@Clara Österreich-Toskana, @Elin of the Banks of the Bán River: To answer your question, Elin, I'm actually pretty great. It's a night out for me at the moment, and I'm spending it at Kalibo. Sure, I could go all the way to Malay, but you can only see so much of Boracay Island before you start to consider diversifying your weekend jaunts. What of either of you?

@Clara Österreich-Toskana, @Dr. Sergio Jose D. Mate, MD, PhD, FVSOG: I am currently en route to a party of some foreign dignitary or the other. BI sent me out to scout, whether or not that country might be a good market for us. They are on the fence about them, though. If that fails, I am sure, that a lot of different people are there.

@Clara Österreich-Toskana, @Dr. Sergio Jose D. Mate, MD, PhD, FVSOG: The fact, that the country I am visiting, the Emirate of Dar Al-Badw, has this thing of selling the workpower of indentured servants, which some, including myself, might call slavery. That, and they Muslims, so some of our fashion might not go over too well...

@Clara Österreich-Toskana, @Elin of the Banks of the Bán River: ...I see what you mean, and to be honest, I'm not sure what to say. Granted, I'm no stranger to Muslim sensibilities, what with Panay home to quite a few vibrant Sabahan emigre communities; the Bangsamoro Rojo may have annexed Sabah, but those Reds just couldn't screw over the Sabahan completely.
But I digress: the Emirate of Dar Al-Badw doesn't sound like much fun in that case.

@Anastasija Kladnov: At the very least I can see personal amusement as the motivation for people using their native languages, or as we put it: wala lang, trip lang namin 'to ("nothing really, this just amused us").
One of the fun things about Tagalog is that it has an inclusive we (tayo, atin, natin) and an exclusive we (kami, amin, namin); the same goes for Cebuano, if I remember correctly (kita/kami being inclusive/exclusive we, respectively). Another is the boatload of misunderstanding that ensues when native Tagalog speakers and native Cebuano speakers mix; unless you get them to speak English, Spanish, or Mandarin, fun times await everyone involved.

Albert Charles D. Cardinal Cortez Tagbilaran, BH
With the recent motu proprio issued by the Holy Father regulating the celebration of the Extraordinary Form (Traditionis Custodes), it is no surprise that many of the Confederation's TLM communities are either confused or up in arms. Given the prevalence of what some would call borderline schismatics in the ranks of those communities, the regulations couldn't have come sooner.
Exercising the duty of my office as Archbishop of Tagbilaran, Masses in the Extraordinary Form will still be celebrated in the Archdiocese, be it here in the Cathedral, in shrines, or in those parishes that already maintain a regular schedule of Mass in the Extraordinary Form.

Fr. (CDR) Tecumseh C. Piañar Bacolod, NG
The Gospel reading for today, the Seventeenth Sunday in Ordinary Time under the Ordinary Form, is Jn 6:1-15, where Jesus feeds 5000 men and an unmentioned, though presumably greater, number of women and children from five loaves and two fish. In the Extraordinary Form, the reading for the Ninth Sunday after Pentecost is Lk 19:41-47, which covers The Lament for Jerusalem (vv.41-44) and the Cleansing of the Temple (vv. 45-47).
The Feeding of the 5000 is one of two miracles collectively referred to as The Feeding of the Multitude, and the only one of them mentioned in all four Gospels; the other miracle, the Feeding of the 4000, is narrated only in the Gospels of Ss. Matthew (Mt 15:32-39) and Mark (Mk 8:1-9).
Traditionis Custodes has been quite the surprise for the faithful both here in Naval Station Bacolod and its immediate environs; that being said, Archbishop Salvi has given permission to those chaplains already competent in offering Mass in the Extraordinary Form--which for this base means all three Catholic chaplains, Commander Torreon from JSAC included--to continue doing so in those military parishes that maintain a schedule of the same; this means there will be no changes to the schedule here in La Parroquia Militar de Sta. Barbara.

Wow, a whole month. It honestly feels like it's been longer than that... Anyway, I have good news! The treatment the people here have been working on is a success so far. I just need to take this new medicine periodically and I can get by on just normal food. They still need to check up with me for a while to make sure it works in the long term, but I don't have to stay in this facility anymore and soon I'll get to visit my friends over near the capital.

On the 1500-2400 shift right now, and if there's one thing I can really look forward to in this shift, it's letting off some steam more or less immediately after work. Firing up the PC in my apartment for a round or two of DOTA 2 sounds like a plan once I call it a day...

@CEO Ayako Martin different America I presume. The states don't really do cybernetics iirc, stuff's been bogged-down pretty much since its gotten big though really it seems the whole West is allergic to it. Good tidings to you and your company though, foreign stuff's always different and quite a bit more interesting than what we have at home imo.
