Having been betrayed by Britain, Marine A, much like James Bond in Licence to Kill, is now a rogue agent.

IC: Trooper John Ian Gregg (age: 21), son of Oswald Ian Gregg and member of the Northumbrian special forces (trained in Dodging since the age of 16) is sent on a mission to kill Marine A, as he was a British spy.

OOC: Did they announce Marine A's identity on national television?
IC: Following the senseless betrayal of a British agent live on national television for no reason whatsoever ("he put the phone down on us" will not be considered a good reason by the public), the new Labour government's approval rating drops like a stone.

OOC: no they didn’t, yet.
IC: “If our spy doesn’t turn himself in by tomorrow we will disclose his identity.” They say.

Marine A disables all tracking devices on his spy car. Roaring down the A1, he has one goal: to get back to Britain, and depose the "traitorous Liebour government."

IC: Following disabling all tracking devices, the government calls him a deserter and reveals his identity, Sergeant Alexander Darcy.

People are furious that the government has betrayed a British agent. Since he's in a rush to leave and didn't actually do anything, Northumbria collectively shrugs, clearing the roads and leaving the border crossing on the Tees open.
"I've got to get back to Britain and bring down this government," says Marine A to himself as he speeds down the A1 at 150mph.

IC: Whilst some are furious they are in the minority, he was a deserter given fair warning. The only way he’d have any credibility is if he either actually had PTSD or spun a yarn about having PTSD.

OOC: they wouldn’t as he is a deserter. How is it treachery to punish deserters?
I’m sure some sailors hate officers and politicians so much they’d have this mentality and want all officers to be lynched but those sailors hardly going to spend their time nicking other sailors and marines now, are they?
IC: One of them has his foot run over. Meanwhile, his wife says “he’s probably just telling the papers about some really dumb operation that would cost innocent British lives .”

IC: the SAS shoot him.
OOC: why wouldn’t they?
He disobeyed orders during the operation, he disobeyed orders to report back and then just went AWOL
Political revolutionaries and simple discipline cases would each not be accepted into the SAS.
