I think I’ve been reading too much Worm fanfiction recently because I keep thinking ‘parahuman’ when the term used in this RP is ‘metahuman’.

She even heard the voice of her mother, who disappeared in 2006, telling her to never give up. By plotting from within, Marie gathered her allies and formulate her agenda to save her people from her father.

Millions of Germans, Flemish, Walloons, and Dutch were enslaved and worked to death building the foundations for Napoleon's return. It was clear that Marie was as dangerous as she was insane whose power lies in her healing blood, a resource untouchable elsewhere in the world, and the fervent loyalty inspired in her anti-Nazi French subjects.

Healing Blood can only affect living mammal and reptile tissue. Once the organic material has reach the stage of necrosis, healing blood will no longer have any effect.

There is a popular misconception that Healing Blood grants meta powers but that is a fallacy since it only heals damaged bodies while granting a short term boost of strength and endurance. Of course, that doesn't stop some humans from consuming her blood like alcoholics in a free beer bar.

Additional physical features: Hussain aged very slowly, starting when he reached forty-five years. The cause of this is unknown, even to him. Most likely it would be a side effect of his brain mutation. Thus even though being 83 years old he would still appear as a middle-aged man, about 48 to 50 years of age.
Personality: Hussain is a cold and stern man who rules his domain with an iron fist. He is very concerned with maintaining order and the class system in Great Nusantara, knowing full well that the region is very prone to becoming a powder keg of revolutions and rebellions. Hussain is calculating and methodical; he rarely ventures into battle, instead preferring his lieutenants, lords, and children to deal with his enemies under his supervision. However that does not meant he feared combat; he participated in many battles and even massacres years ago, although most of which he despised. Hussain is a staunch traditionalist and conservative; the people in Great Nusantara lives according to a strictly regulated moral code enshrined in the Constitution (of which he wrote half), among other things forbidding homosexuality, enforcing state-dictated religious doctrines, and establishing an excelent social security and education system.
Abilities:

• Flight: Hussain possess a pair of wings spanning nearly two metres in length each (from tip to his back). The wings are made of a metal-like substance, completely bulletproof (it can shield him from bullets). He can release small, metal blades of feather from his wing as a projectile when he flaps his wing with force. It allows him to fly up to 100 metres above ground, hence the name Garuda. He possess hollow, light, yet very hard bones to support his structure in flight.
• Telepathy: A mutation in his brain allows Hussein to communicate with other people using only his mind, and it also allows him to probe into people's thoughts without them noticing. A side effect of this ability is that telepathy floods his minds with images and sounds coming from the minds of other people, overwhelming his own brain. He is reliant on drugs (including heroin and methampethamine), as well as frequent meditation sessions, to control this. This is also an embarassment to him considering he has bulit the image of a conservative and stern monarch staunchly opposing drug addiction.
• Mind Control: Hussein can attempt to control the minds of other people, with varying degrees of success. While he is often considered one of the best telepaths in the world, trained people can resist his mind control attempt, which if backfires can cause a considerable damage to his mind - both physically and mentally. He often employs mind control and telepathy to frighten rebellious nobles and unruly human leaders causing trouble in his domain.

Biography: Ali Sharif Hussain Datuk Rajo was born on the mountainous town of Sawahlunto, West Sumatra, to a family of minor Minangkabau nobility. His father, a former Dutch civil servant, was imprisoned at the time of his birth by the Japanese occupation forces. His mother comes from a family of landlords and renowned ulema - Islamic scholars and religious leaders respected in Sumatra. Hussain, as he was commonly known, was raised in a conservative family and would often spend his days at the town surau (Islamic school). When he was ten years old, the Netherlands invaded their former colony (Dutch East Indies) in effort to regain their possessions after the Japanese left - and native leaders declared the independence of a new country. His mother was accidentally shot by a KNIL (Koninkjlik Nederlands Indische Leger) soldier during a raid, later that year. His father, instead of cooperating with the Dutch as expected of a civil servant, took up arms and joined the new, hastily-formed Indonesian Army guerilla unit. Hussain was left in a nearby surau under the care of the local imam.

These events traumatized him, and he became radicalized over the next years. The imam taught him how to read. Occassionally, Indonesian guerillas would take shelter at the school, bringing their loot with them, including numerous books. He studied English, Dutch, and Malay literature - despite never attending a formal school. He immediately enlisted on the Indonesian Army at nineteen - Hussain held a deep grudge against the Dutch (and Europeans, as well as Americans in general). After several years of training was sent to North Sulawesi, where he fought the CIA-backed Permesta rebellion as a corporal. The military was rather new and quite disorganized, so as a veteran, Hussain quickly advanced through the ranks and becoming a captain by the age of 26.

In 1963, Indonesia entered a conflict with Great Britain over the formation of a new state in the former British colony of Malaya and North Borneo (Malaysia). Indonesian President Soekarno, cautious of sending an exhausted Army just finishing deployment in Papua, ordered infiltration teams to be formed in order to take over several settlements in Borneo. After the failure of initial infiltrations, and news that the British had begun their own infiltration operations (Operation Claret), the Indonesian government decided to seek the help of the Soviet Union - not in arms or warships as the Soviets had provided in the past, but in weaponizing soldiers.

Ten candidates, including him, were selected from various battalions (Hassan being a paratrooper), and was sent to Yekaterinburg, a city on the Ural Mountains where several Soviet metahuman experimentations took place in the past. Nevertheless, on direct orders of Soekarno, Hussain was immediately deployed as a support unit - a one-man support unit - to aid the Indonesian troops (and Malayan Communist Party insurgents) in the war. His arrival was a great boon for the Indonesian forces, since they were able to ambush the British forces more successfully. Hostilities came to an abrupt end, however, when Indonesia, wary of growing British ire and international sanctions, halted Konfrontasi and allowed for the new state of Malaysia to form peacefully. Hussain's contributions was highly noted, but his participation remains very classified. For the next two years he was stationed in faraway Papua, the Indonesian government deciding to keep him out of the public eye.

He would again participate in combat when the Indonesian Communist Party (PKI) launched a coup on September 1965, killing prominent Army generals. General Suharto, a hardline nationalistic military commander, led a purge to exterminate the Communist Party in retaliation. Over 3 million Communists and alleged Communist sympathizers were murdered from 1965 to 1967. Hussain took part on several of the campaigns, although he despised such massacres. Brief history: With the chaos of the coup gripping Europe (no doubt exacerbated by Nemain's manipulation), The Morrígan was able to seize control of the European Union by turning politicians on each other for suspicion of aiding the metahumans. As they argued, with some going as far as to attack each other, the building in Strasbourg began to be overtaken by vines and other greenery. They constricted the building, causing damage to the exterior, but also kept it from collapsing. As the fear began to spread throughout the Parliament, a crow flew into the chamber and perched upon the dais. No one paid it any mind until its form swirled in a cloud of darkness into that of a young woman, a woman who spoke with the voices of three. She declared herself to be The Morrígan, a goddess from ancient Irish folklore, and proclaimed that she was seizing control of Europe as mankind had done enough damage to the world with its chance. None of the MEPS took her threats seriously but it didn't matter as the flora around the building crushed it, killing everyone inside. After a few more demonstrations of violence, resistance against the new regime all but stopped as the rest of the world came to terms with their new masters.

After the war was over, the Isle of Mann, the city of Cornwall along with the entirety of Wales and Scotland were rebuilt, but the rest of England was left in ruins with abominations wandering the overgrown forests she'd seeded there.

They constricted the building, causing damage to the exterior, but also kept it from collapsing. As the fear began to spread throughout the Parliament, a crow flew into the chamber and perched upon the dais. No one paid it any mind until its form swirled in a cloud of darkness into that of a young woman, a woman who spoke with the voices of three. She declared herself to be The Morrígan, a goddess from ancient Irish folklore, and proclaimed that she was seizing control of Europe as mankind had done enough damage to the world with its chance. None of the MEPS took her threats seriously but it didn't matter as the flora around the building crushed it, killing everyone inside. After a few more demonstrations of violence, resistance against the new regime all but stopped as the rest of the world came to terms with their new masters.

Columbia had never planned to be President, she'd made that clear to Juliana Kelvin since the beginning and for that Juliana was secretly grateful. Although they had been close since Juliana could remember, she'd always been troubled by her friend's ruthless streak. 'Whatever the cost' was never really an attitude that entered into the Kelvin lexicon: it could be said that the ever-idealistic Juliana just didn't have it in her to do things that went against her ever-active conscience.
On the night of 31 December 1999, Juliana was given a very important task by Columbia. It was her job to secure the various members of the American cabinet (dead or alive) and ensure that they would not present a threat to the metahumans plans. It was at this point that she truly put her long-held nickname to the test: she showed the world why she was known as 'the dream witch.'
Juliana moved in very high circles within Washington society and so it was no trouble whatsoever to get herself invited to an exclusive ball at the white house hosted by the president and attended by the vast majority of America's political elite. Using her powers on so many people simultaneously was much harder however, and when Columbia hit Juliana with the news that she would have to keep them in such a state forever it almost broke her long-time friend.
There was however nobody more suited than Juliana to hold the reins of power once Columbia went with her lover and son to live in near isolation: Juliana was the metahuman who mixed with politicians and knew the art of ruling, she was the one with the charming and beautiful face and most importantly of all she was dedicated to making life better for the people she would be ruling. The only downside was one that Columbia didn't know...one she was hiding from her: the final order she had been given on 31 December 1999 was slowly but surely killing her.
The changes to the way of life in North America were swift, positive and came with very little opposition from the majority of the normal human population. Crime rates dropped, education and scientific knowledge was improved and many areas of life, including in relation to freedom of speech, drug-taking and freedom to bear arms became far more permissive. The North American economy grew, all children received a good education and unlike in many areas of the world there were none of the clampdowns on dissent and public life that characterised the lives of those unlucky enough to live outside of Juliana's domaine. Not that she was stopping anybody from moving into her lands of course: Juliana Kelvin made it extremely clear that those who wished to move to North America were free to do so. Although she was regularly told in increasingly alarmed tones by her fellow rulers that this open-door policy meant that it was incredibly easy for resistance cells to take hold, by some miracle she never suffered any major violent outbreaks.
The reason for this was most likely that the ordinary humans who lived under her didn't have much of a reason to complain: even following the takeover areas of the country were essentially self-governing...albeit self-governing with the threat of unpleasantness should they slip up hanging over their heads.

The war with the resistance turned out to be the point at which the other rulers stopped trusting Juliana Kelvin. As the united front formed to oppose the might of the world, Juliana was singularly useless. When attacks from north American forces came they were often too little and too late, resulting in a belief that her commitment to the war effort was lacking. In fact she had not been seen in action in person since its beginning.
From the image projected of a smiling and healthy-looking woman nobody could ever have guessed just how much she was struggling inside. The strain of maintaining her dream hold over more than a thousand people 24 hours a day had left her with headaches that sent her fleeing to the relative comfort of her room on regular occasions. While they continually requested help in their war none of the other rulers ever thought to ask several important questions of the woman they saw on their video screens. They didn't ask her how she was, nor why she always seemed so distant. They never even thought to ask her why she now would only communicate digitally or why sometimes the shape of those beautiful red lips didn't match the words that were coming out.
It was at this point when Juliana Kelvin would look into the mirror to see her prematurely wrinkled face and fold her cracked hands across her chest. It was at this point as another headache overcame her and she held her hand down that the truth of the matter settled on her stooped shoulders: Columbia had never meant for her to rule.

On the 27th of July 2009 Juliana Elizabeth Kelvin, 48, head of the Kelvin dynasty that controlled North America died peacefully in her sleep at the age of 41. She was survived by her 3 sons, 21-year old triplets named Josiah, Gabriel and Isaac Kelvin and her estranged husband Marrius. The cause of death remains unknown and the family have stressed their right to privacy at this difficult time.

There didn't seem to be much mourning among the Kelvin brothers at the untimely death of their mother. Indeed life started much as usual for them: Gabriel went for his morning run, Isaac made sure he was looking his best for the statement they would have to give and as he sat up to greet the day Josiah reached for the comforting shape of the whiskey bottle. Whiskey made the voices in his head go away after all. It was almost as if the death of their mother had not come as any surprise to them.
