[The Free Russian Tzarists]

The Confederation of East Brazililand is set up as border guard with Zarnicovia Nova standing still but ready and Zarnicovs due the same in fear of the Russian bear. The Tribus is established as the Presidents of the three factions; the atheists, the Zarnicovs, and the Catholics meet to decide foreign policy, economic policy, and military policy. The Tribus stands next to the Russian governor who will manage it and make sure peace is held. The Brazililandian Armed Forces are formed as ships, guns, and planes as well s materials and wealth are sent to Brazililandians.

In the first Tribus meeting, it is decided by 2-1 majority with the consent of the Governor that the Armed Forces guard the border. It is also decided that the Russian military will be a permanent fixture in the state via a 2-1 minority with the Governors consent, though the two other political factions don't raise too much of a fuss.

It is decided in a separate meeting that an election will be called across the country to pick the official presidents to rule over the country. These elections will cover all levels of government.

Senator Hawthorne serves as the leader of the Grand Coalition. Senator Hawthorne serves with the support of his party and the Grand Coalition, and he currently holds a national approval rating of 78% (up from 73% during his tenure as the leader of the Minority Coalition). Senator Hawthorne's stated goals are to "increase union membership, radically lower healthcare costs, and reduce wasteful spending." He is also seeking to reform certain climate laws and practices; introducing new climate treaties is high on his priorities list.
Senator Hawthorne is a relatively new face of the political world and has quickly risen to power. Despite having superb legislative experience, Hawthorne proved to be a poor executive after being elected the mayor of Albuquerque. He returned to his post as a city councilman and then ran for state senate shortly thereafter, becoming the Senate Majority leader within two years. Hawthorne eradicated poverty and revitalized the economies of several small towns through new economic programs, resulting in rapid population growth and continued economic prosperity for the entire state.
Shortly thereafter, Senator Hawthorne was drafted by the state Labor-Liberals to run for Senate. He reluctantly agreed and was elected in a landslide, though his opponent (an incumbent Loyal Fedrilican) tried to paint Hawthorne as out of touch with reality and inexperienced. Hawthorne proceeded to quickly rise through the ranks of the Senate due to his knack for legislative wording and amazing ability to draft budgets, craft statements, and make sure that the people in his party get elected easily. Senator Hawthorne rose to the rank of Minority Coalition Leader despite his objections, only to be elevated to the position of Majority Leader in the next session. He has largely delegated many parts of his role to his aides and some trusted allies, retaining his post regarding legislation, electioneering, and political matters.

Senator Hinterland serves as the leader of the Minority Coalition, having previously served as the leader of the Conservative Majority in the past several Senate sessions. Despite heavy losses in the past several election cycles, Hinterland has enjoyed high approval ratings for a Conservative (58%) and is generally seen as a sensible, moderate man by the masses. However, fears that members of his coalition are too radical have damaged his reputation in some voting precincts, resulting in his failed presidential bids in years past and several failed attempts to rise higher utilizing influence. Nonetheless, most politicians praise his ability to compromise and work with people he disagrees with to put country over party. His career began when he ran for governor of Louisiana as a Traditionalist, only to become an independent and later a Conservative. He is in his fourth term as a Senator, having served one full term before moving to Pluto.
Senator Hinterland was born in New Orleans, Louisiana; when Meretica first began to explore the regions of Outerspace, he left politics to take up refuge on the Dwarf Planet of Pluto. There, he helped establish a local government and planetary constitution. He served briefly as the Acting Governor of Pluto before being appointed to serve as Pluto's Senator for its at-large district. He agreed and has been elected to three full terms since then. His influence on Pluto's early political life is very apparent, with parts of the Dwarf Planet being referred to as "Hinterland's Backyard." Senator Hinterland has announced that he will retire when he believes that it is his time to go. He has previously released a shortlist of potential party leadership replacements, updated monthly, that includes largely moderate-to-liberal senators, many of whom are lesser-known. One of his stated fears is that the party would venture into right-wing populism, neo-liberalism, or neo-conservatism either during or after his lifetime. "We need to be the sensible party of the common man, you know? We need to keep in touch with the way things should be and keep our visions of the future aligned. Otherwise, we might lose ourselves in the process."
Senator Hinterland currently resides on Pluto and opts to work with his colleagues remotely due to the long period that it takes to travel through the cosmos. He attends most of his meetings through holograms, though sometimes he could be disconnected due to signal issues. Nonetheless, he remains the leader of the Conservatives and works well with the other members of the Senate.

Heavy constitutional reforms in Parliament, all power to the Prime Minister, a new dictatorship on the way?

The Visegradian Constitution was officially changed, Prime Minister Celik together with a team of legislators and constitutionalists, practically rewrote entire parts of the constitution, completely changing the constitution, the reforms were approved by a Parliament almost completely loyal to Celik, who, without consulting the people through a referendum, he issued numerous reforms, transforming Visegrad from a Federal Constitutional Monarchy headed by the Federal Parliament to a "hybrid" regime between a Republic and a monarchy, where the Prime Minister responds only to himself and not to parliament or the emperor.

Listed below are all the additions and constitutional changes made by Arzu Celik and his collaborators:

-The official name of the state becomes Union of the Visegrad Empire.

Technically these reforms were put in place to avoid political unrest and coups that characterized the previous Visegradian politics, however for many these reforms are more of a way for Prime Minister Celik to turn Visegrad into a "Janpia 2.0" like the conservatives call it, that is, in a communist dictatorship led only by the SP, and, again according to Celik's detractors, the next step will be taken after the death of the Emperor, that is, the creation of a single-party socialist republic, and the removal of every democratic bulwark of the young Visegradian democracy.

The Conservatives, however, have not done much other than to complain in words of the reforms, while those who took to the streets are the very progressive left-wing moderate, who do not approve the authoritarianism recently shown by the Socialist Party and for this they have organized protests all over the country, protests the slogan here was "Celik at home! We want democracy!", the protests were waved by the flags of the various Visegradian moderate left parties that had followed one another over time, from the Democratic Party of the Czechoslovakia era to the League of Freedoms.

Protestants also cite the fact that Celik relied on a vote in parliament to get her changes approved, rather than consulting the people directly, as was a must for such an important decision, according to them.

Turkish terrorists executed in Trapizon

Fighting between armed forces and Anadolu insurgents has centered around the cities of Trapizon and Tsolakert

For weeks, the violent terrorist organization "Anadolu" (lit. "Anatolia" in Turkish) - an irredentist and shameless group full of liars and thieves - have proven themselves time and time again to be one of, if not the most, dangerous threat to Armenian sovereignty; maybe second to the Azerbaijani government. Their attacks, mostly involving car-bombings and mass-shootings, have mainly been centered around major industrial and economic areas; especially the cities of Trapizon, Tsolakert, and even, to an extent: Van. These vicious acts have resulted in hundreds-if not thousands dead in their wake, and thousands more injured.

The National Security Service, after receiving tips from an anonymous informant, breached a storage unit in Trapizon (which, at the time, was being used as a makeshift "safehouse"), and were able to seize the extremists and confiscate their "equipment" (most of which included Semtex, dynamite, and handmade explosives). Amongst those captured was Abdulaziz Fisek, the Alt Kaptan of their Eastern Anatolian Sect, and his nephew Abdulhamid, a lieutenant. Also arrested were Iren Ayranci and Cevik Yuksel; both wanted for previously smuggling drugs into Yerevan.

Their charges were as followed:

Abdulaziz Fisek: three counts of domestic terrorism (once in Trapizon, once in Chapaghjur, and once in T’unjeli), six counts of aiding terrorists, six counts of treason, six counts of espionage, 1500 counts of first-degree murder, and 530 counts of attempted murder

This event has also marked an uptick in counterterrorism measures, leading many to believe that it's only a matter before Anadolu's leader: the (coincidentally nicknamed) "Sultan", Sultan Birdal, is found.

Admiral Chiranjivi Rao sometimes marveled at God's Providence.

The Sinican Empire was aggressively expanding, and the United Remnant Avtarkiya had stood up for freedom and slain the golden dragon.

The URA had shattered the Empire, breaking it up into smaller nations, all of them under the protection and supervision of the URA. Many democratic and socialist regimes were brought into power who did not like the Sinican noble class. Many of them were killed in uprisings and revolutions. The dynasty and noble line was dismantled all across the former empire, except for the now-liberated state of Namavaria, Admiral Rao's home of birth.

Namavaria, being the mountainous former state of the Empire and bordering the URA for centuries, they had adopted an extremely pacifist form of the Roskian Orthodoxy faith that dominated the URA. His father had served for the Namavarian Army. The Namavarians, being peaceful as they were, had taken the ideal to an extreme. Their military was weak, and not prepared for combat. His father had died when he was young, after the Zhanguanese attempted to "rebuild the Empire," they had invaded the other rump states of the Sinican Empire. Namavaria lost more soldiers in the religious and nobility purges than it did in the initial war. News outlets around the region said "Namavaria lost before a shot was fired" and it was true. Once again, the URA, acting as overseer of the GRCS, came to intervene, to beat the Zhanguanese into submission and save Namavar and their people. That was when the schism in the faith of the nation happened, on conjunction with the URA tightening its grip of its collection of client states through the Greater Remnant Cooperation Sphere.

Admiral Rao had served proudly, first in the GRCS Navy as a nuclear engineer for the Twighlight, and then as an officer in the Namavarian Auxilia as the Namavarian military was phased out in favor of the GRCS and Remnant control. He worked his way up this ship's ranks until he was finally a flag officer as the Auxilias were phased out and merged directly with the Remnant military, ending the racial segregation that had lasted for decades. Rao had crew of Roskians from all across the URA, Pragmata, and Modeno, and Alenterra. There were Sinicans from Namavar, Zhangua, Alenterra, Nongea, and Canaam. There were Pravilo, Deviants, Cultists, and Atheists all living side by side. All of these disparate nations coming together for a single purpose. The GRCS had inherited the mantle of the URA as the responsibility to bring the sword to the imperialists, evangelists, and crusaders, and exploiters of the world. To defend the weak and the oppressed, the destroy the vile fascist and colonialist.

Rao stood among the combat-information-center of the post Rus-refit Olympian-class nuclear aircraft carrier URS Twilight of the Remnant Navy's 6th Fleet. A ship that flew his ensign. A Namavarian Admiral commanding a Remnant numbered fleet would have been unimaginable during his grandfather's time. This by His holy design. These events had led Admiral Rao to this exact moment. The 6th Fleet had been on routine patrol across the North Atlantic, en route to joint operations with allies across the oceans, when the news of the unholy actions of GENA came in and their aggressive movements and the calls of the IFC for aid. The 6th Fleet was immediately reassigned to move with all due haste in it's entirety towards Europe. As a show of force. The shorter-range craft kept along by either refueling with the bunker ships traveling among the over 80+-strong fleet, or by being placed in a towing pattern behind the rest of the fleet. This was not a fast fleet. This was a numbered fleet dragging it's entire support cadre with it. It was a show of power, a show of wealth. Yea, showeth unto them with which what force we may bring and let them be amazed.

The most recent satellite reports had shown something very interesting. Between SatOps, the Satellite Operations and Communications Corps of the Remnant Military, and several departments tasked in the National Intelligence Agency to monitor these kinds of events, was it any surprise when an opportunity presented itself.

A cluster of ships dedicated to the Romanic Imperium, one of those disgusting opponents of a free and democratic world, a heretic of the human way, an enemy of the Remnant Mantle, had entered the English Channel. Following the message was a codeburst that showed a link to a 2gethr chatroom. 2gethr was the dominant social media company in the GRCS's sphere of influence. And while it's encryption was top notch, and strong data protection and record-keeping laws were held by the government, who monitored the internet closely. But this close working relationship with government regulators allowed to an understanding between the Remnant government and 2gethr to "forget" certain conversations ever happened on its platforms, to make them disappear. Logs and records would be destroyed or edited, and no proof would exist. The 2gethr chatroom currently only had one account on it, simply named "6Flt."

The Admiral of the 6th Fleet stood with pride. God was on his side, the heathens of fascism would have their day of reckoning soon, and it would come at the glorious blessed hands of the Remnant cause. The IFC's purpose was pure and the GRCS would protect the concepts of freedom and liberty secure. He was a willing pawn of the Remnant Mantle, the GRCS's destiny of global peace through liberty.

New Light Tank for the Revolutionary Army

As part of the JURA proposal, a new light tank weighing 48 tons has been unveiled for the Revolutionary Army. The JLZ-48, dubbed "The Janpian Type 10", is the answer to JURA's demands for a light armored reconnaissance vehicle and a mobile armored defense tank that is suitable for the Janpian terrain. The tank is built and designed by the Worker's Union of Zelenny Industrial. It uses a Rh-120 L/55 120mm cannon, making it compatible with the western military logistical network. The JLZ-48 is also the first Janpian tank to use a bustle auto loader, moving away from the traditional carousel loader which the Revolutionary Army uses. The new loader system means the crew battle stations are much safer thanks to the covered ammo rack, and upward venting system. A hit on the ammo rack won't completely kill the crew, allowing them to evacuate or drive away to a safer position.

Unlike the JP-1 tanks, the JLZ-48 has a built-in APS system, modular composite "Yagerov T-3" ceramic armor, miniaturized Dorchester armor, a completely new chassis, ECM protection, Engine Smoke generating System (ESS), and a switchable digitalized crew battle station. The JLZ-48 uses a single type of APS (rather than two on JP-1 Tanks), a small yet powerful gun caliber (120mm rather than 130mm), and modular composite Yagerov T-3 armor to reduce weight and material costs. All of these make maintenance easier and make the tank lighter. Furthermore, the weight enables the tank to pass most regional bridges in Janpia with ease. The JLZ-48 also features a special coating that lowers the tank's IR signatures, along with having a hunter-killer capability. The tank uses the Rakata BMS, maintaining the same FCS features such as the database collating systems, allowing it to aim automatically at the enemy weak points; context-based aim assist; tracking multiple detected targets; determining the threat level; and giving recommendations to the crew. It also features an Iron-Fist APS which provides an all-around protection, and a ballistic computer, which enables the gunner to calculate trajectory, taking note of wind speed and environmental conditions. 

The JLZ-48 also features switchable digitalized combat roles, allowing the gunner, commander, and driver to switch roles, making task and crew replacement easier. With the tank's digitalized battle station, this allows the crew to interact with the revolutionaries outside the tank, have a split feed view on drone reports, and enabling a streamlined military coordination and awareness. The tank runs on 70kph, topped with a C4I system (command, control, communication, computer & intelligence) on the tank's BMS.

The lieutenant signed off on the consensual use of the stim kits. Every man in his command had of course already done so. As they'd signed the release forms indicating that the suit they wore cost more than they did and their sacrifice to the Remnant people would be noted. The Vanguard of the Remnant Military were among the triumvirate of the GRCS's special operations community. Smaller in number than the elite battle units of the Sentinels, and larger in number than those creepy fucks in the Marshals, the Vanguard did what was needed when the holy crusade was called. Cities would burn, bloodlines would be erased, and cultures would be extinguished when the Vanguard were called.

Only so many days ago, the President has called a general readiness in the military forces. That had meant that every reasonable active force began paying much closer to their readiness as a unit. Including special forces, such as the 1st Vanguard Battalion. First Lieutenant Ghurosky, callsign "Uno" and commanding officer of the 1st Vanguard's 1st company. The command was technically an honor, as was the command of his best friend, the recently promoted Second Lieutenant Tyson "Dux" Kane. The two had joined the Vanguard originally as favors to a unit known as Task Force Atlas. Now those were the days when freedom was fought for. Before the dark times. Before it was banned and international support for the unit dried up. Ghurosky and Kane had been quietly transferred back to the GRCS and given company commands, Kane had gotten a promotion to officer. And then Canis had gotten Drake thrown out of office, Canis took over, and the Vanguard changed, executive order by executive order.

When the Immortals Project was revealed, those superhuman war mutants, the Vanguard had realized their power armor doctrine had been made to prototype for them. That had rapidly begun command's greenlighting of adrenal supplements derived from the Immortals Project as well for Vanguard soldiers. The adrenal supplements created a drug-fueled, power-armored, killing automaton on the battlefield. Ghurosky didn't like fighting in that state. And he didn't like how their unit doctrine had become so laissez-faire in recent years. The Doctrine of Justification made for some surprising liberties on the battlefield, against those who commit certain war crimes.

A large percentage of the GRCS population was of the Pravilo faith, an Orthodox Christian branch that closely aligned itself with the Catholic faith. A faith that frowned upon genocide, upon cleansings, upon removals.

First Lieutenant Ghurosky, Second Lieutenant Kane, and the other company and platoon leaders at the Battalion-level briefing of the 1st Vanguard, stood by in the dark room as the stream of President Canis's new update from the Capitol played before them.

"The situation is clear to us, to my brave Vanguard, my bulwark against fascism, and to the wider miltary. The actions of Zarnicovia Nova against our Catholic god-loving brethren," the sentence was met with grunts of disgust in the officers present. "The expansion of the 'Grand Unity' in Africa,'" 3rd Company CO grunted "Fuck 'em, fuck 'em all." "The expansion of GENA in spite of God's given right to personal freedom? Never. These are crimes against God. They are works against His Glorious Works. They are enemies of God, of the GRCS, and of free and able humans everywhere. There I will be declaring a general mobilization of all active GRCS Military units as of now, and immediate rapid readiness of our advanced operations forces. A regime that would commit such crimes against a people have lost the Mandate of Divinity to rule. We therefore are given an international crisis, an imperative need to disable and dismantle any regime, and any support of such a regime, that would participate in this anti-human activity. A challenge against the international community's collective humanity has been made, and the Remnant people will answer that challenge. To all nations and alliances supporting genocide, consider yourself duly and properly warned by this nation: Any further conduct regarding ongoing religious genocide is a human war crime and will be immediately adjudicated against via international military retribution."

The collective Vanguard troops let out a cheer as President Canis finished his speech by leading into the camera ever so slightly and reciting a Vanguard unit phrase in native Roskian: [i]"Submit or Die, Heathen." As the speech ended, the Vanguard troops broke out into a recitation of "As We Were Marching Through Roma" but Ghurosky remained quiet and shared a knowing concerned glance across the briefing room with Kane.

ZN MIA limits attacks on civilians

Following international pressure the ZN MIA ordered by acting-president has decreased it's policies against Catholic minorities. Though officially being 'respectful cooperation and war crime trials of Catholic war criminals and the further prevention of Catholic terrorism'. The reality is that they have changed to arrested all members of real Catholic insurgent groups who have done attacks against AZNUP troops. These efforts have been wrapped up in the final counter-offensive against the UASN a internationally declared terrorist group who has done multiple attacks. Following the recent news of a potential establishment of a minimum wage within the nation, and following the official passing of the Wages Guidance Act which confirmed this potential establishment, major slave owner Erma Barrows, filed a lawsuit against the Makko Okoan Government for 'Unconstitutional Acts Of Legislation'. The case is being heard today by the Emperor's Court Of Makko Oko in Shileans, Makko Oko, by a single judge, Chief Justice Karen Hall. The case has been made public and all eyes are on it to see what could happen to minimum wage. In addition, the case is being broadcasted on national TV.

THE CASE - PART I [OPENING STATEMENTS]

Erma Barrows and her lawyer, Brandon Gates, well known for being versed in constitutional law and fighting many battles with the old Makko Okoan government, walk into the courtroom and sit on the left side, with Erma smiling deviously, as if she already knew the outcome of this case. Brandon, with whom Erma is paying a large sum of money to pursue this case for her, looks over at Erma and says "Try not to look so happy, judges tend to hate that nowadays. You're already a target anyhow, best to not make it worse." and Erma responds, still smiling, saying "I'm sorry Barrows, I just find it hard not to, I know we're gonna win, especially with you at the helm."

Brandon then refutes her statement, saying "While you have a pretty good case here, there's still no guarantees" and Erma immediately glares at Brandon and says "I'll appeal it to the highest courts if that's what it takes" and Brandon was going to say something in response, but knew that getting her to listen was futile, being a rich "queen" with well over 50 slaves in her mansion home and farm.

The right side, the defense, being a team working for the state's Emperor's Prosecution Service, walk in right before Chief Justice Karen Hall walks in, being escorted by 2 bailiffs, the security for the judges. Assigned to the case, was one of the best within the Emperor's Prosecution Service, going by the name of John Verrill, who is known for not having lost a single case within their tenure at the agency. Everybody in the room stands up before the judge, and Judge Hall bangs their gavel and says "Order! Court is now in session, you may all be seated".

"We're here today, on the case of Erma Barrows V. Makko Oko. Has the plaintiff prepared an opening statement?" Judge Hall asks. Brandon stands up and says "Yes your honor, we have a statement right here" and Brandon starts walking towards the middle of the courtroom to turn around and start speaking, "We're here today, to seek a permanent injunction against the state's unconstitutional law recently passed known as the Wages Guidance Act. We're also seeking damages of upwards 100,000 Slotto's for legal fees and punitive damages occurred on Ms. Barrows estate. Thank you."

"Understood. Does the state have their statement ready?" Judge Hall asks. Opening up a black briefcase situated on the table, John Verrill says "Yes your honor" and stands up to go to the same area, and face the same way, and then starts speaking, "The case made against us today, and against our recent legislation of the Wages Guidance Act, are invalid and morally misconstrued. We hope that the right decision is made, in regards to our fair act, and to our fair nation. Thank you."

"With opening statements complete, we will now hear evidence and testimony from both sides, starting with the plaintiffs. Mr. Gates, you're first." Judge Hall says looking at Erma Barrows' lawyer.
