The Soviet Republic compensates for the losses of the former owners by confiscating the property of the Nazis and obtaining Russian loans.
Russian Burgundy and the new soviet republic are establishing friendly relations.Grande Germania wrote:The democratic-authoritarian side, for its part, is liberalizing the economy, strengthening the police and the army, and creating labor camps, has excellent relations with Czechoslovakia.
The Czechoslovakian Press celebrates the power of the Czechoslovak army and the great economic progress that the Thalberg Authoritarian Democracy is experiencing.
Thalbergian media, on both sides but predominately the Thalbergische Post, are celebrating the end of the war and their "liberation" by both sides. The 2021 "Friendship Parade" was held, ending with soldiers from both sides crossing the established borders and engaging in formal interactions with each other. The Hauptstadt Memorial in the Authoritarian Democracy of Thalberg was constructed and placed in the center of the city days after the end of the war.Let the constitution prohibit purges against the Burgundians and the Authoritarian Democrats!

An amendment to the treaty now disallows labour camps to be built in Thalbergian land, but maximum-security prisons are allowed to be built as long as atrocities are kept at a minimum. Political purges have been outlawed, stating that they "violate not only the Treaty of Hauptstadt, but also several war crime laws." These amendments hopefully establish a more peaceful post-war Thalberg.

I call them work camps because at least you get the inmates to do something useful, instead of making them sit still all day, but they are more than maximum security prisons.

War criminals are now allowed to be deported to work camps in Czechoslovakia following a lengthy debate in Ozeanstadt.

The criminals convicted by the Soviet court should work in the Soviet camps.

It is possible to divide it.

I completely agree with you, so both sides of the country will have their own autonomous governing bodies? what does union matter? (outside the constitution)

What do we do for the capital?
In which area will it be located?
What if instead we turned it into a kind of neutral zone, therefore managed by both sides of the country?

Okay. What do we do for the capital?
In which area will it be located?
The capital for the "red" area will be Carrsonndålig, while AD Thalberg's will be Westenstadt.
Carrsonndålig is in the far-east, while Westenstadt is in the northwest region. What if instead we turned it into a kind of neutral zone, therefore managed by both sides of the country?
Agreed.
OOC: I'm thinking that we should continue this whole post-war thing tomorrow on another thread, as I think it'll be easier to comprehend the story if you had a thread entirely dedicated to those events. You guys don't need to apply for that one because you've already participated in this one.
I'm going to head off for the night (it's 12:26 A.M. here, lol). See you guys tomorrow, hopefully!
