Federal Constitutional Court announces trial to determine if AFE violated constitution

Following an inquiry into the AFE National Commission, the Federal Constitutional Court announced a trial to determine if its leaders “willingly attempted to subvert Eurum’s Constitution and democratic systems,” which would be a federal crime. The inquiry was launched after the discovery of corruption in the 2017 trial of Eurum v. AFE National Commission, where a company known as New Start, Inc. paid 4 judges to deliver a ruling that favored the AFE party, and it managed to track down the leaders of New Start, Inc. Those leaders included the leaders of the AFE party.

Chancellor Deleria praised the court for concluding the inquiry quickly, stating that it proved that the court had not been bribed as they had been before. In the same statement, he also denounced the Alternative for Eurum party’s leaders for the bribery that they had been accused of.

The trial begins on August 5, and will be publicly broadcasted on the Eurum National Broadcasting Service.

Bombs detonated in Chancellery, Parliament building; Chancellor in critical condition

At 9:30 PM, a bomb detonated at the Chancellery, the office housing the executive branch of Eurum’s government. The detonation point appeared to be the Chancellor’s Office. 3 minutes later, another bomb detonated at the Parliament Building as the Members of Parliament assembled for a meeting. So far, it is confirmed that 35 Members of Parliament have died, and 25 are injured. The Chancellor is also in critical condition after being injured by the bomb at the Chancellery. The Tania Police, Capitol Complex Police, and Federal Police Service have cordoned off the roads leading into the Capitol Complex, and a state of emergency has been declared by the District Mayor of Tania.

Due to the Chancellor’s injury, the Vice Chancellor has temporarily assumed the powers of the Chancellor. He has declared that Eurum shall find and capture the terrorists responsible for the attack, and put them before a court of law.
