Was that the number injured by the shooter or the Spetsnaz response team?

No idea. I think some people may have been injured while jumping out of some windows. I saw a video of some people escaping that way.

Interesting...

‘Nearly One-Third of Gun Owners Have Used Gun in Self-Defense,’ Says Report
...Ammoland obtained a copy of the 23-page report and it contains some eye-popping data. For example:

There are approximately 1.67 million defensive gun uses annually.
In most cases (81.9%) the gun is not fired.
Handguns are the most commonly-used firearm in defensive incidents. Shotguns follow at 21 percent and rifles at 13.1 percent.
Slightly more than 9 percent of gun owners carry a handgun openly or concealed “always or almost always.” Another 6.9 percent carry a handgun “often.”
The majority (74.8%) of defensive gun uses take place outside the home, and many (51.2%) involve more than one assailant...
White privilege is the belief that white people are responsible for the acts of their ancestors by people who accept no responsibility for the acts of their children.

These are rookie numbers, we gotta make them bigger yet.

To the point that the only people not owning and using are the journalists and the politicians.

Then the naysayers will quickly learn to sing a different tune of yankee doodle dandy.

You mean that person trying to refute an 18th century amendment to constitutional law with a 14th century one from another country?

I guess somebody need to school someone what a legal amendment is and how those tend to annul prior laws in that regard.

Not only was the second amendment pretty much unanimous among the first 13, but every state that joined the union afterwards not only agreed to it, but also generally added something to a similar affect within their state constitutions.

With the one exception being Hawaii. But that place was 60% naval-base and military-wives 30% natives, and 10% expat-tourists.

Vermont union group endorses gun rights in 'anti-fascist' and anti-extremists resolution

Union group Vermont AFL-CIO opposes gun control in a statewide resolution passed on Sep. 19, making them "the first major Labor body in Vermont to support the right to bear arms."

The resolution asserts the right of self-defense for organized labor, arguing that people of color, immigrants, and working-class people are "most at risk of attacks by fascists, white supremacists, and individual extremists."

The resolution passed by the vote of elected delegates representing 11,000 workers at the Vermont AFL-CIO's 2021 Convention. It references the Black Panther Party, anti-apartheid struggles in South Africa, and the Zapatista uprising in Mexico as examples of the need for working people to take up armed self-defense.

"Organized Labor must not rely on the armed wing of the Government to defend

democracy," the resolution declares, citing the Jan. 6, 2021 incident on the U.S. Capitol as an indication of the necessity to not rely upon the state for protection against "fascists."

State labor group backs gun rights to counter rise in domestic extremism

Alabor group representing thousands of Vermont workers has declared its support for gun rights, saying they need to defend themselves and vulnerable communities from violent extremists and to uphold democracy.

The Vermont AFL-CIO publicized its support for gun rights — and opposition to what it described as the rise of fascism that threatens democracy in the U.S. — in a resolution that group leaders passed Sunday.

Vermont AFL-CIO President David Van Deusen cited the Jan. 6 storming of the U.S. Capitol, the passage of voter suppression laws in some states and the rise of right-wing extremism as factors in the state labor group’s decision to officially back gun rights.

Gov. Phil Scott’s office declined to comment on the resolution. Aides to U.S. Sen. Bernie Sanders, I-Vt., and U.S. Rep. Peter Welch, D-Vt., did not respond to requests for comment.

Shame that last part, good to see some more on the left embracing gun rights.

Requiring a license to buy a firearm and or ammo, is the equivalent of requiring a license to buy a book and or pens and pencils. It's stupid, unconstitutional and such restrictive laws should be thrown were they belong, in the retard thought trashcan.

Next couple of big brained ideas from the usual dipshits who hate the constitution.
Feinstein, Blumenthal Introduce Bill Targeting Armslist Also that piece of shit s. whitehouse is in on it as well.
Sen. Dianne Feinstein is once again taking aim at Section 230 of the Communications Decency Act, but this time she’s not going after social media platforms as she did last year with the EARN IT Act, a piece of legislation that would have required companies like Facebook and Twitter to certify that they’re in compliance federally imposed standards for detecting and reporting child sexual exploitation materials to police in order to “earn” immunity from legal challenges or criminal penalties based on posts on the platforms.

No, now Feinstein, along with Sen. Richard Blumenthal (D-CT) and Sen. Sheldon Whitehouse (D-RI), is targeting websites like Armslist, where gun owners can post ads featuring firearms for sale. In a press release touting the Accountability for Online Firearms Marketplaces Act, the California Democrat says she wants to hold websites accountable for any “illegal gun sales on their platforms.”...

The other big brained idea from the doddering retard we call prez, is giving the feckless irs access to everyone's bank accounts, as if it's any of the govt's business what I do with my money.
Under Biden Plan, The IRS Would Know A Lot More About Your Bank Accounts
Such an unconstitutional? scheme is ripe for abuse such as tracking peeps who:
Ammunition purchases.
Donations to pro-Second Amendment groups
Firearms purchases
Purchases of firearms accessories

No just NO!
White privilege is the belief that white people are responsible for the acts of their ancestors by people who accept no responsibility for the acts of their children.

So what do you think of a license to drive a car ?

I'd say we should consider that there is no license required to buy a car, nor a license required to drive one on property you own or private property you have permission to drive on.

There is a license required to operate on public roadways.

To that end, if you want to go the auto route, a true comparison that would make sense for there to be no license to buy a firearm, nor any restriction on felony status or age to buy any kind of firearm, but a license required to carry one in public places.

I don't necessarily think that's a terribly good idea.

Update on the Perm shooting:

Weapon was actually a pump-action shotgun, not a hunting rifle.

6 deaths, 43 injuries. Shooter was an 18 year old law student. He posted some messages on social media, but his precise motive is not discernible (at least not to me).

The moment I started to say something like that, my anti gun cousin started bringing up all the classic talking points. Me and my grandfather (the only other gun owner in the family) started refuting, and then someone defused the situation. I don’t talk politics with my family for a reason.

The moment I started to say something like that, my anti gun cousin started bringing up all the classic talking points. Me and my grandfather (the only other gun owner in the family) started refuting, and then someone defused the situation. I don’t talk politics with my family for a reason.

Talking about(or should I say loudly arguing) politics in my family is an honored past time. While a very select minute few of my family does agree with some aspects of bullshit gun control laws such as back ground checks and age restrictions, we all agree that the nfa/gca 68/hughes, is unconstitutional, same with requiring a license or permit to carry and or buy a firearm/ammo.

No just NO!

Meanwhile, newspapers have been facilitating prostitution and human trafficking for decades, but Dianne doesn't give a crap about that...
