Another murderer's row NC slate for UC
thanks to all

EDIT:
Discussing the proposed SNL/Banija system: I like the format, I like the idea that there is an attempt to balance the effect that a school can't control the strength of their conference opponents with the fact that schools can look to load up NC weeks or not schedule NC games at all to help their overall rating.

As competitors, we should all want (and I believe that those of us who've been in this competition for numerous edition DO want) to see our conference rivals have a chance to improve, to make the playing field--figuratively--level for everyone.

I think that above all the order of importance should be--How a team performs, Who is the team performing against with regard to How that opponent performs and Where those performances occur, with much less emphasis on the Margin between the teams.

Ranorian Bid for NSCF 28 Championship Game
Location:Rouyoutte, Ranoria
Venue: The Elysium
Capacity: 82,450
Image

The Stadium: The construction of The Elysium was a perfect storm - Ranorian sports fans wanted something to one-up their iconic Karmin-Falce Superdome in Ranoria City, and the wealthy populace of Rouyoutte wanted to build a stadium that would once and for all put their rivals in Fermete to shame after decades of stadium renovations to Fermete’s Fermete Stadium and their own Royalty Field. With the help of some crafty Vanorian engineering, it’s been made into something truly unique.

The northern lights are often visible in the area, and The Elysium was designed with this in mind. The stadium is located about 15 miles out of the main body of Rouyoute in an extremely rural area to minimize light pollution, and is accessible by underground rail through several parking lots in the city or by the stadium’s own parking lot. All lighting within the complex has been directed downward as well, but to really create something special Ranorian industry has to outsource. With some Vanorian engineering coming in with a unique tempered glass ceiling for the stadium, the northern lights are magnified at night to make them more vibrant than ever, giving games here an ethereal feel to them.

Other features include small tributes to nations Ranoria has close ties to. From Quebec and Shingoryeo, Cannabiscorp has donated plenty of marijauna dispensers that come with, you guessed it, odor filters! From Banija, a fellow nation in the Quebecois commonwealth, Banijan artists painted a mural of several historic Banijan kings in one of the entrances of the stadium. The field entrance tunnels on both sides of the stadium are overlooked by a sculpture of an elephant - and of course, those tunnels were made tall enough for Drawkian competitors. That bit was heavily debated, as tweaking their necks to duck through a regular sized tunnel could give the Grid Corps a competitive disadvantage if we played them here.

One catch - the complex isn’t technically done. While the centerpiece, the gridiron and/or soccer field and surrounding stadium is good to go, the surrounding attractions aren’t scheduled to be completed for a few months after the NSCF Championship game.

Location: Rouyoutte is one of the more historical and traditional cities in the northern reaches of Ranoria. Sporting some of the wealthiest families in the country, the city along with surrounding Fermete, Eglise, and to a lesser extent Herot hold significant sway in private industry in the country. Due to raking in tax dollars from those wealthy families, the city is generally ripe with services and transport and is extremely safe. Plenty of high end restaurants and hotels along with the more run-of-the-mill stuff.

For those visiting the country, one should pay mind that while recreational alcohol and marijauna are legal and essentially unregulated, tobacco and other recreational drugs are illegal for sale, use, or redistribution within the country. Most drug related offenses only result in a slap on the wrist, but try not to spend the championship game behind bars! Rouyoutte’s most common foreign influence is from Quebec and Shingoryeo, and one can expect the nightlife to reflect that.
