"Sitting idly by while that country goes to ruins is not an option." A senator said. "Are we not Aurelians, a people that prides itself on our values of liberty and democracy?! Let us take upon ourselves the responsibility to aid the people of Iulua!" Many other senators cheered and clapped, agreeing with his interventionist stance.

"We must thread carefully however." Another remarked, "We are not the only foreign powers that seek to meddle in the affairs of that sovereign nation. Supporting the Pact of Santiago will probably bring chaos and violence, while supporting the Queen will do nothing to improve democracy and shall not further the interests of the common Iuluan!"

"And let us not forget what we did to our last monarch. Haha!" All within the Senate laughed.

"Gentlemen," Consul Iustinius said after the laughter came to an end, "we stand before a difficult choice to make. However it is, as noted before, our duty- no - our obligation as Aurelians to further democratic values and combat the evils of authoritarianism!
