I would imagine sensors and payload on an aircraft that weighs a little more than a general aviation aircraft would be very limited compared to a full-sized radar on an AEWC plane. In numbers they might have a more notable effect?

I have no clue as of now. I know, though, that the M-108 AWACS will only feature sensors, not weapons. That's what the cruiser and other drones are for. ; )

Sounds fair. AWACS aircraft are generally not armed either ways.

Unless it’s the A-50 "Mainstay," which to my memory may or may not retain the twin 23mm aft turret.

That being said, I could offer basing rights off the Leyte-based (in-universe being a given) installations.

You are correct on the Mainstay part, alas I operate Wedgetails and E-2s, neither of which carry anything weaponized.

If you are willing to do that, it'd also make sense to ask if we could base a squadron (12) of Super Hornets, primarily for fleet air defense but likely also going to be made available for strike missions as-needed.. Was trying to avoid the overkill of bringing an additional Carrier Task Group to play. I think that and an additional warship will be plenty to protect the fleet for now at least.

Glimpse from the front:

[CORRUPTED] Ongpauco, [CORRUPTED]
[CORRUPTED] San Jose, MR
January 3, AD 2023
[CORRUPTED]

[CORRUPTED] Ongpauco had been behind bars for four days. The last thing he remembered before coming to was a fierce firefight in the streets of [CORRUPTED], where he was separated from his squad by Visayan fire. He didn’t expect the Mindoreños—they had to be Mindoreños, judging from the division patches of the men who even now kept watch over him and other POWs—to put up such a fierce resistance; in fact, he expected a hero’s welcome into what the higher-ups have called a Restored Mindoro, full of Lost Tagalogs welcoming His Majesty’s Embrace with open arms of their own.
The fighting in Calapan disabused him of that notion in short order; [CORRUPTED]

Snippet update:

[CORRUPTED] Liao, [CORRUPTED]
[CORRUPTED] Allen, SM
January 20th, AD 2023
[CORRUPTED]

The takeover of Allen, Samar did not come easily. [CORRUPTED] Liao knew this firsthand; as one of several [CORRUPTED] tasked with staying behind to keep eyes and ears on the situation, it rankled him to see New Filipino boots on the ground. But it was a necessary act; as a banker, he had all the cover he needed to be beneath the notice of the Royal Philippine Constabulary and its men. It didn’t hurt that his branch of BoVI had been taken over with little in the way of personnel rearrangements; from what he understood, His Philippine Majesty’s Civil Service did not want to waste otherwise functional infrastructure.
It made his time somewhat...inconvenient...as every day, he would be visited by someone from that body of His Philippine Majesty’s Crown Government. The functionary, [CORRUPTED], was an overall well-meaning man who just happened to be on the wrong side of the War, and it was a shame, too. Especially since [CORRUPTED]

Come to think of it, I'm starting to realize this would be like a collaborative version of a Maintenance thread...

Anyway, snippet update:

[CORRUPTED] Valencia, [CORRUPTED]
[CORRUPTED] Allen, SM
February 7, 2023
[CORRUPTED]

There was no mincing things; Valencia was seeing the New Filipino forces in action as they moved to secure their influence over that Capitalist town. A shame the Reactionaries held these Visayans under heel, but that’s what happens, he thought as he saw [CORRUPTED] making their way through the streets.
[CORRUPTED] was no stranger to such things; he lived in Allen for the better part of [CORRUPTED] and was publicly known as a small business owner, running a clothing store with an eclectic selection of shirts, pants, and the like. He made some fast friends in the process; most of his stock was imported from Cambodia and Bangladesh, and his importer gave him and several favored store owners first pick of every batch that came in. It also helped that [CORRUPTED] was an old friend of his parents, going way back to [CORRUPTED]

Bangsamoro ORBAT and MSS Assets In Field (WIP)

Postby Bangsamoro Rojo » Thu Mar 02, 2023 5:31 am

Bangsamoro Ministry of State Security
Minister of State Security: Ramon J. Francisco
Subminister for Security Operations: Domingo J. Talaboc

  • Reaver Cell
  • Sharkbait Cell
  • Serpent Cell
  • Shorewatch Cell
  • Riptide Cell
  • Sellsword Cell
  • Shotclock Cell
  • Shopwatch Cell

Per Comrade Minister's request, I have listed the cells we know are still active and fully operational; the activity undertaken by the Reactionaries has triggered fail-safes in the cells that have yet to confirm their status. Until we have confirmation of status, there is reason to believe that the other cells have either been compromised or otherwise forced to go to ground.

Bangsamoro Ministry of Defense
Minister of Defense: Marshal Evan O. Dominguez, BLA
Chief of the General Staff, Bangsamoro Liberation Army: Senior General Klaus S. Kilat, BLA
Commissar-General of the Bangsamoro Liberation Army: General Nicolas Karim V. Dionson, BLA

    BLAGF assets
  • 1st Vanguard Infantry Division - Major General Marvin G. Bravo, BLAGF
  • 1st Vanguard Armored Division - Major General Rashid O. Rahman, BLAGF
  • 3rd People's Infantry Division - Major General Christine O. Elias, BLAGF
  • 4th People's Infantry Division - Major General Lionel I. Perez, BLAGF
  • TBA
    BLAN assets
  • Task Force Red Star - Senior Captain 1st Rank Winston I. Nursultan, BLAN
    • ARPB Red Star - Luyang III-class DDG - Captain 1st Rank Vicente I. Abdulaziz, BLAN
    • ARPB Digos - Luyang II-class DDG - Captain 2nd Rank Oscar M. Isnari, BLAN
    • TBA
    BLAMC assets
  • 1st Vanguard Marine Battalion - Lieutenant Colonel Richard A. Mandin, BLAMC
  • TBA
    BLAAF assets
  • 2nd Vanguard Strike Wing - Colonel Ramil A. Mohammad, BLAAF
  • TBA

Per Comrade Minister's request, I have listed the units we have available in the unlikely, yet not impossible, event that the Reactionaries prevail over the Capitalists. The Commissar-General's foresight is highly warranted in the months to come.

In the meantime, our Weltkrian comrades have sent a force to participate in Exercise POPULAR REVOLT 23, the annual exercise that has been moved up from its regular schedule every June to February owing to the activity undertaken by the Reactionaries.

Updated my ORBAT to include the addition of 2 Carrier Task Group; and the addition of an LPD to 1 ARG in keeping with lore/doctrinal updates on my end as part of the initial force contribution. Afforementioned AWACS and land-based Hornets will not be initial force contributions but may be surged later given viability on the ground.

Hypothetically, something roughly comparable to what the SEA is providing to the NVI. While revanchism is generally not seen as a legitimate casus belli in-universe, successful annexations tend to be treated as a fait accompli, never mind the efforts taken to reverse them.

Features: near-universal gun ownership, governmental dysfunction, terrified Christinaslander Air National Guard personnel counting down the days until they rotate back home, and an eternal standoff with the last of it's former oppressors.

Well, what I had in mind spontanously was not exactly comparable, for instance, you won't see any aircraft carriers or CGs, or even smaller troop deployments, but do any of you remember Ahua? From when I tried my hand at a Not!WW2-RP? What if there is a nationalistic, irredentist party is in charge again and they decide to support New Luzon with war material through various shady channels?
Either that or the LCN, the Lutetiian Mafia, assists New Luzon in finding mercenaries.
Or both, depending on what you want, NVI.

If Ahua can play in the 21st Century AD, I can find a way to make it work.

LCN, lest memory fails me, had an in with the Visayan underground in 2020, so I can think up an underground supply line for “Independent Partisan Ops” (read: Visayan [and to a lesser extent, Bangsamoro] spy rings leaving a Big Bang somewhere to mask their cleaning house) close enough to the front.

Hmm.

I'll probably send a couple destroyers and a LHD to help ensure our fellow revolutionaries (Bangsamoro) are not attacked. Will probably send a couple of SIGINT aircraft over as well, along with a couple of SOF teams and equipment to support them and their allies.

May I ask what their objectives are here?

Ahua can in 21st century - I'll just have to write it as such. ; )
(I plan to bring some Auwaltian Royalty for the Aurelia's Big Fat Kyrenaian Wedding anyway, so that is not a great issue.)

In the case of the Bangsamoro People’s Republic, the primary objective is all cloak-and-dagger: ensuring that its MSS assets are as safe as possible even in the middle of the war between Capitalist and Reactionary.

Alright then, initial ORBAT. Would it be possible to arrange a port call and base some ships out of Surigao?
Going to place a CTF on standby if this spirals out of control and allies are attacked; it'll take a couple days to muster and surge if that occurs.

[CORRUPTED]

It rankled her to see the boots of the Old Country—her parents' words for the nation they fled long before they met—tread Visayan soil, preaching unity to those who were not fortunate enough to escape with the fighting retreat of the Army—a fighting retreat that, to be fair, made the NewFils bleed for every inch—and dispensing liberally the price of rejecting that unity. The occupation of the city saw not only the iron hand of the invaders, but also what she saw was a charm offensive aimed at pacifying the Mindorites who weren’t lucky enough to escape; she saw the propaganda for what it really was, and that it was looped by what she knew to be the firefighting unit of New Luzon's Integrated Police wherever she went.
It wasn't that she was among the unfortunate; [CORRUPTED]
