Kurtzman doesn't read the forum man, so it's just us you're annoying.

Look I get it, nuTrek isn't your thing. You hate it. You're allowed to hate it. but for the love of God can we just stop with the barbing and shitting on it every time? Take a day off for once. Let an episode slide, let us heathens have our moment in the sun of saying what we like about It.

And I know I'm a chief offender, and I'm gonna try to be better about it.

I dunno, about Tendi. I mean I was getting some very manipulative and controlling vibes from her on this one. Like, I get she's supposed to be emotionally immature, but "I'm gonna cut you're brain out so you go back to doing what I want?" is hard to pivot back to "I just care about you and our friendship." Didn't really land with me.

But the whole Ransom trying to eat the Cerritos because he's no longer the favorite, was epic.

Let me think...no. Lower Dreck is the worst thing to happen to Star Trek since Nemesis, and it deserves every bit of vitriol I give it.

It almost worked. The build up was so on point, but then fell flat when the melody kicked in and it wasn't the NX-01 bouncing around in space.

So I was rearranging things in my living space, and put on a random DS9 episode for background noise. It was Through the Looking Glass, and partway through a flotilla of Klingon/Cardassian Alliance ships decloaked in order to capture the protagonists...but several seasons later, I remember that there is an episode called The Emperor's New Cloak which revolves almost entirely around the Mirror Universe getting a cloaking device in the first place...

oof

What are you talking about? Everyone knows there were never any retcons or continuity goofs anywhere in pre-JJ/Kurtzman Star Trek.

They really do play fast and loose with the existential horror device that is the transporter. It's a smart way of getting Boimler back to the Cerritos from the Titan, but yikes.

Dukat's Damar hallucination wasn't wrong, without him the war was lost and Cardassia wound up a ruin.

I absolutely love the latest episode of Lower Decks (We'll always have Tom Paris), and it is almost exclusively because of the character development with D'vana Tendi and Beckett Mariner. I really want to learn more about Beckett's relationships and Tendi's history now. I think we should get more Rutherford and Boimer team ups, and Tendi and Mariner team ups this season.

Star Trek Lower Decks is just so amazing, I can't keep from squealing.

Yep, it's the second Defiant after the one years earlier in TOS, although it's merely getting heavily damaged in the scene. The movie producers apparently did plan to have the ship destroyed, although the people being DS9 weren't favorable of that and the damage was scaled back.

This is at best borderline trolling, which you would do well not to say you're going to do much less actually engage in. You are always free to simply not post. If this thread's community - including yourself - cannot stop this thread from being inexplicably toxic, then the thread will simply be locked.
