Speaking for myself: Because I don't belive you're consistent, and I don't believe that you actually care about the mother's life. Any pregnancy entails a risk to the mother. The US has a maternal mortality rate of 23.8 per 100,000, vastly higher than the rest of the western world, yet you are good with state enforced childbirth. You pick and choose which risk of death you deem a potential mother worthy of protection from, and which risk of death the state should force her to endure.
