With groups, the current proposed ones sound good and we should make sure everyone has somebody to interact with when we start.
I was wondering more about the urban rate then the population itself. I don't usually calculate this high a rate of people in the production of foodstuff in cities. However, I guess with the monsters and such it's more likely, people will flee to the walled cities if there is space, even if it means a longer way to the field. Plus with empty living space for 120,000 people I guess by now there is a good deal of in-city gardening going on and of course, just because there used to be 180,000 people and now there are 60,000 does not mean that 120,000 died in the city. Way more died and the difference migrated to the city and brought with them whatever stockpiles they had (and could salvage from their rural neighbors who have been eaten by monsters ) so ... I guess one can find explanations why there is barely any rural population left and yet there is still a decent number of people in the cities...

Indeed. It seemed like Julia and Polly would be a good fit because of their previous stated connection to the monarchy. However I wonder if Hattie and Polly might work as well because Julia isn’t in the capital to my knowledge. Armir, Merlin and Saoirse seemed good because they share a deity connection, however if Saoirse Emmett with Julia they’d share a knight connection. Then that leaves 4 characters left. That’s another option. It depends how we want to group characters I suppose.

Tilian has just kinda been wandering across the Kingdom at this point, so he can start just about anywhere honestly. I was just planning on having him be fairly close to the gathering of Demigods because his only motivation toward it is "It's bound to be a good time"

The non-demigods who got the dream are probably consulting there. Therefore, the top moon goddess expert is probably there. Of course, we can meet on the way there. In fact, "journey to the capital" sounds like a good way to introduce the characters.
I suggest the characters that are geographically closest meet in route. Then when they arrive in the capital the constellation can be reconfigured.
It should also be made clear how dangerous it is to travel and how we protect our characters from the black snow.

Well, I suppose I should let y'all know that I finally got this finished.

Meeting those closest makes sense. I think that’s why we were trying to figure out where everyone was. Now that we have a better idea of where people are, that should help facilitate a good start.
Meeting in the capital also makes sense.
I think things are going alright so far. A bit slower maybe, but we’ve got a decent roster, good rp material, and people contributing ideas. It seems like a decent foundation to start from and see how it goes.
I’m terms of travel dangers it has been mentioned that the climate is colder, and there is a fur industry to go along with that. There are bandits, cultists, hags and other monsters on the road. The black snow seems to give one diseases with a touch. As demigods it is the only thing we aren’t immune or resistant to. So traveling is dangerous. How to protect against that seems to be wearing proper clothing vs elements, and seeking shelter in snow and rain storms. I’m uncertain what happens when black snow gets in the water supply though.
I’d be curious about other thoughts on this area as well though.

Not entirely. O is in the North, Azron has entered the Kingdom from the North. I was thinking that he mostly has stayed in the wilderness, and possibly gone around R ( there are two Rs for some reason, the more eastern one the one referred to here). However, after reading about how dangerous it is outside the city, I am not sure that makes sense.
I am not sure that the cities would be safer. First, you need people to farm the land. 90% of people in the middle ages farmed the land. Maybe that includes manor owners, but still a lot of people. Second, in a city, people are closer together so the disease spreads faster. Third, I am not sure what sort of shelter you need to protect yourself from the black snow. Maybe a thatched roof works? One could easily build small huts near the fields, or in them for people to run to. As far as monsters, there are presumably castles in the country or fortified houses. That was typical in the middle ages. Of course, the small hamlets would disappear, and many villages. Spreading out, however increases the chance of survival.
Of course, there would be a shortage of workers. It is possible some crafts died out because the craftsmen died. The massive deaths would be that there would be an oversupply of 2nd hand goods so most of the craftsmen would go into farming anyway.
