm Hielscher-Zendagorta 27 Cazadores Cathair
12 F C Gunner Laursen 23 Laivana JPS
19 F C Danil Lanziego 28 Osarese Marcadia
Audioslavian strikers are often solid 8/10s, and will almost always be listed with the numbers 9, 10, 12 and 19. Nobody really remembers why. Either way, Roy and Zendagorta are the main attractions here. The former won the league with Osarius Marcadia and now plies his trade for the Rawrcrush Cinematic Universe while you may have seen Wilhelm Hielscher-Zendagorta in an S+T shirt. Half Audioslavian, half Teus, WHZ just goes by the Audioslavian of his two names for the national team. Roy is the finisher, Zendagorta the all-action striker.

Style Modifier: -5
Penalties: Zendagorta (placement > power), Roy (tries to be too clever)
Corners: Asaguirreiturri, Mata-Curie
Free Kicks: Cappadonna (placement), Bolding (power), Mata-Curie (cross)

A possible starting eleven

Potted history
  • Audioslavia reached the finals of World Cups 12, 19, 20 and 29, losing all of them and gaining a reputation as a team that chokes.
  • After thirty cycles away, Audioslavia returned to win the Baptism of Fire before World Cup 59, won the AOCAF Cup in cycle 60 and then won back-to-back World Cups in cycles 63 and 64. That's the golden generation right there.
  • Things went back to normal after that. The side lost a few more major finals, including World Cups 67, 69 and 76.
  • Recent cycles have seen Audioslavia fall to the midfield in the rankings, failing to qualify for each of the last three World Cups. That disappointment has been offset by victory in CAFA Cup 3 and Cup of Harmony 83, both in Cycle 91.
  • Audioslavia is one of two nations to have won five major senior titles - BoF, CoH, WC plus two different regional championships. They recently became the only team in history to have recorded 1st, 2nd and 3rd placed finishes in each of the three WCC tournaments, plus regional competition.
  • Recently discovered in the history books: A regional tournament for the now-defunct FIFA region, held before World Cup 28. Audioslavia won this tournament, but do not consider it to be an official regional title unless Nepharans are in the room.

Style of Play
  • Post Football is the name given to Audioslavia's style of play. It's based on the idea that, the less the game resembles football, the more ill at ease your opponents will be. Audioslavia play dirty, sideways and overly cautiously.
  • Kontrapuntzeka is another word for it. Literally meaning counter-attacking, Audioslavia's national team are comfortable playing without the ball and charging forward in numbers when they do finally get it. Each player on this team has a deep understanding of how, when and where to attack on the counter. Losing the ball and allowing the Bulls to hit you on the break can be fatal to even the best teams in the multiverse.
  • Audioslavian managers have started trying to get the defenders to pass the ball around the back to entice their opponents forward. Audioslavian defenders hate this almost as much as Audioslavian fans.
  • Our footballers tend to be on the shorter, leaner side, with everyone outside of the goalie, centre forward and centre half topping out at about 5'10.
  • Audioslavian footballers are often tenacious, with the highest levels of stamina you'll see in world football. Audioslavian sides are often capable of playing at a high-tempo for long periods of time, and wins are often through attrition rather than skill.
  • Audioslavian teams are notorious for gamesmanship - the bending of the rules in order to gain an advantage. Players will taunt, feign injury, surround the referee, basically anything if it seems like it'd be beneficial. Audioslavians feel no shame in this. As far as they're concerned, their willingness to go further than the other team is a sign that they're more dedicated than their opponents might be. What might be considered dishonourable behaviour for you might be considered normal in Audioslavia.
  • Audioslavian teams fear losing. It's our greatest weakness and, given how this fear manifests itself in big games, a powerful irony
  • As well as lacking a bit of raw power, Audioslavian footballers often lack technique compared to their foreign counterparts.
  • Above all else though, what Audioslavian national teams often lack is heart. The worse things are going, the worse Audioslavians play. They're the classic bully. When things don't pan out as they expect, they retreat physically and mentally.

The Manager
Old enough to have been born in independent Ittuributa, formerly a player at Royal Association and Apox's Urbanista Trojans, when Alaba joined KT Itzalovalle for just $200,000 in the eleventh transfer window, he surely can't have imagined he would be calling Audioslavia his home for the next twenty-five cycles.

He stayed as a player for over ten years, making dozens of appearances in the UICA Globe Cup, IFCF Champions League and IFCF Challengers Cup. His own declining years coincided with that of his club, however. Limited to a handful of games, and arguably a handful more than he should have been playing as a 39 year-old, Alaba was relegated with Itzi at the end of National League Season 6 (current season: 23). Retiring early the next season, Alaba would find the managerial reigns of the club offered to him as it languished near the bottom of the second division, teetering on the brink of a humiliating descent into the third tier. Alaba scraped together enough points for an eighth placed finish, achieved promotion the following season and, after propelling his club to fifth and sixth placed finishes over the next two seasons, mounted a real charge for the title in season eleven, missing out on the league title to Cazadores by just two points.

With Itzi's board refusing to back Alaba further in the transfer market, the Astograthian would leave the club he'd spent seventeen seasons at before the start of season twelve in a shock move, joining area rivals AC Izotz Zubia, with whom he won a first league title in five seasons for the men in salmon and silver. Three more league titles, two Kirola Cups, two Tropicorp Super Cups would follow over the next eight seasons as Alaba built a side that finished in the top three in every single cycle he managed. Notably in season seventeen, his Zozi side finished a point behind his old club, KT Itzalovalle, a club who would perhaps not have been so competitive at the top had he not worked his magic there a decade prior.

Alaba left Zozi after eight seasons, lured by a not insignificant amount of money from the national team. His first cycle was a mixed-bag, exiting the CAFA Cup early and failing to qualify for the World Cup, but the fact that Audioslavia's performance in qualifying put among the top ten best teams in terms of points scored, and the fact that he managed to lead the side to victory against a stacked line-up of knockout opponents in the Cup of Harmony, means that many feel the future under Alaba is brighter than it had been under Styrn.

Nevertheless, Alaba's foreign passport hasn't enamoured him to Audioslavian fans who were already annoyed at him for managing a Zozi side that so often crushed their teams' dreams in domestic football.

This team
Yes, it's five at the back, yes, Alaba is conforming to Audioslavian football's natural defensiveness, perhaps overly so, but it's not just a parked bus. Wing-backs Mata-Curie and Larrea both maraud forward when possible, and the back three often contains Reuben Corkhill, a midfielder for his club, and occasional full-back Everton Bolding.
Furthermore, top strikers Helios Roy and Wilhelm Zendagorta have been deployed together after years of the Bulls opting for just one player up front. Both men started out their career as attacking midfielders. In other words: Audioslavia's supposed 'best eleven' contains nine players who initially broke onto the scene as midfielders. This is a side that can keep possession in midfield if necessary, just like AC Izotz Zubia used to. Whether they can do that well is still to be seen.

  • Helios Roy has become the fulcrum of the side's attack. First-person accounts of games are usually written through his eyes.
  • Wilhelm Hielscher-Zendagorta, a half-Audioslavian, half-Teus striker with caps for Siovanija and Teusland. S+T's departure from international football freed the striker up to represent another national team, according to the Valrauncion rule, and has duly been selected for Audioslavia. Styrn has generally opted for either Zendagorta or Roy up front, shying away from putting both strikers on the pitch at once.
  • Valerién Tibère and Gabriel Buvalelli are both Savigliano players who have been awarded Audioslavian passports following their claim for asylum after the dissolution of their home nation. Both have been selected due to the Valrauncion rule. The former is one of the most dependable centre halves in the league, while former FC Riziéres and Shamrock Cathair midfielder Buvalelli has been a star midfielder in the National League for nine seasons now.

Home shirt is traditionally worn with white shorts and socks, but if our opponents are wearing that colour then we switch to the same deep red as the shirts. This is what usually ends up happening. Dark green or black shorts have been worn on occasion.

Shorts for our change strip will be either purple (away), white (away, third) or Anaia Green (third)

THE SEEKERS

The 'Evermark national football team', calling themselves the Seekers, have arrived at the CAFA determined to secure a result, which they consider a sacred duty. This is Evermark's first official tournament, though they are adamant in claiming that they, or at least their people, have previously won a World Cup. While some players have started to prove themselves abroad, they retain a determination to call up at least one player per 'Pride'.

Contact was made by an ethnography team from a number of universities. The result of their studies of the first Evermarker season, and a number of their customs, can be found here. The ethnography team have continued to operate as the Evermarkers' go-between with civilisation, and effectively sponsored their arrival in the CAFA.

The Seekers will take to the field in green shirts and black shorts, with an all-white change strip and an all-orange or all-indigo goalkeeper strip. While their kits and boots are rudimentary by modern standards, they are fairly functional.

Perilous Sapphire regards this as the last chance for the original generations to accomplish anything of note.

Evermark's opponents have permission to do anything short of a godmod.

STYLE: -2
FORMATION:[/b] 4-4-2
Image
Used to a permissive refereeing style in their homeland, Evermarkers play an unrelentingly physical and dirty style of play, regarding this as their most likely way of acquiring the sacred Result. Used to being on the receiving end of such play, their attacking combinations are very direct, often bypassing the midfield. Without exception, their players are strong and athletic, though lacking many sport science innovations integral to the modern game such as cryotherapy or doping. After defeat, they will fast the night in penance, which does carry the risk of a protracted losing streak; after victory, they drink themselves into a stupor, carrying its own risks.

Perilous Sapphire has at times come dangerously close to unorthodox thought, last CAFA often opting for a 4-4-2 where one of the 'strikers' was, to all intents and purposes, a midfielder. This will be tolerated only so long as it is successful.

MANAGER
Perilous Sapphire - Age 45
Sapphire earned her post after bringing unexpected glory to the Valiant. She respects the sport deeply and hopes to learn much from the tournament. She's already shown a dangerous instinct for innovation.

GOALKEEPERS
1 - GK - Thylacine Nemeth - Age 22 - Argus Wild Arms (EOT)
Nemeth played for some time as a left-back, but his conversion to goalkeeper late in his teenage years has been remarkably successful. Though an indifferent shot-stopper, his ability to surge off his line to throw opponents off is remarkable.

12 - GK - Merry Cassalei - Age 30 - Pristine
An avid feaster, drinker and boaster, Cassalei cuts a generous figure between the posts but lunges for the ball with a deceptive agility. There's a low-key ferocity behind those sleepy eyes. Easily the best goalkeeper in Evermark, but poor compared to much of the rest of the team.

20 - GK - Prudent Tathale - Age 33 - Watchful
An unremarkable backup goalkeeper, Tathale was selected to represent one of the weaker Prides. Her job is to sit quietly at the back and not cause trouble.

DEFENDERS
2 - RB - Costil Weary Eyes - Age 29 - Creston Wolves (COR)
A young and promising contestant, though one who carries an oddly world-weary look. Costil hails from an ancient and honoured line of ferret-herds, so merely corralling wingers is child's play.

3 - LB - Aniseed Connell - Age 31 - Diligent
A darting, clever fullback, Connell is derided by many in Evermark for his seeming reluctance to merely scythe down his opponents, rather trying to win the ball fairly.

4 - CB - Gerhard Beacon - Age 34 - Paragon
Gerhard stands firm in defence and sets a good example to the rest of the team. He is appallingly slow, but the team's conservative low block should at least look to cover for this.

5 - CB - Seneca Creeksifter - Age 24 - Valiant
A wild thylacine attack has left Seneca with a slight but permanent limp. She will always be one of the slowest players on the pitch, but she overcame any fear her career in the Rites might be over thanks in part to her remarkable sense of anticipation and in part due to her propensity for full-throated violence.

16 - RB - Rascal Annika - Age 29- Inspired
A young woman of promise, Annika is one of the few attack-minded fullbacks in Evermark, making up for her courageous forward runs by cynically fouling anyone who gets behind her.

18 - CB - Silent Matthis - Age 32 - Resplendent
Matthis lets his football do the talking. Or, at least, what he does on the pitch; one time, he bit a chunk of flesh off a man's calf. A respected man of honour.

22 - LB - Cutter Petrus - Age 23 - Erudite
Scruffy, wiry and lethal in close quarters, Petrus' trade as one of Evermark's finest hunters of stray thylacines has made him one of the peoples' sharpest and most badly-scarred players at the Rites.

24 - CB - Garnet Stephi - Age 24 - Watchful
Short for an Evermarker, let alone a centre-half, Stephi's success at the Rites is chiefly down to her willingness to wrestle people to the ground in a manner frowned upon by international refereeing standards.

MIDFIELDRS
6 - DM - Elena Oaktree - Age 30 - Resplendent
Slow and strong, as her honourific suggests, Elena has a languid grace in possession that livens up even the very physically focused, grinding and direct Rites.

8 - CM - Torches Kessler - Age 33 - Sanford Der Berg PREMIER FK (ZRH)
A bold and hard-running midfielder who has already passed between three victorious Prides, Kessler's honourific comes for his raging temper.

10 - RM - Fixed-wing Caspar - Age 30 - Aspirant
The fastest man in the league, Caspar's lack of other discernable attributes or virtues does little to hold him back in a competition of that calibre.

11 - LM - Virile Harker - Age 25 - Resplendent
Harker has sired countless children for the sake of the Evermarker people, but it has never slowed him down on the pitch. He has pace, brains and brawn in equal measure, though he is no technician.

13 - RM - Kalenz Rhinohide - Age 28 - Dauntless
A relative latecomer to the rites, Kalenz proved his right to compete by slaying a bear with tooth and nail alone. Admired for his ferocity more than his ability to hit a cross.

14 - CM - Spindle Idina - Age 31 - Ardent
Idina despises her pathetically weak Pride, the Ardent, though it is that Pride's very weakness that meant she was a certain callup for the Seekers. She craves the opportunity to prove herself abroad, but it is doubtful she is of the requisite quality.

19 - LM - Sparkling Ingrid - Age 27 - Gilded City Dragons (COR)
Considered something of an iconoclast in Evermarker circles, Ingrid once made the bold suggestion that the permissive refereeing at the Rites was contributing to the sport's brutal attrition rates. That she has been called up despite her moral failings speaks much of her talent.

23 - DM - Hard-nosed Carsten - Age 32 - Outcast
The leading committer of fouls and accumulator of yellow cards in the Rites, Carsten has earned much honour and credibility for his work. He is a thug, and admired for it.

25 - AM - Relentless Andre - Age 27 - Paragon
The closest thing in Evermark to a traditional playmaker, Andre is notorious for his refusal to run; he is one of the few whose honourific appears to be completely ironic.

26 - CM - Kris Sweetling - Age 23 - Dauntless
The ethnography team is yet to work out the deal with Kris, who remains for the most part under wraps.

FORWARDS
7 - ST - Leif Nine Fingers - Age 29 - Carrington PREMIER (TLI)
A scarred, handsome striker, who is believed one of the likeliest to earn a foreign contract. His name is no metaphor, one finger having been eaten by a rabid thylacine. 12 goals last season made him the Rites' top scorer.

9 - ST - Hilda Rockbiter - Age 23 - Outcast
Hulking, overweight and nasty to have to take on in a fight, Hilda's lack of fitness, terrible attitude and blatant disobedience of team orders may at times be made up for by her eye for goal and unbeatable aerial ability... at least in a league that doesn't penalise swinging elbows.

15 - ST - Promiscuous Emerjade - Age 30 - Paragon
Emerjade is reputed to have slept with most of the rest of her Pride, a feat regarded solemnly as proof of immense passion, stamina and willingness to build team chemistry.

17 - ST - Umber Ruskin - Age 27 - Ardent
Short, powerful and pugnacious, Ruskin is respected by his willingness to battle with defenders, using his low centre of gravity to get an edge.

21 - ST - Ziska Longshanks - Age 32 - Pristine
One of the most dangerous forwards in Evermark, Ziska carries much of the team's goalscoring hopes, but carries a significant badge of shame having once been caught diving for a penalty. After a priest broke her legs to make penance, her moniker now carries a rather cruelly ironic bent.

Signups updated to Evermark. CAFA rankings have also been updated reflecting the latest KPB rankings, which can alter your CAFA ranking by up to 1 point (which is 10% of the maximum rank).

The soft deadline for host bids has now passed with no bids. As a result, the deadline will remain at 72 hours after the first host bid posted by someone who has also submitted a roster.
Don't forget to submit your host bids if you're interested in running this edition of the CAFA. An example of a host bid that was ultimately successful can be found in the OP of this thread. It's a unique and interesting example, but don't feel that you have to be 'weird' or have a 'gimmick' to bid to host the competition.

THE FEDERAL REPUBLIC OF ESTORVIPA AND ESTORPIVA
NATIONAL FOOTBALL TEAM

The Federal Republic of Estorvipa and Estorpiva is a federal union between two states, the Federation of Estorvipa and the Republic of Estorpiva, created on 22 November 2019 after the two states agreed to unite together and present a combined front against the other rebel sides in the Estorian Civil War. The Federal Republic is backed by the Democratic People's Republic of the United Socialist States of Pridnestrovia (or just Pridnestrovia for short), which was an ally of the old Estorvipan People's Republic before it collapsed into numerous competing factions and states, and Pridnestrovia decided that the Federal Republic was the most stable nation-state that they could support in this war. But despite being backed by a "socialist" nation and adopting some socialist imagery, the Federal Republic is a democratic republic with free and fair elections for the 27 million people under its governance, and its ultimate aim is to reunite the Vipan and Pivan lands peacefully, but if the Federal Republic must use force to restore peace and order in the land then it will certainly do so.

BASIC INFORMATION
Name of nation: Federal Republic of Estorvipa and Estorpiva
Demonym: Estorian
Team colors: Yellow. blue, and red
Style modifier: -2.00
Formation: 4-2-3-1
Head coach: Branislav Vinogradovsky (62 y/o, male, Pridnestrovia)

STARTERS
GK: Sashka VIDANOVA 34 y/o, female, FK Spartak Rybolovlev (Estorvipa and Estorpiva)
She's just setting the Federal Top League alight with the number of crazy save highlights she produces game by game. She's pretty much a younger female version of Fiodor Enin with the way she stops shots and rushes at opposing forwards, and she is expected to alternate games with Enin after Traian Pantilimon has played his one and only game for the Federal Republic.

RB: Aleksey KHOKHLOV 24 y/o, male, FK Traktor St. Paulsburg (Estorvipa and Estorpiva)
Adequate defender, good pace

RCB: Dencho TIMNEV 28 y/o, male, Ufa Verkhovyansk (Pridnestrovia)
He's an excellent defender by any means, capable of either helping play the ball out of the back or keeping up with those fast and tricky forwards trying to bear down on the Estorian goal. His only downside is that he is nowhere near as good in the air as he is on the ground which, for someone as tall as he is (at 177 cm) is a bit of a liability on the pitch.

LCB: Dzyamid USHKEVICH 28 y/o, male, Metallurgist Beledor (Pridnestrovia)
Under most circumstances, he wouldn't be able to make the national teams of most other nations, but given that the Federal Republic is in need of players to represent it on the international stage, Ushkevich has been given the chance to prove himself worthy of representing this new state to the rest of the world. He can defend, he can head the ball, and he can dribble his way out of a few sticky situations, but he's still a bit too raw to start a game in most cases.

LB: Holden KRASTENKOVIC 28 y/o, male, Exiles FK (Pridnestrovia)
Another Vipan refugee who fled to Pridnestrovia after the first withdrawal of Pridnestrovian troops from Estorian lands due to the Treaty of Kotelnirovo. He was originally from the northern city of Tarkovska, now the de facto capital of the Estorvipan Commune, and had made the arduous journey to the Pridnestrovian-occupied south on foot, evading Communard and Imperial military patrols in order to secure a ride to Pridnestrovia alongside other refugees and pro-leftist Vipans and Pivans seeking to flee the Estorian nation before the Communards enacted their anti-leftist purges. Despite having never picked up a football before in his life, he was recruited to Exiles FK, where he has surprisingly developed into an average defender with brilliant pace and average passing skills.

RM: Rahmatullo RODIN 29 y/o, male, Masyafspor (Pridnestrovia)
He is everything that Arseniy Davydov is: a brilliant playmaker with a keen eye for both his teammates and the goal who can also put in defensive shifts if needed. The only reason why Davydov is starting over Rodin is because Davydov is a more polished and complete player than Rodin right now, but now we know what Rodin could look like once he becomes the finished product. In the meantime, he will have to operate deeper in the midfield in order to develop the defensive side of his game, although given his age some might say that this is a case of trying to teach an old dog new tricks.

LM: Serafina POTRITSKIJ 30 y/o, female, Exiles FK (Pridnestrovia) (vice-captain)
Her main function in the midfield is to distribute the ball and take the occasional pot shot at goal if given the chance. She can run back and help in the defense if needed, but her primary function is to spread the ball around the pitch for the attacking Estorian players to latch onto and put the goal under threat. If the ball happens to end up right back on her feet during that sequence then she has license to fire a shot on target or pass to another teammate to start the cycle anew.

RW: ROBERTO Kunaplenko 28 y/o, male, Exiles FK (Pridnestrovia)
Twin brother of Roberta Kunaplenko. He is the son of the former Estorvipan ambassador to the Sultanate of Oontaz, Venyamin Kunaplenko, who fell in love with a local woman whom he would eventually marry. The Kunaplenkos had been living quietly in Rybolovlev when the Pridnestrovian intervention in the Estorian Civil War happened, and the family soon fell under suspicion because of good relations between the Sultanate of Oontaz and Pridnestrovia. The Kunaplenko family fled to Pridnestrovia alongside the first withdrawal of Pridnestrovian troops, and the twins were recruited to play for Exiles FK alongside other Vipan and Pivan refugees. He is a fast winger with incredible pace and outstanding technique but has a marked inability to cross the ball into the box. This is in contrast to his twin sister who is a faster winger and better crosser but can't escape out of a sticky situation.

CAM: Rada Mladenova KOSTOVA 30 y/o, female, CSK Armiya Supskij (Estorvipa and Estorpiva)
She is a very good playmaker who can make things happen from the middle of the pitch. Her good passing and solid pace also means that she can put in a defensive shift if needed, but she is really more suited to orchestrating attacks on the opponent. However, the less said about her ability to put the ball into the back of the net, the better.

LW: ROBERTA Kunaplenko 28 y/o, female, Exiles FK (Pridnestrovia)
Twin sister of Roberto Kunaplenko. She is the daughter of the former Estorvipan ambassador to the Sultanate of Oontaz, Venyamin Kunaplenko, who fell in love with a local woman whom he would eventually marry. She is a very fast winger with outstanding pace and average playmaking ability but can't escape out of a sticky situation. This is in contrast to her twin brother who has incredible pace and outstanding technique but also a marked inability to cross the ball into the box.

ST: Fabian PRASUTAGUSIC 32 y/o, male, Exiles FK (Pridnestrovia)
He is pretty much the star player for this Estorian team. He personally refused to recognize any of the other warring factions in the Estorian Civil War as legitimate, and he was of the opinion that the northern Estorvipan Commune was nothing but a bunch of blood traitors willing to sell out themselves and their own country in exchange for favors from the Imperium. He was a product of CSKA Tiraspol's academy, and while he was nothing special in the Army Club, he had turned into a superstar striker once he moved to Exiles FK, and he looks to replicate this performance for the Estorian national team.

RESERVES
GK: Yaroslav SHCHETININ 27 y/o, male, FK Mamai Ihorovtsi (Estorvipa and Estorpiva)
The future of the Estorian goalkeeping position looks very bright with him in between the sticks. He's already doing the job for Mamai Ihorovtsi, and local managers are praising him for his divine goalkeeping skills. His only weakness is that his passing is a bit poor, and opponents might be able to take advantage of that once he plays for the national team.

GK: Gleb PAROV 24 y/o, male, FK Traktor St. Paulsburg (Estorvipa and Estorpiva)
An excellent keeper for his age and has loads of pace which allows him to charge out of his box to intimidate opposing strikers, but has poor stamina which means that he might start sticking around his area as the game goes on.

DF: Vasilisa BERDYUGINA 22 y/o, female, FK Spartak Rybolovlev (Estorvipa and Estorpiva)
Weak defender, adequate passing

DF: Viktorija KESOVIJA 25 y/o, female, FK Mamai Ihorovtsi (Estorvipa and Estorpiva)
She is a solid defender with adequate technique in her to help her get out of sticky situations when needed, and she is also a reasonable goalscoring threat during set pieces, or if she happens to get the ball somewhere outside the box in open play. However, she does have a weakness, and that is her pace. It's easy for her to get caught out of position sometimes, and because she knows that she can't get back in time, she will often resort to fouling the opposition instead.

DF: Markus KRASNENKO 31 y/o, male, Exiles FK (Pridnestrovia)
He is a Vipan refugee who used to live in St. Paulsburg and played for a semi-professional football side in the city before the Estorian Civil War. He was originally conscripted into the Estorvipan People's Army, but his regiment defected to Field Marshal Petar Antonic's Estorvipan Liberation Army near the beginning of the civil war. He surrendered to the Pridnestrovian Army after teh end of the Battle of St. Paulsburg and took advantage of the offer of asylum extended by the Pridnestrovians in the aftermath of the Treaty of Kotelnirovo. He was soon signed by Exiles FK where he made a name of himself as a good defender, but his pace and technique are definitely lacking compared to other defenders in the Pridnestrovian league system.

DF: Nicu Marian RĂILEANU 28 y/o, male, FK Spartak Rybolovlev (Estorvipa and Estorpiva)
All the necessary elements for a solid and outstanding wingback are all there; all he really needs to do now is to gain experience in both club and international football and he's going to be playing under the colors of the Federal Republic of years to come. But until then, he will have to make do with some appearances from the bench.

MF: Ignjatije ATANACKOVIĆ 26 y/o, male, FK Traktor St. Paulsburg (Estorvipa and Estorpiva)
He may be young but he's already got the makings of a very good central midfielder within him. He can make things happen from almost anywhere on the pitch, and he has the speed to both attack the goal and defend his own side if needed. If only he didn't get gassed so easily then maybe he could make a case for being included in the starting eleven more times than not.

MF: Kresimir TASIĆ 19 y/o, male, FC Cavaleri Urodorasul (Estorvipa and Estorpiva)
Good playmaker, adequate technique, good passing

MF: Ashot RAZINSKIJ 24 y/o, male, CSK Armiya Supskij (Estorvipa and Estorpiva)
The jack-of-all-trades had been placed on the left side because of his wicked good left foot. With that left foot he could pick out any player he wanted, dribble his way out of trouble, or even nick the ball off of anyone trying to get through to the Estorian goal on the left side, and even score the occasional goal.

FW: Viktoriya ZALUZHENKO 25 y/o, female, FC Foc Feuerstadt (Estorvipa and Estorpiva)
At a young age, she's already making a name for herself in the small and nascent Federal Top League of the Federal Republic. She has the accuracy and the fancy footwork to set her up for a good future in football, but apart from those skills, she still needs to develop a lot more before she can start thinking about pursuing a starting spot.

FW: Marek LEMISH 28 y/o, male, FC Dinamo Durdenville (Estorvipa and Estorpiva)
He's a very good striker; there's no denying that. But the problem is that Fabian Prasutagusic is even better than him, and there are also some things that Lemish will need to work on if he wishes to become a success in this Estorian team; things such as his stamina and passing. Other than that, he's actually a remarkably good player.

FW: Petru-Iustin UDEANU 24 y/o, male, FK Dinamo Durdenville (Estorvipa and Estorpiva)
An average striker whose main job is to just be there to receive the ball and shoot at goal when it gets passed to him. He can dribble his way out of trouble if need be, but if he needs to spend more than a few seconds thinking about where to shoot then it's a guaranteed miss or save from the keeper once he finally pulls the trigger.

Initials, Name, Position, Age, Team, Place of Birth

Staff

JD – Richard VALENS - Manager – Image

Team

Playing in the following formation: GK | DL DC DC DR | MC MC MC | SC SC SC

The first player(s) named in each area of the team start the game. Our line-up will broadly be as follows (unless you RP one of our players has an injury or something):

GK: Softstep
DsL-R: Sandman, Newcomer, D'Entro, Featherborn
MCs: Mikkels, Midday, Bridgebuilder
SCs: Builder, Gibson, Lucksmith

Further information on the players is below if it is required and/or of interest.

Number, Name, Position, Age, Place of Birth, Club
All players male (He/Him) unless specified

Goalkeepers - 3

1 – Leora SOFTSTEP - GK – 29 – Cerrston, Juniper Island Image – Juniper Mournhow F.C. Image
She/Her
Leora's place of birth is noted as Cerrston, when in fact she was born on one of the ships carrying Bostopians to their new home in the Ochres. That it happened to dock in Cerrston, where her family settled, was just luck. Her parents chose a new surname after watching their child take her first furtitive steps outside, wanting to ditch their old Bostopian name. While there is some doubts over her ability to play as an international goalkeeper, her ability to read the game makes up for a lack of height (comparative to other top-flight goalkeepers at least) and fans joke that it seems she knows where the ball will go before the striker does.
12 - Eric BIRDTENDER - GK – 28 – Nuntsby, Handsby Island Image – Bellflower A.U. Image
Birdtender is Bellflower A.U.'s current number two goalkeeper, but has impressed in cup games (which he regularly starts) enough to make the national side. His parents were fundamental in the study of native species in the Ochres, and his surname was later chosen to reflect this.
13 - Marcus NATURAL - GK – 21 – Fringilla, Chaffinch Island Image – Cottsworth City Image
Having excelled as a goalkeeper from an early age in Fringilla, Natural's surname came naturally to him following glowing reports from his coaches on the way up.The only thing holding him back from number one status is Softstep's superior foresight.

Defenders - 7
15 - Harry SANDMAN – DL – 26 – Slipsway, Chaffinch Island Image – Slipsway Town F.C. Image
The youngest member of the squad, only just turning 16 in time for the first qualifying game, Harry Sandman is the first player in any Ochre national squad to be born on Chaffinch Island. Adopting his surname from his love of running on the beach, he tends to be more of a sweeper than a proper centre half, being able to quickly take care of opponents passes into the box before they cause too much harm. His pace and stamina also allows him to play as a makeshift right wing-back, but his crosses come across as clearances more often than not.
6 – Arto NEWCOMER - DC – 32 – Lander's Port, Mournhow Island Image – Nottshore Turquoise F.C. Image
Arto Newcomer was born mere days after the first ships began arriving in the Ochre Islands from Bostopia. His parents immediately changed their – and his – family name on arrival in the islands, so his heritage beyond that is unknown. Arto, whilst young, is a regular feature in the back line of Nottshore Turquoise and integral to keeping them in the top division of Ochre football.
2 - Louis D'ENTRO -Vice-Captain - DC – 29 – Bellflower, Mournhow Island Image – Cottsworth City Image
Louis was born in what was known then as 'New Ranton', which was the name of the capital of the Bostopian Ochre Islands prior to independence. He is one of the better players in Cottsworth's side, who are regular title contenders in the Ochre League Division One.
16 - Lucy FEATHERBORN- DR – 27 – City of Louisa, Hope Island Image – Schemerdrecht SVV Image
She/Her
Featherborn currently plies her trade at right-back for Schemerdrecht SVV, having left her hometown team Louisa Hope F.C. for the Ko-oren side. Complaints from journalists that she could have gone to a team 'easier to spell quickly' exist though are simply batted away as 'whinging'. Pacy and versatile, she is more likely to try and beat her opponent with the ball at her feet rather than pass around them. She already displays a range of passing that could see her propelled into the midfield, whether on the wing or in the middle should her development continue at the pace it is.
3 - Michael WATERTON - DL – 19 – Endswick, Handsby Island Image – Nottshore Turquoise Image
Waterton comes from a small hamlet just outside Endwick called 'Waterton', which his father named when he first settled the area and is set on building a new town there. Wanting to stay local and help his family, Waterton has turned down offers from larger clubs to stay with Nottshore Turquoise, who are based on his home island of Handsby.
5 - Julen GORGEWALKER – DR – 23 – Bellflower Image – West Bellflower F.C. Image
Amongst a very fit, professional squad, Gorgewalker is probably the fittest player on the team, largely in part due to his enjoyment of walking along the many gorges that make up the Ochre hinterland. Employed as a wing-back by West Bellflower, Gorgewalker displays many fine qualities going forward and in defence.
4 – Daniela o.t. STREAMCARERS – DC – 24 – Florindia, Dracaena Image – Miradela GD Image
She/her
Daniela of the Streamcarers is the oldest player in the squad to be making their Ochre debut at a major tournament. Whilst the Ochres is making great strides towards equality of the sexes, on a football pitch women are still expected to show they can match the males in strength to play in the male-dominated professional leagues. Thus, whilst having natural defending ability, she has had to work harder than a lot of the men to claim her position within the national defensive group at all. In order to get more playing time and show some of the olds around the national side she is capable, Daniela has had to move away from her clan and is now playing for Miradela GD in Ko-oren.

Midfielders - 8
11 - Joseph MIKKELS - MC – 32 – Hilltop – Lower Soffsley Image
17 - Nate MIDDAY - MC – 22 – Westlands, Anley – Acrestry Town Image
Midday's is a holding midfielder who currently playes for Acrestry Town in the first division of Ochre football. He is known as a dead-ball specialist as well as having the skills needed to play in the centre of midfield at a high level.
14 - Luca BRIDGEBUILDER - MC – 16 – Aguaclara, Cardenao Image – Bellflower A.U. Image
Bridgebuilder is the shining star of Bellflower A.U. XI's youth academy and currently plies his trade in the first team in the Ochre First Division. Born on a small island in Cardenao to two Ochre Island parents, he is the second dual-Anaian citizen to play for the Ochre Islands. As well as football, Bridgebuilder also has a strong interest in diplomatic relations and is already tipped for a political career once his still-young playing days are over.
15 - Mick BASING - DMC – 29 – Sennaton – Bellflower A.U. XI Image
8 - Harry LEWIS - MC – 31 – Port Flamerty – Nuntsby City Image
18 - Adrien WITHLINENS - AMC – 22 – Flenham, Mournhow – Fringilla A.F.C. Image
Withlinens is a player who should begin to excel under Richard Valens, willing to throw himself forward at a moments notice to turn a three person front-line into four people, as well as provide defence-splitting passes from the midfield.
20 - Eliot SUNTELLER - D/MC – 17 – Renhold, Mournhow Image – Lansdorn F.C. Image
Sunteller is a promising young footballer brought along to CAFA 6 to give him some experience on the regional stage before possibly making the WC94 squad. His mother, a follower of Byerxys and noted soothsayer raised him on her own from young following his father's untimely passing. Sunteller currently plays for Lansdorn, where whilst he makes a good number of appearances from the bench, clearly shows a lot of promise and potential.

Strikers - 5
9 - Rory BUILDER - SC – 27 – Kollingdon, Handsby Island Image – Valesthorpe Image
Rory is the youngest of the Ochre-born players, having been born a mere day or two after his parents reached Kollingdon following their migration to the Ochres from Fenton State. Whilst still largely bench-warming for Valesthorpe, the national team can see his promise and are taking him to CAFA3 in the hopes of giving him international experience in low-pressure situations.
22 - Blue GIBSONCaptain - SC – 34 – Acorn Wood – Juniper Monnstair Image
She/Her
Blue Gibson is the first Bostopian-born female player to ever represent her country in an international football tournament. Whilst there have been female managers of the Bostopian national team, Blue was seen as a 'once-in-a-lifetime' footballing talent that the OIFA could find no reason, legally or otherwise, to exclude her from the national team. It was her second goal of the CAFA final which had sealed the Ochres 3 – 1 win over Saltstead with 3 minutes remaining of the 90. Blue also scored the winning goal to send the Ochre Islands to the World Cup finals for the first time. Blue enters CAFA 6 as her final farewell to international football despite controversy that she might be taking a squad place from a younger player, though her promotion to full captaincy between World Cup 93 and CAFA 6 did help to cement her position. Gibson moves to the central striking position for CAFA 6 to take advantage of her exceptional positioning off the ball.
19 – Carl-James (C.J.) LUCKSMITH - SC – 23 – Hannston, Jensee Island Image – Lionsville Transport Sports Club Image
Despite playing for a smaller Ochre side, sitting in the 4th tier of the football league, C.J. has excelled and proven himself at a high level thanks to helpful cup draws against much better teams projecting his abilities on the national stage. While football at the lower levels is a bit more rough and ready than the higher divisions, he has always been able to hold his own against strong defenders despite his young age, and their willingness to let him know they're there.

7 - Copse CLEAREDWAY - SC – 29 – Callais, Jensee Island Image – Slipsway Town Image
Copse Clearedway was born in Callais, which is on one of the smaller Ochre Islands of Jensee. He is first-choice striker for Slipsway Town, a mid-table side in the first division of domestic Ochre football. However for the Ochre national team, he is more likely to be played in the hole between attack and midfielder to give us a significant threat just outside the area, as well as knowing where a striker would want a ball playing to them.
10 - Kallum NORTHBROOK - SC – 22 – Altarton, Mournhow Image – Bellflower A.U. Image
Northbrook is an enterprising striker who usually plays as part of a two-man attack at Bellflower, which is most likely why he is on the bench for the national side.
21 - Jimmy TWONAMES - SC – 23 – Unsley, Juniper Image – Juniper Monnstair Image
Twonames plies his trade for his home island team, Juniper Monnstair, and is usually found playing as an inside forward. He joins the Ochre squad looking to break into the national team on a regular basis.

Kits & Logo

Home, Away and Third

ImageImageImage

The Ochre Islands kits were designed and manufactured by OchreSport, with input from the Ochre Islands Football Association.
The home kit is the traditional striped ochre, blue and white scheme.
The away kit is a continuation of the popular 'Anaiaway' theme promoted by the OIFA, which they say 'promotes peace & harmony and reminds us that whilst we may be in an away kit, the Anaia region is still our home'.
The third kit represents a theoretical sunrise over the beautiful Sunset Sea, as seen from the Sunset Coast, which of course faces westwards.
Before CAFA 2, the Ochre Islands Football Association ran a competition to design the team's logo, which was won by a 34 year old man with neither design experience or taste. Fortunately, an update of the design to account for taste was commissioned and outsourced by the OIFA, which is as below. The badge prominently features a 'little mint green hat', which actually commerorates the Ochre Islands victory in the second CAFA tournament.

Image

The Ochre Islands play a possession-based style of football which aims to prevent the opposition from scoring by simply not letting them have the ball. While we will prefer safer passes, the players generally have a good sense of when a chance is 'on' and will play balls with added risk involved where necessary.

Bostopia absolutely has a domestic sports league and none of the players below are either fictitious or indeed makings entirely of your own imagination. We would tell you more about it, but it's in Bostopia so you wouldn't know them.

GK - Richard Lyons
DL - Michael Smith
DC - Harry Perk
DC - Gordon Richards
DR - Jake Wilkinson
ML - Bryan Harper
MC - Steven Kairs
MC - James McDadson
MR - Simon Manson
SC - Lynton Pilson
SC - Frank Rover

Subs:

GK - Dean Walters
DL/C - Miles Embridge
DR - Sam Leenton
ML - Ryan Wasting
MC - Philip Nicholls
MC/R - Kevin Grainger
SC - Walter Ambridge

The above players, should they exist, will play a very direct 4-4-2 and be absolutely unapologetic about it, especially if your goalkeeper is dangerously off his, her, or their line.

Home, Away, and Third

ImageImageImage

The kits are self explanatory – they are the shirt designs that all ten of our outfield players will wear (and also the substitutes when entering the field). They will all wear the same shirt design at the same time. If your team is not designated as the home team, and your colours clash with ours, jolly well change your kits to an alternative.

I suppose that for purposes of CAFA, Bostopia is a puppet of the Ochre Islands somehow. We have received no compensatory grilled meats or lightly steamed vegetables despite vehement protests.

THE ROSTER

When RP'ing, the name of my players in ITALICS are the names on their kit and the name professional commentators would primarily call out when making observations. Those in BOLD are the national team starters UNLESS otherwise stated in a preceding RP.

Image
1- Ray Holland
Height: 6'3 - Weight: 194lbs – Age: 33 - Registry: #1 - Team: Cardonia FC

The best goalkeeper in Cardenao since his debut at 16, the sun is setting for this lion. Ray Holland will forever be in the registry as our first ever player, and he’s been immense every single match. He stands tall at 6'3 and has perfected the ability of closing the angle to make him dominant within his box, while his strength, bravery, and vertical leap help him claim crosses and corners. What more could you want from your national team's starting goalkeeper? He's also tidy with his feet to help facilitate Cardenao’s possession based play but he’s not exactly capable of pinging precise 45 yard passes. He’s done as well as you could hope for a goalkeeper for a new nation going up against the best teams in the world, running with the national team since the 78th Baptism of Fire, but how much more he can go remains to be seen.

12- Iñaki Pena
Height: 6'5 - Weight: 206lbs – Age: 22 - Registry: #23 - Team: Bananada CF

While still young as goalkeepers go, Iñaki Pena has been starting for Bananada CF since he was 18 years old. The lad has been totally brilliant for them, with his height, quick reflexes, and natural goalkeeping abilities making him a well-rounded player. In his early days he had some form issues with long range passing and goal kicks, but he put in the time and effort to turn those into strengths for him. Pena showed his strengths against some of the best teams in the world in the Cardenao Cup, and with Ray Holland nearing the end of his playing days, Iñaki will be giving 110% every training session to try and win the starting spot.

Left Defenders:
Image
2- Hendrix Salvadore
Height: 180cm - Weight: 84kg – Age: 29 - Registry: #2 - Team: Pria City (CMT)

Hendrix Salvadore is a modern, all-purpose leftback with good footwork, bags of speed, and good enough defensive positioning and solid transition play with accurate crosses. Hendrix has been a consistently reliable player for the Blue and Golds, putting in solid shifts in both attack and defense, and helping facilitate offensive movements as his ten assists shows. Hendrix is a party monster, always seen out in town until the morning hours, and national team fans will undoubtedly be concerned with how much time he’s spending with wonderkid Chímo Ventura.

13- Moustir-Yves Almeny
Height: 5’11 - Weight: 162lbs– Age: 19 - Registry: #27 - Team: Escuela Nacíonal DCPF

A fast, agile leftback who’s one of the best teenage Cardenaoan players, Moustir-Yves Almeny goes it all at left back. Moustir is a solid defender, pushing wingers out towards the touchline and herding them out of bounds, or using his incredible speed to catch a striker. He’s comfortable on the ball, and can dribble through a challenge before sending in a cross or shooting from distance, or he can be a member of patient possession play. He had an incredible debut season, winning the league while starting for Escuela Nacíonal DCPF as an 18 year old before impressing as the leftback during the Cardenao Cup. Look at him now, a boy from poverty in the Cardenao desert to the bench at the World Cup.

Central Defenders
Image
5- Emmanuel Odita
Height: 6'3 - Weight: 197lbs – Age: 25 - Registry: #12 - Team: Schemerdrecht SVV (KOR)

It’s safe to say Emmanuel Odita has fulfilled his potential to become the best Cardenaoan defensive player alive. Built like a man from a young age, Odita packs crunching tackles into his 6'3 frame and his aggressive mentality sees him seek out every opportunity to leave the opponent signed with an Odita bruise. He has a very sharp sense of positioning for his age and won't hesitate to scream at teammates who aren't holding the line. Not only is Emmanuel tall and strongly built, but he is quite quick and rather rapid, darting around the defense and using his defensive skills to shut down any opposing threat.

Odita spends his free time in the gym to refine his strength, video room to improve his mentality, and on the pitch just messing around having fun. He has trained hard on his on the ball abilities and is transforming from an athletically gifted physical hardman to a more refined brute who’s able to play out of defense, a trait certainly needed as the national team comes up against the best teams in the world.

19- Samuel Alcatron
Height: 6'5 - Weight: 191lbs– Age: 25 - Registry: #28 - Team: Escuela Nacíonal DCPF

Samuel Alcatron cuts an elegant figure on the pitch with a wiry 6’5 frame and strong technical skills that see him poke the ball away from the opponent before smartly pinging the ball to an open teammate. He’s fast enough but Sammyboy is a little slow off the starting block, but Alcatron’s strong sense of positioning means he rarely has to sprint to catch up to an opponent. Despite his size, he’s not the strongest player on the team, which is a little concerning when going up against more physical sides. Despite that, Sam Alcatron carries the ball out of the back with confidence, and has the passing and dribbling skills to make him one of the nation’s best in ball progression. Samuel was commanding for La Escuela Nacíonal DCPF in their recent MegaPower League winning season, and that run of form earned him a spot in Cardenao Mihaly Invitational. A string of solid performances at the Invitational secured Alcatron a spot in the World Cup squad and he will be keen to impress as a starter going into the first match.

15- Gelson Mukendi
Height: 5’10 - Weight: 174lbs – Age: 25 - Registry: #29 - Team: Escuela Nacíonal DCPF

Gelson Mukendi is an athletically dominant presence in the centerback position, using his strength, speed, jumping ability, and general agility to make life hell for opposition players. It’s interesting as, at 5’10, he’s a bit shorter than the prototypical centerback but his natural athletic gifts, keen eye for a tackle, and ability to pass the ball out of defense make him a key player for the Alameda Desperados. He does have the occasional lapse in concentration, sometimes keeping opposing forwards onsides with his sloppy movement, but that’s something that can be coached out of the lad.

26- Max Packham
Height: 6’1 - Weight: 189lbs – Age: 25 - Registry: #41 - Team: Cardonia FC

Max Packham is an all-around solid defender. He’s got the size, the powerful build, the aerial ability, decent enough passing, keeps a cool head about him and can get stuck in with some strong tackles. He’s not the best nor particularly elite at any one of those categories, but he’s good enough at all of them and that’s made him a MegaPower League champion with Cardonia FC. He’s been one of the best defenders in the league these last three seasons and will be looking to prove his worth with the national team.

Right Defenders:
Image
3- Salva Perez
Height: 5'10 - Weight: 154lbs – Age: 22 - Registry: #30 - Team: Kitara AA (BNJ)

An energetic young right back, Salva Perez has had two strong seasons for Club Valentino before impressing as the starting rightback in the Cardenao Cup, and has more than earned a spot in the World Cup squad. The 22 year old started his career as a winger before transitioning to his current spot in the backline. He still presents, and prefers to be, an offensive threat with his flairfilled dribbles and passing. Perez goes forward with skill, intelligent movement and strong crossing while also being aware of his positioning in relation to the rest of the defense, and pairs speed with stamina to sprint back to cover a counter attack. He’s not the best tackler in the world and picked up 11 yellow cards for fouls last season, but he’s got plenty of time to perfect his game and he'll be doing so in Banija after a $3.75m move to Kitara AA. With Dylan Mathers retiring from the national team after 75 appearances, Salva Perez has won the starting position and will be aiming to impress.

16- Charlie Montvedi
Height: 5'9 - Weight: 156lbs – Age: 27- Registry: #49 - Team: Cardonia FC

Charlie Montvedi is a typical Cardenaoan fullback, tons of offensive, minimal defense, 100% effort. Well maybe not 100% effort in Charlie Montvedi’s case as he is prone to losing concentration at times, but with his skill in carrying the ball and providing a progressive passing option make him invaluable to Sporting Club November City. The 5’9 wideman possesses some top-level speed and pairs that with clever dribbling and interlocking passing to march the ball up the pitch up the field. He likes staying wide with the ball, overlapping the winger to get the ball near the touchline before firing in a cross. Charlie Montvedi is a solid player who has earned his position on the team.

4- Diego Valenzuela Captain
Height: 6'1 - Weight: 170lbs – Age: 27 - Registry: #5 - Team: Tikariot FC (TKT)

A strong defensive midfielder, Diego Valenzuela commands play from his position in the heart of midfield. With fantastic passing over all distances, Val has always dictated tempo with a calm, calculating approach to the game that would lend itself well to a battlefield, let alone a football pitch. Now a veteran player, Valenzuelas defensive positioning is better than ever and his teammates can always look to him for leadership and motivation. After doing everything he could for his childhood Juacuacanos Silver Surfers, Diego V accepted a $5.5m move to the Tikariot Premier League.

With the induction of Giampietro Vera as a ball-progressing midfielder next to him, Diego Valenzuela adopted a more defensive posture within the National Team setup and has played the role excellently. He operated as a sort of defensive-minded quarterback, shoring up the midfield and pinging out accurate long range passes and keeping things running smoothly. The vice-captain of the team from the 78th Baptism of Fire through the 92nd World Cup, he has been handed the Captain's armband after Dylan Mathers voluntarily stepped down from the role heading into the 84th Cup of Harmony.

When not playing football, Diego is a hobbyist racing driver. 'Something about the combination of speed, movement, changing environment, the non-stop calculations going into all of it' are what drive him to paraphrase his own words. Interesting stuff. Val recently married his high school sweetheart Selena Marchiaza and is frequently seen touring around Cardenao with her.

8- Haritz Larrainzar Vice-Captain
Height: 5'9 - Weight: 152lbs – Age: 28 - Registry: #8 - Team: Port Rhovanyon AFC (TKT)

A complete technical midfielder, Haritz Larranizar plays defense and offense with equal elegance to such a degree that he is the singular best Cardenaoan playing the game today. While Haritz is one of the better passers from the country, what makes him so dangerous is his shooting ability from all distances; he’s regularly one of the league’s highest shooting players and it’s all paid off with back to back titles with Port Rhovanyon, three team of the year selections, and a player of the year award. Oh and X GOALS AND Y ASSITS TO GO WITH IT TO. He is quick, with a good burst of acceleration and high top speed that gets him free in the half-spaces where he is most deadly. Haritz’s slinky off the ball skills make him a nightmare to mark as he’s always active, darting around into pockets of open space.

Such a patient passer, it only makes sense Larrainz likes to participate in the other Cardenian pastime, fishing, when he isn't playing football. He prefers hitting the flooded land-bridge between East and West Cardenao, a memory of a long-passed invader. He really likes techno music, and can be found at various high and low profile raves across Cardenao with his trademark highlighter orange beanie and intentionally terrible fake beards.

6- Lonzo Capiatelli
Height: 6’3 - Weight: 174lbs – Age: 22 - Registry: #32 - Team: Myana (CMT)

Lonzo Capiatelli emerged from obscurity as a teenager to one of the best Cardenaoan midfielders in the world at the age of 22. The former Bananada CF captain has become a household name with his talent in both attack and defense alike. He’s got solid, meaningful dribbling, world class vision and a passing ability to match, he’s got the flair, trickery, and pace of a winger but still knows how to put in a clean tackle, and how to mark a man out of the game. Most importantly, Lonzo Capiatelli knows how to make it all work.

With his skill-set, he can play in any role across the midfield, but just letting him follow his instincts has worked out very well for his club team. He’s a natural leader, a perfectionist, and by all accounts an intelligent and well-spoken young man, Lonzo is the total package. A strong showing in his debut World Cup earned him a high profile move to Myana in Chromatika where he will team up with Laborious Hawk, and after Giampetro Vera’s retirement from the national team, the #6 starting position is his.

11- Jenarío Cervahir
Height: 5'10 - Weight: 152lbs – Age: 24 - Registry: #34 - Team: Real Alegria

The elegant Jenarío Cervahir displays football in all of its beauty, with picture perfect passes, impossibly curving shots, and dribbles past defenders with trickery and flair. With his extreme agility and ability to keep close control of the ball, Jenarío easily slices through defensive lines before slipping a pass through to his teammates. He can pass it short, long, in the air, driven passes, outside of the boot, everything and he’s proven it with 70 assists in 159 MegaPower League appearances. He’s got 36 goals to go with it too, able to score from close up and far out with curving precision. Jenarío is the ultimate professional, doing everything he can to make the most out of his ability and body.

14- Zoltan Keidobika
Height: 5’8 - Weight: 157lbs – Age: 26 - Registry: #25 - Team: Morannon Athletic FC (TIK)

Armed with the Cardenao’s best freekick taking boot and an incredible passing range, Zoltan Keidobika burst onto the scene in the inaugural Cardenaoan MegaPower league season. Strapped with a simple yet effective array of body feints and a signature fake pass rollover move, Zoltan Keidobika’s game is built around the mastery of simple things. He has a great passing range, pinging long balls over the top or drilling short passes to his teammate’s boot, those basic and great dribbling moves, and a total mastery over the freekick arts. Keidobika can score short ones going under the ball, medium distance curling the ball left or right around the wall, and he can score long range dipping ballistic missiles, having scored double-digit freekick goals. He’s not the best defender, both from a technical and physical perspect with his lean 5’8 frame, but the 12 goals and 20 assists in 59 appearances for Morannon Athletic FC in Tikariot shows his strengths.

19- Abwooli Isaza
Height: 6'4 - Weight: 203lbs – Age: 27 - Registry: #13 - Team: Escuela Nacíonal DCPF

Abwooli Isaza is another part-foreign international who has elected to represent the Federal Republic of the Kingdom of Cardenao. With parents from Busukuma in Banija, Abwooli Isaza has always been incredibly physically gifted. A dual sport athlete in high school excelling in gridiron football and track, proper football was only a side-hobby until he realized he could also perform tackles (albeit in a different manner) in the beautiful game as well. With his very aggressive personality, fantastic sense of positioning, timing, and a natural ability to use his long legs to poke the ball away it was only a brief while before Escuela Nacíonal DCPF, Cardenao's premier youth factory, to pick him up and hone his talents. He showed a big improvement on his technical skills this season for La Escuela, looking less like an athletic destroyer and more like a well-rounded box to box player as La Escuela lifted the MegaPower League title.

Thanks to his killer attitude in the weight room, training ground, and matchday pitch, and his party hard 'rules don't apply to me' demeanor outside of football, Abwooli Isaza is quite the figure in Cardenao. He's also a king tier trash talker, which is a total break from the Cardenaoan norm and that has made Abwooli a bit of a national sensation, with his smack talk compilations gaining tens of thousands of views online.

21- Montral LeBlanc
Height: 5’10 - Weight: 148lbs – Age: 17 - Registry: #52 - Team: Escuela Nacíonal DCPF

Montral LeBlanc is an immensely promising attacking midfielder who is skilled at all facets of attacking play. He’s got a golden touch paired with smooth and direct dribbling, a good eye for goal from all distances, sharp crossing and he can curl in free-kicks too. What makes him such an interesting prospect is his ability to excel in any sort of attacking role, whether that's as a #10, on the wing, or up top as a striker. He can dribble and whip crosses in, he can sit in the hole and use his passing to orchestrate attacking moves, or he can play up top in a variety of striking roles, he’s a Cardenao Army Knife in attack that can be used in any situation. His fine form in helping lead La Escuela to the MegaPower League title has earned Montral his first callup to the national team and all eyes will be on him.

7- Ibai [i]Acosta-Vargas
Height: 5'8 - Weight: 147lbs – Age: 31 - Registry: #9 - Team: Alameda Desperados

Bringing elite level speed and acceleration to the starting lineup, Ibai Acosta-Vargas is the most creative attacking Cardenaoan player in the game today. Blessed with pace pace pace, he will be expected to stretch the play and use his physical gifts to race onto through balls and set up the attacking play. Ibai has a delightful array of first-encounter dribbling moves that let him dance beyond a defender and burst into open space. His ability to make the assist is incredible, with accurate crossing and passing pairing with the vision and creativity to execute the ideas that come to him, the 16 goal/37 assist season he had last year says it all. He will forever be known for assisting the first ever National Team goal and for generally being the team’s most consistent offensive threat, evidenced by Acosta-Vargas holding the record for most national team assists. With a goal and five assists in the last World Cup, he will be hoping to kick on even more to help his team finish on the podium at this tournament. At 31 years of age, Ibai is yet another of the first generation of Cardenao footballers that are approaching their retirements.

22- Jamal Mustafason
Height: 6' - Weight: 152lbs – Age: 20 - Registry: #45 - Team: Avondale Beach (SYL)

Jamal Mustafason is a very talented dribbler, keeping the ball glued to his feet as he cuts in from the left wing. With 13 goals and 15 assists in 57 MegaPower League appearances as a teenager, Jamal made his mark on the MegaPower before completing a $2.5m transfer to Avondale Beach of Sylestone. He has a great eye and feeling for choosing the right spaces, using his dribbling and affinity for one-two passes to open up attacking angles. Perhaps most notable is just how confident Jamal is on the ball, seemingly never afraid of attacking his defender and always looking to go to goal. His shooting ability is a bit rough, especially from outside the box, but with his agility and trickery, he’s able to get up close before slotting the ball past the keeper.

With his skill set, he’s capable of playing all across the front line, but using him as an out and out striker seems like a waste of his particular talents. At 6’0 he has a good frame, but the lad is still young and wiry, and that can lead to him getting bullied off the ball. He recently and fans will be excited to see how the talented youngster develops.

24- Kaison Sibonaliso
Height: 5'9 - Weight: 142lbs – Age: 21 - Registry: #38 - Team: Real Alegria

Staying far, far out on the left wing is Kaison Sibonaliso. Mr. Hug the touchline loves staying outside to stretch the defense before using his burst of pace to latch onto a through ball. His most notable trait is his excellent crossing and general wing play, while he’s a deceptively good finisher who stays within his limits, scoring seven (7) and assisting 16. He also has a defensive engine too, tracking reasonably well back in defense and getting stuck in every now and again, much to the fan’s delight. Off the field, Kaison is known for being somewhat ignorant of the rough life of the average Cardenaoan. That wasn’t malicious or anything, he’s just a rich kid from a rich town getting paid a rich wage who doesn’t know any better. Hopefully as he ages and matures, he can get a little more educated as to the plight of his nation.

Strikers:

Image
9- Juanma Saez
Height: 5'10 - Weight: 165lbs – Age: 30 - Registry: #10 - Team: Parakleion Firebirds FC (TKT)

A classic striker with exceptional shooting, Juanma loves moving into the open channel to use his decent dribbling and first touch to roll onto goal and shoot with his right foot into the keepers left sidenet. He's a great finisher and always stays alert to the game, using his off the ball ability to give his defender a fakeout and head into open space. Buildup play isn't Juanma's strong suit, so if his attack through the center is blocked off, then there's not really much he can contribute to the attack. But damn can he shoot the ball and that’s what you want from your starting striker. He scored Cardenao’s first international goal in the 78th Baptism of Fire and hasn’t stopped since then, scoring 31 in 55 for the Blue and Golds and having two superb seasons in the Tikariot Premier League, providing 39 goals and 14 assists in total as he’s been selected to both the B and A team of the season in his two years there. After ten goals in the last World Cup and at the absolute peak of his powers, Juanma is a man with a mission this edition.

Off the pitch Juanma Saez enjoys jetskiing and bird hunting, while he also owns a majority stake in the popular tequila company Mejíto.

25- Alberto Godwine
Height:6'1 - Weight:160lbs – Age: 25 - Registry: #36 - Team: Herzegoinva City (BAN)

The 10 million dollar man and Testículos nominee, Alberto Godwine was born to score goals, and score goals he has. 64 in 114 matches for Küsbon Town made him one of the most lethal Cardenaoan strikers and earned him that $10m move to Banija. Blessed with blazing pace, serviceable height at 6’1, and a good understanding of off the ball movement, the 25 year old devastates defenses with his runs, feints, and ability to put the ball in the net. Up close, far out, with a defender on him, a header, the occasional free kick and the acrobatic finishes, Alberto Godwine really can score in all manners and that’s all he cares about. Accordingly, he is not a great passer and woeful at facilitating so he shouldn’t be counted out to control the game by any stretch of the imagination. He has decent enough dribbling but tends to lose control when he tries to flat out sprint with the ball, so placing him on the wing might not be the best usage. No, to get the most out of Alberto Godwine, just stick him up top and point him at goal. Five goals in five games at the Cardenao Cup was more than enough to secure his spot in the A team and he will be eager to try and claim the starting striker position as Juanma progresses in age.

A complete unknown until a year ago, 18 year old Gaizka Arrascaeta has gone from the youth teams to becoming the first option off the bench for the Oriannor Mountaineers in the Tikariot Premier League and now here he is with the senior national team in the Cup of Harmony squad. Six goals and an assist came for the lad in 25 appearances, mostly off the bench, which is decent enough in the prestigious TPL, but it was the manner the youngster played that won him this opportunity. The lad is fast, no other way to put it. He’s got good acceleration, a high top speed, he’s agile enough to turn on a dime, overall he’s a great athlete with room to add strength. What makes him so intriguing as a prospect is his first touch and dribbling, and how he uses both of those. Gaizka rarely dribbles just to dribble and indeed prefers to run on to the ball, but the lad has a deep bag of tricks and a dangerous sense of when to pull out the right trick to give him the best chance at scoring a goal. Everyone is very curious to see how he gets on now that he’s at the highest stage for his country despite being known to none twelve months ago. Is it all happening too soon? Only time will tell, perhaps the next Chímo is already here! No pressure though.

10- Chímo Ventura
Height: 5'10 - Weight: 153lbs – Age: 22 - Registry: #16 - Team: Escuela Nacíonal DCPF

Chímoooooo! So goes the popular chant from the Escuela Nacíonal DCPF faithful who have watched this particular talent blaze through the youth teams scoring goals for absolute laughs to dominating the Cardenao MegaPower League to showcasing it all at the World Cup. Chímo has world class dribbling and how to use it to give himself the best chance at goalscoring opportunity, which pairs well with his sharp shooting and great attacking movement to terrorize every defense he faces. He is particularly noted for his ability to fire off powerful shots without needing much space and will be celebrating a goal before you’ve even realized he’s kicked it. Chímo has developed into an all-around goal threat having scored 58 in 95 matches in the MegaPower League and will be keen to show the world what he’s all about in this tournament. Now both a back to back league champion and two-time player of the season winner with his boyhood club, there are questions about what’s next for the young man. Will he stay or will he go?

18- Halan Medhagbia
Height: 5’10 - Weight: 145lbs - Age: 27 - Registry: #26 - Team: CSKA Quebec (QUE)

A left footed player who loves cutting in from the right wing, Halan Medhagbia is a quick, creative and technically excellent player whose main traits are his trickery, balance while dribbling, curling shots from the top of the box, and intelligent play in close quarters, all likely do to his history of playing street football. A slender build, Medhagbia has troubles with a physical defender but his pace and interplay ability help him evade most challenges. He burst onto the scene with the Catamulina Catarollas, scoring 16 goals and assisting a further 9 while putting in consistently strong performances to earn a high profile move to the exotic Cornwall Clippers of Quebec, before putting in a series of strong appearances in the World Cup culminating in a pair of goals and an assist. Now, after a season of high level play and a good WC93, he's earned a move to the illustrious CSKA Quebec.

20- Babou Charlemo
Height:5'10 - Weight: 153lbs – Age: 23 - Registry: #53 - Team: Fiskadaha FC (PFA)

At only 23 years of age, Babou Charlemo has already had three remarkable seasons in the MegaPower league. 80 goals, 55 assists in 149 MegaPower appearances, the man has been crazy good and now he’s ready for bigger things. He’s got a big bag of dribbling tricks and is always pulling something out to give his defender the slip. Add on pace4dayz and an accurate right foot and you’ve got the goal machine that is Babou Charlemo. The Sareña striker is a generally unselfish player, always looking to create opportunities for the team but he certainly doesn’t avoid putting his head down and “going at it” every now and again.

Now he’s earned a big money move to Fiskadaha and it’s time to show the world what he’s got.

Manager: Scooter McNash
Image
55 years old

A striking legend in his younger days, the eccentric Scooter McNash took the lead of the Cardenao national team in the build up to the 78th Baptism of Fire and he has been absolutely outstanding, leading the team to the 70th world ranking and reaching the Round of 16 in the 84th Cup of Harmony and CAFA Cup V. Can we get much higher? Apparently not after an awful CoH85, how much longer Scooter stays in the managerial role is a matter of debate in every bar in Cardenao.

PRIMARY FORMATION AND PLAYSTYLE

Image

The Blue and Golds are heading into the 6th CAFA CUP with the same tactical 4-2-3-1 approach. The two centerbacks form a classic stopper-sweeper combination while the wingbacks push high and wide in attack to provide passing options. In midfield, Diego Valenzuela stays back to shield the defense, while Lonzo Capiatelli is a box-to-box midfielder who can do it all in attack and defense. Ahead of them, Haritz Larrainzar plays in the #10 role and is a dual threat with his elite goal scoring and assisting abilities, while Juanma Saez is a classic #9 who is there to put the ball in the net. Ibai Acosta-Vargas generally stays near the left touchline and attacks his defender to serve the ball into the center, while Chímo Ventura sits narrow from the right wing so he can easily attack the goal with the intent to score.

In terms of playstyle, offensively Cardenao plays to quickly fire the ball along the ground up the pitch to try and will get settled in when they have possession in the attacking half. Generally buildup is done in the midfield before swinging the ball out wide for the final attacking move. Players aren’t shy about trying a risky pass but will generally avoid taking low quality shots. All players have a generally high level of on the ball skill and this results in plenty of flashy play over the course of a match. Due to the fluid nature of the Cardenao attack, players will often interchange positions and move around the pitch, hoping to open up the defense with their movement.

Off the ball there is a distinct ‘Huayraball’ Fulbo approach, where the team is tasked with pressing hard to win the ball back in the five seconds after losing possession before falling back into a more organized defense. This has the benefit of intense pressure to maximize ball-retainment rates before establishing the well-rounded protection of a traditional defensive scheme.

Last-Known Kits (Home, Away, Goalkeeper)

Against all odds, and against all reasonable advice, the Vdaran flag shall be returning to the most prestigious inter-regional competition there is[1], with the same faces you all know and lo- Hey, wait a minute, I only know three of these guys... ach, who cares. What matters is that the Blue, White and Golds are returning for their first competition in any capacity since World Cup 90[2], and any remaining ranking points should be entirely disregarded, as the absence of communication between the islands and the rest of the world has led to an entirely new squad[3], an ignorance of traditional gender roles, and a ludicrous amount of missed pop culture references. As a result, you may notice some slight differences between the Vdarans you know and the Vdarans we know. Don't be alarmed by this - the ones you know will all be accounted for in due course. In the meantime, however, please enjoy this traditional party tune. Get funky! Get groovy! Get jiggy! It's what Margaret would want, I think.

If you or a loved one has adopted a Vdaran, please inform us of their name, age, and passport number via fax. We have no idea where anyone or anything is, and the following squad reflects this. Because of this, call-ups may change as the competition progresses. Do not be alarmed; a new copy will be sent to all relevant authorities upon said change. If you have a problem with this, do not hesitate to contact us by sending an angry fax - please label all angry faxes with [ANGRY FAX] as a header and footer, and state your point in 15 words or less. Any more words will result in your fax being shredded with immediate effect. No hard feelings.

FLAVOVESPIA

Image

Kit

Image

Home-Away-Third

Coming to the end of its lifetime is this cycle, with new kits pencilled in for the WCQ94 campaign. A stylised “double V” features, much like many Flavovespian kits. The yellow shirt, black shorts and black socks are reversed in the away kit, creating interchangeable elements. The Anaia purple and gold third kit is a tribute to the CAFA Cup 4 and CAFA Cup 5 victories.

Squad

Manager

Manager – Augusto Rinaldi Age: 61 [SVG/FVA]

Undoubtedly the best manager Flavovespia has ever had, Augusto Rinaldi took them from plucky outsiders, to a regional powerhouse and 3 World Cup appearances. His great man management means he can get squads into the right mindset, and once they hit form it’s hard to remove them from that form. Since the portal calamity that removed Savigliane from the map, Rinaldi has also been granted dual citizenship of Flavovespia.

Goalkeepers

1 Aarif Muhammad Age: 32 Position: GK Club: Rockridge Phoenix [BRE] Caps: 199 Goals: 0
12 Thomas Foley Age: 30 Position: GK Club: Bavingtor FC Caps: 2 Goals: 0
23 Nathan Crewe Age: 28 Position: GK Club: Marthorpe City FC Caps: 4 Goals: 0

Of all of the squad selections, this was probably the most predictable. Aarif Muhammad, but for that 3-4 loss against Oberour Ar Moro, looked in fine form in the WCQ93 and World Cup 93. 199 caps alrwady, he’ll be set to join the 200 club, a great all-around goalkeeper, and still looking like he’s got a few more tournaments in him. Foley and Crewe are two backups very unfortunate to have Aarif Muhammad of them. Foley has great shot-stopping and agility, although distribution and his temper can be wayward. Crewe has never quite reached the shot-stopping level of those two, but can clear more than half the field with his right foot with ease.

Defenders

2 David Lyons Age: 31 Position: LB Club: Maethoru SC [KOR] Caps: 189 Goals: 3
3 Andrew Dance Age: 28 Position: RB Club: Loxthorpe Rovers FC Caps: 121 Goals: 1
4 Stuart Cookson Age: 30 Position: CB Club: Marthorpe City FC Caps: 139 Goals: 2
5 Paul Taylor Age: 25 Position: CB Club: AC Izotz Zubia [AUD] Caps: 68 Goals: 0
13 Stan Scott-Wilson Age: 20 Position: LB Club: Marthorpe City FC Caps: 0 Goals: 0
14 Nazir Hussain Age: 24 Position: CB Club: Loxthorpe Rovers FC Caps: 5 Goals: 0
15 Daniel Lansdell Age: 32 Position: CB Club: Bavingtor FC Caps: 103 Goals: 1
16 Scott Gillespie Age: 24 Position: RB Club: Syneca AC [SRS] Caps: 0 Goals: 0

Rinaldi has taken the opportunity for some rotation in the defensive ranks. Age sees David Blythe finally drop from the National Team, and Kishan Rees and Malcolm Beresford are replaced with other options. Numbers 2-5 remain the same from the WCQ93 and World Cup 93. Captain David Lyons leads at left back, tough tackling, strong, but full of good, positive spirit. Andrew Dance at right back looks a friendly face on and off the pitch, but can play with real fierceness. Stuart Cookson is a tall, commanding centre back who brings experience and a level head to the role. Paul Taylor can be a bit rash and outspoken, but has really grown into the international game in recent appearances. Daniel Lansdell is an experienced centre back, although there’s a sense there’s not too many caps left for him. Nazir Hussain has a tough build, and whilst not a player with lots of flair, gets the job done with route one defending. 2 debutants are in the ranks. Stan Scott-Wilson has impressed since moving to Marthorpe City, with his positioning and direct passing downfield. Some think he’s still too young for international football, but he’s been given a chance to grow under the mentorship of David Lyons. Scott Gillespie left Flavovespia as a teenager, and has spent much of his club career at Syneca AC. The tall right back will hope to make an impression for the National Team, having gone the more unusual route to get there.

Midfielders

6 Jonathan Goldstone Age: 29 Position: CM Club: Bavingtor FC Caps: 65 Goals: 2
7 Kieron Player Age: 30 Position: CDM Club: Coret Hawks [NPH] Caps: 189 Goals: 13
8 David Wassell Age: 28 Position: CDM Club: Yerushalayim [ADB] Caps: 79 Goals: 0
11 Jonathan Bagshaw Age: 24 Position: RAM Club: AC Izotz Zubia [AUD] Caps: 125 Goals: 60
17 Martin Edwards Age: 26 Position: CDM Club: Langmere Green Rovers FC Caps: 11 Goals: 1
18 Anthony Lane Age: 21 Position: LAM Club: Loxthorpe Rovers FC Caps: 0 Goals: 0
19 Amrik Singh Age: 25 Position: RAM Club: Binclestead Wood FC Caps: 19 Goals: 3
22 Robert Cooper Age: 32 Position: RAM Club: Bavingtor FC Caps: 29 Goals: 6

A few shake-ups in the midfield selection, with a few familiar names dropped. After 194 caps and 17 goals, David Clark’s international career comes to an end, one of Flavovespia’s reliable midfielders for many years. 153 caps and 23 caps made up Robert Totten’s international career, but at 34, his time in the national team has seemingly come to a close. Also out of this squad is Andrew Thomas, having never quite shone at international level. The star of the midfielders is Jonathan Bagshaw. The right attacking midfielder, usually on the right of the attacking trio, he’s well over a century of caps, his shooting and passing are sublime, and is considered the best Flavovespian footballer for a long time. Jonathan Goldstone took some time to get going at club and international level, but his passing, dribbling and resolute character makes him important in midfield. Kieron Player’s passing and vision are almost second to none amongst Flavovespians, he may seem aloof and distant off the pitch, but he’s a great player. David Wassell is another example of a player who took a bit of time to adapt to international play, but now has a good reading of the game and can close off dangerous looking through balls. Martin Edwards showed some real flashes of skill and clever passing in his first international cycle, but does have a tendency to make rash challenges. Amrik Singh is dynamic, can play right attacking midfield, central attacking midfield or occasionally left attacking midfield. Good with long range shots and passes, but can press a little high. Robert Cooper is one of the most likeable figures off the field, and with his near ambidextrous feet, can play across the midfield and attacking line, always putting in a good effort. Anthony Lane gets a first call up. Agility and pace is brilliant, but he’ll need to show more than just that to cut through at this level.

Forwards

9 Michael Cole Age: 30 Position: CF Club: North Hall [BRE] Caps: 167 Goals: 83
10 Adrian Jones Age: 31 Position: CF Club: 1830 Cathair [AUD] Caps: 89 Goals: 48
20 Andrew Brocklehurst Age: 29 Position: CF Club: Loxthorpe Rovers FC Caps: 5 Goals: 0
21 Richard Birmingham Age: 22 Position: CF Club: Langmere Green Rovers FC Caps: 16 Goals: 5

Its four forwards for Flavovespia, all of them keeping their places after the World Cup Qualifiers 93 and World Cup 93. Michael Cole has reached 30 now, but should be on course for 100 international goals. Typically on the left of the attacking trio but can play down the centre, he may have an ego, but he also has agility and a powerful shot. Adrian Jones only managed one goal in CAFA Cup 5, however it was the winner in the final. A return to form after that in internationals helped, his strength allows him to play as a false nine but also pose an aerial threat. Richard Birmingham is a similar build to Jones, and has impressed early on in his international career, he could be on for many more caps. Andrew Brocklehurst shows great hold up play and can bring in the wider forwards, but internationally does lack a little bit in terms of pure finishing ability, and there’s others chasing after his spot.

Tactics

Flavovespia keep their typical 4-3-3 formation. They play direct football, happy to absorb pressure and then hit on the counter. Expect the back four to sit deep, and if they get the ball, to look for a midfielder to play it too. Only if they’re not winning or need goals will the full backs push up. In the midfield trio, one will typically be the ball-winner, aiming to do the bulk of the closing down and stifling central attacks. A playmaker will look to make the key passes, with a roaming midfielder linking to attack and also pressing. The attack is made up of a false nine central forward, who can go for goal themselves or drop a little bit deeper, to play in the two wider forwards.

Parumaquae is a dry country and the Quisitiuntaquae that inhabit it are accordingly very hard and cynical people. A brutal crunching tackle will be cheered just as loudly as a goal and will occur far more often too. Despite this, the players know how to stay just on the right side of the referee's good graces.

Nation Trigramme: WKN
Team Colors: White, Blue
Team Nickname: Sky Whales
Demonyms: Gothanitans (referring to people from TGI in general), Wokeans (people from Wokeanaia)

Some context about Wokeanaia: Wokeanaia is a disputed territory aiming to cede from North Handoria while remaining in the Gothanitan Isles confederation. The people of Wokeanaia were aiming for government change, but following a spate of incidents, and the response by the current Handorian government, they have decided to chart a path of their own. This regionals is a goal for me to iron out various issues the storyline and also continue on the parts which I failed to complete from the WCQs.

Head Coach and Playing Style
Tadas Conghalaigh, 54, was a former defender playing for mid-to-low tier clubs in TGI, such as Hellina City and 1093 Kayirs, but has since taken on coaching roles elsewhere. After being sacked by the Football Association of North Handoria for his support of the Wokeanaia Movement, he has been appointed as interim head coach of the team. Not as experienced as a manager, but belives his experience from the time he was a player could help carry this team across. Believes in a defence first and late counterattack strategy.
Players playing for this Wokeanaian team are considerably not as strong. There are a few Handorians, who would largely be consider Wokeans, but have decided not to take a side during this time of conflict. Wokeanaia is also not home to many strong football teams, and as such, expect this team to be weaker in general. The only thing pushing this team along is probably their motivation to seek recognition and support for their cause.

Style Modifier: -5
Formation: 5-4-1

I give my opponents permission to do the following for their RPs:
- Choose my starting lineup, goalscorers, substitutes. This must be done in reference to the details provided in pre-match RPs/main roster, such as the 11 starters listed above, and the players' styles.
- Godmod any scoring events, subject to these events being realistic. (Eg. Long range balls from midpoint line/goalkeeper line is allowed, RPing a fast ball boy that allowed for the corner to take place amid chaos is allowed, but something like having a pigeon swoop down from the sky to push a ball in is not allowed. Go through with me what you plan and I may easily accept it.)
- RP or Godmod injuries to my players. These injuries can occur inside or outside the match, however, you only RP what happened. (Do TG me so that I will take notice, especially for godmodded ones.) The extent of injuries, as well as the duration of the player being out, is decided by me.
- Hand out yellow and red cards to my players. However, the number of red cards can only be 1 more than the number of red cards you give your own players.
- RP or Godmod any other events, with the exception of any pandemic-related events. No pandemic in my nation, no pandemic on my players.

Wokeanaia's Bid for CAFA Cup 6

The Format
In consideration of the current situation in Wokeanaia, Wokeanaia wants to do the hosting without hosting too many matches. As such, the first thing about the bid is a distinct lack of neutral matches in Wokeanaia. All matches will be held in a home-away double leg format.
And since its double leg, so, you might have guessed it - there is no intention of a group stage. The format will adopt a straight double-elimination knockout format. Prior to the Upper Bracket Quarterfinals (and its equivalent Lower Bracket), teams will be split into 2 pots by CAFA ranks. Wokeanaia, as an unranked side, will be placed in the unseeded pot. Teams drawn first will play their first game at home. Matches will be scored using two draws-on 90 minutes matches, with away goals taken into account. Should the teams be level, a match will be scored with draws off, until we get a match with extra time/penalties. The extra time goals and penalties will be added to the second leg result and provided.
For the first round, higher ranked teams will be given a bye should byes be needed.

OOC Scorination details
The tournament will be scored using xkoronate, with the SQIS formula. Any games involving the host will be scorinated by a third-party. Cutoffs will be held every 48 hours where possible, giving participants ample time to RP. The cutoffs will likely be around 8.30pm Singapore Time (UTC+8), or 12.30pm UTC, 7.30am US Eastern Time (UTC-5).
EDIT: For the upper bracket, it is guaranteed that 1 leg will be scored per cutoff. For the lower bracket, the cutoff split will determine on the exact bracket numbers.

RPs will be graded based on quality and effort of RP, regardless of the medium of presentation. For example, match reports that are more concise and features more content points would be more likely to get a higher grade as compared to a longer match report which keeps revolving around a few in-game events and feels rather repetitive. RPs which are totally unrelated to the game be graded on similar criteria as RPs relating to the game/team.

In addition, a roster bonus up to 1 matchday's worth will be given. Rosters will be graded based on the amount of information it gives to other nations, from the player attributes, to the team's overall playing style, and any quirks opposing nations should take note of when RPing matches against your team. As all teams are required to submit a roster, no roster penalty is required.

On Entries Cutoff
I will cutoff 1 week after the closure of the host bid voting, or 19th April at 2359 UTC, whichever comes later. All entries should be accepted (because of the ability to have byes for the first round), but if there is a need to cut entries, then puppets will be cut first.

On the Use of ChatGPT and AI Programs
With the rise of Artificial Intelligence Programs that can generate images & large chunks of text, the host believes that any use of the AI Programs as part of roleplaying should be declared. In particular, we believe that AI-generated text should not be given any roleplaying credit. Should any roleplay posted for credit be found to have utilised such AI programs (without being credited as such), the host will take action similar to that of RP plagiarism.

For AI-generated images used as part of an original roleplay, the host would consider them to be similar to using online-found stock images. No additional credit would be given for usage of such images.

Host Experience
You can read more about it here

We are open for any additional questions.

The Pyazhnayan national team is going to try to improve on their final loss in CAFA V after a fairly successful WC qualifying campaign. The team has no player from Pyazhnaya in the squad this time around, which could be a sign that having more players in better leagues is a good omen? We will see.

Image
Aleksandr Zavrashin - 45
Aleksandr Zavrashin's position as Pyazhnayan national coach is hanging somewhat in the balance after a few quite unsuccessful tournaments. The team will still employ its flexible 4-4-2 formation and an offensive style to surprise the opposing teams!

Atheara play something known as Keyakinan-ball.

The term is coined by some of the most trusted footballing experts there is, as the name comes from an ancient tongue that came from the world The Kingdom of Nordcalia - Gestova originally resided in (From a region that is only known by their name, Pulauan Tenggara). Translating it, the term essentially means trust-ball. Keyakinan-ball means flexibility, dynamical, and explosive upon the trigger that is fired. Keyakinan-ball is generally about mounting and holding off the attack and the pressure the enemy team waves at The Blue Guard, letting themselves get tired while Atheara doesn't waste as much stamina and energy. And once the opposition are worn down and exhausted to a certain degree, the team fires the trigger and initiates the counter attack. The goal could come from said counter attack, maybe a set piece or a free kick that was earned in the process, perhaps during a corner or a penalty kick.

The Blue Guard is all about standing on the defense, letting the opposition make mistakes while Atheara observes to find the opposition's weak spots and weaknesses. Let the opponent tire themselves out and lower their guard from trying to attack us, and when they get too exhausted, take the chance to strike immediately. It is extremely frustrating to play against and it might even be boring to watch, but all the beauty comes during the transition from clamping the enemy to entering the attack. Through balls, crosses, and beautiful passes that are complimented with a good part of the team charging forward knowing that they might be the next player to receive and push the ball forward. Atheara's a team that relies on speed, accuracy, efficiency and finesse rather than physical prowess, pure power or raw strength. The Blue Guard can match most teams when it comes to stamina and endurance. They not only rely on all of that, this team also relies on tactical advantage, team harmony, and chances being taken.

So if you want to beat us, you'll need to stay on guard, be patient, and have enough grit to survive whatever is suddenly thrown at you by The Blue Guard.

KITS
For this year's edition of CAFA, The Blue Guard will still be using the WCQ 92 kits that were supplied for their return onto the international footballing scene. Atheara will continue to use the kits for the foreseeable future unless they see the requirements for a kit change.

Mertagne is back for the sixth edition of the CAFA, and the sixth edition they have contested. After a mediocre CAFA V which saw Mertagne get knocked out by eventual silver medalists Pyazhnaya at home in a thrilling match that exposed some of the team's weaknesses heading into what was their best World Cup qualification campaign in the modern era. A Cup of Harmony performance which resulted in a similarly lethargic knockout loss, this time to Audioslavia, has seen the Mertagnian squad reach a bit of an static point, with little movement at the top levels of the squad, and critics crying out that having such a long-lived elf in charge of squad picks means that new ideas and innovations in the game are struggling to reach the national representation.

Such a static point isn't necessarily a doldrum, however, as Mertagne are rapidly approaching the apex of rankings in both the KPB and CAFA rankings, the latter of which peg the national team as the 10th best squad in the region, a position that has been hard earned in recent cycles considering the disasterous start to Mertagne's CAFA career, with routine poor performances in the group stages of CAFA Cups 1 and 2.

The current incarnation of the Mertagnian national team is still perfectly happy to focus on their 'pre-football' style of play, which focuses on nailing the fundamantals of the game each and every time, and simply scoring more goals than the opponent and keeping a lead. Set pieces aim to be rarely given, and this is a Mertagne side that looks to only concede should the opponent mount a solid offensive push up the pitch. The aim of the squad is to completely block out any kind of sh*thousery from the team or the opponent, and show off solely through effective crosses, well placed shots, and the odd corner kick. This squad in particular has been drilled in finishing off set pieces, which is something that Mertagne has sorely lacked in recent cycles. Of course, half the squad like to flaunt this instruction in some way or another, and therefore the way Mertagne purport to play on paper and practically play on the pitch are presumably per contra.

Notable players on this squad include captain Pia Aziz, who has has a stunning career with Astograth's Bakartirla Buccaneers and is thoroughly deserving of the captaincy. She is vice-captained by goalkeeper Rhiannon Fawn, who put in a stellar performance in last cycle's WCC tournaments and was unfortunately missing from the CoH loss to Audioslavia. Damien Gannet, her understudy, is known for his obtuse diving towards the ball over in Kurtz, and has stepped up to put in solid work here on the international stage. On the defensive line, which has become somewhat of an issue in recent matches, Corrie Kidman is joined by the experienced Txomin Huon and speedy Sabrina Aikman, forming the first choice for the squad. Solid substitutes in the form of up-and-comer Karon Murell ensure that staying on the pitch for the full 90 minutes will not be a problem for this particular set of the Green Goblins.

Pia Aziz is joined in the Midfield by Stewart Bickley, who injects a youthful flavour onto the left side of the pitch and will be looking to fill the huge vacuum left by the departure of Erdoza de la Fontaine from the national side. Graham Ellerby and Rowan Emberson round out the first choice midfielders, and their domestic careers across Anaia provide a strength in this tournament against some likely foes. Leigh Eyre of Tumbra's Fraser Valley joins to provide a more attacking pivot if Woodhouse or Bickley can't apply the pressure.

The focal point of the team lies in its attack, and Tevente Kings joins Holly Eveson and Burro Curwood on the front line and will be looking to slip past the opposition and punt a goal into the back of the net. Kings and Eveson are known to grate against each other on the pitch, but management has assumed that this will result in a competitive streak to score more goals rather than an attempt to sabotage each other. The pair of Lewises in Morgota and Travers make a return to international play together, with each being a formidable option on their own as evidenced by their striking force in their respective domestic teams.

National Anthem: ¡Oh, Huayramarca! - Lyrics
Capital City: Chuquiago.
Highest Point: Nevado Inti (7,920 masl)

Huayramarcan Football History:
As a society, Huayramarcans enjoy sports, especially when politics may turn the nation into a chaos every second, they just want to run away from that horrible and desperate situation and may try luck on football.

Considering the levels of poverty on Huayramarca, young people may give a shot for football in the chaotic Liga 1 or lower tiers, with the hopes of achieving a decent salary that may help their families to get away from poverty and huayco-prone neighbourhoods. Liga 1 has fourteen teams from various parts of the country, mostly focused on the Sierra and Costa regions since those are the most heavily populated ones. The recent decisions taken in the Government and the Huayramarcan Football Federation, where they ended a ban on transferring players to foreign teams, has filled with optimism and illusion an entire generation of youngsters, that now aim to be another Huayramarcan playing abroad.

Immediately after the HFF creation, the president of the Plurinational State, Hugo Mina (Costeño), thought it would be a great idea to form a fringe squad for the AOCAF and then try to make it into Baptism of Fire or World Cup Qualifiers, hence he asked for Eliezer González (head of the Huayramarcan Football Federation) to try and apply for said tournaments. He sent notes to sign-up for those events, but he sent them incorrectly, at AOCAF, he sent it to a grandmother living up near the Andean Organization for Coffee, Agriculture and Forests (located at Cumbayá) instead of sending it to the proper AOCAF tournament organizing committee, which turned González into laughingstock for several weeks in Huayramarca. Despite that, González managed to sign-up properly for the WC, despite he was rejected for BoF because he applied to the “Burger of Fire” and not the Baptism of Fire.

After all, the HFF managed to convince 25 players from the amateur-ish Liga 1 sides to build the National Team, whose nickname is resumed to “Kuntur” (The Condors), all those players ranged from being high school students, to chemists, bus drivers, and even people from the local tavern, whose preference is revealed on how they named their team “Real Ebriedad”, which was later supported by Cristalina, the main brewery firm from Huayramarca.

Nothing that would be possible without the support of Omar Caicedo, a Costeño who migrated to Québec and decided to learn football techniques while managing Beyreuth University, where he won three national titles out of eight seasons on his span with them. Caicedo is a fan of high-pressure football, known as “gegenpressing” or “El Huayco” as Huayramarcans may call if (specially Serranos, since they might be quite shy or sometimes plain dumb that doesn’t like to attack) Anyways, Caicedo’s strategy proved right on some matches played by Huayramarca against their northern neighbour, the Royal Kingdom of Québec, beating them 5-1 at Huayramarca’s Estadio Nacional (located at 4,012 masl only?!…) and tying 2-2 at Iqaluit’s Ice Hockey Rink (that’s what the players thought at playing in a frozen city… ¡Achachay!) If you wonder what’s ¡Achachay! Well, figure out you’re on top of the mountain receiving wind and gelid weather right into you, if you did it, welcome to Huayramarcan’s sense of cold shivering!

Well, coming back to football, Caicedo’s devotion for 4-2-3-1 has been unquestionable, he always loved to boast of having a neat defence, two defending mid fielders that may aim to recover possession when needed, or even having one of them switching to creative duties in support of the team’s brain, Ian Mamani, then, two wingers feeding the sole striker up in the middle of the box. He did demonstrate a lot during the first part of the World Cup Qualifiers, earning some mixed results during it, but it failed for a part of the second half, where the team accumulated an 11 winless game streak added that they weren't capable to snatch a win during their first eight local games. In fact, their first home win came at the 9th home game, after that, they won three out of their four last home games, earning an 8 games unbeaten streak to finish off the Qualifiers, which was a quite impressive recovery after suffering a significant streak of defeats.

Said streak wasn’t a lucky strike, it was somehow a confirmation on how the Huayramarcan National Team had turned into a squad that forged a reputation as a hardworking team. The Cup of Harmony 77 was an interesting test for the team, to see if they are capable to handle out the nerves of what it implies to be struggling for a knockout spot until the last second of the last match, which is what happened to the Condors, since they tied their first three games, they had a chance to get into the last rounds but they had to face Port Ember. Huayramarca succumbed to the nerves and wasted a 2-0 lead to see how Port Ember scored five goals in quick succession. Said waste of opportunities happened to be a constant during World Cup 86, where rivals such as Ko-oren and Tequilo didn’t forgave the Condors, who suffered heavy-handed defeats and weren’t able to put off a fight.

With investments made by the Huayramarcan Government to the Huayramarcan Football Federation, by multiplying tenfold their budget, the HFF has now sent the managerial staff of the Condors to other nations, to gather new ideas and apply those to build a competent side in tactical terms, with the main purpose to achieve World Cup qualification for the first time as soon as possible and provide that joy to the Huayramarcan folk. That heavy investment provided benefits during the 87th World Cup Qualifiers, where Huayramarca left behind the label of being an "uncomfortable rival" to take a protagonist role in their group, finishing second behind Audioslavia with a solid 40 points in 18 matches. Things in playoffs might be forgettable as Huayramarca drew at home (1-1) and was thrashed (1-4) in Tikariot.

Despite the downturn in the team's mindset, the team faced struggles at the Cup of Harmony group stage. Being defeated by Mriin at the first game, defeating Garifunya 1-0 and then tying against Ibixa for the second time in the cycle sent the Condors to the Knockout phase of CoH for their first time ever, Xanneria was a hard rival for the Round of 32, Huayramarca's miracle run was about to start with a narrow 2-1 win over them; then two rock-solid performances against Saint Domingue and a well-known foe from the WCQ Group (Sargossa) with a 3-1 and 2-0 respectively, put Huayramarca among the best four sides in the Cup of Harmony. Being defeated by Mriin with a hard-fought 2-3 and then once again a 1-4 against Newmanistan were enough to confirm Huayramarca as the 4th placed side.

World Cup 88th would prove to be an interesting situation for the team and fans overall, Huayramarca would have a rather forgettable first half of the qualifiers, with a 6-game winless streak that became a ballast enough to keep the team away from the Top-3 during the entire Qualifier. The team tried to revert the situation with strong performances that, pitifully, weren’t enough to qualify the team for the World Cup. A strong CoH and a decent CAFA helped to compensate.

Life may repeat some of their lessons if people doesn’t manage to learn from them, the Huayramarcan National Team enjoyed their best start ever in a World Cup Qualifier, nine goals for and one against in the four first matches, the team was displaying a defensive strength unknown for many fans, they continued the path by defeating Squornshelan Remnant States and Nephara in important matches. “It was too good for being real” said many fans, and Tumbra proved them right, as they grounded the Huayramarcans at the Estadio Nacional with a painful 0-3, so painful that marked a steady decline of the team for the second half, as the team got a succession of draws and defeats that sent them from the top of the table to the fifth place in a span of four matchdays. From that crisis, it is noteworthy the fact that Omar Caicedo used an alternative XI for the remainder of the cycle and shifted to a more offensive version of “El huayco,” that would prove to be effective for Cycle 90.

With Caicedo’s tenure in a limbo, he decided to take a game-changing decision after hiring Rodolfo Zelaya as an assistant coach; Zelaya’s a former footballer with significant decorations such as Champions Cup with two teams and reaching the World Cup Final twice. Despite being defeated at home by Valanora in the opener, a string of four clean sheets in the next five games would be decisive to consolidate Huayramarca as a contender in her group, then a quick succession of decisive results against Krytenia at home (3-2) and Valanora on the road (2-2) paved the way to keep the team fighting for the first place until the last matchday. Despite defeating Krytenia 1-0 on the road, the Vanorians won their last match and that meant that Huayramarca went to the playoffs, despite possessing the seventh best record of the qualifiers.

Facing Omerica in the playoffs was a tough affair, as they managed to salvage a horrid game when visiting the rivals, a 1-2 that proved to be oxygen for the second leg of the playoffs at Puerto San Carlos. An early goal from the Legend itself, Bryan Tello, and a strong defensive performance from The Condors forced the penalty kicks. The Huayramarcans and Omericans were scoring perfectly fine until the fifth round, where Juan Mamani decided to be the hero and saved the kick, sending Huayramarca to its first World Cup Finals.

El Huayco was now stronger than ever, and the World Cup highlighted it with statement results against Græntfjall (4-3 in debut) and the hosts, Vilita (1-0), despite being defeated by Pemecutan(3-4) and helped the team to reach the Round of 16. The hurdle in the knockouts proved to be the same as the Qualifiers, Valanora appeared for the third time in the cycle and demonstrated their experience with a sound 4-2 victory over The Condors, who did a great debut in the Multiversal Stage.

Said streak continued for the WC 91 Qualifier, one where despite having a bumpy start, Huayramarca managed to recompose things and propel themselves to the pack of nations fighting for automatic qualification, one featuring Sarzonia, Cassadaigua and Electrum. After being defeated by Electrum and Cassadaigua in a row, Huayramarca began an astonishing 15 game unbeaten run where they only conceded 15 goals and scored 48, including five straight clean sheets, even in critical matches where the Condors showed a magnificent performance. Revenge was sweet, defeating the Dagans at home, trouncing Electrum with a resounding 6-0 at Guayaquil (a NT record) and then a 2-0 win against Sarzonia propelled the Huayramarcan side to the top of their qualifier group. A draw against Magnecia complicated things as Sarzonia had a game in hand, Huayramarca had to keep the winning streak and they managed to do so, securing their automatic qualification against Ancherion in a dramatic fashion.

Back in the Group Stage of the World Cup, the Condors were trying to replicate the success achieved last year in the World Cup, not an easy task as they would face Farfadillis, Pasarga and Delaclava. Being defeated twice by narrow 3-2 scores, Huayramarca had to bid farewell to their hopes of replication, still, they had to avoid going with a zero on points, something they managed to do as they defeated Delaclava with a 4-3. Despite the outcome, the Condors were able to make a comeback in the cycle with a decent participation in CAFA 4, winning three matches and barely qualifying for the knockout stages; then, they defeated Legalese in a marathonic penalty kicks session and were edged out by the hosts, Ko-oren, with a 1-2 in extra time. Almost the same can be said about World Cup Cycle 92, where Huayramarca had a great qualifying campaign, recovering a slight disadvantage at mid qualifiers by defeating Pasarga and qualify for the third time. A horrible World Cup performance, added by a sound defeat vs Aleirave at CAFA 5 Quarterfinals, led to the end of the Caicedo cycle.

Now, with the experienced Blâás Âgínsôgnó in the bench, with the support of Hazel van Robben, Huayramarca aspires to refresh its football idea in this World Cup Qualifier, adding some interesting players of the rather successful Di Bradini Cup 54 team, players that are aiming to rejuvenate the team and be a bid for an overall quality level increase. Fans across the nation are expectant of what this team can do, their performance during the qualifiers and hoping to qualify for the WC Group Stage once again.
Anyways, Huayramarcan football stills being distinguishable on how prone are they to do long range shots, due that they are used to play at significant heights, the lack of oxygen may make the ball travel further without applying a lot of strength during the mechanics of kicking the football, that is known as the “Andean Effect” and may cause serious troubles for visiting sides on Huayramarca.

Without further ado, the starting XI and substitutes are presented in the following tables:

Team mentality:
Huayramarcans, per se, are bold and quite diverse between the team due to the regional contrasts among them: You might note surnames such as: Condori, Mamani, Quispe, Sayritupac, etc. Those are Serrano surnames. Serranos as such are quite shy people with non-serranos, between them, great footballing societies may be made due to their complete understanding of each other, they are quite homogenous on how they act and may be predictable for each other. But, for the non-expert eye, Serranos are one on their kind and could result unpredictable for them, since they love to do things at fast pace between them, without doubt one could send 60 meters cross with complete confidence that they might find their teammate, with this, you can notice that Serranos are overconfident on themselves and somewhat dubious with Costeños and Selváticos. Other characteristic of Serranos is that they are quite easy to intimidate, being shy and short-sized doesn’t helps, but in that situation, they might opt to act even better than they do for the sake of shutting your mouth.

Costeños and Selváticos (jungle) in the other hand are confident with everybody, even if they might not receive the same treatment by their Serrano fellows. Those two groups conform the rest of the team and might do good societies on field, declining the quality of their chemistry when trying to connect with Serranos, due to the latter shy mood. Physically speaking, Costeño and Selváticos are people who boast being the tallest overall in the team.

Chemistry building has been somewhat complicated for this team during the five cycles they have competed together but has been a rather successful process that consolidated with the 79th Cup of Harmony, the 88 th and 89 th World Qup Qualifiers, as they have been together as glue through high and lows. The regional divides topic is now outdated as the players have grown up significantly and have harnessed teamwork.

Although they work nicely as a team, there’s a moment when they can’t do that and that moment is when they have the goal in their sights, when they have a chance to score, they try to do their best to do it by themselves, even if that means avoid passing the ball to a better placed teammate, individualities have been surging from nowhere and this issue has costed valuable results for the team. This was combated successfully by Caicedo and Zelaya and Blâás Âgínsôgnó plans to continue in said route.

To finish with this part, Huayramarca is that kind of team that may be overconfident sometimes, but if you press them to their limits, they might react in unsuspected ways, be those positive or negative for their interests, you don’t know what would happen in the Serrano, Costeño or Selvático mindset. As they do on the local league, they might try to do some antics to their rivals, be it: providing beer instead of water to their rivals, or the classiest one, giving distillated “ayahuasca” (vodka-like alcohol) and pass it like water and make their rivals be drunk, taking advantage of their influence to beat the rival team. Of course, they might not abuse of this resource, Serranos might ask Inti for it.

How We Play Football? Note: Open this spoiler for the formation and game style.
At simple glance, things doesn't seem that had changed a lot after Omar Caicedo left the national team, and so his ideals for the future prospects. Huayramarca has decided to brand her own style of football embracing offensiveness, courage and grit under the label of fulbo total, in an attempt to take Huayramarca back to her roots of football, just making some enhancements that will make this system competitive enough to be a competitive force.

Fulbo is a common mispelling for fútbol in the Huayramarcan dialect of Spanish, also refered as the way that people grow in the streets, neighbourhoods and all places of Huayramarca use to play the sport. In the traditional sense, Huayramarcan football tends to be physical, both in strength, and intensity that is required to perform in an OK level. From the random dusty pitches in the highlands to the state-of-the-art premises that some stadiums boast across the nation, players are asked to never give up, to give everything they can in order to achieve victory; to the point of exploit loopholes in the football rules for their advantage.

Centrebacks are used to be relatively strong, as they will also try to outpace their rivals in physical strength, displaying rudeness and being prone to perform some harsh tackling when needed; there's no fear to get carded, it's a matter of avoiding the rival to score against their team. People in the villages often use an idiom to refer to what they accept as a good centreback "Either the ball or the player, but not both." Another main treat of them is that they tend to provoke or annoy rivals by trash-talking, trying to disconnect them from the match and make their own duties easier. Often, they will play near the midfield in order to force the rest of the team to press the rivals, limiting the playing area to the rival's half.

Sidebacks are one of the most important links of the team, as they don't restrict themselves to defend, they can often liberate pressure from the centrebacks by pushing the ball forward, be it through individuality or large crosses to the midfielder or the wingers. They use to have a nice speed and great spamina, enough to perform box-to-box routines frequently; they also link up with wingers when attacking through the sides, often engaging in a quick pass succession that leads to crossing the ball to the forward or a second-striker awaiting outside the area. Speed is useful for them, as they must be able to retreat and guarantee defensive numeric superiority when the rival tries to do a counter attack.

Midfielders: Although there are two clear roles here, being the destroyer and the playmaker, it can also be said that the role is pretty much indistinctive from who does it, as every one in this zone of the pitch is required to switch roles according to the scenario they might be facing at any moment; that's why this position is the most flexible under the big scheme of things in fulbo. As the name say, the destroyer is in charge to destroy any linking from the midfielders to the attackers when the Condors are protecting themselves from a counter, or avoid connections between defenders and the midfielders while the team is attacking, they can either tackle with clinical finesse or just aim to the rival's ankle, it all depends on how good they consider their rival, the better they are, the harsher will the destroyers act against those players.

The playmakers, in the other hand, can either be completely egocentrical or collaborative, that will depend of the very own personal treats of whoever takes the role in a very specific circumstance. Âgínsôgnó has given freedoms to the players in order to attack freely going in solos if they see a chance through, deliver the ball to a player that might be able to continue the idea of attacking or, simply, hold the ball until an opening appears or switching to destroyer and letting another player to find a gap that they might not notice.

Attackers: Tradition mandates two wingers and a spearhead, a forward that cautiously awaits a pass to slot it home. The wingers are instructed to serve the attacker or go through the defence and force a chance for themselves to score, similar to the defenders but not with the leeway to change sides, no, only instructions to provide enough tools for their decision-making process and promote more diverse ideas rather than focusing in a way to break through brute force. Âgínsôgnó also asks the attackers to bethe first line of defence of the National Team when the rivals commence a play, always through pincer plays or support from the creative midfielder; sometimes, the attackers can drop some metres to help in ball recovery efforts, then to start an attack with the help of the creative attacker.

The new Huayramarcan National Team, under the ideals of Âgínsôgnó, tries to makre sure that the ball can be held in the half of the rival team, as much as possible under Huayramarcan control, trying to create chances to break through the defence and score, or simply move the ball and cause fatigue on their rival as they try to chase the ball in vain. This style requires a lot of concentration from the players, stamina and need to collaborate and decide in a short time span, as dynamism is the name of the game, to never run out of ideas and outsmart the rival, that's the Huayramarcan 4-2-1-3.

Player’s description - Starting XI.

Nota bene: Caps considered after CAFA - For national purposes, friendlies are never taken into consideration for official registries.

N°1 - Juan Mamani - GK - 30 yrs - Team: Rülândéá Kôstä Image - Height: 1.88 mts - Caps: 227 - Goals: 1

Mamani is an individual that believes he always is right, he tends to be creative when saving balls or creating ideas to take the ball forward, based so much in the fact that he is protective, spontaneous and loves to be independent in his actions, always a dependable guy. Currently, his mood is over the clouds as he was recently signed up by the Farf side of Rülândéá Kôstä, now Juan expects to have experience at the highest level possible and learn techniques that might help the Condors sometime. A curious fact is that he’s brother with the creative mid of this team, Ian Mamani. He has achieved a hero status among fans due to his decisive last penalty kick save in the shootout against Omerica in the World Cup 90th in the second leg of the playoffs.

N°2 - Kevin Quispe - RCB - 25 yrs - Team: Farrenton Athletic Image - Height: 1.75 mts - Caps: 228 - Goals: 8

An average guy in terms of intelligence that has no life plan, hence he left studies to make a living with football. He is very secretive, doesn't like even to tell his teammates what his next movement will be because he knows we will be wrong, Quispe has serious issues with anger management and may be rebellious, he is cold and ignores what the others might feel or think about him, he doesn't give a fu*k of anything. Anyways, he's in his best form so far with Farrenton Athletic, being nominated as one of the top defenders of the Euran League shows how his discipline and perseverance have taken him where he stands.

N°4 - Carlos Vilca - LFB - 31 yrs - Team: Valnohar Rovers FC Image - Height: 1.78 mts - Caps: 225 - Goals: 12

Vilca exemplifies the stereotype of a Serrano, he is overly analytical and optimistic, with patience when a player might approach to him, he might take some minutes to make a mental profile of who he will face and how to block him in its right side. Despite being coordinated and loving to be the centre of attention, he loves to be quiet and solitary with his own personal code of conduct, he might be extremely fair while robbing balls and could try to be the surprise factor, since he tends to be a box-to-box player that loves to defend and also create offensive plays when possible. Right now, he’s in a great personal moment due to his critical role that helped Huayramarca to put a cohesive defence during the last World Cup Qualifier.

N°15 – Paolo Manco - RFB - 29 yrs - Team: Pumahuasi FC Image - Height: 1.73 mts - Caps: 26 - Goals: 1

Paolo Manco has been a silent substitute of the National Team for almost 8 years, although, he has been patiently waiting up for this chance, the one that has opened in front of his eyes after the departure of Omar Caicedo. The new manager has seen Manco’s ability to project himself to attack and be a box-to-box player when needed, he has a great sense of placement and knows to be at the precise place when needed. Speed is Manco’s best attribute, one that he is sure that he can apply to provide the best results for The Condors. As of now, he is ecstatic after being named a starting XI player.

N°14 - Santiago Chumacero - LCB - 30 yrs - Team: FC Atahualpa Image - Height: 1.81 mts - Caps: 230 - Goals: 20

Chumacero's perception of things might be out of this world, his mind might be steps forward the others and might help to anticipate to movements that may be done by the rival. For that purpose, he's always flexible, active and plays like he would be killed if he does a mistake, he's loyal with his team, faithful and gentle, hence he might be the motivator of the squad. Chumacero is an extremely dependable player, and it would be matter of time to see him departing from the Huayramarcan Liga 1 for a better place, as his athletic capabilities are too big to stagnate in an amateur-ish league.

N°17 - Orlando Mina - CM - 27 yrs - Team: Montréal Koreana Image - Height: 1.95 mts - Caps: 228 - Goals: 16

One of the two defensive mid of the team and, for sure, one of the best in the multiverse in his position, being the classical Costeño out there, Mina is the tallest and strongest player of the squad. Mina's attitude is being original and stubborn, giving you classical Costeño vibes, consistent in his performance and devoted to God, he cares a lot about what he does, since he tries always to correct his mistakes and not suffering on them, instead, he uses them as feedback to improve his game and abilities. Mina's a notable example on how one can benefit from football, as he helped his mother who was fired from his job when he joined to the Condors and turned her into a real estate tycoon by providing her savings. His mood is extremely positive as of now by the fact of being a key player in Montréal Koreana, and also for being named into the Testículos Player of the Year Longlist.

N°11 - Ian Mamani - CF - 27 yrs - Team: Workers Union Image - Height: 1.65 mts - Caps: 228 - Goals: 44

The youngest of the Mamani brothers in this team, along with Juan, Ian has what Juan might lack sometimes, creativity and brightness, although they play in various positions and roles in the team. This creative mid and captain of the team is one of the grandiose things among this team, a fast-paced and fussy person with lots of potential, euphoria that drives him to perform as what he can do, being the best of the entire nation in his role. Large crosses are his specialty, including long-range shots when playing on the highlands. Right now, his euphoria level has increased a lot, considering he got called to play at the Workers Union of Eura, the fact of being called captain and being on the international TV screen for WCQ and weekend matches that any random Huayramarcan broadcast fills him with motivation.

N°8 - Nicolás Allauca - CF – 32 yrs - Team: Winnipeg United Image - Height: 1.80 mts - Caps: 229 - Goals: 24

Nico was a bus driver until the last three weeks prior to WC 85 Qualifiers, when he decided to enter to the amateur football world of Huayramarca, he was in luck that Caicedo watched him plat and fell in love on how he performed. Allauca is spontaneous and may not like to do training, he is a fast-moving and extremely practical (hates theories) defensive mid, that may mutate to a second creative mid with Ian Mamani and has also a decent capability to score goals while going to attack. After having a discrete performance in Chromatika, now he moves to Québec's Winnipeg United, where he expects to keep up the tone as he does with the National Team.

N°7 - Abraham Mendoza - LF - 28 yrs - Team: Ogroven Vanguardi FK Image - Height: 1.63 mts - Caps: 228 - Goals: 25

Nicknamed “El Ingeniero” The smallest of the entire team, Mendoza is a mentally strong individual who loves to work hard, play hard and be a strong leader inside the team in terms of order. A competent but realistic player who may not be spectacular while playing on the wings, but pragmatical and effective when achieving his purposes. On his personal life he is the best positioned of all the group, since he just graduated in Industrial Engineering at the Huayramarcan Technical University with a deserved "summa cum laude", so no matter what happens, he could get a decent job position in any Huayramarcan enterprise to optimize their processes. You might notice how Abraham's personal discipline is, and this is shown even to football, where he tries to compliment weaknesses that he may have as his height, but he tries to compensate with decent body-building routines. He might not be a prolific scorer for the standards of a winger, but he has at least a 35% of assists for the total of Huayramarcan goals scored during the Qualifiers, hence, somebody to take care of.

N°21 - Gabriel Sayritupac - RF - 28 yrs - Team: Shamrock Cathair Image - Height: 1.75 mts - Caps: 205 - Goals: 77

Sayri as he's known by many people in his native Tulcán (near the Québécois-Huayramarcan border) is an artistic person in all senses of his life. Usually, he makes a living by painting portraits of people visiting the Chimborazo National Forest Reserve, sometimes working on a local brewery, or doing football for fun. He doesn't stands being alone and might be that easy-going Serrano (which is weird, if we come to think it). He has genetic problems that makes him quite prone to injuries, and when those occur, Sayri decides to get inebriated to let frustration go away. An artistical winger, lover of uncertainty and mess that makes him be either the best or cause problems to settle where he plays. As of now, he has managed to find its way on football, winning a IFCF Champions’ League with Athletik Thessia, some championships in Mytanija and now being in Audioslavia, closer to home, but eager to win more.

N°21 - Bryan Tello - ST - 33 yrs - Team: Metropolis Alligators Image - Height: 1.86 mts - Caps: 201 - Goals: 150

A decently heighted Costeño as forward is always a neat solution for your goal needs, with good pace, stride, and physic abilities Tello is what every team may need for up front. He's factual since he studied Philosophy at the University of Cumbayá, a committed and self-confident man who might be extremely traditional to his striker role, he might seek for space to go front, use his strength and move towards the goal. Tello is a strong leader among the shadows of the Huayramarcan national team, an outgoing and straight-forward person that could sometimes aggressive since he's prone to be insensitive. Despite that he is the Legend of the team, the striker that is at the right place and moment to push the ball against the net, something that has helped him retain his position as stellar striker of Metropolis Alligators in the Valladar Liga-1.

Substitutes:

Nota bene: In order to have a deeper understanding of Huayramarcan players, take in consideration the following list of personalities for the substitutes. Take time, if you wish, to read the substitute players list posted again down here and follow the order of said list. The first player on this list, has his mindset reflected in the left of the first row, the second in the right of the first row and so on until the last one:

The Kits:
Huayramarca’s social mindset is to aim for local consumption in the long term, hence the HFF decided to hire “eva Sportswear” to manufacture the kits for the national team. “eva” decided to take the ball out of the park with unique designs for Huayramarca, reflecting the national identity and adding up motivational phrases on them for mere sake of marketing. Those kits are based on the geography of this nation, from the coast to the highlands and jungle to promote a sense of national unity, especially on a stage that the national team is trying to consolidate its name in the exciting multiverse of football.

Some of the backgrounds feature Túpac Katari, one of the most famous indigenous fighters from the Sierra, who kept invaders away from Huayramarcan soil, and helped forging the alliance that gave birth to what we known as the Plurinational State of Huayramarca. Nevado Inti as symbol of strength, and a statement of outstanding size that is the highest mountain in Anaia. The force of nature such as Longevity Valley in Huancavilca, the River Yaraví, and the Rainbow Mountain, as symbols of diversity, power and unity that last through time, with an unstoppable pace.

“eva” decided to depict elements that provide sense of pride and national identification for Huayramarcans, no matter where they are from, those are universal icons of what Huayramarca is and its roots. Strong roots, legacy, and people forging their future with faith, pride, and hope.

CAFA 6: Naturals - A Huayramarcan-Hawklandian bid.

Naturals? What are you talking about? It's that part of the cycle again, nations have fought for international glory through the World Cup, Cup of Harmony or are awaiting for another chance after past CAFA experiences. Fans and National Teams alike are awaiting to travel and fight for regional glory, but with a different flavour... What about if the teams and fans choose where they want to play according to natural environments? Huayramarca and United Hawkland have different terrains that may suit the preferences of all the teams, depending on what they use to feel at home or where they play abroad.

In case we are elected, we will run for three days a google form where we will let nations choose, in order of preference, the environment where they would play the Group Stage of the CAFA, and probably, will determine the path for the knockouts. The options are listed by nation:

Huayramarca: The Highlands (playing at 4,000 meters above sea level), the Jungle (opulence and mosquitoes), Coast (nice weather, horrible traffic jams), the San Carlos Islands (paradise).

United Hawkland: Østad with its bright sun, Royal Ryan with a somewhat green scenery (quite cold), Pacifica with a polar-y weather, and Orleans with its warm weather almost year-round.

Format: We are projecting two options, be it for 24 or 32 teams. We will keep things simple yet entertaining here, as we will opt for six groups of 4 teams for a situation with 24 teams, while for 32 we will use the traditional 8 groups of 4. Depending on sign-ups movement, we could offer alternative formats to accomodate the number of participants.

In regards of the knockouts, considering that the CAFA is a tournament that could enhance some interesting local narratives coming from some zones, from having an interesting friendship to forge the ultimate sporting, we would like to push for a narrative of local derbies as much as possible. Geographical ubication on the Anaian map will be a criteria to build the pairings for the knock-outs, accomodating teams to face the closest team available (unless they have faced them in the group stage, in which we will choose another close team to avoid repetition). This format aims to encourage local derbies and add an interesting dose of randomness to the knockouts pairings.

Aside, to provide more action to nations, those who are eliminated in the knockout stages will join to a second bracket, that will determine placements and will also be the road for the 3PPO, providing more chances for those nations who just had a bad day on a decisive stage of their run.

Tiebreakers: We will use the same system used in World Cup 93:

Points
Goal difference
Head-to-head points
Head-to-head goal difference
IC coinflip — an additional match is scorinated, in a neutral venue, utilising only RP bonus, with ties turned off.

Technical: Xkoranate 0.3.3 with the SQIS formula will be used, neutral venues, and the usual -/+ 5 style mod set, using the updated CAFA ranks provided by our rank keeper. When it comes to RPing, we will provide brevity bonus for those RPs below 500 words, as counted by Word Counter and/or by guiding on the different ideas that will be provided when posting the scores for each match-day. Bonuses will be generous and will emphasise on creativity and quality of the content overall rather than the quantity of words; CAFA is meant to enhance creativity through inputs, and we will make sure to keep walking on that path.

Hosting Experience: Huayramarca has some hosting experience back with his old nation, San José Guayabal, in the shape of hosting Baptism of Fire 56, World Cups 70, 74, 77, Cup of Harmony 63 and 65, also helping with scorination of World Cup 73 qualifiers, and then some Campionatos Esportivanos. After some time outside of hosting, the user comes with desire to help United Hawkland to gain some hosting experience, which they already have with the Anaian Hockey Championship, with the expectation of adding one more member to the potential host pool for future tournaments.

Any questions or explanation in regards of the bid, we will be ready to answer as fast as possible for us.

Population: 36 million, demonym: Huayramarcan, capital city: Chuquiago, languages: Spanish, Quechua, Aymara + 6

LEXANDRIJA
Preferred Formation:
3-5-2
Style Modifier: 2
Kit Supplier: Cloaker
Captain: Cass Ardashir
Nickname: The Illuminated

Something's... not quite right in Lexandrija (former Iskandervale). They're being very secretive about a certain incident. It's nothing to worry about... in theory. Because they can see something, now: what they refer to simply as the Glory. Ignore the clicking of those geiger counters. Ignore the bright green eyes and pale skin, and the patches of missing hair. Those are the blessed. The enlightened. The Illuminated. And it's that young generation in the process of sweeping out the old blood.

Lexandrija has produced three exceptional footballers: Ishtar Fanaiyan, Servet Misidjan, Voska Avetisyan. All three played for Nephara instead. There's a substantial Lexandri diaspora in Nephara, and elsewhere in Anaia, but the nation's trying to build something more sustainable as the scars of war hopefully begin to recede ...

Tactics
Image
First-choice lineup. Pace and power will be the watchwords, hoping to make up in physicality what they lack in skill, and given their Nepharan origins they will be brutal and uncompromising both in tackling and in gamesmanship. They're going to come flying at teams, especially down the right, with Nasir Majerle a gifted attacking player and natural forward linking up with the playmaker Talay, but may well get brutally exposed on the counterattack, especially given the sluggish pace of their defence.

Staff
Manager: Parvidzhon Borrowfield - Age 48

Once a centre-half, then assistant, now Borrowfield's running the rule over the whole thing. An iron-fisted tyrant, believed to be something of a minor acolyte of Skorjiball. If the main issue managing people who once played alongside you is making sure they all know you aren't their mate... well, job done.

Goalkeepers
1 - GK - Hansa Tabasi - Age 28 - Hornchurch (EUR)
12 - GK - Reza Schmidt - Age 33 - Workers Union (EUR)
20 - GK - Knoll Petrosian - Age 25 - Teragaseri (KOR)

Lexandrija are afflicted with the problem of many small nations: three of their best players are goalkeepers. The gangly and unorthodox but effective Tabasi has emerged to become the undoubted first-choice, though Schmidt served capably for years and Petrosian will likely, at some stage, get his chance.

Defenders
3 - LCB - Yazdegerd Turnbull - Age 34 - KT Koroatuz (AUD)
5 - CB - Vega Castor - Age 26 - Navakor Farchija
6 - CB - Carmilla Evansjan - Age 22 - Concordija
16 - CB - Artaxerxes Bowman - Age 28 - SK Sandfjell (CNR)
18 - CB - Cass Ardashir - Age 32 - AC Pomena (JUE)
24 - CB - Iryna Nemethjan - Age 20 - Padideh

The main area of concern for Lexandrija. Yazdegerd - who prefers to play at leftback anyway - is still holding down one side of the back line at 34, while nobody else bar Ardashir has ever especially convinced.

Midfielders
2 - RWB - Carrick Gerhardtjan - Age 20 - BT Ming (CMT)
4 - DM - Electra Casabjan - Age 23 - Maynard AFC (KOR)
7 - RWB - Nasir Majerle - Age 32 - Scott City FC (DAR)
8 - CM - Seth Rezaei - Age 27 - Umbershore Rovers
11 - CM - Tasha Kamarandan - Age 28 - Felswyr (CMT)
15 - LWB - Odette Saighani - Age 31 - Kurtz Herretik (MRT)
17 - CM - Estelle Karpovjan - Age 22 - Concordija
19 - DM - Tania Makazjan - Age 20 - Lokomotjva Iskandabad
22 - LWB - Yon Maurtua - Age 31 - KT Ferramendiak (AUD)
23 - CM - Jon-Jafar Latham - Age 28 - Gaelic Club (TLI)
25 - AM - Colwyn Blake - Age 27 - Navakor Farchija
26 - CM - Luna Xerxes - Age 22 - Endeavour Brenecia (BRE)

Has evolved into quite a strong unit, bizarrely. Tasha Kamarandan is the best player to have ever actually represented Iskandervale, a fluid midfield technician around whom the entire side flows. The young, electrifying Luna Xerxes offers craft alongside her. The two wingbacks of choice are worryingly old - though there's serious hope in Gerhardtjan - while Electra Casabjan is a promising upcomer.

Forwards
9 - ST - Freya Martinjan - Age 23 - Metalljrg Vakhqul
10 - ST - Rijan Kovacjan - Age 21 - Couziers-Olympiques (KOR)
13 - ST - Schehera Asquith - Age 20 - Lokomotjva Iskandabad
14 - ST - Shamshira Kadhim - Age 28 - Bradwell Saints (KRY)
21 - ST - Tifera Dimitrijevjan - Age 21 - Padideh

As the current elder stateswoman amidst a young, talented new flock of chartreuse-eyed marksfolk, Shamshira Kadhim is going to have to step up; always a player of promise, she's going to bear most of the side's attacking hopes. Clotho Sulaka, the relatively prolific striker of the prior generation, will be missed, but there's serious potential in the likes of Kovacjan.

Successor to Iskandervale. Puppet of Evermark.

Making their return after a cycle off…

RP permission and other basics
If you RP the match first, your permissions are my permissions. Seriously, whatever you’re okay with folks doing to your team is what I grant you for mine. I reserve the right to make minor “corrections”/disagreements in my narrative when it comes to my team (like, say, “reports of Xavier Boyle’s death were mildly exaggerated -- he’ll miss the next match”), but otherwise, you do you. On the off chance that your permissions are also a mirror (the dreaded “Medusa situation”), pretty much do what you want to my team, noting the above.

About Legalese

Legalese is a quiet, medium-sized nation sitting near the geographic center of Anaia. While it has been a host of multiple World Cups, Cups of Harmony, Baptisms of Fire, and Regionals (including the Inaugural CAFA Cup), only one trophy (a Cup of Harmony) has resulted from that side. But no matter, this team just keeps moving onward.

Full Nation Name: The Unified Communities of Legalese
Short/Common Use Name: Legalese
Three-Letter Designation: LGL
Denonym: Legalite
Governing Body: The Federation of Assocation Football, simply referred to as The Federation

The Team
Shirt numbers to the left, names to the right -- What’s on the kit is in All Caps.

Keepers
1 KAWACATOOSE Swamp Johnson.
Kawacatoose Swamp Johnson is a tall, glib, and dramatic goalkeeper from Weshongtun. He is known for his tendency to hug the goal line, making it difficult for opposing players to score. He uses both his physical presence and his personality to maximize any potential psychological advantage he can get over his opponents, as they may feel intimidated by his size and quick wit. However, his glibness can sometimes come across as arrogance or insincerity.

22 Christy CHAPPLE
23 Umar Titus BEAR

Defenders
2 Finn O’CONNOR-GRIMES
O'Connor-Grimes hails from Cabe. His strength and patience make him an asset to the side, as he knows when to pick his battles, and win them as needed. Finn is also the side's most adept corner kick taker.

3 Jack FARMER (C)
Jack Farmer leads the defence and the overall side as team captain. He's been described as rational and constructive, which works well with his lanky frame to keep up with speedy attackers. Despite his surname, Jack usually spends his off time back in Repods working as a plumber.

4 Rory Fitzsimmons-KARNE
Around his hometown of Hitchfield, they just call him RFK. Rory is a commanding presence on the pitch, given his height (slightly over six feet), along with a build to match. He can be a bit of a fiery personality, which can both provide a spark, but also cause him to see red.

5 Gagan EPSOM
Gagan Epsom, meanwhile, just exudes calm on the pitch -- no wonder he leads meditative retreats in his down time. The right fullback, hailing from the tiny hamlet of Bonghemtun, is known for using his side and pace to his advantage, getting down the pitch quicker than you expect for a fullback, and moving further into the attack. His calm demeanor can be a grounding force for the side, so it's no wonder that the side looks to him when the chips are down.

12 Uwohali George TOMPKINS
13 Rebekah ROURKE
14 Matthew BOHAN
15 Ella POWLESS

Midfielders
6 Jack MOSES
Jack Moses plays with a cold seriousness and focus that fits an upbringing in the vast plains. The Chollam native fills the anchor man role by focusing on control. He's not the most outgoing person, but on the pitch, he'll serve that link between the defense and the midfield well.

7 Archibald Corcoran “AC” SHEEHY
AC Sheehy likely learned to be concise due to the name saddled upon him. Hailing from the town of Winne, Sheehy's style is little flash, all competence, as he serves in the box-to-box midfield role.

8 LINDO
Why just Lindo? Nobody's quite sure. The rumors are that he gave his first name and middle initial (Robert S.) away to help the poor; others claim that he decided that the only way to experience true joy and zest for life was to only keep what brings you happiness. Either way, the lithe midfielder from Oveta approaches his role as the architect for the attack with one of joy and zest.

16 Sherman SCARR
17 Roddy NELSON
18 Tevin DOXTATOR
19 Dale MCINERNEY
20 Sammy-Jo Hill-TANNER

Forwards
9 Richie FUNDERBUNK
Richie Funderbunk seems too quiet to be a goalscorer. The striker from Cenesirege is described as contemplative by his friends. Those who see him on the pitch often describe him as nimble and coordinated. Anyone who looks at the goals he scores, though, would call him an opportunist; he has a very low shot count, but scores on an exceedingly high percentage of them.

10 Jorge WHELAN
The thing about Jorge is that he's genuine, and very real, in the same way that decorative gourds can be very real (as can the smell should one leave them to rot). This realness often comes with a tendency to be blunt and filterless -- though he claims that people from Callsville are just like that. On the pitch, he's able to translate that into the role of squatter in your mindspace. If we're being real, Jorge is a bit of a prick.

11 ANOKI Molloy-McMahon
True to their name, Anoki Molloy-McMahon is a quiet presence on the pitch. The Rochbarg-by-way-of-Tyrellia striker is most likely of the three up front to provide the chaos up top. As a poacher, AMM aims to use their quiet movement and minimal participation in the control of the game to pop up at the last second in the right spot.

21 Leo HILL-Tanner
24 Mark BRADY
25 Lily TONAWANDA

Manager: Chogan Williams.
Chogan Williams continues a recent tradition of unorthodox choices for manager of the Legalese side. Hailing from Denby, Williams comes into the competition with coaching experience, but not much of a track record. Whatever tactical creativity you see out of this side will likely come from his assistants, Aisling Titterington and Mikaela Sampson. Insiders say that Titterington is the creative thinker and tactician of the bunch, but that Sampson provides a sensible realism through her tendency to be the deep researcher on the opposition.

The Eleven/Playing Style
Players numbered 1 - 11 above are the intended typical starting XI (I even gave you bios of them), but anyone in the 25 is liable to see action.

If one were to use "style" as a complimentary term, then most may say that Legalite football is rarely played with any style. The national team sides of recent history (as well as one that was both recent history and antiquity) have been known for contesting everything -- or at least possession, though in the past, referees have not been safe either. One can expect the on-field chaos-generation to continue, though perhaps with a bit more of a balanced measure. The assumption is that a 4-3-3 is likely on tap as the go-to formation, but we'll see what tricks the braintrust has in mind.

The Kits
Image
From left to right: Primary, Change, Keeper

Description of Kits:
Primary: Black short-sleeved shirt with a red collar, and a red and white solid stripe running diagonally from the right hip to the left shoulder; solid black shorts. Numbers on the front over the right side of the chest and lower left of shorts (as well as on on the back of the shirt) all in white, using the Mexcellent 3D font.
Change: Red short-sleeved shirt with a white collar and white trim on the sleeves; a black sash runs diagonally from the right hip to the left shoulder; the sash is not solid, but as if hand-splashed on the kit; solid black shorts. Numbers on the front over the right side of the chest and the lower left of the shorts (as well as on the back of the shirt) all in gold, using the Mexcellent 3D font.
Keeper: Blue short-sleeved shirt with white collar and cuffs, with a gradient of gold dots shrinking in size across the front. Over the shirt is a series of stripes in the form of a sash running from the right hip to the left shoulder, starting as black in color on the lower portion, before transitioning to red just below the heart. Shorts and numbers are as described in the change kit.
All kits contain the Legalese Crest, which takes the Legalese flag (A Determination Red Scarp on a black field, with the Scales of Equality superimposed in white), and encloses it in a Nonagon outlined in Gold. This crest sits on the heart and the lower-right short front for all players, regardless of kit style.
