Personnel: For any promoted team, the step from the Tikariot Second League into the TPL is a big one, especially if it has been several years since the club has been in the top-tier. Alcassar 1896 find themselves in this position, but their personnel approach differs greatly from what many, if not most, promoted sides usually display, placing a lot of trust into the players that had managed to win promotion, even if some of them are relegated to the bench, instead of exchanging most of the squad for more experienced players. They were able to lure some interesting talent from relegated teams and benches to Acrassia with the likes of Sakari Vainionpää and Marvin Thorniley even boasting former national team honours for Tikariot, while strikers Piero Velardi and Dennis Spaviero have previously featured on the Macbonian and San Ortelian teams as well.
Most eyes will be on the re-tooled midfield, though where Thorniley and Cassar Levandrio are escaping reserve roles of last season, trying to prove to their former clubs that they should have been in starting positions, while Sakari Vainionpää and Chromatik hopeful Yoichi Shigetaka are banked on bringing in stability along the flanks. An interesting detail is that Alcassar will unite the only two Tlacocuilcan players in the TPL with Ysgrann Bay's Uetzcayotl teaming up with Per-Olov Rylander in central defense, while TSL's Golden Cannon winner Ixtlilxochitl is one of three of last season's starters remaining in the opening line-up alongside Velardi.
Last season: After having been stuck in the grey midfield of the second division for several years, the Acrassian side took many by surprise when early on in the season they used a streak of 13 undefeated games to establish themselves at the top of the table and refused to let go until the very end, seeing them seven points ahead of second-placed Varakoula Warriors and an impressive 17 points clear of the fifth position. Employing a very aggressive offensive pressing system, the 96ers worked off a "shoot first, ask questions later" approach, which clearly was very well embraced by fans and feared by the opposition, leading to Alcassar securing promotion quite early.
Outlook: As much as their very offensive tactical system proved to be successful in the TSL, as much of a risk it could be to employ the same in the TPL, where the seas are a lot rougher and they have to be very careful not to get swept away in the emotional high that comes with a surprise promotion, especially with how dominant the team had been. A lot will depend on how the team can transition into the top tier of Tikariotian football and avoid to get steamrolled, as well as being careful not to underestimate the additional pressure and attention of both fans and media at the highest level.

Personnel: Despite a quite topsy-turvey campaign, White Wings management has decided not to do what many other clubs in the past have done and start major re-tooling of the squad, but are rather taking a more filigree approach, working on immediate needs instead. The retirement of Valladar midfield stronghold Sergio Gilardón definitely is the most painful of changes and it will be very big shoes to fill, but Mertagnian Martine Aldergrass joining from relegated Ancarea FC is seen as one of the best left midfielders the league has to offer over the last two years and her stepping in to join fellow lime-flagged Erdotza de la Fontaine and Branoc Letemendia should soften the impact. Also riding into the sunset is Sylestonian veteran Joseph Tasserton, who is going back to finish off his career at home, with Licentian Toby Ferguson stepping in, which should provide Avanaroch with a seamless transition in central defense.
Off-season moves for Peter Ørberg and Eric Longdon have bolstered the defensive reserves, which will encourage some healthy competition in the back four to allow the offense to focus on what they do best and here obviously a lot will hinge on Aldergrass being able to confirm her outstanding numbers and performances in Gilardón's wake, while it will be interesting to see how Samuel Montgomery and Letemendia are going to split their times as partner of Alan Castanheira upfront.
Last season: The fact that the White Wings only spent two match days outside of the top ten is a sign that the Avanaroch team is on a good path to establishing themselves as a force in the TPL again, being able to start eyeing international competition instead of the relegation zone. New signing Samuel Montgomery suffered a partially torn ACL two minutes into match day 1, keeping him out of action for the following 24 matches was tragic, but gave way to an unexpected revival of Branoc Letemendia's offensive production. Together with Alan Castanheira, evergreen Sergio Gilardón, and Erdotza de la Fontaine, he managed to provide enough firepower to overcome the defensive woes, which were conjured up by some severe injury issues that ran rampant across the whole defense with season-ending injuries to both centre backs Joseph Tasserton and Damjan Protić early on in the season.
Outlook: Avanaroch management and fans alike hope that the measured approach during the off-season will allow coach Kenneth Thaney to continue building the squad and using the season as a foundation to continue their ascent within the league and avoid another promising start to fade away. Much of it had been owed to injury issues, so it will be key to try to keep players healthy, but overall the squad looks the most balanced it has in years, which raises the hopes, but also expectations on the team itself.

Personnel: Rare as it is, Baraldhur did escape their one-year stint in the second division with a surprising number of players that were already on the squad when the unexpectedly went down, with names like Chatelet, Morrow, Greenlaw, Dequevedo, Crain, Everett, Lombardo or Gustavino. The only two bigger names that left the club after the promotion were Ulrich Slaven and Julian Roxford, but it is more about the incoming players that will attract attention as it is more of a sign of where things might be headed.
There are four new names in the starting XI, with Fíneamhain Ní Dorcháin joining from Meriador, Alexander MacLeish making the move from Avanaroch, Mytanar Mehir Altikulac signing from Valnohar and finally Sylestonian Callum Blair jumping ship in Ancarea, which if clicking with the existing core of players could form a good jumping off point for the Balkashians in season 106.
Last season: It was telling that Baraldhur ended up being the only one of the four relegated teams to manage to get promoted again right away, showing how incredibly competitive the TSL was last season. Despite having suffered from the same fate that most relegated teams fare, getting their roster pilfered by other TPL teams, Baraldhur did manage to keep a surprising number of players, especially their young talent, which ultimately likely was one big decisive factor to make it back up. While in the end they were a mere four points up from the cut, it was a lot closer throughout the season itself and the TPL experience from a couple of couple of players definitely helped them go all the way.
Outlook: Getting into the TPL and staying in the TPL are two very different things, however both the Carathyr Emeralds and Morannon Athletic have proven of late that it is not just possible, but also that there are opportunities to build a foundation fairly quickly that can re-establish long-standing members efficiently. The fact that Baraldhur was able to keep a core of experienced players together and just had to complemented in certain positions should be a clear plus and even though none of the players that had left the team after their suprise relegation, as some had expected would happen, it does not mean that this might not be an option if the club can stay in the league this season.

Personnel: Before the season there was some doubt cast upon the Emeralds' midfield after the departure of Audun Myrdal and Seguinus Tesserant de Linge, followed by the signing of Þorgríma Ástþórsdóttir and Marsaili MacClure. Little could anybody foresee how well the two ladies would slot in perfectly between Bjarnólfur Aðalsteinsson and Lloyd Cumbernauld to play very important roles in Carathyr's incredible season dominating the TPL with the eventual championship at the end. Together with the excellent goal-scoring efforts by talented youngster Sebastiano Monteverdi and veteran Nycollas Mauranghas and the strong defensive corps, Carathyr presented themselves as an incredible tight unit that also managed to overcome several injuries to be the kings (and queens) of the hill.
Management saw no reason to change anything, quite literally, as there was no squad movement at all other than Eastfielder Ioghan Jacobsen moving over from relegated Vantanoch FC as additional bolstering of the defense, until Tikariot City FC activated a clause in Monteverdi's contract to bring him back very close to the trade deadline, as he had originally come through their academy system, to replace Ellis Wagstaff. Luckily for the Emeralds, Qusmi striker Pilta-Oxolt Can, who had seen relegation with Vilharady, was still available, so they scooped him up shortly after Monteverdi had made the trip to Tikariot City to fill in the gap, hoping that he could replicate Monteverdi's numbers in a far better functioning team than what the Owls were able to provide him with last season.
Last season: It was an absolutely magical season on the Emerald Coast, with the Carathyr Emeralds holding the #1 position for 36 of 38 weeks, which is a record in the 105 seasons of the league. With three of the four signings coming from relegated Ysgrann Bay Eagles, pundits were less than convinced of the management's strategy, however, both Þorgríma Ástþórsdóttir and Marsaili MacClure proved to be the perfect pieces of the puzzle that managerial wizard Arthur Wolseley managed to assemble for the Emeralds to win their eighth TPL championship in commanding fashion. Be it the goal-scoring prowess of Oberouran Nycollas Mauranghas, Licentian MacClure, and local prodigy Sebastiano Monteverdi or the tactical command of Ástþórsdóttir and Bjarnólfur Aðalsteinsson, they all came together as an extremely tight team unit that showed that it could overcome injuries and dips in form, while the complete defensive unit had stellar seasons, never leaving any doubt that the championship belonged anywhere but Carathyr!
Outlook: While the surprise factor has long come and gone, Carathyr's main enemy could be their very success, or rather what has turned out to be the "champions' curse" that has plagued the title holders for several years now, with the additional games in the IFCF competitions. It had taken its toll on every champion in recent years, so it will be interesting to see how the Emeralds will be able to withstand the additional strains. The fact that the Pilta-Oxolt/Monteverdi switch is the only change in the line-up gives hope that they will be able to hit the ground running and build on the momentum of their fantastic campaign, but the competition has ramped up their squads, so the competition for the green-and-white will be stiffer than ever in their attempt to hold on to the silverware in season 106.

Personnel: Crimsonhawke's experiment of "bringing the band back together" of signing up young and exciting talent that had originally come through their academy worked surprisingly well, keeping them in the league quite successfully and even spawning some national team caps across the roster. Reason enough for management to avoid any sudden moves and instead allow for coach Montgomery Burton to continue to finetune things instead of upsetting the balance. The most focused-on players were the Spiteri siblings Johanna and Kevin as well as offensive revelation Flavia Harrowdale, who, after a very slow start that had even put her starting position in doubt, ended up being the team's offensive leader.
The only off-season moves involved strengthening the bench, including signing Kathleen Chamberlain's sister Vanessa and Graentfjaller striker talent Varða Vígsteinsdóttir, but once again with a focus on young, highly promising talent in the hopes that the Hawks can avoid the dreaded sophomore slump that has taken so many clubs back into the second division.
Last season: Despite never managing to go higher than 11th in the table, Crimsonhawke FC avoided the most alarming relegation worries for the biggest part of the season. Playing a very cheeky, open-vizor style, the young team quickly became fan favourites across the country, which did land them in some hot water in several of their games, but their never-say-die attitude worked in their favour in the end. Courtesy of the Liga B Champions Trophy they also went onto a brief international romp, beating Café FC from Darmen, who had just eliminated Morannon in the previous round, but Valladar FC Sillimus eliminated them in the playoff round, keeping them out of the group stage. Remarkable fact: Out of the seven players they signed before the season to play their starting XI, five originally came from Crimsonhawke's own youth system.
Outlook: After defying the odds in their first season back to the TPL, Crimsonhawke hopes to be able to build on the very solid, young foundation that was one of the most refreshing breaths of air the league has seen in a long time and brought the team a lot of new fans across the nation. With the added experience both as a team and overall a full season on TPL level with the amount of talent the squad has, the club should be able to avoid the worst relegation worries. They have all the right ingredients to make Crimsonhawke a TPL mainstay again, now it is up to them to make sure that the recipe is executed as well.

Personnel: Having gone into last season after some major retooling, the year didn't quite go as planned for the Bulls as they hadn't quite managed to go for the IFCF push they had envisioned. This had left Dhun Lagarr with the rather unsavoury problem of an aging squad that, while having plenty of experience to go around, left them with seven out of eleven starters over the age of 30. With Askari veteran Ravanna Ballarin riding off into the sunset of much deserved retirement, Paulin Bourguignon having lost his starting position and Iomelda van Hoogstraaten having made the move to Guillarim, Bulls management once more went to the drawing board, but this time were a lot more delicate in their approach.
Quebecois left back Dana Akiak was brought in from Vantanoch, who had been one of the few true bright spots over the two last seasons in Paladon, while young StrayaRoos star striker Cruz Kaiplo is poised to partner up with Hamish Stainthorpe in what could be an intriguing young duo upfront. The only other summer signing was Anhedron's Matthew Vitelli coming back to the TPL to bolster the defense.
Last season: After a somewhat wonky first third of the campaign, the Bulls managed to steady the ship in the waters of midfield, but looking at their pre-season ambitions with the signings of Michelangelo Santini, Júlien Cantù, and Stella Boisbouvier in a complete overhaul of their midfield, one can't help but feel that it was another disappointing year for Dhun Lagarr. With an aging team, seven of their starting eleven at age 30 and over, it never felt like the Dhaencunori were in any real competition to push for an IFCF qualification spot, which could hint at more changes at Dhunmoor in the off-season.
Outlook: Given that five of their starters are still over 30, it feels for the second year in a row that if the Bulls don't manage to find success this season, they will have to go through part three of an overhaul that would have them have to look back on some sorely lost opportunities for some players that would likely have deserved more international play than they ultimately managed to get. The main hopes around Dhunmoor are put into finding a good balance between veteran presences and some youthful enthusiasm to push the envelope and go for another shot at IFCF qualification, aided by the additional spot Tikariot has available now, but time definitely is running out on half of their current generation of top players. If they can't qualify once again, then they wlil also risk losing some of their younger key players.

Personnel: After another rather non-descript season, Eivora management was faced with an important question: Give the current squad yet another opportunity to get things into order and finally take the crucial step forward or attempt to shake things up. The fact that with Angus Guinness (joining Nephara's Creed United), Brian Docherty and Derion Hutchins three of last year's starters left the club took care of at least part of this decision. The trio will be replaced by Chromatik talent Jedrossoll Hammerwhirl in the centre and Tikariotian Jordan Jillson on the right, looking for starting minutes after not having been able to consistently break into their starting line-up, while Cabo Azurean Cleto Silveira will be called upon in an attempt to repeat his meteoric rise in ill-fated Vantanoch's season alongside Iain Aspinall.
The midfield remains untouched after having been a very steady and tight-knit unit with especially Ko-orenite Zornim Turaulthen and Michael Gaffigan having had tremendous seasons that really helped keeping Eivora out of the lower portions of the season.
Last seasom: Eivora has been stuck in second gear, also known as no man's land of the table, for a few years now and despite this management did not feel the need to invest into the starting eleven, something that the arguably biggest name that came in before the season, Ysgrann Bay's Iain Aspinall, decided to change when he took matters in his own hands by scoring Calliope Montevecchi out of the line-up, who then ironically caught up after replacing an injured Angus Guinness. Like several other teams, a string of injuries did not help things along, though, which derailed a promising start to the campaign, but at least without the Griffins ever getting close to the relegation zone at least.
Outlook: The outlook is the same as it has been for the last few seasons, the look up into the upper regions of midfield with maybe an outside chance to cast an eye towards the IFCF spots and with the additions of Hammerwhirl, Jillson and Silveira they might finally be able to take that step as some fresh blood injected into the squad. Savigliano coach Gianluigi Sprezzatura does know, however, that this is likely his last chance to get the team to take this step forward, otherwise his position will become even more fragile than it already had been prior to the start of the new season.

Personnel: After another severely disappointing year that had the Blades dangerously close to relegation for more than half the season, the Frahulian side is hoping to be able to build on the successful ending to the campaign. With Rayyan Dodson joining Pyazhnayan perennial title contenders FK Vselitamak and Ashton Tomlinson, Jack Attacora and Tommy Nagel all announcing their retirement, Guillarim top brass was forced to shake up the squad and invest into some much needed new blood, which given their strict Tikariotian players only philosophy was a bit harder than for other clubs who have the wealth of the rest of the multiverse at their finger tips.
As far as the starting line-up goes, the changes are not that big with only Dhun Lagarr's Iomelda van Hoogstraaten joining in to replace Dodson while Andrea-Simona Azzopardi had already pushed David Irwin to the bench during last season, but the squad has seen some major strengthening in its breadth with the likes of Patrick Seagrave, Kanerva Räsänen or Jun Jacobs joining the ranks, which also will provide better coverage in case of injuries, which had been one area of particular concern for the club over the past two seasons.
Last season: The Frahulian team was the surprise IFCF qualifier two seasons ago and suffered from "the curse", but that didn't prepare them for the emotional roller coaster that would hit them this year. Sitting in the last position for 16 of the first 21 match days, the position of coach Helion Gauran was hanging by a thread when the Blades finally hit the ground running. Within four weeks they had left the relegation zone, never looking back, finally finishing in 15th, also thanks to one of the most dependable forward trios with starters Simon Arrowsmith and Adam Dodd as well as ageless super-sub Ashton Tomlison, who combined for 27 of the team's 50 goals.
Outlook: Helion Gauran knows that his position will be under immense scrutiny from the get-go and bookmakers have him very high on the list for first coach to be relieved from his duties should the Blades get into any of the problems they have had early last season. It will be crucial to get out of the starting blocks in a more convincing fashion and not only will the players feel this pressure, too, but for some of the bigger talent such as Celso Madrigal, Corey Sedar, Yosvani Fernández or also established players like Simon Arrowsmith might look elsewhere for more stability and potential for success. The talent is there, but after two severely underperforming seasons, this is "make or break" in many ways for Guillarim.

Personnel:
Khalgarh were as surprised by their unexpected promotion as most experts, which likely is one reason why they did not seem to have any clean-cut plan for their TPL squad, having leap-frogged Ysgrann Bay, Veriasod. Fort Viljan and Bul Khungur on the last match day of the season. So it does not come surprising that they mostly pilfered through the rosters of the relegated sides to bolster the team that had made the miracle happen. On paper only two starters from the promotion still stand in the opening line-up for match day 1 with left back Hank Stevenson and central midfielder Frederique Hamelin, but management tried to keep a balance between some seasoned veterans and promising talent not to make their first season back be a one-shot effort.
The most prominent off-season signings are Zeta Rekan striker Adam Wladić-Hermann and Kandorese midfielder Yukitaka Yamaguchi as well as Cabo Azurean forward Vasco Gouveia, who opted to leave Tikariot City FC for a starting role in the TPL to further his career. Overall coach Michael O'Shea hopes to be able to build a vertical axis of Hobbes, Dinanga/Hammoura, McCoy and Wladić-Hermann as main foundation and hope that all the moving pieces can be transformed into a cohesive whole rather sooner than later.
Last season: While having been in the upper half of the table for good parts of the season, next to nobody really had them on their notes for actual promotion until the very end. Operating with the --on paper-- second worst offense and second best defense, they definitely were not a particular joy to watch, but in the end it is efficiency that counts. As mentioned before, in an extremely tight finale for the last promotion spot, they beat all odds and jumped from eighth to fourth at the death of the season, sending the Khazaghian enclave into a frenzy for the first time in 16 years.
Outlook:How this will translate to the TPL, however, is on a completely different piece of paper, as the level of play and the denseness of the league is a different dimension altogether. And with the league operating as a 20-team entity for the second season now, there is far, far denser competition for the safe spots, which makes it a lot more difficult to survive. Given the very limited resources of the KVFC, they have to hope that they will be able to act as a tight unit that will bring the fight every match not to be overrun, especially at the beginning of the season. The starting eleven surely looks competitive, but once one looks at the bench, things start to thin quite quickly, so Khalgarh Valley definitely will enter Season 106 as one of the biggest underdogs of the league.

Personnel: With both Adam Wladić-Hermann and Lawrence Bowden gone, the Rivermen were faced with the challenge of how to approach the hole up front. Go for someone veteran and established or go for talent. In the end, they went with a hybrid of both, bringing in long-established Nathan Ekpetita from relegated Valnohar, while the number one spot off the bench will be an open race between two 17-year-olds, Mytanar Miran Zakubovnik and Tikariotian Giacomo Patriarca, two grade A level talents that will compete for the first-reserve spot next to Ekpetita or last season's Golden Cannon winner Snorre Fridtjofs.
Also new in the starting line-up is Celestina Kazmi, who outplayed Travis Chalbaud to the point where coach Laurent Chambéry couldn't justify Chalbaud starting games over the Eastlander. Other moves that were made to prepare for either injuries or an impending changing of the guard were for Vilharady fullback Ragnhild Fjeld Stenevik, who can play on both sides and could be seen as a potential heir apparent to aging Flavovespian right back David Blythe, who did have an outstanding season, especially offensively, as well as Graentfjaller keeper talent Stefan Friðríksson, who will act as both back-up, protege and, if the need arises, a prime competitor for Oceanne Audette.
Last season: The Rivermen were one of the most tragic figures this year, having been in the second position for almost half the season before running out of steam towards the end and finishing outside the IFCF qualification spots. The brightest light of the season undoubtedly was Squornshelan striker Snorre Fridtjofs, whose 19 goals were enough to secure him the much-coveted Golden Cannon award, almost doubling his combined efforts of the two previous seasons put together. He was generously helped by Jean-Jacques Vaniere and Ajufue Lorokelo producing plenty of crosses from the flanks, which also showcases a problem down the center, where Travis Chalbaud was a clear drop-off in quality, which led to an on-paper demotion for the upcoming season.
Outlook: With the moves to the starting eleven, the Rivermen addressed some key issues they faced last season with the exception of finding a potential successor to Tioguldan veteran Ajufue Lorokelo, who has not shown any signs of aging but will likely feel the ravages of time rather sooner than later. Avoiding reactionary re-tooling Kyethas feels they are ready to take the next step forward as they seem to be doing on a consistent basis right now, also keeping the pressure off Chambéry at least, for the time being, allowing him to continue working with a strong core and now also stronger bench to draw from. If things go right, the Wisemen might indeed be able to contend for an IFCF qualifying position this season.

Personnel: Despite not quite being as competitive as they were hoping for in the end, Miruan's slow re-build continues, this time addressing the right-back position, where they managed to lure long-standing Eivora mainstay Brian Docherty to jump ship and move to Paladon into what two seasons ago had been a defensive bulwark, but had started to show some cracks last season.
With Nicholas van Haar the only starter over the age of 30, Miruan feel that they have what it takes to consistently build on this core of players and just continue to add layers to the team and expand the breadth of the squad also on the bench, right/center back Spencer Miltaugh coming in from Ancarea and exciting midfield talent Simon Vlammenzee graduating from their academy.
The show-piece of Miruan's roster, however, undoubtedly is the formidable offensive duo of Annika Nurmsalu and Gary Conway, who did not take long to gel and scored 30 goals between them with the promise for more and also hope for some additional scoring from midfield or reserves to have the option to overcome potential defensive woes by sheer offensive pressure.
Last season: The black-and-turquoise was one of the steadiest teams of the season, operating in a secure midfield position throughout the year. The only major signing had been striker shooting star Annika Nurmsalu coming in from Bul Khungur to replace the unfortunate Niina Kivisto, who never really managed to find her spot in Paladon, and this proved to be a truly shining moment for Miruan management as her 18 goals and 8 assists, together with her very assertive style of play managed to secure her the award for TPL Player of the Year despite only being 19 years of age. Her partner upfront, last season's Golden Cannon winner Gary Conway, added 12 goals in an injury-shortened campaign (he lost 17 games), which shows that next season with both of them healthy could be spectacular.
Outlook: Similar to last season's outlook, the one key to Miruani happiness will be finding a way to keep the squad healthy, as injuries continue to thread through the last three seasons now. Looking at the squad itself, the talent for at least a Challengers' Cup spot is most definitely there, maybe even an outside chance for more, but unless they manage to curb the lost playing time to key players this might prove harder than it really should be. Obviously, the fact that they have not just one, but two of the league's brightest offensive talent scoring goals is a truly exciting prospect to keep an eye out for in the new season and these two alone could be game-changers at any time.

Personnel: Despite only escaping relegation on the last day of the season, Morannon's goal difference was the tenth best of the league, showing that both offense and defense didn't do such a bad job altogether. This likely was the reason, why Athletic management did not see the need for any big changes, with Toby Ferguson's transfer to Avanaroch the only bigger defection, which was compensated by signing Pyazhnayan Ulyona Khomkolova from the Emberton Hibernians in Krytenia, one of the toughest central defenders one can find out there.
Now while she is the only new face in the starting eleven, there are three other signings that also deserve special mention. In midfield, Morannon has already positioned itself for a changing of the guard as Omerican central orchestrator Fearchar Mac Cléirich has hit the tender age of 34 and Cardenoan Zoltan Keidobika will be competing with him for the starting spot, expecting to take over throughout the season. Mertagnian talent Jamie Lagueruela also has been brought on board in case something goes wrong, so the yellow and black attack is positioning itself well, which also is shown upfront, where HUElavian striker Gabriel Savedra was signed from the Bul Khungur Miners, after their quest for immediate re-promotion was thwarted.
Last season: The life of a promoted team always is difficult, no matter if coming back after one season or a long absence. Former TPL mainstays Morannon Athletic had decided to invest in their immediate future to secure a spot in next season's TPL as well, signing on players like Addison Gray returning from Eura, former Baraldhur players Fearchar Mac Cléirich and Clement McIlroy as well as Kuraitan internationals Lauris Indrašis and Jonas Adomaitis for an almost completely overhauled starting eleven. The first half of the season went very well for the Dominion, sitting in the top half for a good portion of it, before a slew of longer-term injuries in the defense caused them to stumble a few too many times in very tight games, sending the young team into a dangerous downturn, spending the last two months of the season just hovering on the fringes of safety. One might feel tempted to also at least partially blame Morannon's brief foray into international football in the Liga B Champions Trophy, but it was already over after two games against Darmen's Café FC, so we are not sure how much influence these had, other than the psyche. Only a concerted team effort and some other results kindly going their way pulled them to safety on the last match day of the season.
Outlook: While replicating the Carathyr Emeralds' stellar run last season, re-establishing themselves among Tikariot's absolute elite clubs with their dominant title run, will be very hard to achieve, there is a reason for optimism that with the strenghtened squad Morannon should not be a relegation candidate lest the dreaded sophomore slump really hits hard. Not having any international play interfere with their focus on the TPL might also aid their goals. The TPL's history, though, is littered with unpredictable outcomes, so taking anything for granted could prove disastrous, the tendency clearly is pointing upward, though.

Personnel: The biggest name arriving in Oriannor over the summer is one that a wide majority of fans has never even heard of: Siane Sundrifter. Considered one of Chromatika's biggest goal keeping talents, Sundrifter was signed straight out of the Z'ai'ai Institute of Technology to take over for Maore Garakoechea, who had already lost his starter position to Niron Andalay during the season. While Andalay himself exited Oriannor to join Khalgarh Valley FC. Licentian Cairbre Archibald and Israel Conrad are going to be battling for the spot next to Celyn Monaghan, especially with Chester Cartwright having predictably chosen to leave the team, joining Cordian Meadow Ridge Maples during the off-season, while Yekaterina Pshenichnikova taking over the second centre back position from Gré Arceneaux.
The arrivals of Kiarra Yates, Joel Basiala, Bleiz Denham, Antoinette Auverne and Jake Inxaugarate all fall under the canopy of "strengthening the depth of the squad", also with some speculative looks at the ages of Nick James (34), Celyn Monaghan (31), Xasthur Fredriksson (30) and Jardel Connolly (30).
Last season: While not quite reaching the lows of Port Tacassam, the Oriannor Mountaineers also found themselves in highly unfamiliar territory early on in the season, hitting the red zone early on. Despite calls for Damon McWard to step down, management stood by its coach and it paid off with the team finding its stride and steadily clawing its way up the table. Some of this can be attributed to McWard changing his approach with some of the young players receiving more playing time, some due to injuries, some due to dips in form, but it bore fruit as the season progressed.
New signing Jardel Connolly, who had been lured in from Port Rhovanyon to replace Pierre-Simon Duhamel, scored 11 times, having to bear the offensive burden with Xasthur Fredriksson being plagued by several smaller injuries, but the other two new faces to the squad that had been brought on as candidates down the road before the season were able to show that they are ready with Pyazhnayan Yekaterina Pshenichnikova and EFL's Viana Allam-Gordon showing that Gré Arceneaux's not always convincing performances could be compensated by either. Another interesting situation came up in midfield, where Chester Cartwright lost his starting job to Licentian Cairbre Archibald and Israel Conrad.
Outlook: Oriannor's off-season moves show that they are continuing to follow their laid out path without getting reactionary, which should, potential injuries aside, keep them on track for continued involvement in the title battle. While both Fredriksson and Connolly have hit their 30s, they will likely be on the look-out for heir apparents rather sooner than later, but for now there are few one-two punches that have more firepower at their disposal and the midfield is still top notch. A lot will depend on how quickly Sundrifter can adjust to TPL play, but given his talent, it should be more of a formality than true worry and the Mountaineers will definitely once again be a force to be reckoned with.

Personnel: After a remarkably consistent season in the very top end of the table, Firebirds management did not have much reason for adjustments to the starting eleven, even though some experts expect Juanma Saez to likely replace Franklin Mosnyk as Jesson Morrison's main partner in crime in the starting eleven. The main departure of the off-season is Savojar Victor Loeseth retiring, but Parakleion already had covered this predictable move last season, making this an almost seamless series of events.
In terms of incoming players, Vanorian centre back Fredrik Nystuen moving over from relegated Valnohar Rovers is the oldest player to join ranks and he is only 24, but more interestingly is that two 17-year-olds have found their way onto the roster in Stuart Prycross and Alfredo Saliver Peralta, giving them tremendous depth in midfield. Depending on aging Yuri Smyefinov's season, Gioachino Sgro and Aleksandra Novoseltseva will battle for the first-off-the-bench spot, which could mean that loan deals for either Prycross or Peralta could be on the horizon.
Last season: After several seasons that started out horribly, it was great to see what the Firebirds could be capable of if not faced with potential catastrophes from the get-go and also what some patience with a coach can do to a club. Sticking to Quebecois Antoine Chenier-Hong finally paid off as a clear tactical approach was evident from the start and also the transfer strategy bore fruit. Tumbran Neil Crozier's addition in defense added security down the right side, while Elouan Christelle from Chromatika proved to be a brilliant signing off bottom-dwellers' Vantanoch's bench, strengthening an already good midfield and taking it to the next level. But the signing of Cardenian striker Juanma Saez turned out to be the perfect supplement to the Morrison/Mosnyk duo, scoring a fantastic 13 goals in his debut season as super-sub and injury/suspension stand-in and it will be fascinating to see, how they will solve this "three players for two positions" conundrum. Looking at the season, though, it ended up in tragic form with the Firebirds losing the last match of the season in Pyathora, seeing them drop from second to third as a consequence and narrowly missing out on the Champions League.
Outlook: While it was great to see Parakleion enjoy a full season in the spotlight, it will be critical to see how the additional international games in the IFCF competition might affect them. The added depth to the squad, however, could have aptly prepared them to mitigate the extra strain and avoid them from suffering from the fate of many teams that struggled in the league after qualifying for international play. If they can adjust to this and players like Saez and Sukunda can replicate their goal scoring prowess, there is no reason not to expect the Firebirds to fly high once again.

Personnel: After several big name moves last off-season (see Nighthorse and Larrainzar), Port Rhovanyon's summer signings have focused a lot more on strengthening the overall squad in preparation for IFCF action. The biggest signing undisputably is Squornshelan goalkeeper Nurul Heiskanen, who will be battling with/replacing Bengt Palmgroen, who played well, but has shown too little consistency across seasons. Apart from this the starting eleven should look the exact same as last season.
Former national teamer Theodor Armitage returning to Tikariot from his extended stint in Eura will put more pressure on Jesse Liljestrand and Morris Nighthorse while adding a veteran voice to the frontline, without really obstructing budding star Nikita Dobrynina's continued growth within the squad. Also the arrivals of Ko-orenite rightback Saskia van Noordoren and 17-year-young Cenian leftback Mateo Qurimanta are investments into the future for potential seamless transitions from Ximon Bergstrand and Mac Salt in the years to come.
Last season: The Kraken were brightly in the spotlights before the season with the signing of Morris Nighthorse after Baraldhur's shock relegation the season prior, taking Jardel Connolly's spot, outshining the arrival of Cardenian midfield maestro Haritz Larrainzar. Like several other highly favoured sides, Port Rhovanyon also went off to a shaky start, but midway through the first half of the season found themselves within the IFCF-eligible parts of the table, only briefly dropping out of them until the end. Nighthorse's season, as much under close scrutiny as can be, was not a fantastic one either, as it took him a while to acclimatize to the new surroundings, but just as his form improved, so did the team's, and with him and Jesse Liljestrand turning into a very tight unit, Larrainzar very quickly adapted to his new team as well. While fans had hoped for more of contention for the newly awarded second IFCF Champions League spot, this season is more than a solid foundation to go for it.
Outlook: With the team firmly settled in and a few depth worries addressed, the Kraken feel ready to attack the new season for both a run in IFCF and another potential title run, they definitely have one of the best squads in the league and should be able to look ahead with confidence.

Personnel: In a, for Port Tacassam, turbulent off-season, the opening day line-up will see three new faces, which is unprecedented for the more recent past. Salman Faizullah, whose grasp at a first-team position already was tedious throughout the season, signed with the Jutland Cannons of the Cordian Isles, while Kohnheadian veteran Nicholas Radison made the move to Flavovespian Marthorpe City and Santo Silvestri accepted a one-year contract extension, which now will see him in a super sub role owing to his age and the fact that despite a promising start to the campaign a season-ending injury early on showed that he couldn't be relied on for a full-time start role anymore.
While Faizullah's position has been filled by bringing Tumbran centre back Wayne Forrest in from Valnohar, both Radison and Silvestri are replaced internally with Barnabaz d'Athenous and Gouesnon Fauchlevent stepping up to fill their respective positions, once more proving the remarkably steady and low-key hand of Port Tacassam's management. The loss of South Newlandian midfielder Timothy McCoy to a starting position with Khalgarh Valley FC is a bit of a sting, but given that they have Daniela Marmenlind and Samuel T. Gladstone as backups does still bode well for the Rams. Two new signings, though, have the football multiverse abuzz, though, as Port Tacassam managed to secure the talents of Graentfjaller/Chromatik twins Hrönn and Nana Sæsdóttir, who are seen as two of the brightest young talents at centre back to have emerged on the scene in a long time and it will be highly interesting to see how they will slot in for their development.
Last season: Port Tacassam's season can be summed up in several "What if?"s. The start to the season went from bad to worse very quickly, seeing the Rams hit rock bottom after match day 6, with 0 points in an unprecedented roll-out to a TPL campaign, leading to Hassan Al Jumaily being the first coach of the season to receive the sack. Bringing on former Pyathora Mariners manager Ray Socorro it only took a few weeks to see a big turnaround within the squad, which finally began to play as a tight team unit, soldiering through piling injuries thanks to the roster depth and a prime season by national striker Adrian Grimaud with 18 goals helped the Acrassian side climb out of the league's basement at least into a secure midfield position for most of the rest of the season, ending up just outside of the Challengers Cup qualifiers, but giving a lot of hope for the upcoming cycle.
Outlook: Hoping for a less challenging start to the season and an overall less injury-riddled season, Port Tacassam look remarkably well-positioned to resume their position as one of the TPL's top teams. They covered the departures very well while also once more adding building blocks for a bright future (one should not forget that within the next two seasons Isiah Cross and Callum Dwyer are also expected to graduate from their academy) that should definitely worry their competition. Barring similar issues as last season, the Rams should be in for a very competitive season attacking for at the very least a qualification for IFCF and maybe more, especially as they do not have to content with additional games this season.

Personnel: The Mariners were in for a very busy off-season with not less than four players retiring in Zion Grimes, Orlando Perozo, Kogruam Lupauro and Losduse Albofokh. While they had already prepared for some of them last season with the promotions/signings of Nemanja Ovčina, Cameron Ruhland and Barthelemy de la Cormeilles, this left several holes on their bench. The missing piece of the starting XI puzzle came from Valnohar with New Lusitanian spark plug João Palhagueira, whose experience and talent should give the Mariners another boost, even though Orlando Perozo is a very hard act to follow.
For the bench, the Acrassians have opted for a rather risky strategy of bringing in young and talented, but mostly unproven talent, at least when it comes to top-tier football, which has worked well for them in the past, but has this latent unpredictability that could spell both grand success or potential disaster, especially for a squad that will want to bounce back from a less bad version of the slumps many previous champions had suffered after their championships.
Last season: As mentioned before, the Pyathora Mariners were trying to beat the dreaded "champions' curse" and at the beginning of the season did a very good job in staying in the IFCF qualifier spots, but in hindsight, it is fairly easy to see how their increase in international games coincided with injuries becoming more frequent and also drop off in performance. The Mariners also managed to be one of the few teams to play in all three IFCF tournaments, starting out in the Champions League, where they eliminated Tanxjin FC from the Southern Palm Islands before Baker Park's New Bremen FC shunted them into the Fourth Qualifying Round of the Challengers' Cup, where Tropicorp FC from Turori put a very quick end to any group stage aspirations in this competition. But at least it led them into the group stage of the inaugural Association Trophy, where they finished second in a group with eventual group winners AC Mariina from Mriin as well as Savojar CASK Thorsborg and Delaclavan Manchester. Unfortunately, Kingsgrove from Brenecia proved to be too strong in the Round of 32, but all in all, it added 14 games to the season's schedule, plus an added two from their unceremonial first round dumping at the hands of Fontvielle Impact in the CdC. So it is easy to see how this could definitely affect a team that had been struggling against relegation in the league just two seasons ago and was not used to an extremely cramped calendar.
Outlook: This season Pyathora and coach Jason McMaster will have to prove that the championship was not a one-time fluke, but there are some doubts overall the overall quality of the roster to be able to really compete. That being said, if Duncan Silverwood and de la Cormeilles continue to shine like they have and the midfield adjustments bear fruit, there is a definitive chance to be in competition for returning to IFCF, but the title might be a little too far for the Navy's favourite team to aim for.

Personnel: Talk of the town, or rather city, was the departure of long-standing striker veteran Ellis Wagstaff, who went off to sign for Dalton Town of Baker Park in the off-season. While his offensive numbers had dipped a fair bit last season, it still came as a surprise, but things became even more interesting when his penciled-in replacement Vasco Gouveia also decided to leave the club, taking on a starter position in Khalgarh, where he'd be the undisputed number one striker, leaving a quite gaping hole in Tikariot City's frontline. After failing to attract the signatures of several international targets, together with Snowy Owls management feeling that Joe Delianov still needs some time to develop before being thrown in the deep end for good, former academy graduate and reigning TPL champion Sebastiano Monteverdi returns from Carathyr to take up the spot next to Graydon Sheffield for the new season, making for a very interesting prospect.
The only other top-level change already had been made during last season, when Chromatik goal keeper Raoul Carpathia finished the transition into the starting job, taking over from club legend Jess Oaktree, who will still act as third-string keeper within the club, but will mostly act as goal keeping coach in a move unanimously welcomed by Tikariot City's fans. Also gone is Jordan Jillson, who has joined Eivora Athletic, leaving Anders Skogensberg as number one substitute in central defense, but his meteoric rise, together with his surprisingly good offensive numbers make him a prime candidate to nudge the traditional starters of Caleb McKinley and Fernando Ferradura for playing time.
Last season: Season 105 was a tale of two very distinctly different halves for Tikariot City. As the only major transfer activity, Caleb McKinley came in to fill the big shoes of Dalton Aldridge in central defense, with the other signings all made with the future in mind, and at least for the first half of the season, fans were wondering, if management shouldn't have been more active after the Snowy Owls found themselves in 18th position after match day 10. With their international campaign in the Challengers Cup cut short by Efnakia's KFH Kehle, all eyes were on the league and the emergence of some expected and unexpected personalities. In goal, the transition from Nepharan club legend Jess Oaktree to young Chromatik prodigy Raoul Carpathia went as smoothly as anybody could have hoped for, while both Cabo Azurean Vasco Gouveia and young Joe Delianov showed plenty of promise in the light of Ellis Wagstaff's disappointing season and young center-back Anders Skogensberg, coming in from Baraldhur, turned out to be the team's second best goal scorer with eight. In the end, they edged into the Champions' League through a narrow, hard-fought win on the last match day of the season.
Outlook: Other than looking at how Monteverdi will settle in, the most interesting thing to look out for will be Tikariot City's IFCF run and potential consequences for their league performances, as well as how midfield legend Choam Osfomilúo will do, who at age 33 had still been going phenomenally last season, but at the same time still has the ravages of time gnawing away. As one of the most consistent clubs of recent years, the Snowy Owls definitely once more will have to be counted among favourites for both IFCF qualification and the title, so times at the Dhaencunor Arena should be exciting once more in season 106.

Personnel: Similar to the Guillarim Blades, whose "Tikariotians only" policy has seen them earn a lot of respect and at times also good deal of criticism in the past, the Varakoula Warriors go even one step further by restricting themselves to players with Cardannian roots. With the exception of Atamai Tameifuma in Kyethas, the only three Cardannian players ever to play in the top tier were Tui'uli Tuigamala, Patolomaio Matautia and Tamasese Savea, with Tuigamala and Matautia joining the Warriors for the first ever appearance of a team from the Archipelago in the TPL's history.
Given the fact that this means a lot of unproven talent hitting the league for the first time, a lot will depend on team spirit, which at least can be found in any player from the islands, given their close cultural ties. The big question, though, is if team spirit will ultimately be enough to survive in the steelbath known as TPL. In a predictable move, eight players of provincial neighbours Pharaeo AFC were signed by the Warriors in the off-season to bolster their squad. They did, however, find a potential loophole in the club's constitution, as it also allows for players with Cardannian roots, so the signing of Togonistan national team players Rai Kamakiwole, Henri Toelau and Keyn Menetua has caused quite some stir, but also excitement on the islands.
Last season: After languishing in the safe no man's land of the Tikariot Second League's midfield for years, the Warriors' surprising run for promotion took a lot of people by surprise, including their own management and fans. Coming in second behind runaway champions Alcassar 1896 FC, Varakoula scored the most goals out of any club in the top three tiers of the Tikariotian football pyramid, which helped mask some of the defensive shortcomings. What surely helped the team was the very tightknit support from the whole province standing behind them, with the notable exception of fans of Pharaeo AFC, obviously, as well as the factor that opposing clubs made the mistake of underestimating the team for good parts of the season.
Outlook: This is one of the most difficult teams to forecast how things might be going due to all of the above, but the self-proposed limitations do make them the number one contender for relegation, if looking at the bare stats. The surprise factor also has worn off to a point, but the unique clan/warrior character of Cardannians could still create some interesting momentum, which together with the low expectations could create another wave of underdog enthusiasm and underestimation that Varakoula could potentially benefit from, but that surely is not something one should automatically expect to happen, so this will be one of the most interesting clubs to keep an eye on in recent years.

Personnel: The most (only) notable loss in the off-season is the one of Salovaaran/Tikariotian double national Karoliina Karttunen, who moved on to sign for the Brookford Otters in Nephara, after feeling that her services did not receive the recognition, aka playing minutes, she felt she deserved. At the same time, Solomon Darnay, who really overperformed for the last two seasons in central midfield has surprisingly seen a demotion to the bench for the upcoming season, it is not exactly clear if there is any other reason than his age creeping in, but the Xarkian side did not waste much time and brought in Nelson McCray from the Valnohar Rovers to have a more than adequate replacement right at the ready. Melissa Chinesu's decision to explore Pyazhnaya instead of potentially snatching up the starting spot in Xanark, also surprised some, even though with the Prizrachnaya Brigada Cherniy Zamok she will be able to play internationally.
Looking at inbound players, Dragons management looked at both veteran leadership with Squornshelan Paiva Hedberg bolstering defense and Tjorlian striker Torstein Sondrol being brought in to put some more pressure onto Laura Kärkkäinen and Daelin McGlinchey to avoid any potential complacency, while Juven Michelangelo Grazzi, Pyazhnayans Danila Terentyev, and Danila Mukhametshin, and Xoren Hammarskog are young options for the season, with Terentyev already having gained some TPL experience last season playing for Vantanoch.
Last season: Sophomore seasons are notoriously hard on clubs with many teams succumbing to the call of the sirens below and it was Xanark City's turn to withstand this season. Former Baraldhur midfielder and national team member Stian Askebrand was the only significant signing and after a shaky start, the Dragons managed to stabilize, remaining in the upper lower half of the table, away from the relegation zone. They also had three fixtures in the Challengers Cup, winning their preliminary and first qualifying rounds against Second Period Honors Bio from Space Laser Dinosaur Robot Pirate Land and Oberouran Regium United before Darmenian Olympique Chuckio put an end to their fortunes. Despite good parts of the team not playing particularly well, it is a great example of what difference a good team unit makes and also what difference it can make if a team wins crucial games even when the opposition technically is the better team.
Outlook: Having been able to stave off the relegation, Xanark will now look into building on this and start to try to move up in the table. The fact that they managed to hold on to Easton Aird is a feat in itself, but unless he will be able to see some true growth, it will prove to be harder and harder and some might say that by not bringing any bigger improvement to Xark, other than McCray, could prove costly in the longer run. Depth could be a bit of an issue as well as goal keeping, where Daniel Bangoura did struggle on top of some disciplinary issues on field, but Yamamuro Yoichi, too, not having provided ample evidence to carry the team. Season 106 could be touch and go for the Dragons.
