HELLO GAMEPLAY IT IS FIRST WARDEN TIM FROM THE ORDER OF THE GREY WARDENS HERE TO REPORT BACK-TO-BACK DOMINANT VICTORIES AGAINST RAIDERDOM ALONGSIDE OUR ALLIES IN LIBCORD (FOR YOUR PROTECTION) AND TITO

Last major update, The North Pacific Army engaged in their usual creative shenanigans, and ended up choosing to hold in the tag target of North Africa. Following this, having invited an assortment of their friends and military partners, their pile climbed to ~30+ at minor update. In response, over 50 liberators came together to comfortably curb stomp on that occupation attempt. Thanks to a massive turnout from the EU brigade, many of us lazy NA players were able to sleep in and wake up to a successful liberation in the bag, which is always a pleasing site to see. Personally, I was planning to wake up for it, and completely fucked up on that promise, so it was a massive relief to see how our Minor Update Crew rolled and smoked the occupying forces. However, something was amiss... as howls were heard in the distance, it was revealed that the Lone Wolves United and an assortment of partners had occupied Prima Victoria!

You might be asking, dear reader, what did the intrepid forces of TGW and Libcord do against this?! That's simple. We pulled together 60+ liberators and successfully clutched back to back major liberations. It was looking a little nervy at first, as update began with our numbers still looking somewhat short of victory, but thankfully as stragglers and latecomers started arriving to the scene, we amassed an insurmountable force with which to break the would-be occupiers. Tactfully deploying upon the native Delegate, who has since systematically dispatched the invading forces to Kandy's BBQ, a comfortable margin of victory was secured despite variance sending our trigger a little longer than desired. I would like to once again curse card farmers, whose puppet dumps make it a real pain in the ass to trigger sometimes. Thankfully, it wasn't anything bad enough to deter our valiant liberation coalition. All in all, good times were had, awesome turnouts were seen, raiders were sent home packing, and the winners just kept on winning. I'm really proud of all of the efforts that we've seen over the last day or so, and it's been super fucking exciting seeing us pull off two massive liberations with such thicc turnouts in a short period of time!

The Wardens took lessons from Marie Kondo on decluttering NationStates.

These quiet and early spring days were meant for cleaning, with no darkspawn to be found. The restless Wardens grabbed some tidying tips from Marie Kondo and gathered their cleaning supplies for some hard days' work. There were so many dirty tags and graffiti laying around, cluttering up regions and making the natives sad. Didn't the raiders know that clutter was bad for the heart? Everyone got to cleaning and scrubbed their way through 91 regions, tidying up the messy regions and restoring them back to their previous state. As Marie Kondo would say, tags don't spark joy; clean regions do.

In spite of the depleting number of tags, detaggers have scoured regions far and wide for the last traces of graffiti, detagging 74 regions since the last report. With every passing update the shadow of darkspawn recedes ever further, chased by the torch of victorious defenders.

“The old monastery had remained there for as long as Haku could remember it. Its muted colors allowed it to blend well with its mountain home and the elegant slopes of its design made it seem ethereal to the eye. As a young boy, he had always been able to look up at the mountain that looked over his village home, look to the monastery that lay atop of it, and feel a sense of continuity. He had been told the monastery had been built before even the village was, and it would continue to remain standing on that mountain long after he had passed. There was a semblance of comfort in that, a sign that despite the turbulence of change there would be some things that would always be familiar.

As he grew up that monastery and its meaning became a feature of life, something that would come up and fade into the background. When Haku ditched his old friends for new ones, the monastery on the mountain gave him a sense of comfort. When he graduated from his schooling, he looked to that monastery to ground himself back in reality. When he applied for his first job at the Grey Warden Information Solutions branch in the next town over, he had looked to that monastery as a final goodbye to his hometown.

The work in GWIS was fun. He made new friends, like Grea, whose work ethic was something that was admired, and Matthew, whose hyper attitude drew both irritation and well needed energy. He had even reconnected with some old ones, like Jack, a silent workhorse who carried the entire company on his poor shoulders, and the wise old man Altmoras. It was a nice change, another chapter in life.

When he was chatting to his mom about the details of his newest project, that being a little project called “Breeze” run by another coworker named Vinny, he offhandedly asked about the monastery. He had frowned when his mom told him about the massive migration of birds who had taken residence in the monastery. The infesting creatures had made a terrible mess of the monastery. Their nests cluttered the rafters, their caws drowned out the silence, and their bodily excrement littered the floors. It was a mess.

Haku knew he had to do something. That monastery meant something, it was a sign of stability and so much more to him. He quickly called all his friends from work and back home, assembling a team of people to clean up the avian mess. They gathered equipment from their jobs, homes, families, and friends and set off for the village home of Haku’s childhood. The group marched up the mountain, ignoring their aching pains in their legs from the journey. When their eyes laid sight on the monastery in person, the sight was horrific. The avian menace had defaced the monastery, the monks had been run off, the walls and floor were smeared with bird droppings, and sticks from twigs littered the entire premises. Not to mention that the ear-splitting screeches from the birds, it was nothing short of evil in its final form.

Upon seeing the monastery be brought to such low levels, Haku felt himself grow to such a rage. He announced to the group that the monastery needed to be cleaned but not by ordinary methods. With great flourish, he reached into his suitcase and revealed a secret cleaning tool that he had kept stashed away for the right time: the Nega-Sonic Hyperplasma Singularity Engine Directed Pulse Beam Mark. XI. He aimed the NSHSEDPB Mk. XI at the monastery and a great beam of light exploded forth from the NSHSEDPB Mk. XI, eviscerating the monastery. The resulting explosion consumed the entire world and everyone, especially the birds, died painful deaths. The end.”

Matthew snapped the story book shut with a genial smile. The faces of his listeners, fellow defenders who were celebrating the liberation of Japan looked at him with a mixture of contempt and tired resignation. It was Merlin who broke the silence said the words that everyone was thinking:

“Matthew, please shut the fuck up.”

The question is, how long until there aren't anymore regions to detag? Besides the brave actions of Libcord and our own Wardens, the Guardian Corps is taking care of detags almost as fast as the raiders can pull them off.

It's getting so hard to find new regions at this point, that I wouldn't be surprised if the darkspawn blight were fully exterminated by the end of the month.

Grey Warden Leadership Finds Lucrative Opportunity To Acquire Bread

Hello all, we're back with another exciting promotion within The Order! Sarah (Bread) is promoted to Warden-Lieutenant effective immediately.

While The Order has always been a military-focused organization, this has also meant we've tended to slide a lot of more traditional UCR engagement and activity opportunities onto the backburner in preference for our military. While our primary focus will always be the Wardens and Guardians, as the reason we exist as a region is to free NationStates from The Blight and its Darkspawn, this past year has given us significant growth and overall regional development that has enabled us to put more focus on further developing the region as a whole. We're in the process of building a not-insignificant endorsement tally on our Delegate, RMB activity is way up, the Factions Competition is seeing massive success, and overall regional activity outside of update is climbing. Now is the most important time for us to remain driven and to avoid complacency, and I believe that this new addition to our Lieutenant rank will significantly help with maintaining this momentum.

Sarah, known to many for her stellar term as Delegate of The Rejected Realms, has already been an integral part of helping develop increased Regional Culture, Gameside Activity, and an overall Fun Community. A long-time organizer of many successful events and initiatives across the faction, I'm so incredibly excited to see Sarah's talents now being added to Warden leadership. A lot of us are pretty military-oriented culture-ignorant types, so this is an amazing injection of balance for that as well. While we've definitely gotten less edgy, with Sarah bringing an infectiously positive attitude and wholesome vibe, what the haters haven't considered is that this is completely outweighed by the Bread Stonks we've gained. With Sarah's ascent to Lieutenant, we hope to give yet another immensely talented player the platform, access, and authority to continue doing the phenomenal job she's already been doing.
