Greetings, compatriots!
It’s TTV with a second part of interview with our FA CEO Torben Mortensen. You can see first part here.

T.R.: Let's get back to the question of how "our" part of the Wonders Cup will be played. And please add some details about formula of the Cup itself.

T.M.: As you already know, the tournament is held in several countries, in three stages, in each country there are four teams playing with each other, first the semi-finals, then the final matches and games for the third place. Each team will play at least six matches in any case. One of the groups of the third stage will play its four games in Trolleborg, and we were lucky to play at home, teams like TJUN-ia, StrayaRoss, Cordia and Sarzonia will play their rounds away, altought their countries also hosts a groups. Our opponents are all familiar faces, TJUN-ia, Sarzonia and Indusse - however, two former send not their first teams: the "young jaguars" from TJUN-ia, the women's team from Sarzonia. Right now we consider themselves ready to host. Most of the obvious problems usually found by arriving fans is already out of the way – like, for example, currency exchange. In Trolleborg you will not neded to have all the problems usually associated with that, we accept almost every possible currency with our state-of-art tourist-helping AI system Keith. And a new expansion of her capabilities is currently being tested.

T.R.: Tell us more about it for our guests convenience. We are already accustomed to the fact that not so many fans arrive with visiting teams, so it is unlikely that everything is well known abroad.

T.M.: Well, AI Keith was launched just before the first world cup in which our team participated, and since then it has been constantly improving. Initially, she knew how to converse in all known languages, exchange any currency for florins, select individual tours to taste and wallet, plan transport and give advice on a certain range of issues. This is definitely not a small list, but now she has understood a huge number of cultural norms and phenomena, can give you advice up to that what food to try with your health and habits, and what kinds of city parts are most suitable for your psychological type. For those wishing to prepare in advance, we can always give advice.

T.R.: What else do foreigners need to know?

T.M.: Well, first of all, you need to be aware that nothing at all in Trolleborg can threaten guests. More serious, anyway, than the obsessive interest of the general public. Secondly, we will be glad if the guests of the country pick up the custom of walking along the main alley of the park surrounding the stadium on December 1 before the games, chanting and singing. Thirdly, we are open to cultural exchange. If you have something that you want to show the world, some kinds of art, customs, traditions, dishes, we will find a large enough area that you can use for this. And if you want to partake of our culture, just on the days of the championship near the capital, twenty minutes from the center by the fast train, there will be a large festival dedicated to the events of the medieval history of Trolleborg. In Belnegau, at a feast with a local ruler, one could just see how such things look in our country: minstrels, knights' tournament, fireworks, plus traditional cuisine, trades, crafts, competitions in various arts...

T.R.: Yes, after Belnegau, there has been an increased interest in this period.

T.M.: And this is very encouraging. But what is not encouraging that in order to increase interest in our own history we had to go across three seas. In my opinion, we in Trolleborg should turn to the roots more often.

T.R.: By the way, everone was seen that you wear the traditional costume at Belnegau grand reception in a very dignified way and it’s fitting due way on you.

T.M.: Thank you. By the way, this is my personal one costume, not rented, it is kept in my boardroom at home. For a few first minutes it was difficult to go without a tail, but you have to respect local beliefs - maybe you don't know, but in Belnegau the tail is considered a sign of the local evil deity. All in all, it was an interesting experience, unusual. I hope that we will learn some things from the practice of organizing tournaments at the international level.

T.R.: And maybe something from the Wonder Cup?

T.M.: I can't say anything here yet. So far we have seen only one country and did not even have time to form an impression about it, we had to play almost after the flight, and there is not so much information available about what else it has to offer, besides changing rooms and mowed grass at the stadium. The results of the matches at the tournament look a little strange, the impression is that many teams that could count on something, either did not get together, or are not sufficiently motivated. Anticipating the future, I will not answer the question of which of the two categories our team belongs to.

T.R.: So well, thank you for the interesting conversation and we hope to have another conversation before the World Cup!

T.M.: You're welcome! Until next time, compatriots!

The Referee's Bulletin

A bittersweet debut for the 77th Baptism of Fire Champion 3rd January 2022

First of all, from The Referee's Bulletin, we wish all of our readers, listeners and viewers a Happy New Year 2022 and may all your wishes and goals be fulfilled! To start the season and launch the new year, Dispertag is participating and competing in the Wonder Cup that is being held these days around the entire universe. One of the great characteristics of this tournament that makes it special is that the locations where the matches are played are as varied as the members of the championship itself. In fact, we have already been able to enjoy the matches played in the Palaciego Cup in the city of Íscar, one of the many mini-tournaments that make up the Wonder Cup: Tour of the Stars. The fans of Real Íscar CF have been able to enjoy the best football in the hands of TJUN-ia, who faced Boomer Park with a favorable result of 2-2 (4-2 AET); a match full of goals spread over the entire duration of it. The match between Indusse and The Cordian Isles could also be seen, the latter being our semi-final rival in the BoF. Whistles could be heard from the locals at the Jústiz de Santa Ana Stadium when The Cordian Isles had possession but, to the fortune of their players and the regret of the local fans, they took the game in extra time by a tight 1-2 (AET) that earned them victory.

Once the first two games were played, it was left to the victors and the losers to play each other to decide who would get the Blue Ribbon of Victory and the Gray Ribbon of Acceptance. The winner between TJUN-ia U21 and The Cordian Isles would be crowned Palaciego Cup champion. However, the gray ribbon between Boomer Park and Indusse was contested first. Both parties obtained resounding results in resounding victories and crushing defeats. Indusse managed to make a little hand to Boomer Park whose only achievement was to score the goal of embarrassment to lose the Gray Ribbon of Acceptance in favor of Indusse with a decisive 5-1. On the other hand, the grand finale left even less doubts among the spectators. The TJUN-ia U-21 team achieved a devastating 6-0 result against the less preferred team, The Cordian Isles. Thus, the Jústiz de Santa Ana Stadium ended its intervention and the Palaciego Cup ended its competition once its laureates had been established.

On the other hand, Dispertag did not have as favorable a start as expected from his recent win at the BoF. It must also be said that his rival in the Pale Cup, held in Pale, StrayaRoos, was not just any team, but the winner of the third place of the 75 BoF: Atheara. The game was interesting as well as entertaining. With a result after the regulation 90 minutes of 0-0, it was necessary to go to extra time where the first goals could be seen, although very late. Solís Suárez (115 ') and Alfadi Greznotsh (119') by Atheara were the two scorers who, despite having scored, failed to avoid the penalty shoot-out. The nerves were on the surface and it was not for less, to debut with a penalty shoot-out was a start in style. The penalties were turbulent and difficult, with the disadvantage that Dispertag always shot behind Atheara. When the moment of truth arrived, the fifth penalty, Maldonado Fernández fired a too weak shot that did not pose any difficulty for Mugel Krygorf, which meant victory for Atheara's team and that Dispertag would dispute the Gray Ribbon of Acceptance.

Despite not being the situation that fans would have wanted, one cannot always win and everything that goes up comes down. And they knew that. So it was better to give everything to get this ribbon than to run out of nothing. We were facing StrayaRoos Barrier Islands, who had also lost 0-2 in the first round to Southwest Eastnorth U23. Martín was willing to gamble it from the beginning and did not start with the classic starting eleven. Up front, he traded Monrós Saldaña for Guillén Bolaños. In the midfield he gave Cruz Aranda and Campos Zamora rest in exchange for Aguirre Montalvo and Martínez Castillo respectively. Finally, in defense, Castelló Rivera took over from Romero Castillo. The changes had the effect desired by the dispertagueño coach, who saw Guillén Bolaños score as soon as the game started, when the spectators had not yet finished sitting down and buying their refreshments and meals, in the first minute. A poor defense of the opponent, who did not expect a departure from La Aguileña with such offensiveness, allowed to score the first and only goal of the match as soon as the counter started. The rest of the game was a constant struggle for possession that did not result in either of the two participants striking.

As a result of this latest victory, Dispertag may celebrate having achieved the Gray Ribbon of Acceptance, but it is not enough to move forward in the Wonder Cup. The team must strive to get some Blue Ribbons of Victory if they want to know the final stages of the tournament against the great winning nations. We await you at the next trophy: Wonder Cup - HUElavia, which will face Sarzonia Women's at the Capital Stadium in Curumba. Do not miss it!

Boot It!: Not Bad For A First Crescendo, Eh?

Postby TJUN-ia » Mon Jan 03, 2022 8:03 am

After an Extra Time banger with Boomer Park started the Wonder Cup Tour in style, the Young Jaguars of TJUN-ia certainly knew they survived a scare here in Dispertag. Those first 15 minutes even spooked Philip van Oosterend on his own admission, but certainly commended the fight of his team and how they never gave up - especially captain Jose Lozano de la Cruz. He knew he would be captain of this side for 1 tournament only and he was certainly making the most of his opportunity here. Now though, the aim was to claim that all-important Blue Ribbon of Victory in the Final of the Palaciego Cup and everyone knew the atmosphere would be tense at the Estadio Jústiz de Santa Ana when our U21s took to the field to take on The Cordian Isles, a nation from the Baptism of Fire with plenty of potential and coached by a WC Champion from Nephara named Diandra Ballard.

The whole mantra of The Cordian Isles is to "Fear the North" and fear the great abilities of players like Sebastian Voll and Anton "Anklebreaker" Osterholt - but in actuality, TJUN-ia had nothing to fear at all. TJUN-ia wanted nothing more than to claim that Blue Ribbon - but the way we did it was certainly shocking indeed. Poor Kristin Bergstrin would be subjected to a terrible game in the net as the Young Jags took no mercy at all - and I mean no mercy. Captain Jose, Frederico Jiminez and Regina McDuff all managed to get on the scoresheet before halftime, decimating the Cordian defence no matter what their former GK of a Manager tried to do to counter. It was simply unremorseful and the second half proved that, too with 3 goals that all told stories. The 4th came from McDuff, who shared a hug with Captain Jose afterwards before being substituted red in the face. Her replacement, Alisha Carlton, scored the 5th by using her experience gained in the Women's League in Baker Park. The 6th came from one of the rookies, 15-year-old Mikela Djé-Djé, and that was certainly celebrated by all. The Palaciego Cup was indeed ours and so was that Blue Ribbon - and these Young Jaguars aren't here to make up the numbers anymore.

Next up will be the Copa do Panem in StrayaRoos where interesting challengers always await. Our Semifinal will be against the U23s of Southwest Eastnorth, with either The Republic of Western Sol or HUElavia awaiting in the Ribbon Matches. We've gotten off to the best of starts...but the Young Guns of TJUN-ia have to keep calm and carry on during this Tour of the Stars. GO JAGS!

BP looks to remain perfect in Wonder Cup
Jasmine Kallaher
The Daily Mail Soccer Writer

The Commonwealth National Team arrived in Curumba, HUElavia for their second four team tournament in the 2nd Phase of the Wonder Cup Tournament of the Stars, having swept Western Sol and StrayaRoos to take top honors; they face a stronger field than they faced in TJUN-ia, with the opener coming against Indusse, managed by Shane Newman, the former BPNT Assistant Manager under Trevor Richmond.

The Blues are coming off a Third Place finish in the IAC14 after falling short in the semi-final for a chance to defend their title from IAC 13, having been transformed by Newman into one of the dark horse threats to break through in the upcoming World Cup Qualifying.

Manager Hailey Reinhart-Zavaros discussed the matchup which will see match her wits with her one time mentor; she was a summer intern for Newman prior to becoming a youth team instructor, then evaluated tape of opponents during World Cup Qualifying 80.

"I quite literally would not be here today if not for Shane, so it will be a special moment before the kickoff. A lot of people have been important influences on me at Birkenfeld, but I'd have not had any of it if not for him."

Indusse played in Dispertag during Phase 1, where they finished a disappointed 3rd, but Reinhart-Zavaros knows that former IAC Champions will be more than ready to show their mettle against the Bees.
"Even without Shane in charge I think they'd be up for this match, as most teams we play nowadays are. Obviously we are looking at our players under a different type of lens than in the Jenna Raven (Cup) or the AO(CAF), having shuffled the rosters around again. Every time out will be a World Cup Qualifier for us, so we need be ready against all comers."

Kelsey Vickers will make her second start in goal, and the starting XI will be mix & match of the lineups from the previous two outings, with Susana Aguillar wearing the armband.

Greetings, compatriots!
It's TTV with the most actual news about Wonder Cup, where our national football team try to find the way to the top. And it must be noted, that searching going on with a lot of difficulties. They are begins with difficulties in understanding the rules of the tournament and the almost complete lack of information about the places where the matches take place do not help much.

In the first match, our lads had to face footballers from StrayaRoss - a country participating in all recent sporting events. Often without any success, and sometimes with disastrous results, like in hockey recently, but tenacity and perseverance always command respect. And sometimes they bear fruit, and our players should have realized this earlier than after the final whistle in this match. For the sake of fairness, it must be said that at this evening on the field was mainly players who even recently, when all the roads and many vacancies are for newcomers, rarely appear on the field - rather, players who will be able to pretend to constantly enter the lineup after two or three more seasons. Morten Trogil's lads spent almost the entire game at the opponents' box, but they never figured out how to reliably open up a tight defense. And this is troubling in light of the imminent start of the qualifying tournament for the World Cup, since there will most likely be many teams in the group that will build the game in this way. Several dangerous long-range shots, two good corners, a few shots after melees in the penalty area, but this was not enough. And the opponents had literally two chances to score, and they did it at a time when there was no longer any way to rectify the situation. 0-1 - and StrayaRoss goes to meet Baker Park in the final of the party.

And our lads goes to a match for third place with a team about which nothing is known at all, except what can be gleaned from the analysis of its match with Baker Park, lost by them with a score 1-4.

Morten Trogil did not seriously shuffle the squad, clearly wanting to give the guys a chance to improve and redeem themselves, and, fortunately, this time the national team's reservists coped with their task. The only one, as it turned out, the ball was scored by Kranforde who turned out to be one on one with the goalkeeper after an accurate pass from Skrta,

Image

Now our team will take part in the second group stage called Duomji Trophy, which takes place in the StrayaRoss Barrier Islands, in a tiny - especially in comparison with other places to receive games - local stadium, and will have to play with the hosts. This is a chance at least to some extent to recoup the failure in the first round, although, I must admit, we are all looking forward to the game with great worryness.

"Yep but in extras"

"Well I blame the large boulder the size of a small boulder"

"Agree, like he's a fine defender but clearly a large boulder the size of a large boulder should be in"

"It is but at some point somebody else will RP and we'll finally be able to see what these babies can do"

"They're not babies, they're rocks. We bring the U-2 team next Wonder Cup"

"No Bono!"

"But I like the Edge, ok so we can send the U-3s"

"Yeah that's fine because no dumb band puns the whole time"

"Exactly"

"So next Wonder Cup?"

"Wait, what's that again?"

"Don't worry about it and let's win some soccer games"

Steady but Solid Results!

HUElavia takes decent results in opening matches at the Wonder Cup!

Milchama 2–2 HUElavia (4–3 PSO)
(Rock #7 18', Rock #10 67' | Torrisi 10', Carreiro 77')
(Stadium of Friendship, Elephant Valley, South Newlandia)

HUElavia 1–0 United Adaikes Women's
(Chuquimango 45')
(Stadium of Friendship, Elephant Valley, South Newlandia)

Western Sol 0–4 HUElavia
(Castilho 7', Wu 22', Mizuno 70', Sergeyevna 81')
(Panem Stadium, Panem, StrayaRoos)

HUElavia has been a regular participant at the Wonder Cup since its inception, except for one edition, and the team was returning once again wanting to get the chance to make a deep run in the tournament. This time around, the team was a rag-tag group of players who were established league starters, but were not great enough to make the regular HUElavia National Football Team. Thus, as a warm up to the World Cup 90 Qualifiers, Coach Conavacio was tasked to bring these players and develop them to see which one would make the 46-Player roster for the Qualifiers. Given that the team was eliminated in the IAC, this gave the opportunity for Conavacio to make up the tough elimination and find better players that could play with the team possibly in a few years time. With a series of tournaments going on in this edition, HUElavia was seeking to get the most wins they can get in order to contend for the Final Cup.

The first Semi-Final was a hiccup for the team, as they lost to these Rock Players, who seem to have their daily mineral and Iron consumption, where they were held to a 2-2 draw, followed by the same score in extra time, only to fall in a penalty shootout, 4-3. The Gray Ribbon game against United Adaikes Women's was a calm affair, with the B-Team playing, taking the game with ease. The lone goal came in the 45th minute, when a corner taken by Cerqueira went into the box, only for Chuquimango to jump up and head the ball into the goal. The team posed with their Gray Ribbons and had some confidence going into the next tournament.

The Copa do Panem Semi-Final against Western Sol was an absolute beatdown, as the mixed roster that started showed they could work together. The opening goal came in the 7th minute when Castilho gave a blistering, curving shot with his right foot to blast into the goal, making it 0-1. In the 22nd minute, a pass from Mizuno to Wu allowed the Guantzu-HUElavian winger to give a low, curving shot into the goal, making it 0-2. In the 70th minute, a free kick taken by Mizuno went over the wall and past the reach of REDACTED into the corner of the goal, making it 0-3. In the 81st minute, a counter attack saw al-Bahri (in for Wu) give a pass to Sergeyevna into the box, who shot at point-blank past REDACTED to send the ball into the goal, ending the match at 0-4. A commanding win that showed how good these players could be.

The next match will be against TJUN-ia U21, where the A-Team will be starting, with Lettmann in goal, Torrisi as the Captain and the Special Uniform being worn. The team looks to win their first Blue Ribbon of Victory in this tournament and want to come in with great momentum into the Third Tournament in order to see if they can clinch a spot into the Final Tournament. Here's to what can be a successful match!

Boot It!: Another Ribbon To Fight For In Panem

Postby TJUN-ia » Wed Jan 05, 2022 3:12 pm

By Peter Davis

After claiming both the Palaciego Cup and the Blue Ribbon in dominating fashion, the Young Jaguars of TJUN-ia arrived in StrayaRoos with momentum at their backs and new hope arisen for the near future no matter what happened with the DBC. Philip van Oosterend was certainly happy with how his team have managed the Tour of the Stars thus far, but the Wonder Cup is the true prize that everybody wants and he was going to make sure that his team were in contention for that Championship no matter what.

The Copa do Panem would get underway and this Semifinal would see the 2 youth teams of the competition face-off: the U21s of TJUN-ia and the U23s of Southwest Eastnorth (or just SWEN). Arnold Carrington's side is here to try and show off the best youth prospects SWEN has to offer before the upcoming WC and in this mini DBC game, TJUN-ia looked to get some good bonus points by showing the future on these shores can certainly be bright. That would certainly be proven today as while SWEN did show some promise through efforts from Rowan Hurst and Hoyer Harbors, TJUN-ia was simply too good. Regina McDuff would have her cake and ate it with a 37-minute hattrick that was certainly celebrated by all while a corner from Mohammad al-Balochi would be headed home by Zelina Marquez in the 78th for the final nail in the coffin - marking the first time ever that all of TJUN-ia's goalscorers were not men. The All-Gender Revolution will be televised and it certainly was today.

Another Blue Ribbon of Victory would be on the cards for the Jaguars and with the Copa do Panem Final on the horizon, we certainly have a big test to try and claim that all-important prize. HUElavia is a good nation on their day and certainly a big foe for the U21s to face in a tournament like this, but every Ribbon counts and we certainly would prefer a Blue over a Red any day. GO JAGS!

Greetings, compatriots!
Image

It's TTV from StrayaRoss Barrier Island, where our national football team play their another game at strange and nebulous Wonder Cup. Trolleborg players travel to this country to play with none other than hosts, and smaller brothers of StrayaRoss, who ejected us from the first stage semifinal. It must be noted, that conditions on the spot is absolutely awful: stadium was not stadium is all, but just hills with heavily trampled sides and only in some places equipped with tacky and rudimentary benches. As usual in such conditions, our specialists promptly erected a temporary stand so that fans from the country could enjoy football at least in relative comfort. However, nothing could be done about the nightmare field. From the stands, it looked as if some giants were diligently kneading some kind of mud porridge with their hands and feets for a long time and then they poured a lot of water into it and left it that way. Our indignation is somewhat receded by the fact that the hosts are clearly not adapt to play in such conditions as one would expect from the team for which this things are familiar. And taking into account the experience gained in the games on the wet and damp fields of the Melaiu Archipelago, our players looked even more preferable, although this field caused a terrible inconvenience to their style of play. Here is the answer to all those who questioned the usefulness of trips to the rainy tropics for playing there.

Despite the extremely difficult circumstances, the lads sincerely tried not to lose heart and play their usual fast combination game - well, they did what they could. Tha coaching staff did some operations with the players' boots, apparently trying to better adapt them to such conditions, but it seems that they did not achieve much success. But to the joy of our steadfast fans our lads coped with the home team, having won game with a score of 1-0, the only goal was scored by Skrta, who made a great half-fly shot as he can with a greasy ball that Kranforde extracted from the mud and kicked up to the air specially for that. Our defenders then fight selflessly and with great tenacity, and although they could be hung to dry after the game, they defended the net from the attacks by the hosts and game ended with our lads taking a hard and (we really think so) deserved victory.

At the next fixture point Trolleborg team will have even more ridiculous game - against set of moving stones and pebble. We can't seriously say something about them apart from the fact that this team is real dangerous, as was witnessed by their victories everywhere.

"So there seems to be some misconceptions about our Wonder Cup team"

"What's the Wonder Cup?"

"It's that tournament that we keep talking about but nobody else knows about"

"Oh ok, I don't remember it"

"Don't worry about it, it's not a big deal"

"Ok well what were you talking about?"

"Our Wonder Cup"

"What's that?"

"We're not doing this again"

"Fine, but I still don't get it"

"It's a soccer tournament"

"Oh nice, international?"

"YES"

"Why are you so angry?"

"Because I've mentioned it in the last like 3 RPs and this back and forth is boring and not funny anymore. Like it was a cute joke at the beginning of the RP but at this point it's played out and unfunny"

"Then why are you continuing with the bit?"

"Because we have to continue the conversation naturally"

"Oh alright, so anyway this mysterious Wonder Cup tell me more about the Milchamian team"

"It's a bunch of rocks"

"Oh now I remember! We rock as a team"

"Sure we'll go with that"

"I mean our team rocks"

"Yes it does"

"Good I'm glad you agree, I don't see the big deal"

"Other nations keep on saying our rock team is sentient"

"But it's not"

"Exactly, it's just rocks, non-sentient, non-moving, regular on the ground rocks"

"Yeah but they do keep winning soccer games"

"How do you know that?"

"Because other countries wouldn't be able to think the rocks were sentient if we lost. So even though I'm unclear what competition we are in I figure we are doing well based on other reports"

"Ah ok, but those other countries are still wrong"

"Oh they are very very wrong"

"They are just rocks, they don't move"

"No movement"

"Nothing, no breaking of general physical laws, Milchama doesn't have magic"

"Well except for the wizards in the, well I don't know but we have a quidditch team"

"Oh yeah but aren't they a secret"

"Yep it's right next to the secret military base"

"Like with General Specific and Private Public"

"Yep with those guys, I think they'll finally be able to operate their sheep powered ray gun"

"Well only if they can get that one Sheep in the Big City then it could be fine"

"Yeah but he's a tricky sheep"

"A very tricky sheep indeed"

"But yeah the rocks still don't move"

"But they still represent Milchama"

"So we root for them anyways"

"Yep"

"So now we say"

"Come on You Warriors!"

"Let's Go Milchama!"

Boot It!: Welp..All To Play For in Trolleborg Then

Postby TJUN-ia » Thu Jan 06, 2022 4:03 pm

By Peter Davis

We were looking for the Blue Ribbon and the Copa do Panem and instead, the Young Jags had to settle for the Red Ribbon. And it wasn't even close.

The Young Jags and Philip van Oosterend were undefeated up until today, with HUElavia and Leonardo Conavacio wanting to show the stark difference there can be between a Senior and a Youth team. Inexperience killed us here and poor Christian Wollatungi had to collect the ball from the net 4 times - Lie Wu, Lorenzo Castilho, Yanapuma Caipa Jaillita and Bonaldo Fidanza the goalscorers in this painful game.

A Red Ribbon is better than nothing, of course, but with limited spots available in that Final Four, the next and final leg we're involved in at Wonder Cup - Trolleborg may have just become a must-win. Our Semifinal opponents at the 1st December Stadium? Trolleborg themselves, not too far from crushing the Senior Team's dreams in the IAC. Either Indusse or the defending champion Sarzonia Women's Team will await in the Ribbon Match, so this "must-win" is certainly going to be a tough one. But we're TJUN-ia...we don't give up on a challenge and if the Young Jaguars have to beat the odds to make the Final Four...then we will certainly try...GO JAGS!

Wonder Cup heads to Lynchana for last chances
Jasmine Kallaher
The Daily Mail Soccer Writer

The Commonwealth National Team return home for the final two match preliminary tournament at War Memorial Stadium in Alton as leaders in the clubhouse at the present stage; over the first eight events, only BP have swept both opponents to claim a pair of Blue Ribbons and look to make a clean sweep, beginning with United Adaikes' Women's National side.

Of course the Wonder Cup was an outgrowth of the Baker Park Open Cup, which allowed for nations to send single gender squads and in this current edition both United Adaikes and Sarzonia field women only rosters; UA suffered an extra time defeat to Atheara in the finals at the Five Star Mobile Stadium in Cassadaigua last time out.

The pair of doubleheaders--HUElavia and The Cordian Isles will square off in the opening fixture--will mark the first international matches played at the stadium since the inaugural BPOC, when Joshenia and Banija's women played a group stage contest; the BPNT has two previous appearances in Alton (1970, 1987) before the mixed gender era.

Ben Kelley had a second strong showing in goal as the Bees outlasted the Baptism of Fire 77 Champions Dispertag, winning 4-3 on penalties; the locals in the crowds in Curumba were knowledgeable, enthusiastic, and showed support for all four of the visiting sides, which Manager Hailey Reinhart-Zavaros went out of her way to stress.

"I hope the great fans here in Alton will keep in mind that some of the supporters coming here from HUElavia very well could be ones who were generous with their enthusiastic support not just of us but the other teams. Let's give them and their team a similar respect."

Southend AC's 23 year old keeper Ian Dickerson will earn his maiden cap against United Adaikes, and Alicia Craig will captain the side in recognition of her 50th cap which came in the StrayaRoos match.

A Keeper Katastrophee!
exceprt from http://www.swensports.swe

STRYAROOS - It was supposed to be the proverbial "coming out party" for Orenthal Onassis. The talented keeper and college athletics stud looked prime to be the first big development player for the Pioneers. The first trials in StryaRoos. That star studded coming out party has to wait one more set of games as Orenthal missed both games in the Copa de Panem, when he went down against the TJUN-ia U-21 squad. the 6'9''' 275lbs keeper got his leg twisted up in the turf at Panem Stadium on Friday and the team decided to rest him for the pair of games.

In the mean while this ended up spelling disaster for the U-23 Pioneers as both games ended poorly for them. The young team did find up front but there was a seemingly overwhelmed since of being when the kids from Southwest Eastnorth had anything get by them. Poor play on the back end of the field on the Pioneers side really confounded the young team. TJUN-ia could do no wrong with their attacking prowess at a level that the SWEN U-23 team hadn't seen. Jose Lozano de la Cruz and Jackson Smith-Scott had a righteous ol' time passing the ball back and forth amongst the pair as both scored two goals a piece.

It looked like Western Sol could have been a reprised for the team. Yes they had brought in a senior team but the nations didn't appear to have the polished resources of the Southwest Eastnorth team. That was soon proven wrong. Not by the team but rather by mother nature as a storm front consistently ripped through Panem the period of which covered just about the whole game. What this game boiled down to was cleats. You see Western Sol used a much larger cleet on their shoes. We cannot fathom what this game would have been like with dry conditions but frankly a 0-0 draw looks the most optimistic. Hopefully the next round will see Orenthal Onassis back in the keeper slot for the Pioneers, but by then most eyes will be on the domestic situation with the DPL and it's ongoing diatribes with the semi-pro scene.

Greetings, compatriots!
It's TTV from... yeah, from Trolleborg, our beloved country which for the first time in history is hosting an international tournament. Even if it is small, with only four teams, not the IAC, which we have send a bid to host last year, but the whole country is determined to ensure that it is held at the highest possible level.

Image

Our team is approaching the matches of this mini-tournament within the Wonder Cup while having won two victories in the terrible conditions of the StrayaRoss Barrier Islands. The second match was won against perhaps one of our team's strangest opponents in its six-year history, a team of stones. However, you yourself saw everything during the broadcast, and you were undoubtedly delighted with Troll's excellent free kick that brought victory to our lads.

Image

The next mini-tournament within the Wonder Cup will be held in our country. Since we are also watched abroad, let's say a few words about how everything was planned to go.

For the games, a stadium 1st December was selected, where all the most important sports matches of the country are played and the national football team host their games. In the recent past, the hockey national team also received guests on it, after some additional modifications of the field. It was erected in honor of the greatest holiday in the history of the country, December 1, the day our nation was able to call itself as such first time. It was builded by volunteers who worked totally free of charge, so, according to tradition, admission to the matches is also free. The tickets themselves, however, are distributed according to special quotas. Although the stadium does not have a roof, a comfortable temperature of +18 degrees is always maintained on it and in the surrounding area using a special device.

Visitors to the country are likely to choose for their arrival an Trolleborg International Airport, one of the busiest in the Multiverse today, which providing a huge selection of flights to various regions and corners of the world. Since Trolleborg occupies a huge island located quite far from the main two landmasses of South Pacific, it is possible to exclude the possibility of guests appearing by land and it is unlikely that anyone would think of getting there by sea, except perhaps by their own transport.

The currency of Trolleborg is the florin, which is exchanges at approximately 1.80 to the NSD. You don't have to keep it in your head or run to the exchanger, since the AI Keith system, specially designed for escorting tourists, can handle all your calculations, even if you are used to paying with bundles of shells or iron plates weighing thirty kilograms.

Guests of the country are offered a choice of accommodation of almost all imaginable types - from five-star hotels to places for tents. And in the aggregator of hotels, there is even a traditional Trollish caves. Excellent transport infrastructure makes it possible to settle quite far from the capital and the stadium, somewhere on the seaside or in jungles to the south, but to get to the place in a short time.

Just coincided with match days, a grandiose medieval festival will take place on a huge specially designated field, a 20-minute travel from the city center. And a traditional baking festival is held in the center of the capital on one of the squares. But what more, probably, will arouse interest is what will happen on the other square, because there will be a big virtual football tournament. It is supposed to arrange competitions in a whole set of VR games related to football, including the most recent product "Eight Steps to Win", dedicated to the latest Cup of Harmony. The game developers in Trolleborg are planning to present their latest product, WC-90, dedicated to the upcoming World Cup. Tourists are offered numerous museums and galleries for almost every taste and theme, but, as a rule, guests of the country are most amazed by the museum of sporting achievements, which is successfully complemented by holograms and 3D elements of every sort. You can even try to repeat Stuart Kerr's shot, which given BoF cup to the Trolleborg in fully realistic conditions of 3D surroundings complete with sound, smells and wind.

We sincerely hope that the guests of the country will enjoy their stay and look forward to meeting you again!

Now, they were taking on the U21 team of TJUN-ia, where the team was determined to win the ribbon and put themselves in a good position to make the Final Cup. With the A-Team playing, having Lettmann in goal and Torrisi as the Captain, all while the Special Uniform being worn.

The match was another demolition for the team, as they dominated the match from start to finish. The opening goal came in the 20th minute, when Torrisi sent a cross into the box, where Wu gave a low shot that slid past the reach of Wollatungi into the goal, making it 0-1. In the 39th minute, a free kick was given, where Torrisi sent the ball into the box and Castilho towered over Marquez to head the ball past the fingertips of Wollatungi into the goal, making it 0-2. HUElavia continued with attacks, not allowing many chances for TJUN-ia to get shots in, allowing Lettmann stay calm throughout the match. In the 72nd minute, a cross from Regnard went into the box, where Caipa chested the ball down and blasted it past Wollatungi to hit the crossbar and ricochet into the goal, making it 0-3. In the 89th minute, with the game decided, a pass from Torrisi reached Fidanza (in for Carreiro), who was played onside by Diamini (in for Kolorovsky), to go one-on-one with Wollatungi, dribbling to the side past the sprawling goalkeeper, and sliding the ball into the goal, making it 0-4. After the match, the players hug and congratulated each other, giving handshakes and words of encouragement to the TJUN-ian players, while the HUElavian crowd cheered and supported them in their victory, At the end, the players got their ribbons and posed together in a team photo for the celebration and left with satisfaction and motivation.

The third cup awaiting HUElavia is now the Wonder Cup in Baker Park. The matches are set to be played at War Memorial Stadium (23,000), Alton, Baker Park, where in the Semi-Finals, HUElavia is set to play against The Cordian Islands. The result of that match will determine whether HUElavia will play the Gray Ribbon of Acceptance or the Blue Ribbon of Victory against the other team that wins or loses between Baker Park vs United Adaikes Women's. HUElavia will play the B-Team once again, with Sanhueza in goal and Braz-Bittencourt as the Captain, with the Home Uniform being worn for the match. Here's to hoping we can get a victory and catapult our way into the Blue Ribbon match. Here's to a fun and entertaining match!

FORCA HUELAVIA! VAMOS HUELAVIA! GO HUELAVIA!

Boot It!: We Can Actually Win On The Road?

Postby TJUN-ia » Sat Jan 08, 2022 9:13 am

By Peter Davis

After they were sent crashing back to earth in the Copa do Panem, the Young Jaguars of TJUN-ia knew that their final known stop in their Tour of the Stars in Trolleborg would be very pivotal in determining what part they will play in the fight for the Wonder Cup itself. Philip van Oosterend was certainly disappointed with how his team lost that Blue Ribbon to HUElavia in StrayaRoos, but the Red Ribbon they got for finishing 2nd was certainly better than nothing and a good base to build upon in the final mini-tournament before the big one. But the 1st December Stadium wasn't going to be as inviting as you'd expect for this semifinal, as Jose Lozano de la Cruz and his team would have to face the one team that would turn the crowd against them - Trolleborg themselves, the same Trolleborg side that crushed the senior side's IAC dreams not that long ago.

Morten Troghil's Trolls have always been a bogey team for TJUN-ia no matter the scenario, always finding ways to beat us no matter how hard we tried to challenge that fact. With that in mind, some weren't really expecting these Young Jags to take a mostly hostile crowd and an environment they've never really experienced before as a unit in their existence. But PvO made sure his team studied the tape and figure out where Seems and Li went wrong so that they couldn't do that again. It also helped the U21s always use a different tactics book in comparison to the Seniors - a 4-2-3-1 (+2) compared to a 4-3-3 (+1.5). That difference may have been key to this contest's result, as having the two CDMs (Mohammad al-Balochi and Kendra Robertson) and only one attacker (Jackson Smith-Scott) certainly brought the very best out of this situation. These tactics seemed to work and that lead towards a late silencing of this massive arena, when a late brace in the 70th and 77th minutes from Regina McDuff herself. It certainly was a chaotic time and when that whistle went, no one could quite believe what they had seen. The Senior Jags couldn't beat the Trolls during an undefeated campaign at the IAC...but at the Wonder Cup, their U21 counterparts had managed a 2-0 shock on 1st December.

To say no one saw that coming would be an understatement, but everyone here can at least appreciate the Young Jaguars and their resolve to reach another Red Ribbon Match. Things won't get easier at all and the small matter of the defending Wonder Cup Queens stand between us and both our 2nd Red Ribbon and the "Wonder Cup - Trolleborg" - the Sarzonia Women's NT. Finally, the old TJUN-ia vs Sarzonia rivalry is cross into the realm of mixed-gender and it will certainly a fitting end to the 3rd Round come what may. GO JAGS!
