Well, IRL-wise, I haven't written anything resembling a fight scene, and even in context, only the immortal knows how to fight (at close quarters, with their fists or sword, or indeed, anything long enough)... which might or might not be useful in this scenario, as neither have had experience fighting in a military unit.

Well, I'm gonna spoil a bit (or spoil it all, I'm a rather bad judge at knowing when to stop): I have in mind two apps. One's the Chinese immortal I mentioned (she's a dancer, around 1300 years old, and very annoyed); the other's a British peer's do-nothing son (who has at hand one of the Round Table's treasures, and has hypothetical access to several).

Which is less OP (or more interesting, or whatever metric you'd use) to you?

The main question is, do they (the character) already exist in RL history/literature? If so, the general rule is no, you can't use them.

I'd rather entertain original character concepts. Also all ACES contractors lacking in the modern military familiarization department have a training program to teach them how to use small arms and basic squad tactics.

I did mention that new gear is rather hard to come by for ACES. And with the theater we're in, he's more likely to come across Zastava M70's so if you wanna rock an AK platform, you can roll with that or an AKM or maybe some former Soviet bloc copies around like an East German or Polish AK variant. That's really my only gripe about the app. Everything else looks good.

And with the theater we're in, he's more likely to come across Zastava M70's so if you wanna rock an AK platform, you can roll with that or an AKM or maybe some former Soviet bloc copies around like an East German or Polish AK variant. That's really my only gripe about the app. Everything else looks good.

If you're looking for an AK variant that can shoot NATO rounds, the best you can probably hope for is a Zastava M80, and even I doubt it's going to be readily available in 1995, despite being a Yugoslav product. The other one is the East German Wieger StG-940, but that's rare even now, as far as I know, for obvious reasons.

I did mention that new gear is rather hard to come by for ACES. And with the theater we're in, he's more likely to come across Zastava M70's so if you wanna rock an AK platform, you can roll with that or an AKM or maybe some former Soviet bloc copies around like an East German or Polish AK variant. That's really my only gripe about the app. Everything else looks good.

Going full active duty in 1985, Duncan was stationed with the 7th Infantry Division for four years before the Invasion of Panama. Duncan would quickly find himself doing advanced infantry training courses and marksmanship programs as he found wrangling his fellow grunts similar to wrangling his younger siblings. He was a Sergeant by the time of the invasion.

The Invasion of Panama would be a turning point in his career as he would work with 75th Ranger Regiment elements in combating paranormal supporters of the Panamanian Defence Force. He observed the high casualties sustained by the local population and the need for more precision units like the Rangers to combat both conventional and paranormal threats. Having become inspired by his experiences, post invasion, Duncan would try out for the Rangers. It would be an absolutely grueling endevour that he'd never want to do again, but was glad he'd reached out and done it.

The decision to leave the United States military came after his service during Operation Restore Hope and Operation Gothic Serpent in Somalia. Even with the enhanced training and presence of special forces operators, what should have been a precision mission ended up a chapter in US military history. Upon discovering ACES, he figured he could make a difference hunting bad guys without being held up by bureaucracy while still maintaining a high level of discretion and minimizing loss of life.

So quick question, when you mentioned a couple vehicles leaving Vrela earlier, how many were there, and what make/model/colour were they? Civilian looking vics, military looking?

As for our insertion into Ilijas proper, are there any checkpoints near the bridges/the ground level highway? Any sniper positions on the roof tops?
