Overview: Representing the largest city in Flavovespia, and one of the Big 3 clubs historically, Hadford Hill have an enviable past. Even in the modern era, nobody has beaten their joint highest 7 Super League titles. However, it’s been over a quarter century since those, and times since have been below their historical standards. Last season after a poor start, Marcus McCormick was sacked after 13 games and Robert Turton came in as interim manager. With 10 games left, Hadford Hill were still in the relegation zone, but a late surge sent them all the way up to 8th, ahead of their Big 3 rivals. In the Flavovespia Gold Cup, it was a Round 4 exit in an entertaining 4-3 loss to eventual winners Stanmorn.
At the very minimum Hadford Hill won’t want another relegation scrap, with performances for much of the season not up to scratch. The 34AU near-miracle to finish 2nd aside, the club have been bouncing around the midtable since their Super League return, and look likely to do so again. Anything more than midtable looking at their current squad would likely be a bonus and a good sign for Robert Turton’s managerial credentials.
Manager: Robert Turton (48) – A former striker who’s past clubs included Hadford Hill and Bavingtor, Turton found himself the manager of Hadford Hill last season after a poor start by Marcus McCormick. Promoted from the reserves, he took a while to get his side into a good rhythm, but when they did they really played well. A manager with a bit of a quiet, evasive personality, not one for confrontation and tries to go about his business in a calm and smart way. This transfer market will be interesting as his first experience of it from the dugout.
Transfers:
Steven Hall 37 RAM Loxthorpe Rovers FC -> Hadford Hill FC £11m
David Jones 18 CF Sporting Towerhaite -> Hadford Hill FC £6m
Colin Correa 23 RAM Bavingtor FC -> Hadford Hill FC £5.5m
Robert Cooper 30 RAM Hadford Hill FC -> Bavingtor FC £17.5m
Adrian Cooper 22 CB Hadford Hill FC -> Butterfield Rovers FC £5m
Squad: The big story for Hadford Hill concerns incoming transfers. With Robert Cooper sold to Bavingtor, for a fee of £17.5m, Hadford Hill needed a new right winger or attacking midfielder. The answer was one of their club legends, Steven Hall. Whilst £11m seems expensive for a 37 year old, he was still performing well for Loxthorpe Rovers last season, and in the eyes of many fans, seeing Steven Hall back in the Red #11 for Hadford Hill is a price worth paying. Also coming in is David Jones, he got some minutes for Sporting Towerhaite last season, and Hadford Hill were impressed by his potential and won the bidding war to sign him. Colin Correa also comes in, going the other way to Robert Cooper, with an eye on the future with that transfer. Leaving is Adrian Cooper, with the player keen to go somewhere with more first team chances.
Lining up in goal is Garry Bowles, a goalkeeper who’s received much praise and may think could one day be capped for Flavovespia. Reg Cupit and Matthew Lynch are naturally wing backs, but for Hadford Hill need to play slightly deeper as full backs, although the 4-3-3 can transition into a 3-4-3 in attack. At centre back, Christopher Hills joins Stephen Brown as starting centre backs, with Tom Roberts and Roy John experienced back ups. The midfield trio sees the international pair of Marko Djuradjić and Barrett Rhinqvist joined by Gary Smith, with Smith likely to lead the attacks. Richard Featherstone or Islam Sheikh are also options if some more attacking power is needed through the middle. In the forward positions, Steven Hall will hope to show that age is just a number, as he returns to the right winger positon for his boyhood club where he made the name for himself. Imran Butt will hope to show he was worth the fee paid the previous season as a left winger. In attack, Mark Paul is a proven goalscorer at this level, but he now has David Jones as an understudy keen to take his spot sooner rather than later.

Overview: Robert Ellis raised a few eyebrows with his appointment, having struggled at Loxthorpe Rovers. Whilst slow off the mark initially, he got Binclestead Wood close to the top of the table by halfway, including a fiercely fought derby win over Bavingtor. In the end however, Binclestead Wood finished 7th, and their rivals won the Super League again. The side in the north of the Centrelands are playing second fiddle to their rivals at the moment, even if Binclestead Wood have for the most part had a very solid return to the Super League after promotion a decade ago. Binclestead Wood made it to the semi finals to the Flavovespia Gold Cup last year, but were beaten by eventual winners Stanmorn.
Binclestead Wood go into this season fairly confident they should be in the top half again, but know that the IFCF qualifying spots could be a tougher challenge to reach. 7th last season, that leaves 6 teams they’d need to overtake, and all look stronger on paper. Nevertheless Robert Ellis showed at Apsbrooke he can defy the odds and do well with less resources than the big clubs.
Manager: Robert Ellis (67) – A very down to earth manager, beginning his managerial career in non-league with no professional playing experience. Despite struggles at Loxthorpe Rovers in 37AU, leading to the sack after 10 league games, Robert Ellis found himself more at home in Binclestead Wood. Often he’s wearing a tracksuit and a cap, and holding a flask of tea, but his tactical knowledge of the game, despite seemingly playing a rudimentary 4-4-2, shouldn’t be underestimated.
Transfers:
Thomas Burrows 30 CF Columbia City -> Binclestead Wood FC £20m
Kloro McManus 25 (MRT) CB Vixceinion -> Binclestead Wood FC £10m
James Lowther 25 LAM Kings Lunsel FC -> Binclestead Wood FC £6.5m
Stuart Smith 28 CAM Binclestead Wood FC -> BT Ming £15m
Alexander May 37 CB Binclestead Wood FC -> Apsbrooke FC £3m
Squad:
A fair amount of money has been spent to try and solve the problem of age with Binclestead Wood’s strikers. Thomas Burrows comes in after a relatively successful time in Tumbra, returning to Flavovespian shores. A known goalscorer, but £20m is certainly not a cheap investment, especially for a 30 year old. Kloro McManus is signed to boost the defence, his tackles can be as brutal as his insults to the opposition. James Lowther is signed to give more depth on the wings in attack, and likely to start some games. Stuart Smith departs, the club and Ellis choosing to sell him with Smith unable to fit the tactical setup despite his skill. Alexander May also departs, the feisty international will likely finish his career and begin coaching at Apsbrooke.
Toby Curry starts in goal, a dependable goalkeeper at this level who has a good rapport with the fans. Vic Johnson starts as left back, after a decent first season for Binclestead Wood in that role. Kloro McManus joins veteran Jacob Jamieson as centre back. Michael Hadley and Amar Kataria will however likely get game time as well, with an eye to seeing if they can be starters in the future seasons. Thomas Wilmott plays as right back, the 25 year old having come through the ranks at Binclestead Wood. Like a fair few teams, Binclestead Wood play with more defensive central midfielders and more attacking wide midfielders. Gotzon “Gordon” Berystain and Alexander Clarkson are both midfielders who feel able to win the ball and play the ball progressively between them. David Hulme was a bit lacklustre last season, he’ll hope to fire up or face James Lowther replacing him on the left wing. On the right wing, Amrik Singh, now a Flavovespia international, is the star of the team, but it could well be his last season here, with interest from elsewhere rising. In attack, Thomas Burrows will slot in alongside Buburhunak Zinaurtherinthen, the latter very popular at Binclestead Wood for 5 years, and will likely retire here a real club icon. Stephen Nichols drops to the bench, but he’s a capable rotational option with his experience.

Overview:
On the south coast of Flavovespia and the Centrelands is Kings Lunsel. A club that has played in every classic and modern era top flight season, one of only 3 to do so, they’re one of the most famous sides in the nation historically, outside of the Big 3. Their black and white striped kit, and fierce rivalry with Abbots Lunsel, possibly the most aggressive of all in the nation, are also well known. Last season wasn’t one of particular success though. 6th in the end meant no international club football, with Kings Lunsel also eliminated in the quarter finals of the Flavovespia Gold Cup by Marthorpe City, and an upset loss in Round 2 of the League Cup at home to Capton Club.
Ray Socorro has generally been considered a successful manager at the club, but after last season he’ll be feeling the pressure. Despite what bookies, pundits and experts claim, the fans will absolutely expect a return to international club football. On paper it’s certainly not impossible to achieve that, or even have an outside run at the title, but if the team aren’t up to scratch, it could be another season where they’re stood outside looking up. The club have a proud history and in the last decade have never finished outside the Top 8, but the crucial Top 5 spots can be tougher to break into.
Manager: Ray Socorro (52) [TKT] – Despite Kings Lunsel underperforming last season, the manager from Tikariot has done enough in the past to earn another season at least at Kings Lunsel. He has an enthusiastic charisma about him, and often gets the best out of players some others overlook. Often plays a 4-3-3, but can switch it up to a 4-4-2. His main criticism is a lack of delivering in crucial situations.
Transfers:
Julian Ellis 26 GK Waldster FC -> Kings Lunsel FC £15m
Steven Blakesley 24 CF South Maishop FC -> Kings Lunsel FC £8m
James Lowther 25 LAM Kings Lunsel FC -> Binclestead Wood FC £6.5m
James Johnston 21 GK Kings Lunsel FC -> Hadford Hill FC £0m
Squad:
Kings Lunsel went big for a new goalkeeper, and landed on Julian Ellis. £15m was a steep fee for a club without IFCF football this season, but the club and Socorro have been impressed with his performances for Waldster and Gann before that. Also signed was Steven Blakesley, the striker from relegated South Maishop drew a fair amount of interest and thus commanded a fairly hefty fee for a player from a relegated side. Nevertheless, he clearly has the skills and potential to be influential in the Super League. Leaving is James Lowther, with no first team football imminent he’s decided to try his hand elsewhere. James Johnston departs on a free transfer, with little chance as well of playing for Kings Lunsel.
Julian Ellis will take over in goal, with 36 year old Robert Jones, a real club icon, finally being replaced. Ellis will have big boots to fill, but will fancy himself as one of the better goalkeepers in the division. Kings Lunsel have plenty of international defenders, but the 36 year old Kirk Battle drops to the bench, with Paul Bizzell having the chance to stake his claim for his home town club, following increasing involvement last season. Kausjasteul Rilastadhaunden joins him in central defence, with the international duo of Vesuvius Feist and Grigori Reich considered one of the best full back pairings in the Super League. An experienced midfield sees the well-liked flair-filled Steven Hurricane play alongside Murad Ahmed, a good all-around central midfielder, and the physical Daniel Laverne. Viper von Lisenburg will play on the left wing, a real enigma with the ability to cross or shot well. Aladdin Gilbert on the other wing has a lot of pace and bravery. Both will look to help Anthony Hannigan, he’s reached 30 but is still quick and a threat to any Super League defence and goalkeeper.

Overview: Everpresent in the top flight, in both the classic and modern era, Loxthorpe Rovers are a well known club, and after the Big 3, have a good case for being one of the historic “best of the rest”. The Eastlands club represent the city of Loxthorpe, towards the south of the region and not too far from Waldster, but far enough away to feel like an Eastern city and not a part of Outer Waldster. Their rivalry with Langmere Green Rovers, with both clubs in a great spell this decade, has become one of the most exciting rivalries nationally. Last season Loxthorpe Rovers were in a tough battle for an IFCF Challengers Cup qualifying spot, but in the end pulled it off. It was a tougher time in the domestic cups, with a Round 3 exit in the Flavovespia Gold Cup at the hands of Garden City. Nevertheless Victor Adeyemo, a popular figure as a player, was making himself a popular figure as a manager, at least for now.
Whilst the dream for Loxthorpe Rovers is more titles, they’ll go into 39AU knowing that’s an unlikely result. Fans would also love to finish above rivals Langmere Green Rovers, although the early signs are that their rivals to the north are better placed this season. Consolidation of international club football will be a good outcome, given the competitiveness in that area of the table now, and maybe a good cup run too.
Manager: Victor Adeyemo (42) – A well-liked player, Victor Adeyemo stepped up from the reserves manager role in 37AU, guiding Loxthorpe Rovers far away from danger and almost to international club football. He managed to get his side international club football last season, doing so in decent fashion. Often seen as a witty, light-hearted character, he’s more tactically astute than plenty give him credit for
Transfers:
Kier Jeffery 23 (MRT) CB Century Mertagne FMFC -> Loxthorpe Rovers FC £10m
Adam Collier 27 LM Vale FC -> Loxthorpe Rovers FC £7m

Paul Amos 21 CB Loxthorpe Rovers FC -> Bavingtor FC £12m
Steven Hall 37 RAM Loxthorpe Rovers FC -> Hadford Hill FC £11m
Andrew Payne 35 RB Loxthorpe Rovers FC -> Vale FC £0m
Squad: Loxthorpe Rovers ended the transfer window with a net profit in the end, with more prominent outgoings than incomings. Kier Jeffrey is the most notable name coming in, a young centre-back with a surprising ability from the spot. Still room to improve for him, and likely to start amongst an ageing defence and the departure of promising young talent Paul Amos. Adam Collier comes in, to provide depth and more competition in midfield. And Stephen Moore returns, only as a backup with one eye on a future coaching career, but if needed he can still deliver. Steven Hall is the big departure out. £11m for a 37 year old seems steep, but he holds sentimental value for Hadford Hill, and despite his age was still delivering the goods last season. Andrew Payne also leaves on a free, to see out his career elsewhere.
Lucky Diamond may be out of the national team picture now, but the eccentric goalkeeper remains the #1 choice for Loxthorpe Rovers, even if his sweeper keeper days aren’t quite as advanced as before. At centre back, it’ll be Kier Jeffrey to lineup alongside Alastair Ross, but expect both Nazir Hussain and Vigfús Bensson to get some minutes. Andrew Dance will hope to continue to be one of the Super League’s top right backs, with Cliff Thompson hoping to flourish at left back. In midfield, Nepharan duo Dorain Ballard and Asher Corby are a pair of defensive midfielders who certainly make more enemies than friends. The experience of Shug de la Fontaine and Robert Totten is joined by Philip Swales, the young right attacking midfielder looking to show off his great dribbling skills. Expect as well Anthony Lane to get time, seen as one of the club’s most promising young players. Up front, Andrew Brocklehurst will hope to finally deliver on his potential, with Sean McClafferty and Peter Gann able to take his spot instead. What Loxthorpe Rovers lack in outright star power, they make up for with a lot of depth in positions.

Overview:
In the Eastlands, Langmere Green Rovers are a side who in the last decade or so, turned themselves into one of the most dominant forces Flavovespian football had seen. Howevers others caught up, and the wait for another title goes on. Not since 5 in a row from 29AU-33AU have they finished top of the Super League. 38AU was a year with no international club football, and a make or break year for Kelvin Muir. 4th in the Super League, a League Cup win, and a quarter final Flavovespia Gold Cup exit to eventual winners Stanmorn was enough for him to be given another season.
A side who’ve always been in the modern era Super League, this high level they’re at is unprecedented for many of their older fans, but for a generation it feels more like the norm. Kelvin Muir seemed to steady the ship after the failures of 37AU, but he knows the pressure will be on to improve on 4th place. By no means are Langmere Green Rovers at the end of their glory days, but others have certainly been able to catch up to them, and a title fight will be very tough this season. If not a title, then at the very least finishing above Loxthorpe Rovers will be the big wish of the fans.
Manager: Kelvin Muir (49) [TLI] – Considered a promising managerial talent from The Licentian Isles, Kelvin Muir had to dig deep last season to save his job at Langmere Green Rovers. He did enough to have another season to try and crack the Super League. Known for good youth development and squad building, something the hierarchy at Langmere Green Rovers are always keen on, given the number of successful youth players coming through the ranks over the years.

Sean Maher 20 CF Langmere Green Rovers FC -> Butterfield Rovers FC £0m
Ian Buckmaster 20 CAM Langmere Green Rovers FC -> Capton Club £0m
Squad:
Kelvin Muir has continued the rebuilding from the sale of Jonathan Bagshaw, David Lyons, David Clark and Paul Taylor last season, with £80m spent in this transfer market. A lot of that went to Sedna Giunta. A left winger and striker, he provides all sorts of threats in attack, and could be a key part of Langmere Green Rovers side this season, if he hits the ground running. Kadek Ahlberg also comes in, a fellow player from Poafmersia. A pressing striker who can hassle defenders, he’s not the biggest of players but can be a big presence. Gust Kwant joins from Ko-oren, giving his experience, mentorship and leadership to the defence, whilst still being young enough for plenty more seasons.
Lawrence Henderson remains in goal for Langmere Green Rovers, a very competent and assured goalkeeper, but not necessarily considered one of the best in the Super League any more. Gust Kwant will likely replace Gordon Stacey as starting left back, with Kevin Turner continuing in the right back position. Guðlaugur Ísidórsson and Gustavo Farias will both continue their strong developing careers in the centre back role. Sedna Giunta will start as a left midfielder, but with the freedom to push forward, with a 4-4-2 that can transition to a 4-3-3. Michael Hornby stepped out of the shadows to impress last season, he’ll continue to hopefully provide similar performances on the right wing. Promising Flavovespian midfielder Martin Edward, and the creative Everard Reinhardt will play in the centre midfield. Up front, and Kadek Ahlberg will slot in alongside the Flavovespian national team striker, Adrian Jones, creating a formidable strike partnership on paper. Squad depth is key as well, and rotation options include club icon Konstantin Vyland, Viðar Adriansson, Robin King, and promising youngsters such as Adrian Payne, Russell Robinson and Charles Adams. From the youth ranks as well comes Adelin Larruzea Lizarazu, born in Flavovespia to parents from Mertagne.

Overview:
Marthorpe is the fourth largest city in Flavovespia, once a part of Hadford Hill, it’s now a prominent city in it’s own regard, the largest in the Centrelands. The club is nearly 50 years old, and although older football fans grumble about their existence as a fake club formed by the defunct GWNFA for political reasons, most fans accept them now, especially as they’ve played in every modern era Super League season. Marthorpe City had a decent 38AU, even if they fell short in a few areas. They were 3rd in the Super League, and made the Flavovespia Gold Cup final, but lost an eventful final 4-3 to already relegated Stanmorn. Their defence of the League Cup ended with away defeat in the semi finals to Garden City.
Marthorpe City are a team with the nickmaed curse of “nextyearitis”, seemingly always being in contention for the title but never getting there. They’ve had 7 in the modern era, but none since 23AU. An 8th would take them past their rivals Hadford Hill in the total number of titles. A formidable squad has been built up over the years, fans remain optimistic they can finally break through and win another title, but the competition at the top is by no means an uncrowded race.
Manager: Richard Crawford (57) – An experienced manager who’s been at the helm of Marthorpe City for seven full seasons now, and has managed the Flavovespia national team. He has a great knowledge of the game, and is generally smart in the transfer market. However he’s fairly outspoken, on the touchline and in the media. Nevertheless, considered one of the heavyweights in the dugout.
Transfers:
Nicholas Radison 33 (KHD) LB Port Tacassam FC -> Marthorpe City FC £10m
Dipan Shah 25 LAM Stanmorn FC -> Marthorpe City FC £3m
Graeme Burn 23 CB Bavingtor FC -> Marthorpe City FC £0m
Darren Mayes 26 LB Marthorpe City FC -> Carston Green FC £4m
Ronald Ireland 35 CB Marthorpe City FC -> Waldster FC £2.5m
Kevin McArdle 20 CF Marthorpe City FC -> Capton Club £0m
Squad: Marthorpe City haven’t gone too big in the transfer market, but have made the changes they want. Left back was a key area they wanted to improve, and Nicholas Radison fits the bill. An experienced player from Kohnhead, age hasn’t affected his defensive abilities, only maybe his physical skills, and he’ll provide good guidance for the younger defenders in the side. Fipan Shah and Graeme Burn both come in as rotational options.
Nathan Crewe will be in goal, one of the top goalkeeping talents Flavovespia has, and still fighting to get more international caps. In defence, Stuart Cookson is a commanding figure both for Marthorpe City and for Flavovespia, the tall, strong centre back is so hard to get by. Saltino Salazar lines up alongside him, and Nicholas Radison joins MJ Hayes on the flanks, a defence with lots of experience and knowledge in the ranks. The midfield sees Brannigan Burley and Timur Kransnyoporov provide endless stamina and grit, and a helping of skill to try and control the centre of the pitch. Expect Michael Waller to progress to getting more chances, he’s a midfielder the Marthorpe City coaches rate highly for the future. Further forward, Andrew Thomas and Victor Collomb are both wingers who can provide plenty of crosses, and get on the scoresheet themselves. Peter Smith provides the link up in attacking midfield, and Thomas Stratford will be a fox in the box, looking to pounce on all opportunities.
Predicted Starting XI: Crewe, Radison-Cookson-Salazar-Hayes, Burley-Kransnyoporov, Thomas-Smith-Collomb, Stratford (4-2-3-1)

Overview:
Out towards the south west of Flavovespia, in the Hampridge Westwood region, Garden City have really made other teams forget it was less than a decade ago since their rebranding and return to the Super League. Once thought of as a midtable to yo-yo side, they’ve punched their way up to consistent IFCF place contenders after their stunning 36AU title. Last season they made sure of 2nd place in the final Matchday, at champions Bavingtor, to get that coveted IFCF Champions League qualifying berth. They also made it to Round 4 of the Flavovespia Gold Cup and the final of the League Cup, but on both occasions were defeated by Langmere Green Rovers.
Garden City come into this season with some chance of making a push for the title, although it’ll be a tough fight. Securing 2nd, and an IFCF Champions League qualifying berth amidst the close competition at the top (at least on paper) would be recognised as a good season by their fans. Whilst maybe some of the newer generation are accustomed to a high level of success, the old fans from the Westwood Garden City days will enjoy this halcyon era for what it’s all worth, and hope it can roll on. Michael Anderson, if he does leave in a few seasons, will be remembered very fondly in these parts.
Manager: Michael Anderson (56) – One of the legends of Garden City, he’s entering his 8th season with the club and has taken them to heights never achieved before. Many tip him as well to be the next manager of Flavovespia, and who can blame them? Underneath his lively and enthusiastic demeanour lies a very tactically smart manager, who knows fully how to utilise resources available to him.
Transfers:
Kauko Arvidsson 30 (GRF) CM Alnio -> Garden City FC £20m
Conor Jacques 22 CF St Astons City FC -> Garden City FC £12.5m
Stephen Moore 38 RB Garden City FC -> Loxthorpe Rovers FC £1m
Squad:
Garden City have splashed the cash on 2 signings this season. Kauko Arvidsson, a ball winning midfielder from Græntfjall, joins from Chromatik club Alnio. Not neccesarily the tallest of players, but he’s a hard-working, hard-tackling ball winning midfielder. Conor Jacques also comes in, he rejected a big contract from St Astons City to move here, and will look to get a taste of international club football, as he aims to try and make a name for himself. Leaving is Stephen Moore, likely to finish his career at his former club Loxthorpe Rovers where he made a name for himself.
Fol Kacceo will hope to continue his good time at Garden City this season, looking to keep the goals out. An experienced defence continues on, the full back pairing of Steed Henry and Alistair McKinlay know the Super League well and how tough it is. Vivek Soni and Michael Glackin are both tough but fair centre backs with a good command of their defensive area and duties.
Not too much in the way of transfer business for Garden City, who look to invest in what they currently have with contract extensions. Robert Falconer comes in, a striker who can also play out wide. He was considered an up and coming talent a decade ago, but never got capped, and last season was often benched in a chaotic season at Waldster. He’ll hope to re find some old form. Per Neilsen joins from fellow Western side Carston Green. A wing back who impressed in 36AU, but had some struggles in 37AU, Garden City sign him as a rotation option initially, but expect him to get some minutes if he can deliver. Kauko Arvidsson will slot in alongside Sachin Gupta, the pair forming a fairly physical duo looking to control the midfield and support the defensive line. Craig Fraser and Colin Henderson on the wings are both able to provide goals and assists, Garden City one of many sides playing with a staggered midfield of two deeper lying midfielders and 2 more attacking wide midfielders. Up front, and Conor Jacques will look to be the slightly deeper lying of the two, as Giordano Limene will hope to challenge for the Golden Boot in the poacher role. Look for Robert Falconer to act as a substitute for any of the attackers or wide midfielders, and promising young talent Barry Branford to get some starts.

Overview:
The Centrelands side in the north of Flavovespia, between the major cities of Hadford Hill and St Astons City, the team nicknamed the Planes after the major airport have really put themselves on the radar in recent seasons. Bavingtor showed that their 37AU wasn’t a one season wonder, with their second consecutive Super League title. Whilst they couldn’t hold onto the CAFA LigAnaia title, they still performed well in that tournament. The IFCF was a mixed bag, missing out on the Champions League and Challengers Cup Group Stage, they dropped into the Associations Trophy, but were beaten finalists at least. In terms of domestic cups, the main disappointment was in the Flavovespia Gold Cup, a Round 4 exit to nearby Challenge League side North Mayshop in extra time.
Bavingtor go into this season undoubtedly as one of the favourites again. Not resting on their laurels, they’ve gone into the transfer market, internationally and domestically to try and build a strong young core that could keep the side dominant for years on end. Only twice has 3 in a row been pulled off in the modern era, Bavingtor hopes to join that list. However there’s fierce competition in the chasing pack to dethrone the reigning champions.
Manager: Robbie Redfield (64) – At 64, he’s no newbie to the game, and has turned Bavingtor into a real powerhouse in Flavovespia. An outspoken, yet passionate manager, over the years he’s racked up a fair number of critics, but his performances now in the dugout earn a lot of respect. His tactical nuance is an underestimated skill, he often seems to find a way to outsmart opposition. He seems to be particularly enjoying his time at Bavingtor, seemingy more positive than his past self and looking more relaxed and less under pressure.
Transfers:
Robert Cooper 30 RAM Hadford Hill FC -> Bavingtor FC £17.5m
Jack Roles 22 (CAD) CB Tasmador Wanderes -> Bavingtor FC £12.5m
Paul Amos 21 CB Loxthorpe Rovers FC -> Bavingtor FC £12m
Colin Correa 23 RAM Bavingtor FC -> Hadford Hill FC £5.5m
Graeme Burn 23 CB Bavingtor FC -> Marthorpe City FC £0m
Danny Conetta 34 CB Bavingtor FC -> Carston Green FC £0m
Squad:
Bavingtor have spent a good chunk of money to bring in 3 new players for this season. Robert Cooper comes in a £17.5m, a dynamic attacking midfielder who can play in several position, with nearly ambidextrous feet. His personality also makes him a popular figure on and off the pitch. Jack Roles comes in from Tasmador Wanderes, a tall centre back with an eye for making runs forward, a possible aerial threat in the box as well. Paul Amos also comes in, after some good performances for Loxthorpe Rovers, although he’ll likely be a rotation option for now. Colin Correa goes the other wayto Robert Cooper, joining Hadford Hill, not officially a swap though as the deals were agreed separately. Graeme Burn and the cult classic player Danny Conetta leave on free transfers.
Thomas Foley will be the goalkeeper, one of the top in the league now, he’s so hard to score against when he’s in form. The defence may not be old, but their formidable. Sean Rafferty and James Green are both all around full backs who can be hard to stop and can progress the ball well. In midfield, Gunnvor Nieminen has a real awareness of the game, and great raw skills that mean he can help control the game, alongside Jonathan Goldstone. Goldstone has become something of a breakout player for Flavovespia, and is a force to be reckoned with in the domestic scene. Veteran Oscar Brokhorst and now Robert Cooper provide the attacking width, with Aston Lombardi and Gary Carr to aim for in the box, both strikers with a keen eye for goal and the skill to get the ball in the box.
