Goal: To create an international standard for traffic safety as it pertains to everyday life.
Acknowledging that the law enforcement agencies of World Assembly member nations work tirelessly to keep its citizen’s safe from any and all sources of crime and undue hardship.
Understanding that the safety of citizens also extends to the roads in which they drive on, be that highways or rural roads alike.
Ascertaining that the increase in road traffic in modern times has paved the way for a less safe roadway for all citizens. This can be due to driving while under the influence, cell phone usage, and increase of speed where it’s illegal.
Appalled by the lack of proper training observed within law enforcement agencies as it pertains to heavy traffic and traffic safety.
The Following are the rules and regulations all member nations’ law enforcement agencies must followEach law enforcement agent must complete a minimum one month course in traffic safety.
This course must include training on traffic zones and how to manage them, proper traffic flagging procedures, management of crash sites or other blocked roadways, how to direct traffic at a downed traffic light, radar gun use, proper ticketing procedures, and how to administer testing for impaired/drunk driving
Upon Completion of the course, the students will receive a certification verifying they can safely conduct traffic and have advance knowledge of traffic safety. This must be renewed at minimum every two years or they cannot work as a law enforcement officer.
The funding for these classes are to be provided by the member nations’ governments, ultimately coming from taxes on the general populace.
