Chief Secretary Gerrit Visser Calls Leaders Of Vesvai And The Union Of Oblaren And Herbora

Chief Secretary Gerrit Visser has confirmed that he has personally called Prime Minister Fila Nemo of Vesvai and Prime Minister Jonathan Mollisal of the Union of Oblaren and Herbora. He reached out with a plea for both nations to stop shooting and for their heads of government to come to West Zilveren Berg to agree on a formal cease-fire and to discuss and resolve all issues. Earlier, the Chief Secretary already called on both countries to end the skirmishes and come to West Zilveren Berg to talk, but a clear response did not arrive from either side, so now the Chief Secretary has reached out to both countries directly. In case the Vesvaite and Union Prime Ministers agree to such talks, it would be first direct dialogue between these countries in newest history.

Minister of International Relations of the Nationalist Republic of Sunrisia Cálêr Ustrīnâ, Minister of Finance and Economic Development of the Nationalist Republic of Sunrisia Válîd Sâlúbĕr and Minister of Industry, Trade and Commerce of the Nationalist Republic of Sunrisia Addél Dîlectên have announced that the Nationalist Republic of Sunrisia would be ready to embargo the Union of Oblaren and Herbora completely, whereas currently the existing sanctions are slightly lighter. The decision was made at the National Defense Council meeting, where it was also decided that the Sunrisian Defense Force (SDF) would begin full mobilization in preparation for war in defense of Vesvai. This time, the Érátân administration has informed the Convet of the Nationalist Republic of Sunrisia of all decisions and asked for legislative support before taking action. The lawmakers had put past criticisms behind and allowed it. The Érátân administration gave the Union of Oblaren and Herbora 24 hours to cease-fire and agree to talks with the Union of Oblaren and Herbora, otherwise the embargo would be imposed and an increasing military involvement before MDAA finally intervenes.

DEVELOPING: Prime Minister of the Union of Oblaren and Herbora Jonathan Mollisal Lands In New Kengara, West Zilveren Berg For Peace Talks With Vesvai's Prime Minister

Prime Minister of the Union of Oblaren and Herbora Jonathan Mollisal has had his plane land in an airport in New Kengara, West Zilveren Berg. In not so many frequent foreign visits the current departure to West Zilveren Berg is for peace talks between Fortwel and Perloveu on ending the military crisis that developed on the border between the Union and Vesvai. With additional parties threatening to get involved or already getting involved there is a realization that these talks will be hard but necessary to avert a big war that could happen from just these small border clashes now.

DEVELOPING: New Kengara Meeting: Cease-Fire Agreement Signed

Prime Minister of the Union of Oblaren and Herbora Jonathan Mollisal has signed a cease-fire agreement with Vesvai's Prime Minister Fila Nemo. Both nations will have to ratify the agreement but its effects are to take place immediately. The treaty bind the Union and Vesvai to immediately halt all fighting and pull away troops from the mutual border. On the Union's side Prime Minister Jonathan Mollisal will have to immediately contact Minister of Defense of the Union of Oblaren and Herbora Varsi Polvandet and get him to order the general staff to halt combat action and pull away troops and weapons away from the border. Vesvai's Prime Minister Fila Nemo obliged to do so on her part. But for PM Mollisal the concern raised is that there is another party engaged in combat on the border and that is Sunrisia who is not partaking in this meeting. But Vesvai's PM Fila Nemo promised that she will additionally immediately get into contact with the Sunrisian President to get his country to abide by the new agreements. This did not calm PM Mollisal down.

Vesvai and the Union of Oblaren and Herbora have signed a cease-fire agreement through their Prime Ministers with the agreement going into effect immediately. Both countries will ratify it, but the heads of government on both sides have committed to send out orders to their defense ministries and subsequently militaries to stop all fighting and pull away troops from the common border. The Union's side expressed concern that Sunrisia has been a party to the border conflict on the side of Vesvai and responding to this concern Prime Minister Fila Nemo of Vesvai promised to immediately call the Sunrisian President to get his country to commit to this cease-fire as well. Other than that, Chief Secretary Gerrit Visser voiced hope for a lasting peace.

Sunrisia Promises To Abide By The Cease-Fire Agreement Reached In New Kengara, West Zilveren Berg

Minister of Security of the Nationalist Republic of Sunrisia Fógâr Nélsân has confirmed that the Nationalist Republic of Sunrisia will abide by the cease-fire agreement that was reached between the Reunified State of Vesvai and the Union of Oblaren and Herbora in New Kengara, West Zilveren Berg. The Minister of Security said that the Rapid Reaction Units (RRU) will halt all fighting and pull away from the border along with the military of Vesvai. Additionally, the Sunrisian Defense Force (SDF) will no longer be mobilizing to get more involved since there apparently and hopefully will be no new escalation. However, the Minister said that the Rapid Reaction Units (RRU) will remain in Vesvai with the consent of the government of Vesvai for the time being, in order to make sure that there is a lasting cease-fire. Upon seeing that the situation has truly stabilized, RRU forces will leave. Meanwhile, Emissary for Adversary Exchanges (EAE) of the Nationalist Republic of Sunrisia Rétrî Síntâ said that Sunrisia will not move forward with the declared embargo against the Union of Oblaren and Herbora if it abides by the cease-fire, however, the Emissary added that none of the existing sanctions would be lifted either.

Union Wants Sunrisia To Join The Cease-Fire Agreement Officially

Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Union of Oblaren and Herbora Nicholas Vicina said it was not enough for Sunrisian officials to promise to abide by the cease-fire agreement reached in West Zilveren Berg verbally. The Foreign Minister said that since Sunrisia was a party to the conflict a Sunrisian signature absolutely must be put on the cease-fire agreement document where Sunrisia commits to everything that the Union and Vesvai committed to. The Foreign Minister added that ideally all of MDAA could put their signatures on the document but those nations didn't "make it to the fight" before it was stopped by the cease-fire agreement. Prime Minister of the Union of Oblaren and Herbora Jonathan Mollisal who earlier called out the issue of absence of Sunrisian signature on the cease-fire agreement said he would call West Zilveren Berg's Chief Secretary Gerrit Visser and request that he convince the Sunrisian side into signing the cease-fire agreement.

MDAA Begins First Joint Exercise In Daredland

Image

Image

The armed forces of Creperia, Edereon, Daredland, Vesvai and Sunrisia are conducting a large joint military exercise in Daredland, the first of its' kind. In the past, Daredland conducted joint military exercises and war games only with Sunrisia and on occasion with some other member states of MDAA being involved as well, but not with the entire MDAA bloc involved. Back then, Daredland was not a member state of MDAA, however, the country has since joined MDAA, with the only sovereign parts of Daredland excluded from MDAA being the occupied territories controlled by the self-proclaimed Weniges Reich. Under traditional scenarios, the joint exercise simulates the defense of Daredland from a foreign attack or invasion, however, it also includes counter-insurgency operations against domestic paramilitary formations and terrorist activity. The drill involves the armies, the air forces and the navies of all partaking MDAA member states, with them training to defend a fellow member state and ally on land, aerial and maritime fronts.

Chief Secretary Gerrit Visser Calls President Sálût Érátân Of Sunrisia To Ask Sunrisia To Join The Cease-Fire Agreement Between The Reunified State Of Vesvai And The Union Of Oblaren And Herbora

West Zilveren Berg has invited the Sunrisians to join the cease-fire agreement between the Reunified State of Vesvai and the Union of Oblaren and Herbora by officially signing it. Chief Secretary Gerrit Visser has called President Sálût Érátân of Sunrisia at the request of the government of the Union of Oblaren and Herbora to ask Sunrisia to join the agreement with an official signature. The government of West Zilveren Berg has agreed with the stance that was voiced by the government of the Union of Oblaren and Herbora, without explicitly stating that West Zilveren Berg sided with the Union, that the cease-fire agreement can only be guaranteed to last and abided by if all parties that were directly involved in combat on the border between the Reunified State of Vesvai and the Union of Oblaren and Herbora will sign the agreement and ratify it.

Union Of Oblaren And Herbora Says It Wants New Talks With Sunrisia

Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Union of Oblaren and Herbora Nicholas Vicina said that the cease-fire agreement that was recently reached will not be enough even if Sunrisia agrees to join it and signs it. The Foreign Minister claimed that there needs to be a return to dialogue on security assurances to restore power balance, reach compromises and concessions, and to exchange promises of mutual non-aggression so that national interests on all sides would be observed. Foreign Minister Nicholas Vicina noted that only these talks and the potential progress towards signing some type of new agreements can be the only guarantee to avoid new conflicts on the Island of Vesvai and in the wider region. He also suggested that it was time for Sunrisia to lift its sanctions against the Union because the imposed sanctions have no purpose and the Union doesn't deserve them for anything.

Vesvai Hints At Requesting A Sunrisian Or MDAA Peakceeping Observer Mission On The Border With The Union Of Oblaren And Herbora In Case Of Future Escalations

Vesvai's Prime Minister Fila Nemo has taken a harsher tone in regards to the Union of Oblaren and Herbora even after having recently met with Prime Minister of the Union of Oblaren and Herbora Jonathan Mollisal face-to-face in West Zilveren Berg and having signed a cease-fire agreement that appears to be holding up. The Prime Minister said that in case a threat arises in the future that there could be new armed engagements then the Reunified State of Vesvai could consider requesting a peacekeeping observer mission of Sunrisian or even multinational MDAA troops from Vesvai's side of the border to permanently monitor the situation and act as a deterrent for any future attacks. Vesvai's government insists that the skirmishes were provoked by the Union side and they were started with a goal of the Union trying to force Corentian bloc countries into new negotiations on the so-called "security assurances." PM Fila Nemo said that is the current strategy of the current government and expressed confidence that the next government that will be formed following the snap general election will be the same if not harsher. However the Prime Minister still did not address or talk about the opposition's proposal to build a wall on the border with the Union of Oblaren and Herbora that would be similar to the heavily militarized border wall that existed between New Vesvai on one side and the Dominion of Vesvai, the Union of Oblaren and Vesvai and the Sovereign State of Vesvai on the other side prior to Vesvaite reunification.

Emissary For Adversary Exchanges (EAE) Of Sunrisia Rétrî Síntâ Says There Will Be No New Talks With The Union Of Oblaren And Herbora

Image
Image
Image

Emissary for Adversary Exchanges (EAE) of the Nationalist Republic of Sunrisia Rétrî Síntâ has said that the Nationalist Republic of Sunrisia currently sees no purpose in new talks with the Union of Oblaren and Herbora as the latter country's Ministry of Foreign Affairs had recently suggested. The Emissary said that Sunrisia will be a party to the cease-fire agreement and will not be preparing for war now that peace has been restored, however, as declared before, the Rapid Reaction Units (RRU) will remain in Vesvai, but away from the border with Oblaren and Herbora, until there is a guarantee that the cease-fire is holding. After, Sunrisia will complete the withdrawal of RRU forces from Vesvai. In all other cases, Sunrisian commitment to the defense of Vesvai remains under MDAA. Other than that, Emissary Rétrî Síntâ said there is no other reason to negotiate at this time, as Sunrisia will not consider any concessions related to "demilitarization, neutrality and exclusion of Vesvai from MDAA" or promising not to ever deploy any troops or conduct drills on the territory of Vesvai, which are concessions that the Union was seeking in the past and has partially continued standing by them and trying to push for them. As for the sanctions, the Emissary said that the Union has not taken any steps towards changes that could warrant a relief or lifting of sanctions, such as new democratic elections, for example, which have yet to take place since the days the Union of Oblaren and Vesvai was formed and was later succeeded by the Union of Oblaren and Herbora after Vesvai declared independence.

Calls to outlaw the Third Way party begin to sound in Edereon

Some parties and individual MPs in the governing coalition and even among some opposition parties have started calling for the outlawing of the Third Way party led by former Prime Minister Ármand Tungstenãn. The proponents of this idea say that Third Way party is a treasonous party and a party that violated the constitution, while also taking Edereon down a dark path which the country might not have escaped from if it weren't for the May Revolution. Those speaking out against the Third Way party say that it formed an authoritarian regime in Edereon for the first time since post-coup nationalist dictatorship was overthrown by MDAA in the early days of the organization's existence and also changed trajectory of Edereon's foreign policy by distancing the country from traditional allies and seeking friendship with the world's dictatorships. Under the Third Way-led government, Edereon also harbored dictators ousted in their own homeland and allegedly even harbored and sponsored terrorists. The Third Way government also used force against protesters during the May Revolution and was ready to start a civil war before giving up power. Therefore, in order to prevent a risk of Third Way having a role or influence in Ederi politics and prevent Third Way from possibly returning to power even through democratic processes in the future, a proposal was made to outlaw the party. Third Way party led by former Prime Minister Ármand Tungstenãn along with fellow party members have not yet responded to this initiative endangering them politically.

West Zilveren Berg Hosts Sunrisian Emissary For Adversary Exchanges (EAE) Rétrî Síntâ, Who Has Arrived To Sign A Cease-Fire Agreement Between The Parties Of The Conflict On The Island Of Vesvai

Image

West Zilveren Berg has welcomed Emissary for Adversary Exchanges (EAE) of the Nationalist Republic of Sunrisia Rétrî Síntâ. The Sunrisian diplomat has arrived to sign the cease-fire agreement that was originally signed in New Kengara by the Reunified State of Vesvai and the Union of Oblaren and Herbora, following the recent border skirmishes that were ended by the cease-fire agreement. Although the primary moment really was for the two actual main parties of the conflict to be the ones to reach and sign this agreement, it was decided that Sunrisia likewise needed to join the agreement, because the country joined Vesvai in this fight, since Vesvai is a member of MDAA and Sunrisia intervened on its' ally's behalf as the largest military in the bloc. Primarily, the Union of Oblaren and Herbora demanded that Sunrisia join the agreement, in order to make the country obligated to abide by it not only verbally, but also with a signature. Earlier, Chief Secretary Gerrit Visser called Sunrisian President Sálût Érátân to convince his country to join the cease-fire agreement.

Emissary For Adversary Exchanges (EAE) Rétrî Síntâ Signs Vesvaite-Union Cease-Fire Agreement In West Zilveren Berg

Image

Emissary for Adversary Exchanges (EAE) of the Nationalist Republic of Sunrisia Rétrî Síntâ has signed the cease-fire agreement that was originally signed by Vesvai and the Union of Oblaren and Herbora in New Kengara, West Zilveren Berg. The signing now makes Sunrisia a party to the cease-fire agreement that was originally only bilateral between Vesvai and the Union. Sunrisia has signed the agreement at the request of the government of West Zilveren Berg as Sunrisia took part in combat on the border between Vesvai and the Union on the side of Vesvai as an MDAA ally of Sunrisia. Because of having participated in the combat, it was deemed logical that Sunrisia should join the cease-fire agreement, even the Sunrisian government verbally promised to abide by its' terms, although the government of Oblaren and Herbora did not take the Sunrisian government's word for it.

Vesvai's Prime Minister Fila Nemo Visits The Border With The Union Of Oblaren And Herbora

Vesvai's Prime Minister Fila Nemo is visiting the border with the Union of Oblaren and Herbora for the first time since the border skirmishes between the two neighboring nations and since the cease-fire agreement was reached which the Prime Minister herself has signed with the Union's Prime Minister in West Zilveren Berg. PM Fila Nemo is visiting the troops that are currently stationed at the common border and together with their commanders is evaluating the situation and the state of security at this boundary. The situation and the Prime Minister's conclusions will affect Vesvai's border security policy. A conclusion will have to be made whether the border will consistently have to be militarized or whether it could actually become a normal border only watched over by border guards. This could impact the border policy of the current government and the next government that will be formed as a result of the recent snap general election.

Capital Jugac holds second LGBT March

Image

JUGAC, BAGGNAGIA – LGBT in capital Jugac and their supporters are holding a second Pride March in the nation's capital. The second march is taking place not long after the first one and also follows a historic ruling by the Supreme Court. The ruling stated that the Baggnagian constitution doesn't have a clearly defined family institute which is one of the reasons why it doesn't block the nation from advancing its LGBT rights. Encouraged by this LGBT members and their supporters in Jugac are marching with a demand that the Baggnagian government recognizes same-sex unions and moves onto legalizing same-sex marriage. High-profile members of the LGBT community whether in Jugac or Baggnagia overall are saying that more marches and activism will take place until the goals are reached. They have also called on other Baggnagian cities to allow for similar marches to take place.
