Selkie, Koikaze means "Love Wind". The name came from this music, Koikaze. https://project-imas.wiki/Koi_Kaze

Wonderful. Problem is, there is also a fish by the name of koi. But that aside, it is completely immaterial for my people what koikaze means in Japanese, as in Okunaratsuran (which may or may not be Google Translator Japanese ; )), it means Fish Wind.

Then call it nishikigoi. If Koikaze gets called "Fish Wind", there's a pretty high chance she and Atlas will leave. The reason? They've been told pull out if the festival's atmosphere gets too heavy or toxic, or if there's an instance of any sort of "mean naming".

I had this idea where the two would likely leave should any form of bullying or harassment or heavy/toxic atmosphere be too much. Such "mean naming", or name-calling would result in the two leaving before it even starts. Any person who is rude or mean to them is enough cause for Atlas and Koikaze to leave immediately.

Sure, I may argue with anyone or hold some issues with anyone, but even I would not dare bully anyone.

In case y'all ask, the New Roman Empire is the modern incarnation of the Roman Empire, Western Roman Empire and Eastern Roman Empire, being led by the Constantinian dynasty (yes I still like Flavius Valerius Constantinus. It consisted of Greece, Bulgaria, Turkey and Cyprus. Below are the possibilities as to how and why the New Roman Empire existed.

Option I - More Than Megali(th): Greece managed to go above and beyond what it was supposed to have, leading to it bringing back the Byzantine Empire and also annexing the equivalent of Turkey whether peacefully or forcefully.
Option II - Byzantine Victory in Manzikert: The Battle of Manzikert ended in Eastern Roman/Byzantine victory, thereby preventing the Fourth Crusade from ever crippling the Byzantines in 1204.
Option III - Constantinvs Forever: For some reason that defies all things, the Constantinus dynasty remain in charge of the Eastern Roman Empire after Emperor Constantinvs I died and even after the Fall of the Western Roman Empire; the Eastern Roman Empire lost a bunch of territory and now has Greece, Bulgaria, Cyprus and Anatolia as its modern day territories, and had also reformed itself somewhere after the end of the Byzantine-Sassanid War. This is an impractical possibility.

Was gonna add Option III (Aftermath of the Spellcross War only) but I decided not to, considering it'd break the RP cuz this ain't FanMT.

I'd like to note, that no one present in possession of cooking utensils cooks Greco-Roman, so Conny (who is Kongou standing on the foredeck of a surprisingly modern looking DD, I'd be willing to bet this one) is going to be quite screwed or must do it like her Larson-class Starfleet Name Sister and go where no one has gone before.

Also, there is no cafeteria. There is the (large enough, don't worry about evil, evil Kyrenaian carriers) bar, where there is also a huge grill fire being set up.

to my understanding the american civil religion is basically the concept that america has a specific set of national beliefs/virtues and rituals/customs that sort of serve in place of ethno-religious justifications as the basis for american society

i quite like it. the idea that nations can have a non-ethnic/religious basis -- and that america in particular is one of those nations -- appeals to me greatly for fairly obvious reasons.
