the US school system can hardly be said to provide an education. once the smart kids are filtered out to advanced and AP classes, it's just daycare for everyone else. maybe private schools are better.

Vassenor asked a question about a proposal for making schools safer and how it would be funded, Paddy responded saying that teachers so inclined would pay the costs themselves, and I made a comment about chronic underfunding of schools in America. Could I possibly have been talking about the funding of the education system? We may never know.
