Watch: Updates from the Khan - Day 2 of the Lavanan Invasion

Written By: Fatimae Elenae

“Hacyinia. Yesterday we began a fight for national survival against the Lavanan invasion. They invaded our country in the early hours of the morning. Our intelligence and reports from the front state that the Lavanan dogs have attacked with the full weight of their arsenal. It is clear to us that Lavana is seeking to wage another war of conquest at the expense of Oroqic, Ukilen and Pardarnic lives and land.

Our loyal and devoted Royal Hacyinian Army has been contesting the enemy every step of the way. Lavana has utilized their deceit and treachery to catch our army in a moment of surprise, and I do confirm that Lavana has forced their armies into the eastern steppe. Many brave Qorban have given their lives to fight against this advance, and we give them and their families our eternal thanks. It is due to their brave sacrifices, and all upcoming sacrifices that will have to be made, that we shall see victory in the end.

The enemy currently is advancing towards Shymkent and Azghyr. I ask that any civilians proceed to evacuate further into the country, in order to not cause our military any distress. Your Khan commands it, and I expect that this order will be followed as quickly as possible regardless of the personal cost. The only civilians that should remain are essential services and those who are volunteering to defend their homes. I also command that anybody who comes across a fellow Hacyinian family moving away from the conflict to render aid and kindness to them.

Our brave military has currently held the line in the Yoloten. Contrary to false propaganda, our brave soldiers have dug in and have repulsed multiple enemy attacks at great cost to themselves but inflicting even greater costs to the invaders. To hear that our brave soldiers have held the line has brought me great joy, and I hope that my communicating this to you does the same, my beloved countrymen. Our entire military in the Yoloten, from the highest general to the lowest volunteer, is commended for their performance in holding the line in the Yoloten. Know that Hacyinia is with you all, brave men!

I also bring news that the international community is with us. Our eternal friend Zorasan is rushing troops to our aid as I speak. We are forever in their debt for assisting us during our moment of crisis, and I hope that I can let the Zorasani people know that Hacyinia thanks you all from the bottom of our heart. I ask all of Hacyinia join me in saying ‘Zorasan Zendebad!’ to our allies.

The Kingdom of Rwizikuru and their leader Mutungamiri Tsuru Mawere also stands behind us, offering their full support as we fight against our aggressors. We are glad to hear that another country who also deals with the same issues of territorial integrity will stand by our side. Hacyinia thanks you, Rwizikuru!

The Republic of Nise also has joined the war effort, pledging to send small arms and advisors to assist us. Nise has previously joined us in military training exercises, so they will be familiar with the military. We thank Nise for their assistance, glory to them!

Hacyinia, we must stay strong and continue the fight against the aggressor. Hacyinia Now, Hacyinia Forever. I shall update you more another time.”

Lavanan offensive continues.
Lavana has obtained major results in the south of the country.

Expected frontline in the conflict.

As time has gone on its clear that Lavana has suffered a major success in the border with Hacyinia. Lavana has obtained an absolute breakthrough against some of the best Hacyinian units. Lavana conducted successful bombardments and breakthroughs in the region. Roads are clogged with refugees fleeing west, while Lavana is set to continue its pounding of Hacyinian forces. Heavy fighting was reported in the Kung River, as Lavana is struggling against Hacyinia for control of crossings in the river. Lavana will probably float pontoon bridges, or build them over the Kung in the coming days. Both Lavana and Hacyinia must be suffering heavy equipment and personnel losses. A breakthrough in the south was expected, but at such a scale was not. Its unclear whether Hacyinia will be able to stop a Lavanan armored breakthrough.

Hacyinia obtained a major success in a ballistic missile barrage which severely damaged the Zadou Airbase. While rumors are circulating that Hatgna Airbase was also hit. Other targets of importance were hit by Hacyinia, and there's videos populating Hacyinian internet showcasing the brand new drones Zorasan has given Hacyinia. A Lavanan aircraft was also recorded being hit by Hacyinian air defenses north of Karaganda, after conducting ground attack operations.

Information is still unclear, but Lavana has achieved a major breakthrough in the south of the country, while heavy fighting in the Kung River continues, as Lavanan forces struggle to secure crossings in the Kung to attack the Hacyinian rear. Lavana is expected to be threatening the major cities of Shymkent, and Azghyr, important logistical and road hubs. However Lavana must close the cauldron being created at the south of the Kung river. Zorasani troops are expected to arrive to the frontline on Friday at the latest.

Day 3 of the Hacyinia-Lavana 2022 War.
Lavanan forces continue attacks in Hacyinia.
2022-11-10T 20:16:30Z

As more information is published, our understanding of the conflict in Lavana increases. Now its clear that Lavana has obtained major successes at the border with Hacyinia, with an incredible push against Hacyinian units. Heavy fighting is ongoing from the new Lavanan frontline east of Azghyr all the way to the Dezevauni border. Although Hacyinia has obtained major successes against Lavanan and PAMFY units in the north of the country.

Despite the fact that it appears that Lavana has obtained a major victory, Chistovodia has jumped out to state that it will be providing aid to Lavana. Chistovodia in good socialist fashion has supported Lavanan invasions with equipment in the past, but the Asterian giant has never made announcements in such urgency. It appears that Lavana might have taken bad losses, and Dezevau is less capable of providing Lavana with the necessary equipment to replace losses as Dezevau had done all times in support of Lavana. It is unclear whether Chistovodian equipment might be able to give Lavana an edge by the time they reach the ports of Lavana, if Chistovodia chooses to fly the equipment in, we would be looking at an absolute disaster for Lavanan troops.

Hacyinia is known to have conducted major offensive operations in the north of the country, with great success, the territory in the north is highly rugged, and has limited resources assigned to it according to military experts. Success in this region ensures the safety of Beylagan, and further headaches for Lavana, although its limited if such successes will be enough to turn the tide of what is a quickly worsening situation for both Hacyinia and Lavana.

Lavanan troops have dealt defeat after defeat to Hacyinia with heavy losses on both sides. It is unclear how long Lavanan logistics especially in the south will be able to cope with the growing threat of running out of supplies, as Lavanan forces run out of their stocks. Lavanan attempts at bridging the Kung have been somewhat successful, although Hacyinian drones have been used to target these key locations, causing trouble for Lavana.

As Zorasani forces continue their move, Lavana must consider the next phase of the conflict as fresh Zorasani troops are soon expected to engage tired exhausted, and battered Hacyinian forces. Whether Lavana or Hacyinia is more battered is a question that can’t be answered, but Lavana appears to be in the better footing, in regards of continuing the conflict. If Lavana had been fighting just Hacyinia, then both countries would have reached a peace deal, risk Hacyinia losing most of its army, and with its capital in a direct route for Lavanan armor. Speed continues being the most important aspect of this conflict, and Lavanan ability to exploit such a fact and opportunity continues.

Union forces launch intervention to defend Hacyinia with devastating missile salvo
Over 50 cruise and ballistic missiles were fired at targets across western Lavana, dealing decisive blows

A land attack cruise missile launching part of a colossal salvo.

Union forces made began their intervention in defence of Hacyinia last night, with a massive missile and air assault against key targets. Several bridges across the Kung River in Lavana were damaged or destroyed, while reports indicate total devastation of an airbase and the successful destruction of an army headquarters in the southern area of operations. The Union Ministry of National Defence declared “further strikes will come, and we will repel the invader alongside our Hacyinian brothers.”

The missile strikes were conducted by the 4th Strategic Assault Brigade based at several facilities across the three southern Union Republics. Over 50 ballistic and land attack cruise missiles were fired at a multitude of targets. These included several airbases, key bridges across the Kung River, air defence sites and the headquarters of the Lavanan forces south of Yoloten. The missiles were launched shortly after 11pm and many struck their targets successfully.

A road bridge in the Lavanan provincial capital of Hatgna was hit and destroyed, with several central spans collapsing into the Kung River. The loss of this bridge it is hoped will hamper the supplying of Lavanan forces currently deployed in Hacyinia.

Further strikes were conducted against enemy air defence sites, with two radar installations near Zadou damaged and rendered inoperative. A fixed surface-to-air missile site was destroyed in a successful strike by cruise missiles. While the majority of strikes were conducted against three Lavanan airbases, at Zadou, Hatgna and Turush. The base at Zadou was “complete destroyed” according to military intelligence, with several hangars, the fuel depot and weapons storage facilities destroyed outright. It is not known how many enemy aircraft were destroyed or damaged in the Zadou strikes.

The most devastating strike of the night came near Turush, when two Kheibar Sheikan cruise missiles hit a compound housing the command staff of the southern operational zone. The confirmation of the strike came not from satellite imagery or drones, but intercepted radio communications. In these records, released by AKHID, Lavanan soldiers can be heard detailing how several senior officers were dead and a number injured, throwing the operational zone into chaos.

The successful destruction of the enemy HQ will go some way in providing relief to Hacyinian forces south of Yoloten, whose lines have been broken by Lavanan tank forces, threatening to besiege the towns of Shymkent and Azghyr. This strike also demonstrates the capabilities and devasting power of Zorasani missile forces.

In a statement released to the media three hours after the initial strikes, the Supreme Council of the Revolutionary Armed Forces said, “our initial and opening strike of our defence of Hacyinia has dealt decisive blows against enemy forces. Our missile units successfully destroyed or damaged several enemy air defence installations, demolished an airbase, damaged another and successfully destroyed a key logistical asset in the city of Hatgna. The greatest blow upon the enemy came with the destruction of the headquarters for its southern group – with the death of senior commanders we have struck directly at the head of the enemy’s barbaric invasion.

“This strike was merely the first and all that follow shall be equally decisive and destructive. The Union-Government repeatedly warned of serious consequences and the Union’s military confirmed those consequences. The enemy shudders at our strikes, it is necessary that they know more strikes will come the longer they remain committed to this invasion.

“In coming days our ground forces will engage the enemy. We ask all citizens to pray for their victory and safe return to our homeland yet know very few of the enemy will return to theirs by the end of this operation. Zorasan Zendebad.”

The strike came as Lavanan forces continued to make gains on the steppe south of Yoloten. There are concerns that a large number of Hacyinian soldiers could become trapped against the Kung River and the towns of Azghyr and Shymkent fall under siege. The greater concern is that Lavana takes the city of Karaganda, opening the way to Dabulug, the Hacyinian capital.

However, marching by road toward the frontline is the Union’s ‘Southern Army Group’ which is expected to engage Lavanan forces in a matter of days. The UMND has repeatedly stated that despite columns of fleeing refugees, the Southern Army Group will reach the frontlines, stabilise them and then begin a counter-offensive tasked with driving the socialists back across the border into Lavana.

Editorial: On behalf of all those here at Hadiqat ul Haqiqah, we offer our prayers and support to the fighting men of the Revolutionary Armed Forces who go to defend Hacyinia from the Lavanan enemy. Zorasan Zendebad.

Day 4 of the Hacyinia-Lavana 2022 War.
Zorasan unleashes waves of missiles over western Lavana.
2022-11-11T 20:16:30Z

Lavanan forces achieved major breakthroughs against Hacyinia, and can clearly be said to have successfully defeated Hacyinian armed forces. Lavana has once again bested their rivals in Dabulug, and reserve the entire praise for their once again great victory. However Lavana has obtained this victory at an incredible cost in both manpower, political power, military equipment, and now civilian damage to its cities.

Zorasan launched an unprecedented barrage of missiles against Lavanas west hitting numerous targets throughout the country. The M22 roadway connecting the provincial capital city of Hatgna to Turush is said to be destroyed in its entirety in the Kung. While the M23 heading to Karatau survived with only minor disruption to traffic, however the city of Hatgna was set a blaze as several missiles struck residential areas. Lavana claims a deliberate strike against civilian locations with no military target, while Zorasan most likely had some misses with its missiles. Lavana stated it would retaliate but it appears the Lavanan army has been exhausted by its succesful defeat of Hacyinian forces, however fresh Zorasani forces are headed directly to engage Lavanan forces. The incredible push of Lavanan forces, might be worthless if Zorasan places its entire offensive power against Lavana.

Lavana has seriously miscalculated the ability of Zorasan, and their desire to engage Lavana, the missile barrage against cities in the west, has evaporated all question. The socialist alliance is reported to be rushing both at the request of Lavana and Dezevau to support the Lavanan operation in Hacyinia. Whether such supplies will be able to quickly calm the situation is doubtful, but a Lavanan stabilization of the front is possible, but only if Zorasan is unable to breakthrough Lavanan lines. Something that increasingly grows doubtful as Lavana spends its units against the remains of the Hacyinian military. Who despite severely defeated, has the full backing of Zorasan who will be sure to deliver a crushing blow to Lavana.

A race to replace Lavanan units, and force some sort of ceasefire against Zorasan is underway. The Zorasanis are set to engage tired, exhausted Lavanan units who have toiled for several days against Hacyinia. There is no route for de escalation now, Zorasan is too invested in the conflict, and Lavana learned this painful lesson as missiles wiped out military infrastructure, and Zorasan seems eager to deliver a blow against Lavana. Will Lavana hold? Will the Socialist alliance aid Lavana sufficiently to help it stabilize the front? Where will Dezevau draw the line that its willing to tolerate? Will Lavana despite having had its best military operation in its history, still lose the war? Was the 3 days to Karaganda a prophecy of Lavanan efficiency, or of Lavanan ignorance. Ignorance that this was not a war against Hacyinia they were fighting, but a war against the Union of Zorasani Irfanic Republics. A war that has just started.

Radicals smash through SAP strongholds in Vestelia, leaving the Folkshus hung for the first time in decades
SAP massively underperform in what was deemed to be a crucial litmus test as the Radicals continue to rise nationally.

Image
Yvonne Riis is poised to become the new
First Minister of Vestelia
Kalstad, Vestelia - Elation among Radicals in Kalstad this morning as the results of yesterday's Folkshus election show that their party has become the largest in the Folkshus, symbolic of the rapid rise of the Radicals this year nationally and now regionally. Riis' Vestelian Radicals dealt a crippling blow to the SAP - who usually consider Vestelia their heartlands - relegating them to second-largest party for the first time since 1998.

Results showed of the 146 seats up for grabs, the Radicals took home 51 (+40), the SAP 44 (-35), LFP 36 (-17), A-G89 6 (+5), Af 5 (+4) and VP 4 (+3). A major swing towards the Radicals and other smaller parties shows the growing effect of populism against the country's two traditional parties. Riis ran an extremely successful campaign focusing mainly on economic woes in Vestelia and combatting the imminent recession that has been concerning governments across Euclea.

While talks of government formation have not begun yet, it is extremely likely that the Radicals will form the backbone of any prospective Vestelian government, making Riis the heavily-favoured candidate to become the next First Minister of Vestelia. Politisk sources have indicated that Riis is likely to court the LFP to form a new Vestelian government, continuing the Lavender coalition that has governed nationally since 2017.

The loss of Vestelia means the SAP will now have to face the prospective reality of being in opposition nationally as well as in all three of Scovern's three constituent nations, with the only major offices the party holding now being the mayoralties of Rimso and South Vestelia, which have traditionally leaned heavily in favour of the party. The SAP currently hold 47 of 71 seats in the Rimsonian Borgerskab and 39 of 65 in the South Vestelian Metropolitan Council, however the recent Folkshus election has seen Kalstad lean towards the Radicals.

SAP leader Srimathi has faced growing calls to resign as the party continues to drop almost everywhere, in complete opposition to the current "pink wave" across Euclea, stretching even to the recent Euclean presidential election where Scovern broke for the ACDE with the highest proportion of any major nation.

It remains to be seen whether the SAP will be able to recover with a prospective new leadership, or whether the Radicals have broken the two-party deadlock and ushered in a new era of Scovernois politics.

Government to send special aid to Lavana
2022-11-12T07:59Z
By Bazuga Zebaumhaja

The Dezevauni federal government has announced that it has dispatched a special emergency dispensation of aid to Lavana and the Yoloten, including humanitarian supplies and materiel. It has done so in light of the rapid escalation of hostilities over the past days, which has seen conflict in the region with the state forces of Hacyinia and Zorasan.

The announcement clarified that scheduled material aid had been brought forward and greatly expanded in scope, and new arrangements would be made in response to the rapidly changing circumstances. The decision originated with the Congress of Twenties Committee on Foreign Relations, in consultation with the Committee on the Military. For security reasons, particulars as to content, timing, route and mode of transport were not given, and may not be published.

Sources closer to the action have reported that the aid included military aircraft, including fighter planes, ballistic missiles, tanks, and disaster relief housing. Much of the equipment of the Dezevauni and Lavanan militaries is standardised, owing to joint industries, exercises and practices; some is manufactured in Dezevau. The Lavanan government will receive the aid over the coming days, with some already on its way.

It is hoped that the aid will be able to help those affected by the conflict, as well as to bolster the defences of threatened socialist brethren; both humanitarian and security concerns have been expressed by prominent members of the Congress of Twenties over the past days and weeks. The Brown Sea Community, of which Dezevau and Lavana are a part, has certain protocols on collective security and defence, but by consent, these have not been presently activated. Nonetheless, the aid has clarified the government's stance on the matter. Ganobiunu Moagameme (President of the Committee on Foreign Relations), in comments separate to the announcement, said that despite the government's prioritisation of peace, it would not be idle while its allies endured aggression.

The conflict began on the 8th of November, after months of tension between Lavana, Hacyinia and the Yoloten turned hot, with shelling and a Hacyinian special forces incursion into Lavana. Lavana has previously expressed concern that Hacyinia would attempt terrorism using chemical weapons in Hacyinia.

Since the conflict began, Lavana has made advances on land into Hacyinia, while Zorasan has announced an intervention against Lavana and the Yoloten. Further conflict is expected.

Opinion: Will the Yoloten conflict finally expose the hypocrisy of the Liberal World Order?
Jahan Shirazi | 13 November 2022

It’s clear to most people that by now, those who stand by the principles of a liberal democratic state are finding themselves facing yet another conflict in which there is no clear “good side”. A conflict where the two warring parties are both authoritarian states with poor human rights records, backed by much larger and more influential states with similar records themselves. So what is a Euclean liberal democrat to do?

The most obvious answer for most is to say and do nothing, bar maybe condemn the territorial violation of Haycinia. But in terms of actual diplomatic or military aid, most liberal democracies are sitting back and letting the poor, non-white countries fight it out amongst themselves. After all, it’s a faraway conflict with little to no ramifications for Eucleans and the Asterian liberal democracies, right? Well, not quite.

For one thing, the war is politically damaging for the Liberal World Order because it exposes their chauvinistic indifference to the lives of Coians still suffering today from the effects of colonialism; the multi-generational trauma that contributes to an endless cycle of corruption and violence. Although Haycinia managed to avoid being colonies, likely due to Eucleans seeing nothing of value worth colonising, the Lavanans did not manage to escape the same fate. The modern republic exists today because the Eucleans cobbled together a series of disparate state and called it one united entity. And while it has, more or less, functioned, the causes of the conflict now are inescapably due to this act of forcing groups of people to coexist with those they do not want to coexist with. And the blame for this lies squarely in the halls of power within Morwall.

In 1940, Estmere partitioned its holdings in southeast Coius, delineating the border between its directly administered colony in Lavana and the heavily influenced Haycinia to the north. In the Yoloten, the majority Irfanic population who had ethnic and religious ties to Haycinia were instead incorporated into a wider Lavanan state owing to the ruler, an appointed Badist who desired integration with Lavana. This disparity between the want of the ruling class within the Yoloten and the desire of the common people lead to the conflict we have today.

So what makes this conflict so dangerous for the Liberal World Order? For Euclea, it’s the latest in a long line of conflicts that have directly resulted from their own colonial policies, and also another conflict in which they have adopted their own interpretation of a morally clean diplomatic position: do nothing and let the non-whites kill each other, a policy that has become the norm for numerous other Coian conflicts that has been demonstrated most vividly in Yemet, where Euclean liberal democracies have not only failed to contribute to any meaningful resolution to the conflict, but sat idly by during the invasion of Yemet by Behera and Rwizikuru, in blatantly illegal violations of Yemeti territorial integrity. To rub salt into the wound, both Etruria and Werania halted humanitarian aid to the Yemeti government, thus exacerbating the suffering of the millions of refugees rendered homeless by the brutality of the civil war. This of course, to the Etrurians at least, is self-serving. Not only do the wars in Coius serve as a lesson at the lesser civility of the continent’s inhabitants, it also allows for nationalist far right parties and movements to gain influence, as those refugees seek safety and a better life in Euclea, or any country willing to take them. Liberal democracies open to immigration and refugees will need to accept that the far right will use wars in Coius to further leverage influence domestically, and sitting back and doing nothing is only handing them the very liberal democracy that keeps marginalised communities safe on a silver platter.

With regards to the Yoloten conflict specifically, the Liberal World Order is being exposed as nothing more than a hypocritical collection of white ethnic chauvinists who have little care for the lives of non-whites as long as it’s not politically advantageous. This is most pertinent to the diplomats and politicians in Haycinia, a country that has long maintained friendly relations with Euclean states since the Great War, and has now almost fully entered the orbit of Zorasan, whose overall influence in Coius has transformed it into the preeminent power within the conflict. A lack of care and due respect from Euclean liberal democracies will drive more countries into the orbits of states like Zorasan not because of ideological similarities, but because Zorasan has little care for the political nature of the states in which it seeks to gain influence over. For Haycinia, a country largely run by wealthy oligarchs as a giant Ponzi scheme, the backing of Zorasan and the lack of any political support from liberal democracies is proof to them that any diplomatic overtures from said liberal democracies are worthless. Zorasan cares little for the political state of Haycinia, or its human rights record. It cares about what it can get from the relationship with Haycinia. It’s a simple and effective position to assume on the international stage.

And that makes it dangerous to liberal democracies because it undermines their own position and standing when it comes to international relations. Promising development aid or military assistance and having that come with strings attached is detrimental to the maintenance of a rules based international order, something which liberal democracies claim to be upholding. The lack of condemnation of the invasion of Yemet by Behera and Rwizikuru and now the blatantly illegal invasion of Haycinia by Lavana, while Zorasan was widely internationally condemned for occupying a small sliver of land in Tsabara well outside government control, is proof to every Coian state that your territorial integrity does not matter as long as it cannot be used for political gain. The lack of willingness of liberal democracies to even condemn the invasion of Haycinia is evidence that the so-called rules based international order is nothing more than a means of asserting Euclean dominance over Coian states who threaten white geopolitical hegemony.

The Yoloten conflict will expose the Liberal World Order as nothing more than a hypocritical, self-serving group of chauvinistic Euclean states disinterested in preserving the rules based international order it claims to uphold and in doing so, will undermine its down collective geopolitical position in favour of the very states they seek to counter.

Lavanan and Zorasani forces reported to be engaged.
Fighting between Lavanan and Zorasani forces was reported to have started in the Yoloten..

Expected frontline in the conflict.

Lavanan forces were confirmed by the government to be inside the Hacyinian city of Karaganda. An important transportation hub, and the last city on the left bank of the Kung River before the Hacyinian capital of Dabulug. Lavanan forces reached the city at an immense material and manpower loss, but were said to be pushed back by advancing Zorasani forces, which have unleashed a great offensive against Lavanan forces, all throughout the Yoloten and Hacyinia.

Dezevau announced that it would be providing Lavana with resources and material to engage Zorasan, while aid from a socialist country was said to be airlifted into Lavana after refueling in Dezevau. Large amounts of material are expected to arrive in Lavana, although it might be too late to ensure the stretched and battered Lavanan lines hold against Zorasani attacks. The Hacyinian cities of Shymkent and Azghyr were said to be surrounded and under light shelling by Lavanan forces, apparently in retribution for the attacks in Hatgna.

Premier Laina Keomany appeared before a crowd in the coastal city of Dezebenhua where she decried the terrorist government of Zorasan which had targetted the city of Hatgna purposefully. “Zorasan claims their missile landed accidentally in our city, Lavana claims that it accidentally murdered dozens of civilians. Yet our experts state that Zorasan ensured its most accurate missiles struck the city” claimed Keomany in a furious and anger-filled speech. Keomany was stated to have ordered an emergency meeting in the Brown Sea Community, where many feared Lavana would invoke its common defense policy in the community, which would bring Dezevau and South Kabu into the conflict. However no such announcement was made. Dezevau has in the recent days moved more troops to its western states, and Dezevauni forces have been powerless to stop major defeats on Lavanan forces. So far the Dezevauni government has stated it will not intervene in the conflict, unless Lavana calls upon the Brown Sea common defense. Something Lavana might use to force Zorasan into a ceasefire, or to kickstart a new offensive in the region.

GARON RIPLEY TO TAKE THE HELM OF THE MOVEMENT FOR A NEW IMAGUA
Ripley's first speech expected to signal a focus towards making Western Imaguan Creole an official language

Garon Ripley delivering his first speech as leader of the Movement for a New Imagua

After Dalmazio Pasquarello's resignation and the subsequent leadership election involving Marolo Aloisi, Ruperto Iarussi, Garon Ripley, and Karlus Strawbridge on 14 November after an extension was given to permit the candidates more time to campaign, the results were released by the national association.

In the first round, Iarussi garnered 7 votes, Strawbridge garnered 9 votes, Ripley garnered 11, and Aloisi garnered 12 votes. Following the elimination of Iarussi, the second round garnered 10 votes for Strawbridge, 11 votes for Ripley, and Aloisi gained 18 votes. As no one candidate secured a majority, Strawbridge was eliminated, and in the final round, Ripley garnered 21 votes to Aloisi's 18 votes, making Garon RIpley the new leader of the Movement for a New Imagua.

Soccorso Fiorilli introduced Garon Ripley as "someone who contributes to the community, both in his work as councillor for Leeth, and in his work as a dentist," and praised him for "his ability to compromise between Iarussi and Strawbridge's positions" to run a successful leadership campaign.

Garon Ripley took the stage, and in a move that analysts believe may be a sign of the MNI's changing direction, delivered his speech entirely in Imaguan Creole.

"I would like to thank the National Association for investing their confidence in me to serve as the leader of the Movement for a New Imagua," Ripley began. "I would like to pay tribute to Pasquarello, who created a movement that stood up for the rights of Imaguans, that stood up for the rights of the family, that stoop up for those who were left behind and cast aside by the oligarchs in the DLP and the SLP. He and his followers have built a movement committed to building a new Imagua, and I promised to Mr. Pasquarello that I will continue the work he set out to do."

"My policies are, in most ways, going to continue from where Pasquarello left off," Ripley declared. "We believe in an elected Legislative Council so that we can stop the elites who, having drunk the Flavor-AId prepared by Vallette, Mac Suibhne, Halivar, and other illustrious members of the Poteri Oscuri, seek to sell out our country to the bankers, we believe in policies that will stop people from having to fight to live in their own city because a bunch of old Cassiens and a bunch of old Weranians buy up our property, while our landlord cronies reap the benefit at the cost of poor Imaguans, and we believe that we should preserve and protect our Sotirian nation."

"We believe that illegal immigration should be curbed, and we believe, most of all, that Imagua and the Assimas need to be an equal federation, and that is something that will not change," Ripley said. "But there is one thing we need to change: we need to learn to be proud of who we are, and we need to embrace our virtuous culture!"

"We need to embrace Creole, we need to have it take its rightful place as an official language of the Imaguan nation, and we need to safeguard it," Ripley declared. "A New Imagua that Pasquarello seeks cannot be done without raising Creole out from its bastard status where despite most of our countrymen speaking this beautiful Sotirian language, the oligarchs conspire to deny it its rightful status."

"And if we want to be proud of who we are, we should speak this language, we should fight for Imagua, and we will fight to live, free from the corrupting influence of the oligarchs, the bankers, and their propagandists, in our own land," Ripley concluded.

A subsequent press release from the Movement for a New Imagua announced that until Garon Ripley enters the Chamber of Commons, Marolo Aloisi would serve as the parliamentary leader for the Movement, with Ripley saying that "Aloisi is a talented man who I trust completely."

Following Garon Ripley's first speech as leader of the Movement for a New Imagua, former MNI leader Dalmazio Pasquarello congratulated Ripley on his election, and announced that he will step down in favour of Ripley, so that the Movement for a New Imagua can have its leader be in the Chamber of Commons.

Zorasan launches offensive against Lavana.
Lavana and Zorasan are trading heavy blows, as Zorasan pushes Lavana in the Yoloten and Hacyinia..
2022-11-14T 20:16:30Z

Lavana it seems has suffered significant setbacks in the Yoloten, with Zorasani troops puncturing weakened/light Lavanan positions in the north of the region, where Lavanan forces have suffered loses to Hacyinian paratroopers. Some sources claim that Lavanan and PAMFY forces might have been pushed back all the way to the river Esentay. Although it hasn’t been confirmed. The cities of Shymkent and Azghyr were liberated following a brief siege by Lavanan forces. Zorasani forces have punctured deep into Lavanan lines in occupied Southern Hacyinia. Lavanan forces which must have been exhausted after defeating Hacyinia in the south, are unprepared to deal with fresh Zorasani forces, who have forced them back.

Lavana is expected to be suffering terrifying losses against Zorasani forces, who have brought in incredible firepower, and fresh forces. Lavana, which has delivered crushing blows against Hacyinia, is in no position to restrain the growing threat of Zorasan, and calls for peace have increased greatly. Lavana might have defeated Hacyinia, had Zorasani forces taken 2 additional days to engage Lavanan forces. Hacyinia might have surrendered. Socialist forces primarily Chistovodia and Dezevau are moving at great speed, equipment to replace Lavanan losses. Onlookers report Lavanan conscripts rushing to cover up Chistovodian/Dezevauni markings in equipment. The Socialist alliance has spurned to provide Lavana with necessary materials to engage Zorasan and Hacyinia. Whether they will be able to force some sort of positive outcome for Lavana remains to be seen, although it is unlikely. Zorasani forces are avoiding the Karaganda axis, it appears on purpose, as that's where strong Lavanan forces are based. Deeply exposed as well in their flanks, Zorasan will aim to dissuade further Lavanan attacks into Karaganda through outflanking its best units, and ushering incredible firepower. Lavanan forces are also under heavy harassment by Zorasani operated and supplied drones.

The war which has lasted for 7 days so far is expected to have led up to 10 thousand deaths, in all fighting armies. Although this number is set to climb in the coming days for sure. An army of doctors from Champania, East Miersa, Chistovodia, South Kabu, and Dezevau were flown into Pers, where rumors state that military hospitals are overflowed and can't cope with the insane number of casualties. A hospital in the border city of Zardab is said to have overflown, with dead and alive soldiers located in rows of bunk beds besides each other. The Lavanan Ministry of the Interior has censored such reports as "Foreign attempts at spreading misinformation", yet the Ministry of Health has stated that it will pay triple for any doctors who travel to the west of the country. Even religious organizations have been asked to help catering to the needs of soldiers, with shelter, and final rites.

Heavy fighting continues in Hacyinia.
Zorasan unleashes flurry of missiles, and continues its attack on Lavanan forces.
2022-11-14T 20:16:30Z

Zorasan unleashed another heavy round of ballistic missile strikes that resulted in retaliation from Lavanan forces. Rumors state that Chistovodian aircraft have been moved to a high level of readiness, possibly as a precursor of the joining of Chistovodia into the conflict. Zorasan continued its offensive against Lavana.

Chistovodia has several squadrons of aircraft deployed in the Brown Sea as part of cooperation agreements with Dezevau, South Kabu, and Lavana. Following the March coup in Lavana, Chistovodia which initially opposed the coup pulled its aircraft out of Lavana, and reduced its contribution in Dezevau, choosing South Kabu as the location of Chistovodian aircraft. Which too had been pulled out of the country following that country's coup in 2021. In August Chistovodia agreed to return its full contingent to Dezevau, but remained cold in regards to Lavana. On September 25th following rapprochement through Lavanas embassy in Lavana, relations were opened again between both countries. Chistovodia made provisions to base aircraft again in Lavana, where a 3 country squadron between Lavana, South Kabu, and Chistovodia would operate in December. However the start of the conflict delayed such plans. It is unknown how many aircraft Chistovodia operates in the Brown Sea but that amount is over 30 aircraft, a far cry from 2020 when it had 60 aircraft deployed to the region. Chistovodia would bring forward advanced aircraft to the fight along with experienced and well trained pilots. A necessity for Lavana who has struggled against Hacyinia and Zorasan for a week now. Chistovodian aircraft could be a great aid in turning the fight. Chistovodian vehicles are already in use by Lavanan forces in the Yoloten, with the Asterian country claiming it had delivered several vehicles to Lavana, and promising to replace Dezevauni equipment turned over to Lavana at a latter date.

Lavana continued suffering a 3rd day of concentrated Zorasani attacks against its frontline in Hacyinia and the Yoloten. Casualties are heavy, but it's believed Lavanan forces were successful in stalling attacks against its Karaganda axis. Lavana claimed to have martyred several Zorasani high command personnel, in a concentrated ballistic missile strike. While it stated that it had stopped a planned attack on a radar facility in Zardab, from Hacyinian commandos.

On the diplomatic front, Emessa and Vinalia stated that their armed forces were available to provide troops for peacekeeping duties when a ceasefire is reached in the conflict. Vinalia requested additional foreign support from Coian countries, but stated that it is complicated to obtain neutral parties considering the geopolitical situation stemming from the conflict, and the parties involved. Intensive casualties on all sides are expected, and humanitarian aid is requested for refugees displaced by the conflict, and to control the growing public health crisis in Hacyinia and Lavana, where hospitals are completely backed up. The Zadou National Hospital was stated to be moving troops to a Dezevauni military hospital near the Lavanan border, while South Kabuese hospitals have offered to treat more stable Lavanan civilians.

Zorasani forces stalled as desperate Lavanan resistance and logistics slow advance
Saigo Takahashi| 16 November 2022

The Zorasani Southern Army Group advancing from Shmykent and Azghyr has seen its progress stalled by desperate and fierce Lavanan resistance and stretched supply lines. It comes amid reports that Lavana struck a forward command centre killing several officers.
Image
Zorasani forces have slowed their advance in face of logistical issues and stiff Lavanan resistance.

After breaking the sieges of Shymkent and Azghyr in the south, Zorasani forces continued to push eastward toward the border, but have since slowed owing to both logistical problems and fierce Lavanan resistance. ICM has been able to verify reports of log jams on highways heading north from the frontlines, these large streams of displaced civilians have slowed Zorasan’s logistical convoys from reaching their combat units further south. This is despite Zorasan deploying an entire logistical brigade to support its units, indicating a conscious effort to meet the demands of its battle group, however, limited infrastructure and the mass displacement of over 300,000 people caused mayhem on highways and ostensibly slowed down its rear area units compared to its combat units, which according to social media travelled to the frontlines by traversing the flat open steppe grasslands. This, together with the rapid gains made against Lavanan forces in the south stretched the SAG’s supply lines toward Shymkent and Azghyr, buying the Lavanans time and space to establish new defensive positions and give Zorasan cautious pause.

Lavana’s battered forces have put up stiff resistance according to our sources in the Zorasani government, desperate is the word used. However, this desperate resistance is coming at immense cost in both equipment and soldiers, with the SAG fresh and well equipped, there are reports in the south of persistent artillery bombardments of Lavanan positions and less outgoing strikes. It appears it is this area of the frontline that is seeing the fiercest of fighting. The Zorasani defence ministry has begun publishing videos and images on social media showing its forces engaged in heavy fighting, its artillery pounding away and, a still growing collection of Zamboor-3 drone footage.

Yet Zorasan is facing resistance far greater than many expect it believed to have encountered. Lavana, seemingly fearing it’s southern groups simply being overrun before they reach new lines or Lavana itself has put up desperate resistance, including a shock report that it successfully destroyed a forward command post of the 14th Armoured Brigade based in the village of XX. Zorasani state media reported a “strike that has martyred six and injured 18 other.” It has not named nor ranked the killed but indications are that it may include officers up to the rank of colonel. Lavanan and local Hacyinian reports also claim that Zorasani pushes on at least two villages near Azghyr were repulsed albeit at cost to the Lavanan defenders. The conduct of the Lavanan armed forces in this war will be studied and their ability to hold against the Zorasani Southern Army Group is praiseworthy, however, its logistical issues being rectified may well spell doom for its forces in the south, providence it would seem has come on side of Lavana.

The same however, cannot be said for Lavanan forces operating in northern Yoloten. The 16th Infantry Brigade, supporting by a regiment of Ajahadyan paratroopers shattered the lines of Lavana’s XX and XX. This followed a reportedly successful cruise missile strike on the northern group’s headquarters. The second major success for Zorasan’s missile forces after they destroyed the HQ of Lavana’s southern forces preempting the breaking of the Azghyr and Shymkent sieges by Sunday. The Zorasani-Ajahadyan offensive’s success overran many units of the two Lavanan formations, enabling the northern force to cross the Kung River uncontested, this we understand is resulting in sightings of Zorasani Forces in areas approaching the border. This success and shattering of resistance now very much opens the road to Ikintaryq, the capital of the Yoloten and the possible cutting of supply routes for Lavanan forces across the Kung River. Zorasani forces in this region are likely too weak to seize the city and if bypassed could still result in the isolation of Lavanan forces in southern Yoloten. As Richard Carson, a research fellow at the Morwall Institute for Strategic Relations and Security wrote, “the situation in northern Yoloten seriously threatens Lavanan forces in the region, there is virtually nothing standing between Zorasani and Hacyinian forces in north and Ikintaryq.” Losses among Lavanans in this axis are said to be heavy and preliminary reports have emerged here of apparent Zorasani abuses against Lavanan prisoners of war.

In one video that has gone viral on PinPin and JabeZist, seven captured Lavanan soldiers are shot at close range by three Zorasani soldiers. A second video making the rounds on JabeZist, a Zorasani social media site, shows at least 10 PAMFY fighters being executed over a cliff edge, their bodies falling into the ravine below. Images yet to be verified also depict a claimed Lavanan captain being shot in the head with his hands tied beside the Kung River. This coincides with hundreds of images from the north of Zorasani soldiers posing with dead Lavanan soldiers and these being shared on domestic social media. An account supposedly linked to the Zorasani Army’s controversial “Spiritual and Political Mobilisation Department” on PinPin and Chirper has begun posting images of Lavanan dog tags under the hashtag of “#InvaderPigsID.” Our chief human rights correspondent, Mai Li, said, “these are serious abuses and consistent, there is much to worry about in areas without any internet connection.” Local Yoloten accounts are reporting claims that Zorasani troops when reaching an urban area are purposefully searching for PAMFY officials and supporters, those identified are promptly captured and never seen again. Further still, some Zorasani sources CM has are openly stating that PAMFY officials are being transferred to Hacyinian custody, which both governments classify as a terrorist organisation.

Tellingly, the reaction on the three sites is starkly divided, both PinPin and Chirpr have been notified and are taking efforts to police these, while JabeZist is seeing users not only share the videos but have reacted generally with soft applause. Wfforts are underway on both Chirper and PinPin to shut down all accounts sharing these medias, however, JabeZist has yet to take any action indicating that this may have state backing or at minimum, it is turning a blind eye.

There are growing rumours of Lavanan efforts to secure a ceasefire, this comes despite Zorasan’s dismissal of a ceasefire without a Lavanan withdrawal from Hacyinian territory including the Yoloten. However, Zorasan is not a primary party to talks and only time will tell if Hacyinian and Lavanan officials are in communication.

Tuesday fighting continues on Hacyinia.
Lavanan and Zorasani forces with foreign support continue heavy fighting in the Yoloten.
2022-11-15T 20:16:30Z

As further conflict has resulted in the region, Chistovodia stated that it had provided support to Lavanan forces in the Yoloten. Support which so far has seemed to be effective in stemming the tide of Zorasani forces in the Yoloten and southern Hacyinia. Lavana has conducted several local counterattacks against Zorasan in Southern Hacyinia, where it seems to have slowed down Zorasani attacks. In regards to the Yoloten Lavana has suffered a major disaster.

Lavana stated that they would activate the Common Defense policy of the Brown Sea Community which would bring Dezevau into the conflict, if Hacyinia entered Lavanan territory. Dezevau has increased movements near the border as it appears ready to enter Lavana and aid the Yoloten. Such signals however appear to be as a result of a growing disaster in the Yoloten. With some analysts stating that Lavanan forces in the Yoloten may have been pushed back into Lavana. With a small strip of PAMFY held land remaining bordering the Zadou and Makat provinces of Lavana, according to some eyewitnesses on the ground.

Lavana has claimed that missile attacks on the day were aimed at troops linked with reported massacres of Lavanan prisoners of war. In retalliation for the clear human rights and rules of war violations conducted by Zorasani forces. Ajahadyan forces are also reported to be in the Yoloten, with Lavanan and PAMFY sources publishing images of Ajahadyan identity cards on social media. Comments by the Zorasani government appear to admit that its true that Ajahadyan forces are involved in the Yoloten. Showcasing the growing extent of this conflict with growing Chistovodian involvement.

However there is interesting developments, a major Lavanan and Dezevauni delegation met with Emessan Agricultural attaches in the luxurious historical Villa Bernardi Resort in southwestern Emessa. Why Lavana and Dezevau would reason that discussing Agricultural issues in this time is reasonable is not known. However Lavana has been turning in its demands to Hacyinia through their mutual embassies in Emessa for several weeks now, and is no surprise that Zorasan was also having a reason to meet with Emessan foreign affairs authorities in southwestern Emessa this week, as they met for Aurean Strait discussions. Conspiracy theories are stating that Lavana, Hacyinia, Zorasan, and Dezevau are holding secret negotiations in Emessa, aiming at ending the war. Although this are only theories, it only seems highly plausible that such talks have started. Both Lavana and Hacyinia have suffered extensive losses, and the prospect of Dezevau engaging in the war, does not please Zorasan nor Hacyinia, who would see nearly all fighting, and destruction continue in their territory.

Lavana states ready to unleash "catastrophic war" despite losses.
Situation in Yoloten marked as disastrous by international sources. Yoloten Capital under direct threat.
2022-11-16T 20:16:30Z

Image

Lavanan tank on the Yoloten.

Lavanan forces are said to have pulled back from their major Karaganda axis, as Lavanan forces in the Yoloten have been mauled, with reports that Lavanan and PAMFY forces have left a small no-mans land in northern Yoloten separating Hacyinia from Lavana. Premier Laina Keomany was left sitting while her Minister of the Economy Emmanuel Bakhtzhany delivered several attacks on Zorasan and Hacyinia, stating that Lavana would unleash a war of proportions never seen before if any troops attempted to cross into Lavana. “We will unleash a war that will see Zorasan and Hacyinia reduced to mere dust” stated the Minister to the roar of a crowd. Yet such talk is vastly separated from reality, as Lavanan forces in Hacyinia are barely managing to stem Zorasani attacks, while in the Yoloten broken units attempt to defend the capital city of Ikinaryq from advancing Zorasani troops, which seek to outflank the Yoloten Capital.

Lavanan forces are putting stiff, desperate, and bloody resistance at the onslaught of Zorasani troops, as they attempt their best to prevent Zorasani breakthroughs in the country. Zorasan for their part have suffered extensive logistical issues as a result of crowded roads as civilians attempt to run away from the frontline. Many Hacyinians fear being caught in a new line of control similar to what occurred in the Yoloten in 1993. Zorasani forces have had issues as well with replacing battered Hacyinian units, which in some instances have been deemed completely combat ineffective. The city of Karaganda is said to be overflowing with refugees, and dozens of Hacyinian casualties. Travelling across the Karaganda-Shymkent road, the sights of blown up tanks, bullets, and bodies on the side of the road are terrible. Zorasani medical forces stated that identification of many bodies is impossible as theres no idea to which side they belong to. In some instances Zorasani medics cover the bodies with bags or some form of cover, so that the lines of refugees some times on foot make their way out of Southern Hacyinia, without seeing the carnage.

Video from hospitals in Ikinaryq show doctors crying on the floor as civilian and soldiers begin pouring in, patients are treated on the floor of the hospital, with several of them carrying signs indicating whether they’re due for surgery, or morphine (used to ease the pain of those who will not survive). Outside the hospital the city is frantic. PAMFY militias formed out of ragtag groups of criminals and gangs attempt to head towards the North where Lavanan Paratroopers are said to be engaged day and night with Zorasani forces. While Lavanan forces are trapped between the Esentay river and Ikinaryq, with troops making their way across barges or the few bridges remaining, as civilians ready for possible urban fighting. Badists in the city are said to be fearful of Zorasani troops entering the city, as they fear that Hacyinian troops may be powerless to stop vengeful Zorasani troops. Soldiers belonging to Majgar and Ukilen units in the Lavanan army are said to be as worried of capture as Kachai and Ziban troops. The Majgar and Ukilen Sotirian minorities in Lavana are some of the most committed to the conflict, and they fear of what is to come for soldiers captured in the conflict “Zorasanis and Hacyinians are executing Badist and Irfanic prisoners, Hacyinia is a majority Badist country, and Zorasan a majority Irfanic, what can we Sotirians expect?” stated a Majgar Sotirian man outside the Zorasani embassy in Pers, where crowds have once again formed.

Laina Keomany, the Premier of Lavana is also the center of much talk, compared to her physical look back on last Tuesday when Lavana launched its invasion of Hacyinia, she appears to be physical ill. She had a brief speech in a committee meeting in the Lavanan Congress instead Bakhtzhany delivered most of the remarks. Keomany who is of an advanced age, will struggle with finding some way to spin the decisive defeat of Lavanan forces in the west to continue her internal and external support. Dezevau does not want to get involved in this conflict, and is clear that it has done everything in its power to keep the idea of Dezevauni forces in the Yoloten from occurring. Chistovodian pilots were first to engage in the war, than Dezevaunis, despite videos of their allies being destroyed by an uncontrolled Zorasani force, mere kilometers from their positions. Dezevauni forces remain at the border, and at Lavanas border ready to get involved, but with limited interest by the Dezevauni government to get involved. Lavanan volunteers rushed to remove Dezevauni markings on planes provided by their northern neighbor, before going into combat. The Socialist world was not excited at the situation in Lavana, and was less than happy when Lavanan troops crossed into Hacyinia. Senria the newest ally of Lavana, despite having clear reasons to get involved in the conflict, has remained sidelined. Keomany appears to have miscalculated yet again in regards to Hacyinia, and now has suffered the consequences. Lavana has suffered a truly devastating defeat, its incredible victory over Hacyinia will be overshadowed by the defeat to Zorasan.

Negotiations are rumored to be ongoing in Emessa, and its unclear what progress they’ve obtained, or if truly Dezevauni, Hacyinian, Lavanan, and Zorasani delegations are discussing Emessan Wine at the asme time. Lavana has begun screaming that they’ll bring in Dezevau into the war, perhaps as a manner to force Zorasan and Hacyinia into the negotiations table. Yet Dezevau has shown at all steps of the way reluctance to get involved only at the direst moment of Lavana, a moment that has not arrived yet. Whether the threat of bringing in a reluctant Dezevau into the conflict will be enough for Zorasan and Hacyinia to reach a ceasefire.

War appears to be slowing down in the Yoloten.
Lavanan and Zorasani forces have slowed down their attacks as fighting is said to have been reduced following the events of previous days.

Zadou Airbase change between 15 October and 15 November, following Zorasani attacks days earlier.

Conflict in the Yoloten is stated to have reduced and slowed down, as Zorasani forces regrouped and preapred for what is to come in the conflict. In the meantime Gaullican foreign affairs along with CN diplomatic corps converged on Emessa, as coincidence appears less likely. As the gears of international diplomacy seek to end the war in Hacyinia.

Lavanan foreign affairs minister Kaipo Nhidomou was in Emessa further granted support to negotiations ongoing. Chistovodia has also come out stating that no Chistovodian aircraft or pilots were involved in defensive actions over the Yoloten. Stating that aircraft had been handed over to Lavana, and that it is possible that Lavanan pilots flying Chistovodian marked airplanes was possible, “We have requested that Lavana proceed with legal changes in the markings of this aircraft to maintain neutrality for our country” stated a spokesperson of the Chistovodian government. Lavana as well stated that it was the case, and that no Chistovodian aircraft was allowed into the Yoloten airspace zone.

Hacyinia as well warned of sabotage by Lavanan forces of its oil infrastructure in the south of the Yoloten, stating that Lavana sought to deeply economically damage future Hacyinian economical development. In Pers protests in support for the war crowded streets in the city, as citizens called for a defeat of Zorasan and Hacyinia. Police outside the now abandoned Zorasani embassy in central Pers, struggled to contain the crowds, as Lavanan security has attempted to maintain the former Zorasani and Hacyinian embassies free of violence to prevent possibly further damaging relations, at a time when Lavana seeks to obtain a ceasefire from both states. In the city of Bouna civilians set afire a Zorasani restaurant, as its owner is said to have fled the country.

In Ikinaryq tension continued, as volunteer and Lavanan troops built defences around the city, as it prepared for a major ground attack from Zorasan, who holds the western bank of the Esentay river, along with the northern approaches of the city. Lavanan forces were spilled all over the city, and theres general fear that a rout might occur if paratroopers belonging to the 16th Airborne can’t hold the line against Zorasani forces. The situation appears specially dire as large columns of refugees attempt to avoid the attack on the city by heading towards the Lavanan border or the city of Karakiya, which too might be outflanked by Zorasani troops on the left bank of the river.

Hacyinia and Lavana reach a ceasefire.
After two weeks of fighting, both sides have agreed to a ceasefire deal in Emessa..

The red lines indicate the current frontlines, while the colors indicate post war territorial control. Note the new line of control in the Yoloten.

News coming out of Emessa as Lavanan and Hacyinian governments announced a ceasefire all along the frontline in Hacyinia and the Yoloten, at 6am on Saturday November 19th. The ceasefire comes after rumors of negotiations taking place in Emessa. All warring parties agreed to a certain set of conditions, described below:

-Return of Lavanan troops from occupied Hacyinian territories, and the Yoloten.
-Zorasani troops to leave the Yoloten
-Dezevauni troops to return to their pre-October numbers in their Western Military district
-Exchange of prisoners
-Establishment of a Community of Nations observer mission to ensure all ceasefire agreements take hold
-Establishment of a demilitarized zone between Hacyinia and the PAMFY in the Yoloten, to be manned by the Community of Nations
-Community of Nations mission to verify Hacyinian chemical weapons stockpiles
-Community of Nations fact finding mission to verify possible breaking of international rules
-Hacyinia to guarantee the return of displaced people to the Yoloten.
-PAMFY forces to unoccupy several districts in the west of their territory to be occupied by Hacyinia.
-Continuation of peace negotiations between both countries to take place, in a neutral 3rd party country.

Lavanan forces which have stalled the Zorasani armed forces outside Ikinaryq and Southern Hacyinia were fearful of a renewed offensive, but now have been given 5 days to retreat out of Hacyinia, and 6 from the Yoloten. The Community of Nations has stated that it would provide neutral troops to man all missions stemming from the ceasefire agreement. The Community of Nations has made a request for peacekeepers and experts to be provided to ensure a peaceful settlement of the conflict, with countries such as Emessa, where the ceasefire deal was signed, and Vinalia have stated their desire to provide peacekeepers for the necessary missions.

Both sides reduced their interest in fighting, as the ceasefire was announced at 10pm on Friday evening, with reports and rumors of a ceasefire being discussed around noon. Lavanan troops are said to have conducted a successful retreat to the east bank of Esentay river, following major defeats during previous days. Lavanan troops which were battered in the course of the fighting, are said to have been totally exhausted, and their retreat is to be quick outside of the war zones. Although both sides will be separated by a CN mission in the Yoloten, in Hacyinia the border with Lavana will be fully manned.

OPINION - Vallette's victory casts doubt on historic partnerships and alliances.
Vivien Vallette's politics and views on important issues will do more harm than good in matters of international diplomacy, Euclean security and global liberalism.

Kesselbourg City, Kesselbourg - Vivien Vallette, grandson of former Gaullican president Jean Vallette, has secured the Euclean Community Presidency on the backs of the popular Euclean vote and the college allocated electoral votes. He carried 7 states, the traditionally strong economically left-leaning nations of Amathia, Blotsland, Caldia and Gaullica whilst securing the northern Euclean chain of Azmara and Borland and taking Estmere -- the swing state -- by a minor margin.

A highly divisive figure, Vallette has aimed to reinvent the notion of the Euclean Presidency. His three predecessors have been established national politicians, seen as custodians of the Euclean project. Vallette, conversely, has presented himself as the firebrand populist of what he believes the Euclean Community should be, not what it is. He has never held national office, save for a minor stint at the Gaullican legislative level. And this both worked against him and for him.

To say Vallette is not a problematic individual is naïve. Of course, all politicians have elements of baggage but these are often workable. Koopman, the standard-bearer of Euclean liberalism: responsible economic policy and reasonable social policy was the 'least tainted' of the main candidates, though rejected by the Euclean electorate in favour of unpolished populism. Style over substance.

But Vallette has more than most: He has before even assuming the mantle of the presidency isolated the Paretian national government in favour of Tosutonian secessionists, though he denies his involvement with the secessionist movement. His political allies made remarks against his fellow ASE primary candidates; alleging Rupert van Bleiswijk of running to avoid national embarassment at home and said little more against Niina Hermansdohter than that she was less popular than almost anyone at a Euclean level.

He has moulded the ASE party apparatus around himself; with the Gaullican PSD enabling one of their own to reach to the top to suit their own legislative and elective plans for the Euclean continent.

A Vallette presidency is worrying for international diplomacy, Euclean security and global liberalism. Why? For simple reasons. On matters of international diplomacy, the Euclean presidential-elect is willing to undo the steady hand of President Nic Ultair's balancing act of keeping the Etrurians willing to participate against the Rongzhou-Zahedan axis. His crusade against his perceptions of functionalism will do untold damage to this delicate alliance.

Though he has mentioned his willingness to talk to the Tribunes, it is clear that he will not be the same face of policy as his predecessor. He is far more concerned with the "rule of law" and his interpretation of the Euclean treaties, and has accused the Etrurians of involvement in stoking racism within Paretia. It is clear this will be a difficult hurdle to overcome.

Isolating the Etrurians also comes hand in hand with threatening Euclean security; lumping the largest eastern Euclean economy not within the Community with the Soravians in his other crusade against "Euclean authoritarianism". It is likely that we will see a pivot towards the MASSOR states as friends for the EC; who's economic policies are the models that the House of Vallette have idealised for the past forty years.

A Gaullican socialist at the helm of the Euclean Presidency also presents problems for our international partners. Two of the most important champions of global liberalism arise in the form of Senria and Rizealand. Both are strongly opposed to the economic suicide that is 'Buy Euclean', championed by the economic populists of the Euclean Community -- and maintained by Vallette. International business will be throttled by the hand of the Commission as it seeks to implement the plans of Zoe Halivar's Community wide tax plan.

And behind these policies driven by a misguided attempt to cater to the worker, Vallette will suffocate the economic progress that has lifted so many out of poverty.

Our allies will be wary of an economic nationalist at the helm of the largest single market, and wealthiest population, in the world. Both are key in helping maintain the world's channels of trade flowing, both are instrumental in assisting in the combating of authoritarianism and illiberalism - but Gaullica has often been an unwilling belligerent in that war.

My final fear is that with a Gaullican at the helm of the ship; Gaullican foreign policy will be... exacerbated at the highest offices. Expect an emphasis on Tsabara, on the Gaullophonie, on the interests of deals with Satucin and Cassier, on a blind-eye to the most heinous of Shangean offences, and the increasing of Euclean attention to supporting groups that Verlois has a vested interest in the ongoing Yemeti crisis.

I have no doubts that Vallette has the best intentions at heart; but the man represents something more than himself. He represents a conscious effort by those on the left who wish to turn us away from a responsibility driven individualistic society into an erasing communal behemoth that caters to the "majority", regardless if their template does not fit.

Don't blame me. I voted for Koopman.

Large protests and marches in support and opposition of ceasefire agreement in the Yoloten
Saigo Takahashi| 19 November 2022

Major protests have erupted in Lavana both in support and opposition to the ceasefire signed between Lavana and Hacyinia.
Image
Major protests in the center of Lavana.

Large protests have gathered in Pers, Lavanas capital and other major cities as has been the norm since November 5th, when tensions between Lavana and Hacyinia reached a boiling point. Major gatherings since the invasion 10 days ago have formed in support of the war, but these have been strictly pro-war, any anti-war opposition has been silenced, and hidden as Hacyinian attempts at destabilizing Lavana. However the rain of missiles in the majority Oroqic city of Hatgna by Zorasan, and reports of Zorasani and Hacyinian execution of prisoners regardless of religion/ethnicity have further reduced this movement and split it. While Pro-war protests have increased greatly. Now the issue appears to be whether Lavana should had entered into a ceasefire, with many supporting the move while many others support the continuation of the conflict.

"My son was murdered in the Yoloten by Irfanic fundamentalists, he was a devout Badist yet he was murdered in cold blood by animals, we shouldn't be making peace with them, we should involve Dezevau and rain destruction upon them" stated an elderly woman carrying the image of her son, an officer in the Lavanan Army. Others carrying banners and flags walked around the woman "It is an insult, an offense to accept these terms, the nation should mobilize for total war and destroy those who threaten us yet again. Its a humiliation" stated a man carrying the Lavanan flag. Across the street individuals who support the ceasefire had banners, yet feelings were not that different "We must develop the bomb" stated an elderly man to the Coian Monitor "We need to develop the bomb the Chistovodians have, and drop it in Dabulug. Use this ceasefire to rebuild and prepare for an even greater war. We must get our boys back, and then we can attack again" stated the man. Others had anti-war slogans, yet direct opposition to the conflict could not be had "I did not want war, as I did not want mothers and wife's to receive coffins, but I do not support the terrorism Hacyinia and now Zorasan support against our state, we should have just launched attacks against the chemical weapons" stated a nurse who walked in the pro-ceasefire march.

Large concentrations of protesters outside the abandoned Zorasani and Hacyinian embassies are said to be under heavy police presence, as these sites have been where most people have gathered. In other Lavanan cities protests are said to be underway as well in support or opposition to the ceasefire. Although in social media hastags such as #KeoResign have been trending, as many Lavanans call on the Premier to resign following the disastrous conduct of the war in the Yoloten. Reasons for this are divided, yet seem to revolve around general mismanagement of the conflict, stating that Lavana should have involved Dezevau in the conflict, or decrying Lavana for not fighting until the last man. "Not a single pig is in Lavana, we should not stop fighting" stated one user. General political groups such as Kachai nationalists, Badist nationalists, Oroqic Solarians, and Socialists have come out to make their voice heard, yet remain divided over whether a ceasefire is good or not.

Lavana is in no position to contest the ceasefire as its armed forces have been spent in the Yoloten and Hacyinia, with the Yoloten capital of Ikinaryq under threat by Zorasani forces, and the western border of Lavana and the Yoloten under Hacyinian control, and basically undefended.

2pm November 19
Protests around the former Zorasani and Hacyinian embassies have seen a greater level of tension, and police are reported to be pulling out of the general vicinity, but this can't be verified independently. Calls in Revolution Square have centered around Premier Laina Keomany resigning from her post. Individuals have gotten closer, and have begun creating bonfires around the embassies. Protesters have stated their desire to punish Zorasanis and Hacyinians for transgressions against Lavana.

2:30pm November 19
Reports state that Lavanan protesters have broken the gate to the former Zorasani embassy, which has now been set on fire. Protesters and Police are said to be engaged in fights around the capital, while mobs are said to be forming around the city center. Parts of walkways, and bricks are said to be getting picked up, and distributed by the mobs. Many are angry about the reported human right violations that Lavanan prisoners have suffered, and are calling for "retribution".

3:00pm November 19
Reports are circulating that Armed Mobs are beginning to ask for ID's of passerby's and threatening to attack any Hacyinian or Zorasani nationals. Internet is said to be slowing down around Lavana, as increasing radicalization online is being reported on by national and international sources.

5:00pm November 19
Many believe that the Lavanan capital has descended into chaos, as armed gangs are roaming the city looking for Zorasani and Hacyinians to brawl with. Hacyinian individuals in the majority Oroqic areas of Pers are said to be hiding from Oroqic gangs. Premier Laina Keomany set to make announcement at 7pm tonight.

7:30pm November 19
Premier Laina Keomany gave a brief announcement to the Lavanan public asking for peace and calm. Citing health problems the Premier announced her resignation and appointed Minister of Economy Emmanuel Bakhtzhany, to be her interim replacement before one can be elected by the Lavanan Congress (who will vote for her selected replacement). Keomany stated that the decision was reached as a result of a medical diagnosis by her physician, who recommended she reduce the amount of stress in her life. Stating that the decision was taken as a health precaution. Bakhtzhany called on the public to return to their homes and stop the needless violence, something Keomany repeated as well during her speech.

Online videos showing armed gangs attacking passerby's in Pers have emerged. A Zorasani man is said to have been lynched by a mob, after he was identified as Zorasani.

BY-ELECTION IN INEWEYU-GUARDIA SCHEDULED FOR DECEMBER 16TH
Dalmazio Pasquarello, former MNI leader will resign to ensure that Garon Ripley will have a seat in the Chamber of Commons

Garon Ripley delivering his first speech as leader of the Movement for a New Imagua

Four days after Garon Ripley secured the leadership of the Movement for a New Imagua, and Dalmazio Pasquarello's announcement that he would resign from his position as the Member of Parliament for Ineweyu-Guardia, Pasquarello officially tendered his resignation as MP, and requested that a by-election be called for December 16th, so to guarantee that the "people of Ineweyu-Guardia can have a seat at the table when Parliament returns from Nativity recess."

This request was granted by President Edmondo Privitera, scheduling the by-election for Friday, December 16th. Thus, voters in Ineweyu-Guardia will now have the opportunity to vote for a candidate to represent them in the Chamber of Commons, and marking the first time since the 2012 general election that Dalmazio Pasquarello will not be the incumbent for the seat.

So far, the following parties have declared the following people to be their candidates for Ineweyu-Guardia:
  • Assimas Independence - Eligio Carillo
  • Democratic Labour - Riccardo Gallicano
  • Greens - Giulitta Figliahans
  • Movement for a New Imagua - Garon Ripley
  • Sotirian Defence Party - Rafael Holbrooke
  • Sotirian Labour - Gautiero D'Alesandro
  • Western Arucian Section - Melissa Crespi
Besides the seven candidates already nominated, the Farmer's Party, the Prohibition Party, and the Provincial Party have expressed plans to run candidates in the by-election for Ineweyu-Guardia. The final deadline for registering candidates to Elections Imagua for the by-election is on Friday, November 25th.

Although pundits at ITS predict that the Movement for a New Imagua will hold onto their safe seat in Ineweyu-Guardia, issues such as Garon Ripley being a county councillor in Saint Christopher's, and Ripley having no ties to the constituency mean that it will be more competitive than usual. This may be good news for the Sotirian Labour Party, who lost all of their Assiman seats in the last general election, and who previously held the seat from 2000 until Pasquarello defeated then-incumbent Benjamino Vanore in 2012, and whose candidates placed second in the 2016 and 2020 general election, and who could exploit Ripley's Estmerophone status to humiliate him in the by-election.

State President hails "victory for the Union and our brother nation"
Provisional peace deal brokered by Emessa ends Yoloten conflict
POLITICS by Abdullah al-Mosawi

State President Rahim Ali Haftar addressing the nation.

State President Rahim Ali Haftar has proclaimed victory in Hacyinia describing the agreed peace deal as a “victory for the common peace, a victory for Union and our brother nation.” Talks held in Emessa secured a peace deal ending near two weeks of war that may have left over 10,000 dead on both sides.

In his short televised address welcoming the peace deal, the State President said, “the word out of Emessa is peace. This war shall end and a new order shall emerge from it. What is clear from the end of this conflict is that the Union and Hacyinia are victorious, together we defeated the Lavanan socialist regime.”

“The enemy failed in all objectives. It sought to enforce the Yoloten’s terror regime’s independence it failed. It sought to acquire more territory off Hacyinia, it failed. It sought seize Dabulug and overthrow the government, it failed. Not only was the invader repulsed, the terror regime in Yoloten has been significantly reduced with central government authority returned to vast areas. This is a victory for the common peace, a victory for Union and our brother nation” he said.

“If it was not for our heroic revolutionary army, the socialists may well have succeeded, and we would have found the Brown Sea Community on another border. If we had not stepped in, the Hacyinians would likely be gagged and beaten beneath the clawed feet of Lavana. Our sons and fathers in the army saved Hacyinia, saved peace and made clear that no nation should dare doubt our red lines or intentions again. Through our brave actions we have shown the world our might and let the world accept that the Union is a power to be reckoned with - we will defend our interests and our allies, we will preserve the peace” he said further.

The State President concluded by paying homage to Zorasani soldiers killed in the conflict, saying, “as we welcome the return of peace in victory, let us also give thanks and prayers to the 576 Zorasani soldiers martyred in defence of order and peace. Let us give praise and honour them for their sacrifice for the noblest of causes.” This is the first confirmation of Zorasan’s casualties since fighting between it and Lavana began last weekend. The Ministry of National Defence is expected to issue a full report on casualties including the names of martyred soldiers in coming days.

A special mass funeral is to be held in coming days for Zorasan’s war dead and injured where they will be honoured for their sacrifice. Another ceremony will be held at the Mausoleum of the Union Fathers for the commanders of the Southern Army Group down to the rank of captain, where they will be honoured for commanding forces to victory.

Chairman of the Supreme Council of the Revolutionary Armed Forces, First Marshal of the Union Sardar Ashavazdar Golzadari said in statement released online, “our indomitable forces, our heroic servicemen have delivered in the south a victory for the Union and Hacyinia. Our brother nation is secured, the socialists repulsed. Let no nation test us again, we promised retribution, we unleashed it. We said if the enemy wished to test us in battle we would not back down, we did not. From this great day forward, let those nations know we are the guardian of peace in Coius, we are the power that protects the peace. Glory to our martyrs, glory to our armed forces and glory to the Union.”

The provisional peace deal reached in Emessa mandates that Zorasani and Lavanan forces withdraw from the Yoloten, excluding Hacyinian forces and fighters of the PAMFY terrror regime which retains control over the southwestern portion of the territory including the capital of Ikintaryq and the city of Karakiya. The areas north of the Esentay River and those south of it liberated by Zorasani forces in the last days of the war will be returned to Hacyinian control. The Lavanans will withdraw from southern Hacyinia where they suffered heavy losses against Union forces. The withdrawal will be overseen by peacekeepers under the Community of Nations.

Union Forces stationed in Yoloten will begin withdrawing back to northern Hacyinia once Dezevau had withdrawn its forces from the border with Hacyinia. The MoND has for its part stated that the high alert status for the military will remain the same until the completion of the withdrawal process.

The foreign ministry has also confirmed it is locked in talks with Hacyinia to discuss “arrangements that will improve the security environment for future generations.” This purportedly includes possible Hacyinian membership of the Rongzhuo Strategic Protocol Organsiation and a permanent Zorasani military presence in the form of a training system and a possible “Rapid Reaction Force.” Though details remain unverifiable at this stage.

In a brief statement released to the media, Foreign Minister Faraz Shazad applauded the peace deal ending war but said, “as we move on from this intense but short period of darkness, we must do so conscious of the fact that this peace has not settled the most fundamental issues and that we in the Union now face a vengeful socialist bloc. We must also be conscious that the lack of a fundamental and total conclusion means we may encounter this past situation again.

“Therefore it is imperative that the Union does what it takes to secure itself and its ally to the best of its ability. We welcome peace but we are cautious of its longevity.”

Government sources have reported a frustration within the National Renovation Front and the military of the peace talks taking place “too soon.” There is a growing opinion that once the Southern Army Group’s logistics has been improved, a renewed offensive would have enabled the liberation of all Yoloten, however, with Hacyinia’s forces in disarray it was clear on their part a ceasefire was needed. The same elements in government are now warning that another war is inevitable within years.

The Supreme Assembly has reportedly agreed to hold a vote on a non-binding proposal demanding the Union-Government not restore the embassy in Pers. In a letter sent to other deputies, it read, “while we may be victorious and having scattered the Lavanan to the wind, it is imperative that we do not restore in him a sense of validation or respect that would be provided by an embassy. Lavana will remain a threat to Hacyinia and the common peace until either Lavana is freed from socialism or the dispute is concluded on their terms.”

This is circulating alongside another open letter sent between deputies calling for Lavana and the BSC to recognised as “strategic threats to the Union.” Such recognition would require more active measures by the security services and the armed forces to protect the Union and its interests. This is likely to occur with disturbing reports of Lavanans reaching out to the criminal puppet regime in Adunis.

Lavana which invaded after a series of what it called “provocations”, suffered an estimated 27,000 casualties. Hacyinia which saw its forces collapse in the conflict across the frontlines also suffered over 20,000 casualties. This would make the conflict one of the bloodiest and intense in recent history.

Editorial: On behalf of all those here at Hadiqat ul Haqiqah, we offer our prayers and support to the fighting men of the Revolutionary Armed Forces who go to defend Hacyinia from the Lavanan enemy. Zorasan Zendebad.

keynote address.

The first of several events to take place celebrating the victory in Hacyinia and honouring the country’s martyrs took place in Zahedan today – where an estimated 1 million people came out to greet the bodies of five commanders killed in a Lavanan missile strike. The funeral procession travelled the “Martyr’s Route” before being transported to Sattarishahr for internment.

The five martyrs were named on Sunday as Sartip Davom (Second Brigadier General) Mahmoud Dostamzadeh, Sarhang (Colonel) Abdullah Ali Tariq, Sargord (Major) Mustafa Khattab, Sargord Ashavazdar Karimi and Sarvan (Captain) Omar Al-Masri. They were the commanders of the 14th Armoured Brigade which was operating in southern Hacyinia. Their command post, based in the village of Azhibay was struck by two Lavanan missiles, leaving them martyred and a further 16 injured. It is understood that a Lavanan drone had identified the command post, enabling the strike. Their loss took similar forms to Zorasani strikes on Lavanan HQs that caused serious disruption to their southern forces and those in Yoloten, enabling gains against the invaders.

As the most senior soldiers to be killed in the ten-day conflict, the five martyred officers are entitled to a state procession, which was promptly authorised by the State Commission for Martyrs and Veterans Affairs.

Their bodies arrived in Zahedan on Sunday night, where they were prepared at the Sardar Al-Atassi Air Force Base. The State Commission for Martyrs and Veterans Affairs put out the call for citizens to attend the funeral procession as early as Friday morning in anticipation of the peace talks in Emessa reaching a conclusion. The Martyr’s Route was cleared of traffic at dawn this morning and to surprise of many organisers it is said, over a million Zahedanis came out to pay their respects to the martyrs.

Beginning at 6am, the procession left Al-Atassi Air Force Base, travelling through the district of Sattari. During its passing, citizens threw flowers onto the street and coffin, while many also placed their hands upon the vehicle carrying the coffins, praying in thanks for their sacrifice. The procession then turned onto the C2 highway that carried the five men to Ettehad Square, the entire length of the carriageway tens of thousands line the sides, by this time the attendants on the vehicle were forced to remove flowers from the vehicle which had built up in considerable number.

As it came off the C2 onto Hassan Farokh Avenue to approach Ettehad Square, the crowds grew. It was at this point that pre-placed loudspeakers began to project Irfanic funeral rites in honour of the five men, who had come to represent all other 571 Zorasani soldiers and pilots who died defending Hacyinia. The crowds swarmed the vehicle as they aimed to pay their respects, while others wept at their loss. Repeatedly across the route the crowds erupted into chants of ‘Zorasan Zendebad’ (Victory to Zorasan), ‘Šokuh-dan Shahidi” (Glory to Martyrs) and occasionally, “Marg Bar Lavana” (Death to Lavana). After a two-hour drive, the martyrs eventually reached Ettehad Square where they lay before a large platform that hosted several key speakers.

In sight of Ettehad Gate, Sardar Sadavir Hatami, the Deputy First Minister spoke first, being greeted with rapturous cheers and applause.

He told the colossal crowd: “we give thanks to these five martyrs, these five heroes, but we do so in honour of their brothers who also fell in defence of Hacyinia and in defence of an ordered world. These five men represent all those who were martyred in the south against a terrible foe.”

“We will remember them, these five and all the others. We will remember their names and their faces. The 576 who fell in defence of Hacyinia will be remembered for all time, their sacrifice a inspirational for all men, the fortitude and resilience of their families an inspiration for all families. Their blood will serve as the mortar of the paved road we travel as a nation toward the ultimate victory. And we will all take heart in knowing that our martyrs now circle paradise with the angels of God, and that they shall welcome each and everyone of us into that glorious world where we are all to return.”

He was followed by First Marshal of the Union Sardar Ashavazdar Golzadari who said, “we bid farewell to these men who now go onto the greatest of pantheons, our national martyrs. The men, the husbands, fathers and sons who gave their lives for our great homeland. These men gave their lives for another homeland, for our fraternal neighbours. And yet, this is no different – their heroism and their bravery will etch their names in our history alongside all others who made the ultimate sacrifice before them. Their sacrifice paved the road to victory and now we shall follow them always as we do all martyrs, on the road to eternal victory.”

State President Rahim Ali Haftar delivered an address electronically to the event saying, “blessed are these men, for now they go to join the angels in paradise as guardians of the next world. Blessed are these men and all men who fell in defence of Hacyinia, for their sacrifice has repelled the darkness that is socialism and upheld in our continent the order of peace. Their sacrifice is a lesson to those who would doubt us, who would doubt our sincerity. Their sacrifice is an inspiration to us all, for they were willing to give their blood and lives for our national cause. Their sacrifice will never be forgotten.”

Other commanders deployed with the Southern Army Group were present electronically to pay homage to their comrades. Major General Shohjahon Rakhim, who commanded the operation and is in Hacyinia to oversee the withdrawal of Zorasani forces from Yoloten per the peace deal, told the nation by video-link, “I mourn the loss of the five as I loss every one of my men. I teared for them, they were good men, good soldiers and patriots. They were proud warriors of the Union, our Union Fathers and National Renovationism. They gave their lives willingly and go to God knowing we secured victory, that is the greatest honour bestowed upon them. We will remember them and all our martyrs.”

The addresses were concluded, and the coffins carefully transferred inside the vehicle carrying them. It departed to cheers and applause from the vast masses around them, taking the Kandovan Highway to Sattarishahr, where they were interred at the State Martyrs Memorial Cemetery, where their families and friends were joined by State President Rahim Ali Haftar, First Minister Gafur Qahor and the Chiefs of Staff of the Supreme Council of the Revolutionary Armed Forces who had flown ahead of the cavalcade by helicopter. Their internment was overseen by Supreme Custodian of the Shrines and Faithful, Ayatollah Ali Roshani.

This marked the first major national event to mark the victorious end of the conflict in Yoloten. Tomorrow, the Supreme Council of the Revolutionary Armed Forces will host an event honouring the forces deployed to the country, at the National Defence Headquarters in Sattarishahr. Those who will receive medals and commendations will be announced at the event.

On Thursday, the officers of the units deployed under the Southern Army Group will be honoured again and officially in person at the National Mausoleum of the Union Fathers. Who in turn will be given an opportunity to honour their fallen comrades.

On Friday, the events will conclude with major rallies held across the Union simultaneously, where national and union republic leaders will address the crowds in celebration of the defence of Hacyinia.

Editorial: On behalf of all those here at Hadiqat ul Haqiqah, we offer our gratitude and admiration for all our victorious martyrs who ascend over the vanquished armies of socialism and the imperialism of the so-called "Brown Sea Community".

Large protests and marches in support and opposition of ceasefire agreement in the Yoloten continues
Saigo Takahashi| 20 November 2022

Major protests have erupted in Lavana both in support and opposition to the ceasefire signed between Lavana and Hacyinia.

Cars set alight in Pers.

The night left central Pers in a level of violence not seen since the Coup back in March, when Lavanan soldiers, tanks, and helicopters fought for control of the largest city in Lavana. Laina Keomany the former Premier of Lavana has seen the failure of her policy in regards to Hacyinia, has delivered a defeat of nearly incomparable proportions. Lavana which has yet to begin its pullback from Hacyinia and the Yoloten, as it awaits Community of Nations peacekeepers and observers to ensure a fair and coordinated pullback from occupied and the yet again demilitarized Yoloten. Tensions in Pers and Ikinaryq have been reduced as Zorasan and Hacyinia have not exploited their advantage, and are instead awaiting the Community of Nations peacekeepers. However the night that Pers has experienced, will be one to remember.

Images of men and women covered in blood joined Lavanan soldiers in the hospitals of Pers, as protesters lynched several Zorasani and Hacyinian nationals. Lavanan sources have been eager to hide whether anyone has been killed, perhaps to avoid possibly triggering a response from Zorasan and Hacyinia, whose former embassies are still set on fire as the morning appeared. Lavanan police and soldiers patrolled the streets, ensuring that no further protests can materialize against or in support of the ceasefire, fear in the regime must be that this anger might turn into anger against the Lavanan government. Which now more than ever appears vulnerable.

Laina Keomany who had sought to obtain as much power as the great Goube had only achieved, Keomany's exit is unexpected as she had begun building a cult of personality, and was eager to establish a Pre-Keomany age, and a post-Keomany age. However such plans have taken a tumble at best, and a fatal shot at worst. Although Keomany's power is no longer tied to her title of Premier, she does lose that public face that she had enjoyed greatly, instead being reduced to just the less public General Secretary of the LSWI. Although considerably less powerful than her predecessor, she still commands incredible respect and power. Emmanuel Bakhtzhany is a man closely connected to her, perhaps most importantly a man related by marriage to the Keomany clan, and who owes to Laina Keomany herself his current position. Bakhtzhany is credited with creating the economical policy of Keomany, which had prior to October 1st, ensured Lavana a country escaping a violent coup, and terrible reputation escaped Economical hardship. Her decision indicates that Lavana will continue her (Bakhtzhany's) economical policies, along with her (Bakhtzhany's) foreign policy. Both Economical and Foreign Policy decisions were closely coordinated prior to October 1st, and will continue to do so after the terrible failure in Hacyinia. Bakhtzhany as well is closely connected with, well what remains of the Lavanan Military. As his son is a general in the army, and not any general. He is the general of the 101st Armored Brigade, which is expected to have suffered tremendous losses, but ultimately was among the best units in the Lavanan military.

Although little is expected to change in regards to the future of Lavana, one thing is for certain, conflict will occur again. This fact will dominate Lavanan policy for the next 10-20 years. Zorasan did everything to ensure that Hacyinia would survive, a beaten half-dead Hacyinia must now find someway to repay Zorasan for its help, and its not exactly in a position to say no, with Zorasani forces deep inside Hacyinia. Perhaps forever. Membership of the ROSPO was mentioned by Zorasan, a clear next step in the trajectory of Hacyinia. Dams, economic, and military equipment are set to follow next. Lavana has turned its neighbor into a foreign base of Zorasani, and soon Shangean interests. Senria carefully measured its response to the situation in the Yoloten, yet was supportive of Lavana, something that will continue. Lavana mended its relationship with Chistovodia, and Valduvia as both provided aid to the Lavanan invasion. Dezevau for its part is the biggest question mark in this conflict.

The Dezevaunis have been quiet to voice opposition to what their ally was doing in the leadup, and during the invasion. Yet the sight of Zorasani troops inside Hacyinia does worry Dezevau, who must see the stream of ambulances, trucks heading from Lavana to its hospitals for the hundreds of Lavanan and PAMFY casualties, as a reminder of now Zorasan on both of its borders. Lavana had threatened to use to Brown Sea Community to escalate the conflict, and ensure Zorasan did not cross into Lavana. Yet it showed a certain level of disagreement between the two key allies. Zorasan did not need to be told that Dezevau could be involved, they did not need the warning. Dezevau had positioned troops in the west ready to intervene, yet perhaps it showed Zorasani lack of belief on either a Dezevauni intervention, or its belief that Dezevau would not be enough to turn the tide. Dezevau had no intention of being involved, and is clear informed Lavana that its red line was considerably behind the Zorasani red line, information which must have told Lavana to launch a full scale offensive and hope Hacyinia would collapse before Zorasan arrived, something Lavana almost obtained. Dezevau has been behind its ally at all moments, yet its clear that it did not support the Lavanan invasion. It is most likely that they warned Lavana of their aggressive rhetoric, while recognizing that Lavana had to react.

The biggest question of this conflict will be what really occurred behind the scenes, as the Lavanan and Hacyinian armies stood in their mutual border, waiting. For a full week, the Lavanan army lay waiting at the border, perhaps debating what they would do, would they enter the Yoloten? Or would they invade Hacyinia? Or nothing? Lavana appeared to be reactionary on what Hacyinia did. For a full 11 days, Hacyinia was in violation of the 2004 agreement, yet Lavana lay waiting. The Lavanan government warned of "imminent" chemical attacks on its cities, of sudden terrorist attacks. Yet Lavana did not invade until troops had entered Lavana, something international sources have questioned. If the Lavanan government never told a lie to its people and the international community. Lavana appears as a highly reactive, backpedalling, aggressive country. If however the story the Lavanan government told, was perhaps less truthful, then Lavana appears as highly incompetent and undecisive. Lavanan tanks would had caught the Hacyinian Khan escaping Dabulug, long before Zorasan had a chance to move troops into Hacyinia, impossibly the amount they moved at least, had Lavana attacked on October 31st, or November 1st. Had Lavana invaded on November 3rd, we would be talking about whether Zorasan had committed a mistake in getting so involved with Hacyinia. If the Lavanan story is less truth, why didn't Lavana attempt such a thing as soon as it could? The primary argument against the Lavanan story being a false flag, is the fact that there would be no reason for Lavana to have waited so long. Lavana would had started its false flags on the 1st, and invaded as soon as possible, instead Lavana allowed Hacyinia and Zorasan to build up its units, commands, and prepare for anything. Lavana had nearly destroyed Hacyinia in 4 days, before Zorasan arrived. What could had Lavana obtained had they had 5 days, or 6 days prior to Zorasan arriving in force? Additionally why take the decision to launch a full invasion of Hacyinia? Not even in 1992, had Lavanan tanks attempted to push deep into Hacyinia, what had made Lavana take such a decision? Would Zorasan been as involved had Lavanan troops just placed troops in the Yoloten?

As this conflict is in the short term memory, perhaps even going on, we cannot say for certain. Hindsight is 20/20, and time allows a more accurate image of events, people, and ideas. The truth regarding the conflict will appear some day, not today nor tomorrow. Yet as time passes, we will be able to answer the question everyone has. What really happened in the mind of Laina Keomany, that led to the largest conflict in the last 10 years.
