SAVIGLIANE NATIONAL TEAM ROSTER
DI BRADINI CUP 51
The youth pipeline is starting to dry up as some of Savigliane’s brightest stars are forced into retirement, and with the Swans’ future in question, the suits have decided to send a team to the Di Bradini Cup. They’re not really here to win, but instead develop the younger generation of players and squeeze them into the mold that is Tlanxball. There’s the personnel to do some interesting things with 3ATB, but with Tlanx’s assistant manager Marco Giuliani at the helm, they absolutely will not do that. Some basic information about Savigliane can be found in my first WCQ RP or my BoF/WCQ RP line. Essentially, the nation has been teleported to the NS world from an IRL equivalent and is still working through the fallout of that event.
NICKNAME: The Swans / The Red and Blues
MANAGER: Marco GIULIANI - 50
Assistant manager of the senior side, here to impose Tlanxball on the kids. Recently sacked by Parakleion Firebirds after a dismal start to the season, Giuliani vacated the hole left by the departure of Natalia Rossi to Kelssek’s Kirkenes FC. Giuliani is a talented young manager best known for turning EDC Fossano, previously a yo-yo club who played a dour, defensive style, into an attack-minded midtable club within three years. An excellent man-manager and tactician (offensively), Giuliani is now looking to make the next step - maybe success striking out on his own could be what he needs to get back in the eye of prospective employers.
STYLE MOD: +3.5
FORMATION: 4-3-3
Captain - Alexandre Onio
Vice-Captains - Valentina Gastaldo, Michael Toussaint
Penalty Takers (in order of preference) - Valentina Gastaldo, Sofia Mercanti, Celestino Dutto, Elizabeth Blanc, Alexandre Onio
Free Kick Taker - Luca Cambiaso
Corner-Kick Taker - Sofia Mercanti (L), Luca Cambiaso (R)
RP PERMISSIONS:
Kits: Made with love by uni·q · for the game that’s more than a game.

TACTICS
"TlanxBall", a dynamic 4-3-3 setup, has promised - and immediately delivered - attractive results on the senior level. In possession, the focus will be on retaining possession and moving the ball forward vertically, with the base of the midfield three serving as a deep-lying playmaker, and two attack-minded 8s aggressively pushing forwards with the ball or using diagonal passes when they can. In build-up, the base will drop back to form a triangle with the other center-backs, with the fullbacks drifting in and out to serve as wide options to carry the ball up the flanks if necessary. The aim while in possession will be to rapidly shift the ball forward before using quick interchanges and dynamic movement in the attacking third of the pitch. To aid this, the inside forwards (and occasionally the two midfielders) will go wide and into the half-spaces to stretch the opposition defense before playing back through the center or switching play to the now-exposed opposite flank.
Defensively, Savigliane will play a relatively high line, aiming to compress the opposition's build-up toward the sidelines and pressing immediately after losing the ball. The Swans will rely on the pace and tactical instincts of their back four to cover what is a pretty attack-minded "front six", especially since the fullbacks will both be pushing forward if necessary to maintain dynamism in possession.
#1-11 are the preferred starters.
GOALKEEPERS
#01 - GK - Gianfranco GIGLIO - 20 - TSV Marzig (STL)
A 6'7" freak of nature, Giglio is incredibly raw but has the athleticism to be one of the world's great shot-stoppers.
#12 - GK - Narcisa ROUSSEAU - 21 - Saint-Adelin des Mercantores
A fearless leader of defenses and claimer of corners. Poor with distribution, and can have a bit of a temper.
#23 - GK - Ottavia RINALDI - 19 - Rutland FC (CDG)
Modern sweeper-keeper with excellent distribution abilities and instincts. Also, five-eight.
DEFENDERS
#02 - LB/CB - Martin DESROCHES - 20 - Pyathora Mariners (TKT)
A versatile, athletic defender, but one who hasn't come close to his full potential with SAdM or abroad.
#03 - CB - Alexandre ONIO (C) - 21 - 1896 Ebor (MYT)
A lithe, classy center-back with strong passing abilities. Brought down from the senior team exclusively to serve as team captain and help the others acclimate.
#04 - CB - Michael TOUSSAINT - 21 - Straton FC (TMB)
Young but surprisingly classy center-back with excellent passing. Blossomed abroad with Straton while filling Stephen Kerr’s shoes.
#05 - RB - Luca CAMBIASO - 21 - Couno Rangers (TMB)
Strong, composed fullback who's surprisingly good at set-piece delivery, having scored four free-kicks last season with Nazionale.
#13 - LB - Nicolas DuBOIS - 19 - Villeneuve NSC
Pacy, tricky fullback who can serve as a spark-plug off the bench, but isn’t as solid as Desroches defensively.
#14 - CB - Celia BIANCHI - 20 - Triidau Rukiya (PFA)
Fearless on the ball, composed off of it. Bianchi is a few miles an hour away from being the archetypal modern center-back.
#15 - CB - Celina BLANCO - 19 - Nazionale Acqui Bollente
Swans vice-captain Chiara’s younger sister, Celina has all the determination and athleticism of a Blanco, but isn’t quite as skilled.
#16 - RB - Gianni ESPOSITO - 20 - Castiglione
Athletic and technically gifted, but doesn’t quite have the edge needed to get to the next level.
MIDFIELDERS
#06 - CM - Elia GROSSI - 21 - Scharfwick Flames (MRT)
An athletic, high-energy midfielder who always gives 110%. Unfortunately, this is generally not enough to be good at football, and Grossi's lack of discipline and vulnerability to skilled opposition will need to be worked on.
#08 - CM/AM - Celestino DUTTO - 21 - Star of Confederation (KSK)
Braggadocious midfielder who can do a little bit of everything.
#10 - CM/AM - Sabine FAUCHER - 21 - Keers Kannoneers (MRT)
A hard-working midfielder with a penchant for penetrating runs and sending easily-scorable chances twelve feet over the crossbar.
#17 - CM - Gaël RIQUETI - 20 - Stade-Ferre Trinité
Strong, solid defensive midfielder who just needs a bit of a passing touch.
#19 - CM - Federico ARNAUDO - 19 - San Ludovico
Energetic, pacy box-to-box type. Weirdly good at set pieces, both delivering and receiving.
#21 - CM/AM - Alice JÉGOU - 19 - FC Rizieres
Methodical playmaker with excellent field vision, but somewhat one-dimensional.
FORWARDS
#07 - LW - Sofia MERCANTI - 21 - Grande Mountain (CDG)
Highlight factory whose pace and skill allows her to blow by defenders. Likes to drift centrally and cut inside. Weak defensively. New Player of the Year in Cassadaigua.
#09 - ST - Elizabeth BLANC - 21 - Francesca Orient (BRE)
Not the best finisher, but a hard-working, playmaking forward with a lot of ambition.
#11 - RW - Valentina GASTALDO - 21 - Glenmount Town (TLI)
A deadly passer and crosser who uses her speed to hug the touchline and burst past defenders. Here so the FA can scope out whether she can play as an inverted winger at the senior level; expect her to cut inside and go for goal often.
#18 - LW - Laurent BÉRINGER - 20 - Peru Urzagui (TEQ)
Hard-working, always tracks back, and makes incisive runs, but can't cross for shit.
#20 - ST - Héloïse ABELARD - 21 - Valnohar Rovers FC (TKT)
Always moving and cutting, Abelard is a predatory penalty-box finisher but deemed too one-dimensional for Riziéres.
#22 - RW - Gabriella GENTILE - 20 - Folte (GRF)
An intelligent winger whose passing and crossing make up for her lack of pace.
