Name of country reserved: 'Regency of New Artorran'
Territory: On the map linked to in the OP, southern & central Britain (up to & including Yorkshire [in the traditional, pre-1970s sense] & -- except perhaps for the Furness district -- Lancashire), with associated smaller islands, except for northern & south-western sections of Wales.
This wold be an offshoot of my NS nation, several districts of which have found themselves translocated: Their former home did not have the same geography. so part of my RP would be their exploring & coping with the changes. I am also the player behind Bears Armed, and this nation -- like that one -- would be inhabited largely by sapient/anthropomorphic Bears although "Old" Artorran does also have human residents and a significant element of this offshoot's population would be from that stock instead. Technology is mostly equivalent to RL Britain in the first half of the 20th century, a bit less advanced in some respects (probably including the construction of warships: I do not envisage this nation as having Dreadnoughts, for example...) but up to more more-or-less modern standards in a few others (e.g. computers). There is relatively "low-key" magic (although, given enough time to prepare & conduct rituals, they might be able to close the seas -- & the air above those -- against prospective invaders...) , and some 'supernatural' beings are demonstrably real. A form of the English language is widely known.
Britain is an appropriate location for this location not only because it is the part of Earth-RL that I personally know best OOC but also because the Ursine founders of "Old" Artorran were largely interdimensional refugees from the fall of a sort-of "Arthurian Britain" that did have RL-like physical geography.
More to follow shortly.
Uh, I'm not sure about this. Not to be rude, but are you serious about this?
