I'm desensitized, because I have seen so much worse on the internet, and even on this very site before the mods cleaned it up.
I understand. But I’m not because I saw those signs myself and it wasn’t a good experience. I’m from Spain, and those signs left me rattled and dare I say a tad culturally shocked to see racism so alive and well in the US.
This is not to exime my own country from its myriad issues, of which racism is one of them. But I never saw billboards like that back home and it was jarring.
