These problems are real regardless what you believe my motivations are for pointing them out.
If this was an actual problem, the company wouldn't have made this internet network in the first place out of fear of creating destructive chain reactions that would damage most satellites. The fact that they went through with it means these (very expensive) satellites aren't going to collide with anything in the first place. No matter how you see it, this doesn't seem to be a real problem. If it was, it would affect the creators of the network more than anyone else.

Wouldn't be the first time a long-term problem was ignored or minimized for short-term gain.

Wouldn't call the creation of an entire internet network from scratch a short-term plan, but ok.
How about we care about the actual space junk that do nothing but float around, instead? Assuming we actually care about this problem?

Massively increasing the number of satellites massively increases the existing issue, and a debris cloud of superfast pieces of junk enveloping the planet is a rather serious problem which needs to be dealt with before it compounds later.

Crowding orbital space is actually a serious problem, which could just block us from seeing the stars from Earth or could actually make it impossible to leave the planet for generations. But I'm not complaining about his companies at all. I'm complaining about the attitude that people have towards him specifically. Why shouldn't I respect the Technoking?
Because he's a piece of shit.If his company...
If Elon Musk never showed up to work again, the companies he's associated with would carry on just fine. If you get satellite internet some day, that will have nothing to do with Elon Musk. He isn't building the satellites himself. He isn't designing them. His name is just on some documents saying that he's in charge.

I still can't believe that a company is spending astronomical amounts of money (no pun intended) to build a network that will self-destruct a few years down the road. Makes no sense financially.
Something tells me this network will prove to be more resilient than current wired network technology, especially copper-based networks that physically degrade over time. Maybe more companies will start putting satellites up there once this technology becomes less expensive to maintain, no matter how much NSG warns about the sky falling down on us.

I don't think we needed to intervene in Bolivia, as it was doing fine except for corruption.
But we should overthrow Venezuela. I think everyone will be thankful that Maduro's corrupt ass is either in jail or in a coffin.

Quite offtopic, but, what is the plan afterwards.
America has done some overthrowing in the past, that's the easy part. The hard part is what comes after.
Overthrowing Saddam Hussein took less than a month. But the aftermath took(is taking) a whole lot longer.

Don't worry. By the time this becomes relevant, thanks to the Technoking we will already have observatories on the moon.
Ground based telescopes on the Moon are a terrible idea. Prohibitively expensive and rife with engineering challenges in dealing with the extremes of the lunar environment and its effects on keeping instruments at the appropriate temperature. Nothing about them couldn't be accomplished much cheaper on an Earth orbiting platform or on the Earth's surface.

Idk just place someone who knows how to run the ecomomy so that you don't have a 69420666% annual inflation rate again

Good to see that you don't know.
I don't know either. What I do know is that it's a bloody hard problem, that requires careful planning before being executed. And even then it might go wrong.
Not a fan of Maduro here either, but without having a solution that will work and is an improvement, i'd let crappy dictators stay.

People who want to allocate scarce resources to most effectively leverage space exploration and expansion? Space is great and exploration/discovery/innovation is great but dumb projects are dumb projects.

Its not a dumb project, he is planning on bring the internet to places where it would cost 100's of millions to bring it in as fiber, and he is going to make money while doing good.
Which is the point, everyone says let's do this, or let's do that. He went out and raised the money to do what he wants, he at least has the balls to put his money where his mouth is and do something. Where everyone else wants someone else to foot the bill.

We were talking about a telescope on the Moon, not Starlink.
