Yeah and mods have given it more flavor. The one I'm playing now starts in the early 10th century BC and with a huge array of various cultural groups and states one can play as. Currently trying to reforge the Hittite Empire. It's a good successor mod to the Bronze Age mod which starts off in the aftermath of the Akkadian Empire's fall.
