The WLC has endured to take its' place among the oldest continuous multiverse tournaments; there is a long tradition of first time entrants making rapid progress up the rankings over the course of two or three cycles as well as providing opportunities for nations to gain their first experience in hosting a major event.
The WLC is open to national teams consisting of rosters made up of single gender, mixed gender, mixed species, or even sentient beings. However the tournament operates under the rules for the men's game in terms of number of players, physical contact, etc.
Tentatively, the Commonwealth of Baker Park plan to make a bid to host the Championship for a third time. This is partly to expedite the process between opening of entries and the first matchday.
HOWEVER, no legitimate bid submitted by any WLC member, as defined in Article I, Section 1 of the WLC Constitution shall be rejected except through the voting process outlined in Article IV, Section 1 of the same.
