“Welcome back everyone. My name is Maria Harvey with your coverage of international politics here on GNN. Today is a very important day in the international community with a new session of the Assembly of Nations beginning later this week. This will be the Assembly’s 54th session this year, and world leaders and delegations from all across the globe are heading to the International City of Olympus to take part. Let’s talk with our very own Jamie Brooks who is there live. Good morning Jamie how are you?”
“I’m great Maria thanks. Yes, today is a very important day for the people of Greater Olympus as delegations from all across the globe reconvene for this session of the AN. I’ve talked to several staffers here in Olympus and they are excited to begin working again.”
“That’s wonderful Jamie. What seems to be the general atmosphere around the city?”
“Well, Maria everyone I have talked to is optimistic that this year’s session will be able to solve some of the important issues facing our planet.”
“Great. Have you seen any delegations or world leaders arriving yet?”
“Not yet Maria It’s still a little too early in the morning, but it’s shaping up to be a great day out here. We have received word that many delegations will be arriving tonight and will attend the opening ceremony on Friday.”
“Yes, and we will have live coverage of the opening ceremony here on GNN where the Secretary-General Domènec Duesaigües, a Rodavese, will be making a speech welcoming everyone to this year’s session alongside speeches from other delegations. Following the ceremony, the assembly will vote on current speaker Leif Sondrol, a Storsnian, replacement from among a group of qualified candidates. Thank you very much, Jamie we will be checking in with you throughout the week on the opening ceremony.”
“Thank you, Maria.”
“We’re gonna go to a quick commercial break here and we’ll be right back with more coverage on the Assembly of Nations.”
