TPL Playoffs

The system of promotion and relegation to the TPL works differently due to it being a multi associational league. The playoffs are contested in two different conferences, the Bollonischian Conference and the Scott Conference. The number of teams in each conference depends upon the number of teams of that association in the bottom 4 of the TPL. Under normal circumstances the number of teams from each association would be two in the bottom 4 meaning that there would be 2 teams from the TPL and 4 teams from that association’s second division in the association’s conference. If the number is however uneven it would mean the number of teams in a conference would increase or decrease as regardless, the number of teams qualifying from the second division to the conference is 4. The number of TPL places up for grabs can also increase or decrease per association as an association’s teams’ can have from 0 to 4 places available to them.

Major Rival - Fermont United
Experts’ Prediction - Top 6
Last Season - 4th place
About - The experienced Diane Niles pulled out the impossible as he made an ageing SC Lagos side finish in the top 4 and seal an IFCF spot. Things not looking good initially improved as they had to fight for the fourth place for a majority of season 1 as they finally secured it being 2 points clear of Vreton United and 4 points of Fermont United their main rivals. They made a number of signings to bolster their ageing squad as they signed Sylestonean goalkeeper Sean Halliday, an experienced Nepharan and young prospects from Tikariot and Cabo Azure. Season Preview Part 2

Vreton United
Manager - Corinne Lefevre (46)
Ground - Rose Bowl (83,000) in Vreton
Major Rival - Vreton City FC
Experts’ Prediction - Top 6
Last Season - 5th place
About - Coming into the first season of the TPL being the defending champions of the Bollonischian Premier League, the United side led by Kerrie Grant were among the favourites to secure an IFCF spot at least and even win the league. The first season of the TPL however didn’t go as they expected with them finishing fifth and having to sack Kerrie Grant, the manager who led them to a BPL title. Facing sort of a drought on funds they had to sell 3 key players which enabled them to bring in some foreign talent such as the young Zachary Evans from Tumbra. With changes to their team and the managerial role, the side will be looking to make their mark second time around and secure an IFCF spot.

FC 69 Norwegian wood
Manager - Carlo Bortolozzi (65)
Ground - Octopus' Garden (100,000) in Norwegian wood
Major Rival - Clube de Norwegian wood
Experts’ Prediction - Top 8
Last Season - 7th place
About - The club based in the town of Norwegian Wood had huge aspirations coming into the first season of the TPL, as they were renowned in Brookstation for being the underdog, the club you don’t expect to win. Their first go in the TPL, saw there form vary from brilliance to mediocrity but managing to finish 7th they were only 8 points of Fermont United and with acquisitions from South Newlandia and The Sarian they will be looking to better their track record in the TPL.

AC Dason
Manager - Alexander Pale (60)
Ground - FBM Arena (41,400) in Dason
Major Rival - Strange City FC
Experts’ Prediction - Top 10
Last Season - 8th place
About - AC Davon were a team that were known for their varying form and variation in form was a striking feature in their TPL campaign as at their best they were capable of beating the best team in the league but also capable of losing to the worst. This varying form meant that they couldn’t do so well only managing to hold onto a Champions’ Cup spot. With foreign acquisitions they would aim to have a more consistent performance.

Season Preview Part 3

Real Pablo FC
Manager - Emmeline Stack (39)
Ground - The Osborne Arena (32,000) in San Pablo
Major Rival - San Pablo SC
Experts’ Prediction - Bottom Half
Last Season - 9th place
About - Real Pablo FC's ninth place finish last season was a TPL miracle which no one expected to happen as the team had been struggling for some time now. Emmeline Stack who took charge of Real Pablo FC as their first ever job as a manager did a tremendous job keeping them out of the relegation zone and in the top 10. Having made two signings from international clubs they would attempt to replicate their success in the first season of the TPL however things don't look very bright with many improvements made by the two clubs from Akusha who will certainly compete for a top 10 spot or even a Champions' Cup spot.

East Akusha CF
Manager - Grant Cook (62)
Ground - Britony SuperDome (64,000) in Akusha
Major Rival - West Akusha CF
Experts’ Prediction - Top 10
Last Season - 10th place
About - Finishing above their Akushan rivals they would be happy with their performance as many expected them to maybe face relegation but with the team they had a better performance was possible. Grant Cook who's been the manager of East Akusha CF for the past 13 years had seen them through both lows and highs and going into the second season of the TPL, he would aim for East Akusha to finish in the top half of the table and contest for some of the higher spots.

West Akusha CF
Manager - Nikolas Horne (48)
Ground - Old Fruedd (31,000) in Akusha
Major Rival - East Akusha CF
Experts’ Prediction - Bottom Half
Last Season - 11th place
About - Unlike their city rivals, West Akusha had infact disappointed as a top 8 finish was expected from them however many holes and gaps in the team soon came to light. Having made a major signing of Mitchell Stevenson from Sylestone, they will look to better and build on their performance in the first season with foreign incomings.

Clube de Norwegian wood
Manager - Tomas Mader (42)
Ground - The Fortress (33,000) in Norwegian wood
Major Rival - FC 69 Norwegian wood
Experts’ Prediction - Bottom half
Last Season - 12th place
About - Unlike their rivals the 69s, Clube De Norwegian Wood had had not a very positive first TPL season finishing in 12th place. Tomas Mader who took charge of the club did a fairly okay job, however Norwegian Wood will be dreaming of big things right now with a possibility of a top 8 spot especially as they made foreign signings. This however currently looks unlikely as experts predict not much improvement from their side, but only the upcoming season will tell.

Season Preview Part 4

Strange City FC
Manager - Jerry Thomas (48)
Ground - The Hub (54,000) in Norweigan wood
Major Rival - AC Dason
Experts’ Prediction - Bottom half
Last Season - 13th place
About - Strange City FC who have been long time rivals of AC Dason, had a underwhelming first TPL season as they managed to avoid relegation but also failed to achieve much finishing in 13th place. Managing to bolster their side by making signings from international clubs, Strange City FC will be looking to build upon the foundation set by themselves in the first season of the TPL.

Dreamland City
Manager - Vincente del Aqua (44)
Ground - Glass Animals Park (44,000) in Dreamland
Major Rival - Regiis Dreamland
Experts’ Prediction - Top 10
Last Season - 14th place
About - Dreamland City's first season in the Twin Premier League was nothing short of disastrous as they finished 14th closer to the relegation zone than to 10th place. Following the disaster that previous season was, Dreamland City have subsequently sacked their manager signing Vincente del Aqua who has cashed out a fair amount for signings. Expectations going into season 2 will be high as they would aim to finish in a top 10 spot and prove that last season was just a freak one.

Pre-Season ~ Champions Cup

The Champions Cup is a pre-season tournament where the top 8 teams of the previous season of the TPL. The Champions Cup serves as a tournament for teams to not show all their cards but also try out new tactics and signings. The Champions Cup had historically been very tightly contested and the current edition did not disappoint.

Group Stage
Champions' Cup Pld W D L GF GA GD Pts
1 AC Dason 7 4 1 2 9 8 +1 13
2 SC Lagos 7 3 3 1 8 2 +6 12
3 Vreton City FC 7 3 3 1 13 9 +4 12
4 Other Side of Paradise 7 3 1 3 21 15 +6 10

5 Vreton United 7 2 3 2 9 19 −10 9
6 Fermont United 7 1 5 1 8 7 +1 8
7 Space Coast Rockets 7 1 3 3 3 6 −3 6
8 FC 69 Norwegian Wood 7 0 3 4 4 9 −5 3

In the Group Stage we saw the unlikeliest of teams’ step up as AC Dason finished on top with 13 points winning 4 of their 7 games losing two. SC Lagos and Vreton City also made the playoffs with both of them being on 12 points with 3 wins and 3 draws. SC Lagos managed to hold back and concede only two goals in a total of seven matches. Other Side of Paradise who had finished second in the TPL just managed to scrap through to the knockouts with 10 points, one points more than Vreton United. Other Side of Paradise secured their knockout position with an humongous seventh matchday win over United, defeating them 12-0 which was nothing short of an embarrassment for Vreton United. Finishing behind Vreton United were Fermont United with 5 draws out of their 7 games as they were followed by Space Coast Rockets who similarly to Fermont United only secured one win. Finishing in last place was FC 69 Norwegian Wood who failed to win even a single win earning their measly 3 points from 3 draws.
In the double knockout format of the Champions Cup, AC Dason would face SC Lagos in the first qualifier as Vreton City took on Other Side of Paradise in the eliminator. The winner of the first qualifier would get direct qualification to the final while the loser would face the winner of the eliminator for the last place in the final.

Knockouts
Qualifier 1
AC Dason 2–1 SC Lagos

Eliminator
Vreton City FC 1–1 Other Side of Paradise (1–1 AET) (4–3 pen.)

Qualifier 2
SC Lagos 0–1 Vreton City FC

Final
AC Dason 0–0 Vreton City FC (0–1 AET)

AC Dason narrowly edged out SC Lagos in the first qualifier by a 2-1 score as they moved onto the final continuing their fabulous run in the Champions Cup which could possibly point to how they would be doing this season. Vreton City vs Other Side of Paradise on the other hand was an incredibly tight game with it being decided by a penalty shoot-out. Alan King was the culprit who handed the win to Vreton City as he missed the final penalty kick of the five. Vreton City then moved onto the second qualifier where they came up against SC Lagos. This would be a crucial and decisive game for both sides. The only goal of the game was scored by Vreton City FC’s new signing Urien Brehaut. This goal put them into the finals of the Champions Cup where they would face AC Dason, a side who had been on top form for the entirety of the tournament but so had Vreton City. The teams and fans were in for a cracker of a final. The match however unlike expectations never really ignited with both teams remaining very solid for 90 minutes straight as they made no mistakes. The game was finally decided in favour of City with a late extra time goal.
Vreton City’s players took home the Champions Cup with a spectacular performance throughout the competition showing that they would reman competitors for the TPL this season too.

2. Urien Brehaut Image - 5 goals (Vreton City FC)

Season Part 1 - Matchday 1 to 5

This was it, this was the weekend people had been waiting for a long time. This would be the long awaited return of Bollonich and Brookstation’s premier footballing league the Twin Premier League. The league was kicking off on Friday with a match between title contenders Other Side of Paradise and newly promoted side Maihar United. Despite The Yellow and Blues having a pitch perfect promotion campaign against Other Side of Paradise we expected Paradise to easily win. But staying true to the TPL’s unpredictable nature the match hardly went that way. It was Maihar United who struck first scoring in the 32nd minute as Savigliano, Diana Barale played a fabulous ball forward to striker and new signing Amber Savage who made no mistakes in putting the ball at the back of the net. Paradise retaliated strongly to this with goals from Robes and Batelie putting them ahead with only 12 minuted of play to go. Maihar United’s players had now started to panic. Going into the first half they had been leading and falling behind seemed like something that wouldn’t really be happening. They however were rescued as Barale came good once again scoring a crucial goal and getting a draw for the team, as Paradise dropped two crucial points.
On Saturday we saw a number of pedestrian matches as City, Rockets and SC Lagos won their matches against relatively weak opponent. The match that stood apart on Saturday was Vreton United’s encounter against newly promoted Brook side Essidise Titans. Following a disappointing first TPL season, United had to sell some of its most crucial players only managing to make one signing and bagging a Dagan free agent. The Titans had stuck to their miraculous promotion side only making a few minor domestic transfer and a signing of a Tikariotian. The match went very much not how United would’ve hoped as they struggled to create any real threat despite them having the majority of the ball. The Titans who just stayed behind and soaked up the pressure managed to keep themselves from conceding. And with time winding down and United pushing harder, they gave the Titans a small opening which the Titans promptly jumped on. With a quick counter attack and a good pass from young Robichaud, the talismanic Edling was through on goal. And that was all he needed, as he comfortably put it past first team keeper Sirigu as United had just dropped some big points against a side that will most probably contest for relegation.
Sunday was a much crazier day for the weekend as San Pablo SC took a very surprising win over the 69s who are expected to finish in the top 8 and they were not expected to lose to a team that would most probably be battling relegation. San Pablo beat them in similar fashion to United’s defeat to Titans. San Pablo’s goal was scored by experienced centre forward Sue Paternoster. The Akushan Derby didn’t live up to it’s hype as the game ended in a close but mediocre draw with both teams delivering sub-par performances. Dreamland City battered Real Pablo a fair bit as they failed to cope with the beginning of the new season. AC Dason also recorded a comfortable win with their new centre forward from Lathamford showing his skill as he racked up two goals. The other bizarre result was Clube de Norwegian Wood’s triumph over Fermont United who were among the favourites to contest for a top four spot and possibly a title with the improvements they had made. This match was nothing short of an implosion for the Fermont United team as they managed to lose an early goal lead given to them by striker Dennis Perry. The Clubs de Norwegian side finished 6 places behind Fermont United in their first season. Norwegian Wood made a last moment comeback with two back to back goals from Harchi and substitute Petrovic who scored in added time to win them what could be called the match of the match day as Norwegian Wood pulled one of the biggest upsets of the weekend.

Matchday 1
Other Side of Paradise 2–2 Maihar United
Vreton United 0–1 Essidise Titans
Vreton City FC 3–1 Halebid Warriors
Space Coast Rockets 1–0 FC Maihar
SC Lagos 2–0 Regiis Dreamland
AC Dason 4–1 Strange City FC
FC 69 Norwegian Wood 0–1 San Pablo SC
Fermont United 1–2 Clube De Norwegian Wood
West Akusha CF 1–1 East Akusha CF
Dreamland City 4–1 Real Pablo FC

The second season rolled around and with it came redemption for some teams while it caused further pain for others. Saturday was fairly calm for most teams as we saw only one surprising result which we could’ve pre-empted from matchday 1 results as FC 69 Norwegian Wood continued to struggle this time against Strange City FC. Strange City who had finished in thirteenth place last season made a few big signings including bringing in Nepharan Alfonse Cameron to give their team a much needed boost. The Strangers however didn’t look very strong against AC Dason and the same was expected against The 69s. But just like matchday 1 for The 69s never got into their groove. It were the Strangers who scored first putting two goals past North who could only keep watching as two goals sailed past him. Things hadn’t gotten easy for 69 Norwegian Wood as their start to the new season was incredibly poor as they sat in 17th place scoring one goal in two matches which came from new signing and South Newlandian Atkins. The rest of the games on Saturday were fairly straightforward as Maihar United had a goalless draw with the two Akushan sides and Fermont United picking up a win.
Going into Sunday the big spectacle of the weekend was eagerly awaited as two giants of the league, United and Paradise would be facing off. Before we had the showdown of the matchday FC Maihar pulled something out of their bag getting a narrow win over SC Lagos with Grearish Union’s Gia Knott scoring the sole goal of the game. AC Dason, The Rockets and City continued each of their streaks bagging their second wins of the season. The match that everybody was waiting for had arrived, and with Paradise playing at home they had the advantage. This advantage however didn’t transfer into their play as Vreton United pulled away really quickly with two quick goals in the first half. The scorers Abbott and Cummings had given United a much needed lead as they could rest easy having suffered a difficult defeat to the Titans on Matchday 1. Paradise tried to attempt a comeback but couldn’t make much of a difference with Mohanty’s goal as United managed to score soon after putting the match firmly out of the reach of Paradise. Paradise were the team that had defeated United 12-0 in the Champions’ Cup and now United had extracted revenge on Paradise’s home ground itself.

Matchday 2
Maihar United 0–0 Real Pablo FC
East Akusha CF 2–0 Dreamland City
Clube De Norwegian Wood 1–2 West Akusha CF
San Pablo SC 1–2 Fermont United
Strange City FC 2–1 FC 69 Norwegian Wood
Regiis Dreamland 0–1 AC Dason
FC Maihar 1–0 SC Lagos
Halebid Warriors 0–1 Space Coast Rockets
Essidise Titans 0–4 Vreton City FC
Other Side of Paradise 1–3 Vreton United

Matchday 3 had some huge matches in store for us as the two main teams competing for the title would face off on Saturday. Kicking off Saturday with what was supposed to be a cruising victory for Vreton United against Maihar United soon turned sour as Maihar continued their unbeaten run as well as picked up their first win of the season by a narrow one goal margin. The Rockets also had slight of a shocker against the Titans as the Titans held them to a draw. And then it was time to move into the grand show of Saturday that was Paradise vs City. City had been looked strong in their two matches and this game was expected to be a banger. It was for Paradise but not so much for City as an early red card on Denys Trubin set them back by a lot as they went on to concede five and be prey to a Paradise ravaging. This had been a shock defeat for City and let alone the result, the score was even more shocking as City failed to even get on the scoresheet. It was clear that City had places to improve in if they were to make it far in this title fight. SC Lagos and AC Dason, the other two teams who played on Saturday recorded fairly pedestrian wins over their opponents with AC Dason going top of the table as the only team with a perfect record.
On Sunday the first match of the day was 69 Norwegian Wood’s game against Regiis Dreamland which was another disappointing result for The 69s but not for general fans of the TPL as the match ended two goals each in what was a thrilling encounter. The other draw of the day was a goalless draw between Dreamland and Norwegian Wood. Fermont and West Akusha recorded comfortable wins as Real Pablo FC showed to East Akusha following an inspiring first season from them that their good results weren’t just a fluke.

Matchday 3
Vreton United 0–1 Maihar United
Vreton City FC 0–5 Other Side of Paradise
Space Coast Rockets 1–1 Essidise Titans
SC Lagos 1–0 Halebid Warriors
AC Dason 2–0 FC Maihar
FC 69 Norwegian Wood 2–2 Regiis Dreamland
Fermont United 4–0 Strange City FC
West Akusha CF 3–1 San Pablo SC
Dreamland City 0–0 Clube De Norwegian Wood
Real Pablo FC 1–0 East Akusha CF

Some of the starting Matchdays were the best in the TPL with some of the best teams playing each other during this time and with all to fight for. And Matchday 4 was the auspicious day for Bollonischian football, the day everything comes to a halt as everyone’s glued to their screens for the best match of the season. The Vreton Derby was coming up and the hype all around Bollonich was expected. We however started with some other matches on Saturday with Maihar United holding East Akusha to a solid draw following East Akusha’s disappointing loss to Real Pablo. Real Pablo FC backed up their win with another win this time against Norwegian Wood rising to seventh. West Akusha and Fermont won their matches as Fermont continued on their good stretch of wins. San Pablo SC and Dreamland were participants in another entertaining 2-2 draw backing up the one last matchday between Regiis and The 69s.
Before the main event of the weekend came about more pain for the 69s as they dropped points once agains, this time against FC Maihar. The match ending in a 1-1 meant that 69 Norwegian Wood sat at only 2 points from their 4 games sitting in 18th position. AC Dason’s perfect record was also shattered with new signing Bronwyn Forest scoring the very crucial equaliser for Halebid Warriors who had barely made their way back to the TPL. SC Lagos won a close game against Essidise by a goal as they recorded their 3rd win. We also had a very crucial game in Brookstation as the two best Brook teams faced off. The match was at home for Other Side of Paradise but given their recent form things were not looking good for them. Paradise opened scoring with Robes, Mohanty and Batelie looking threatening but after scoring two goals within the first thirty minutes of the game Paradise’s entire threat died down. The Rockets started going forward and they were much more successful with a brace each of John J. Johnson and Ronan Senneschault. And the Rockets had sprung another surprise the way of the Other Side of Paradise getting a crucial victory which put them in second position. And that would bring us to the event we all must’ve been waiting for. Given City’s recent thrashing to Paradise we expected a very close fight and saw United having a chance against them which they didn’t have in a long time. But it was City who had the first laugh with goals Schmit and Helier putting them ahead. They also had the last laugh with youngster Brehaut getting on the scoresheet cancelling out the lone goal scored by United winning City the first derby of the season.

Matchday 4
Maihar United 0–0 East Akusha CF
Clube De Norwegian Wood 0–1 Real Pablo FC
San Pablo SC 2–2 Dreamland City
Strange City FC 0–1 West Akusha CF
Regiis Dreamland 0–1 Fermont United
FC Maihar 1–1 FC 69 Norwegian Wood
Halebid Warriors 1–1 AC Dason
Essidise Titans 0–1 SC Lagos
Other Side of Paradise 2–4 Space Coast Rockets
Vreton United 1–3 Vreton City FC

The fifth matchday was around the time when the table was starting to take its shape while teams were desperately trying to overdo previous mistakes or continue on good starts.
Kicking off the weekend was City’s encounter against Maihar United which was a calm and collected game for City as they secured an easy three to nil win. Vreton United had a chance at redemption, a chance to correct their mistakes that they made against City. And they did that, solidifying the defense and scoring only one goal but that one goal from Griggs was enough to win them the match over the Rockets. Another interesting encounter followed as it was SC Lagos this time that piled on Other Side of Paradise’s misery putting three goals against them. 69 Norwegian Wood finally got back on track with a win lifting them to 12th place. They scored two good goals and conceded none with Weaver scoring his first of the season. AC Dason recorded another comfortable win keeping first place in their hands albeit by one point.
Starting Sunday was an absolute demolition of a match as Fermont United completely obliterated FC Maihar defeating them 9-0 with Dennis Perry bagging four goals and Imuameni scoring 2. The rest of the day saw very little number of goals being scored as the match between West Akusha and Regiis ended in an uneventful draw as West Akusha’s neighbours East Akusha won their game against Norwegian Wood. Dreamland defeated Strange City in another low scoring one goal victory. And in the first San Pablo derby of the season it was Real Pablo FC who triumphed by a very close margin of one goal scored in the dying moments of the match scored by the young Gravehurst.

Season Part 2 - Matchday 6 to 10

It was that time of the week again, that time when we see the best clubs from Bollonich and Brookstation face off. Kicking off Matchday 4 was a cracking encounter between Norwegian Wood and Maihar United. Maihar United had been having a relatively good start which would start to fall apart as Norwegian Wood destroyed them in what was an incredibly promising performance from them. Vasiliauskas and Veum all got on the scoresheet in the four goal rout of Maihar United. East Akusha, Strange City and Dreamland City all got relatively easy victories against their opponents with it going deep in the Dreamland derby. The major upset on Saturday however was West Akusha’s shock loss to FC Maihar. Gia Knott of Grearia had been the star of the show for FC Maihar and she shined once more against West Akusha scoring a brace and giving FC Maihar a crucial victory.
Sunday was usually the day we saw some of the title contenders play and that was certainly true for Matchday 6 of the TPL. We started Sunday with what was an easy game for Fermont against Halebid Warriors who they dispatched relatively easily scoring 4 goals similar to Norwegian Wood’s thrashing of Maihar United. The 69s who’d just won their first game of the season four unimpressive performances, underperformed once again. This time against Essidise Titans who narrowly managed to pick up a draw against them scoring in the dying moments of the game in an attempt to lift themselves out of the relegation zone. The next match would be crucial for the title fight as AC Dason the league leaders faced Paradise who had had an underwhelming start to the TPL. They were looking to make a comeback as AC Dason were trying to keep up their fabulous start to the season. Things however wouldn’t ago AC Dason’s way as they struggled to keep up with Other Side of Paradise’s incredibly aggressive play and fast paced passing. And by full time, Other Side of Paradise had repeated what they did to Vreton United in the Champions’ Cup putting 8 goals past AC Dason keeper Arthur Rybus. The match between Vreton United and SC Lagos ended in a goalless draw as both sides held onto their clean sheets and took a point each. Vreton United’s neighbour’s City however didn’t hold onto their clean sheet as they conceded one against the Rockets while also scoring three. This loss that AC Dason incurred to Paradise meant they fell off first place with Fermont United taking it being tied on points with Vreton City while having a higher Goal Differential.

Matchday 6
Maihar United 0–4 Clube De Norwegian Wood
San Pablo SC 0–1 East Akusha CF
Strange City FC 1–0 Real Pablo FC
Regiis Dreamland 1–2 Dreamland City
FC Maihar 2–1 West Akusha CF
Halebid Warriors 0–4 Fermont United
Essidise Titans 1–1 FC 69 Norwegian Wood
Other Side of Paradise 8–0 AC Dason
Vreton United 0–0 SC Lagos
Vreton City FC 3–1 Space Coast Rockets

Life goes on for TPL sides, as The Rockets continued building towards a good season with a good comeback against Maihar United. Having lost to Vreton City on the previous matchday they came back with a strong win looking to capitalise on Maihar’s run of bad form. Vreton City who came up against SC Lagos, continued to dominate as they went top of the TPL as they comfortably defeated SC Lagos with two goals scored and none conceded. Meanwhile their neighbours were playing AC Dason over in Brookstation. AC Dason had got an electrifying start to the season but their humongous loss brought them crashing down from Paradise, literally. Vreton United who were coming off a goalless draw against Lagos, seized this opportunity. The only goal of the game came from the side of United being scored by Dolph Scrivens, who’s signing has been a major boost for the club. The upset of the day however was The 69s defeating the Other side of Paradise in an exceedingly close encounter. 69 Norwegian Wood had had a shocking start to the season, and so had Other Side of Paradise. Just as it seemed Paradise could be getting back to top form with their impressive win over AC Dason, they came tumbling down as one goal from Cole completely shifted the balance. Fermont United continued their run of good form with another win this time against The Titans.
Sunday was a very quiet say for the TPL with no upsets taking place. West Akusha comfortable defeated Halebid at the Old Fruedd which is among the oldest stadiums’ in Bollonich. Real Pablo and East Akusha recorded one goal wins over their opponents, Regiis and Strange City respectively. Norwrgian Wood continued their strong showing against Maihar United with another win this time defeated San Pablo as they moved up to tenth position. Dreamland City, similarly to The Rockets showed no mercy in their 3-0 demolition of FC Maihar.

Matchday 7
Space Coast Rockets 3–0 Maihar United
SC Lagos 0–2 Vreton City FC
AC Dason 0–1 Vreton United
FC 69 Norwegian Wood 1–0 Other Side of Paradise
Fermont United 3–1 Essidise Titans
West Akusha CF 3–1 Halebid Warriors
Dreamland City 3–0 FC Maihar
Real Pablo FC 1–0 Regiis Dreamland
East Akusha CF 1–0 Strange City FC
Clube De Norwegian Wood 1–0 San Pablo SC

The TPL never stops, does it? Well, it does, but we hope it never did. Saturday started in a very not exciting way as Maihar United and San Pablo drew their game with both teams scoring zero goals. That was boring but Norwegian Wood’s continued display of good form was not for their fans as they recorded their fourth win in a row. Regiis Dreamland won their first game of the season with a close 1-0 victory East Akusha. Real Pablo continued their strong run of form and so did Dreamland City with 1-0 victories over their respective opponents.
Saturday overall was incredibly boring with only 5 goals being scored across five games. We needed some excitement and more importantly goals. And keeping up with the TPL’s habit of never disappointing, it didn’t disappoint. We kicked off Sunday in the best fashion possible as West Akusha dispatched Essidise for a 5-0 victory away from home. The young Wheelock bagged a hat trick in this 5 goal rout of Wets Akusha. The next match was a highly anticipated encounter between Other Side of Paradise and Fermont United. Fermont United had been going very strong for the season having lost only one match out of their 7 matches and winning 6. Other side of Paradise meanwhile were very much struggling with four losses and only 2 wins. They needed this win desperately and they would be the first to go down. Dennis Perry carried forward his incredible form scoring and giving Fermont the lead. But the game would turn on its head in a few minutes as they incurred a red card due to handling the ball in the box. Licentian defender Volman was sent off and Fermont had incurred a penalty and gone a man down. And their game went downhill from there as they struggled to keep up with a man down with Paradise scoring three goals with their strikers having a walk in the park against the 10 man Fermont United. Vreton United piled onto the pain of 69 Norwegian Wood as they put 6 goals past goalkeeper Tony North as FC 69 Norwegian Wood’s bad results seemed to be getting worse. AC Dason who were once leaders had now fallen down to ninth place with a one goal all tie with Vreton City who rose to the top follow Fermont United’s loss. Sunday ended similarly to the beginning of the matchday weekend, with a nil nil draw.

Matchday 8
Maihar United 0–0 San Pablo SC
Strange City FC 0–2 Clube De Norwegian Wood
Regiis Dreamland 1–0 East Akusha CF
FC Maihar 0–1 Real Pablo FC
Halebid Warriors 0–1 Dreamland City
Essidise Titans 0–5 West Akusha CF
Other Side of Paradise 3–1 Fermont United
Vreton United 6–0 FC 69 Norwegian Wood
Vreton City FC 1–1 AC Dason
Space Coast Rockets 0–0 SC Lagos

Coming into the second season of the TPL, all eyes were on teams who had just received promotion. How would they do fare? Given the dramatic way they made their way to the TPL with a fabulous qualifying campaign, expectations were high for them. And they showed us once again with a convincing 2-0 victory over SC Lagos where SC Lagos were simply outclassed by this side who had just made their way from the BPL. Waller and Bell were the players on the scoresheet giving Maihar this crucial victory. AC Dason who were eager to bounce back did so with a tremendous showing against The Rockets as they defeated them 2-0 as Strongwick continued to have strong showings, receiving support from the midfield of Banfi and Villaverde. Vreton City who had taken the lead of the TPL had an important game against the struggling FC 69 Norwegian Wood. In a six goal thriller eventually it were the fans who emerged victorious as they got to witness a thrilling 3-3 draw with good goals and play from both sides. This draw presented Fermont United with an opportunity to reclaim the lead of the TPL, and for them to do so Vreton United stood in their path. Vreton United took the lead in the early minutes of the game through winger Abbott. Fermont equalised late into the second half as it seemed the game would be giving each team one point, but Griggs managed to pull a blinder in the last seconds of the game as United went ahead with the last kick of the match. The exciting day that Saturday was came to a conclusion with Other Side of Paradise’s fourth win of the season as they defeated West Akusha.
Saturday had been a blast, now it was to be seen if Sunday could live up to it. We started promisingly with a 5-3 thriller which eventually saw Dreamland City come out on top as they rose to second on the table. The rest of the day however only saw 3 goals as Halebid, Norwegians Wood and Strange City picked up three points scoring a goal each.

Matchday 9
SC Lagos 0–2 Maihar United
AC Dason 2–0 Space Coast Rockets
FC 69 Norwegian Wood 3–3 Vreton City FC
Fermont United 1–2 Vreton United
West Akusha CF 1–2 Other Side of Paradise
Dreamland City 5–3 Essidise Titans
Real Pablo FC 0–1 Halebid Warriors
East Akusha CF 0–0 FC Maihar
Clube De Norwegian Wood 1–0 Regiis Dreamland
San Pablo SC 0–1 Strange City FC

3-7?! Yes, 3-7! That’s how we kicked off Matchday 10, with a bang. Strange City were up against Maihar United in what was to be a close encounter, close it was not. Entertaining however it certainly was. In the match that saw 10 combined goals from both sides, we witnessed Maihar score three good goals while concede double the amount they had scored. Their neighbours meanwhile asserted that they could also play football, keeping themselves out of the relegation zone with a good win over Norwegian Wood. East Akusha returned to winning ways as they defeated Halebid Warriors. Regiis Dreamland also made the maximum out of the fact that they were playing San Pablo a side that had been struggling for some time now as they edged them our getting three crucial points as they eyed getting out of the relegation zone. Essidise Titans on the other hand only got pushed further into the relegation zone as they lost to Real Pablo. Gravehurst and Tamni Graves were crucial for them and so was Brenacian Callum Marcus who held back the Titans’ Forwards well.
For Other side of Paradise’s fans there is no better way to start the day then to win after what had been a shocking start to the season. Paradise defeated Dreamland City who are second on the table 1-0. Vreton United kept going strong and lifted themselves to third place with a tight 3-2 victory over West Akusha as Scrivens and Griggs shone once again for United. Vreton City followed in their footsteps as they pulled three points clear of Dreamland City with a win over Fermont United whom had just suffered three back to back losses. FC 69 Norwegian Wood pulled out a blinder as they defeated The Rockets away following their exceedingly horrific start to the season. Two goals for the Rockets from Senneschault and Vermoden was not enough to put them ahead as goals from Rajan, a brace from Atkins and another goal from Cole was enough to ensure victory for The 69s. SC Lagos also recorded a good win over AC Dason who had been struggling ever since they went atop. Nepharan Prentice recorded a hat trick in Lagos’s win over Dason putting them above them in 8th place on the table.

Season Part 3 - Matchday 11 to 15

AC Dason’s quick fire success had slowly faded into nothing as they were now fighting for a mid table spot and losing to Maihar United didn’t help with that. AC Dason initially took the lead however Maihar soon struck back with a goal from Amber Savage before going in front due to a goal fro m Diana Barale. Maihar were now looking strong as they continued this scoring spree with another goal from Barale and a goal from the young winger Waller. This loss was a tough one for AC Dason as they had now fallen to eleventh place on the table. 69 Norwegian won their game against SC Lagos putting up a good performance in their attempt to rise up the positions. Fermont United managed to bring an end to their losing run with a draw against The Rockets as both teams had recently been struggling. Vreton City continued their strong run with a 2-0 win over West Akusha. Vreton City now pulled 5 points clear of everyone else as it looked as City would be the favourites for their 2nd TPL title. Dreamland City who had to their surprise been competing for a spot towards the top of the table managed to grind out a draw against United holding them back and keeping second place on the table in their hands.
Other side of Paradise begun Sunday with a bang as they scored four against Real Pablo FC. Paradise’s season so far had been full of up and downs and on and off performances as they had finally been able to climb the places reaching sixth position. East Akusha equalled Dreamland City on points as they narrowly defeated Essidise Titans who hadn’t been having the best time in the TPL as they would’ve hoped. Halebid Warriors suffered yet another defeat, their 9th of the season as Norwegian Wood striker Must sealed the game with a brace. FC Maihar managed to pick up another crucial victory in similar fashion to their neighbours. Strange City also won their encounter against Regiis in comfortable fashion as they were never in threat of conceding a goal. A gap seemed to be forming between the bottom four and the rest of the pack and the top teams Vreton City and the rest of the pack.

Matchday 11
AC Dason 1–4 Maihar United
FC 69 Norwegian Wood 3–1 SC Lagos
Fermont United 1–1 Space Coast Rockets
West Akusha CF 0–2 Vreton City FC
Dreamland City 1–1 Vreton United
Real Pablo FC 0–4 Other Side of Paradise
East Akusha CF 1–0 Essidise Titans
Clube De Norwegian Wood 2–1 Halebid Warriors
San Pablo SC 0–1 FC Maihar
Strange City FC 1–0 Regiis Dreamland

Maihar United were again the firs team playing on Saturday and just like last week, they didn’t disappoint once agains. They comfortably defeated Regiis Dreamland, scoring two goals as they had now built quite the gap between them and Regiis who were in 17th place. FC Maihar picked up a strong victory against Strange City putting themselves in second place. Halebid Warriors rose in places as they defeated San Pablo who sinked down to 19th place above of Essidise Titans. Norwegian Wood rose to third position on the tabewith yet another victory this time over Essidise Titans who were pushed down to last place on the table as a climb from down into the depths looked very unlikely for them. Other side of Paradise who’d made their way significantly from a bad start to the season, slipped up against East Akusha as the game came to a 1-1 conclusion. Buikema and Robes were unimpressed by the showing from the rest of the teams both thought their sides could’ve done better.
Vreton United started their Sunday in spectacular fashion as they took second spot with a victory over Real Pablo who had now fallen more spaces. Vreton City assisted in Vreton United’s rise to second spot as they thrashed Dreamland City putting five goals in Mitch Bailey’s goal. The Rockets also managed to pick up three vital points narrowly edging out West Akusha with an ever important goal from Johnson. SC Lagos and Fermont United were fighting for a similar spot on the TPL table as both teams now faced off. SC Lagos got off a to a great start with a few early chances before finally Stacy converted to give Lagos the lead. Quinn added to that lead before Prentice finally sealed the game with a fabulous goal as SC Lagos scored 3 very important points over strong competitors for an IFCF spot. And in the final match of the weekend, once league leaders sinked even lower as they lost to 69 Norwegian Wood in what was far from a close match as the 69s dominated throughout now standing four points away from second place.

Matchday 12
Maihar United 2–0 Regiis Dreamland
FC Maihar 1–0 Strange City FC
Halebid Warriors 1–0 San Pablo SC
Essidise Titans 0–1 Clube De Norwegian Wood
Other Side of Paradise 1–1 East Akusha CF
Vreton United 1–0 Real Pablo FC
Vreton City FC 5–0 Dreamland City
Space Coast Rockets 1–0 West Akusha CF
SC Lagos 3–0 Fermont United
AC Dason 0–3 FC 69 Norwegian Wood

From playing last the previous weekend, FC 69 Norwegian Wood now be playing first as they faced off against Maihar United. Continuing form from the previous weekend the 69s continued their form as they once again but on a show this time against Maihar United. With another win under their belt they rose to sixth position on the table as they were tied with Norwegian Wood on 22 points. Fermont United had not won a game for some time now as they were desperate for some points. But their game against AC Dason would not be able to provide them that as it ended in an underwhelming 1-1 draw. SC Lagos and West Akusha’s match that followed also ended in the exact same scoreline as both teams had to share points for that match as to the disappointment of West Akusha, their Akusha rivals were poised 5 points clear of them. The Rockets continued their climb with another win and another goal from Johnson securing their encounter against Dreamland City as the team which was second had now fallen to eighth. This more or less summed up how the TPL season had been so far, unpredictable and exciting. Vreton City’s winning run was brought to an end by Real Pablo FC as they managed to hold City to a one all draw with City still retaining a 6 goal lead over United.
United’s game against East Akusha went similarly to City’a draw against Real Pablo except that it had a goal more from each side. The game ended in a similar draw with the two sides from Vreton not taking up first and second position of the table as Coity had a six points gap too United. Other Side of Paradise had made their rise back to the top seem very smooth as they had now risen to 3rd place with another win. San Pablo got their second win of the season over the Titans. Strange City won against Halebid as they pushed on to try and make their way out of the depths. FC Maihar put up a stellar performance against Regiis making their way to 12th spot with twenty points in the season.

Matchday 13
FC 69 Norwegian Wood 3–1 Maihar United
Fermont United 1–1 AC Dason
West Akusha CF 1–1 SC Lagos

Dreamland City 0–1 Space Coast Rockets
Real Pablo FC 1–1 Vreton City FC
East Akusha CF 2–2 Vreton United
Clube De Norwegian Wood 0–1 Other Side of Paradise
San Pablo SC 1–0 Essidise Titans
Strange City FC 1–0 Halebid Warriors
Regiis Dreamland 0–1 FC Maihar

Matchday 14 would get off to a cracking start as Maihar on the coast of Bollonich would be electrified as United were hosting the other team. FC Maihar had narrowly been having the better season whoever United were eager to make up, and make up they did. The match was nothing short of a disaster for FC Maihar as it was unclear what had gone wrong. United came out with a 5-0 thrashing as home fans were pleased and both teams edged closer on the table. Two teams in the relegation zone and desperate to get out, Halebid and Regiis settled on a draw as the gap between the 17th and 16th team widened. Essidise Titans who’d been towards the bottom of the table for most of the season pulled out a stellar win against Strange City beginning a possible climb out of the relegation zone which didn’t seem likely at the moment. Other Side of Paradise marched on in their recovery as they picked up yet another win putting them in second place. The last match ended the day on a rather dull note as United and Norwegian Wood played out an unimpressive nil nil draw with no goals or chances.
Sunday begun with a huge upset as East Akusha surprisingly outplayed Vreton City with two crucial goals from Booth and Doctor two very young Bollonischian players. The Rockets climbed a few places with a close but much needed win against Real Pablo who had now fallen down to 12th place in this very up and down TPL season. But they were by no means out of the contest. SC Lagos came back strong from last weekend’s draw as they comfortably dispatched Dreamland City 3-0. Their last week’s opponents West Akusha suffered a thrashing at the hands of AC Dason who seemed to be regaining their old form as they put six in Cornwell’s goal. And that would lead us to the show of the weekend and despite it being a one sided match it was a show nonetheless. This came from ht once struggling side of 69 Norwegian Wood who had now risen to fourth place with a dominating performance against Fermont where they defeated them 6-1. City retained their lead following this loss however the lead had been shrunk to only 4 points as Paradise charged towards the top.

Matchday 14
Maihar United 5–0 FC Maihar
Halebid Warriors 0–0 Regiis Dreamland
Essidise Titans 4–1 Strange City FC
Other Side of Paradise 2–1 San Pablo SC

Vreton City FC 1–2 East Akusha CF
Space Coast Rockets 1–0 Real Pablo FC
SC Lagos 3–0 Dreamland City
AC Dason 6–0 West Akusha CF
FC 69 Norwegian Wood 6–1 Fermont United

We begun Saturday with what was an unfortunate result for the fans, but yet more crucial points for Maihar United as Fermont United were held up once again. Maihar United picked up an important point holding Fermont to a goalless draw. West Akusha coming off a real thrashing to AC Dason managed to retain their footing back in the TPL with a one all draw against the 69s as 69 Norwegian Wood had to fall back to fifth place now. AC Dason received a taste of their own medicine from Dreamland City, who’s striker Trentsaulx secured quite the hat-trick in the 4-1 victory over Dason. SC Lagos played into a frustration draw against Real Pablo as times seemed to be getting harder for the side based in Lagos whom had been written off in the beginning of the season. The Rockets had also done really well as they were now back into the top 4 with a win against East Akusha who’d fallen down to seventh place with 26 points.
Vreton City were a side who needed the win to hold onto their streak. And last weekend hadn’t been kind to them and neither would this one. Taking the lead initially through Schmit, Norwegian Wood soon struck back and they were incredibly successful too scoring two quick fire goals. This defeat greatly setback City as they were now only one point from being equal on points with Other side of Paradise who went on to win their latest match against Strange City later in the evening. United stayed in the fight for contention of a title spot with a strong display against San Pablo with goals from Griggs, Scrivens and Cummings, United slotted nicely into second spot being only a point behind Other side of Paradise and two points behind City. Regiis Dreamland and Essidise played out a rather mundane goalless draw in the bottom of the table as focus was firmly on the bottom of the table in the last few matches of matchday. Halebid Warriors who played FC Maihar desperately wanted a win as the climb out of the relegation zone would be hard. They begun that journey with a strong 1-0 victory over FC Maihar as the halfway point of the season edged ever so closer.

Season Part 4 - Matchday 16 to 20

As we edged closer to the winter break of the season teams’ were trying to get the best out of their remaining matches. Halebid Warriors who were once struggling in 20th had now won a few games, picked up some points and were fighting to get out of the relegation zone. In their latest victory they defeated a strong Maihar United side by two goals with crucial goals coming from Barale and Savage. Essidise Titans went up a place to 18th place with a tight win over FC Maihar as both sides from Maihar had suffered defeats to teams in the relegation zone. Other side of Paradise who played next managed to rack up five goals against Regiis showing no mercy as their charge for top spot carried on. Vreton United narrowly outplayed Strange City as Scrivens got on the scoresheet once again pushing towards that national team spot. City had to keep up with Other side of Paradise and threw it their all against San Pablo to keep up pace with Paradise. And the result was complete destruction for San Pablo as they were thrashed 6-0 with goals from Schmit, Brehaut and Rios.
The Rockets started their Sunday in spectacular fashion with q comfortable two goal victory over Norwegian Wood. SC Lagos took three points at home defeating East Akusha who had now fallen down to 8th place. The match between AC Dason and Real Pablo FC that was to come despite not being hotly anticipated it didn’t fail to deliver in the slightest. Both teams fought it out for ever so important points as both teams were tied on points going into this encounter. After 90 minutes and 6 goals in total the match had ended in a 3-3 draw as it was a thrilling encounter which had gotten fans very excited for what was to come. In this season of the TPL we had already seen some big thrashings and on Matchday 16 itself we saw the two main title contenders bash lower opponents who were in the relegation zone. 69 Norwegian Wood kept this up as they scored 7 goals, yes seven against Dreamland City who just managed to put a measly goal in the net of the 69s. Huh, I remember something like this happening on RL States. Anyway moving on, West Akusha mustered up all their courage as they were facing what had been dubbed the dream team of the TPL, who hadn’t had the best showing yet. West Akusha piled onto this with a good performance against them with a good comeback in the second half.

Matchday 16
Maihar United 0–2 Halebid Warriors
Essidise Titans 2–1 FC Maihar
Other Side of Paradise 5–1 Regiis Dreamland
Vreton United 1–0 Strange City FC
Vreton City FC 6–0 San Pablo SC
Space Coast Rockets 2–0 Clube De Norwegian Wood
SC Lagos 1–0 East Akusha CF
AC Dason 3–3 Real Pablo FC
FC 69 Norwegian Wood 7–1 Dreamland City
Fermont United 1–3 West Akusha CF

West Akusha were looking to continue their run of good form following their victory over Fermont. Maihar United meanwhile were looking to bounce back from a difficult loss to Halebid Warriors. Maihar United got off to a better start with a good goal and control over the game in the early stages. West Akusha weren’t far behind as they soon came back to equalise with Wheelock getting on the scoresheet. The scores remained the same for the rest of the game as it ended in a draw with both teams picking up a point each. Fermont United and Dreamland City were both teams who were looking to regain their footing back in the TPL following some bad results recently but similarly to the Dason and Real Pablo 3-3 draw this game also was an incredibly thrilling encounter ending with the same scoreline. Real Pablo bounced back in supreme fashion with a brilliant 4 goal victory over the 69s who looked to be getting a break were pulled back down once again. East Akusha scored three vital points in a comfortable two nil victory over a struggling AC Dason side. Rounding up the day was a surprising but entertaining victory for Norwegian Wood over SC Lagos who were now 5 points of 4th place in 8th place.
San Pablo SC’s second season in the TPL kept getting worse as out off 17 games, they had now lost 13 following their latest loss to the Rocketrs who were now in fourth place. Vreton City failed to keep up with Paradise as they dropped points once again, opening the door for Other side of Paradise to take the lead. Vreton City were held to an underwhelming draw for them against Strange City who were just above 17th place very much in a relegation battle. Vreton United, City’s neighbours seized this opportunity defeating Regiis and equalising City on points as the battle for the lead had been torn wide open. Other side of Paradise won in similar fashion to United over FC Maihar taking top spot of the TPL with a brilliant recovery following a woeful start to the season. The day was rounded up with another entertaining and fabulous display of skill from Halebid Warriors who were once does last were now fighting to get out of the relegation zone. They defeated Essidise Titans, the team in 18th 5-2 with a good show from their players as them getting out of the relegation zone seemed inevitable.

Matchday 17
West Akusha CF 1–1 Maihar United
Dreamland City 3–3 Fermont United

Real Pablo FC 4–0 FC 69 Norwegian Wood
East Akusha CF 2–0 AC Dason
Clube De Norwegian Wood 1–0 SC Lagos
San Pablo SC 0–1 Space Coast Rockets
Strange City FC 2–2 Vreton City FC
Regiis Dreamland 0–1 Vreton United
FC Maihar 0–1 Other Side of Paradise
Halebid Warriors 5–2 Essidise Titans

Maihar United followed up their draw against West Akusha with yet another draw as Essidise Titans remained above Regiis picking up another point. Maihar United were now in 15th place dangerously close to the drop zone where they absolutely wouldn’t want to be. Other Side of Paradise were relentless as having taken over first place they still didn’t let go as they continued to pressurise City recording victory after victory. This time it was Halebid Warriors who fell into their trap as Other Side of Paradise had now passed City on goal difference equaling the number of goal scored by City for the highest in the league. Vreton United were shell shocked by FC Maihar who’s season in the TPL kept getting better as they defeated United one of the best teams’ in Bollonich. Gia Knott had been relentless throughout the season scoring 7 of FC Maihar’s goals. Vreton City had put in more effort than the would’ve wanted against Regiis only managing to take the lead in the 76th minute through Rios as they held onto the one nil lead. City were still behind Paradise as catching up and keeping up with them seemed to be getting harder as the season progressed. The Rockets finished the day on a happy note for them with a win over Strange City which gave them 3rd place on the league following United’s surprising loss to FC Maihar.
As match days progressed it was clear to us that San Pablo SC deserved no place in the TPL as they had failed to reach double figures on points by matchday 18 having lost once again, this time to Lorfian club SC Lagos whoo ere inches away from making their entry into the top 4. AC Dason finally won a game following a very bad run of form defeating Norwegian Wood a team which had been on some good form. The 69s also held onto fifth place with a good victory over East Akusha who were now down in 8th place only 5 points off the top 4 which were the positions being eyed by most clubs in the upper half of the table. Fermont United meanwhile were struggling to even get into the top half as their star studded line up was having extreme difficulty undergoing a trashing from Real Pablo, Real Pablo of all teams. Real Pablo’s young right winger Tamni Graves and Mcarthur City starter’s brother Noah Huxley were both on the scoresheet in Real Pablo’s incredibly victory. Finishing off another interesting TPL weekend was West Akusha as they cofmfortable dispatched of Dreamland City who were once second on the table had now fallen to 12th.

Matchday 18
Maihar United 1–1 Essidise Titans
Other Side of Paradise 4–0 Halebid Warriors
Vreton United 1–2 FC Maihar
Vreton City FC 1–0 Regiis Dreamland
Space Coast Rockets 1–0 Strange City FC
SC Lagos 1–0 San Pablo SC
AC Dason 2–0 Clube De Norwegian Wood
FC 69 Norwegian Wood 2–0 East Akusha CF
Fermont United 0–5 Real Pablo FC
West Akusha CF 2–0 Dreamland City

This was the halfway point of the league, the table and positions would start to shape up as teams would be looking to improve following the winter break. Dreamland City started the weekend before the winter break in fabulous fashion as they showed to Maihar United that they aren’t a team to be taken lightly. Dreamland City put 7 goals in Henderson’s net important contributions from Han Zexian and Onfroy. West Akusha climbed to 7th place following a good victory over Real Pablo FC in a tight encounter scoring three crucial points for them. Fermont United’s struggles were not unknown to us. And going into the winter break they were looking to improve on this, and improve they did. In a tough encounter against East Akusha they managed to pull out the big guns out of their pockets taking a crucial 2-1 win over their Akushan opposition. FC 69 Norwegian Wood stepped up in the Norwegian Wood derby as the sides clashed in an ever epic encounter. The 69s initially took the lead with Norwegian Wood fighting back but it was in vain as they failed to grab a single point from the encounter. San Pablo SC are a team who will need to look hard at what they have been doing and figure out a way to improve on that as they suffered yet another defeat. Sitting at only 8 points from 19 games they are easily the worst team in the TPL.
SC Lagos started their Sunday well with a good one goal victory over Strange City, once again showing their strength and that they were here to compete for those IFCF spots. Regiis Dreamland at the bottom of the pack sprung a surprise on The Rockets, running a very defensive formation and focusing on the counter attack. This allowed them to keep a clean sheet as well as score the lone goal of the match securing a win which propelled them to 18th place for now. FC Maihar seemed invincible as they made City drop points holding onto a draw. City fell further behind Paradise as their charge continued. Halebid Warriors seemed to have been reborn recently as they piled onto Vreton United’s pain with a tremendous 2-1 victory over them as United fell to 5th place out of the IFCF spots. Halebid Warriors were now out of the relegation zone with that victory as Strange City were propelled down following their loss. Other Side of Paradise wrapped up the first half of the league and headed into the winter break on top with a 3 point gap between themselves and City following a 3-1 victory over The Titans who had now fallen down to 19th place.

Matchday 19
Dreamland City 7–0 Maihar United
Real Pablo FC 1–2 West Akusha CF
East Akusha CF 1–2 Fermont United
Clube De Norwegian Wood 2–4 FC 69 Norwegian Wood
San Pablo SC 0–1 AC Dason
Strange City FC 0–1 SC Lagos
Regiis Dreamland 1–0 Space Coast Rockets
FC Maihar 1–1 Vreton City FC
Halebid Warriors 2–1 Vreton United
Essidise Titans 1–3 Other Side of Paradise

This would be the much awaited restart of the TPL following a winter break everyone was eager to finish. Maihar United got off to a flying start taking on the team to beat. Other side of Paradise coming from the Winter Break didn’t look in the best of form as they struggled to get any sort of rhythm going unlike Maihar United who executed their plans to perfection. This victory was a crucial one for the title fight as it gave City a chance to immediately equal Paradise on points. And Vreton City did exactly that in their victory over Halebid Warriors which again pushed them down to 17th place and in the drop zone. Vreton United very similarly to Other side of Paradise were shell shocked having succumbed to a difficult defeat at the hands of Essidise Titans. The Titans had been struggling for the entirety of their first season in the TPL, scored a much needed victory which would not only give them confidence but also the spirit to carry on. FC Maihar Tok a great victory over the Rockets as op teams had clearly failed to get back into their groove following the break which some of the lower ranked sides took advantage of. One team which couldn’t take the advantage or were not allowed to take advantage of it was Regiis Dreamland who failed to score any points against SC Lagos who held third place in the TPL table as the top two were slightly pulling away from the rest of the competition.
Strange City caught out AC Dason with two early goals, however AC Dason we’re not ready to back down. They attacked Strange City who failed to defend their two goal lead eventually resulting in a very competitive draw. San Pablo SC came back into the TPL following the winter break rejuvenated picking up an ever important draw denying The 69s crucial points. Fermont United came from the winter break on hot form with a good victory over Norwegian Wood showing that they could do it in the second half of the season. East Akusha had a good start to the second half of the season with a fabulous victory in the second Akushan derby of the season. Real Pablo finished the first match day following the break with a great two goal victory over Dreamland City who were now in 13th place.

Matchday 20
Maihar United 3–1 Other Side of Paradise
Essidise Titans 4–1 Vreton United
Halebid Warriors 1–2 Vreton City FC
FC Maihar 1–0 Space Coast Rockets
Regiis Dreamland 0–1 SC Lagos
Strange City FC 2–2 AC Dason
San Pablo SC 1–1 FC 69 Norwegian Wood

Clube De Norwegian Wood 1–3 Fermont United
East Akusha CF 2–0 West Akusha CF
Real Pablo FC 2–0 Dreamland City

Past Performance
In the first ever Bollonischian Handball Cup the Akusha Rovers were that team who were continuously unlucky. We had seen this in their defeats to Vreton Bulls as well as Kings of Fermont. They just couldn’t get a break suffering the most painful defeats. They bounced back against the Lagos Yetis pulling something similar and from that point on they made a recovery but it was too little too late as they finished the season on six points, in fifth place just not making the playoffs. Last season had been a difficult one for the Rovers as they struggled a fair bit especially in the beginning of the season.

Player Watch
The Rovers definitely have some key players to watch, from captain Reggie Mutton to Arden talent Kate Armason. Captain Reggie Mutton is coming off a fabulous Olympic campaign winning the Olympics gold. This was a huge achievement for him as he was closely approaching the time he had to leave the sport. The 37 year old player will be looking to make the most of the remaining time that he has at both the club and national level. On the other side is a young player from a nation who’ve just made their appearance on the international stage. Ardengard’s team started the Handball World Cup with a bang as Kate put up some good shows. She’ll be looking to better her game as well as play in a competitive atmosphere.

Expectations
Akusha Rovers are not the best team in the Bollonischian Handball League and never were. Akusha Rovers will be trying to get into the playoffs and a place in the World Club Handball Championship which is the elite competition for Handball teams. The Rovers getting a good start to the season will attempt to try to do what they did towards the tail end of last season.

Past Performance
The Karvian Tigers had had a wonderfully successful first season. The started off the season very strongly and continued in that fashion slipping up only twice throughout the league season. They finished second losing out on first place on goal difference which went to the Kings of Fermont. In the playoffs they faced they narrowly defeated the Knights as they were now up against Fermont in the first ever final of the Bollonischian Handball Cup. The match was tied after normal time as it headed to extra time where it was the Tigers who eventually came out on top following a brutal game as they had won the first ever Handball Cup.

Player Watch
The Karvian Tigers made some very key foreign acquisitions to help them while also holding onto some of the best Bollonischians in their side. Frans Mikesson would be making the journey over the border from Græntfjall to the city of Karvia. Frans will be an important player for The Tiger providing solidity to their defense and help improve their chances going into the new season aiming to repeat their heroics.
Mark Eller very similarly to Mikesson is a very young player, from Quebec and Shingoryeo another handball powerhouse. Mark will be looking to make an impact on the the side towards the offense as the Tigers shall be major contenders for the title in the upcoming season.

Expectations
All fans of the Tigers would like them to repeat the heroics of last season and they honestly have a chance going into this season as their team looks stronger than ever with the signings of Mikesson and Eller. They will be expecting to comfortably make the WCHC having been a dominating force in the league if they manage to carry over their form which they showed previously.

Madalyn Quincey P 24 BOL
Fay Statham P 26 BOL
Maria Fury RW 28 ARG
Felicia Ibbott RW 19 BOL

Past Performance
The Kings were one of the strongest outfits heading into the Handball Cup. It was uncharted territories for these new teams, and the Kings had done a brilliant job securing some of the biggest talents. And this paid dividend throughout the season as their team performed brilliantly in the season fixtures making the playoffs sitting in first place. They were serious title competitors as they finished above rivals Karvian Tigers on goal difference. In the playoffs they won their semifinal before going onto narrowly lose to the Tigers in the final in extra time.

Player Watch
Kings of Fermont had an incredibly strong side which took them to the first Handball Cup final. This team had been made even stronger with signings of Montessini and Maria Fury. Montessini was a player of the Juvencus side who have had a bashing run in the Handball World Cup as they currently hold perfect form in the competition. Maria Fury is a handball player from neighbours Ardengard who are also making their first steps in the HWC looking to make a name for themselves. Jeanna Waldroup in left back is also a crucial player for the side as she is solid in defense and is also responsible for the creation of very dangerous attacks up front.

Expectations
The Kings and Tigers are by far the strongest teams in the league. And similarly to the Tigers the fans of the Kings of Fermont will be expecting and hoping for their side to definitely be in the top 4 and at least compete in the WCHC. They will be hoping to make the playoffs once again and possibly put up another title challenge. They will try to remain in the strong position they were last season and the more important question is whether the incoming signings will be able to do what they have been bought to do.

Lagos Yetis
Manager - Gayle Wilbur (43)
Stadium - Lagos District Stadium (cap. 4,500)

Foreign Acquisitions
Karsten Kjartansson (31) of Græntfjall
Alfan-Trenj Tla (35) of Qusmo

Squad

Marietta Johns LW 26 BOL
Kennith Lewis LW 19 BOL
Alfan-Trenj Tla P 35 QUS
Celeste Stevenson P 32 BOL
Marianne Sieloff RW 28 QUE
Jasper Peterson RW 26 BOL

Past Performance
The Yetis were looking as a team who could contest for a position in the middle of the table. The season however didn’t go how they would’ve hoped. They only managed one measly victory through out the season suffering defeats in all of their first six matches in the Handball Cup. They managed to win their last win against Vreton Bulls getting them their first and only win in the Bollonischian Handball Cup.

Player Watch
Following a very disappointing season, the Yetis made three foreign signings in the break. Karsten who’s currently part of Græntfjall’s national side will help solidify a rather wobbly defense. The signings of Tla and Sieloff will give the attacking part of theteam lots of firepower. Much needed firepower to have a better second season in the competition. Signing of Qusmi Alfen-Trenj will also be interesting to see as they are a player from a nation they haven’t made headway into the Handball World Cup.

Expectations
The Yetis will mainly try to have a better season than they had last time around. The Yetis will be hoping to finish somewhere in the middle of the table and maybe even try to sneak into the top 4 with the WCHC. This could be possible especially giving the signings of some strong players who could made a drastic change in the standings.

Past Performance
The Maihar Lions come into this season of the Bollonischian Handball League as one of the new franchises. Maihar Lions having been formed following the initial season will be participating in the first ever Bollonischian Handball League similarly to San Pablo Rockers who will take up the numbers from 8 to 10.

Player Watch
The newly formed Lions have a banging squad with good young players as well as experienced players to guide them. Marc Brinkman who’s been signed from Brookstation will help solidify the position of the goalkeeper bringing in that X-factor and also holds the high regard of being a quality international player. Ingvar Scott the left back played a crucial role in Bollonich’s Olympic gold winning campaign serving as back up for captain Reggie Mutton often taking on his role in the team. Amber James of Sylestone is also an interesting signing in the forward position as the Sylestonian National Team have been more than successful with him. These players form the heart of the team which looks very strong and could fight the others for a WCHC spot.

Expectations
The Maihar Lions being a new franchise have no experience in the competition however they contain a very talented squad who can definitely make the best of the opportunities presented to them as the squad contained some of the best players in Bollonich and across the multiverse. Maihar Lions like most of the sides hold a more than fair chance to make the WCHC which will be the main goal of most of the sides.

The Maihar Knights team was rebranded following their first season into the Maihar Warriors for the first ever BHL following their first BHC. Their first season was one of major success finishing in the playoff positions very comfortably and making the playoffs. Things however got tight following their league season as their encounter against the Tigers was supremely close. Both teams gave it their all with the Tigers emerging on top by a measly goal.

Player Watch
The rebranded Warriors were coming into the season with very few new signings. They had managed to secure the signature of young Sylestonean Younger who will be serving as their right back for the season. Younger is the only foreign signing for the Warriors however their list of good players don’t end there. Smith Hampson and Jewel are a very impressive attacking duo which will serve the Warriors with lots of goals for their defense to work with as they shall be gunning to repeat the heroics of last season. Lovell Ayers is a very solid centreback of Bollonich’s side who will be key to the Warriors keeping their opponent’s goal count to a reasonable number as there seems to be no reason why this team cannot repeat what they did last time around.

Expectations
The Maihar Warriors have set the bar so high that the pressure seems to already be submerging them. But whether they can come out o this pressure on top or drown in it is yet to be seen. But what we can say with certainty is that this Warriors side is highly talented and a WCHC spot should be considered the minimum as gunning for the title could be possible as well.

Past Performance
The Frogs started off previous season in despondent fashion suffering a heavy defeat to the Kings, however they soon made a comeback in the very next match against the Yetis winning that encounter. Wins were hard to come by for the Frogs from that point on as they were struggling a fair bit only managing to put a halt on their losing streak on Matchday 6. The last season wasn’t the best one for the Frogs as they struggled to get many points on the board across the seven matches managing two wins a tie on the final match day.

Player Watch
Things have drastically changed since two years ago as the league has undergone a major revamp and along with that has come the smell of new signings and players. Maria Sigurdsson of Quebec and Shingoryeo is an interesting prospect for the side as she comes in from a nation who’s well renowned for their hand balling prowess and she has shown the same in her outings with the national tram. Her signing is an interesting event for the side as she comes into the team with lots of potential to deliver. Sharlene Yap is another exciting prospect for the side as show took part in the Olympics with the Womens’ side showing her talent. She is a young Bollonischian who’ll be eager and hungry to prove themselves.

Expectations
Despite the Frogs having multiple exciting players the truth is rather grim. The team is currently not in the shape they would want to be as other teams have moved far ahead with them still lagging behind. Developments made by other teams haven’t reached them yet as they also lost out on a key player, Smith Hampson. Expectations going into the next season should be for them to finish in the bottom half of the table with anything more than that extremely unlikely for which a miracle would need to take place.

Past Performance
The Rockers similarly to the Lions are a new franchise who shall be joining the Bollonischian Handball League from the first season and hence don’t have any prior experience. The players however are greatly experienced on the domestic as well as international level.

Player Watch
The Rockers managed to secure the much sought after signing of Brook right back Van Der Boon, a young talented player who’s arrival in the Bollonischian Handball League will definitely help propel the young players forward. He will also be a stable unit in the side going forward and backwards providing some solidity to the line up. They also have some very talented Bollonischians among their ranks in the form of young guns Tibby Weaver and Marlene Newton, both of whom will be important players in the following season needing to play their part as always like every other player.

Expectations
The Rockers come into this season as a fresh face to the league, and with the state of their team we could see big things and good performances but our expectations should definitely be low. Comparing the summer they had to the other teams they definitely have a bit less quality than some of the top sides so it should be reasonable for them to have a good mid table run however we should not rule out the underdogs defying our expectations.

Past Performance
Torrijas Wizards were a side that came into the tournament with a nice surprise for all of us. We expected them to be competitive but they managed to stay toe to toe with some of the biggest teams. Their initial two games were disappointing as they suffered losses to the Karvian Tigers and the Kings of Fermont. They however bounced back in top form winning 4 out of their next five games comfortably making it through to the playoffs. This season they had already outperformed their expectations so the playoffs were only an opportunity to prove themselves further. They were up against the Kings, against whom they suffered a tight defeat bringing an end to a very promising season for the side.

Player Watch
The Wizards already had some of Bollonich’s most talented players, one of them being Brianna Tailor the right back who had made a lot of headway into the national team cementing her as the starter for the upcoming Handball World Cup. They also secured signings of foreigners such as Charles Bailey from Ardengard who is a strong left winger capable of creating havoc down the flank. Clarebert of Juvencus is another strong player in the side who is currently at the peak of their powers capable of dominating entire matches by himself. These players will greatly help in providing Torrijas Wizards that finishing edge in their match making them much more deadly on the front foot.

Expectations
The Wizards outperformed expectations last season especially given their poor start top the season so it won’t be wrong to say that they might do the same once again. Their side looks strong with signings of good talented foreign players and also the fact that they managed to retain some of the better Bollonischian players shows that they players have faith in the project, especially some of the more senior players. We wouldn’t count them out at having an outside chance at the playoffs with a mid table finish certainly being on the agenda.

Past Performance
The Vreton Bulls were one of the favourites going into the Handball Cup. The season however didn’t pan out like they would’ve hoped as the entirety of the team struggled throughout losing more than half of their games. They started the tournament really well winning 3 of their 4 matches as they looked set to make the playoffs however a sudden drop off in form was unexpected from them. They then went on to lose their next three matches finishing on 6 points and in 6th position. The season which was going well had suddenly disappeared from their hands as they couldn’t fathom how that happened. Last season had overall been a disaster for the Bulls.

Player Watch
Following the disaster that was last season the Bulls lost out on some very important and high quality players, however they held onto national team players such as Bridges and Adair who’ll be crucial if the Bulls are to have a better second season. They also secured the signing of a young right winger from Juvencus, Michelangelo. He shall be a player to watch out for and mainly a banking on a player with a very bright future who will surely pay dividend to the sum dished out for them. Mattar on the other hand is an experienced Brook left winger who is again a key signing in improving the side that struggled a lot in the past season.

Expectations
Fans will not be expecting as much as they did last time from Vreton Bulls having been let down. This can result in the Bulls acting as a dark horse in the league and often being the underdogs heading into big matches which they weren’t last time around. Their team despite having gone some changes has improved if not anything else. This status of underdog has often seen teams come out on top and prove others wrong. And this will be real possibility with the Bulls this season as no one is completely sure how they’ll perform. The team themselves however should be looking to aim for the playoffs and compete against some of the bigger sides.

Bollonischian Handball League - Season

This moment was hugely anticipated by all of the multiverse. The sport of handball had recently seen a huge rise in popularity with the Handball World Cup becoming a regular fixture on the calendars of the teams. And now with the return of the World Club Handball Championship, the Bollonischian Handball League was going to rise even more in prominence. And the beginning of this engaging handball league was now greatly anticipated not only by Bollonischians but also citizens of other nations players of whom had signed on to play in BHL teams. There was no doubt this was not only going to be a huge success for handball as a sport but the commercial importance of the league was huge as well with prominent companies both international and Bollonischian making huge investments. Athloom is one such Ardengardian company who have provided with all the kits of the league. Maihar Lions and the Vreton Bulls played out the season opener. The Bulls and the Lions had very competitive sides as two Brook players were up against each other, Bart Mattar for the Bulls and Brinkman for the Lions. It was a hotly anticipated duel with the Bulls holding onto a solid lead coming out on top. Kate Armason the young Ardengardian was leading the Rovers side, most of their hopes rested on her shoulders. This was an immense amount of pressure to put on a young player with very little experience. They were up against the Warriors who also had a strong side. This game was very much the battle between the right backs as Kate Armason the Arden player faced off against Jonathan Younger the Sylestonean. Kate’s career in the Bollonischian Handball League got off to a rather weak start struggling against the Lions as the Lions took the win on this occasion. The Yetis powered on with a good win over the much weaker Wizards as the Yetis look strong to make a good comeback this season. The Tigers and the Kings the two favourites were shocked as they succumbed to defeats at the hands of the Frogs and Rockers.

Matchday 1
Maihar Lions 22–24 Vreton Bulls
Maihar Warriors 29–25 Akusha Rovers
Lagos Yetis 30–21 Torrijas Wizards
Marda Frogs 32–30 Karvian Tigers
Kings of Fermont 27–30 San Pablo Rockers

Matchday 1 is very much the time teams are still getting used to the conditions and especially following the long break between the seasons. The players too are coming into completely new outfits having played for the national squads for so long. It was clear some teams were still unsettled on match day one with two title favourites struggling on their opening outings. Matchday 2 again started with another fabulous encounter with the Bulls facing off against the Rockers. This match truly displayed the defensive solidity of the Bulls squad as they kept strong at the back. But so did the Rockers, and Brook player Der Boon played a massive role in this, greatly assisting a rather underprepared defensive structure. The match ended with both teams eventually managing to hold on, as the exciting match played into a rather unimpressive draw. The next match however was gonna be a crucial game for the Championship. Last time’s finalists faced each other in what was a hotly anticipated encounter at the Karvia Indoor Stadium. The match would not only serve as a platform for one team to get a foot over the other, but also following both teams losing on matchday 1 getting a victory here was even more important. The Tigers started the game with the all Bollonischian front three looking rather deadly with ample support from Ellery, Mikesson and Walsh in defense. The Kings however struck back with the beginning of the second half, as Maria Fury truly showed her metal. The Kings made a comeback closing the deficit by a fair margin however the Tigers were the ones who were just one inch in front of them, taking the win by the difference of just one goal which could’ve been easily won back in few extra seconds. The Wizards were a side, some people wrote off before the season even started and their loss on matchday 1 by that big a deficit showed signs of cracks in their structure. Writing them off however was clearly a mistake as they came back much stronger against the Frogs using that frustration of being written off in the game. They kept their foot in at all times making the right decisions when needed earning them a much deserved victory against the Frogs. Matchday 2 was packed with action as it also featured an anticipated Maihar Derby. The Lions who were clearly the stronger team coming into the season managed a relatively unchallenged victory over their neighbours. The Rovers also ran riot in their contest against the Yetis firmly asserting their dominance.

Matchday 2
Vreton Bulls 25–25 San Pablo Rockers
Karvian Tigers 24–23 Kings of Fermont
Torrijas Wizards 30–29 Marda Frogs
Akusha Rovers 34–24 Lagos Yetis
Maihar Lions 28–23 Maihar Warriors

The season is a long process and just a few matches in, things were starting to heat up. Teams were playing tight contests as all points were going to be crucial from this point on. The Bulls were once again playing the first match of the week. They were up against a good Maihar Warriors side who were coming off a rather close and tough defeat at the hands of neighbours Maihar Lions. Playing at home the onus was on them to prove that they were the strong team everyone saw them to be. The nature of the BHL is such that most if not all teams are on basically equal footing so predicting how a team will perform before a good chunk of the season has passed is basically impossible. The Warriors appeared to be kicking ass with their matchday 1 victory however things turned sour soon as they didn’t only lose the derby to the Lions but also suffered a beating at the hands of the Bulls and despite the scoreline not exactly reflecting the nature and brutality of the game. Their neighbours, the Lions faced off against a rejuvenated Yetis side who had made some smart signings in the summer making them one of the best sides in the league from dead last in the previous season. The game was off to a good start for the Yetis as Sieloff and Tea looked absolutely deadly up front and it was evidently clear that the Lions were in trouble. They attempted to make the smallest of comebacks but such attempts were clearly in vain as the Yetis held onto their lead and rose to fourth position with 4 points from 3 games. The Rovers who were looking strong challengers following the disappointment of the previous season. Playing the Frogs who were not the strongest of opponents, it was evident that the Rovers would be the favourites. And the favourites delivered once again scoring lots of goals, this was an embarrassing display from the Frogs who just showed how much they are off the level of some of the teams. The Kings of Fermont bounced back in strong fashion following two difficult losses as they scored some crucial points against The Wizards. The Tigers too followed suit with their title rivals defeating the Rockers as they rose to third on the table.

Matchday 3
Maihar Warriors 19–23 Vreton Bulls
Lagos Yetis 28–24 Maihar Lions
Marda Frogs 23–31 Akusha Rovers
Kings of Fermont 29–21 Torrijas Wizards
San Pablo Rockers 26–30 Karvian Tigers

As we moved deeper and deeper into the season, the teams were starting to get into their groove. And a matchday 4 encounter between The Tigers and the Bulls would be crucial to any sort of title fight for these teams. Both sides were very strong, having made important foreign signings. The teams were so much on equal footing that it made this encounter even more exciting. The Vreton Bulls were at home, and having the support of the home fans was a major boost for them. Both teams were going toe to toe for the entire encounter, as no team was being able to run away with it. Going into the half time the scores were tied and it was clear to both managerial bodies that they needed to surprise their opponent. The Tigers made a surprising change, bringing off Maxwell Shirley a national team starter and put on the young Hannah Tyson. Shirley was not pleased in the slightest however Jenson knew what he was doing. The Tigers emerged out of this tight encounter with a small one goal victory as the substitution payed off massively as Tyson was involved in lots of offensive build up and even supported the defence. The Rockers rose a few positions with their victory over the Wizards asserting their strength and showing us that they do have what’s required to compete. The Rovers were faced with a tough task against the Kings, who had suffered a few setbacks going into the season were coming back stronger. And the Rovers had to be wary of this, as slipping up would not be an option in their own goal of achieving qualification for the WCHC. The Kings however were having none of this as they went on what could be right attributed as a rampage defeating the Rovers as they suffered yet another setback. Lagos Yetis were a side who had risen from uncompetitiveness within the time of one season to the another. They showed this once again as they defeated the Maihar Warriors, putting them on first place on the table. They are tied on points with the Karvian Tigers as the league is essentially very close the difference between the last and first team being 4 points. And in the last match of the weekend the Lions lost out to the Frogs very similarly to the performance put up by their neighbours.

Matchday 4
Vreton Bulls 29–30 Karvian Tigers
Torrijas Wizards 26–29 San Pablo Rockers
Akusha Rovers 24–27 Kings of Fermont
Maihar Lions 23–28 Marda Frogs
Maihar Warriors 23–29 Lagos Yetis

The Lagos Yetis would bee going toe to toe against the Bulls. This was an important match for both teams, as the Yetis would be looking to hold onto their strong position while the Bulls will be attempting to recover from their tight defeat to the Tigers. The Bulls were confident but so were the Yetis and this was not going to be an easy match from any stretch of the word. The Bulls however did start the match more positively. The Yetis seemed to be more focused on preventing conceding while not focusing on scoring themselves. This just made them soak pressure more and more, and having such an inexperienced team meant that this pressure inevitably overflowed. The Yetis struggle to manage the huge amount of pressure and eventually had to give in. Their loss was mainly attributed to the game plan along with the negative attitude with which they approached the game showing that they didn’t have everything figured out yet. The Maihar Lions were up against a rising Kings of Fermont size, as they were looking to climb the order. The Lions however were not gonna get steamrolled over and would definitely put up a fight. It was in their ethos, putting up a fight is what they did. They put up a fight in this occasion too and a good fight it was. They managed to not only compete with the title favourites but also caused a huge upset defeating them by a margin of 5 goals. The season so far hasn’t been the one the Kings would be hoping for as they have not only dropped a lot of points but they are struggling in 7th. Their direct rivals, the Karvian Tigers were however having a much better season as they were not only first but had lost only match and were on a four game winning streak having defeated the Wizards now. The Rovers too were on top form with a strong victory over the Rockers, as they continued to yo-yo about the standings in what was turning out to be an absolutely thrilling season of the BHL.

Matchday 5
Lagos Yetis 25–31 Vreton Bulls
Marda Frogs 27–22 Maihar Warriors
Kings of Fermont 27–32 Maihar Lions
San Pablo Rockers 29–32 Akusha Rovers
Karvian Tigers 25–24 Torrijas Wizards

The Bulls carried their red hot form into their next match against the Wizards, and the Wizards had been struggling for the entirety of the season so nothing short of a win was expected from the Bulls. The Bulls however were not on the correct side of the result this time as they suffered a shocking defeat to The Wizards. The Wizards, a team that had been dawdling at the back of the pecking order. The Bulls started off the game well however they soon lost the upper hand as mistakes started to creep into their game and their defensive structure. Bridges the Bulls keeper, played a rather uncharacteristic game that she’ll want to forget having made an unrealistically high amount of mistakes. This loss put the Bulls in hot water in the table as the Rovers, Lions and Frogs are dangerously close to them. The Karvian Tigers knew this would be their chance to pull ahead of the Bulls whom had been their only competitors so far with the Kings of Fermont struggling. The Tigers however were up against a strong side in the Rovers, a team being led by the young Kate Armason. The Rovers would never give up and Jenson knew this. Loyd devised a dangerously effective plan which allowed the championship contending side of the Karvian Tigers to completely decimate their opponents in a 12 goal differential thrashing. The match being played at home in Akusha would’ve hurt more for them as the fans would go home disappointed and slightly ashamed at this embarrassing display. The Yetis climbed into second place with a comfortable win over the Frogs following the slip up from The Bulls. This now meant the Tigers were two points clear of any other team below them as they could finally have some room to breathe. The Tigers had really bounced back following their match day 1 defeat. The Yetis however have pulled an even more commendable comeback following their disappointing and overall horrifying performance last season. The Maihar Lions positioned themselves in fourth position with a win over the Rockers as they were now in striking distance of the Bulls. Their neighbours the Warriors pulled another upset over the Kings. The performance of the Kings has reached such a point that it might not even be completely accurate to call their losses upsets as it seems to be becoming the norm. The Kings are now in 8th position following another loss which just makes it harder for them to recover from such a difficult situation.

Matchday 6
Vreton Bulls 24–26 Torrijas Wizards
Akusha Rovers 17–29 Karvian Tigers
Maihar Lions 27–21 San Pablo Rockers
Maihar Warriors 29–28 Kings of Fermont
Lagos Yetis 32–27 Marda Frogs

Bollonischian Volleyball League

Volleyball is a sport that’s rapidly growing in stature in Bollonich. With international and domestic success, people have received more exposure to volleyball which has naturally resulted in a rise of popularity. With the hosting of the 13th Volleyball World Expo right here in Bollonich, TV viewership for volleyball games and tickets for the same have skyrocketed. The Bollonischian Volleyball League due to how its structured is often very difficult to predict. There are some consistently top tier teams, however with how fierce competition is, qualification to international competitions is no guarantee. Volleyball players in stature earn similarly to Handball players as the development and rise of these two sports has been closely linked to each other. In the BVL’s one season long history we saw a rather commanding performance from Vreton Bulls as they looked rather unchallenged at the top. Joining them in the VCL spots was the Karvian Tigers who were very much under threat from the Akusha Rovers and San Pablo Rockers who were just one win away from securing an equal number of wins. The other sides were as well not too far away. This doesn’t give us a conclusive image of what to expect due to the youth and foreign influx of players in the BVL. While these franchises themselves don’t have youth systems, they are known to systematically pick up players from youth clubs to play at the highest level. Bollonischian Volleyball, before the formation of the BVL and the Union was a very disorganised sport with mostly amateur teams. Teams based mainly regionally whose main focus was on keeping themselves afloat. These clubs however were some of the best youth systems in the entire sport in Bollonich and are naturally the largest sellers to the BVL.

The league was recently opened up to foreign investments following the success of the national team and the clubs at the international stage. The inclusion of foreign internationals will not only further the brand of the Bollonischian Volleyball League and its teams and owner which is the main goal of its investors, it will also serve as a magnet attracting attention from all over the multiverse meaning lucrative TV deals and coverage. Such moves will not only improve the financial position of the league but also put Bollonischian teams in strong positions to compete for international domestic titles such as the BVL. A perfect example of this is the signing of Quebecois wonder kid Jin Chang-Wook. Chang-Wook is a young Quebecois setter we’ve all come to know from the tight and entertaining matches that our very own side had against the Quebecois national team in the World League final and the Olympics semifinals. Jin Chang-Wook was not only featured both of those games for the Quebecois but greatly stood out for a young player amongst some of our most experienced and talented players. As soon as he made it clear he would be looking for a team to go to, it was no surprise that teams grovelling at his feet. They knew the talent this one player possessed and how much of a difference it could make for their teams. Even Bollonischian teams rightfully expressed interest as currently Bollonich stands out as among some of the best destinations for male volleyball players. Vreton Bulls was naturally the best choice for Chang-Wook as apart from all the other reasons to join the Bulls, they are a championship contending team. A team that’s known to have the capability and Chang-Wook will aim to help them realise this capability. Jin Chang-Wook is by far among the most popular sportsmen in Quebec and Shingoryeo and this provides yet another aspect or view to this move. A top tier league like the BVL is inevitably popular in the volleyball fanatic nation of Quebec and Shingoryeo however the signing of Jin Chang-Wook the Olympics MVP has definitely boosted the overall popularity of the BVL in Quebec and Shingoryeo. It is also clear to everyone just how rare contracts such as Chang-Wook’s with Vreton Bulls are with the deal extending for an unfathomable 5 years.
Other prominent international signings include the signing of Arlo Byter to the Kings of Fermont. Byter is an experienced Ardengardian setter who more than displayed his talent at the Volleyball World Expo here in Bollonich. Multiple high profile members of the selection squads of the franchises made their way to view these matches often seeing players who could be good fits for their teams. And that’s exactly how Byter ended up in the Kings of Fermont.

The BVL, contrary to most leagues around the world has no fixed heirarchy. And this constant state of flux is the. Most attractive feature about a franchise systemic league. The Vreton Bulls however were looking to maybe change this. They followed up their first place finish last season in the table with yet another magnificent display bagging first place on the table with the help of star signing Jin Chang-Wook. The Bulls however were tightly contested by the Rovers who were also equally eager to notch up some silverware. The summer window was rather uneventful for the Rovers, but they didn’t need to make many changes as they knew from the previous season that they certainly had what it took. Akusha Rovers showed this on the very first matchday against Vreton Bulls as they took a much better team than them on paper to five sets eventually defeating them. This was the first sign that maybe Vreton Bulls couldn’t live up to expectations this season, following a rather mediocre display from most players. Fans were also worried about Chang-Wook settling down and from what was visible he clearly hadn’t yet. Akusha Rovers meanwhile looked stronger than ever in this victory. Worrying signs for the Karvian Tigers also propped up as they lost to a seemingly uncompetitive Torrijas Wizards team. For a team having international experience this was a shameful display and rightly raised some eyebrows. The Rovers carried forward their spiking hot form from their victory over the Bulls back home where they overcame strong opposition to record yet another victory, this time over the Tigers. Having defeated both sides that made it to the VCL last cycle, they were looking to be serious contenders for the title. The Bulls following their loss against the Rovers bounced back well heading into their MD3 showdown against the Tigers. Playing at home the Tigers shut down their critics as they put up a dominant display defeating the Bulls 3 sets to none. This was yet another set back in the Vreton Bulls’ bid for reclaiming their title once again. The two title favourites were already two wins behind table leaders Maihar Lions and Akusha Rovers, one of whom looked strong as ever. A near perfect performance from the Bulls and Tigers for the next 6 matches did nothing to close down to the gap between themselves and the Rovers as they still trailed the Rovers by 2 wins, two wins they would desperately need to make up to stay in contention. The Maihar Lions who were atop following the first three match days were pulled down back from heaven as they had lost three out of their next six games. The Bulls however were not ready to let the Rovers run away with it yet and this showed in another thrilling encounter between both teams on MD10 which was eventually won by the Bulls. This put them in direct contention with the Rovers as another loss by the Rovers would put both sides level on points. The Tigers who were looking strong prior to this encounter suffered yet another setback at the hands of the Wizards who repeated the same shenanigans they performed on the first matchday to record a 3-2 set victory over the Tigers. This set the Tigers back in the competition of catching up to the top teams such as the Rovers and the Bulls. With this three way battle looking better than ever the league was at its most intense stage. The Rovers would now face off against the Tigers who had been given an opportunity to right their wrongs and make crucial headway on the advantage that the Rovers already possessed. This also propelled the Vreton Bulls up top as these consecutive losses for the Rovers significantly set them back. This three horse race had gotten even more interesting as some teams started to do something we expected them of being unable to do. The Kings of Fermont with their new signing Byter were now in fifth position with a good chance at competing for some of the top positions. The struggles for the Akusha Rovers continued into the 12th matchday as they suffered yet another defeat this time at the hands of Kings of Fermont. This propelled the Kings in fourth and a decent position to compete for a possible VCL spot. The Maihar Lions also rose in places with a win following the drops experienced by the Rovers and the Tigers. The Tigers, facing the Bulls away from home were very clearly the underdogs. Th performance put up by them however could be compared to that of novices as the Bulls completely dominated them providing them with no opportunity comfortably defeating their biggest rivals for the second time this season. This also meant that the Bulls had done what they had set out to do and were now in first position clear of everyone else and only had to hold onto this which should be minimal work for them. The Bulls however slipped up in the very next game against the Marda Frogs which cost them a vital win and points. The Lions carried on their charge for a VCL qualification spot which didn’t seem likely at first but they look to be in a rather comfortable position. The Akusha Rovers’ losing run carried on as they suffered yet another close defeat this time at the hands of the Yetis. This had truly been a horrific run for the Rovers as they went from an 8-1 win loss record to 8-5 in the matter of four games. The upside of Vreton Bulls’ loss was that they were still in striking distance due to this meaning the title fight was far from over. Another team that had made massive amount of headway into the title fight were the Kings of Fermont whose victory over the Karvian Tigers didn’t only set the Tigers back by a lot but also propelled them into a very competitive position. A position they would hold onto. The Bulls managed to keep their winning run going against the Kings of Fermont preventing further headway by the team, also giving the Rovers and Tigers an opportunity to catch up. The Lions despite looking as contenders at one state seemed to be far off the quality suffering an embarrassing defeat to the Rovers. The Vreton Bulls and Rovers kept a very clean record for the upcoming encounters. The Bulls won all of their games except the one game against The Yetis on MD16 which threw the championship very wide open. The Rovers unlike the Bulls didn’t slip up once following their cataclysmic four game losing streak and won all of the games putting them right up there with the Bulls. The Tigers slipped up quite a few times struggling to hold onto third place on the table as it was occupied by the Kings of Fermont who were very much outsiders at the beginning of the season. The Lions finished on equal wins as the Tigers in fifth position following a rather successful season for them considering the stiff competition. The bottom half of the table was comprised of the San Pablo Rockers, the Marda Frogs, the Torrijas Wizards, the Maihar Warriors and the Lagos Yetis in order.

Season 3 - Preview Part 1

Other Side of Paradise
Manager - Marius Popescu (45)
Ground - Joseph Joestar Stadium (90,000) in Other Side of Paradise
Major Rival - Space Coast Rockets
Experts’ Prediction - Top 4
Last Season - 1st
About - Other Side of Paradise were heading into the second season of the TPL after a nail biting finish to the first one. Starting off slowly, they managed to pick up the pace and quickly caught up to main competitors Vreton City. After catching up, they showed no rest as they powered on towards their first ever TPL victory. The last season was one of the best seasons for Other side of Paradise having done what they looked very close to doing in their first season too. They’ve also made a small reinforcement to keep up with Vreton City with the signing of Kehr while also losing out on Dolphin to AFC Richmond for a hefty sum of 3.1 million. The team will be focusing to keep that elusive and revered Twin Premier League trophy with themselves while competing with their biggest competitors Vreton City.

Ground - Allainz Arena (63,000) in Lagos
Major Rival - Fermont United
Experts’ Prediction - Top 6
Last Season - 3rd place
About - Diane Niles’s Lagos side put in another stellar season for the team with great performances throughout the season finishing third in the TPL. Having locked horns with the Vreton United side, the battle went down to the last matchday with SC Lagos emerging as victors on goal difference. Improvements that could be made to the side weren’t as abundant as the team was a closely knit unit. With the conclusion of Klingto’s contract, he headed off to Fermont along with teammate Wade Moreno. The loss of two key defenders compelled the side to make few changes which came in the form of the signing South Newlandian, Gustafe Wright an experienced right back from BPL side Torrijas FC. Donato Brandāo the young Azurean will be filling in the gap left by Klingto as his transition into the team is complete. The SC Lagos outfit will be hoping to retain their position in the top 4 teams of the TPL and possibly compete for the title.

Vreton United
Manager - Corinne Lefevre (47)
Ground - Rose Bowl (83,000) in Vreton
Major Rival - Vreton City FC
Experts’ Prediction - Top 6
Last Season - 4th place
About - Vreton United’s second season in the TPL was much better than their first as they were much more competitive, with their battle with SC Lagos going down to the wire and both teams finishing on equal points. New manager Lefevre had done wonders with this struggling Vreton United side and this was clearly visible. Vreton United had had a quieter window compared to their Vretonian neighbours who had a very busy window making some big signings. The biggest signing for United was the signing of Poafmersian Quackison from Brook second tier side Artiana Galaxy who could prove a crucial player in defensive stability. They also signed young Hazel Andrews from relegated side San Pablo SC for a free, which was a complete steal. Vreton United will be once again looking to maintain its position in the hierarchy and if possible compete against City or Paradise if possible. However they’re main focus will be on outdoing SC Lagos for that third position.

Season 3 - Preview Part 2

Space Coast Rockets
Manager - Tony Koltuniewicz (46)
Ground - The Galaxy (78,000) in Space Coast
Major Rival - Other side of paradise
Experts’ Prediction - Top 6
Last Season - 5th Place
About - Finishing 5th in the Twin Premier League last season, Space Coast is looking forward to having yet another successful season. They started by signing Nepharan midfielder, Soren Coleman who had helped Red Tube Volint to a large extent last season, To strengthen their midfield further, they signed Victor Wilmots from new side Rottenham United. Wilmots had played an important role and helped open attacks for Rottenham last season and hopefully he will continue with his performance this season in another jersey. They lost Aleksander Simovic from their side to Rottenham United. Experts predict Space Coast to be towards the top of the table once again.

FC 69 Norweigan wood
Manager - Carlo Bortolozzi (66)
Ground - Octopus' Garden (100,000) in Norwegian wood
Major Rival - Clube de Norwegian wood
Experts’ Prediction - Top 8
Last Season - 6th place
About - Finishing just below their opponents-Space Coast , FC 69 Norweigan wood had started the season with a loss. Their performance at the beginning of last season was mediocre at large but they started climbing the table mid-season and managed to grab a spot in the top 6. A club with an unusual liking towards South Newlandian players, they signed their third South Newlandian player from relegated side, Regiis Dreamland-Lorenzo Oreales. They didn't sell any major player from their team but old Graham Godhard went to play for Cosque Horsemen. Their main focus this season will be to retain their position in the top 6.

Fermont United
Manager - Darell Bourke (36)
Ground - National Sports Stadium (55,000) in Fermont
Major Rival - SC Lagos
Experts’ Prediction - Top 8
Last Season - 7th place
About - Fermont United’s time in the TPL had been of huge spending while not receiving the tangible returns that their cash deserves. Fermont United are by far one of the best funded teams in the league and capable of attracting the most sought after players. Their second season in the TPL was yet another underwhelming season finishing in 7th and while they did qualify for the IFCF, they missed out on their sought after goal for a top 4 spot. The administration however continues to show support for Bourke with their gigantic purse. Fermont signed the likes of Hugh May, Wade Moreno, Klingto and Mitchell Stevenson all of whom are established national team players to bolster their defense and to push ahead their goals of becoming TPL champions one day. The current squad look stronger than ever having retained some of their best players while also making crucial signings towards the back of the field. The team will want to show that they can compete at the top and have a good season.

East Akusha CF
Manager - Grant Cook (63)
Ground - Britony SuperDome (64,000) in Akusha
Major Rival - West Akusha CF
Experts’ Prediction - Top 10
Last Season - 8th place
About - East Akusha as a side have usually been the stronger Akushan side in the league managing to cause upsets and get into the battle for the IFCF spots. East Akusha had a brilliant second season in the TPL finishing 8th meaning they got to participate in multiversal club football for the first time in the form of the ChC. Grant Cook’s side has also always been a force in the Copa Bollonich coming close twice in the finals however missing out on that elusive piece of silverware. With the expiry of Lucian Buikema’s loan some moves were on the cards to replace the hole left by the Nepharan. A hole which was quickly filled up by 23 year old Licentian, Luke Kennedy who will be crucial to any success the side has this season. They also made a signing of Oniarise from relegated side San Pablo filling up the position of left winger in a star studded forward line.

Season 3 - Preview Part 3

West Akusha CF
Manager - Nikolas Horne (49)
Ground - Old Fruedd (31,000) in Akusha
Major Rival - East Akusha CF
Experts’ Prediction - Top 10
Last Season - 9th place
About - West Akusha have always been right there on the tails of their Akushan counterparts, East Akusha, finishing one position lower than them last season. The side haven’t been the biggest spenders however are very good at making important signings for the team at the right times. The side negotiated a rather one-sided swap deal with Fermont United with them getting Nyla Hope and a million for star center back Stevenson. Horne however knew the importance of this one million making two crucial signings with the remaining budget and profit generated from the swap deal. The signings of MacDonald and Rogers are both great moves in their own right, bringing in talented foreigners to strengthen weak areas of the lineup. This rejuvenated side will be looking to make the best of the resources available to them and stay on an equal footing with their neighbours and closest competitors.

AC Dason
Manager - Alexander Pale (61)
Ground - FBM Arena (41,400) in Dason
Major Rival - Strange City FC
Experts’ Prediction - Bottom Half
Last Season - 10th place
About - AC Dason, the club which found its place exactly at the middle of the table after the season has better hopes for this season. The club had started out last season with a bang and after the first five matchdays, they found themselves at the top of the table. But their position at the top was short lived and they suffered defeats in the next five matchdays. Things went pretty mediocre for them after that but they managed to restrict themselves to the bottom half somehow. They signed Brook international Rasihawn Donaldson from relegated side Regiis Dreamland this year. Rasihawn is a bold and strong defender who has played an important role in the strengthening the defense of Brookstation.

Dreamland City
Manager - Vincente del Aqua (45)
Ground - Glass Animals Park (44,000) in Dreamland
Major Rival - AC Dason
Experts’ Prediction - Top 10
Last Season - 11th place
About - Dreamland City didn't have the season they expected. Their signing of Adrian Tentelsaunx had brought them some hope but that wasn't enough. They finished at 11th position last season after a number of unfortunate defeats. They lost one of their star player, Jean Pierre Polnareff who had been suffering from a series of injuries and thus they signed Deschamps as a replacement, who is going to be a key player in their team. It is rumoured that they spent a large sum on their training facilities and is aiming for a better position in the table this season.

Clube de Norweigan wood
Manager - Tomas Mader (43)
Ground - The Fortress (33,000) in Norwegian wood
Major Rival - FC 69 Norwegian wood
Experts’ Prediction - Bottom half
Last Season - 12th place
About - Tomas Mader's Norweigan side had a pretty disappointing season finishing 12th place. They have thus made a number of changes in their team in hopes of a better season in the 3rd edition of the Twin Premier League. They started off with signing a defender from world cup winning side, Ko oren to strengthen their defense. Max Devilliers is an excellent defender who works hard to consolidate the defense. However they lost their star player Laron Veum who signed for an international club. To compensate for the loss , they signed Ardengardian prodigy, Thomas Vachoux from Deux Vestrit. They are hoping that their expenditure proves to be useful.

Season 3 - Preview Part 4

Real Pablo FC
Manager - Emmeline Stack (40)
Ground - The Osborne Arena (32,000) in San Pablo
Major Rival - Blich
Experts’ Prediction - Bottom Half
Last Season - 13th place
About - Real Pablo FC were subjected to a rather difficult season, one they expected however. Real Pablo’s financial condition has been something of a worry for some time now with revenue generated mainly going to keeping the side afloat while trying to negate their millions in debt. Finishing 13th last season they were far from the relegation zone however with teams around them making moves remaining stagnant is not a possibility. Real Pablo made the only one signing this window of Sirelius from Cilaous SC, another struggling club. Real Pablo led by Stack have managed to remain in close proximity to the IFCF with a good team and will look to continue to just be the team that’s there with the outside chance of making it.

Halebid Warriors
Manager - Jakanacharya (70)
Ground - Krishnadeva Stadium (30,000) in Halebid
Major Rival - Essidise Titans
Experts’ Prediction - Relegation Battle
Last Season - 14th place
About - The team led by old Jakanacharya didn't have the season they expected. Finishing at a disappointing 14th place, Alexander Cust couldn't make his team have a good season. In hopes of a better season, Halebid United started off by buying Suraya Torosian. Toroasian who is an able defender will hopefully be able to strengthen their defense and give them a boost this time.

Maihar United
Manager - Thomas King (38)
Ground - Wilson Ground (23,600) in Maihar
Major Rival - FC Maihar
Experts’ Prediction - Relegation Battle
Last Season - 15th place
About - Maihar United came into the TPL kicking and screaming having shown the world of what they could do. The side having made their way to the highest level of Bollonischian football now looked towards the next step, which would be staying up for any newly promoted side. And the season wasn’t the best for them with them just managing to achieve their only goal of the season. This however was a good base for the team to continue building on in their time at the TPL. They made two signings, both for reasonable cost while getting some really good foreign talent. Maihar United will now be focusing on the goal to stay out of the bottom four and also contest with some of the more established teams in the league.

FC Maihar
Manager - Sammy Sr. (68)
Ground - Lidron Arena (31,000) in Maihar
Major Rival - Maihar United
Experts’ Prediction - Relegation Battle
Last Season - 16th
About - FC Maihar similarly to their compatriots from Maihar barely managed to stay afloat finishing a position above the relegation zone. Finishing 16th however was enough to keep them up, especially with good performances from some of their players. To keep the momentum going for them, the side has cashed in on a number of players such as Teixeira from Sudeme, Orioles from Regiis and also Cheshire from Real Pablo to strengthen various positions of their lineup. Cheshire will be looking to support the lone fighter from last season, Gia Knott, so they can have a better impact on the league. FC Maihar as an outfit will have goals similar to that of Maihar United, looking to stay up and compete for the midfield.

Season 3 - Preview Part 5

Essidise Titans
Manager - Niamtseren Bayasgalan (68)
Ground - Old Town Road in Tevatuktoo
Major Rival - FC Hacienda
Experts’ Prediction - Relegation Battle
Last Season - 19th place
About - In their forgettable debut season, one of Essidise Titan's rare positives in TPL-2 came in the form of a win against struggling side, Strange City FC. Only seven wins and six draws saw them at 19th place in the table after the second season on the Twin Premier League.
The Titans' project under Niamtseren Bayasgalan is past now. However, as Jose Fowler is readying his troops to start the team's new mission in Essidise. Essidise Titans' coach will be tasked with the challenge if building a new present as much as burying the past. This season, they have a different team with new players and more importantly, a new team and a new coaching set-up. They are confident that they will improve on the level from last season. Coach Fowler has strongly focused on team work and co operation between their players as he believes that is what his team was initially lacking. This is where he puts in focus his philosophy of approaching the challenge match by match. The team has done a lot of pre season preparations for this season to understand their strengths and weaknesses. The Essidise fans can hope to have a better season as their new coach, Jose Fowler seeks to bring a new start this season.

Blich
Manager - Minerva Gaffer (55)
Ground - Blich Football District Ground (42,000)
Major Rival - Real Pablo FC
Experts’ Prediction - Relegation Battle
Last Season - 3rd place in BPL (Promoted team)
About - Blich are a historically strong Bollonischian footballing outfit with a record 17 BPL titles and 11 on the trot. Things however have been way harder recently with the side facing lots of difficulties failing to qualify for the first or second seasons of the TPL. Blich’s BPL season wasn’t the best however with them just managing to make the playoffs which they managed to get through. The route to the TPL had been anything but easy for them however this is where it gets harder. Despite their struggles, the name Blich rings a certain chord in the heart of every Bollonischian football fan and this has been useful in attracting players such as Vishwa, a player who has experience at the highest stage with Vreton City. They have also made the signing of young Waller and experienced Cornell to bolster both the position of the goalkeeper and also the forward line. Blich will most importantly be looking to keep out of the relegation zone and continue their journey back to the top.

Rottenham United
Manager - Mohan Sagor (52)
Ground - Spencertown Stadium
Major Rival - AFC Richmond
Expert's Prediction - Bottom 4
Last season - 2nd in BFL (promotion)
About - Rottenham United is a team that has Brookstation's rival, 'luck' on their side for some reason. Although the team finished second in the Brook Football League last season, their rivals FC Hacienda won't let them get away with the opportunity so easily. They got the upper hand over Hacienda last season which got them qualified to the Twin Premier League. According to experts, their season is not going to go well as they fear that the extreme competition in the League is going to be a bit too much for them. They signed players this season which includes the likes of Dante Pfeiffer and Curtis Wakeford, both excellent players who are going to help them greatly in their campaign. They also signed young Jorie Vincent from Bollonich who has played a vital role in the defense last season and is expected to do so this year as well. All we can do now is to hope that Mohan Sagor's team have a good debut season.

AFC Richmond
Manager - Led Tasso
Ground - Yale Road
Major Rival - Rottenham United
Experts’ Prediction - Relegation Battle
Last Season - 1st in BFL (promoted)
About - AFC Richmond is perhaps the only club to retain such a position in the history of Brook football. A club that started their campaign in the third division and got promoted to the second devision, working all the way up to the Twin Premier League. AFC Richmond had a brilliant season winning the Brook Football League and getting promoted. They have done a huge number of signings, not to mention the assets from their owners. Their main signing this season was John Percovich. The defender from Quebecoise side, Sarnia 4.25 is sure to impress the club and help them in their debut campaign as well. Apart from him, they also signed Xannerian Billy Higginbotham who played a very important role in Denver's team last season. It is thus safe to assume that AFC Richmond is going to have a good season.

Pre-Season ~ Champions Cup

AC Dason’s success in last season’s Champions’ Cup seemed like the perfect facade as they struggled through the entirety of the next season finishing 10th in the TPL. This failure to back up performances in the Champions’ Cup in the TPL came as a surprise to most teams with this possibly having a major role in redefining the purpose and importance of the Champions’ Cup as a preseason tournament. The stature and hierarchy of the league had also seen major changes with Space Coast Rockets having being knocked off from their championship competing position in the first season of the TPL. Other Side of Paradise proudly carried the mantle of the best Brook team in the TPL winning the title and defeating rivals Vreton City FC rather comfortably. The set up for this Champions’ Cup is a truly fascinating one in the middle of a busy and exciting transfer window.

Group Stage
Champions’ Cup Pld W D L GF GA GD Pts
1 Other Side of Paradise 7 4 2 1 14 6 +8 14
2 Vreton City FC 7 3 2 2 9 5 +4 11
3 Space Coast 7 3 2 2 13 12 +1 11
4 Fermont United 7 3 1 3 17 9 +8 10

5 Vreton United 7 2 2 3 10 12 −2 8
6 SC Lagos 7 2 2 3 6 11 −5 8
7 FC 69 Norweigan wood 7 2 2 3 9 19 −10 8
8 East Akusha CF 7 1 3 3 4 8 −4 6

The group stage similarly to how the Champions’ Cup usually is was an excruciatingly close encounter with a number of teams tied on points. Surprisingly, Paradise were three points ahead of their closest competitors in Vreton City FC scoring 14 points from their four victories and 2 draws. This was a good result for the side given the pre-season nature of the tournament with teams preferring to not reveal too many cards. The players showed yet again exactly how comfortable they are in their position and roles in the side with the young centre back duo coming alive in defending the goal. These were hopeful signs for a team looking to retain their spot at the top. Coming in second were Paradise’s biggest competitors for the last two seasons who looked on point too. Vreton City as a side are not the team to completely depend on big signings instead they make strategic youth developmental choices allowing them to retain at the top. Such moves are evident in bringing in young centre back Pierce Patrick to avail the crucial guidance that Ingit can give him. This is always important for a team looking to secure their future at the top. And the side Vreton City put up for the Champions’ Cup was exactly this. An exuberant, enthusiastic young lineup with lots of courage and determination who were capable of changing the complete complexion of the game within a few second and that’s exactly what they did. This young team from the depths of their squad and youth structures gave us an insight into what the future holds for this wonderfully youthful team. Space Coast Rockets were also very close by after missing out on the top 4 last season. Finishing on equal points with Vreton City they looked pretty strong as competitors for the upcoming season. The side having made minimal changes to the side with the incomings of Coleman and Wilmots were banking on a similar squad to last season. And this seemed to work, the side looked much more settled down and had good chemistry combining well together. Rounding off the playoff spots were Fermont United who’s time in the TPL could be described as underwhelming. Having made major signings, their failures were mostly inexplainable. It’s a tricky situation to find oneself in, with money being thrown at a problem with it failing to come up as a solution. Fermont United however were not ready to give up just yet, with money flowing from its investors they cashed in 4 big signings. These signings appear to have helped their case with them competing at the level of top teams such as Vreton City FC and Space Coast Rockets. There is however much room for improvement for this side especially if they want to compete for that elusive TPL title. Vreton United finished fifth tied with SC Lagos and FC 69 Norwegian Wood on eight points with the Champions’ Cup living upto its promises of being an excitingly close tournament. Vreton United had made slight headway towards the top with their duel against SC Lagos and despite losing some alleged ground here it remains very hard to predict the outcome of the TPL based on the Champions’ Cup. SC Lagos on the other hand a somewhat active window and despite losing two key defenders they were swift in replacing them. The team will look to maintain their position of stature in the league looking to make that transition to a more youthful team which teams have already started doing. FC 69 Norwegian Wood who are by far the most adored Brook side in Bollonich looked on it keeping in touch with what was thrown at them. East Akuhsa a rather new side to this commotion at the top have adjusted quickly and despite not being the strongest they can definitely put up a fight against some of the strongest teams as they did hear.

Knockouts
Qualifier 1
Other Side of Paradise 0–6 Vreton City FC

Eliminator
Fermont United 3–9 Space Coast Rockets

Qualifier 2
Other Side of Paradise 4–2 Space Coast Rockets

Final
Other Side of Paradise 6–3 Vreton City FC

The Champions’ Cup naturally to its ethos always brings something fresh, and this different playoffs system is refreshing to say the least. This is always fun with the teams having to really fight it out and the audience getting to see an extra match in the absence of a 3PPO. In the first qualifier it was a goal fest with Paradise taking on City. City started off the game in quite a groove with Paradise appearing quite shaky. And this was the perfect set up off the bat for City to punt in some early goals. Rios started the onslaught with a smart tap in putting them ahead, and it didn’t take long for this lead to double or even triple in size with the contributions Brehaut and Das. Things were very good at the 30 minute mark for Vreton City with them having a comfortable lead in the game. Paradise on the other hand looks like a bunch of 10 year olds who were being ran around in circles by City. City’s young players showed no restraint with even the defenders getting into the mix. Winton playing at the right back position put in a tremendous performance and even got a goal to her name with some brilliant play and luck putting her at the right moment at the right place. This had overall been a brilliant game for City with them ending the game on a massive high with a 6-0 margin of victory as they sailed into the finals. Things had gotten very complicated for Other Side of Paradise now as they turned their eyes to the Eliminator.
This game keeping up with the tradition of high scoring encounters in the Champions’ Cup was yet another goal fest with double the number of goals scored in the first qualifier. Fermont United were the ones to open scoring however from that point on all chaos ensued. With the Freeloaders (Fermont United) having gone ahead, the Rockets quickly pulled back equalising. With two goals already on the board with 10 minutes having passed this game was shaping up to be a cracker. It didn’t take the Rockets very long to start working on extending that lead and slowly, goal by goal the small lead from the beginning started extending into an untouchable one. By half time they lead 5 goals to 1 with Fermont United suddenly and shockingly having fallen behind in the match. This was an eye opening time of the match as the Freeloaders looked much more determined to get themselves out of this hole they were in. The Freeloaders made headway towards decreasing the lead with two crucial goals from Moreno as the goal looked achievable. However just as they looked to be back in the game, the Rockets brought in a surge of energy with them and took the lead farther away than it had ever been in the game setting up a cracking encounter for the semifinals against Other Side of Paradise with a 9-3 win over Fermont United.
Other Side of Paradise took to the field against fellow Brook team the Rockets looking to see who makes the finals of the Champions’ Cup to face defending champions Vreton City. The Rockets appeared to have carried their form over from their last encounter against Fermont as they begun the game with a goal immediately raising the gravity of the situation. Paradise needed this, they needed to get back into the game and fast if they were to avoid the faith of Fermont. Paradise scored the equaliser late into the first half with Batelie once again making it crystal clear his importance in this team. The side used this momentum going into the second half as they extended their lead with two quick fire goals from Johannes Kehr and Jabril Conde putting them in a somewhat comfortable position for the remaining 15 minutes. These fifteen minutes however were very far from being the cleanest of 15 minutes. As desperation set in for the Rockets, things started to get dirty. Following the Rockets’s second goal Paradise defender Hutton appeared to be blocking Rockets’ player Brookes from taking the ball. Such heated exchanges played a good part in Paradise being able to manage the lead and also extend it with players busy fighting each other. Other Side of Paradise defeated Space Coast Rockets to make their way into the final to set up a rematch against Vreton City to avenge the embarrassment that befell them.
This was the Grand Finale, a showdown between two great teams of the TPL. This was the deciding encounter. Paradise looked on point coming into the game and with City having played a game less would it matter? Well, we got to know in the game itself as the momentum the Paradise players carried seemed to be crucial in the early stages of the game. Paradise snuck in an early two goal lead which quickly countered by City with a goal of their own and going into the remaining two-thirds of the game it was very neck and neck. Paradise however clearly looked like the stronger of the two having more possession and control of the game on a whole which they reinstated with yet another goal going into half time. This was now a game that Paradise were comfortably in control of. City found themselves in an adverse situation with a comeback necessary to make any sort of difference. As City’s players got desperate with time running out this gave more opportunity to the Paradise to extend their lead with another goal. City however were quick to reply this time with two goals of their own and now with only one goal separating them this could go down to the wire. Or would it? Paradise in the end managed to comfortably wrap up the game with two more goals and avoiding any sort of late drama. These 10 games would’ve taken quite a toll on the players towards the beginning of the season however could also pay back dividend when most needed in the form of crucial experience against the top sides.

Bollonich T20 Bash

The BT20 Bash forms the elite level of Bollonischian domestic cricket which is comprised of a combination of franchise teams as well as clubs. Some the freanchises in the BT20 Bash are still not the most established teams despite the large amounts of cash thrown their way. We saw signs of this last edition as the two well funded Vreton franchises failed to even finish in the top 4. The nature of Bollonischian domestic cricket is such that players are attracted primarily to the club sides due to their greater history and cultural relevance to the people of Bollonich. The franchises on the other hand receive minimal support from fans. A change we saw this edition is the removal of the knockout rounds with the management declaring that the winner shall be decided with the team finishing top of the table itself. Last season, this team was Rocker Lagos who put up a mighty display winning 11 of the 14 games losing only 3 games. San Pablo CC were the other team to qualify to the CLT20 with 9 victories under their belt finishing above competitors Fermonto. The other team in the top 4 was Akushan Halo, the only franchise side to finish with the number of wins equal to the number of losses. Transfers were a rare occurrence in the window with teams opting to hold onto what they had.

TEAM P W	L	D	PTS NRR	RR
San Pablo CC 14 8 5 1 17 1,48 8,61
NCHS CC 14 8 5 1 17 0,195 8,757

Maihar Warriors 14 8 6 0 16 -0,671 8,074
Fermonto 14 7 7 0 14 0,924 9,144
Rocker Lagos 14 7 7 0 14 -0,217 7,683
Vreton Knights 14 6 8 0 12 -0,266 7,719
Akushan Halo 14 5 8 1 10 -0,412 7,563
Vretonian Tigers 14 5 8 1 10 -0,918 7,064

The season started brilliantly for the Maihar Warriors as they were on a perfect run in the first half of the season as they were comfortably cruising in front. How they found it in themselves to dominate basically everyone remains one of the mysteries of the season however rest assured this was a shock to all the other teams who did not expect this franchise of all teams to stand up to the established hierarchy. This dominance however did not last all season long for the Maihar Warriors as they suffered a terrible run from MD10 to MD14 losing all 5 of their games which saw them slender down to third position which meant they had just missed out on qualification to the CLT20 after leading for 12 match days of the season. And if that was not enough, NCHS were given the opportunity to further rub salt in their wounds by defeating them on the final matchday to secure a place for NCHS in the CLT20 instead of the Warriors. San Pablo were potentially the start of the show in the second half of the season as they recovered from fourth at the halfway point to win it all with 5 wins in their last 7 matches. San Pablo’s success is not unexpected or surprising as they have been a dominant force in Bollonischian domestic cricket for some time now. The Vreton franchises continued their run of unsuccessful seasons with another season to forget for them.
