Pacific-Eurasian Security Treaty Organization
Introduction
The Pacific-Eurasian Security Treaty Organization(PESTO) is an international organization created for collective security and international cooperation among countries that respect human rights, freedom, and democracy. The PESTO actively encourages cooperation between democratic countries for the peaceful and fair resolution of world peace and international conflicts and promises mutual defense between the Member States.
The PESTO opposes everything that opposes the values of democracy and human rights, including totalitarianism and slavery. An attack on one Member State is also considered an attack on the entire PESTO. The PESTO supports a peaceful resolution of the conflict, but military action must be taken when all peaceful attempts fail or when the Member States are in crisis.
Member State regulations
- Member States must be democracies or at least countries that respect democracy. Fascism, slavery, imperialism, totalitarianism, war crimes, and coercive dictatorship are not allowed.
- Applications from nations where disputes with PESTO member states exist are rejected.
- Applications from nations that are hostile to the member states of the PESTO are also rejected.
- Only the Member States can hold the right to vote.
- Only the Member States can take the seat of chair country and vice-chair country.
- Only the Member States can hold the right to submit a resolution.
- Forced withdrawal of member states is only possible by majority vote.
- There are no constraints on the geographical location of the Member States. Nations that are not based in Eurasia can also join.
Observer State regulations
- There are few restrictions on observer states.
- However, applications for observer states by countries that violate freedom and human rights too much are rejected. For example, applications from countries that
implement slavery are rejected.
- Countries hostile to PESTO member states cannot apply for observer states. - Observer states do not have the right to vote, but Observer states are free to participate in the debate.
Regulations concerning the council
- The term of office of the chair country and vice-chair country is 6 months.(irl 3 months)
- After the term of office of the chair country and vice-chair country ends, elections are held and the next chair country and vice-chair country are decided.
- If the chair country or vice-chair country is removed from the PESTO, an election will be held immediately for vacancies.
- The founders, CONGOlese republic and chair country and vice-chair country, can review and accept applications for membership in PESTO.
- The leadership can serve a second term but is limited to one time.
- A country that has won a second term can run again after a period equal to two terms from the end of its term.
- Chair country presides over meetings, can formally declare passed resolutions, approve or reject applications for accession to the PESTO, and has the right to initiate and supervise voting. And Chair country may approve or reject the right to speak requested by an outside person or representative of a non-member country.
- Vice-Chair Country may approve or reject applications from countries that wish to join the PESTO as Member States or Observer States. In addition, Vice-Chair Country will act as Chair Country(Speaker) in Chair Country's absence.
- The results of the vote will be counted by the founder, CONGOlese republic.
