It is (almost) any fan's dream to have the top three of a table separated by one point. And the TPL is delivering this dream to the masses, mostly courtesy of the Bul Khungur Miners, whose 2-1 win over the Guillarim Blades not only catapulted them up by 4 spots, but also knocked the Blades off the top of the mountain. Ellis Wagstaff scored the golden goal for the Tikariot City FC in their win against Meriador FC, allowing them to go one point clear of Eivora and Guillarim once more, stoking the hopes for a successful title defense for the Snowy Owls. Eivora in the meantime did not take any prisoners, sending the Avanaroch White Wings back to Paladon with a crushing 0-5 defeat, with Angus Guinness scoring a brace in what would push Eivora ahead of Guillarim on goal difference. And the perils for the Frahulian surprise team just keep piling up as fourth-placed Baraldhur AFC is now only three points behind them with a superior goal difference, thanks to a 4-0 win over Vantanoch, with two-time Player of the Year Morris Nighthorse adding two goals, bringing his season's tally to nine now.
The now obligatory weekly Ancarea watch is reporting 15 unbeaten games in a row now, after a 1-1 against the Parakleion Firebirds, who are now unbeaten in five themselves and are in 16th position now. Looking further down, Fort Viljan has finally passed on the red lantern after a 3-2 win over Port Rhovanyon AFC, where an outstanding performance by Audun Myrdal made all the difference in wrestling down the kraken and recording their second win in three games, pushing Nagoush down into the last spot after they could not hold on to a half-time lead against the Pyathora Mariners, falling 1-2 in the end. Fort Viljan are still four points adrift of 22nd, however, as Dhun Lagarr continue their upwards trajectory with a 1-0 win in Veriasod, bringing them level with Morannon Athletic, whose 0-1 loss in Miruan did not do them any favours, actually replacing Miruan in the red zone.
Once more the TPL has managed to see the first three teams lose in sync, bunching the field at the top of the table ever closer together. Leading Tikariot City FC suffered a surprising 0-2 defeat in Vantanoch, but at a closer look they also lost striker Masada Katano with a red card after only 22 minutes, which put an early damper on things and losing Choam Osfomilúo to a torn muscle fibre after having exhausted their substitutions late in the game put a lid on any hopes for a comeback. Eivora Athletic fared no better, losing with the same result in Meriador, who managed to stop an 8-game winless streak driven by an outstanding performance by striker Lawrence Bowden, who scored the first and provided the assist for the second goal, giving the hoops some slight breather in the battle against relegation.
The Guillarim Blades were the only of the top three to play at home, but in the end the Oriannor Mountaineers proved too much for them in a rightly contested 2-3 loss where both Adam Dodd and Chester Cartwright provided braces for their respective teams. And finally fourth-placed Baraldhur AFC did not manage to get past a disappointing goalless draw in Pyathora, which cost them their IFCF qualification spot at least for the time being with Oriannor sweeping past. Tikariot City is still in the lead with 54 points, one point ahead of Eivora and Guillarim, but both Oriannor and Baraldhur are only two points behind them now, setting things up for a very interesting finish to the season.
In mid-table Ancarea's magical run of unbeaten games ended at 15 when Dhun Lagarr recorded their third win in a row thanks to an early goal by Hamish Stainthorpe, lifting them from 22nd to 18th and out of the relegation zone for the first time since match day 22. This means that Miruan City have dropped back into the red zone after a 1-1 draw in Anhedron, keeping them level on points, but one goal behind the Avanaroch White Wings in 20th, who also only managed a draw against Bul Khungur. Morannon sits two points behind Miruan, losing out 0-3 to surging Port Rhovanyon AFC and one further back Fort Viljan, whose 2-1 win in Veriasod is their third win in four games now, showing that there is still hope for the Arctic Foxes to maybe secure a spot in next year's TPL. The big loser of the match day, however, is Nagoush FC, who lost 0-1 in Kyethas and now sit four points adrift in last place and even seven points to a non-relegation spot, which makes for a grim future for the Taerians.
