iROS Announces Field & Schedule for Second Running

iROS Headquarters, Eelandii, Turori :: An announcement posted on twii.tur confirmed the second running of iBen's Race of Stars to kick off shortly and run concurrent with the end of the NSSCRA 11 Season and the kickoff of the 19th World Grand Prix campaign. Just as the first edition of the Race of Stars, the field will be comprised largely of drivers from the NSSCRA and World Grand Prix circuits with at least half of the drivers in the field having at least some experience behind the wheel of an NSSCRA Stock Car. One change from the inaugural edition will be the inclusion of the reigning Everlong Contenders Series champion, Maddison Riley-Jones, as a full time competitor on the circuit. During the first iROS season this spot was a variable entry depending on who the Everlong Contenders Series points leader was on that given week. The Promoters Choice will remain to be a driver chosen from each of the nations hosting an iRoS event while the rotating Tier 3 slot has been replaced with the World Rally Champion who for this edition has been confirmed as Abovian Axel Novikov. Each of the Championship 4 from NSSCRA Season 10 have already been confirmed in participants for the second edition of iROS which will mean the return of Jeremiah Brooke and Kai Qiang along with the addition of a pair of Valentian drivers, Anastasia Freya Yadana Aye who was champion of the NSSCRA and Clarissa Alanis Star Samantha who was the Regular Season Points Leader. However perhaps the biggest announcement coming from the iROS as announced on twii.tur was the return of 'Dagan legend Stacie Houston behind the wheel of the Pink and Black #27.

The fifteen confirmed drivers will join the promoters choice each round with some calling for Recuecn's Abdoulaye Goita to get another chance after losing the inaugural season championship on a count back tiebreaker. Others are looking forward to seeing some of their local drivers on the track competing against the stars of the World. While the schedule for the iROS has not yet been confirmed it is believed that organizers are looking to run at least two combination NSSCRA events with one coming at the Kardashia Autoring in what will be a packed race weekend, followed by the NSSCRA Season Finale at the Tundra Falls proving ground with the two events supposedly being proposed as the 2nd and 3rd events on the iROS Schedule. It is believed that the iROS kickoff race is being targeted to coincide with a World Grand Prix Championship official pre-season test session combination event while the season finale will return to the Vilitan Mountain Challenge Course. Drivers who previously competed in the inaugural iROS season will retain their color combination and number while new drivers will be assigned on priority. It is rumored that Thea Alvarez has requested a rainbow scheme on her #46 Hybrid Dart Chassis while Siovanija & Teuslander Heinz-Otto Junker being assigned the number 02 after the #15 would conflict with reigning NSSCRA champion Anastasia Freya Yadana Aye.

iROS Season 2 :: Round 2

Hwoarang Racing Circuit, Togonistan

Located at the outskirts of the city of Hwoarang, is a race track built in 2002 at the area of an old abandoned military airfield. With the length of 4.025km, it is the biggest racing circuit in Togonistan. When the airfield closed in 1998, it was left unused and it didn't take long until local street racers took it over as a good place for hosting their drag race competitions. However, eventually, local authorities also found out about the events happening there. The City Council liked the fact that local motorsports enthusiasts had found a use for the airstrip and they quickly started plans for turning the area into an actual raceway. Work started in 2000 and the racetrack was opened to the public two years later. Over the time, the track has constantly been upgraded and built to fit the needs of as many different racing disciplines as possible. Over the course of the years, the track has been used to host various motorsport competitions, some of the more notable ones being WGP2 Season 1 Hwoarang GP, TTRL Hwoarang Challenge and Hwoarang 24h Endurance Cup. The 4.025 km-long track is one of the fastest tracks in the whole Novapax region. Built on top of the old military airbase, the surface is generally very flat and the elevation changes during the course are almost non-existent. With multiple airstrips integrated to the circuit, the wide straights allow for great overtaking opportunities with the use of slipstreaming, accompanied with some sharp corners at the end to truly pull of some spectacular maneuvers. The long runoffs on the either side of the track can encourage the drivers to truly go for risks during the race.

The fifteen regular drivers will join the promoters choice each round as their local drivers compete on the track competing against the stars of the World. While the schedule for the iROS has not yet been confirmed it is believed that organizers are looking to run at least two combination NSSCRA events with one coming at the Kardashia Autoring in what will be a packed race weekend, followed by the NSSCRA Season Finale at the Tundra Falls proving ground.


Note: Acceptance is implied as this is largely a non-RP competition. All users will be contacted and given the opportunity to withdraw from the competition if they choose, in which case a replacement driver will be named.

Note: Taylor Henderson (HAP) has withdrawn from Season 3 for IC reasons. Since the most obvious NSSCRA replacement is already in the field, this spot has been re-allocated to be a Tier 2.5 Regional Open Wheel circuit all-star car featuring champions from AOGP, Astyria F1 and WGP3 ENZ. WGP3 Esportiva would have been the fourth seat in this all-star car however the circuit did not run.

iROS Season 3 :: Round 1

Kardashia Autoring, St. Kanye

The Kardashia Autoring is a tri-oval racetrack located in the heart of the Kanyean capital. It is 2.25 miles long, with turns banked 36°, frontstretch 16°, tri-oval 18°, and backstretch 10°. The track's lap record is 35.716 seconds, set by former Glorious Free Republic Motorsports driver Skip Stiller. Sherpalander Kai Qiang would win the first NSSCRA race here, the inaugural Kardashia Chadwick Dealers 400, on the way to a title during the eighth season. During the ninth (the second 400), it would be Cassadagan Stacie Houston capturing the checkered flag on the way to a third place points finish. Last season, the tenth, Thea Alvarez recorded the first victory at the track by a Yeezie; she would move on to the Championship Four and finish as the runner-up in points behind only Anastasia Aye.

Other Activites at the Track may include:
- The ever-popular Tropicorp Pit Crew Challenge is expected to make an appearance.
- Free concerts from top local acts will be held at the infield from Monday to Friday night.
- Of course, Kardashia has many malls and stores for everything from Ajian cartoon figures to camera parts to sneakers. Hungry? Choose from well-known fast food joints such as SubHouse, Lhotse Love, Warner Hall, Fat Chuck's, or Masayabee; fancier restaurants with three to five stars; or catch one of the many food trucks driving about. Practice your tricks in bike and skate parks, or shoot some hoops with the locals in an outdoor basketball court. There are bars, bookstores, bowling alleys and laser tag places.
- Please be reminded that in St. Kanye, smoking (tobacco, vapes, and the very legal marijuana) is not allowed in public places such as the track.

The top 4 finishers in each subsequent round would advance to the next precedent round. The Vilitan Mountain Challenge Course is located in the picturesque region of Vilitan right overlooking the waters of Atlantian Oceania, the Vilitan Mountain Challenge Course was carved out of the Rocks on Vilita's Rockii Coast and offers a unique challenge to all drivers. The original challenge course consists of a wide-open high intensity speed park while The Grand Prix 'Boot' modification of the Vilitan Mountain Challenge Course was a new addition to the facility in preparation for its inclusion in World Grand Prix Championship 11.

iROS Field: Season 4


Eelandii Grand Prix Course, Eelandii, Turori :: iBen's Race of Stars - a special, invitation only racing series contested among the top drivers in the multiverse including champion drivers from the World Grand Prix Championship open-wheel motorsports circuit and the NSSCRA Stock Car Racing series will return for its 4th season beginning with the Eelandii Grand Prix Course during the kick off of the World Grand Prix Championship Pre-Season. The remainder of the schedule, expected to be 5-races in total, has not yet been announced.

NSSCRA driver Thea Alvarez is the defending champion of the series and will return to defend her title against a diverse field of cross-disciplinary drivers including Stock Car, Open Wheel and Rally Car Invitees. The projected field for the 4th iBen's Race of Stars is as follows:

iROS Season 4 :: Round 1

Eelandii Grand Prix Circuit, Eelandii, Turori

This is the first iRoS event to be held at the Eelandii Grand Prix Course, but the second to be held in Eelandii itself. The area now known as Eelandii was purpose-built ahead of the Turorian hosted World Cup 63 Finals as a center of sport and congregation point for fans, players and media alike. Eelandii itself is not a town or a city but a purpose-designated area located midway between the Turorian capital of Almintora and the populous city of Cednia. . Initially consisting of just Eel's park - itself a state of the art sporting complex for football and athletics, the campus at Eelandii was expanded to include the offices of the Football Association of Turori and a permanent training facility for the Turori National Team. Eelandii has been dubbed a "Sportropolis" due to its ever expanding selection of sporting venues including the Multi-purpose venue constructed for Eelandii's participation as the Bandy Demonstration Hub for the 14th Winter Olympic Games.

Shortly after the World Cup 63 Finals, it was announced that Eelandii would be further expanded with a Grand Prix race course using the already existing central loop and large strip. The Eelandii Grand Prix Circuit was completed in time to host a testing session on the World Grand Prix 12 schedule. The 3.23 mile course was built in the shadows of Eels Park and, originally as one of the less regularly used of the sport facilities in Eelandii, relies on the infrastructure throughout Eelandii for its support. The first full top-level motorsports race weekend held at the Eelandii Grand Prix course was the Super Formula Round Turori held during the second International Super Formula Championship.

While the Eelandii campus is more than sufficiently designed to host multiple team sporting events on a single day, the Layout and size of the Grand Prix circuit that cuts through the center of some of Eelandii's key locations including overflow and parking facilities limits the amount of concurrent events that can take place at the other sporting venues on a racing weekend.

The weather in Eelandii is mostly temperate. There is no defined Wet or Dry season but the Chance of Rain is typically constant between 10-30%.

iROS Season 4 :: Round 2

Oxyrhynchus-Ring, Fhulghamous Peninsula Colony, Abanhfleft

This is the first iRoS event to be held at the Oxyrhynchus-Ring and the first to be held in Abanhfleft. This is the third iteration of short track dirt/sediment racing in iRoS: During Season 1, the Mavaloiao Motorplex in Turoki Isle, Vilita hosted iRoS Round 3 with Kai Qiang of The Sherpa Empire winning the race. During Season 3, the HNE Half-Mile in Hapilopper hosted Round 4 with William Archer of Abanhfleft winning.

Oxyrhynchus-Ring, a 0.699-mile long short tri-oval track that is currently the site of the PTCCU Auto Loans 300 race, sponsored by the Port Thimpodopoulos County Credit Union NSSCRA Event. The Oxyrhynchus-Ring has developed a reputation in the Abanhfleft Racing Truck Series (ARTS) as being a place where tire management is king because of the unique nature of the track's surface. The place in which the Ring was built is known for having an extremely abrasive type of sand that quickly erodes and wears down the asphalt and for this race weekend the owners of the track have decided to take inspiration from both the HNE Half Mile in Hapilopper City and the Mviringo wa Dunia in Jiji la Ngao and not sweep away any of the sand from the track for this race weekend - but also to take more sand from the surroundings and dump it onto the track, turning the Oxyrhynchus-Ring from just a simple short track into a sand-covered short tri-oval.

iROS Season 4 :: Round 3

The Autocinetodrome, Rhamnasis, Dyrrhonian Isles

This is the first iRoS event to be held at the Autotocinedrome and the first to be held in the Dyrrhonian Isles. This race is a support event to the AOGP Dyrrhonian Isles Short Track Challenge

Built in conscious emulation of the Hippodrome of Arcesius, itself inspired by the Hippodrome of Constantinople. It is a popular tourist attraction in the Dyrrhonian Isles overseas dieresis, though controversy on the costs involved to build it continues to haunt the place. Accusations of misplaced priorities and megalomania were thrown around at the time.

iROS Season 4 :: Round 4

Drummond Vale Racing Circuit, Clayton, Baker Park

First used for motorsport in 1953 as a motorcycle hillclimb venue, Drummond Vale was slowly developed into a fully enclosed racing facility between 1960-65, and lengthened to its current 3.35 mile (5.4km) distance in 1975 with the addition of the 'Foot' complex to the south of the main straight.
Located in the southwestern corner of Baker Park State, the largest of the seven that make up the Commonwealth, the course sits about 5.5 miles (8.8 km) outside the town of Drummond Vale, and is easily accessible via expressway from the nearest major cities—Clayton, Ezriquay, Hamilton and Belle Haven, the capital of the nation.

There are four permanent track configurations, which can also be mixed and matched at several points; the Club Course is the shortest and is used mainly for karting, open wheel midgets and properly equipped small sports cars for use by members of the DVRC Club; the Vale Course runs longer and includes the flatter area of the infield, where touring cars, Formula BP (open wheel}, and professionally equipped sports cars, along with motorcycles compete; the Hill Course, which was the original hill climb track and used by the same group that race on the Vale; and the full length Championship Course, which will be the configuration on which the WGP2 and AOGP series will race.
