Though not a military or foreign announcement, I found this significant enough to warrant a post.

I am pleased to announce the addition of an official map, for those that were requesting one. This is the first of three planned. Each map will feature a different tech level for unlimited roleplay possibilities. More details can be found here, including all current claims!

Thank you all! There is some foundational lore, but I am leaving it open to any number of possibilities and directions based on how the citizens decide to take the RP. There are some plans however that will actively have map consequences, such as a nation conquering another nation and the territory being acquired by the winning nation.

Nephmir, bound by a silencing magic seal, ventured into a forest to find the source. It was there, deep in the forest, that he came across an old tomb. Within this tomb was a shaman, who was adept at ancient arcane arts. After a long conversation in an ancient tongue, the shaman agreed to perform the Rite of Passage, summoning a horde of assassins, lead by the legendary Venico the Night Father.

Fighting alongside the knights, The Eternal Order and The Brotherhood of Malice suddenly descended upon the realm of NationStates, tagging 33 regions in under 40 minutes.

Nephmir, under the blessing of Athena, gathered a few of the most elite knights and ventured into the forests surrounding the lands of New Vincencia. This was to be a dangerous mission, for its inhabitants and government maintained a close watch over the region.

"Our reports indicate that the enemy will change guards in precisely one hour's time. During this time, we will have our chance to slip into the gates and overthrow the emperor without anyone the wiser", Athena claimed. Nephmir nodded. Athena's advice was always good. "Prepare, my fellow knights", Nephmir whispered to his chosen few within the forest. "We are about to claim this land as our own... and send a message to our enemies in the process."

The government was overthrown as soon as the guard change took place, and the enemy lay sleeping. In a surprising twist, Nephmir proclaimed "let us launch fire into the sky, so that our enemies may see it - invite them to come and stop us." The fire was launched and the fields were burned, lighting up the dark sky. After an hour had passed with no interference, the emperor was slain and the knight's headed back to the fortress with high morale.

The native community in question exists elsewhere, yes, but they maintain a highly active presence on NationStates - including the one who controlled the original founder account (from what I could gather). The region was captured and conquered in a window of time where it seemed unlikely that any of them would be online.
