Sharktail’s new tactical changes are seen to be taking some time. At the MAC 7 tournament, Sharktail came up with a new tactic but has yet to see a positive impact. In the opening match of MAC 7 yesterday, Sharktail tied Bucklin 2-2.

In the match at Ubung Arena, Ubung, Sahami made a bet with a new 4-3-3 DM tactic. Sahami listed Zeehad Yusof as the main goalkeeper. The experienced line -up, Harold, Yusri and Irfan Danial were given the role of backfour for Sharktail. While there are some options like the more experienced Hidawi, Sahami gave his debut to Norris Idris. In the middle position, former U-18 captain, Badhri returned to the national squad and filled the DM position. The combination of Nik Akif and Azaim is no stranger in the national squad. As for the attack, Gaby, Shakir and Ilias Rezal, hit a combination of three attacks tonight. Sahami put his faith in the young attacking line -up when three young stars, Ilias, Alfi and Win completed Sahami’s squad for the tournament.

In this match, in terms of ball control, Sharktail dominated almost the entire field. Throughout the first half, Sharktail recorded 12 shots into Bucklin's goal but none were accurate. What can be seen in this match, Sharktail’s offensive line is a bit chaotic and rushed for shots. In terms of defense, as a result of not always being attacked, it is clear that one or two Bucklin attacks are enough to mess up Sharktail's defense. Defenders are often too far ahead. As a result, the lob ball gave Bucklin's team the opening goal as a result of Anwar Barker's goal. Sharktail's team equalized again when a harold -arranged attack from the left was tapped by Shakir past Bucklin's goal line.

Entering the second half, Sharktail was seen trying to hold the ball longer and not in a hurry to make a shot. However, as a result more ball control is lost from Sharktail. Again, defensive errors were the cause of the goal for Bucklin. If earlier the defensive position was the cause, now emotions dominate Yusri when he acts to kick Barker's leg in the penalty box. Barker calmly scored the second goal for his team. Sahami decided to remove Yusri and Norris who were seen to be a bit slow and not performing. Hidawi and Mahali step in. Young striker Win Aziz was also brought in to replace Gaby. Real Sahami was desperate in the last 10 minutes to find the equalizer. And when Win's shot hit the net, Sahami suddenly jumped and shouted at the edge of the field celebrating the equalizer. The finishing whistle sounds.

One point is shared by both teams. Not a happy result for the selected team. However, Sahami wants the boys to forget this match and focus on the next match. What over is over, let's move on. Go Wi Go Sharktail.

Ziwana 2 - 2 Sendhang: Sendhang hold Akambuku to share spoils at Manguwi Stadium

By Chosadziwa Botolo

ZCOMM Sport in Mengwi, Pemecutan

After a year of no club, regional or multiverse football. Akambuku fans were very excited to returning to the stands to once again enjoy the beautiful. The Royal Ziwana Football Association corruption scandal had left many AmaZiwana football lovers disappointed, with the establishing of the Ziwana Football Federation many hoped that a Ziwana football renaissance would begin with the defeat of Sendhang. However, AmaZiwana fans will have to wait for matchday 2 were they face Trolleborg to truly begin the Ziwana football renaissance.

Coming into the Senhang match it was clear who the strong team was. It was expected that Akambuku would brush aside the newcomers with atleast 3 goals. Ziwana National Team Manager and legendary striker, Jean Wilder in an interview said that although Senhang was the weaker team of the two with no experience, it was imperative that the player do not become complacent and allow the underdog to steal points as had been done in matchday 1 of the 5th CMFA Melayu Archipelago Cup by Belfitz. Jean Wilder continued to say that it was very crucial for Ziwana to take all full points against the weaker opponent in Senhang as the match against Trolleborg would be very difficult.

In line with the new era in AmaZiwana football history, Jean Wilder also said that Akambuku would be ditching the 'Umodzi,Umodzi' style of football that had not only made Ziwana famous but also won it 3 titles for a more advanced version which he believes stay true to AmaZiwana football traditions. With this in mind, many Ziwana fans who attended the match at Manguwi Stadium expected something speacial. However this was not the case.

The game started on a bad note when Western United Keeper, Jean Kane allowed KS Gunung Kayasu left attacking midfielder, Keylar Samoi to score directly from a corner. The corner handed Senhang an early lead and gave them the perfect incentive to hung on for a draw at Manguwi Stadium. Senhang playing a low block, let Ziwana attack with its high block leading to Akambuku opening spaces in the back leading to them been caught several times off the break. This was made worse by the fact that Ziwana was playing direct passing football, with Senhang defending deep it meant that Akambuku passing were going straight into the teeth of the Senhang defence. Things got worse for Ziwana when Abdulaziz Haqawi was sent off for his second bookable offence leaving Akambuku to play with 10 men.

After halftime, Ziwana switched up its tactics by playing a patient build up style, passing around the midfield, probing to try and draw the packed Senhang defence out of position. However, they did not rush play and kept enough of a defense set up so that they would avoid getting caught on the break during a counter attack. This was successful with Ziwana Captain Charles Payen making amends for Haqawi and Jean Kane's mistakes by scoring in the 55th minute. However, overconfidence and shoddy defending led Senhang to regain their lead. Akambuku were only saved from losing once again on matchday one by a Hashan Casimir screamer of a goal from 35 yards out to equalise.

After the match, Ziwana Manager Jean Kane was optimistic saying that he was proud of the boys for how well they played especially scince they had not played a professional match in a long while. He went on to say that even though he has seen positives, they boys would have to be more focused in the next game against Trolleborg if they were to stand a chance at winning

The next game against Trolleborg will be played at Jambe Stadium, in Kesiman City. The match will be broadcast on ZCOMM TV and on Zplayer. For more information visit www.zcommsports.com .

I
THE YOUNG KID FROM THE SMALL TOWN

"If you have a dream, try to achieve it. You yourself know how far you can go," those were the words that inspired Teuku Salahudin, the young striker from the small town of Tapa.

Teuku Salahudin became a hot topic in the Sendhang football arena. The 19 years old striker got called up by the national team. Compliments, advice, and even criticism fill the internet sites. Still, that's normal. The football fans in Sendhang expect a lot from the players. This is the biggest thing that ever happened to the young kid.

Salahudin started playing full-time football when he was ten years old. At this point, he was playing with his hometown club named Pesepak Tapa. But it wasn't long before he was involved in a road accident. This accident prevented him from remaining active in football. He was released by Pesepak Tapa and was no longer involved in any football activities at that moment. Maybe everyone is wondering how he can play football again.

Four years after the accident, Salahudin's family faced financial problems. He was trying to find the best way to get a scholarship. But he is not the brightest kid and his exam results were not good enough. One of his teachers suggested he try his luck for a football scholarship offered by the State of Putrasia Schools Sports Development Bureau. From there, Salahudin returned to playing football.

Although he had to start from scratch, his efforts and hard work never stopped. However, luck was not on his side once again. That year, due to financial constraints, the scholarships offered were reduced in quotas and Salahudin was one of the kids who missed out. Hard work for almost 2 years is in vain.

One day, he saw an advertisement from the KS Tapaklaboh club about a player selection session for the academy. Not wanting his hard work to be lost just like that, he traveled to the state capital to try his luck. And luckily, he got it this time. For the club in Sendhang, the recruitment of 16 and 17 years old players is normal due to the lack of football development at a younger level.

Salahudin's progress in KS Tapaklaboh went smoothly. He rosed up the rank and featured in the first team in no time. In his first season at the senior level, Salahudin wisely adjusted. For him, this is a golden opportunity. If you want something, you strive for it, sooner or later there will be results. And now he is a national player. His mesmerizing performance allowed him to be called up to the national team. He also received a call up to the Sendhang under-21 squad but the call was later withdrawn as he is deemed good enough for the senior team.

It never occurred to him that he would be able to place himself in the Sendhang national squad. Called up to the national squad selection, competing with reliable, well-known, and experienced players, it is almost clear that his chances to play as the starting eleven are slim. People say, there will be a time when a golden opportunity may come to you, and Salahudin never thought that the golden opportunity really happened to him right now.

In his opinion, even if he will fill all his time in this tournament on the bench, it will still be a great experience. "All my seniors are great. I learn a lot from them. Just sitting on the bench makes my heart pound, I cannot wait to make my first appearance and shine with this team".

Now, Salahudin is slowly making his way to become the best footballer. Come on Salahudin, fly freely and spread your name around the world.

All about the Gothanita Isles
Otksarin, the economic powerhouse of TGI
Part 1: Introduction

The Gothanita Isles (TGI), officially The Incorporated States of the Gothanita Isles, is a confederation of 4 member nations, namely Otksarin, North Handoria, South Jeolerina, Hallikshire. All 4 members may have different backgrounds, with the population belonging to different races, speaking different languages (with the exception of the lingua franca, Gothan), having different culture and religion, but bonded together as 1 nation. 1 nation, flying the combined flag of the Gothanita Isles, even if we belong to 4 different nations.

To start any conversation about "Who is Otksarin", we would first have to give a brief introduction to the Isles as a whole. Every member state in the Isles belong to their own regions, and have seemingly different interests, culture, and background. In the 1700s, the 4 nations chose to come together to become 1 sovereign nation, known to the world and the multiverse as the Gothanitan Isles. Our forefathers declared that we may be from different backgrounds, but the people have similar things among them, such as the love for the environment (as seen in varying degrees in various countries), the countries' love for various sports (football is a sport loved across the Isles), and the fact that all member states are islanders. (All 4 nations are based of an archipelango of islands, to varying extent)

Otksarin is known as the economic powerhouse of the Isles. Contributing over 48% of the country's GDP, Otksarin is home to many manufacturing factories and production lines. However, what is unique about the nation is its emphasis on green energy. Refusing to use coal and fossil fules, the country relies most of its energy on solar panels, considering that the nation is pretty much located in a tropical area with all-year round summer weather. The country also has a huge workforce dedicated to provision of services, as the country attempts to build a tourism sector. Its beautiful beaches, the shopping district, the food culture here in Otksarin (known as the roadside food culture), and also its resort island Jalanga, these are places Otksarin want to be known for to tourists visiting the country.

In the next part, we will talk about the sporting culture - something that every Otksar is proud off.

Greetings, compatriots! It’s TTV with a most actual news from Melayu Cup which was held in Pemecutan.

Almost every pundit and expert predicted that second game of the group stage will be most troublesome, and with good reasons to do so. Ziwana was a most decorated team of the region, won MC twice recently, having a real good team with a potential to be brilliant. Players already heal pains of being pushed out by Appalachians in the BoF semifinal (and everyone agree, that Ziwana was better candidate for a final game), and in this game they have a chance to even score with our lads for a two lost games in WCQ.

Knowing this, Morten Troghil put 4-4-2 scheme with a defensive midfielder and wingers who do not
shun defensive work, and things proved him right. From the first minute, the opponents went ahead with large forces, trying to get the ball into the penalty area with top and bottom passes, and when turned out that it was difficult to do this, they switched to long-range shots. Twice Kotsson was only able to repulse very clever shots, but the defenders were on the alert and got to the ball first. Throughout the first half, Ziwana has a considerable advantage, but cannot really benefit from this, in defense our team played confidently and reliably.

The second half began, it would seem, the same way as the first one ended. But a few minutes later, our lads suddenly turned on the speed and for ten minutes literally pressed the opponents to their goalline. In one of the episodes, Kolding successfully opened on the flank, redirected the ball to the center of the penalty area and there Berglund shot hard into the far corner. The goalkeeper flew like a bird after the ball, but still failed to prevent the goal.

Image

Alas, the team was unable to keep the winning score. Someone else could be knocked out of the saddle by such a turn, but not Ziwana. The team rushed forward with all possible energy and pressured our lads very hard, and then they began to lose fight for a ball over and over again, making errors in their defensive work and substitutions did not help to reverse the way match played at this moment. As a result, after the fight in the penalty box, the defenders missed track of where the ball would bounce and, as a result, it was literally hammered into the top corner.

Image

Still, after that our lads managed to move the game closer to the center of the field and brought the match to a draw, but the lessons from this game should be extracted accordingly. The next opponent, although a debutant, has already caused trouble for Ziwana, and will undoubtedly and willingly try to do it with our players.

MAC 7.1
THE TRIP ACROSS THE STRAITS

Eraman arrived in Pemecutan with the hope that they can bring the Melayu Archipelago Cup back with them for the first time. Even though the national team has not trained together in the past year, the squad is still deemed as one of the better sides in the tournament alongside host Pemecutan, defending champion Sharktail, 2-times champion Ziwana, and the invitee Trolleborg.

The national team was drawn in Group B alongside Sharktail, Acastanha, Otksarin, Island of the Lost, and Bucklin. All Group B matches will be played in Ubung and Nilayam in the northern part of Pemecutan, just a short trip across the small straits separating Pemecutan and Eraman. Thousands of Eramanians made the short journey to Nilayam in Soracana Islands for their opening match with Island of the Lost.

Eraman drew their opening match. Questions were being asked again on the status of Tun Sengalang Petara as head coach after the match. A lackluster performance from the national team in the opening match did not please the Eramanians. Social media are bombarded with discontentment. Island of the Lost is a team that Eraman should beat easily if they want to win the tournament, a 2-2 draw is unacceptable.

The morale in the squad is low. But the next match is a blockbuster match between Eraman and Sharktail. The rivalry between the 2 neighboring countries is huge. Eraman and its southern neighbor, Sharktail shared a long history together. Both of the countries, together with Pemecutan, and Southern Palm Islands were part of the ancient Hindu Kingdom of Sripala.

It turned ugly after Eraman lost the match to Sharktail. The Eramanians lost their mind. Objects were thrown into the field and towards opposing fans after the third goal. No injuries were reported but it was an unpleasant experience for the spectators in the Nilayam Stadium. Eramanians just can't take a 3-0 defeat to Sharktail.

With just a point after 2 matches, the pressure on the squad intensified. A group stage exit will not be good for the political stability of Eraman. The fate of the country is at the hands of the 11 players selected by Tun Sengalang Petara in the next 3 matches against Bucklin, Otksarin and Acastanha.

Eraman-0

After a lackluster performance in the first match, Sharktail left for Nilayam to face the second match, the MA derby match against Eraman. Three points were the target for both teams who were disappointed at first. Three points per match can be an assistant for both teams to get past the Group B rivalry to the knockout stage.

In this match, Sahami retained almost the entire starting line -up. Zeehad in goal, Harold, Yusri, Norris and Irfan fill the defensive line. For the middle section led by Badhri, Azaim was retained while Nik Akif had to be removed due to a knock during training. Shakir, Gaby and ilias were entrusted to rip Eraman's goal.

While this match was expected to be intense, something else happened. The Eraman team seemed to lose direction throughout the match. None of their attacks were capable of endangering Sharktail's goal gate. From the facial reactions of each Eraman player, they were seen to be confused with the tactics causing Sharktail to easily snatch the ball. The result of a short pass game from Sharktail, Ilias Rezal gave Sharktail the first goal. Three minutes later, the excitement of the Eraman players attacked when a corner allowed Azaim to make a lob pass to the Eraman area where Gaby was ready and easily gave the second goal for Sharktail. Seeing Eraman still confused, Ilias took the opportunity for the third goal 3 minutes before the end of the first period. In the second half, the Eraman team still failed to show anything. Sharktail also slowed their tempo in the second half. sahami included Alfi Bahar, Fahmi Nazmi and Shafizan Farid to rest the key players. The match ended Sharktail 3, Eraman 0.

Behind Sharktail's victory, there is a bad story to be heard. Sharktail manager, Sahami openly stated that Tun Sengalang Petara should immediately resign from his post. For him, Tun Sengalang Petara is no longer an individual like when he first held Eraman. "Honestly from me, Eraman was able to go far but not with Tun Sengalang Petara. When I first met him, I saw he could take this team further, but now, I don't see the slightest bit of such authority in him. Football in Eraman, everyone knows how they are. They have good players, a good system but one they don't have, a good leader. If Tun wants to use this team for personal gain , he's wrong. He wants the player to do what he wants but he doesn't know what the player wants to do. This is my personal view. It has nothing to do with Sharktail. " From the ripple on Sahami's face, he was clearly disappointed and angry. There are sources saying that Sahami lost his temper after some Eraman fans threw objects in the field which at the same time disrupted the players' concentration.

Let's forget about that, let move on fir next one. Sharktail back on track to pass the grouo stage,The third match, Sharktail will go and grab three more point. Go Wi Go Sharktail.

Betty parked her mother's SUV in one of the open spots beside the training facility of the Cote du Facilier Barons. She had only recently received her license so the journey and the parking was suspect at best, but the important thing is that we both made it here alive. i had a tall coffee with me to help me deal with my hangover from last night, but only a tall one, because anything more than that and I would turn into an absolute nervous and babbling wreck.

"Are you done with that yet?" Betty asked me, looking at my coffee.

"Just a few more sips, Betty," I replied.

"A few more sips? Don't you mean a few more gulps?" Betty asked. Well, she had a point. The cup in my hand was still at least half full of coffee. "Fair point," I muttered. "But you know that if I chug it down, I won't be in any shape to ask your dad about keeping my job."

"Still, we don't have a lot of time," Betty insisted. "So I would get to chugging if I were you."

"Yes, ma'am," I nodded, and I started drinking the coffee even while it was still hot. Not scalding to the point of ruining my tongue and throat, but hot enough to cause discomfort as I drank. I managed to get it down to three-fourths empty before I had to give up. "Yeah, that's it. I can't do it anymore. This will have to do, Bethany."

"Go to hell, Helen," Betty muttered. She hated anyone using her whole first name.

"All right then. Shall we do this?" I asked. And before Betty could reply, I had already hopped out of the car. "Wait!" she called out as she followed me out. We walked across the training ground towards the club offices, and on the way there I looked around the place. "I thought you said you were going to have your friends here with you."

"I know," Betty muttered. "And I think I know exactly where they are."

"Really? How are you going to do that?"

"Just follow the screams."

Well, screams is a bit harsh. But there was definitely at least a few people shouting inside the offices. Well, one office in particular. "Come on, let's get this over with," I said.

We walked to the office where the shouting was loudest and knocked on the door. But since the shouting was too loud for the knocking to be heard, I opened the door myself. It wasn't locked, so that was easy. But I knew what I had to do next was going to be anything but.

The shouting stopped almost immediately as soon as I opened the door. Two girls and one boy were inside the room, and they were surrounding the desk of the only other adult inside. Everyone turned around to look at me and Betty, as if we were the last people in the world that they expected to come barging into the office. I recognized the two girls immediately as Andrea Coleman and Diana MacTavish, Betty's friends. The boy was Rocky Simmons, a quiet guy who was also the last person I would expect to be here defending me. Not that he had any animosity against me; he just didn't seem like the type to ruffle feathers just for the hell of it. The adult was of course Alaric Henderson, the new manager.

"Ah, Helen Josephus," Alaric said. "I was wondering when you were going to show up."

"You knew that I was going to go here?" I asked him back.

"It doesn't take a genius to guess that when these three were waiting for me and immediately bombarded me with their requests to keep you on the staff for the coming season," Alaric shrugged.

"Really? They did that?" I asked, shocked by the whole thing.

"Indeed they did," Alaric nodded. "You seem to have built yourself a loyal and dedicated following in the academy during the time you have spent here."

"Is that a good thing or a bad thing?"

"I don't know, if I'm being honest," Alaric said as he stood up behind his desk. "Loyalty to the club is always a good thing, I always thought, but when it comes to loyalty to a person... I prefer to look at that on a case-to-case basis. In your case... I am really struggling to figure out how and why you've attracted such... devotion, shall I say?"

"Dad!" Betty said. "Helen was literally one of us for five years! To us, she wasn't just a coach, she's a teammate and a friend! She's our link to the rest of the staff. You kick her out of this team and you risk turning the whole academy against you."

"Ah, the whole academy, huh?" Alaric nodded. "Interesting choice of words. It's obvious that all of you have given this matter some thought. As have I. I was brought into this club to take it off of the foot of the table, and the board has promised me free reign to do what I thought was necessary to achieve that. And I thought getting rid of the staff from the bottom up was the way. But now it appears that I'm meeting resistance, not just from the staff, but from players as well. This whole thing is strange, don't you all think? Maybe a clean sweep might not be the way to go."

Alaric then sat back down behind his desk and clasped his hands. "Looks like you've got yourself a second chance, Helen," he said. "But not just you. I've decided that some of the assistants can stay as well. But remember this, Helen. I'm keeping an eye on you. A very close eye on you. I know all about your history. One slip-up and you'll be out of here faster than you can say 'Wait'."

As we walked out of Alaric's office, Betty turned to me and said, "What did I tell you, Helen? I told you it would work!"

"Yeah, maybe for you it worked," I muttered. "But did you hear what your father just said? One mistake and I'm gone. I can't afford to come to training like this."

"Look, let me deal with that if that happens, okay?" Betty assured me.

"When, Bethany, not if," I said back.

"Screw you!"

II
ROOMMATE

Salahuddin was placed in the same room with Jorok Mendriq for the whole tournament, another young player called up for the first time for the national team.

This is the first time the two ever travel overseas. And both of the youngsters did not feature in the first two matches.

The mood in the dressing room is still jovial even after only collecting a solitary point after 2 matches. They were happy to tie their first match with Ziwana, a West Melayu Archipelago giant, and satisfied with their performance in the defeat against Southern Palm Islands.

“Joroq, 3 more group matches. Do you think we will play in this tournament?” Salahuddin asked his roommate while playing a console game in their room.

“I’m not sure but we have to be ready at all times. As you said, opportunity can come anytime. And when that opportunity comes, grab it,” answered Jorok but his eyes were focused on the television with his hands firmly gripping the console game controller.

“We are not even on this console game.”

“We will be there, Salahuddin. We will be there one day,” Joroq paused the game and stare Saludin in the eyes.

The two players, who met for the first time during this tournament, grew closer as they spent more time together in Pemecutan. Playing console games and making videos for TikTuk when they are not on duty.

However, it is their common determination of making it in the game that bonded them well. Both Saludin and Jorok come from poor family backgrounds. Making it big in the game will do wonders for their family. And both are determined to get there someday in the future.

Ziwana Football League Board Unveil the ZFL League System

By Chosadziwa Botolo

ZCOMM Sport at Stadiyamu ya Ziwana,Birnin Likulu

After months and months of waiting since the Royal Ziwana Football League was made defunct, the newly created Ziwana Football League has unveiled the new Ziwana Football League System at the Stadiyamu ya Ziwana in Birnin Likulu. At the ceremony the ZFL alongside its sponsors such as Ziwanicell, Mkango Lager and BillTech unveiled the new competition logos and the ZFL logo.
Image

New ZFL logo

The ZFl logo makes use of the AmaZiwana national colours of green and yellow. It is quite a simpe roundel logo with the map shape of Ziwana in the middle to represent how the ZFL is a national league. The logo design itself is said to be similar to the 1895 Birnin Championship logo, however there is no evidence of this as most records of the Championship were lost during the Indepence War.

The ZFL football pyramid will be composed of 4 leagues, with 16 teams in each league. In the now Defunct RZFL there were only 3 leagues with 12 teams each. The 36 teams that were in the RZFL will compete in round robin league to decide which team goes into which league. The top 32 teams will be in the first two league and the remaining four will be in the third league. The other spaces in the third and fourth leagues will be filled by teams from the state leagues . The first league will be the Primiya Futbol Ligi but will be known as the Ziwanicell Premiership for sponsorship reasons.
Image

Liga Malicky replaced by the Primiya Futbol Ligi

The PFL logo itself makes use of AmaZiwana national sysmbol such as the Wazimba Warriors pattern that is found on the new Ziwana flag and the Ziwana gold and green tri colour is also used. The PFL logo also makes use of the football hexagon star logo which was in the Liga Malicky logo as well however this time instead of a ball a lion is put in the middle. The lion is the Dziwana Mkango lion. Dziwana Mkango was a Warrior King who fought in the Alharb Alddamia (bloody war) between 1050 and 1064 BR (*BR stands for Before Reset). The PFL will be divided into a regular season were teams play each other twice then a Final Series were 6 teams battle it out to be Ziwanicell Premiership Final Series Champions. The regular season champions will be called premier champions. The Final Series will award the champion more money.
Image

Liga Kaifa 1 has been replaced by BillTech League 1

BillTech League 1 makes use of BillTech PLC colour of Orange. The third league is called BillTech League 2 and also uses BillTech PLC colour of blue. However, during the unveiling there was a bit of a blunder as the BillTech League 2 was written as BillTech League 1, this caused the crowds present to have a chuckle at the blunder.
Image

logo Designers mistakenly put 1 instead of 2 on the BillTech League 2 logo.

The fourth league has no official names as of now due to no sponsor being found. The ZFL Chairman said that if a sponsor was not found the league would be known as the ZFL League 3 untill a sponsor was found.

The ZFL also introduced the new cups that would be played namely the ZFF Cup, Super 8 and Charity Shield. The ZFF Cup would be run by the Ziwana Football Federation and would be known as the MKango Lager ZFF Cup for sponsorship reasons. All 64 teams in the ZFL would participate in this tournament.
Image

The Super 8 cup would be a cup for the top 8 teams in the PFL after a season, it will be known as the Oracle 8.
Image

The Charity Shield will be known as the Futurebank Charity Shield for sponsorship reason, it will be the season opener before the Oracle 8. It will be played by the ZFF Cup and Ziwanicell Premiership regular season winners.

The ZFL seems very exciting for more information about the league visit www.zfl.com. Stay sharp.

About the Team
Kimbishtki Royals FC, which was formerly known as Royal Kimbishtki FC is the football team hailing from Kimbishtki Island. Kimbishtki is the smallest province of the Southern Palm Islands as well as the southernmost point of the nation. Kimbishtki is known for its Guava Fields and Farms. The Guava was indeed so famous that it was the replica of the club. The first logo of the club was guava and it continued till the new president of the club adopted the new logo which symbolizes the island. The club was established almost at the same time when RG Heyzle United FC was established. Even though the club is old, it hasn't been a matiwidu stronghold. Matiwidu was introduced only after the club was established. This shows us how primitive was the diplomatic system then. The old Logo was guava with a starting it. The star symbolizes the former socialist regime on the island. The socialist regime was overthrown by the nationalists of jarind who demanded nationalist rule. But, the nationalists were also overthrown after a while.

III
THE STAR

Sendhang was up against Trolleborg for their third group match. Trolleborg is the favorite to make it into the knockout stage. The nation located in the South Pacific is ranked 29th in the world, far higher than Sharktail who is ranked 87th in the world, the highest-ranked nation from Melayu Archipelago.

Sendhang came to Pemecutan just to be competitive. That’s it. It’s alright to get knocked out in the group stage as long as the team plays well and improving day by day. That’s the mentality in the dressing room. It’s just the beginning. And the match against Trolleborg was perfect for Sendhang to learn something from.

The head coach, Teuku Syarkawi instructed his team to line up in a defensive 4-1-4-1. Salahuddin was once again not included in the starting line-up. The tried and tested Gusti Sing Nggawe who scored a goal in each of the previous 2 matches was once again selected to spearhead the attack.

“OK team, this is going to be our toughest opponent. So, focus. Play as a unit, defend as a unit, and attack as a unit,” Syarkawi said in the dressing room in his last message to the players before they head out to the field for the kick-off. “We are carrying the flag of Sendhang. Don’t let them think they can walk around us,” he raised his voice to lift the spirit of the players and shouted, "understand?”

“Understood.” the players who were lined up in front of the gaffer shouted back.

“Understand?” Syarkawi raised his voice even louder.

“Understood.” the players who are now in a spirited mood shouted back.

Syarkawi then moved to the middle of the dressing room with his hand out. The players joined in making a circle with the captain, Albertus Wageo in the middle.

“1, 2, 3,” the captain counted loudly.

“Sendhang!” the rest of the squad shouted spiritedly.

Albertus Wageo led the team into the field with Trolleborg first eleven lined up beside them. A capacity crowd of 30,000 people greeted the players with cheers as the starting eleven of both teams walked into the field in the Manguwi Stadium in the city of Mengwi, the third largest city in Pemecutan.

Trolleborg started the match aggressively. Attacking at a very fast pace and trying to get the ball back as quickly as possible by pressing the opponents when they lost the ball. Sendhang remains disciplined in defending. Doing just what the head coach had told them, "defend as a unit.”

The score remains goalless at the break and it continued just as how the first half with Trolleborg attacking aggressively trying to get the goal.

But a quick counterattack in the 75th minute changed everything. Started from a Trolleborg corner-kick which was headed clear by center-back, Putra Lumipada. The loose ball was gathered by Josua Beripeda just outside the box who launched the ball towards the Trolleborg's side of the field. Gusti Sing Nggawe used his speed to beat Kasper Wolters on a footrace and lobbed the ball above the incoming rushing goalkeeper, Tomas Kot Kotsson.

The stadium erupted. The Sendhang fans are ecstatic. They have just scored against Trolleborg, the 29th ranked nation in the world. Gusti Sing Nggawe's name was being sung around the stadium.

“Gusti! Gusti! Gusti!” the Sendhang fans chant.

Trolleborg attacked even more aggressively after the re-start but to no avail. Sendhang won the match 1-0.

The match has raised Gusti Sing Nggawe as the icon of Sendhang football. Everyone in Sendhang is talking about him. The news of the victory was printed on the back page of every newspaper in Sendhang.

It was rightly so as Gusti Sing Nggawe is a top professional. He is a role model to young players in the national team including Salahuddin. Salahuddin looks up to Gusti Sing Nggawe but if he wants to feature in the first team, that’s the man he will have to be better than.

AL-QUASIM ATHLETIC CLUB

Image

Al-Quasim Athletic Club or simply known as Al-Quasim is a Ziwana professional football club based in the city of Al-Quasim in Khasib state. The club previously played in the Ziwana top tier, Liga Malicky. The club was was originally founded in 1909 as Eagles Sports Club. The club was found during the colonial era when Ziwana was under Britannian rule. Britannian sports clubs, swimming pool and other community spaces had strict policies to not allow AmaZiwana natives to enter and participate in social activities such sports. The club was founded to offer the working class AmaZiwana in Al-Quasim a chance to relax and exercise. The founding members of the club who included Addulaziz Haqawi's great-grand father Rashid Haqawi who were members of the Zarabian Resistance Movement, a anti-Britannian independence movement.

In the early years club members played several sports such as rugby, cricket and football. To finance club activities, some members of the club would rob Britannians. In 1911 the West Melayu government (Ziwana was called West Melayu during the colonial era) banned Eagles Sports Club and had its founding members arrested. The club was branded a terrorist organisation. For years Al-Quasim remained with no club untill 1916 when the Zarabian Championship was founded. Some former members of Eagles Sports Club refounded the club as Al-Quasim Athletic Club. The club won all Zarabian Championships between 1916 and 1918. Between 1918 and 1921 the independence war between Ziwana and Britannia was fought. When the war had broke out in 1918 after protests all over Ziwana, Al-Quasim Athletic Club players, members and supporters stormed the prison were the founding fathers had been jailed. A lot Al-Quasim Athletic Club members lost their lives breaking into the prison. AL-Quasim had previously used white and green as their club colours but after the war red was used to remember the blood that was shed fighting to rescue the founding fathers and blood shed during the independence wars.

Al-Quasim Athletic Club who are fondly called the Red Eagles and play at the 21000 Red Eagles Park were founding members of Liga Malicky which they have won two times. They have been releated once to the Liga Kaifa for one season before coming right back by winning the Liga Kaifa 1. The team is one of the richest teams in Ziwana and is a strong contender to be in the next Ziwana top tier the Ziwancell Premiership.

Greetings, compatriots!
It’s TTV from Pemecutan. Game with Sendhang give us not much reasons to enjoy. Altough team played well, but, nevertheless, lost this crucial game. Looked like head coach in the first half too much tilted team game to the defence, and in the second one to the offence. As a result, team plays overly careful first and then move too much forward, with a result of undue and ineffectual overcrowding near the Sendhang box – and missed a moment when it was needed to go back..

Nevertheless, our players begin game about Libonesia as if nothing happened. For almost half of the players on the lineup this tournament is the first international one in the career, and some not-often-played footballers join them in the field, but nevertheless newbies played in the range from OK to rather good. Is Morten Troghil found the way to instill something in the players psyche? We will see pretty soon.

As for a game itself, it’s must be noted that the opponent, Libonesia, too well known for us in the “Multiverse Challenge Competition”, was rock bottom team of our group, so quality of game of our lads can be result of it just due to the lack of initiative on the part of opponents. And there was only one goal in the end, despite visible advantage of Trolleborg team in terms of shoots, posessing and so on.

Only goal was engineered after Libonesia lost posession on our half of the field, Kolding swiftly move ball forward, Pathmoor make pass further to the box and there was our forwards receive numerical advantage for a few seconds. As a result, Jivoglot have a chance to hit the ball himself, but prefer to share it with Berglund who have a much better position. After his thunderous shot ball was in the Libonesia net.

Image

But with that unfortunate lost to Sendhang our team seriously undermined chances for a playoffs. Right now lads obliged to won against SPI, which also needed points. It will be seen, how it all will be on the field, but it must be remembered, that providence usually don’t like us, and in Melayu Cups it’s always clearly visible.

AMANGWAZI BIRNIN

Image

AmaNgwazi Birnin Football Club was formerly named Birnin Almalaki. The club was previously owned by the Royal Family alongside Zote Malicky, however after the Royal Family was banned from interferring with football related activities in Ziwana they were forced to step down. With AmaNgwazi losing the Royal Familys endorsement and support, the team was renamed AmaNgwazi Birnin to retain its royal club status whilst staying true to its historic culture.

AmaNgwazi Birnin was founded in 1886 as Red Lions at Kings Academy. Red Lions was founded for Princes and Princesses from AmaZanga to compete with other Royal Children from Ziwana. When the class of 1890 graduated the club at the school died with their leaving, however the club strived outside the Academy as Red Lions Sports Club. Red Lions Sports Club functioned more as an Alumni club. Red Lions Sports Club would organise competitions between various alumni and several sports. In 1906 Red Lions Sports Club together with Birnin Select and Ainsworth Barracks founded the Birnin Championship. For the competition Red Lions Sports Club played under the name of AmaNgwazi Birnin. In 1910 AmaNgwazi Birnin became independent of Red Lions Sports Club. In 1912 AmaNgwazi won its first trophy after beating Birnin Select on the final day. For the next few years untill 1916 when the Independence War begun AmaNgwazi won all Birnin Championships. Followind Independence in 1921 when Ngwazi Orama returned he endorsed AmaNgwazi Birnin and the club was renamed Birnin Almalaki or Birnin Royals. It must be noted that the name AmaNgwazi refers to the club being the Lions rather than the royals. The name Ngwazi comes from legendary figure, Dziwana who was called Mkango or Lion, it also refers to his nature as a conqueror.

AmaNgwazi Birnin was a founding member of the Liga Malicky, however it took 25 years for the club to win its first Ziwana top tier trophy in 1946. 6 years later in 1952 AmaNgwazi did the double winning the Liga Malicky two years in a row. In the fifties and sixties a rivalry between AmaNgwazi Birnin and Western United begun. At the end of the season it was either AmaNgwazi or Western United winning or being runners up. At present AmaNgwazi has won the Ziwana tope tier 22 times and is considered the second best team in the whole of Ziwana after its rivals Western United who have won the top tier for a record 27 times, five more trophies than AmaNgwazi. In the new era many AmaNgwazi fans hope that the club can stop Western United from reaching trophy number 30 by winning the top tier and catching up and eventually surpassing their rivals. However this will be difficult after losing their financial backers in Ngwazi Aisha Amanji after Royals were banned from interferring in sports.

It was time for the first training session for the Cote du Facilier Barons under the management of Alaric Henderson. I had tried, as much as possible, to monitor my alcohol consumption the day before training, but I still ended up waking up to a pounding hangover so I had to take another cup of coffee with me to the training ground. I tried to drink it all before stepping into the ground, but not before a fellow staff member noticed it. "Still sticking to the old ways, I see," said Bernard Atlee, head coach of the Cote du Facilier academy.

"I'm trying to limit myself, Bernie, I swear," I replied as I downed the last of the coffee and threw the cup into a trash can. "I managed to get myself down to four bottles before yesterday, when I somehow let myself down six."

"You really need to watch your drinks now, Helen," Atlee said. "I've heard what happened with you and the new gaffer last week. Don't take what he said to you lightly. He's definitely got more than an eye on you now. Alaric Henderson is a ruthless man, from what I've heard. If anyone so much as performs just one iota below his standards, they're off."

"Why do you think I've got enough coffee in me now to wake the dead?" I shot back, only for me to immediately regret my words. Atlee was only looking out for me after all. He was in a similar situation to me with regards to him keeping his spot in the team, only he didn't have to worry about a drinking problem jeopardizing his place in this team.

"So, are you ready to get back to work?" Atlee asked me.

"Can't say I'm looking forward to it, honestly," I replied. "Not after what happened last time."

"Oh, I'm sure it'll be fine this time," Atlee waved off. "Alaric won't stand for anything like that."

Well, then. So much for that. I really appreciate Atlee's optimism, I really do. But tensions have always been high in this team even before Alaric Henderson arrived, before it was obvious that the Barons were the worst team in the League of the Lost. Some of the players just don't like the other players they're playing with, you know what I mean?Oh, when they have to work together they do so, even if it is with their teeth clenched, but when things start falling apart some people use it as an opportunity to lash out at the ones they hate. This time it was Velma Shipley who started the ball rolling after she went in too hard on a tackle against Helga Williams. This was only supposed to be a training scrimmage. There was no need for Velma to go all in like that like this was an actual league game. But the damage was done. Helga's cry of pain could be heard across the training ground, and by the time the rest of the coaching staff got there some of the guys were already pulling apart Velma and Breanna Buckingham. Velma looked like she had gotten the worst of it from Bree, as the former had a black eye and a cut lip while the latter only had cuts around her knuckles.

"All right, now what the fuck is going on here, huh?" Alaric Henderson asked once he arrived at the scene. I don't know why, but it felt really strange hearing him curse. Maybe it's because I wasn't expecting that kind of language to come from him. Maybe.

"You heard what happened to Helga, right!?" Bree shouted. "That was a dirty tackle from Velma on Helga and she knows it! Everyone knows it!"

"I don't fucking care about who did this or what!" Alaric shouted back. "I will not tolerate behavior like this from anybody. Breanna, you're suspended for one month on half pay. That should give you more than enough time to think about what you've done. And as for you, Velma, don't think you're getting away from this scot-free. Breanna is right, much as you hate to admit it. A tackle like that will get you red carded immediately by even the most inconsistent referee in the league. A one-week suspension should do you some good. Now get them out of here and away from each other before they cause any more damage to anyone or anything."

As both team members and security escorted Velma and Bree off of the grounds, Alaric knelt down beside Helga and asked her, "Where does it hurt?"

"It's my ankle, the right one, the one that just got healed a few weeks ago," Helga muttered through gritted teeth. "Okay, we'll get you to the clinic to get scanned, and depending on the results, we might have to move you to the hospital."

As the medics carried Helga off on a stretcher, Bernard Atlee turned to Alaric and said, "That right ankle injury Helga just mentioned sidelined her for half of last season. If Velma's tackle did damage to that area... then I don't know for how long she'll be out this time."

"Jesu," Alaric muttered. "Helga's our starting striker. Heck, she's our only striker on the roster right now. Where the fuck have you seen a team going into the start of the season without a single striker in their lineup?"

"You know, I could offer a solution," Atlee said, "but I don't think you'll like it."

"Wait, you're not talking about Betty, are you?" Alaric asked, referring to his daughter Betty Henderson.

"She's very talented, Alaric," Atlee said. "Helen here will vouch that. She's very young, yes, but young players with the skills that Betty has need to be tested out on a real pitch sooner rather than later."

"But she's not a striker! She's an attacking midfielder," Alaric continued.

"So she just has to play a bit further up the pitch than usual," Atlee waved off. "Betty already has the necessary skillset. Converting her into a forward is going to be easier than you think."

"I still don't think this is a good idea," Alaric muttered. "The transfer window is still open. Maybe there's still a striker out there that we can sign for cheap."

"But if not?" Atlee asked.

"Then I'm not going to like one bit of anything that I'm about to do next," Alaric said.

All about the Gothanita Isles
Otksarin, the economic powerhouse of TGI
Part 2: Sports

Unexpectedly, football is never Otksarin's favourite professional sport. You would imagine it to be as such, but while many people play football at a community level, the most popular professional sports happen to be aquatics and badminton.

Being an island state in the tropics, water sports such as water polo, swimming and diving has a special place in the hearts of many Otskars. From young, such sports have had a special place in many Otksars, and many aspire to be the swimming champion in Otskarin, the diving champion, or even participate in college water polo.

The annual college water polo championship is something that is held only in Otksarin. Occasionally, teams from other parts of TGI will be invited to the championship, but the winner will always be among the 20-ish teams that take part in the competition yearly. The Otksarin swimming competition circuit is also something that many aspiring swimmers and professional swimmers in Otksarin take part in, and the country aspire to be able to host this competition for the international participants.

Badminton, and then football, are ranked behind in terms of popularity. While more people know how to play football, the number of professional athletes in football is much less as compared to badminton. Badminton is a much popular sport in Otksarin, as compared to other racket sports like tennis.
