2021 LEAGUE OF NATIONS
The AIFA League of Nations is an international association football competition, to be contested by the national teams of the region of Astyria and also serves as the qualification process for the annual AIFA Astyria Cup of Nations. All member associations have been placed within 4 Leagues, structured from A to D based off the previous seasons scorination ratings.
League A, League B & League C all have 24 teams before being divided into 4 groups of 6 teams each while League D has 9 teams in 3 groups of 3. Competitors will play 1 Home & 1 Away match against teams within their group, aside League D who will play each their Home & Away against group competitors as well as once against other teams in League D. The group winners will be determined by the national team that accrues the most points against their competitors. 3 Points will be awarded for a win, 1 point for a draw & 0 points for a loss. If 2 teams are tied by points, tie breakers will be determined by the following in order of their hierarchy: Goal Difference, Goals For, Games Won, Score Away from Home, Matches Between Teams, Team Rank. National teams final position following the League of Nations will determine Seeding Criteria for upcoming AstyCup contest.
Teams scorinator rating during the competition will be tracked by +0.3 for each win, +0.1 for a draw but will not gain any rating points for a loss. However, +0.05 will be awarded per goal scored, as well as +0.05 for each shutout secured. In addition to the rating teams will gain per match, a RP bonus +0.5 points will be awarded for a post referencing the game in question. RP's do not need to be entirely about the team and their performance, as they can be from an individual players view, the managers perspective, a fans experience while at the tournament, a news report or article & more. Maximum 1 per match.
A Reminder that all nations are encouraged to create a National Information/Roster Post before the season begins, which will warrant a one time RP Bonus of +1 to your teams rating. Although entirely up to you, we do suggest it contains the following:
Team Roster
This will contain your lineups for the games, including substitutions. Games will consist of 11 on field players, with 7 additional players for your bench during the matches. We recommend 18 players, but their is a minimum of 14 & a maximum of 25 players will be appreciated. Although all information given is up to your own discretion, it is best to include the players Names, Numbers, Positions & the current clubs they play for as well as an optional biography for the athletes. Although none is required, it will be further appreciated by your competitors.
Style Modification
The Style Modification will be based from -5.0(Most Defensive) to +5.0(Most Offensive). A Style of 0.0 will represent the medium where your team dedicates an average amount of effort on both Defense & Offense. Decimal positioning is accepted. Competitors that do not mention their preferred Style Modifier will be issued a Style of 0.0.
RP Permissions
The RP Permissions will let your competition know what they can & cannot post about your team within their own RP's.
