THE KOSSMIL PAPER

SECURITY INCREASED IN KOSSMIL AFTER RECENT TERRORIST ATTACKS

Image
President Cherdeko making the announcement

Date- 3rd September 2021

DABATTA- President Cherdenko made an announcement on state television of the increased security and police presence in major cities across Kossmil with Dabatta and Vorotov getting the most of the focus, the reason is because of the recent terror attacks that happen across the world within two days, so far the attacks are either claimed or suspected to be done by Al-Fijar, one being a car bombing attack at a Lower Tariel mall in Zamastan which 68 people lost their lives and with 210 in critically care but the suspect has been arrested recently. The second attack being in the city of Bennom in Qolaysia which 119 people lost their lives too and around 400 was injured by three attacks, the attacks were all caused by three different suicide bombers, so far 4 suspects have been arrested on possible links to the attack. The third attack happen recently in Emmiria today, as an suicide bomber with links to al-Fijar has detonated his vest on Air Emmiria Flight which has claimed 52 passengers with 80 critically injured but 129 passengers and crew has survived and were evacuated from the plane.

President Cherdenko has send his condolences for the victims of the recent attacks and show support to President Atticus Moreau of Zamatsan, President Abiel Kennard of Qolaysia and President Akram Sulaiman of Emmiria which were all done by separate phone calls to the leaders. President Cherdenko has also reveal that from Zamastanian Intelligence Service (ZIS) and Albarinean Intelligence Agency (AIA), they have uncover an al-Fijar plots of coordinated plan of targeting major transportation systems and popular public sites in nationals cities, and that the cities of Dabatta, and Vorotov were founded as targets. “These are dark days ahead, I can’t believe there are people who are so willing to commit these crimes against humanity. I will first say we must stand together as one across the world as we are all now facing a threat to our homes. I know what all of feeling are so far but I don’t want that anger, that emotion to be released on the Muslim community here in Kossmil, they don’t represent same ideas as al-Fijar. The idea of this republic is based on that we all are equal, we are all Kossmilian even if everyone has different religions, we are still Kossmilian in each other's eyes.”

While President Cherdenko was making his statement, in Vorotov Prime Minister Anton Krukov was having a meeting with Stanislav Safonov, the leader of the Kossmil Commuist Party and in charge of the Red Battalion, the paramilitary wing of the party. Safonov agreed to work with the police on security in Vorotov so it will not cause a clash with the Kossmilian Police in Vorotov, they both make statement of praise to one to the other and also stating that they will prevent a terror attack from happening in Vorotov.

Constituent Assembly meets in Adrikagorod

Image

September 4
By Lisa Gromova
The Constituent Assembly, with 220 representatives from the 11 administrative districts set up by the provisional government has met in Adrikagorod, which was previously known as Osipovgrad before the overthrow of Matvei Pavlov and the Slavic Union Party. The assembly is tasked with drafting a new constitution for the Slavic Union. Among the members of the assembly are labor leader Mikhail Franko, former Duma member Ulyana Agapova, and many more. One of the consensus main goals of the new constitution is to guarantee that a dictatorship will never rise again in the Slavic Union, and several failsafes have already been put in place to keep one person from taking on too much power, decentralizing power as much as possible.

The Adrikagorod Report has managed to secure interviews with several members of the assembly, Lev Untilov, a former political exile who returned to the nation after Pavlov’s overthrow said “It’s a daunting task, the Slavic Union Party built the Union so that oppression and fear were natural parts of all systems, now we have to build from the ground up.” Franko, who came to prominence for leading the workers councils during the Revolution had this to say “This is what comrade Arseni [Bolotin] died for, this is what comrade Gora [Kovalev] died for, they died for a nation free from the ever reaching tentacles of the Vozhd and his goons'' he also later stated “It only takes 3 days to overthrow a tyrant, I will remember this, the people certainly will, I can only hope that the next government remembers this as well.”

The assembly is making good progress on the constitution and it is expected that a national referendum will be held in the coming weeks to ratify the constitution, which will give way to elections and the end of Estocan occupation.

Terrorist Attack Mai, Police Searching for Abir Gatajari

ImageSHARE THIS: Image Image Image Image

Emile Vince (
@EVince)
September 6th, 2021 | Mai, Timeria

Yesterday morning terror struck Mai and many Timerian’s across the nation are mourning those lost in the attack. Terrorists targeted the Mai Stock Exchange and Neenan Park just a few blocks away. The Mai Stock Exchange was hit by suicide bombers at 2:17 P.M., police identified three bombers in the initial attack and a 4th that detonated after law enforcement arrived. There are an estimated 22 dead and around 300 injured. A few minutes later at Neenan Park gunman opened fire killing 50 and injuring 30 as they tried to flee to safety. Once police arrived they were involved in a gunfight with the attacker before shooting all five. Two of the gunmen have been identified as Aidan Roberson and Safar el-Allee both are currently in critical condition at Chijioke Medical Center. The other three were killed by Mai City Police officers. The MCPD has yet to release the names of the deceased attackers as they continue to investigate the situation. One person that has been identified by police is Abir Gatajari.
Image

Abir Gatajari is believed to be responsible for coordinating the attacks and has been on a watchlist for six years. Police across the nation are currently searching for Gatajari and late last night the Mai SWAT team raided his house in the suburbs of Mai. Gatajari wasn’t located and police are starting to believe he orchestrated the attack outside of Timeria. His car was found in the garage and his last purchase was a train ticket to Gracemeria two weeks ago. Gatajari has been moved to the top of the FIA’s most wanted list and a reward of ❖200,000 for information leading to his arrest.

Image

In Mai, the city is still on lockdown as the police continue to work to investigate all threats. Last night residents were put on edge after an Air Force jet’s sonic boom shook the city. The F-25 fighter was performing an intercept of a private aircraft in violation of the no-fly zone over the region.

Across Timeria people are standing in solidarity with the citizens of Mai. As people across the nation are on edge, security has been increased in major cities and large gatherings. This is among a wave of recent terror attacks led by al-Fijar. The group founded in Jaginistan has a global reach and cells across the globe. Gatajari had previously visited Jaginistan in 2017 and 2019 and authorities believe he may have ties to leadership in Jaginistan.

The attacks in Mai are currently the worst attacks to occur in Timeria. President Raso has praised the response of the MCPD and sent her condolences to the family and friends of those who lost someone in the attacks. Last night President Raso addressed the nations asking that “we continue to stand united and fight through these dark times. Timerians will not be brought to their knees by acts of cowardice. Those responsible for these attacks will pay the ultimate price. They will not be judged by their god but by Timerians serving justice for those in Mai.”

AL-FIJAR UNLEASHES DEADLY CAMPAIGN OF TERROR ACROSS THE GLOBE

Image
Attacks in Lower Tariel, Bennom, Kuye, and Mai have resulted in over 300 deaths in the past four days.

LOWER TARIEL - The ZIS has definitively concluded that al-Fijar was behind the deadly bombing at Barona Mall in Lower Tariel on September 2nd which resulted in the deaths of 68 people. Additionally, they have tied the restaurant attacks in Bennom, Qolaysia, an airliner in Kuye, Emmiria, and today's deadly attacks in Mai, North Timeria to an al-Fijar cell in Southern Adula. Al-Fijar's leader and proclaimed emir, Jaad el-Kaleel, has issued a jihad against the Coalition of Crown Albatross, specifically against nations who have participated their military forces to the ongoing peacekeeping operations in Jaginistan. The Federal Government of Jaginistan and the Coalition of Crown Albatross Peacekeeping Mission to Jaginistan (CCAPMJ) have been operating in tandem since 2006 to help stave off attacks from al-Fijar within Jaginistan, and Jaginistan's President Talaal al-Ayub has issued a statement condemning the attacks by al-Fijar and calling for a troop increase from Coalition members.

Only hours after the bombing at the Barona Mall in Lower Tariel, a series of suicide attacks against tourist destination pubs in the Qolaysian coastal city of Bennom resulted in 119 people being killed. The QIA, Qolaysia's Intelligence Agency, is cooperating directly with the ZIS as it is believed there are still active members of a Qolaysian al-Fijar cell within Bennom. The next day on September 3rd, a terrorist prematurely detonated their explosive aboard an Air Emmiria flight in Kuye, Emmiria, killing 52 of the flight's 181 person manifest. The EIA, Emmiria's Intelligence Agency, has also been working with Zamastanian authorities to determine the extent of the plot, which is believed to have been a hijacking gone wrong. In Mai, Timeria, at least 72 people have been killed in a series of suicide bombings and shootings throughout the city at the Mai Stock Exchange and Neenen Park. Timeria's intelligence agencies are working to determine the extent of these plots as well. The ZIS has warned that there may be many other attacks in planning stages or in the process of being implemented and carried out by al-Fijar sleeper cells.

In a grainy video published online, al-Fijar leader Jaad el-Kaleel appears to declare a reinvigorated jihad (a holy war) against CCA member nations, specifically citing Zamastan, Quetana, and Durnstaal, but alluding to the organization as a whole. The ZIS confirmed the authenticity of the video, which was posted on September 6th shortly after the Mai attacks. Security has been increased internationally, with the ZIS confirming that their global partners in intelligence communities are working together and have detected an abnormally high amount of internet and communicative activity from suspected al-Fijar networks, indicating the possibility of future attacks.

In the video, el-Kaleel says "to the followers of Islam and the soldiers of Allah, it is time to destroy the Coalition, to take up arms against the invaders of Jaginistan and Jiddiya and the holy sites of Emmiria, and to never give out until we have poured our lives into the decimation of the infidel." He went on to make specific threats, naming "Novada, a heart of Durnstaal's demons, and their wicked endorsement of the massacre of our Jaginistani brothers" as a broad target, likely alluding to the 2008 Winter Uprising in which militants from the radical separatist group Nov'yusvit committed a series of brutal attacks against Jaginistani refugees residing in Novada. El-Kaleel also pointed followers to "attack and claim victory over infidels in Ledua once again," an apparent reference to the 2005 Ledua train bombings, which to this day remain the deadliest attack committed against a foreign country by al-Fijar with the deaths of more than 390 people.

Director of the ZIS, Kirk Faulkman, has met multiple times in the past day with President Atticus Moreau and the national security team in Tofino to relegate the situation and monitor the activities of suspected terrorists. When giving a press conference in response to the agency's actions ongoing, he stated "much of what we are doing is sensitive and classified, although I can assure the public that they can go about their business. Again, though, be cautious and say something if you see something suspicious."

President Moreau, who was originally scheduled to make an in-person address following the September 2nd bombing, has yet to do so. A spokesperson for the President has stated that he is "bogged down in the fight against terrorism, not in a sense of being overwhelmed, but that there is much to do and he needs to put all of his focus into it." Yet, critics of the President have expressed that the nation and the global community is worried about the threat posed by al-Fijar and its affiliates like the Irsani network in Zalluabed, and that he needs to make a televised address to at least update the nation and issue a sense of calm.

AA553 BOMBING: TRIAL HEARS TRAUMA OF RELATIVES DEMANDING JUSTICE

Image
The families of those killed in the downing of flight AA553 over the Olympic Ocean in 2020 have begun to testify at the trial of four suspects.

JADE HARBOR - As al-Fijar creates a major campaign of terrorism around the globe, an often unseen frontline in the war on terror is underway in Jade Harbor. About 90 relatives of the September 16, 2020 bombing of Air Andaluni Flight 553 will speak at the high-security court over the next three weeks to deliver testimony. International investigators say the plane was brought down by a suicide bomber aboard. Three Saudi Jiddiyans and a Kuresan are on trial but none will appear in court. All four have denied involvement in the bombing, while the ZIS says the group supplied money, tickets, and bomb making material to Kalumaan Al-Babur, the suicide bomber.

The Air Andaluni flight was travelling from Jade Harbor to Vongane on September 16th, 2020 when it was downed. It crashed in the Olympic Ocean, about 190km (120 miles) from the Quetanan coast. All 178 people on board the Toring 757 airliner were killed - including 160 passengers and 18 crew members. The victims were from 7 different countries, but most were Kuresan nationals. Zamastanian prosecutors have said the suspects had a role in bringing down the flight with a bomb that they created and money that they used to directly purchase tickets. The trial suspects, all of whom were born in Jiddiya but are citizens of other countries, continue to maintain their innocence.

Air Andaluni Flight 553 was an Air Andaluni flight operating on the Jade Harbor-Vongane-Nora route. On 16 September 2020 it was operated using Toring 757 registered TA-0T. It disintegrated in midair en route from Jade Harbor to Vongane, at an altitude of 31,000 feet (9,400 m) over the Olympic Ocean, as a result of the explosion from a suicide bomber aboard affilliated with the terrorist group Al-Fijar. The remnants of the airliner fell into the ocean approximately 120 miles (190 km) east-northeast of the northeast tip of Quetana, killing all aboard: 178 people, including 90 Kuresan citizens, 29 Andaluni citizens, 18 Rio Palitoan citizens, 16 Quetanan citizens, 10 Zamastanian citizens, 8 Caspiaan citizens, and 7 Emmirian citizens. The bombing of Air Andaluni Flight 553 is the largest mass killing in Andaluni and Kuresan history, the deadliest aviation accident in the history of Air Andaluni and was the deadliest act of aviation terrorism.

Kalumaan Al-Babur was identified as the bomber by the Zamastanian Intelligence Service and the Emmirian State Security Committee. Four days after the bombing, two attempted attacks are foiled in connection to the bombing. Ahmad Suadya Mumaar attempted to blow up Omicron Airlines Flight U829 midflight from Amarjel, Durnstaal to Vessalia, Avergnon, but was subdued by passengers and arrested by the Central Intelligence Bureau upon the plane's emergency landing. At around the same time, Akbani bin Ahmaura attempted to detonate a car bomb in Viitaniemi, Caspiaa, but the bomb failed to explode and bin Ahmaura was arrested by the Capsia National Security Bureau.

NNCNEBETIA
TERROR ATTACK THWARTED IN LIRA

President Brett Highland revealed that police have intercepted a suspected al-Fijar insurgent and thwarted a terrorist attack in the coastal city of Lira. Following a series of attacks internationally which have shocked the world in their coordination and barbarity, security had been elevated nationwide. The suspected terrorist was arrested while en-route to a popular tourist beach in Lira, and inside his car authorities discovered multiple illegal firearms and explosive devices. The suspect, whose name is being withheld, entered Nebetia on a visa from Zalluabed last week according to the Nebetian Bureau of Intelligence and Surveillance (NBIS). The NBIS has stated that they believe he is affiliated with the Irsani network, a branch of HPLF which has sworn allegiance to al-Fijar and is responsible for multiple attacks in recent weeks, specifically the bombing at Saint Raneau International Airport in Albarine.

President Highland issued a statement praising the authorities for intercepting the suspected terrorist before he could carry out an attack. President Highland also stated his condolences for the victims of terror attacks internationally; in Lower Tariel, Zamastan; in Bennom, Qolaysia; in Kuye, Emmiria; in Mai, Timeria; and in Helmfurt, Besmenia.

"Nebetia stands against terrorism and we are committed to seeing al-Fijar rooted out and defeated," President Highland said.

While the specifics of the Lira terror plot are not fully known, authorities believe that the general plan from the suspect was to use his small four seat vehicle as a car bomb, which he would leave in a congested area before beginning a shooting spree at the popular Lira beachside walkway.

TRADE AND INFRASTRUCTURE DEVELOPMENT INITIATIVE (TIDI) SIGNED BY CONGRESSIONAL HALL

Image
The massive global infrastructure development strategy plans to invest in 70+ countries to further Zamastanian economic influence internationally.

TOFINO - In a historic and multipartisan vote, the Moreau administration's proposed TIDI plan, known officially as the Trade and Infrastructure Development Initiative, is formally being introduced to allied governments to begin the initiative. TIDI is a global infrastructure development strategy that today has been formally adopted by the Zamastanian government, but was introduced in 2019 under the Anya Bishop administration to invest in nearly 70 countries and international organizations. It is considered a centerpiece of President Atticus Moreau's foreign policy moving forward after spending the first year of his term shoring up Zamastanian alliances. He originally announced the strategy during his presidential campaign in August of 2020.

Speaker of the Chamber Natasha Chastain, known for her public disagreements with the President on many issues, nonetheless celebrated the occassion by signing the bill into practice, calling the initiative "a bid to enhance regional connectivity and embrace a brighter future." The project has a target completion date of 2051. Examples of TIDI's infrastructure investments include ports, skyscrapers, railroads, roads, airports, dams, and railroad tunnels. Already, four nations have signed onto the initiative: Caspiaa, Quetana, Rio Palito, and Ruskayn. Discussions are already underway with other national governments who are likely to join the ambitious plan, according to representatives from the state department.

Already, the project is being likened to the initiative underway by the De Yuaneze government's Global Economic Cooperation Incentive (GECI), which is Yuan's attempt to make major investments into the economies of other nations, specifically nations with developing economies. More than a dozen countries have signed onto the Yuaneze initiative, taking Yuaneze funds and contracts in exchange for better investment and infrastructure development. TIDI's signing also comes as tensions rise over the status of Gangkou, as Yuan's communist party has declared that the 200-year-lease on the Zamastanian dependency is now null, with its expiration moved up to 2025. President Moreau, while not denying the similarities to the Yuan plan, has stated that the originality and charge of the State Department's new mission to implement TIDI is important.

"The Trade and Infrastructure Development Initiative is going to bring the world closer together and boost the cooperation of the entire sphere of nations that come alongside it," President Moreau said during a joint press conference with Caspiaan Prime Minister Tullia Grönberg at the Presidential Mansion following TIDI's signing. "The stated objectives are to construct a unified large market," President Moreau continued, "and to make full use of both international and domestic markets through cultural exchange and integration, to enhance mutual understanding and trust of member nations, resulting in an innovative pattern of capital inflows, talent pools, and technology databases."

The initial focus has been infrastructure investment, education, construction materials, railway and highway, automobile, real estate, power grid, and iron and steel. Already, some estimates list TIDI (once completed) will be one of the largest infrastructure and investment projects in history, covering more than 70 countries, including 55% of the world's population and 60% of the global gross domestic product if all goes according to plan. Development of the Zamastanian dollar (ziapet) as a currency of international transactions, development of the infrastructures of Euronian, Nortuan, and Adulan countries, strengthening diplomatic relations whilst reducing dependency on Yuan and creating new markets for Zamastanian products, exporting surplus industrial capacity, and integrating commodities-rich countries more closely into the Zamastanian economy are all objectives of the TIDI.

Furthermore, TIDI will address the expanding infrastructure needs in regions that are severely lacking in basic infrastructure, especially across Ausiana, Southern Adula, and interior Nortua, enhancing regional integration, promoting economic development and improving public access to social services. TIDI will also work to provide assessment and certification of infrastructure development projects worldwide on measures of financial transparency, environmental sustainability, and impact on economic development, with the goal of mobilizing private capital to invest abroad.

ONE WEEK SINCE LOWER TARIEL ATTACK | ZIS UPDATES PUBLIC

Image
Police respond to a bomb threat in a Jade Harbor neighborhood on September 9th. It turned out to be a false alarm, but security remained high throughout the city.

LOWER TARIEL - The Barona Mall remains closed and vacated one week after the deadly terror attack claimed 68 lives in Lower Tariel. Since then, the world has seen a series of coordinated and sporadic al-Fijar attacks which have claimed hundreds of lives. Despite the high degree of attacks and the sophistication against soft targets within heavily secured areas like airports, metro stations, and city centers, the ZIS has released a report detailing that over a dozen al-Fijar suspects have been detained in Zamastan, with dozens more having been intercepted and stopped abroad before they could carry out attacks.

While information is still largely being withheld, the ZIS confirmed that the Timerian intelligence agencies had located a suspect and undermined an additional terror plot against their national security following deadly bombings and shooting sprees in the city of Mai. Additionally, the Qolaysian government and the Quetanan government were both working extensively to locate prime suspects in what is being called a "series of self-contained sleeper cells" within Adula. Meanwhile, on the home front, the ZIS has mandated its agencies to find and intercept any suspects they consider credible within Zamastanian territory and to work with other agencies to locate suspects and prevent attacks.

The threat of terror remains high, according to ZIS Director Kirk Faulkman, who continued to maintain that citizens should not shy away from regular activity as long as they understand the risks and that they need to be on the lookout. A by-product of this worry was evidenced in Jade Harbor today, when a suspicious vehicle prompted a bomb threat and a multi-block evacuation. While authorities were able to ascertain that the bomb threat was not real and that the car in question had no connection to any terrorist plot, Director Faulkman said it was better to evacuate and take precaution than be sorry.

"The basic play of al-Fijar is to throw off the senses and lure victims into terrifying scenarios," Director Faulkman stated at a press breifing. "It is their hideous narrative to spread fear with everything they do. The bomb threat in Jade Harbor, while not a legitimate risk, was certainly part of that terror. I do maintain that it was better that people took the precaution and were safe in the end, as had it been a real threat, then we could've had a serious and unfortunate conclusion to this whole event. I'm thankful to the ZIS and local authorities across this country for the job they have been doing in the wake of the Lower Tariel attack, and we continue to assure the public that we are bringing to an end the terroristic dogma of al-Fijar in the best way that we can."

In his first address to the nation since the Lower Tariel attack, President Moreau stated that he mourned the loss of life, saying "the rubble of a shopping mall, a basic location we see everyday in our society and visit for regular need, beckons the stark image of depravity that these terrorists atone. We are a strong nation and we have overcome trials and tribulations. No blast is powerful enough to shake our foundation off its firm footing. No gun in the hand of a madman will throw our nation into the pits. We will rise from this, as we always do, and make those who wish us harm pay the ultimate price in the end."

The suspect in the Lower Tariel bombing, Muthanna al-Jafri (23), is awaiting a hearing for his charges and the date for his trial. A native born Zamastanian, his parents whom are both deceased were immigrants from Jaginistan. Known to have visited Jaginistan twice in 2016 and 2020, it is believed that al-Jafri was self-radicalized in Zamastan from being contacted by al-Fijar recruiters, known collectively as 'Amru', and then formally joined the terrorist network during his second visit. The ZIS has publicly disclosed that they known al-Jafri had traveled to the western, mountainous region of Jaginistan, infamous for being under the control of al-Fijar insurgent networks and believed to be the hiding spot of most of the group's senior leadership, including Jaad el-Kaleel. Al-Jafri is in a holding facility under heavy supervision and security, without a bail set.

Martin Signs onto Zamastanian TIDI-proposal

Image
President Gilles Martin enters a cabinet meeting following the signing of the Trade and Infrastructure Development Initiative on September 10th, 2021

President Gilles Martin has officially signed legislation that brings the Allied States of Elbresia into the newly formalized Zamastanian TIDI initiative, which will spur economic and infrastructure development and investment across the globe in the coming decades. The proposal is already being heralded as one of the most ambitious plans for infrastructure development in history, as the proposal spans more than 70 countries accounting for a plurality of the world's population and GDP.

Only signed into existence and practice yesterday, the Trade and Infrastructure Development Initiative is already seeing membership expand beyond Zamastan, to the not-surprisingly joyous delight of its planners. President Martin, who had been in discussions with the Zamastanian government over the past several months about joining TIDI once it was officiated, praised the initiative, stating in a press release that "this partnership will boost Elbresia's economic standing in not only Nortua but the world stage. Already as a major economic player, we do wish to see these networks expand. Thankfully, TIDI has allowed this to become a much more feasible reality."

The Zamastanian-led initiative plans to address major gaps in infrastructure development around the world. While part of the plan is focused on developed countries and improving their transportation infrastructure through existing networks like roads, bridges, ports, and train systems, it will also focus on electrical lines, energy production sites, and network capabilities. The plan also will address infrastructure needs in developing countries with severe lacking in that regard. Already TIDI is focused on the interior of Nortua, to which Elbresia stands a certain degree of importance in influencing that stage.

Aftermatch of the Helmfurt attack

Image

Citizens of Helmfurt mourn the 8 fatalities.

[b]On the evening of September 7th, there was a hostage-taking in a synagogue in the city center of Helmfurt. The perpetrator Majdi el-Ibrahim entered a synagogue at around 9 p.m. and took all 10 people who were still in the synagogue hostage. Majdi el-Ibrahim shot 7 of the 10 hostages and one policeman. 3 of the 10 hostages survived, but one of which was seriously injured. After el-Ibrahim tried to escape from the synagogue, he was shot dead by police units.

The 28-year-old perpetrator Majdi el-Ibrahim, who was born in Jiddiya in 1993 and has lived in Besmenia since 1998, was a member of Al-Fijar and has recently been under observation and investigation by ZIS and BFIA. According to ZIS, el-Ibrahim has probably been accepting orders from Al-Fijar via a secret server for a long time. Whether the hostage-taking in the synagogue was also an order or a target of the perpetrator is still being determined.

The attack caused sadness and shock across Besmenia. President Vincent von Schilling ordered a three-day state mourning. The residents of Helmfurt in front of the synagogue also mourn the dead hostages. Prime Minister Elisabeth Rademacher gave a speech on September 8 as a reaction to the attack, in which she mentioned: '' It was a terrible and harrowing hate crime. In these times like this, it is important that we take action against Al-Fijar stronger than ever. All countries in the world should work together to defeat Al-Fijar for eternity and for all the terror and suffering that this group wields. ''

EMMIRIA JOINS T.I.D.I. PLAN
The new plan is a major step for Emmirian foreign policy

Image
Air Emmiria Flight 3966 burns following a suicide bombing aboard while the plane was taxiing

RHAGA - President Sulaiman and the Emmirian Consultative Assembly have signed onto the TIDI agreement in accordance with the Zamastanian legislature's new guidelines which establish one of the world's most ambitious economic investment plans. TIDI is slated to boost investment in infrastructure and trade networks internationally, and plays a strategic role in Emmiria's foreign policy ambition to counter growing Yuaneze influence within the Adulan continent.

"The government of Emmiria is proud to come alongside the international community and specifically the government of Zamastan in this endeavor," President Sulaiman stated. "The Trade and Infrastructure Development Initiative is the world's newest and best chance to rebound after a tumultuous few years of economic stagnation. Disputes and tariffs have given the Adulan trade networks many punches. TAFCA and CATA have been able to keep it afloat, but it's definitive that we take new measures to reinvigorate the global economy with Emmiria as a staple center along the Adulan land and maritime connections. TIDI is the best chance we have."

The Trade and Infrastructure Development Initiative (TIDI) is a global infrastructure development strategy adopted by the Zamastanian government in 2019 and instituted fully in 2021 to invest in nearly 80 countries and international organizations. Proposed by President Anya Bishop in 2019, it was officiated into law by Congressional Hall on September 9th, 2021. The project has a targeted completion date of 2051. Examples of TIDI's infrastructure investments include ports, skyscrapers, railroads, roads, airports, dams, bridges. and tunnels.

The project has been labeled as a counter to the Yuaneze government's Global Economic Cooperation Initiative, which follows a similar model to the TIDI with wide ranging investment internationally. Some observers and skeptics, mainly from non-participant countries, including Yuan, interpret it as a plan for a Zamastan-centric international trade network.

Among the projects that are scheduled in Emmiria are multiple restorations of shipping port facilities, the refurbishing of the national highway system, and a collection of major public transport projects such as a high-speed rail system from Kuye to Ahvahz and a new system of public busses.

Air Emmiria Flight 3966 burns following a suicide bombing aboard while the plane was taxiing on September 3rd.

KUYE - One week has passed since an al-Fijar suicide bomber exploded his device aboard a taxiing Air Emmiria flight at Kuye International Airport. Since then, the Emmirian Intelligence Agency has been taking charge in many regards of public safety, issuing major changes to the security processes within airports and key transport sites, and calling on the public to be wary for threats. 52 people were killed and more than 80 were injured aboard the plane, which was evacuated on the runway in a shocking image of terrorism.

EIA and the ZIS have been working in conjecture with one another to coordinate the response. EIA has stated that they have arrested more than two dozen suspects linked to the attack, with at least four of them being directly connected to al-Fijar cells in Adula. It is believed that the terrorists were connected through a cell originating in Saudi Jiddiya, an unfortunate prospect considering the more than year-long military operation in the country that only recently concluded with "major success", according to the Defense Ministry.

Regularly scheduled commercial flights, which were cancelled following the Kuye bombing, have been restarted as the weekend approaches. The economic hit from the cancelation of flights was major - more than 25 billion in loses ensued.

Agapova and Bogun Clash, Franko promises a ‘brand new day’ Highlights of the first Presidential Debate

Image

September 11, 2021
By Anatolii Vinogradov
The first ever presidential debate in the history of the Slavic Union took place on Saturday, with the 4 highest polling candidates being allowed to debate. Ulyana Agapova, Nikifor Bogun, Mikhail Franko, and Nikita Ignatkovich all qualified, while Robert Lobov finished with 3% in the most recent polls, falling short of the 5% threshold. At the moment 16% of voters are undecided or stated they were going to vote for a different candidate.
Image

The Economy
The debate began with questions on how candidates would repair the Slavic economy, which fell into a recession earlier this year, which was further exacerbated by the August Revolution. Bogun and Agapova came to blows almost immediately, with Bogun arguing that taxes should be lowered on the wealthy and businesses while Agapova argued for an increase in taxes on the wealthy, in addition to investments in green energy and the opening of trade with foreign nations. MIkhail Franko gave an impassioned statement declaring a “brand new day for the Slavic Union” and that his policies would “win the war against the working man” and that the working man would win. He promised to put more power into the hands of workers and the unions.

Space Travel
Both Agapova and Bogun stated their full approval of the Slavic Union remaining involved in the mission to colonize Eirus, though for different reasons, but in stark contrast Franko called the Courage Program a “vanity project” which did nothing to help the average person, he also said “The Zamastanians and the rest of the nations involved in this have provided circuses, but they have neglected to also provide bread.”

Foreign Relations
Nikita Ignatkovich expressed a neutral approach to foreign policy, stating that relations with Zamastan should be somewhat thawed but that the SU should remain in the ICN, with the possibility of distancing itself from the organization to some extent. Nikifor Bogun expressed his full commitment to the ICN, stating “Estoca and the ICN have been our allies for 40 years, there’s no reason to change that now”. Agapova expressed similar views while Franko stated a potential distancing from both Zamastan and the ICN, with the potential of relations with Yuan.

Bogun rejected the concept of joining the Trade and Infrastructure Development Initiative (TIDI), believing that the SU should instead request ICN support. Agapova argued that joining TIDI would have a great benefit to the Slavic Economy.

Other Highlights
Throughout the debate Agapova, Bogun, and Ignatkovich all tried to attack Franko over having expressed his admiration for Yakov Blum and Arseni Bolotin, Yakov Blum was a communist, believed to have been suffering from schizophrenia or some other disorder, who assassinated a Slavic politician during the August Revolution, while Bolotin was a communist who lead the Slavic Socialist Republic during the Slavic Civil War and who ordered the executions of thousands of suspected counterrevolutionaries.

Franko’s tentative support of Yuan was also heavily criticized by other candidates, pointing out Yuan’s numerous violations of human rights, Franko later on in the debate retracted his statements on relations with Yuan, but he didn't offer a replacement plan for foreign relations.

Things to Know
The Slavic presidential election is set for October 4th, if no candidate receives a majority then the two candidates with the most votes will go on to round two on October 11. The legislative elections are on October 18, whoever is elected president is expected to announce their pick for prime minister after that.

THE ACADRE TRIBUNE
President Miguélez Signs Onto TIDI
Image
Cardoza, one of the largest cities in Central Euronia, severely lacks in infrastructure. President Miguélez believes that TIDI will boost the nation's infrastructure

President Oriol Miguélez has issued a statement following the Senate's signing onto the new Zamastanian-led Trade and Infrastructure Development Initiative (TIDI), praising the newly developed initiative as a bright opportunity for Paraboca's fledgling economy. In the speech, he said "TIDI will bring a new round of vital investment to our nation's infrastructure programs and will revitalize our economy in the modern era. The world is at our fingertips, and it is far past time that we embrace it."

President Oriol Miguélez is scheduled to meet with President Atticus Moreau on Monday when the Zamastanian head of state visits Cardoza, and it is expected that the two leaders will commemorate the signing with a ceremony.

The government of Paraboca has introduced a number of new programs to boost the country's infrastructure, which is largely outdated and lacking behind other modernized nations. While massive funds have flowed into the country in the past two decades and have contributed to Paraboca becoming one of Central Euronia's biggest economies, a history of political corruption has stopped major development from occurring. President Miguélez promised that the Parabocan government would not administer the majority of funds so as to stray from possible corruption, rather opting to lean on TIDI leadership to monitor the projects.

Possible projects already being projected for the TIDI's involvement include a national highway system that will reach more rural communities, including in the hard-to-reach mountainous villages. There are also proposals for more hydroelectric facilities which will serve both to conserve water and to power the nation, which has been severely lacking in sustainable resource driven energy. The project will also serve to stave off the country's dependence on coal and oil, switching to more of a green model.

FIRST PRESIDENTIAL DEBATE SEES MEDEIROS CLASH WITH BRAFEO, AMARAL EMBARRASED, AND OTHER HIGHLIGHTS

Emília Medeiros, Socialist Party candidate for President, prepares to rebuke one of President Brafeo's points during the debate.

The six presidential candidates running for the upcoming general election on October 11th came together for the first of two debates in Albate tonight, showcasing to the nation of Quetana their endeavors and platforms for what they hope to bring in the contentious political cycle. President António Brafeo made a strong showing at the first Presidential debate, according to polls conducted of audiences following the event, although Socialist Party candidate Emília Medeiros came out on top with the most popular responses. The election is no doubt a close series of campaigns which experts believe will culminate in one of the most neck-to-neck finishes for leading parties, and after the lackluster performances of the other four candidates, both Brafeo and Medeiros have pulled to steady tied leads far ahead of the rest of the pool.

All six candidates; President António Brafeo (Social Democratic), Emília Medeiros (Socialist), Celio Furtado (Green), Bonifacio Gouveia (Vox), Fátima Amaral (Republican Left Sovereigntists), and Diogo Andrade (Peace and Unity); met on the debate stage to discuss a wide array of issues ranging from economic ideas and platforms regarding TAFCA and TIDI, to the pressing need for national security insurances in the wake of terror attacks across the globe.

The first topic of debate, moderated by QBC One News reporter Nádia Saraiva, was the economy. Prompted with the proposal about joining the Trans Adula Fair Commerce Accord (TAFCA), President Brafeo stated his intent to keep Quetana separated from the continental economic agreement. He emphasized that Quetana maintains numerous free trade agreements and still consistently ranks as a strong economic power within the C21. Medeiros rebutted, pointing to the recent history of economic turmoil and instability that has occurred in Quetana in the past decade. She also pointed to corruption being a key factor in some of the economic stagnation in Quetana, alluding directly to the President's ongoing scandal with Guttesmara Bank and his brother's recent indictment on laundering. She went further, proposing that joining TAFCA may help to boost the economy where other international agreements have not been able to. This sentiment was echoed by both Furtado and Andrade, the former of whom stated that the Quetanan investment in TIDI (which Quetana recently signed onto alongside many other nations) should be higher than it is currently projected to be in order to cash in on greater returns in the future.

Gouveia, who is a political ally of President Brafeo's party but is seeking to replace him, came out against the President's economic policy, blaming him for "butchering tax cut proposals which have led to inflation due to misaligned views of commercial interest". Amaral, who has long sat on the outside of the National Assembly's main party functions along with her fringe party, presented a somewhat strange proposal to solving Quetana's economic issue, calling for "monthly donations" and "fundraisers" to increase the flow of government spending cash. This was quickly mocked by Brafeo, who called Amaral "immature and not a viable candidate on the stage," with Gouveia echoing the criticism calling her a "buffoon of an economist". The sudden lash of insults thrown between candidates marked the first hectic moment of the debate, which turned sour numerous times throughout the two-hours.

On the topic of economics, the moderator shifted slightly to the climate change crisis and asked candidates if their solutions were sufficient for both sustaining the economy while tackling the changing climate. Amaral was given the first chance to answer, and it became clear to the audience that she was not fully aware of the issues presented. When asked about a proposed carbon tax, Amaral asked the moderator "what is a carbon tax", eliciting laughter and boos from the audience. When she tried to recover, saying "taxing carbon is difficult due to us not being able to see carbon without microscopes", the boos continued.

Medeiros issued the Socialist Party's platform, calling for complete carbon neutrality by 2040 through the implementation of a carbon tax, investment in nuclear, solar, and wind energy, and an end to fossil fuel subsidies. She stated "that through this plan, Quetana would effectively be the first completely-green nation by 2050 if we're able to meet the goals of fully removing dependence on fossil fuels." At this point, Brafeo responded with a plan from the Social Democratic Party platform, which indicated that while they planned to do the same thing, the timeline would be pushed back to 2060 in order to "maintain a semblance of our economy. Such a rapid dismantling of our current infrastructure would cripple us." This was countered by Furtado, who pointed to the purpose of the Trade and Infrastructure Initiative (TIDI) as a "counter balance to this risk", saying that Quetana would be able to meet Medeiros's plan if Quetana effectively leaned into TIDI. Furtado championed TIDI throughout the entire debate, although all candidates unanimously supported it.

Foreign affairs marked the next topic, specifically the risks posed to international shipping through the tensions in Southern Adula. Brafeo praised his government's actions, stating that their course had prevented an all out war. Gouveia backed the President in his remarks, saying that Quetana needs to lean more into their WEDA commitments. Medeiros countered, saying that "only relying on the actions of other nations is not action," saying that Quetana's role within WEDA, though important, was largely pushed aside in favor of depending on Zamastan and Caspiaa to conduct foreign policy. Furtado proposed introducing more diplomatic offices with Zalluabed's government, as well as initiating talks between Albarine and their neighbor as the Green Party candidate said that the geopolitical tensions in the region could be largely tied to their feud. Andadre proposed leaving WEDA entirely, calling the organization's functions "a failure" and a "preparation for an imaginary war, which won't be a risk if WEDA isn't there." When the question as passed to Amaral, she declined to take the opportunity to answer.

The topic of terrorism was raised shortly after, with Medeiros pressing President Brafeo to release information collected by the QIA in regards to al-Fijar suspects following a raid gone wrong which killed two QIA agents and four civilians, as well as a suspect, in the very city hosting the debate. Brafeo declined to go into detail extensively, citing the classified and sensitive nature of much of the ongoing investigations and operations, but extending his record as President in overseeing an agency responsible for uncovering and stopping numerous terrorist plots against Quetana. "Since 2005 and the Ledua train attacks," the President said, "the Quetanan people have been able to rest easier knowing that we are always prepared to confront terrorism."

However, this was quickly countered by Medeiros, who called Brafeo's leadership following the Air Andaluni 553 bombing nearly a year ago a "disgrace", saying that the President did "very little to overhaul and rework national security." The President retorted, saying that the blame of security lapses in the Air Andaluni attack fell on the Zamastanian government since the plane originated from Jade Harbor, but Medeiros pointed to the lack of oversight given to the QIA regardless of who was responsible. "Mr President, it is your job as the head of state and commander in chief to ensure safety and seek responsibility. The terrorist attacks we are seeing now all over the world is a result of intelligence failure. Just because it isn't happening here right now doesn't mean that it never will. The failure in the Albate explosion last week proves that there is an immediate threat, which you are not prepared to handle."

The debate closed with the candidates giving final statements, standing in front of the podiums for applause, and then walking off stage to meet reporters and supporters. Polling from the Vongane Journal following the debate rated Medeiros as the winner with more than 38% citing her as the victor. President Brafeo followed closely with 34%, with the next nearest candidate being Furtado at 12%. The race clearly narrowed to the President and the Socialist Party leader, and will ultimately be decided on October 10th and on the 11th once nationwide voting concludes. Stay tuned with the Vongane Journal and QBC One to follow election updates.

Lutharia Joins TIDI
The TIDI investment plan is expected to boost regional trade through Lutharia

President Baldur Hirschl signed legislation bringing Lutharia into the Trade and Infrastructure Development Initiative, which officially states that Lutharia will be a leading donator in the early stages of the investment plan led by Zamastan.

"Coming alongside the international community in this way will bring us closer to many aspects of how the world operates. Economies counteract one another, but now they will operate in sync with one another," Hirschl said.

The Lutharian government hopes to tap into the investment funds to pay for the new geothermal plants and hydroelectric facilities set to fully phase out coal power plants by 2030.

Bordering Zamastan and serving as a transport hub between there and Drambenburg, much of the TIDI's infrastructure plan will focus on highway systems and train networks through the mountainous region along the two economic powerhouses to further develop and modernize the often difficult to navigate areas through Lutharia.

SYRARANTO NUCLEAR TEST "GRAVELY CONCERNING", SAYS STATE DEPARTMENT

Image
A mushroom cloud rises from Kysiasa Island in the Sotoa Sea in a declassified satellite image from the ZIS on Wednesday, September 15th. President Atticus Moreau and Secretary of State Vallotis have condemned the test and Syrarantoan President Kyriakos Tasoulas.

COVIJO - The State Department and the Zamastanian Intelligence Service condemned what they called a "serious and dangerous test of a low-yield nuclear weapon" by Syraranto on the small island of Kysiasa in the Sotoa Sea on Wednesday. According to senior sources in the Zamastanian government and intelligence community, a nuclear detonation was detected and observed by Constantioan and Vuswistini naval and civilian vessels at around 8:20 AM UTC -8. It was also detected by seismographs, both land and sea based, with it registering 4.2. The test was confirmed by President Atticus Moreau, Secretary of State Jessiah Vallotis, Secretary of Defense Camille Boffrand, and ZIS Director Kirk Faulkman, who all collectively condemned the Syrarantoan government and its embattled President Kyraikos Tasoulas.

The Syrarantoan government has not yet publicly confirmed the test, although it was carried out at a site well known by multiple international intelligence agencies to be a weapons testing site and nuclear facility. While this is Syraranto's first nuclear weapons test since 1988 and only their second ever, the sanctions in place by the Coalition of Crown Albatross have largely stemmed from Syraranto's past nuclear weapons ambitions, alongside a host of other issues including human rights abuses and alleged war crimes during the technicaly ongoing civil war.

The nuclear device detonated with a relatively low yield for such a weapon, registering with around 6-7 kilotons, according to the ZIS and other international observers. With satellite imagery and detection, the ZIS has concluded that the approximate blast range was nearly a kilometer and a half across, flattening and doing away with much of the foilage in the area being burned away. Before and after images show the facility on Kysiasa with plenty of activity prior to the blast and personnel in radiation-shielded vehicles and equipment at the scene post-test. Under the 1982 Treaty of Forgeheim, atmospheric nuclear weapons testing was banned and aimed to regulate the possession and use of nuclear weapons.

"The government of Syraranto and President Tasoulas must immediately cease and put a complete end to the pursuit of nuclear weapons and their testing," said President Moreau in a statement issued response following the news of the test. "The security of the world and the guidelines of the Forgeheim agreement must be instituted, and the Syraranto government must do its part to end the turmoil seen throughout their country in the past year by diverting resources from a negligent and dangerous pursuit and realign it for the benefit of their citizens by reconstructing their country."

Some of Moreau's comments allude to the humanitarian crisis which has been unfolding throughout the course of the past year in the form of mass refugee flows escaping the battle torn Syraranto, crossing the borders of Constantio and North Icadania in huge numbers that overwhelmed capacities to respond to the migrants. Among the ramifications of the migrant crisis was a series of bus bombings in Norasa, Constantio. A Coalition of Crown Albatross estimate stated that the conflict spawned nearly 2 million refugees. In Constantio alone, that number was nearly 600,000. Refugees faced multiple challenges in their fleeing from Syraranto, including exposure to elements and harsh conditions, resistance from governments to accept or house them, and even forced migration which led way to human trafficking rings in Nortua.

As a precaution, the 2nd Fleet under command of Fleet Admiral Ross Cummings and Admiral Clement Kisiner has been dispatched from Siniapore to Balgita, Constantio, to monitor the situation and attempt to deter the Syrarantoan government from being emboldened by the test. A navy spokesperson stated that "the deployment is in accordance with requests from the Constantioan and Vuswistini governments and is a buffer to the alternative, which is gravely concerning considering the developments of today."

The Constantioan government and other regional Zamastanian allies in western Nortua are continuing to monitor the situation, which remains an uneasy diplomatic situation. While fighting has largely subsided, Syraranto technically still remains in a state of civil war after more than a year of conflict and clashes between the government of Tasoulas and rebel fighters. Thanks to a ceasefire agreed to in the second round of Tyrnatini peace talks in March of 2021, fighting stalled and major clashes largely halted across Syraranto. Minor skirmishes are still common, however, as is brutal trench dug-in fighting, but there have been no large scale offenses by either side in the months following the March 1st agreement.

CANNABIS BAN IN NATIONAL SPORTS TO BE REVIEWED

Image
Cannabis is legalized in 12 of 14 provinces for recreational use. NADA's review comes as the debate to legalize the substance at a national level reaches Congressional Hall this week.

DUNCAN - The National Anti-Doping Agency (NADA) is to review whether cannabis should remain a banned substance. The move follows Zamastanian football star Barrett Masterson missing the Teal Cup after testing positive for the substance in April. The 24-year-old later revealed he had used cannabis to help cope with the death of his unborn daughter. NADA says the scientific review will begin next year and that cannabis will remain prohibited in 2022. The anti-doping agency says the review is taking place "following receipt of requests from a number of stakeholders".

Masterson, a record-holder for league receptions, had a positive test at the championship event, which meant his participation was expunged and he was given a six-month suspension. The championship came two days after the death of his unborn daughter. Both the National Anti-Doping Agency and Zamastanian Football League expressed sympathy for the athlete and accepted the substance was not used to enhance performance but said they had no choice but to follow the rules.

Testing positive for cannabis currently carries a ban of up to four years although that can be reduced to three months if athletes can show taking it was not related to sports performance. Any ban can be reduced further to one month if athletes agree to a treatment programme.

This week, Congressional Hall is set to determine whether cannibas can be legalized recreationally at the federal level. Currently, 12 of 14 provinces legalize it for recreational use, and the seceded-provinces of Alutiana, Auraine, and Mayotte have all legalized it as well. The international debate surrounding marijuana use recreationally has grown in the past decade. Drambenburg, Zitasso, and Shoassau all have it legalized in its entirity, with markets for weed growing in profit across Euronia through the legal acquisition of it. Quetana is nearing full legalization, with all but one of its provinces having recognized it as a recreational substance.

SYRARANTO NUCLEAR TEST
Image
A satellite image from the Zamastanian Intelligence Service captures the mushroom cloud over a Syrarantoan testing site on Kysiasa Island on September 15th, 2021.

NORASA- President Tony Blanian and senior officials of the Constantio government have issued a searing condemnation of the Syrarantoan government after an atmospheric nuclear test in the Sotoa Sea. While the low-yield device is not expected to spur radioactive fallout, the test is a blatant violation of the 1982 Forgeheim Agreement which bans atmospheric and non-sanctioned nuclear weapons testing. At 8:20 AM UTC -8, the detonation was detected by Constantioan military assets and civilian commercial vessels in the Sotoa Sea who reported the blast, shockwave, and subsequent shaking spurred by the explosion. Experts estimate that the detonation caused an explosion of 6-7 kilotons, which is relatively small for a nuclear weapon but still has the capability to cause major destruction against targets.

Along with the Syrarantoan government's well-known pursuit of ballistic missiles and the success of this nuclear test, and the suspicion of multiple intelligence agencies of other non-deployed nuclear weapons in Syraranto, the Constantioan government and military have been placed on high alert. A conflict is not inevitable or expected, according to senior officials, but the threat posed by the Tasoulas regime's tendency to flex their military strength warrants such a precaution. In addition, the Zamastanian government has deployed their navy's 2nd Fleet from Siniapore to dock in Constantio's ports as a deterrence.

"The blatant disregard for established international peace protocols is abhorrent and deceitful," said President Blanian in a statement after the test. "I encourage the leaders of Syraranto's military and government to disband their nuclear program and comply with international observers, and President Tasoulas must ensure that this is done for the sake of his nation."

Syraranto has been in a state of civil war since spring of 2020, and while the fighting has largely remained minor since the Tyrnitini II Talks in February of 2020, the country still remains fractured into armed factions. During the talks, delegates agreed to a temporary 3-week ceasefire, set to end on April 1st but with an ability to be reinstated if parties agree. The temporary ceasefire would allow aid workers to enter besieged areas and deliver relief supplies. The agreement was reached after nearly a week of discussion, in which rebels suggested multiple times that Tasoulas resign and step down as president, to which the regime not surprisingly rejected.

The regime had suggested that rebels surrender, with land reclaimed by the government and a clearing of sentences for rebels with the stipulation of identification markers for former fighters, to which the rebel representatives also refused. Syrarantoan government officials originally tossed the idea aside, with their disagreement coming from their placement with Zamastanian officials, who have routinely labeled the government as being human-rights abusers. The Constantio government had made similar remarks, but the Blanian and Moreau administrations have both stated that the rebel forces have also committed atrocities during the war. The Coalition of Crown Albatross Human Rights Observatory estimates that nearly 400,000 people had been killed in under a year of fighting, making the war the most deadly in the world since the World War by far.

However, a survey and investigation by Vuswistani moderator Sirvan Guttaan concluded that as of Sunday, March 14th, the ceasefire that was put in place by the Tyrnatini peace talks is being "maintained and honored by all parties so far, which is a promising sign for future prospects of a lasting peace." Guttaan stated in his observations that, with the exception of a minor clash near Tirikan on March 10th, "all parties have been following the guidelines of the ceasefire. We have had only limited and unconnected sprats of violence, but since the implementation of the ceasefire, major clashes have basically halted." Guttaan said in a press release, "this is significant because it marks the first time since the summer of 2020 that there has been no widescale fighting or offensive operations." The ceasefire allowed for humanitarian aid and medical assistance to reach besieged cities.

Stay tuned to the Norasa Federal for more details as the situation continues to progress.

LEITNER CALLS FOR CCA CONDEMNATION OF SYRARANTO NUCLEAR TEST

Prime Minister Gabriel Leitner is calling on both chambers of the administrative functions of the Coalition of Crown Albatross to condemn Syraranto's nuclear weapon test on Wednesday. The Prime Minister called the test a "direct violation of peace agreements and nuclear proliferation," and called on the General Assembly and Security Councils to convene to collectively condemn the Syraranto government, nuclear programme, and its President Kyraikos Tasoulas.

The Prime Minister had previously raised concerns about Syraranto's nuclear programme in 2018, citing the believed pursuit of weapons in violation of the Forgeheim Treaty as a direct "threat to humanity." The fears were temporarily elevated during Syraranto's civil war, which remains at a mellow draw, but evaporated with the Tyrnitini peace talks in February of 2021. However, the sudden and supposedly unforeseen atmospheric test is raising concerns over the Tasoulas regime's ability to recover scientific and military nuclear ambitions despite a fractured domestic situation and strict international sanctions.

The Shoassau Foreign Ministry threw some blame towards De Yuan, calling their government's open support of Syraranto a "leading factor in their capability to conduct such an abrasive test". The Yuaneze government has not yet countered in the statement.

The nuclear weapon test conducted on the small island facility off Syraranto's Sotoa Sea coast registered a 4.2 magnitude quake and created an explosion of 6-7 kilotons, a relatively low yield for a nuclear device but still alarming for the region. Shoassau suspended diplomatic contact with Syraranto in June of 2020, and the more than a year without connection has left a bridge of tension between the Nortuan power state and the small Euronian landlocked nation.

"The CCA must take action and firmly denounce the Tasoulas regime," Leitner said. "I call on all nations to denounce this action, and show that we cannot stand for the pursuit of these world-ending weapons. Anyone who utilizes such methods must be punished sternly and have them removed either by conviction or more harsh approach. The least we can do as a world is stand unified against it. The General Assembly and Security Council must condemn the nuclear programme of Syraranto and dis-persuade other nations from such action."

PM Rademacher in Elbresia for state visit

Image

Besmenian Prime Minister Elisabeth Rademacher and Elbresian President Gilles Martin.

Allengin: On Thursday, the 16th September, Prime Minister Elisabeth Rademacher made an official visit to Elbresia. For Rademacher, who has been Prime Minister of Besmenia since September 4th, this is her first state visit.

In the afternoon Rademacher arrived at Allengin International Airport and was greeted by Elbresian president Gilles Martin with a military reception and the playing of the Besmenian and Elbresian national anthem. After the greeting, Rademacher and Martin visited some of Allengin's sights. Including the ANS congress, at which Rademacher gave a short speech on the cohesion of the ANS states.

Then there were talks in the official office of the Elbresian president. It was an open exchange, said Rademacher and Martin after the talks at a media conference. Both politicians praised the good relations between Elbresia and Besmenia. Both countries are among the economically strongest countries in Nortua and were two of four founding members of the Alliance of Nortuan States back in 1989. The talks also covered the strengthening and future plans for the ANS, the new Trade and Infrastructure Development Initiative (TIDI) and its influence on both nations, the current Al-Fijar attacks (including the terrorist attack in Helmfurt last week in Besmenia) and the nuclear test in Syraranto. Both countries are worried about Syraranto's nuclear program, especially since Syraranto, being located in Nortua, is close to Besmenia and Elbresia.

BELEROSKOV PULLS DIPLOMATIC STAFF, CONDEMNS SYRARANTO

Ambassador to the CCA Aleksei Yegorovich addresses the nuclear tests in Syraranto during the General Assembly meeting in Tofino

President Nikolai Ubotrov condemned the rogue nuclear weapons test committed by Syraranto on Wednesday, calling the event which occurred at a Beleroskovian-built facility which was constructed in the late 1960s, a "dangerous escalation by a dangerous regime."

Wednesday's test of a 6-7 kiloton nuclear bomb sent concern around the diplomatic community of the Coalition of Crown Albatross, and in its wake the Beleroskovian envoy to Syraranto has been recalled as the General Assembly debates a possible unilateral condemnation. President Ubotrov recalled Ambassador to Syraranto Eugeni Kirillovich from Covijo, and Ambassador to the CCA Aleksei Yegorovich presented Beleroskov's intent to pursue a condemnation of Syraranto in the GA.

"This worrisome act by the government of Syraranto in a rogue and unsanctioned nuclear weapons test threatens the security of the world," Yegorovich stated during the General Assembly convening in Tofino, Zamastan. "We must take serious action as the international monitoring body that we operate collectively as."

President Ubotrov is preparing for his state visit to Peoratia this weekend for the TTPA General Summit in Syhraza, where he is expected to propose new collective defense measures for the 9 TTPA member states.

State of Emergency Declared in Rapture

Teton Seesi (
@TSee)
August 2021 | Rapture, Kefa, Unified Sera

RAPTURE – Home to around 55,000 people, Rapture is one of the most densely packed cities in the state of Kefa as it is the smallest city by land area. This population density has led to several outbreaks of various diseases for the past 40 years and has remained a hotbed for new epidemics and contagions. Several governors have found their political careers ended suddenly after mishandling the city and the resources given by the federal government to build infrastructure to combat contagious diseases.

Sadly, history has begun to repeat itself as a new pathogen was reported by doctors in Rapture. The pathogen was noted by doctors as being highly infectious and released a general announcement to those living in and around Rapture to maintain a 6-foot social distance between individuals while in public, encouraged hand-washing and mask wearing, and asked individuals who were sick with the pathogen or exhibited symptoms related to the illness to remain home. While writing the initial article the Ayotola Times interviewed Dr. John Wilkinson, an accomplished virologist and doctor who studied abroad before immigrating to Unified Sera several years ago via video-chat. When asked about the emerging virus, Dr. Wilkinson had this to say:

"We first noticed that we had an uptick of patients coming into the hospital with respiratory illness, sweating, and fever that seemed to induce psychosis in certain elderly patients. We ran tests on the patients in question and when they came back with results that were inconclusive, we quickly moved to quarantine them. It was only later that we realized that the disease was caused by a viral strand - that we dubbed 'R7R2-21' - that arose from a peculiar mutation in the rabies virus. This specific strain causes the disease 'Contagious Respiratory-Neural Inflammatory Syndrome' as it causes severe swelling in the cranial cavity or respiratory system depending on the way the person contracted the illness. As of now we are aware that the virus can spread through bodily fluids, coughing, and sneezing and the virus can remain airborne for up to 4 hours." - Dr. John Wilkinson

Doctors dealing with the virus reported that it only effected those who had pre-existing conditions that weakened the immune system, meningitis, respiratory illness, or those who were elderly. For this reason Doctors from the Board of Rapture Infectious Diseases (BRID) advised Governor Foster that the best course of action would be to institute simple mask-wearing guidelines and social distancing for at-risk patients in areas with a high transmission rate. Governor Foster reportedly took the advice of the doctors and issued the executive order in front of the press later the following day.

However, the situation quickly deteriorated before the Ayotola Times could publish its article about the emerging sickness. News broke from within Rapture's hospitals that patients were beginning to overwhelm hospitals with cases of CRNIS as the viral infection spread much faster than models originally predicted. As a matter of fact, initial assumptions that the virus would only effect those that were elderly or had pre-existing conditions was wrong. This sparked mass civil unrest among a civilian population who remembers all too well the tragic epidemics that ravaged Rapture since the founding of the city.

"We were wrong. Plain and simple. At the time with the information that we had, we thought we were making the correct assumption that the virus would not cause CNRIS in those who were not part of our "at-risk" group. We see that the condition is arising in young people, children, and adults regardless of general overall health." - Dr. John Wilkinson

The current governor of Kefa Ms. Rhaelyn Foster ya Sakhile declared a state of emergency and deployed Kefa's National Guard unit to impose order in the rapidly deteriorating city. She then requested for federal aid which triggered the CDCE and Aegis to mobilize to help control the situation.

The Center for Disease Control and Eradication issued a quarantine order for the city of Rapture following reports that soldiers wearing HAZMAT suits were entering the city and confiscating cellular devices, cameras, and other picture taking or recording devices. Concerned citizens outside the wire have been frantically writing to their congressmen and representatives to get them to force the CDCE to disclose the purpose of this communication black-out for one of the biggest cities in Kefa.

Image

The National Guard has begun to erect barricades around what they are calling "black-zones" where a high rate of infections are occurring. Although the CDCE has urged individuals to call the sites "Cordons", the term black-zone has caught on with civil rights proponents outside of the city who are urging for an immediate tear-down of what they are calling "blatant examples of civil rights abuses". The CDCE has repeatedly declined the demands of those calling for an end to the cordon which as further prompted protests around the razor wire lined fences near I-75 that leads directly into Rapture.

Initially, protests remained peaceful. Yet, the mood soured when individuals began to repeatedly heckle officers by throwing objects and repeatedly encroached on the boundary. Despite multiple attempts by the police to send the protestors home, they soon found themselves faced with a riot. Officers responded with pepper bombs, tear gas, and sonic crowd control devices to disband the crowd to little effect. Regrettably, this only further agitated some of the protestors who charged towards the national guard and police officers who then entered into a melee with rioters.

Before the crowd was totally dispersed, a total of 28 persons were arrested and charged.

Image
People watch as the national guard places fences.

The CDCE has warned the federal government that the potential for R7R2-21 to cause a pandemic level event in the nation was "significant" and that the virus should be treated with the utmost urgency. The infectious nature of the disease and the psychosis that it imparts on patients has generated a slew of conspiracy theories that the disease was man-made in nature. Aegis has declined to comment on this particular theory and the CDCE has refused to share details with the general public about the origin until the department is "certain".

For now, the CDCE and Aegis has released a stay-at-home order for everyone living in the city and brought about a temporary suspension of the Articles of Federation through the introduction of Martial Law. Prime Minister Khalfani has also approved contact-tracing for those who came into contact with infected persons. The federal government has also reached out to the international community for aid in researching this new deadly pathogen.

Executive Office and Monarchy are Grilled for Answers After Seran Corporations Overthrow Island Government

Image

Marco Lyon (

August 2021 | Invicta, Aeminium, Unified Sera

INVICTA – The island micronation Kagalla located off the south-western coast of Sera was for decades considered one of the friendliest governments in region when it came to corporations and capitalism. This led to many Seran companies moving their primary operations to the island nation due to its more lenient tax codes. Yet, the unprecedented occurred when several Seran corporations employed mercenaries to overthrow the government of Kagalla.

The coup d'etat took place during the early morning hours where reports indicate that Seran mercenaries operating under employment of the Cetanu-Yutani Corporation, Ironforge International, Xenith Holdings, and the Life Corporation displaced the rightful government of Kagalla. The mercenaries are said to have smuggled in arms and munitions under the guise of security for their employers while abroad. These mercenaries infiltrated the Palace and captured the Queen of Kagalla. They then forced the Queen to abdicate her throne and recognize the "Board of Directors" as the rightful government.

The Board of Directors with Chairman Julius Steele established the Free City of Skyline City with the primary form of government being based upon the principle of Corporatocracy. Already several companies have begun to either distance themselves from the Free City or make moves to establish branch offices in the city-state.

As companies began to make moves, Parliament was brought in for an emergency session by the Speaker of the Senate. They then summoned the Prime Minister and director of Aegis to appear before Parliament to explain why the executive office allowed for Seran companies to overthrow a foreign government. Senators grilled Prime Minister Khalfani and Director Ayeh for hours to uncover why the executive branch could have allowed the overthrow of a sovereign nation, and if the executive did not know that an impending overthrow was coming, why Aegis was unsuccessful in discovering that the plot existed. Speaker Gabadeli Uyise ya Koga exploded when the PM made the admission that he had no knowledge of the plot.

"Mr. Prime Minister, you cannot expect us to believe that you had no idea that these corporations, these Seran corporations were planning to depose a government! There must have been something that you either intentionally missed or the Director of Aegis is not doing their job. We are not happy with this, we are embarrassed by this, and the international community will blame us for allowing our people to do such a thing. For both of your sakes, you need to present us with something or by Tiyamike we will call you both in for review!" - Speaker of the Senate Gabadeli Uyise ya Koga

Prime Minister Khalfani repeatedly pointed towards a lack of relevant information that would indicate that a coup would be occurring and that it would have been unrealistic for the executive office or Aegis to assume that meetings between CEOs and the hiring of private security would or should have been suspicious.

"As an agency, our job is to defend the nation from external and internal threats and when necessary, to provide relevant information to friendly governments about threats. The Kagallan regime knew and encouraged foreign companies to hire their own security and to build their own infrastructure within the island nation. Did we know that there could have been the threat of a corporate take-over of the government? Yes, but it was a scenario that everyone in the agency thought would be as unlikely to occur as terrorists detonating a dirty bomb in the middle of nowhere - that just wouldn't happen." - Director Ayeh ya Mbaku

Image
PM Khalfani found himself in the hot seat as Parliament set their sights on him.

"Speaker, we simply did not know that this was going to happen. In all honesty, we are doing everything we can to find out exactly what's going on. I don't think anywhere else on Iearth throughout history has had a group of companies depose an entire national government before. What we can tell you is that It's believed that the corporations in question used their financial power and influence within the island nation to bribe the leaders of the national army of Kagalla to allow the take-over to happen without bloodshed. That's simply all we know so far." - Prime Minister Khalfani ya Mbaku

Parliament requested the Seran King to appear before the legislature to discuss possible repercussions against the corporations in question ranging from financial, political, and even military intervention. Sources close to the monarch have indicated that King Tu'Aruc is "very upset" about the news. When the Ayotola Times reached out to him for comment, King Tu'Aruc responded through his secretary who said "We are in the business of building nations and democracies, not dismantling them".

Parliament has not made available any information about whether or not any repercussions would be brought against the corporations. Individuals across the country are being encouraged to call their congressmen and women to make their desires known before the issue comes to a vote later this month.

Serans Celebrate Late-King Sefu Tu'Aruc's Birthday

Mark Langstrom (

September 18th, 2021 | Kito'Bahari, Kado, Unified Sera

KITO'BAHARI – Millions of people across the country are preparing to celebrate the birthday of Late-King Sefu Tu'Aruc for the first time since his passing a few months ago on September 22nd. He is often regarded as one of the best monarchs in Sera's history due to his continual push for civil rights, campaigning for bills that promoted equality, and his restructuring of Sera's military. The late monarch also pushed for a greater role played by Serans on the international stage and brought an end to many programs that isolated the nation from the wider world.

His desire for a more connected and fair nation is mirrored in his son the reigning monarch King Skolas Tu'Aruc who has repeatedly indicated that he would be following in his father's footsteps in attempting to make the country fairer for all. King Sefu's birthday, by tradition, will only be celebrated nationally once since his passing and will be considered a temporary federal holiday whereby citizens will not be expected to work. Instead, citizens can take part of several parades and block parties taking place across the country.

In Kito'Bahari, a parade led by the Davis-Hall University marching band will feature floats showing many of the accomplishments held by King Sefu Tu'Aruc in the realms of arts, sciences, and civil rights that will lead to a block party downtown. His children including King Skolas Tu'Aruc, Prince Kefalla Tu'Aruc, and Princess Adrianne Tu'Aruc will also be in attendance. His wife Queen-Mother Omowale-Tu'Aruc is said to also be attending the party. Security therefore will be extremely tight as a result of recent terror attacks internationally and due to the high-profile nature of the event itself.

Those desiring tickets that would place them closest to the royal family and other government officials are required to pass extensive (and in some cases invasive) background checks to even be considered for a ticket. Aegis has kept the exact details of what that background check would entail, however the agency said that they would be very thorough with those who wish to attend and vow that nothing would slip past.

Despite the jubilant mood the event is supposed to inspire, there are those who believe that due to the recent lockdown in Rapture due to R7R2-21 that the event should be cancelled. The CDCE has stated that as of now no such precautions are necessary as current contact tracing indicates that no one that was exposed to the deadly virus has left quarantine since the cordon was established. Yet, the agency said that it would be good practice to maintain social distancing guidelines and to wear a mask in order to be safe from other pathogens such as the seasonal flu or the yearly novel respiratory virus.

Caspiaa Hosts WEDA's MDTF Programs

Zamastan's Army and WEDA’s first Multidomain Task Force was activated on Sept. 16, but the new unit has already cut its teeth in the theater at a long-range, precision-fires exercise in Caspiaa, where officials experimented with high-altitude balloons for targeting, the new task force’s commander told Adrina Times.

At the first-ever Thunder Cloud exercise in Adenes, Norway, beginning Sept. 9 and wrapping up Sept. 20, the task force and the 41st Field Artillery Brigade exercised an entire sensor-to-shooter operation showcasing shooter targeting and strike capabilities.

The 2nd Signals Brigade also participated in the exercise, bringing network and communications capabilities to link together the sensors and shooters in the operation.

The MDTF is the second of its kind. The first has spent several years in the Oympic and Toyana theater helping to inform the Zamastanian Army’s Multidomain Operations warfighting concept as it morphs into doctrine. The service plans to set up five MDTFs that will align with the Army’s global operational needs. Another MDTF will stand up in the Toyana and another in the Olympic in the coming years.

The task force in Caspiaa— with roughly 380 people — will include a headquarters element, an intelligence, cyberspace, electronic warfare and space detachment or battalion, and a brigade support company, he said.

While the structure is similar to the MDTF in the Toyana at Sulifa's compounds, a commander said, it is obviously going to address relatively different problem sets. While the first MDTF was focused on working with the Zamastanian Navy primarily, the Euronia-based task force will focus more heavily on its relationship with the Zamastanian Air Force, he said.

Commanders are tasked to figure out how the Euronian MDTF will be different from the first, and he said he is not going to constrain the unit to operate in the same way it does now in the Toyana Ocean, but he will still draw from lessons learned there.

LDF fighters drive into Biulundo following its capture and the retreat of federal government forces.
Rebel Leaders Call For Recognition Following Capture of Biulundo

Thousands of flag-waving Lundians danced and celebrated in the streets of their capital, Biulundo, as resurgent rebels captured the city that had fallen to Apatonian federal troops two years ago.

The loss of the eastern province's capital is a major setback for the Apatonian military, which had seized control of Lundia two years ago, just weeks after the beginning of the war that has killed thousands of civilians and fighters in the rebellious region.

As the rebels entered the city on Monday afternoon, the Apatonian government declared an “unconditional, unilateral ceasefire” in Lundia for humanitarian reasons, according to state media.

The rebels, calling themselves the Lundia Defense Forces (LDF), have reportedly made military gains in several parts of the region over the past week, regaining control of key towns as the Apatonian government troops retreated. But much of Lundia is still held by Apatonian and CCA peacekeeping forces, and there have been calls for increased CCA peacekeeper presence in the country,

The rebels, reinforced by thousands of volunteers, launched an offensive this month that led to heavy fighting and LDF victories in several Lundian towns and districts. The rebels claimed to have captured thousands of Apatonian troops, though this has not been verified.

Now, the rebel forces under one general Mduduzi Sodiza is calling for international recognition of Lundia as an autonomous territory separate from the central government, saying "we control Biulundo, and the populace supports us fully."

President Mlamuli Ngotsha has released a statement saying that the federal forces who have withdrawn from the city are still intact and are preparing for another operation, saying "we will never let our country once again fracture." Prime Minister Michel Lukonde, often a political opponent to President Ngotsha, backed the statements and called for Lundia Defense Forces to withdraw from Biulundo.

By Monday morning, there were reports that Apatonian politicians and soldiers in Biulundo were preparing to abandon the besieged city, with regional government officials quitting their posts and fleeing. Local television broadcasting was halted. By the afternoon, Apatonian soldiers were pulling out of the city in commandeered local vehicles, some which piled high with looted goods from shops and offices, according to local and international media reports.

Among those targeted by the rebel troops were CCA relief agencies that have been struggling to respond to the widespread hunger and emerging famine in Lundia. Soldiers entered the Biulundo offices of the CCA children’s agency, Coalition Children's Fund (CCF), and dismantled the satellite communications system that the agency was using, a CCF official said.

“I condemn this action in the strongest terms,” CCF executive director Branko Madunic said.

“This act violates CCA privileges and immunities and the rules of international humanitarian law,” she said in a statement. “CCF's priority in Lundia, and across Apatonia, is to help the most vulnerable children, including the 140,000 children already facing famine-like conditions. We are not, and should never be, a target.”

Soon after the withdrawal from Biulundo, the LDF rebels drove into the city in their vehicles. Lundians celebrated by cheering, singing, igniting fireworks and shooting guns in the air.

It was unclear whether the proposed ceasefire will hold. The government said it is intended to allow farmers to till and plant their fields, and to help relief agencies operate more freely. Late on Monday, there were reports that the rebels had rejected the ceasefire and would push on for a broader victory.

The war began on September 27th of 2017, almost four years ago to the day when Apatonia's federal government sent troops into Lundia to subdue the rebellious regional government, which had called an election in defiance of federal government orders. The region’s ruling party, the Lundian People’s Liberation Association (LPLA), had spaded with government entities for decades but was disbanded after they endorsed the LDF's attacks against civilians loyal to the central government.

The Apatonian government captured Biulundo in late 2019 and immediately declared victory over the LPLA. But the rebels launched a guerrilla resistance and the war continued unabated. The presence of Coalition of Crown Albatross peacekeepers, most of whom are from Artegana, Quetana, and New Elkland, has largely kept the conflict mellowed, though the recent offensive by rebels has them worried.

Apatonian forces seen in retreat from the eastern city of Biulundo after its capture by rebel forces.

Two Quetanan soldiers dispatched as Coalition of Crown Albatross peacekeepers were killed by LDF rebel forces in Apatonia when the city of Biulundo fell to the insurgency. The two soldiers were killed while defending a CCF (Coalition Children's Fund) facility in Biulundo as it fell under attack by Lundia Defense Forces, the primary rebel forces in the nearly 4-year long conflict in Apatonia's eastern-most province.

The remains of the soldiers were recovered as the remaining CCA peacekeepers withdrew from the city alongside the federal forces, who retreated in droves after two days of brutal clashes on the city's outskirts. An Arteganan peacekeeper was also killed in the attack. Peacekeepers have been in the South Adulan nation since the nation's membership in the CCA began in 1988, but this is the first instance since the long-term deployment that they have come under direct attack.

President António Brafeo addressed the situation, condemning the LDF and the attacks and sending condolences to the families of the killed peacekeepers, saying "Quetanans put their lives on the line for the protection of the innocent. We grieve their loss and we will never forget them. To the families, thank you for raising wonderful people who were selfless, brave, and strong in the face of danger and the protection of others. We will continue our effort to peacekeeping in all of our current CCA-mandated deployments, and we will continue to face adversity and oppose the human rights violations that the LDF continue to perpetuate in their fight against the Apatonian government and people."

The two soldiers killed in the attack were identified as Celestino Guerra and Lucas Roque, both of whom were multi-year duty CCA peacekeepers. According to official statements given by the CCA Apatonia operations command, they were stationed at the CCF facility when rebel fighters entered the city and opened fire on workers. There were reportedly multiple severe injuries among staff at the CCF site during the attack, but Guerra and Roque held off the attackers with their detachment as evacuations took place. Several other peacekeepers were injured in the clash, but Guerra and Roque, as well as their Arteganan counterpart whose name has not yet been released, were at the front of the fighting and held off dozens of fighters, taking many with them.

The peacekeeper's remains are being returned to Vongane where they are expected to be interned with full military honors, and there is already talk of the Gold Valor Medal, the highest military decoration, being presented posthumously to the two soldiers for extraordinary valor and bravery shown in combat.

Prince Alexandre I of Marcisia visits Vongane on his first state visit to Quetana.

The royal head of the central Adulan nation of Marcisia visited Vongane this weekend to meet with President Brafeo and Prime Minister José dos Reis in an effort to shore up relations between the two nations amidst uncertain international diplomatic spats seen through WEDA and TTPA back and forth, in addition to the introduction of the quickly expanding TIDI plan. Alexandre I was elected by the population of Marcisia in 2016 but has secured a lifelong positional term in a 2021 referendum, raising concerns of a growing authoritarian government.

While visiting, the Prince was given an official state tour of Vongane, including Federal Art Hall, the residence of the President, and the National Assembly. He also participated in a conference with young Quetanans at local schools in Vongane, before visiting Ledua to commemorate early the 16th anniversary of the 2005 train bombings. Further, he gave an interview with the Vongane Journal, expressing his intent to bring relations between Marcisia and Quetana closer.

In a joint conference with President Brafeo, the Prince said "We thank the President and the people of Quetana for their warm welcoming and their infinite generosity. We predict great things to come after our fruitful meeting. I personally want to congratulate President Brafeo for his bold move. We may differ in many things but we mutually share the view of national sovereignty as our dearest treasure. With great certainty I believe that, what is good for Marcisia and Quetana is ultimately good for Adula."

President Brafeo said in the same conference "The opportunities presented to our two nations through these relations and summits is great, of course, but putting into practice these endeavors will truly define the work between our great countries. I am hopeful for the continued future between Quetana and the Principality of Marcisia through our collective work and bond. We will stand committed to continue the work of diplomacy both here in Vongane and on the world stage within the CCA."

The two leaders signed a good-faith agreement for a 30-day visa-free travel permit program between the two nations, with a stipulation for increased security due to ongoing terror concerns, but establishing an effective measure of cultural exchange between the two countries.

Nikifor Bogun’s Alleged Business Dealings with Previous Slavic Regime Revealed

By Arseniy Yulanin
An anonymous former executive at Bogun Oil, of which Nikifor Bogun is the CEO, has sent several documents to the Adrikagorod Report which are seemingly evidence of Bogun Oil bribing Duma members to vote more favorably to the company, including bribing a few Duma members with shares in the companies stock to vote against the environmental bill proposed just one month ago.

The failure of that bill lead to the overthrow of Matvei Pavlov and his government, while much of this cannot be definitively proven it will certainly cause significant damage to Boguns presidential campaign, which until now was doing incredibly will, with the most recent polls indicating that he had support from 28% of the population.

With the first round of the election being in just 2 weeks the Bogun campaign will have to perform significant damage control to give him any chance of winning the election.
