However the Avanuirians differ with long ears with sharp ends pointed towards the back of the head and a pale skin color with a slight blue hue. It is believed in the primary religion in Alylnor that Rostil was birthed when the gods came across the planet in utter chaos. The gods soon grew jealous of each other and war breaks out spreading all sorts of bestial evil across the planet. Dying gods gave birth to Rostil as it is now and the Avanuirian Elves are the molded servants who now serve as the messengers and stewards of the gods who have all fled to heaven.
Formed in different situations throughout history with the confederation or annexation of Avanurian Tribes, the Commonwealth of Alylnor is a constitutional monarchy made up of primary Avanuirian Elves. Unlike their Flendrehli brother and sisters who have retreated into isolation from the international commmunity, the Avanuirians continue to have relationships with the other nations. However while the Avanuirians are not warmongers, they are no pacifist either and are not afraid to resort to more “hostile” actions to defend their influence in the international community.
The government consists of a monarch who is not completely powerless but rather binded by a constitution as a result of the Othnius revolution. The Avanuirians represent themselves through a representative bicarmael parliamentary system made up of numerous parties. The government normally switches between left and right leaning parties but there is also a increasingly strong contingent of nationalism hell bent on returning the god given powers to the monarch. ADDITIONAL INFORMATION What role do you envision yourself playing in international relations?: Alylnor would be a projecting nation of Rostil seeking to protect interests in the region almost always with diplomatic or economical power but will use force when it is deemed necessary. Hostile powers will likely face pressure from Alylnor if it is believe that they pose a threat to the nation. Alylnor would happily cooperate with foreign powers in geopolitical alliances and other treaties if it believed it would advance their influence in the region. Critically discuss the strengths of your nation (esp. military & economic) and how they may affect existing regional power structures: Alylnor is a capable military and economic nation within the region especially with allies. However the nation faces an increasingly polarization of the political arena and nationalists are applying political pressure onto the democratic parties.
As for regional power structures, Alylnor would be an additional nation who could potentially back other nations, likely democracies but the Avanuirians aren’t particularly picky. As long as it protects their interests. If asked to reduce the strength of your nation, how would you do so?: I suppose I would reduce the power projection capabilities and make it more limited by the democratic process.
