Work work.

I've been teaching literally every single generation of humanity since the dawn of time and I can't afford a house in Beverly hills. But maybe I will be able to by 540,000 AD. Ofcourse capitalism is a crock.

All of the workers Bezos employs deserve all of his money, and the same goes for Gates, Musk, Buffet, etc. All of their money should be redistributed to everyone who's ever worked for them proportionally according to the work and the length of time they spent with their companies.

Third option says

"Capitalism is not a just system and does not fairly distribute resources, but I don't care about that."

Fifth option says

"Capitalism is not a just system and does not fairly distribute resources, but I don't care about that."

Weird, I must have autocorrected it in my head when I read them. Or maybe I just wasn't paying much attention to those options.

I mean, if you judge every form of society by Russia's attempt at it, that doesn't leave many good options.

Okay let's judge it by all the other ones. Communism is good at justifying mass murder and essentially nothing else.

Capitalism is a crackpot system and its point is just furthering class warfare.

Its furthering everything because it's the best game going. Also communism advocates for literal warfare amongst the classes with the assumption that all classes but one will be destroyed.

It probably does, but I wouldn't base my judgement on weak-ass implementations in countries that were already poor, corrupt, authoritarian and brutal.

If Sweden tries it and it still sucks, then the writing's on the wall.

So, basically, it still sucks, because the only way this is happening is if Russia returns to Soviet era communism, and I'm sure that'll go well again.

That's because people keep trying to do Leninist Communism, with all the "dictatorship of the proletariat" revolutionary bullshit. That was Russia's typically useless contribution to communist theory.

Whataboutism is not a valid argument, and while your claim about communism is demonstratably wrong it's also irrelevant.

Not only that, but they don't deserve to own the tools and factories that people work in. Working people are the ones putting in the labor, so they deserve a say.

no, Elon Musk doesn’t deserve 200,000 times the total earned money of the average American. even if you buy into the narrative that he’s some sort of genius who works constantly, he couldn’t possibly be doing work worth 1,600,000 times more valuable than a factory worker (Elon Musk made $93,000,000,000 in 2021, and the median yearly total pay of a Tesla worker is about $60,000). He couldn’t possibly spend it all. He could eat this gold leaf and truffles pizza for breakfast, lunch and dinner for fifty years and he would have expended 0.05% of his current net worth. no human is worth that much.

when Musk has this money, it’s not going anywhere. it’s not circulating. he literally cannot use all of it even if he wanted to. if even 1% of his money were in the hands of workers and the poor, think of the economic boost.

now as to whether taxes and redistribution “disincentivize innovation”. perhaps they could, if you set them too aggressively. but I don’t think anyone is going to just give up on innovation because making more than a billion dollars gets them taxed a lot more. most people will never make that much money, and those who do don’t actually need it. the only kind of person who would be extremely upset about this is people who use their money to flex.

No it doesn't lol.

Capitalism practically invented mass murder. You think Western countries are as wealthy as they are because they're just more "hard-working" or some shit lmfao? We have over three hundred years of capitalist powers butchering whole populations to steal their land and resources - a process still going on to this day. It is intellectually dishonest for Capitalism stans to clutch pearls and shriek about "muh mass murder!!!" when the only reason the West is so prosperous today was through the mass-murder of natives by capitalist empires. You can't even argue that it's not still being done today because what's happening in the Amazon right now is plenty proof that it very much is still happening today.
